Wooo

Already got the outside of my apartment building done so im ready for tomorrow

Since we already know we're gonna have cheats to expand the number of units on one lot it has 8 units instead of 6

I'm basing it off luxury townhouses you'd find in New York

4 of them are gonna be occupied by sim families i make and are gonna be super personalized for those sims while the other 4 are gonna be more basic and just have random families

Right now I have it on the 64x64 lot in del sol Valley but I might move it somewhere else. Havent decided yet. Initially when I thought "luxury townhouses" I picture something in LA but as I've been building, the style fits the new England area better sooooo....not sure which sim world with a 64x64 would work for that. I think the park in San myshuno is 64x64 so I might put it there but the style could maybe fit in windenburg....but the area that the windenburg 64x64 lot is in doesn't really work for apartments.

#i am excite #havent had the drive to build in awhile #or play sims at all for that matter #but my favorite kind of build is back #and i feel like ive improved my apartment building skills #like its still kind of a big box like in sims 2 #but its not an ugly box #thats also just partly cuz build mode in sims 4 is so much better #i loved sims 2. but build mode in that game sucked lol #the only thing it had over sims 4 was you could build apartments if you had the apartment life pack #and also terrain tools were a little easier to use in my opinion #but ive gotten the hang of sims 4 terrain tools #and now we're getting an apartment pack #actually thought of something else i preferred in sims 2 #being able to choose the bedding swatch and the bed frame swatch separately #or the upholstery swatch and the wood/metal swatches on the couches or chairs #that was nice

do you need the pleasingly coordinated boxes, shelves, and other Storage Solutions from ikea or do you need to ask someone to help you organize your current setup

spending money is easier than the vulnerability of asking for help but objects won't give you the sense of control and clarity you crave

put the charming little drawer down you haven't even finished painting and sorting out the previous one

no little shelf you can attach to your coffee table can tame the chaos inside your skull sTOP

#i actually resisted both Systems and plants this time #went to get a steel pan and glass containers #because i need to be able to store leftovers in containers that can be salvaged if i forget about them #im also crying because the perfect gamer chair for me exists #and it's comfy and porpl and has funky geometric black wireframe going on #and it's. so so so spensiv #i've also learned that i love black metal furniture that's kinda like. wireframe isn't the right word #minimalist furniture skeletons #like if i gotta get mass produced whatever #give me steel in black and make it into a simple frame #that i can then fill with my weird shit and flowers #anyway you know how it is with ikea #you go in you lose yourself you find yourself again #and then have a hotdog and ice cream

#📗 my post #🧯 overhalliday (s/i)#yeah ummm yeahn . hey . theres a lot in here let me divulge in the tags #hes supposed to live in like a town thats pretty Scrunched In with buildings kind of surrounding the place so the debug building behind #is supposed to mimic the back alley area that he uses for all his scraps && parts. really id imagine at some point he put a tarp over it #so metal doesnt rust && whatnot . but theres not really a way to do that i think in the sims #the bathroom being right where the stairs are is both a) bc i wrote that in a fic b) sometimes houses are dumb okay we cant all win #there isnt an operating table apparently?? so im using a lounge chair as a stand in and honestly it works well #really if i wanted to i wouldve added like soo much more clutter because he is. not the most organized #ftr i think like every sims bed has a headboard and he DOES NOT have that hes got a bed frame and a mattress that is IT!!!#^ not every sims one . the ones that dont talks abt...bed bugs. which . ew #and for the record also i think his place is only unique in the sense that you walk in and theres a workshop . exterior wise theres #probably like a bunchhh that look the same as youre walking down . all scrunched together #i actually donthave a set place in mind that he lives i just know its like. a Town #a town that doesnt have a hardware store . so he takes a train if he ever needs supplies & it takes abt 10 minutes to get to the city #so hes not like. Cut Off per se but the locals definitely know his deal enough #idk looking at it and imagining a bunch side by side makes me think of likee. like. norway? <- my biases it was like the 2nd thing i google #it would be nice to live by a bunch of water #but also im . i dont know anything abt architecture this very easily could read as somewhere in america or something like that #idk but in my head it snows a lot there thats like all i have thought out

my cousins just replaced their pool deck no one speak to me im in mourning

#it seems like a silly thing to be upset over but like. i was half raised in that house. i know every room every hallway every drawer in #that kitchen like the back of my hand. i remember the star wars figurines in the bathroom and the eddie jordan shirt framed on the wall. i #can tell you exactly what that one christmas day 8 yrs ago was like and the feeling of the metal trim along the hallway between the hardwoo #and the carpet. i learned to swim in that pool. i remember jumping in through the loops in vacuum and trying to surf on the lifeguard #toroedoes and climbing out dripping wet and eating vegemite and cheese sandwhiches and savoys. i remember the smell of the chlorine and the #scratchy feel of the cushion covers for the chairs. mostly i remember how the brick deck around the pool felt when it was hot and wet under #your feet. that was the first thing that made me properly cry the first time we went back. it was where i cried before we left again. that #was one of the few things that truly felt like home for me. it sounds silly i know but i clung to anything i could remember.#i miss my childhood. i miss home.
