Eddie's whole upbringing has been nothing but sports, high achievement, and popularity. Despite the great life that he has, no one knows just how much he's been suffering in silence. He's been under his dad's iron thumb since childhood. Al's tyrannical method of "tough love" has forced Eddie to be a winner and failure has never be an option. He can't take the pressure, he wants out. Eddie doesn't want to follow in his dad's footsteps, he wants to be himself. But what other choice does he have?

Chrissy is happy, free, and she can make as many "Screw Society" speeches all she wants in the cafeteria. Her love of fantasy novels, D&D, and metal music knows no bounds. Despite her difficult childhood, she's been happily living with her aunt in Forest Hills trailer park ever since she moved in at 10 years olds. She's had to help with paying the bills however she can, the most money she gets comes from dealing with high school students. She's sold to goths, burnouts, party animals, and nerds. The last customer she ever expected to sell to was a jock. Especially since that jock is all star basketball player Eddie Munson.

They've both been harboring a secret crush on each other since middle school.
