Mermay Week Day 1: Tirapai Island

My Honey Lemon mermaid design was created by using this mermaid doll dress up game

And then using a screen grab of Tirapai Island for the background as that's today's theme. So if anyone and everyone wants to participate in mermaid week, but is feeling a little short on time. I recommend checking out a dress up game like the one above or similar.

Happy Mermay! I know May isn't nearly over, but I'm still glad I was able to get this drawing done. I started sketching it at an open studio I sat in on, and was able to ink it before we adjourned. I hadn't initially planned for this lovely lady to be clown-themed -- otherwise I would've made her an actual clownfish mermaid -- but the little ball-shaped accouterments at the end of the crescent-shaped fragments of her fins reminded me of a jester's hat, and then the whole design came together at the last minute.

I like her a lot. We named her Carnavale :3

I do see myself coloring this lineart in at some point, but I also wanted to post it here untouched in case it inspires anyone! If you do end up posting your colored-in piece, please feel free to tag me, I'd love to see what you come up with! 💟🧜‍♀️💟

I've Did it! I was able to make something for a mermay with Benny. Yes he is a dragon, but he is a dragon that based on a Sea creature.

And I've also did a pride version because i've finished it just in the time for pride month and Benny is Queer as FUUUCK!

Hello everyone! It's May and y'all know it's that time of year to draw fish people. So, that means you have a week of prompts to have fun with. With that, may the Mermay Of Rocks and Robots week be fun!

Here are the days you'll be working with the 13th to 19th.

This is for a prompt where I was to combine Coralline algae + moss to make a merfolk of some sort. The idea is that the algae grows off of his body like live rocks. The moss I chose for his hair is called fire or flame moss. I thought it flowed nicely in the water. (Initially, I believe this was meant to be released in May for mermaid May, and I had two other merfolk drawings planned for mermaid May, however, that did not happen because I have way too many projects going on. I will post those drawings at a later date.)
