Alice Neel photographiée par Lynn Gilbert, New York, 1976.

𓇢𓆸   (  peter gadiot ◦ homem cis ◦ ele/dele  )

Another case of the skibidi Ohios on our hands
Pizza Hut has quietly shuttered a round of locations in central Ohio.
The pizzeria chain’s eateries at 5837 Sawmill Road in Dublin, at 4514 Kenny Road near Upper Arlington, at 3643 S. High St. near Obetz and at 1076 Parsons Ave. near Merion Village have closed. All four have been removed from Pizza Hut’s site, and their voicemails repeat similar pre-recorded messages when called, saying the eatery has shuttered. The call is then forwarded to a nearby location that remains open.

3 Signs It’s Time to Order Catered Chili
No matter what industry you work in, it’s always crucial to use the right tool for the job. Perhaps surprisingly, the right tool is often a bowl of hearty, delicious chili.
Tumblr media
Of course, your office’s revenue-tracking tools are indispensable, and you couldn’t do without the IT solutions that allow your teams to communicate while keeping your organization’s mission-critical data secure. But you’d be hard-pressed to argue that there’s anything truly capable of delivering the wide-ranging, holistic benefits you’ll enjoy when you devour a bowl of the best local chili. How can you tell that chili is just what your office team needs? Here are three signs that it’s time to place an order with your corporate catering with chili as the star of the show. Your Team Just Scored a Big Win Whether your team just landed that huge new client or you put up the best Q4 metrics to date, some achievements are worth celebrating. What better way to celebrate than ordering catered chili so all your team members can share in the success? One of the best things about chili is that there’s a wide variety of options to satisfy a range of palates. From the classic chili con carne to white chicken chili, vegetarian chili, and even Cincinnati chili, there’s a type of chili to suit virtually any taste. Mother Nature Isn’t Cooperating Nobody likes getting up and going to work when it’s cold and wet outside. The commute takes longer and, especially when temperatures are frigid, people are thrilled when they finally make it to the office because it means they can warm back up. Chilly, damp days call for warm comfort food, and nothing does the trick quite like a satisfying bowl of chili. With the right catering partner, you can have your team’s local favorites delivered. For example, if you’re looking for the best chili catering Indianapolis has to offer, you could order from Greiner’s Sub Shop, Soupremacy, or Walk On’s Bistreaux & Bar, to name a few. You Just Added New Team Members A growing team is a sign of a successful business. Sure, new team members are essential for augmenting your company’s service offerings, enhancing customer support, and strategizing for the future. But onboarding outstanding people is also a key means of elevating your company culture. When you want to make newcomers feel right at home and show them that they’re joining a team that looks out for one another, ordering catered meals during their first week is an excellent choice. If your office is located in Franklinton, Bexley, or Merion Village, you can get the best local chili when you order the top catering Columbus Ohio has to offer. Try Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, True Food Kitchen, Potbelly Sandwich Shop, and more. About ezCater With ezCater, you’re just a few clicks away from ordering an amazing lunch. ezCater was initially developed to connect medical sales reps with quality catering as they traveled the nation holding sales meetings. Today, businesses in every state rely on ezCater to connect them with exceptional local restaurants and caterers. You can order high-rated Cincinnati catering for team lunches or the best catering Dallas offers for your upcoming corporate retreat. From coast to coast, city to city, order food that works in minutes. You can also customize your catering search to find specific cuisines or to meet the dietary needs of team members. With ezCater, corporate catering has never been easier. Have your team’s local favorites delivered to your office with ezCater at https://www.ezcater.com/ Original Source: https://bit.ly/3UAeM3u

okay so, this might flop massively, but that’s okay! yesterday i was playing around with artbreeder and i managed to create my lotr oc Erin pretty amazingly,,,, so i went ahead and spent HOURS creating her whole family whilst i was at it!! i don’t think i’ve spoken a lot about my lotr au on here before, but it’s my biggest project next to my witcher au and it’s also the most extensive. if oc’s and in depth lore, worldbuilding/editing and rambling isn’t your thing,,, feel free to stop reading now. but if you’re interested and would like to know a little more about my characters, please do read on!! it would mean a lot if you took some time to have a read 🥰
the characters i’ve created on artbreeder and edited further in picsart from top to bottom are as follows:
Golweneth, a Noldor elf who was born in Gondolin in 261 F.A. and died in Melamar Ilyava in 1002 T.A.
Merion, a skin-changer who was born in the Ettenmoors in 1152 S.A. and died in Melamar Ilyava in 1002 T.A.
Maeron, a half-elf/half-skin-changer who was born in Melamar Ilyava in 96 T.A. and died in Melamar Ilyava in 1002 T.A.
Aeras, a half-elf/half-skin-changer who was born in Melamar Ilyava in 96 T.A. and died in the Gladden Fields in 1016 T.A.
Alina, a half-elf who was born in Melamar Ilyava in 153 T.A. and died in the Gladden Fields in 1015 T.A.
Erin, a half-elf/half-skin-changer who was born in Melamar Ilyava in 242 T.A. (as of now I don’t have a death date for her yet)
Hánnor, a half-elf/half-skin-changer who was born in Melamar Ilyava in 258 T.A. and died in Melamar Ilyava in 1002 T.A.
Merú, a half-elf who was born in Melamar Ilyava in 302 T.A. and died in the Gladden Fields in 1008 T.A.
if you’re still here, thanks! some extra info as a reward:
Melamar Ilyava is a village I created specifically for this story, and it existed from 1968 S.A. until 1002 T.A., when it was destroyed in an unprecedented orc attack in which most of the villagers died. ‘Melamar Ilyava’ is Quenya for ‘Home of All’, as anyone who wished to stay there was welcome to and become a part of the community, no matter their race or background, as long as they contributed to the community. The village is situated near the Old Ford, East of the Misty Mountains and on the banks of the river Anduin. After the orc attack, and the subsequent years of grief and famine, Erin ends up being the lone survivor of her family and my AU revolves around her travels of Middle Earth, her interactions with people, and her role in pivotal events. She is not the main character, even though she will accompany both Thorin Oakenshield and his company to Erebor, and the Fellowship of the Ring on their quests, but instead an important supporting character who helps things along. THE REASON I HAVE ERIN TWICE IS BECAUSE THE FIRST PIC IS WHAT SHE LOOKED LIKE AT THE TIME OF HER VILLAGE’S DESTRUCTION AND THE SECOND PIC IS WHAT SHE LOOKS LIKE AFTER THE BATTLE FOR RHUDAUR AGAINST THE WITCH-KING OF ANGMAR.
that’s all i’m giving, for now at least. if you made it to the end, thank you so much, please let me know what you think! i love talking to people, especially about my passion projects. i’d even be happy to discuss other people’s oc’s involvements in this story if that interests you! lots of love from me xx

DJBC Tumblr Summer 21 - Merion Village & Southern Orchards Garden Tours 2020 (Throwback)
We were going to go to this year's Merion Village and Southern Orchards Garden Tours last Sunday. However, the downpour of rain last Sunday prevented that from happening. However, in place of this year's Tour, we are showing highlights from both of last year's Merion Village and Southern Orchards Garden Tours (which were held on separate weeks last year), which were two of the very few in-person events we attended last Summer, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Last year's Tours were done socially distant, and this year's Merion Village Tour, like last year's Tour was Hybrid, with Virtual stops on their Website.

23 May 2020
I am wearing a pair of strappy Manolo Blahnik pumps with shredded jeans and a crop top that barely covers much of anything. We are second in line at Grandview Cafe. I study the open patio: there is a chubby brunette in a light blue romper at the bar giving total sheer acceptance to whatever her date is telling her; there is a group of jocks, all wearing sports jerseys, a notable offense for a Saturday, but not entirely uncommon in Ohio, and what seems to be a group date. The blonde girl is wearing a short, black, flowy skirt with what looks like cheap d’Orsay pumps, probably from Macy’s,  and her less blonde friend has her hair pulled up into a rather severe bun with a terrible yellow dress. The two men at their table look boring.  The hostess tells us that there will be a twenty minute to one hour wait. I groan audibly. We put our names on the list and go grab a ten minute drink at Balboa, a shit spanish restaurant nearby, and then we head to the car.  We quickly find ourselves parked on a mostly residential street in Merion Village about fifteen minutes away. This area is filled with crappy restaurants that are overpriced because of their proximity to German Village, which is only marginally better; there’s a few retail shops with hand-crafted jewelry and used books. But mostly, this is a forgotten quadrant of Columbus. So it’s perfect. We pass a bowl back and forth to each other as we wait. Dr. B is somewhere around here.
My mind is so overwhelmed and I am still thinking about the newest revelations at work. I am terribly jealous of the people that get to be left alone in life. I imagine, as I get myself as elevated as possible, what my life could have been like if people hadn’t demanded so much from me. If I could have just shown up to my job, not been asked to relocate a thousand times or been asked to constantly move into different departments to “help” with different projects, or maybe just fucking once had a year of normalcy. And maybe I should care more about things like the coronavirus killing thousands or putting a stop to terrorism or how poorly the Israelis treat just about everyone or slowing down the nuclear arms race, but really, I just care about my own injustices. I’m selfish. I know. It’s just that I have no interest in doing any of this. I am so buried with anguish that I can’t even recognize myself anymore. I am on the verge of tears when
Dr. B pokes at the door. He is carrying a Family Dollar bag as he enters the car. He offers it to my companion, who analytically sorts through it piece by piece until he finds about five things he wants. As he does this, Dr. B is complaining about how the Mexican cartel in Milo-Grogan has been even more difficult and more demanding to work with lately. He compliments us for always being his most patient, carefree clients. Or friends. Or whatever we are. To toast, he sets up lines of dust and we snort them. Out of the radio, ASAP Rocky’s WE’RE GETTING WILD FOR THE NIGHT, FUCK BEING POLITE... plays.
Not too soon afterward, we get an automated text from the restaurant back in Grandview that our table is ready so we head back that way. And then we drink and drink and drink.

"Please, please spare me..." she cried, her tiny chin wobbling as her pathetic face crumples into tears. Now people reading this up, it is in fact quite un-neighbourly to steal your neighbours garden produce. In fact, it is extremely infuriating. Rude. Crudely put, it's a behaviour befitting assholes. Either mortals simply don't understand this, or I need to shift to a better neighbourhood. Oh right back to the crying lassie (almost forgot I had frozen her).
She starts off exactly where I had left her. "...it's just I was so hungry and you see I'm pregnant actually and my spouse has gone to the town market and oh you see I am just so..." "SILENCE!" I shout, stunning her into silence. "You have taken something that belonged to me, woman. Now either I can make minced meat pie out of you and feed it to my crows, or we can strike a bargain." I suggest, stroking my chin thoughtfully. "Yes oh please yes I will give you anything you want!" She replies in a single breath. Humans, they will always eat up the minced meat pie threat. Not that I can't do it, but it's just funny seeing them like this. "Fine then," I say, circling her, swishing my robes every now and then just like my mama taught me, "your child." She looks at me like I had actually popped her into the oven for the minced meat pie. "Two weeks from now, when the moon will be a mere sliver in the sky, I will approach you as a midwife. I will ensure the safety of both you and the child, and then as payment, I will take your firstborn. Agreed?" She nods her head solemnly, getting up and registering the shock of what a few stolen strawberries can do. She exits my garden hurriedly, and quite audibly slams her own gate.
'Oh how cruel Merion. Oh how very cruel. You wretched, heartless, witch.' I am sure you must all be thinking. Well let me reassure you then dear reader - I am doing a service. I am practically rescuing the child! For you see, through years of experience, I have learned that firstborns are usually cursed. They are cursed to be mistreated and underfed and be a substitute parent or free labour.
The first dozen had been taken purely out of spite, I would admit that. Each time, either one or both of the parents had done something to incur my wrath. Each time I had wrestled free a baby from their hands as their faces leaked, either grovelling at my feat or using language that would make my great aunt Agatha's hair seem clean. See the trouble with children is, they are quite deceptive. They worm their way into your hearts, ignite your parental instincts, make you battle your conscience. So what is the best that I, a witch in her prime, can do? Why raise other witches and warlocks.
My firstborn was a boy. Fairfax I called him, well mostly because I had no experience in christening so I just scattered a box of wooden letters on the floor and rolled with it. I brought him up, fed him, sheltered him, taught him the secrets of arcana, basically everything mortals count as parenting. I was there when he turned his first stone into a frog, brewed his first mould cleaning potion, and then flipped his first card to predict that the milk had soured. I never should have taught him divination really, for he is now a seer. I have never liked seers to be honest, but he is my boy, and so I give his business card to my friends.
One thing that I had observed with Fairfax's parents : they were horrible, wretched people. I am talking about people who took up the pitchforks and torches, those who spat on their neighbour's walls and other nasty stuff. Bakers by profession, they had made everybody's life in the village hell, by selling their produce at outrageous prices. Their other kids, oh they all turned out just the same. Three sons and a daughter, fed on the bitter tasting broth of hate and bad parenting. Fairfax would often ask me, "Mama, why don't you do something?" "Well son because harming human beings publically is lawlessness, and your mama does not want to go househunting." i would reply. That's not to say that I have heard humans go missing every now and then, and who knows who's up to it? It's me I am the one. Every so often my patience spills over and I just can't fathom letting those beady-eyed foul breathed rats live. My kids, now them I tried to teach bette.r like the hypocrite I am.
And that's just my firstborn. Imagine the 419 kids in my care. It's not like I didn't tell them about their origin, I did, believe me, but most of the times they couldn't care less. All of them, fruits of wretched, twisted, rotten trees, who fell away as far away as the wind could carry them. Well except a few. 11 kids did choose to go back to their biological parents. I always keep a close eye on them, and I have to say mortals do take the "not all" phrase quite close to heart.
I can go on and on about every single one of my kids. Rapunzel is a shapeshifter with ridiculously long hair (my bad. I should have known not to leave her alone in the bathroom with a hair potion.) Morgana is a duchess, Alex and Xela are known as the "Twin Wonders" and are mercenaries for hire. My christening capabilities become stronger with each child it seems hehe.
And now it's time to wait for the 420th kid and go through the gift that is parenthood once more.
I have really gotta think of some other way to rescue firstborns, because I physically cannot change another diaper.
You’re a witch with a penchant to bargain for firstborn children… to adopt and train as apprentices. You’ve done it hundreds of times now, and considering how wretched the biological parents tend to be you’re really doing the kids a favor.
