Meet Meryl Brûlée
Since she debuted in ‘Family Vacation’ I had her have quite a colourful life.
She and her husband decided to have a new outlook on life. Breaking their summer routines and trying to do more exciting things in their life. Meryl lives by the ‘Adventure before dementia’ motto.
Her husband Peter did more simple things like taking up biking or rock climbing. Starting off small at least, while Meryl went straight to things like bungee jumping, buying a sports car to race across the highway and trying strange new recipes for each family meal.
Her more outlandish personality shift was much for Peter but it got to a point where, of all things to split over, Meryl called him out on leaving a meal at a restaurant unfinished. Things got heated and they divorced.
Since then though, Charlene and Sharron Brûlée found their mum a little annoying with how chaotic things can get but Meryl still retains her discipline at the best of times, helping her children with homework, sometimes through first hand experience with the clubs she joins (astronomy, derby biking etc).
Meryl’s also something of a retro gamer, pulling out consoles from her 80’s teen hood for her downtime.
Oh and she stans Ava-Max which helped her with her divorce (thanks Myles).

I had a farm in Africa…
Karen Blixen, La ferme africaine (Out of Africa), 1937.
