Hey do you guys remember that time that I very very sanely drew chibis for 100 different undertale aus?

Because somebody reminded me of that recently and I figured sure why not, let’s bring that back for a bit.

I’m pretty sure you can’t find much on the bulk of these AUs. There are a lot of broken links, if you go back to the original posts. That said, there’s only one or two of these that I actually regret drawing... mostly though I think it captures a snapshot of what the fandom was like in 2016-2017.

Something about the angels in Supernatural gets me, like the best way to sum up how they are is lost children. Their father, the one who they took orders from and the only one they ever looked up to left, and now they are stuck in pure confusion.

Some go to earth and experience human things that make them want to stay and help humanity, some want to find their father and bring him home, some try to be independant and act like they dont need him.

Naomi and Gadreel thought they were doing their best to help and didn't know they hurt others so much because they had no guidance

Hannah simply followed Castiel because she looked up to him and had nobody else to look up to

Castiel knew he needed his father back but always tried to do things on his own

Gabriel and Balthazar (The icons) acted like they didnt need their dad because they truly didnt, Gabriel was happy passing as a trickster and getting hopped up on lollipops and twizzlers, and Balthazar was fine living his life in luxury (and hating Celine Dion)

And then theres the ones I cant excuse like Lucifer and that writer mf, I forgot his name.

Was it an E name? No, it was a G, he was an antagonist, manipulator, Kevin's archangel? HELLO????

Edit: Smbdy commented that his name was Metatron, so now I remember

Thinking about just soft ass vibes with undertale characters tbh like I just think about fun platonic moments with these characters we’ve all come to care about so much.

Imagine baking on Saturday mornings with toriel frisk and flowey. Flowey complains the whole time but still passes you guys ingredients as you all sing along to fun tunes and bake a myriad of different pies and treats.

And think of late night anime binges and makeover nights with alphys mettaton and undyne just staying up and absolutely yapping about theories and ideas about whatever anime you’re currently watching gushing incessantly over ships and action scenes and everything else you can think of ending the night in a pile of giggles and exhausted laughter.

Of even a game night with papyrus and sans watching them compete with eachother as sans very easily swipes the floor with both of you as you complain about it and forget the pasta that you and papyrus have definitely burnt by now.

Or gardening with asgore as he teaches you and frisk about the different kind of plants you can use to make teas and infusions.

And think mostly of Sunday potluck style family dinners where you all get together a table filled with family, food, laughter and the safety and comfort of people you care about idk just thinking wholesome thoughts.

i’m kinda glad during my undertale phase i just watched the game and didn’t actually play it i don’t know how i would react finding out I accidentally committed a genocide just because I thought I was playing like gay pokemon

Something which bothers me a lot in Undertale is the lack of atonement and acountability all characters ecxept for Asgore lacks. What do you mean Toriel gets scot free from abandoning her kingdom in a time of need? What about Papyrus? Where are his calling outs for his constantly self boasting, pride and stupidity into always thinking of himself as great when he is lesser than his peers, does not realize we are insulting him when we choose to? Also where is the call out for Undyne to trying to kill us, same with Metatton. Sans must be the worse. His innaction and constantly machine gunning of unfunny jokes makes him more annoying than endearing. Where are the call outs for his utter lack of innaction, the calling out for his failed attempts of humour, the pranks he plays on us? If anything, a no mercy neutral is the only route where Sans gets some form of commeupance as he is now condemned to live in an underground devoid of friends and family due to his innaction. Just because he becomes the final boss in geno that doesn't make him a good judge, its just proves how pathetic he is. It proves that his laziness and innaction to do the bare minimum makes him better off dead. I mean, holy shit how retarded the early fandom was to see him as a badass rather than a pathetic excuse of a man. No wonder there were cases of grooming one after another at the time. A lot of times its hard not to see Undertale as something quite pretentious when looked deeper upon. Because what do you mean you should forgive and embrace people who abused you, harmed you, activelly atempted murder against you? What the fuck kind of retarded mentality is that? You're just opening yourself for further abuse. And I fear the same will happen in Deltarune. Susie better be called out for her past actions because the scars in your skin aren't justification to scar others. Noelle needs a wakeup call 'cause her danger seeking nature is not doing her good. And Kris needs to be called out on mistreating us the player because its not my fault I am stuck inside some boyfailure's colon who turns people into fascists who forces everybody to call him a they them when we wanna call him a he him.

My undertale phase took place in one of the most miserable periods of my life, but having a game that felt like home with the characters that felt like family made the burden of living way less heavy.

It helped me to find community, friends, people that became the closest family for me. It gave me the place in the world I thought I had no place in.

Thank you for the childhood, undertale.
