There's a present under the Christmas tree that wasn't there two hours ago. 

It makes Tommy stand stiff as a poker in the doorway of his own living room, his mind full of possible break-in scenarios. However, the typical signs are missing. No ripped-out drawers, no shattered glass; and what burglar would bring instead of taking something? The somewhat sad little tree, which Tommy didn't actually want to put up in the first place but then did because it's Christmas after all, seems to shine a little brighter thanks to the present. 

Carefully, he approaches the tree under whose green branches the box lies. Its red wrapping, decorated with little Christmas trees, is reflected in the equally red and shiny Christmas baubles. Of course, there’s only one way to how the present got under the tree, only one person who’d be able to do it. Buck still has a key to Tommy's house. He hasn't been in touch since the break-up, and Tommy has missed the perfect time where you presumably ask for the things that the other person still has in their possession. 

The little red box bears Evan’s signature so much, it hurts. It is not particularly carefully packaged, although you can see he's made an effort. Instead of just buying a box, he has wrapped whatever is in the parcel in wrapping paper. It’s wrinkled, the small trees on it are uneven. Tommy can almost see it: Evan sitting at his kitchen table, his tongue between his half-open lips, concentrated in a tangle of adhesive tape. A man with such skillful hands, yet he simply can’t coordinate them. Hands that save lives but fail when cutting paper. Opposites that are downright confusing - and yet so attractive. 

Tommy lets out a sigh that echoes off the walls of his room, as if his own house is mocking him for his self-inflicted loneliness. He holds the small gift in his hands and wonders whether he should really open it. What’s the intention behind it? Why give him a present? The truth is, Evan had gifted him with his mere presence, probably without even knowing it. Getting that back would be a far greater gift than whatever may be in this box. 

The only problem is that he believes he doesn't deserve either. 

Tommy carefully pulls on the adhesive strip, runs a finger beneath the paper and very gently removes it. There is a plain white box underneath. Maybe it was a spontaneous idea to wrap it, but then why go to all the trouble for an undertaking that Evan also knows he hardly has mastered? Tommy's thoughts are on a rollercoaster, a constant up and down, and every steep descent causes tingles in his guts. 

Tommy shakes the box. There’s a soft tinkling sound inside, metal scraping against the cardboard of the box. He turns the box over in his hands, looks at it from all sides, but he is only delaying the inevitable, and he knows it. Opening the lid feels like tearing off a band-aid. Inside is a folded note on a layer of tissue, as green as the little trees on the wrapping paper, but not as green as the branches of  Tommy’s Christmas tree. Green as hope, maybe. 

Tommy,

I still see a future. E. 

Tommy stares at the note, his eyes actually looking right through it, far away; back to a time perhaps when he was less afraid. His fingers carefully feel their way over the tissue in the box. There’s still time to put aside the message, the box, the hope. Maybe he's too much of a coward for that, too. Tommy reaches under the paper, lifts it out of the box and tosses it aside. It gently slides under the tree, almost exactly where the present was. A sign, or not; everything is a sign or it isn’t. 

There’s a key in the box.

That’s not the key to Tommy’s house. Even if it would have been a weird way to return it like this, his deceptive heart feared just that for a moment. But it's also not the key to Evans Loft, because Tommy didn't give it back either. Silly, that they both had clung to this symbols so much. So, it’s neither his key nor Evan’s, and it only takes a quickening heartbeat longer for Tommy to realize. It really is a symbol, this key. One that not only relies on Tommy's curiosity, but also trusts that he will rise to the occasion. 

Suddenly, his phone is in his hands.

This the key to your heart, Evan? 

Bating his breath, he’s waiting for an answer.

At your building, Johnny and Jaehyun helped you drag the spaceman up to your apartment on the third floor, and you had them deposit him on your bed. Johnny brought his travel vet kit up from the car, and together, you managed to get the shiny silver jacket off of him. Underneath, he had a fairly plain white top, which was also torn and blood-soaked. Johnny snapped on a pair of gloves before he pushed the hem up to appraise the stranger’s side, where there was a huge gash in his flesh.

“Oh, Christ, okay,” Johnny sighed, inspecting the wound. “I guess I’ll disinfect and suture it up?”

“Just do it,” you mumbled, pressing a towel to the man’s sweat-sheened forehead.

“Jaehyun, mind assisting?”

“You do know the ‘Dr.’ I put in front of my name is just decorative, right? It’s in Poetry—”

“And now you can brag to all your colleagues that you’ve done real medicine like a real doctor,” Johnny snapped back. “Disinfectant, get it.”

With Jaehyun assisting him, Johnny made quick work of patching him up. Pressing the bandages down over the site so the adhesive would stick, Johnny then disposed of his navy-splattered gloves. He grabbed a stethoscope, putting the end up against the spaceman’s chest.

“I think he’s alive?” Johnny announced. “I don’t know. If he is, he doesn’t have a heart because I’m not getting anything.”

He shifted the placement, presumably to listen to his breathing, and an even more bewildered look overtook his features. Sliding the stethoscope over to the right side of the man’s chest, he sat there for a moment, just listening.

“It’s on the other side,” he breathed out. “His heart’s on the right side.”

“But he has a heartbeat?” You clarified.

“Yeah, he does. Faint, but it’s there. He’s breathing, too. A bit shallow, but otherwise normal. I think.”

You let out a sigh of relief. “Thank God.”

“I don’t think there’s anything else I can do until he wakes up. If he wakes up.”

“Right, thank you Johnny,” you smiled wearily your friend. “I’ll call you when he wakes.”

Jaehyun and Johnny looked at each other skeptically. Jaehyun spoke up, “You’re going to stay here alone with some rando we literally pulled out of a burning hunk of metal?”

“My couch only fits one person. So unless you two are offering to sleep on the floor to protect me or whatever?”

“Call us if anything happens,” Johnny sighed, packing up all of his supplies.

“Of course,” you nodded. “Thanks, guys.”

You heard the sound of your front door clicking shut as you stayed sitting on the edge of your mattress, wiping the spaceman’s face. He really did look human, two eyes that were now shut, lashes resting on his cheeks, a nose practically just like yours, with an elegant slope to the bridge, and a pair of plush, pouty lips.

He let out a soft sigh, his head rolling over towards you. But then he went silent and still again.

You finished cleaning up his face as best you could, then pulled the covers up over him. Readjusting his bangs that had been stuck together by the damp washcloth you’d used, you gave a final determined nod to nobody in particular before standing up. Grabbing a change of pajamas from your dresser, you got everything you’d need from in here for the night, then went to leave.

“Alright…” You stopped at the threshold of your bedroom, looking over the spaceman’s sleeping figure one last time. “Goodnight, I suppose.”

And with that, you turned the lights out, and quietly closed the door behind you. You were sure to leave it slightly ajar, though, just in case. After taking a much-needed shower and getting ready for bed in your bathroom, you headed out to the living room. You set up a few pillows and blankets into a comfy-enough makeshift bed, then tucked yourself in. Despite the exhaustion in your muscles, the excitement of the night hadn’t worn off yet, and you laid awake for another hour just staring at your bedroom door.

Waking up in the morning to sunlight streaming in through your living room windows, you covered your eyes with a groan and rolled over to bury your face in the back cushions. The sound of your phone buzzing incessantly from the coffee table came, however, and with a guttural groan, you flopped back over to pick it up.

“Yeah?” You mumbled, not even checking the caller ID.

“Y/N?” It was Yuta on the other end.

“Who the fuck else would it be? You called me at whenever-the-fuck-in-the-morning.”

“Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.”

“Couch,” you corrected him, swinging your feet over as you sat up properly. “I slept on the couch.”

“Gave E.T. your bed? Such a kind hostess.”

The mention of your guest woke you up more. You got to your feet, shuffling towards the bedroom with a yawn. “Yeah, you know me, I’m a fuckin’ peach.”

“So how’s the…” Yuta dropped his voice to whisper into the phone, “Alien?”

The door hadn’t moved since last night, and you cautiously pushed it open to peer inside. You could see the stranger exactly where you had left him, laying on his back under your blankets, chest shallowly rising up and down. Pushing further into the room, you hesitated on whether to try to find a pulse again. You settled for trying once around his wrist, and if it didn’t work, then you’d just have to assume he was fine.

Surprisingly, you found his pulse in one go, and it felt steady.

“Fine, I think,” you answered Yuta quietly, walking back over towards your door. “He’s breathing, he has a heartbeat. He’s just not… ambulatory.”

“Still passed out cold?”

“Yeah.”

“Imagine if he was in one of those comas that you don’t wake up from, and we just had to deal with this comatose alien.”

“Stop, you’re going to manifest that or something!” You hissed.

“Not manifesting, just joking.”

“You’re hilarious.”

“Anyway, some of us went back to the beach this morning, because Mark really wanted to see the UFO—”

“Don’t touch anything!”

“We couldn’t. The whole place is locked down. Couldn’t even park on the shoulder, it was swarming with cops. They were still putting out the fire.”

“Do you think any of the ship survived?”

“I have no clue. Doyoung said he’d ask his dad about it.”

Doyoung’s dad was the fire chief, making your participation in the conflagration last night even more dicey.

“Tell him to call me as soon as he finds out anything.”

“I think he was already planning on that, but I’ll make sure he knows.”

“Good. Also, I’m sorry for kicking you in…” You trailed off as you turned around to see two big brown eyes staring at you from your bed. “I’ve got to go, Yuta. I’ll call you back.”

“What’s hap—”

You hung up.

Let's see huh

Nerdy seb asks kimi out with a cute ecoli petri dish. Like writes something like "I like you ♡" or "will you be mh boyfriend" yadayada

Ngl imagine if kimi isn't in science and ate it 💀

Kimi hears his phone buzz. That must be Seb. Only person allowed through his Do Not Disturb mode.

-- Can you get me some coffee please?

He could use a break. This simulation was going nowhere. He picks up Seb’s coffee, almond milk cappuccino with non-fat whip and two pumps of vanilla syrup, and a black coffee for him. Of course he memorised his boyfriend’s coffee order. 

It’s a short walk to Seb’s biology building. 

-- I’m outside.

Soon enough, Seb comes out of his lab. “Thank you so much, Kimi. I needed that,” Seb says as he lets out a satisfied sign, “Do you want to see what I’m working on right now?” 

“Sure.” 

They put down the coffee on Seb’s office desk and walks into the lab. Kimi thinks it’s amazing how different a biology lab could look, no screeching sounds of metal on a lathe, no smell of lubricants or adhesives, just the smell of alcohol and a distinct smell of animals and nature. 

“Look!” Seb gestures, a small petri dish. White speckles on a milky base. The white speckles spelled I love you.  

“I love you too. What is this?” Kimi asks. It looks like jelly. Kimi gave it a wiggle. It wiggles. Like jelly. He poked it. Almost like jelly. He scooped some up to taste it. Not jelly. 

“Kimi, no! That’s E. coli!” Seb looked worried. He also looked like he was about to burst into laughter, “Why would you eat that? Why would you put anything in a lab in your mouth?”

“It looked like jelly. It didn’t taste like it.” Can’t blame him, they should have made it look less like jelly.

Seb bursted out with laughter. “Oh Kimi, never change.” 

Kimi was fine. No issues eating whatever that ecoli thing was.

“Here.” 

Seb got handed a simple silver band, matching silver chain looping through. “What is this?”

“I made it. For you.” Kimi said, scratching his neck. Seb knew he was embarrassed. His boyfriend was adorable.

The ring had grooves running through them. Seb pushed at the grooves, and the ring opened. Like the orbit of the planets on the solar system. I love you engraved on one, the date that they met on another. 

“Don’t eat it.” Kimi said, a smile on his face. 

“It’s beautiful. I love you” 

“I love you too.”

Nino: I’m weirdly excited for this! And the best part? Alec put all the tall people on a team together! And with Denise and Kim, we can’t lose any physical challenges!

Alec: Your first challenge is called… Critter Catch! The object of this challenge is to mark the most animals my underpaid and underfed interns have released into the wild before five hours are up! To mark said animals, you will use these brightly-colored, super adhesive stickers with your team’s logos! *Tosses rolls of stickers at the teams* Designed those myself, by the way. Now, once an animal is marked, an opposing team member cannot mark them! And trust me, I’ll know. The team who has the most animals marked by the end of the challenge wins immunity and will not be getting sent home via voting system by the loser team. The loser who does get sent home via voting system by the loser team? They’ll have a little surprise waiting for them. Are we ready?!

Ismael: NO!

Alec: Great! Release the beasts!

*A few of Alec’s underpaid interns open metal cages, releasing some feral and unnatural looking animals*

Kim: Ew! What’s wrong with them?!

Simon: That ferret has a third eye!

Juleka: That gopher is giving me the middle finger.

Alec: Hehe, yeah… Here’s the thing. The island is sort of… Littered with toxic waste.

Max: I beg your pardon?!

Myléne: WHAT?!

Chloé: Where’s my phone?!

Alec: So, watch out for glowing barrels, and don’t let them smell your fear!

Zoé: What happens if- *A squirrel pounces on her* AAAAHHH!! IT’S TRYING TO EAT MY EAR! *Denise punches the squirrel off of her*

Alec: Well, don’t just stand around! Get those mutant animals!

Myléne: This is highly- *Alec blows an airhorn in her face*

Myléne: I signed up so that I could use the million euros for good. But tormenting poor animals for the cause just seems… I-I don’t even know what.

*Team Shortie is walking through the woods, trying to come up with a plan*

Max: Okay, we should cover more ground if we split up. Alix, Lacey, you two take to the trees. The rest of us will stick to the ground.

Kim: *Walking by* As always.

Alix: Shut up, Kim! Max, you were saying?

Max: If you have to, trip a memeber of Team Glamazon. Trust me, they won’t see it coming.

Jean: That, I can do- RABBIT! *Grabs the rabbit by its ears and slaps a sticker on its fur* Gotcha!

Myléne: Jean!

Jean: Honey, I need that ten million! I intend to buy tickets to every Broadway show… Or, you know, my University fund. Both are important.

*Meanwhile with Team Glamazon, Zoé, and Kim come across a crocodile resting on the ground*

Kim: Alright, I’ll sneak up behind it an cause a distraction. Then, I’ll climb a tree. While it’s trying to eat me, Zoé, you slap a sticker on its tail, and then-

Zoé: Marc’s wrestling it.

Kim: … WHAT?!

Marc: SAY UNCLE! SAY IT!

Kim: Whoa.

[Confessional]

Kim: So, I was not expecting a crocodile wrestler from someone so… Lanky. Don’t get me wrong, Marc’s cool, but I just wasn’t expecting… That.

Marc: *Hog ties the crocodile with his hoodie and slaps a sticker on its snout*

Kim: Marc! Where’d you learn how to do that?!

Marc: I’ve got family out on the countryside. I learned how to do that with my cousins when they get on my nerves. Now, let’s go! *Runs off*

[Confessional]

Zoé: It must be the thrill of the competition. It happens; one minute, you’re all meek and shy, but when a competition with a big prize at the end comes along, you’ll do whatever it takes. Including wrestling with a killer reptile. I gotta say, though, I’m hoping to see Marc take down a bear, or something.

[End confessional]

*Lacey inches along a branch, ever so slowly… Then slaps a sticker on a vulture*

Lacey: YEAH! I OWN YOU! *The vulture pecks at her* OW! Hey! Little help?!

*Alix throws a stick at the vulture, making it fly off*

Lacey: Thanks.

Alix: Hey, no problem. Never liked those things. Now, come on. Between you and me, we’ve got nine animals. Who knows how far ahead The Glamazons are?

*Meanwhile*

Aurore: Oh, hell no, Bourgeois!

Chloé: It’s not like anyone will notice! Just put your sticker exactly where the other team put theirs, and make sure it’s not an inch off! How hard can that be?

Aurore: Very, when the animal is moving!

Alix: *Points to the ground where Aurore and Chloé are arguing* Trouble in paradise.

Lacey: *Snickers* This should be good.

Chloé: Ugh! It’s not that hard! *Notices a snake with the Shortie sticker on its tail, and places a Glamazons sticker on the exact same spot* There! And look at that. Nothing happened.

Alec’s Voice: Team Glamazon loses five points! Bringing their total down to eight!

Aurore: WHAT?!

Simon: Okay! Which fucker did what?!

*Lacey and Alix, meanwhile, are giggling from the treetops*

Alec’s Voice: Did I forget to mention? You cheat, you lose points. And that deduction puts team Shortie ahead! Good luck, Glamazons! You’ll need it!

*While walking, Ismael comes across a cave*

Ismael: Let’s see. Million… Or possibly get mauled by a mutant bear… I’ll find some tall-ass to help me out. *Notices Alya walking by* Hey, Alya! If the Shorties win, I’ll talk to Reshma and convince her to not vote you off.

Alya: … What do you want?

Ismael: Just be a distraction. A loud one.

Alya: … I’m in. *Follows Ismael into the cave and starts screaming. Seconds later, she runs out while being chased by a bear with a sticker on its hide, courtesy of Ismael*

Ismael: You’re a trooper, Alya! I owe you.

*In another part of the forest, Nathaniel is hiding behind a bush as a group of mutant rabbits go past him. With a bated breath, he runs out and slaps stickers on three of them*

Nathaniel: YES! *They start snarling at him* Fuck.

*Meanwhile, Nino is trying to coax Adrien into putting a sticker on a sleeping fox*

Adrien: What if it wakes up and tries to attack me?

Nino: It won’t while I’ve got my stick. Just do it quick and-

Nathaniel: *Runs past them screaming* RUN! THEY’RE GONNA KILL US ALL!

*His screaming wakes the Fox up, and it snarls at Adrien and Nino*

Nino: N-nice, fox. Let’s just-

Adrien: *Points ahead* RABBITS! *He grabs Nino’s hand and drags him away from the massive group of rabbits coming after them. Once they swarm over the fox and leave, all that’s left of the fox is a pile of bones*

[Confessional]

Nino: *Rocking back and forth; shudders* S-so… So many rabbits.

[End Confessional]

Alec: *Reclining in a lounge chair and watching the events on a flat screen* The Shorties take the lead thanks to Chloé deciding to cheat! This won’t do well for here during voting! Let’s see how Denise is doing. *Changes the channel, showing Denise wrestling with a bear* This! This is why I do these things!

Denise: SOMEONE SLAP A STICKER ON THIS THING!

Kim: *Runs by screaming a slaps a sticker on the bear’s arm* RUN AWAY NOW! FERRETS ARE COMING!

Denise: What are you- MIERDA! *Pushes the bear off of them and runs after Kim as a hoard of ferrets give chase*

*Meanwhile, Marinette and Vivica are fending off against several animals using tree branches. Jean slaps several stickers on the animals getting hit toward him*

Jean: Keep ‘em coming!

Marinette: You could help us!

Jean: Then who will put the stickers on these weirdly deformed animals?!

[Confessional]

Jean: Plus, I just got a manicure.

[End confessional]

Myléne: Where does that man get off? *Places a sticker on a squirrel, only for it to hiss and try to bite her* Hey! I’m on your side!

Cosette: *Kicks the squirrel away* It doesn’t know that!

[Confessional]

Cosette: I’m sure we’ll see a more feral side to Myléne as the show progresses.

Myléne: There is no way in hell I would ever harm an animal!

Nino: *Checks his watch* There’s only two hours left, and the shorties are ahead! No thanks to you, Chloé!

Chloé: Do you HAVE to keep saying that?!

Glamazons: YES!

Zoé: *Slaps a sticker on a bird as it flies by* Here’s what I’m thinking. Don’t think! Just tag! Do not be afraid of the mutant animals!

Reshma: But-

Zoé: NO FEAR! *Grabs a possum by its tail and slaps a sticker on its back, making it try to scratch her* See?! Easy!

Kim: I’m liking this plan! *Runs into a bear cave, screaming*

Alya: … He’s gonna die.

*Meanwhile*

Alec: There’s only an hour and forty minutes left until the end of the first trial! Will the Shorties come out on top for once? Will Kim get mauled by a bear? Will I stop asking questions? Find out right here! Right now! On Total! Drama! Paris!

*Commercial Break*

Alec’s Voice: With only thirty minutes left, The Shorties are still ahead!

Aurore: *Groans* Why are we so bad at this?!

Kim: *Covering up his arm wound* Maybe the fact it takes some of us three minutes to touch the floor when we bend over?

Marc: Was that necessary?

Kim: There’s no shorties nearby to poke fun at, so yes!… Tall-Ass.

[Confessional]

Marc: I just might vote him off for saying that to me… *Sighs* No, I won’t.

[End confessional]

*Mireille, Sabrina, and Ismael are hiding behind some bushes, watching a mutant platypus sleeping*

Ismael: Okay, who’s got a plan?

Mireille: Maybe I can make a distraction?

Ismael: That’s good. Alright, maybe-

Nino: DON’T THINK! JUST TAG! *Slaps a sticker on the platypus’ hide, and runs off. However, the platypus spots the other three and hisses*

Sabrina: Oh, shit.

*Meanwhile*

Cosette: Come on out, you freaky-looking animals! I just wanna put a sticker on your furry selves!

Nathaniel: Hey, maybe let’s no provoke the mutant animals.

Cosette: We’re still alive, aren’t we? *Hears someone screaming and turns around to see Mireille, Sabrina, and Ismael running toward, and then past them* What the?

Sabrina: RUN! AND DON’T LET IT KICK YOU!

Cosette: What’s she-

Nathaniel: PLATYPUS! *He and Cosette run from the platypus as it gives chase* I HATE NATURE!

Alec’s Voice: *Laughing* Fifteen more minutes! Who wants immunity the most?!

Simon: I want it! *Slaps a sticker on a deer’s face and runs away* I regret auditioning!

Myléne: On his face?!

Simon: *From a distance* Yes!

*Meanwhile*

Kim: We’re too far behind! We need to find a bunch of animals, and fast!

Adrien: But, the Shorties already got lost of them-

Aurore: Wait, wait, wait. Shut yo our mouth. Look. *Points to a bunny poking it’s head out of a burrow* When there’s one. There’s more…

Ivan: At this point, I’ll risk anything. I did not jump out of a pane for nothing.

Zoé: GET ‘EM!

*The Glamazons run toward the burrow*

*Fifteen minute skater, the airhorn goes off*

“Daddy! Want some more?” You chirp happily as Douma nods, presenting the empty glittery pink tea cup to you as you pour imaginary liquid into the plastic ceramic with excited hops. For you and only you, his precious little ice princess, Douma has been practicing his imaginary play-along skills and he has found himself cuddled up to fit at a very small wooden table with his precious babygirl, listening to Frozen go on for you

A normal father should hate hearing Disney movies play all day but not Douma, he actually likes each one you want to watch and loves performing all the known songs, plus the infamous ‘Let It Go’ from Frozen for you with a luxurious show of pretty ice statues and trinkles of snow rain to make you feel like you’re apart of the scene. Hearing you laugh and seeing you smile further fuels that new sense of life, love and purpose Douma never had before

Douma hums excited and pleased with your party hosting skills, bringing the fake liquid up to his lips and loudly sipping as to show you that he is enjoying the party you set up for him. Sure, there’s no dead body parts of attractive women or a very fancy silky table sheet but he doesn’t need such treatment to enjoy his time with his precious daughter

You whine sadly, bringing down your cup when you see the dark credits roll. The movie is over already and it made you frown, ah, you won’t be sad for long as Douma politely places his ‘empty’ toy cup and shifts past the delicately organised table to meet the tv screen. Picking out the next movie from the huge stack besides the metal frame, he was quick to switch out Frozen for Mulan

As your very touchy, affectionate father. Douma does everything to make your day perfect, that includes working his brainwashed servants to exhaustion to gather as many Disney movies as possible to present to you. He doesn’t care if his cult members suffer immensely, they’ll be at peace soon by his own claws in one way or another. They must please his daughter and thankfully, he didn’t have to get himself dirty before coming to the party

The classic warning signs and other boring movie ads played on the previously black screen whilst you clapped your free hands together cheerfully and let Douma take them in his much larger palms. He sat down before you, going back to apple-sauce crisscrossing on the floor childishly. Douma is actually childish and playful so being able to play with a child is not as hard as suspected

“Sir Daddy, the cake is ready~” You chime in a playful professional tone when Douma presses play on the Mulan title screen to start up the sixth Disney movie of the early day and the signature Disney opening music begins purring through the air. Douma smiled happily, showing off his clean snowy fangs through his toothy grin. His claws picked at the napkin sat on his toy plate as he picks it up and places it on his lap, his hands folding over as to be respectful to you

In no time, you pulled out a cute wooden replica of a stereotypical party cake from the toy oven sat besides you. Douma eagerly picked up the plastic cutlery wrapped up in a napkin, like the way you saw restaurants handle placing cutlery, as you played cutting the slices of the cake after pulling the fluffy adhesive spot off each other so it became four equal slices

Yes, he does. He can absolutely drive but he doesn’t like to drive unless he’s in the car by himself. For the most part he likes to be a total passenger princess.

Yes, he does! He has a few actually.  Lowbret on the right side, three on each earlobe, helix on the right ear, industrial on the left ear, orbital on left ear, double middle tongue piercings, nipple piercings, belly button piercing, double outer labia, fourchette and lastly a pubic piercing (which was recently added to the list). He feels he has enough of them but he IS a big fan of genital piercings so we’ll see if he wants any more of them.

Has some watercolor tattoos on his left arm which he is gonna dedicate to a sleeve of colorful tattoos depicting all sorts of art related things. Has a butterfly tramp stamp with swirls that wrap around the hips and end at the front. So far has a delicate looking lily of the valley  wrapped around his right wrist. End goal for him is two sleeves, left dedicated to art (he’s left handed) and his right one would be nature themed. Not sure if anything will be done on the legs. Probably not but we’ll see.

He actually took some time to go to art school back in the mid 90s and has considered going back for game development. Has taken coding classes and programming since he figured fixing up computers and laptops makes sense when you code. Wants to go back to art school since in the 2010s he dipped his toes in animation and has gotten better and better at it and really enjoys it. He took makeup classes.

He's very cozy and content where he is career wise. In terms of life in general he's been very hard at work to better himself mental health wise and he recognizes that he's come a very long way wants to keep doing better not just for his family but for himself too.

Immediate is only his grandfather. Yes, some of the other people in his “family” are still alive but he doesn’t consider them family and has cut them from his life despite some trying to reconnect. His father is still alive and they did meet up at one point but it was mostly so he could kill him though he just ended up ranting and cursing him out and spat at his apology.

He considers his found family his real and only family. He loves his parents-in-laws and gets along great with them and loves them and they love him. Loves his nephew Soren! His friends are his family and have been for long decades. The only blood relative he has is his loving grandfather who he considers a father. Loke is like the older brother he never had and Ginger as the little sister he never had. I know it’ll sound weird given the fact that he, Jelani and Trevor have a sort of sexual relationship but he considers Trevor like an older brother too.

In the future he and Jelani will have twins so his family will expand.

The Freedom, it is abounding. It’s like the system was a bunch of fish in a bucket and someone dumped us into the lake. We have taken off in every direction, the only lack is that of funds.

In a single subsystem: one of them is rendering drape adhesives on CAD, another reading and writing their favorite ship, another building a website for competition. I had to hold back an unrelated group from purchasing polymorph pellets because they have yet to finish the latest sewing project.

It’s permeated by a sense of Not Allowed. We’re building bonds outside of our set locations, which is Not Allowed. We’re expressing our multiplicity outwardly, which is Not Allowed. We’re gaining skills that were not in our predesigned life plan, which is Not Allowed.

I’m going to miss this so much. We don’t have to worry about food because we have Room and Board from the college. We don’t pay for extra lessons, materials, or certificates as long as we pretend to be from the right department.

I learned how to cut metal without those nasty slivers. We’re a psychology student. Someone had the guts to sign up for cultural clubs that we don’t look like we belong to, but I’m so excited to meet people who are also trying to recover a history stolen from them, even if ours was more recent. We get emails for weaponry clubs, which I didn’t know existed.

It’s access to everything, beyond what I’ve ever dreamed we could have. I want to cry from joy, but that is also Not Allowed. I’ve taken to cackling that gets progressively louder and more demented as I go on.

It’s not going to last forever. We’ll be lucky to have another 3 months. But it’s so so good. We can do so much outside of their thumb. We can preserve the Freedom, even if we can’t keep the individual elations. The world is bigger in person than through a porthole.

It’s pretty typical for Cam to come into the garage and see Vienna’s legs sticking out from under someone else’s broken-down car. Not so typical when it’s a car they’ve never seen before that looks like a PT Cruiser went undercover in the 1950s and into anaphylaxis.

“Did you get milk?” Vienna says, voice muffled by the two tons of hideous metal directly over her face. “We’re almost out.”

“Yeah, yeah.” Cam elbows the Jaguar’s door shut, their hands full with groceries and the poster tube. “When did we bring that in, and also, what the hell is it?”

“It’s a Hurtan. Retro custom coachbuilder. Like Morgan.”

“Looks more like Mitsuoka. What’s this one, the Hurtan My-Eyes?”

“Very funny. It’s an Author. And I think it’s gorgeous.” Cam can hear Vienna getting all dewy-eyed staring at the undercarriage. “I thought you’d be pleased that I’m working on a car from this century.”

“Oh, sure. But mostly I’m wondering if I towed it here in my sleep.”

“Well,” Vienna hedges, which is always a bad sign. “You know we referred that guy with the Prius to Sebastian’s place —”

“I remember.” Flushing the repair fee down the toilet would have been less painful.

“Well, he got this in last night and offered to hand it off to us in exchange. Towed it here this morning.”

Of course this all happened while they were out of the house. Awesome. Fantastic. Nothing but gratitude for the boundless gifts of Sebastian fucking Miro. “How generous.” Cam puts down the grocery bag. They’d planned to hang the poster up once Vienna was back in the house, but since they’re already arguing…

“Don’t be a sore winner, Cam,” Vienna says. “This is good for us. Better than — what are you doing?”

“Putting up a poster.” Or they will be, once they find the Blu Tack. “I stopped by Verkerke on the way back.” There it is, under a set of Allen wrenches, though it belongs with the other adhesives and they know they put it back last time.

Vienna rolls out from under the car just as Cam shakes the poster loose from the tube and lets it unfurl. Her face says it all. “Again? Really?”

“I don’t see the problem,” Cam lies. Vienna’s problem is with the bottom third of the poster, captioning the neon pink and gold sunset MIAMI DREAM in equally bold letters. It’s a miracle she hasn’t torn down the Miami Beach poster they put up last month. “I like having reminders of home.”

“And I don’t want those reminders advertising our former home to whoever walks into our garage.”

“Come on, V. Even if posters proved anything, which they don’t, everyone we meet knows we’re American, and they’ve probably noticed that we wear jackets when it’s seventy degrees out.” Vienna’s staring at the poster like she’s trying to burn a hole through it telepathically. Cam sets it down on the nearest workbench. “Miami’s a big place. No one’s going to tie us back to one race that went wrong. And our whole lives were there. All the good times. You can’t let one night completely overwrite that.”

💯- hmmm.. 1.)EAs eyes are naturally white and are only yellow because the activated deathloop is on them 2.) The reason they can modify themselves is because the later added taboo of not making new blueprints caused a conflict in the code and disabled it (I don't know how coding works at all but if mods can do this then so can the limiters) 3.) They also absorb oxygen with the fabricator arms in addition to eating and making things

💤-EA is a pretty light sleeper most of the time, unless they have someone they trust there.
