As mentioned previously, VR can be applied in education field and it is because it is immersive and engaging, which can provide unique and memorable experiences for students.
Taking STEM education (Science, technology, engineering, and math) as an example, "Students may go for a virtual field trip to see how wind farms generate electricity or understand a particle accelerator's inner workings." This can let student have a first-hand experience of how certain theories work in a low cost.
Moreover, interaction can help students to have a better understanding on the concepts provided, while immersive experience can motivate students engage more with the content. Immersive experience can "benefit students who may have difficulty paying attention to traditional class lectures."
"Additionally, VR can help students better understand complex concepts by allowing them to interact with digital objects and simulations. This can lead to improved retention and understanding of the material."
For my project, I created a VR experience with gamified content, which includes certain interactions. It shows I can create immersive and interactive experience, with some meaningful message. The message is about when we love our mother nature, it will reward us back with biodiversity, and this kind ideas and techniques in serious game can be applied in STEM education.
