Hello, Wizards.
I need you to do it again to a different dictator.
Good evening, young wizards! I have a new favor to ask of you. There's a corrupt warlord by the name of Julius The Seizer running rampant in Aquila.
Go take care of him.
Best of luck, wizards!

I swear I'm not trying to villainize Ambrose or woobify Malorn but I really like the idea that Ambrose is secretly suspicious and bias against Malorn because of what happened with Malistaire
Like I have a headcanon that Ambrose sends the Young Wizard to 'keep an eye' on Malorn because sending adults like Diego or another professor would be too obvious. Ambrose thinks it's perfect to have a student of Ravenwood and a child to hang around Malorn, because who would suspect a student at school? Maybe Ambrose says it's for 'extra Death magic lessons' or something
Also the perfect chance for Malorn and the Wizard to bond. Both realize that they're both just kids with unrealistic expectations put on them by all the adults in their life (it differs of course, with Malorn being treated with suspicion and the Wizard being treated with awe and reverence) and just kind of support each other when it gets to be too much.
None of this is in canon btw this is strictly just having fun with headcanon of course but I think it really works well because:
1. Ambrose is an irresponsible adult. He means well, but the game shows that he takes extreme and rash actions against any threat and does whatever it takes to get rid of the problem, not necessarily solve the problem. This headcanon highlights that trait of his personality perfectly
2. Gives more insight to Malorn's life and experiences, also adds more to his character other than the Death Professor at Ravenwood. It gives Malorn an actual struggle and arc in the series and gives an inside perspective of how tough it should actually be in his situation (betrayed by his professor, forced into a higher position, etc.)
3. Actual interactions between Malorn and the Wizard!!! A positive relationship with any NPC, especially one from Wizard City and actually their age, other than the adults that we meet in each world would be absolutely fantastic and I'm a sucker for "two or more characters against the world" trope
4. Also highlights the Wizard's struggles as being "The Chosen One." Like we're actually just God at this point and beyond seeing a planet and its people die out in a violent death, an actual war where disease and violence is rampant, a large cult intent on yours and the universe's destruction, and actual murder attempts by Every Bad Guy Ever, imagine the pressure put onto them by the Good Guys. Ambrose and Diego and the Council of Light and Grandmother Raven and Bartleby (who are basically the equivalent of God) all just saying "You are the only one who can save us" 80 times a week, like who is our support system. Where the fuck is our therapy. Malorn would be the perfect candidate because I think out of everyone (other than Mellori and the Bat) Malorn would understand the best
Sorry girls no I won't be quiet about Malorn ever. Or Ambrose because it's such wasted potential and imo a lot better than canon's "Gretta Darkkettle was secretly evil this entire time" with no prior foreshadowing

more random Wizzy headcanons 🪄
Malistaire and Sylvia were both bisexual
Arthur Wethersfield has depression. He tries really hard to hide his episodes from his students and coworkers but doesn’t always do a good job. When he’s really struggling, Moolinda Wu steps in to support him and help him out; the two of them are close in general.
Grandfather Spider is really good at textile weaving (b. because. he’s a spider-)
Fire and Ice wizards are typically chill with each other. Life and Death wizards are very close-knit. With Myth and Storm wizards, it’s on sight
Wizard City is governed by a City Council, of which Merle Ambrose is the head. They’re in charge of the city’s budget and community resources. They’re also responsible for hosting community events, posting community bulletins, and decorating the city around the holidays
The Life classroom is home to Ravenwood’s infirmary
In general, most of the worlds we visit are a lot bigger in-universe than what we see in-game.
Classes at Ravenwood are divided by skill level rather than age. A typical graduating class will have students who are mostly around the same age with a handful of outliers in the form of young prodigies and older late bloomers
After the events of Arc 2, Ravenwood begins incorporating Astral magic into its curriculum for more advanced students
Between Spider and Raven, Spider was the one who fell in love first
Spider loves children because they’re little balls of chaos incarnate and he often finds them easier to relate to than grown-ups
Sylvia Drake was short, fat, and muscular. She could easily pick up Malistaire’s significantly taller but significantly bonier ass and throw him over her shoulders in a fireman’s carry
The Black Hole was essentially the magical equivalent of a sensory deprivation tank (listen, Peepaw had a damn good reason to be pissed when he finally got out of there-)
Necromancers tend to develop morbid senses of humor as they advance in their studies
Life wizards also tend to enjoy dark humor. This comes as a surprise only to those who foolishly believe in the stereotype of the pure, innocent cinnamon roll Theurgist, when in reality all Life wizards are at least a little bit unhinged and some are outright feral
Magically induced injuries and illnesses can be healed with magic, but naturally induced ones cannot
Lydia Greyrose is a lesbian and was The Dyke™️ in her youth. Nowadays she's a sweet elder lesbian who bakes cookies and knits elaborate scarves for the younger generations of Wizard City rainbows
Speaking of Greyrose, she gives the hardest tests EVER. Exams roll around and Thaumaturgy majors just spend a solid two to three months crying nonstop /hj
Morganthe is a disaster lesbian. She sees one (1) pretty girl and immediately becomes too gay to function
Morganthe is also fantastically autistic. Her most beloved, most enduring special interest is magic; she often stims by twirling her hair around her finger; she misses obvious social cues and tends to interrupt others when they're speaking because she's so excited to share her ideas that she doesn't realize she's being rude; her difficulty in learning Astral magic was due to sensory overload, with the Astral magics having an "icky" feeling that made it extremely difficult for her to handle without having a meltdown
Arthur Wethersfield and Harold Argleston like to get together over tea and scones and bitch about the state of the Marleybonian monarchy (to wit: Queen Vicorgia is a fucking colonizer and Arthur & Harold do not approve)
In-universe, the original Council of Light consisted of Headmaster Ambrose, Queen Elissa, and no one else the player is familiar with. Diego, Professor Greyrose, and Emperor Yoshihito are members of its modern-day incarnation
Beans is dating Pork who is dating Khan. Pork has two hands
The creatures summoned by wizards' spells are not actual, living, sentient creatures; they are non-sentient constructs that ape the conventional forms of magical creatures
Innately magical people/creatures don't rely on Summon Magic the way learned wizards do; their magic manifests much more spontaneously and is typically a lot more versatile

ok more test stuff & rambling below
i know this has literally been said in the beginning of the game but this is insane to me
BECAUSE WASNT IT SAID THAT A SPELL BROUGHT US HERE? and now its recontextualized as bartleby telling merle ambrose to bring us into the spiral... and the "reach out and grab you" part is especially interesting....
to me it kind of implies the insane level of both magic and the strength of bartleby.. the ability to reach out to places beyond the spiral, where magic is not a thing, and bring something back into the spiral... well. its really the type of thing that only beings like bartleby can do
i wonder though if raven was aware of this... if she was only vaguely aware of the wizard's existence in the spiral and was neutral about us until arc 3... or she was distrusting of us immediately and was waiting for us to mess up LOL
it makes it feel like the wizard is being regarded as some sort of invasive species...
also the nerve of him to be like "i wont let you contaminate the spiral any longer" LIKE SHE DOESNT EVEN GO HEREEEEEEE
that being said. i kinda like what this does for merle's character bc it still kind of implies that he's a student in a way... like yes him and bartleby are friends. in a sense. but even as powerful as we think merle he was really only able to bring us into the spiral, to "summon a hero", through bartleby's means (magic). like even your teacher had a teacher...
and speaking of magic...
i think this might be the first time magic in and of itself, is described. iirc its been pretty vague (correct me if im wrong) but its "versatile and highly malleable"... which sort of suggests to me that magic has the potential to be insanely powerful (as seen by the wizard)
but it may be that those outside the spiral are more sensitive to magic in general? i know i made a magic post a while back, but this is making me want to go back and rework it a little bit in light of this...
WHICH IS KIND OF COOL...
#val.txt#wizard101#wizard101 test realm spoilers#wizard101 spoilers#that being said WHERES BATTTTTT WHERE IS HE I MISS HIM.#i assume they couldnt get his va and they did NAWT want to fuck this up#or that we already had mellori and having him would be overkill#pork is there too... which i loved . missed u sir#AND DYVIM!!! OH MY GAAAAAAH DYVIM#the way hes the only one to say 'spellbinder!!' and acknowledge our presence and the way we check up on him before doing anything else<33#thank you ki... for this...#also i havent been posting that much lately bc ive been.. working... lol#ill try to sift through some asks...

Good evening young wizards! While you were sorting out the disputes in Novus, I've heard tell that Valencia may be in need of a bit of assistance. After you made enemies with Mario di Mario, a notorious troublemaker under the name Wario di Wario started frequently appearing and making off with the wealth of some of Valencia's most notable figures.
He mentions you by name and thanks you for "thrashing the Mario brothers", so I believe you should sort this out and stop this menace in his tracks before he makes an even bigger mess of things, and seek to right your reputation.
Be careful out there, Wizards. I heard he doesn't work alone. The dreaded Waluigi di Wario may not be much of a fighter, but he is cunning.

Time For My Random Post That Is Not MCF Related.
On top of being a big MCF Nerd, I am also a big Wizard101 Nerd. At one point in time, I found out Wizard101 had merch for sale. It was limited edition, limited time, must have stuff. One of the things they had for sale was something I got my Mitts on as fast as I could. A vinyl figure of Headmaster Merle Ambrose!
Behold!
Take a peek at these! There were only 1,816 made in total and mine is number 11. He is so cute & I love him! It took 5 months to get him and he cost $30 but it was totally worth it! I'm so happy!

Eurydice ShadowSong oc introduction
I forgot to make an introduction for my wizard Eurydice lol
I made 3 different character pages before coming to one I liked lol (even though Golem Minion is Myth only, and it's the favorite spell of a Fire wizard??? Eh whatever) Now here is a long lore piece. It's technically capable of being two separate posts, but I preferred them being together because I am lazy (and personally found the third person one to be boring by itself) Can't wait to wake up tomorrow and notice something about the story I want changed, even though I triple checked it to make sure I liked it lol ______________________________________________________________
Deep within the crystalline halls of Nidavellier, under chilly Grizzleheim, roamed Rune-Master Konur the Young. Before he bested Hragar in a battle of wisdom and took his name, he spent hours carving runes into one of the many halls of the labyrinthe Winterdeep Warren. The runes dictate the instructions to install life into things that seldom have it. However, it is unlike Myth's imaginary input, or Storm's creative mechanations. Yet, with the nasty and powerful Grendel Jotun taking command of the Hall of Valor, and his brothers Ullik and Grettir moving into its adjacent Helgrind and Winterdeep Warrens, Konur's runic message (and how the spell worked) was left unread for centuries to come.
One day, an old wizard, wise beyond his years, by the name Merle Ambrose, visited Grizzleheim. He came to Grizzleheim in an effort to understand the lore of runes. Even though Konur was long gone, the knowledge of runes remained well-used in Grizzleheim, as the Bears, Wolves, and Ravens use them consistently. One of many Mystic Ravens, Kol ShadowSong, offered to teach Merle. With soft words and days of patience, the lore of the Runes was passed along.
With plenty of warnings prior, Merle ventured into the Winterdeep Warren in search of Konur's runes. Having made him temporary invisible to avoid the grendels, he found the the runic message about installing life, still eligible on the crystal walls, and studied it. Though his time was cut short as he did not want to alert the grendels. Long ago the first mother of Grendels had asked all things to swear an oath to not hurt her children, and all but the Spider Queen refused. Now, the only thing that can harm a Grendel is a spider. Merle fled from Nidavellier back to the surface, to continue his lore-research, and even begin speaking of trade with the bears of Grizzleheim. After his trip to Grizzleheim, he returned to Wizard City. He enchanted one of the many Wood Golems in Golem Court with these runes, and the runes gave it life-like features. Merle named him Patrick, and that was how he lived for many years. ______________________________________________________________
. . . I've been resting and studying in Wizard City. It's really cold outside there recently. I wonder if my nose will freeze off like Kelvin's, but I am currently residing in Krokotopia to talk to Niles. The temperature here is scorching and I think I may burn. I hear it is hotter in some places of Mirage, I pray to Lady Nightstar I do not go there soon. Perhaps being a fire wizard will protect me from being set on fire, or the runes on my body will prevent me from being set on fire. Headmaster Ambrose has notified me of my origins as a Wood Golem, which I wonder about a lot. Is the runic transformation the reason for my weird eyes? And why am I so sensitive to noises and things that touch my 'skin' if I am a robot (as the Marleyboneans call me)? I do not look like a golem, but I am not exactly human either, I wonder if I am the only one of my kind around. On a slightly different topic, I've yet to adjust to my new body fully, even though the Magic Mirror made the feminization of my body as seamless as could be. I've taken the name Eurydice, from the Greek Story, as well. Niles is very supportive. That makes me happy.
I have done a horrible job trying to segway out of my rambling thoughts back to the topic I wanted to write about. I was wondering how much one's school truly matters. Is it predetermined, or something people can choose by their own will? Are more childish and deceiving students likely to be Fire or Myth, while the mature and patient are Ice? I hear many negative things about Death wizards, but they don't seem all that bad to me. Even Mortis the Death tree is quiet nice and not as annoyingly vague as I would expect. Fire wizards are noted to be quick to anger and easily passionate, but I wonder if they are childish and deceiving as well. With spells like Fire Cat and the playful Fire Elves, and the trickster Helephant and Efreets. Does Myth (which comes from Fire and Ice) take from the deceptive nature of Fire? Much like it may take from the patient nature of Ice? Or do Fire wizards have no such nature, as they are an elemental school? I've been talking with Niles about this for a while now, but I have yet to reach a definite conclusion. It seems one's chosen school is very complex.
I wonder if me being a Pyromancer means anything about my personality, or if I just like it because it had my favorite color and theme. The Book of Secrets assigned it to me, but were those questions really enough to know for sure? 11/12/2023 -Eurydice ShadowSong
(I rewrote the backstory like 3 times before finally doing it in a way I actually liked. Btw Konur is actually a character in Wizard101 lore, but he gets mentioned in one of the Grizzleheim lore books and literally nowhere else from what I've seen. And despite her being a golem, I Hocused Pocused her at the Magic Mirror so she is literally trans lol. I just have attempted to write that as something that is well accepted and not out of place in the Spiral.)
(And Fun fact: Her red/blue clothing is not because of her name lol. I chose the colors when I first made her since I thought they are my favorites [and men couldn't wear pink]. It was just a hella coincidence that a boss I have personal history with in my favorite world just so happened to have my color scheme and a last name I could also choose to have.)
Here's another image I don't have the Blue Moon staff I am working on making a green colored pet (preferably a Crop Watcher) to help make the Hunter's Moon Staff fit in I'm rgb now
#wizard101#w101#wizzy101#I really got so curious about Wiz lore#I made my own Wiz lore#To complain about Wiz lore not making sense#Her character book refers to her as a robot/android in her race#but I changed it during the lore so that she is more of a runic-enchanced golem instead#so oops#but I don't wanna rewrite that book to fix it cuz Im tired so eh
