Well, Mermay is almost done buuut, Aquatic batfam is always lovely. So which would you be fine hearing me ramble about-slash-work on the Oneshots lol

Eel Mer-   Eeels. Long wriggly friends. Now with apposable thumbs! And Bruce's growing adoption problem- and a slight family curse but shhh.

Merfolk-   I mean, fish! A mixture of modern and fantasy with the merfolk of Gotham waters being cryptids compared to the rest of the seas. The bats think it's hilarious.

Octopus Mer-   Octopi are fun. And you ever see the videos of octopus continuously escaping their tanks? Imagine if the octopi were vigilantes with weapons. Yeaah...

Crabtaur-  Lazarus crabs? Lazarus crabs! And a curse to them all that they have to work around in their day to day lives.

Nudibranch-   Sea Slugs? Indeed. And a lot of them poisonous and using the poisons in their work- along with messing with each other.

Mershark-   Sharks! Includes Flashpoint-esque Thomas being a murder grandpa and past AlfredxMarthaxThomas, along with Bruce being less murderous

Kraken-   Squids. Think giant merfolk but well, giant squids. Fantasy-esque AU with Gotham being the largest population of pirates & crime on the seas.

Sea Dragon- Sea serpents mixed with seahorses and a bit more. Includes the kids being bio-kids via blood ritual and a couple galas. Also some shapeshifting.

Lights from the houses sitting curved around the cul-de-sac were dim from your distance. Balloons tied to mailboxes were set free in the sky above or in hands of neighboring small children, their parents taking a vist standing around and chatting, sitting in lawn chairs, lined up to get food from tables lining the street holding casserole dishes and crock pots.

The annual community block party lasted all afternoon, but you knew the clock was ticking down for something more eventful. Coolers brimmed with sodas, water bottles, and beers. You quickly made off with drink pouches meant for the kids towards your meeting spot. Flurries of air ghosted your exposed skin, your board under your armpit. Tumbled rocks along the shoreline as the boardwalk was lined with food and drink vendors. A white lifeguard tower with its flag flying, familiar flip-flops abandoned in the sand.

"Any longer, and you would've missed all the s'mores." Mina smiled up at you. Sero, Denki, and Bakugou toasting their second bag of marshmallows. There's a soft crash of the logs, crackles, and pops from the fire gnawed at them, consuming it like a disease until only a sickly pile of ash remaining. They rub together as Bakugou rearranged them.

Widely expansive oceans lapped the shore, lights from the boardwalk scattering across its surface.

"I'm here now, ain't I?" Driftwood as their seating as you opted to sit on the extra towel you had brought along. Their crooked row of surfboards stuck into the wet sand strewn with seashells and seaweed.

"I brought what I could." You hand each of them a dripping drink pouches cracking open a jarred Strawberry Peach Moonshine for yourself before grabbing a knobby stick in your hands as you roast your marshmallow in the flames.

"No fair, you always bring booze for yourself." Denki sighs in exaggeration.

Placing your palm over your heart, you lay back between Mina's legs. You open a black plastic bag, more mason jars of different flavors inside. "You doubtin' me Blondie? The kids' pouches were for later."

He pouted then frantically blows at his burning marshmallow at the end of his stick as Sero nudged his side.

Windansea Beach, La Jolla, where briny air and water met your board under your feet. Purity of ultramarine and stars mimicking glow flies share the openness with the moon.

Your feet sink deeper into the moist sand as salt nips at my skin, it's cool refreshing feel brings clarity to your heart, cleansing your soul almost. Night surfing has always been your go-to safe space long since before you met your teammates. God knows how many times you've crawled from your beachfront cottage window to seek Poseidon's comfort.

The Petrichor smell calls you forth. Depite your drink on your breath. You insisted you should paddle out. Pushing yourself into a standing position, the all too familiar soaring sensation washes over you.

Sero is not far behind. Steadying your position, the wave was strong enough to propel you forward. Gliding effortlessly, a shadow within the wave startles you as it follows. An occasional rough wave would spike, but nothing high enough. If asked, your choice of paddling aimlessly wasn't the brightest idea.

What sounds like Mina yelling your name as a huge wave rolls in. It's seafoam ripples curl over themselves as they swell faster.

A figment you swore you'd only heard in legends made you hit the water. Teeth like daggers swore to kill directly, took your board.

You're dunked under. Lungs quickly fill with water. You attempt grabbing for your board, but the murky depths condescend around you.

What little you could make out were two figures lashing out at one another. The smaller one putting up a good fight. You scream only for bubbles to escape. Your last-ditch effort. But you got what you wanted. Silence.

Letting what's left of your cognitive thoughts flourish, you see it. Blurry cyan and milky white moonlight stab the waters surface. It stares at you with desire, its pupils that of a cat.

Hovering above you was red. Red something. Something you couldn't make out. Red faded to black once your eyes shut.

For those wondering, yes. I now have a JJBA OC named Jay Kujo, who is the brother of Jotaro Kujo. In this AU, he is named Jay Kujo-Shark, and is a Great White Shark, like Jotaro.

Oh, and Holly, like she said is a Whale Shark Mermaid, like Jonathan. Speaking of Holly, Jotaro! Is she gonna okay?

Remember you mentioned that researcher mate follows her? Well I wonder how kraken!Hamel able to follow her since she travel in land or she secretly follows her in water? Or smth

Kraken! Hamel is able to move around on land using her tentacles as powerful legs. However, if you’re more so curious as to how aquatic-type monsters without legs travel on land in general… (mermaids, mersharks, etc.)

In the Monster AU, magic exists so there are spells that can give monsters human-like legs and vice versa. These spells are quite rare to find however, so there’s also the possibility of them using mobility devices to get around 😌

Idk if anyone here has read Witch Hat Atelier, but I imagine that there could be enchanted chairs that help those who can’t walk move around on land (think like a chair that could use its legs to walk around using magic). Mermaid! Lamia would be able to join the party with either a spell that gives her human legs, or an enchanted mobility device casted by Witch! Chief :)

Yandere Chelsea Van Der Zee

Contents: Alternative Universe, Reader, Gender neutral, cringe, dark content, yandere motives.

Fact: Chelsea's canon surname is literally dutch and if translated! It says "From The Sea!"

AU: Bloody Lagoon is a au where: Chelsea never left the sea.

Meeting Chelsea was the worst! Seriously no jokes!

You were less shocked and more pissed off as she would scare off any of the fish you tried to net.

Everyday and everytime she would go out of her day to piss you off.

She would make harsh insults towards you and sometimes hit your insecurities.

Having enough you decided to throw anything that would hit her.

BONK! Hazaah! A direct hit to her- oh god her nose is bleeding.

She held her broken nose and held a look of sadness as if you were the culprit!

And here comes the most saddest cry in your life, okay now you felt like an asshole.

"Please stop crying!" "NO! You broke my nose, you jerk!" She stopped crying momentarily to say this and returned back to her crying.

Grabbing first aid, you tended to her broken nose. She would make half-ass attempts at threats like: I'll bite your fingers, I'll drown you and I'll make you disappear.

Oh and she's surprisingly fluent in Dutch.

Suffice to say? It was nice having someone to talk to besides listening to the radio on your boat.

Although Chelsea wanted to take selfies with your phone and didn't want to talk.

Until you spoke of your crush....Connor.

The mermaid's attention was now on you. Quickly scooting herself next to you, she quickly devised a plan.

Why don't you be the cool popular girl.

So Chelsea taught you the ways of how to gain popularity and be way past cool.

Overall Chelsea liked helping her human achieve her goals.

Her.......Human.....Hmm.

Maybe she should be a little selfish, nothing wrong with that. . . . .right?

Chelsea's behaviour has been weird lately.

Like she would oftentimes sit very close to you. Like having shoulders touch.

She would stop her insults and would start flirting with you.

She started to sing songs that are related to love or something and hoping to get the pal they like.

When you decided to sleep in your fishing boat for the night, you could've sworn you saw Chelsea watching you sleep.

She would get annoyed whenever you mention your friends and your crush connor.

Actually whenever you mention connor, her nails would dig into the boat

You both got into a fight from one too many of Chelsea's flirting.

"What's your deal!? I'm practicing my flirting?" She defended but you retaliated, "With someone who has a crush on someone, it's messed up! Y'know what, just go!"

You didn't see Chelsea's look of sadness that suddenly turned into anger.

You waited for her to move, but she didn't even move in the slightest.

"I think I just had enough with you, mi amor." She said in spanish....She's bilingual?

And without a second to lose, she lunges towards you and everything went dark.

Your head was throbbing and everything felt sorta cold. Groggily getting up, your vision was blurry and you quickly licked your chapped lips and sharp teeth. Quickly getting up from your laying position, you reach towards your mouth and felt sharp teeth occupying your mouth, looking down at your body, you noticed your entire skin and appearance looked roughly similar to a tiger shark.

"Mijn liefje? What are you doing up?" Chelsea said, she yawns and rubs her eyes. You looked at the mermaid and gave her look that wanted answers to your predicament. Smiling innocently she swims towards a weird stone closet and opens it to reveal clothing tops. "It's simple, it was my magic." She stated as she pulls out a red crop top with two golden cuffs. "I used a spell and turn you into a gorgeous mershark similarly to a tiger shark." Chelsea added as she examines them closer, she nods and tosses them into your arms. "Now put these on, I wanna see you in red!" She says while clapping her hands together as you looked at her with a look of betrayal.

"You turned me into a freak!?" You shouted and dropped the clothes down but they slowly floated due to being underwater. Chelsea's expression turned one of happy into one of annoyances. Putting one hand on her hips and raising the other, she snaps her fingers and spoke in a haunting echoing voice. "Gehoorzamen!" She ordered in dutch as you felt your entire body follow her commands.

With another snap of her fingers, you regained control over your body. "Wh-What did you!?" You asked in fear as Chelsea looms over you. "What did I do? Isn't it obvious, I used my magic!" She said it as if you were an idiot.

"Now here's the quick recap, I started to gain feelings for you which is gross, what kind of weirdo of a mermaid falls for a weak human? Now since you're like me, we can chill and talk as much as we want! Like besties but lovers!" She said joyfully as you continued to stare at her.

You attempted to flee, but only for your tailfin to be grabbed and your entire body to be swung and slammed into the wall. Chelsea's hand held your throat and her sapphire blue eyes now had a murderous look in them. She leans into your ear, her breathing heavy and spoke with an annoyed tone.

"It seems you haven't gotten the memo, Liefde? I own you, that means you obey every word I say." She stops for a moment for a quick deep breath and it looks like she was about to lose her temper with each sentence she spoke. "And if you don't, I'll get mad, very mad. And when I get mad, I get hungry and when I get hungry. I crave for something-." She stops and whispers teasingly in your ear. "Bloederig~" and not knowing dutch, you can easily tell she was talking something about blood of possibly human's.

"So liefde? What do you suggest we do?" She asks as she rubs a thumb on your chin, enjoying the sandpaper like skin. You looked at her in the eyes and muttered quietly and asks what you said.

"What was that? I couldn't quite catch that." She hums as she leans in closely and you sadly repeat what you said. "Let's go and do something fun...babe." you felt disgusted calling this....monster that name.

"That's a good shark~" She coos and begins to lead you towards a different location.
