I'd love If Oscar didn't run into a villain but a new character within Oz's inner circle, one of his older friends like Leonardo, someone who is genuinely good and kind and hasn't stopped fighting despite the odds. Someone both to help the poor boy understand the resurrection and to offer a MUCH NEEDED different perspective to QRWBY + JNR. Maria could tell them why it isn't hopeless I guess, but it'd be awesome see someone from within delivering a "Reason you suck" speech to them.

I’d love it if he ran into an old friend! Sadly I’m not hopeful (the attack/kidnapping theory seems pretty likely, especially with Cinder and Neo closing in), but in general? Yeah, the whole team needs another perspective laid out for them. Ruby has hinted at it, but everyone was too consumed by the Apathy to listen. Maria has been blunt - your generation needs to do better, you can’t give up the fight - but she’s still a comparative stranger and the people who most need to hear that message either actively dislike her (Qrow, Yang) or met her a few hours ago (Jaune, Nora, Ren). 

It’s a sticky situation because the gang really needs someone they trust, someone they’ll listen to...but those people don’t know about Salem. It’s a bad venn diagram where “People Who Have All The Information” and “People Who Could Inspire The Gang” don’t have much overlap lol. We could get an inner circle member of Ozpin’s who’s still fighting... but would anyone listen to them? We could get an old mentor like Oobleck... but would his words still have meaning to them without all the context? 

I still think Ironwood would be a good middle ground. Granted, he can’t randomly show up because that would entirely defeat the purpose of the “how do we get to Atlas?” plot line, but later? He’d be a decent fit. Presumably he doesn’t know about Salem’s immortality, but he did stick by Ozpin even when they had MASSIVE disagreements. It might be cool to have the gang meeting someone who wasn’t/isn’t an Ozpin stan (aka Qrow), thinking that they’ll get it, you hate this guy too right? And instead Ironwood turns around with, “Disagreeing about methods doesn’t mean we disagree about the fight itself. Of course you keep going. Come up with a new plan. Move forward. You signed up for this.” 

This guy respects Glynda and listened when she told him to start showing loyalty instead of just talking about it. He announced that Weiss, in her angry passion, was the only one making sense around here. Ironwood’s a fighter. He’s also, first and foremost, a general who sees kids as soon to be soldiers (even as he cares for them). At the very least he’d expect people to keep fighting because you’re the soldiers and this is the war.

So yeah. Really hoping that if the gang hasn’t formed Team Hope by the time they get to Atlas that he’ll knock some sense into them when they arrive.

pretty much, honestly. when i read, i’m really great at blocking out any other outside stimuli 

20. can you read in other languages?

i really wish i could. some small phrases in french, but i definitely couldn’t read a whole novel

22. what is an essential element of a good book?

it needs to build. some books, there’s so much going on throughout the whole thing that i’m almost overwhelmed by it. i want my book to seduce me. i want it to whisper in my ear, to lure me forward. the best books feel like a hallway that’s growing small as you walk down it, narrowing to a point of intensity where you’re quivering with the anticipation

Well its been a year or a while since I was super duper active here in Tumblr. My fangirl life suddenly went downhill when I entered college. I had set some priorities, ultimately leaving behind this precious blog and the fabulous people I have met online. But then by some magical force, I found myself doing it again, and I tell you, its good to be back. :)

With that, I'd like to dedicate this to the people who never failed in blessing my dash with such amazing content (even those random text post I tell you it gives me life) and to the new wonderful peoples I've followed this year! Thank you really for keeping me sane! 💕
