The team looked at him in disbelief as you retreated to your car after dropping off his forgotten phone (which you were sure was on purpose).

Everyone was silent for a few seconds as they connected the dots, but Morgan was the first to break the silence.

“Wait, pretty boy, that’s who you’ve been dating?”

He nodded sheepishly, embarrassed to be caught.

“Yeah, for a couple of months now. But don’t make a big deal out of it.”

Morgan nodded, turning around in his chair to face the computer.

“That’s fine. We’re just a little surprised.”

Spencer flushed more, the tips of his ears turning red as he rolled a pencil between his fingers.

“I can get a date. Nothing is stopping me.”

Emily perched on the edge of his desk, breaking the awkward silence with a sip of coffee.

“They’re just a little… rougher than we expected.”

He turned to her, leaning back in his seat.

“Not really. We went to a Metallica concert recently, and it was a great experience.”

She nearly spat out her coffee, and Morgan had to do a double take.

“You and Metallica?” Derek asked incredulously.

“Yeah, they’ve got a good rhythm. Plus, it makes them happy.”

Emily nods, straightening up and setting down her coffee.

“As long as we don’t see you come into the office with eyeliner and leather jackets.”

Now it’s Spencer’s turn to be shocked, his embarrassment returning tenfold.

“Um, no. That’s definitely not my thing.”

Me and a buddy (Tiwa) are gonna be creating a Metallica zine just in time for Valentine’s day! the theme is going to revolve around this holiday by show casing talented Metallica creators from any platform. We’re currently looking for artists and writers to join our short termed project! Anything you can put on a screen without having to click a link will be accepted. This includes digital and traditional art, photography, collages, fanfiction, appreciation pieces, poems, anything as long as it is safe for work and fits the theme. Sign ups are open until January 10th. The submission form will be sent the 10th as well, and submissions are due the 31st.

You know I think it’s really funny the way people assume that just because we are so fucking passionate about a band or a singer or whatever it is, we get told off that we’re parasocial.  I am having a conversation with @songbirds-sweet right now and the fact that her fucking so-called friends blocked her because she’s passionate about who she loves and who she admires, she gets called para social just because she’s participating in fandom things? Do you wanna know what really IS parasocial!?

Middle aged mothers who are fans of the band HANSON, deciding to fucking move to fucking Tulsa Oklahoma to be closer to the band.

That fucking doll lady blog who participated in the conspiracy that Louis from One Direction wasn’t a real father. Taking a fucking BABY DOLL and creating an account around it posing it as Louis’ son to prove that he wasn’t a real dad, to further drive the larry stylinson conspiracy.

A thought, while stuck in traffic in the back of an uber this afternoon: After months of Steve and Eddie hanging out and Eddie pining like crazy after his straight friend, and carefully not making him uncomfortable, because there's no way anything will ever happen, and even if there was a chance, Eddie wouldn't risk the friendship for that tiny percentage. After months and months of this, Steve gets a boyfriend. And Eddie hates the guy immediately, and gets mean about it.

Extra credit if Steve assumed Eddie would never think of him like that because Eddie has been overcompensating for his crush, and teasing a little too much about how he's a jock, and they're so different people double take in the streets, and blah blah blah. So Steve swallowed his own crush so he can keep his friend, and doesn't understand why his (second) best friend is being like this.

Neither of them were so visibly pining that the group knows. Steve mentioned it a little to Robin, but not as a Big Deal. Which means its not until Eddie starts cancelling plans and isolating himself that the group starts to consider potential explanations.

Double bonus extra credit if the guy Steve is dating is genuinely a good guy. Perfectly nice, sense of humor, attractive, even enjoys hanging out with his boyfriend's various children. Steve really does like him. This isn't the first guy who might say yes. They're actually good together.

So we eventually get Eddie who is aching because he's fucked up his friendship, it turns out his straight crush isn't straight, and he desperately wants them to break up, and simultaneously feels horrible about that.
