To Her Door by Paul Kelly is a deeply moving and hopeful song about a troubled marriage (possibly divorced couple) that is in the process of being saved by active effort and love, with an emphasis on the feelings and thoughts of the man who is trying to make things right, his nervousness and excitement to be part of his family again.
It's also perfect for inserting my blorbos into. Duality of man etc
#da:o#specifically i imagine it for atlanta and alistair in the ''alistair exiles himself'' AU#that was the first ending i got because i didnt know alistair leaves if you refuse to kill loghain#(i like taking diplomatic/merciful choices when possible and was completely blindsided when he just. Exits the game lol)#anyway i imagine him coming to his senses#that he really thinks about what Duncan would've wanted (instead of what he wanted: revenge for Duncan's + the wardens deaths)#and that he completely shirked his duty - the duty duncan gave him - because he waa denied his revenge#and while he was furious for understandable reasons (traumatised + grieving) he also recognises it as the tantrum it was#he realises he still loves them and the dread of thinking they could have died alone haunts him#and after he's brought back to ferelden by teagan he tries to make things right#wow. who said all that#skip talks#atlanta tabris#if you're hurting so am i

Official LSC DSMP AU Project List!
A few of these are just gonna have summaries as if they were books (mostly), since I hope to write them all some day or something similar!
Their respective tags will be in the tags section though I haven't spoken about a lot of these! Additionally if you have any questions at all feel free to send an ask or two my way, I genuinely do my best when I'm prompted to explain something so I'd be happy to answer whatever about whatever if people are curious!!
----
Also note, when I list 'Relationships' in this case it means what usually would be a ship - I'm weird about relationship labels and pretty much every close dynamic is freeform to me/doesn't fit the usual romantic vibes, so just, any pairing in the relationship label take it as me listing it as a ship or just saying "HEY THEY'RE GONNA KISS AND/OR FUCK AND/OR GO ON BOYFRIEND DATES"
I love shipping I'm just iffy with the labels of dating/ships cause it's more complex to me - I see it as like qpr/romantic usually but anyways that's enough of my own qpr influencing me.

Dragon Rider AU (DRAU)
-Will be getting an official title eventually
Main Focus Character(s): Dream & XD (Primary POVs)
Ensemble Cast (I think I have 90% of the SMP in here)
Relationship(s): Drunz, XDnf
A story separated into three large arcs, primarily following the young prince, Dream, who is presumptive heir to his kingdom's throne and his brother (XD) who reigns as King as they try to navigate their newfound positions in their kingdom and everything that comes with that.
---
Mer/Siren AU
-Will also be getting a name eventually (Been calling it Fathom but not set on it yet)
Main Focus Characters: Dream
Ensemble Cast Mostly
Relationship(s): Awesamdrunz
Dream finds himself in the care of humans after unfortunately getting a bit too close to shore - becoming victim to net entanglement and proceeding to get himself more injured trying to escape. During his time at this little rehabilitation facility he makes friends and learns more than he expected about the world about the waves.
This discovery spirals quickly into a whole new ordeal, as the facility members aren't the only ones on the island who've found a mermaid - and soon news coverage starts going on about some 'rogue animal' attacking fishermen on their boats offshore.
---
"What Keeps Us Human" TLOU AU
Main Focus Characters: Dream, Punz, Purpled & Tommy
Other characters work as cameos mostly, The Syndicate is important late game though!
Relationship(s): Drunz
The story follows the separate duos throughout their travels as they both make their way to a designated meet up spot - a place that initially was just for Purpled and Punz but both of them have picked up company, so now the duos face the threats of this post apocalyptic world alongside their own inner turmoil. In the end though, there is something better for them on the horizon.
---
"Prisoner"
-Very Very loosely based on/Inspired by Damsel
Main Focus Characters: Dream, Sam
Pre-Doomsday Cast mostly
Relationship(s): Awesamdream
After a rather notable series of unfortunate events Dream lands himself imprisoned. It's an unfavorable situation at best which only gets worse as his slight... "hobby" of being a necromancer is revealed to Quackity of all people. So now he finds himself in the depths of an elaborate cavern known as Pandora's Labyrinth, getting tortured on occasion and at the mercy of a dragon who he's only known as 'The Warden'...
Sam is this dragon (think DND style dragon, sapient/can shape-shift/magic n all that but with the vibes of the one from Damsel/Khaevis) and merely a legend, a fairy tale if you will to the vast majority of the land. Dragons died out with magic, that is what is said, and sure some of them may have perished but he certainly did not. Now he's tasked with keeping Dream within his own lair, fueled by the promise that he's doing something good for the kingdom who lives in the shadow of his mountains and the other part of this deal that Quackity struck with him, a promise of information...
Though like everything there is far more to this tale, as secrets wait to be unburied and the most unlikely of relationships will develop.

Other Projects - Mostly Ideas/Old Concepts/Things That Need Work or Are In Progress Just Not As Finalized As The Others
•Making at least ONE standalone AU for most of the Dream ships/and variants of said ships cause god I love poly dynamics (I'm also the multishipper guy ever and wish to give each ship enjoyer group a little treat also Dream deserves to kiss men and by men I mean all of them)
•The Good Ending - FUCK YOU DSMP HAPPY ENDING FOR EVERY FUCKIN CHARACTER, NO FAVORITISM, EVERYONE GETS TO BECOME BETTER!!!!
•Alien Isolation AU - Locking everyone on a space station with a Xenomorph, specifically THE Xenomorph from Alien/Big Chap, Dream is the final girl I take NO criticisms
•Subnautica AU!!!!!
•A Dozen or so Monster AUs For Various Characters - Nagas/Mermaids/Sirens/Werewolves/Werewhatevers/and so on, literally whatever I love monsters and the implications and you can't stop me.
•Origins SMP/Origins Mod Based AU but it's like casual fun
•Supernatural Town AU tm, a little town in a nondescript area in the Pacific Northwest host to all kinds of monsters, shenanigans ensue.
•Httyd AU, it's a must for me
•Various Hybrid AUs, more so just differing designs but like I'm putting them in the AU category cause usually the changes would mess with the plot a little
•Some sort of fantasy carnival/circus AU, Quackity runs the thing and basically did that thing of tricking people/making concerning sales pitches like with Las Nevadas but bigger scale. Also Awesamdrunz again and Dream's a fucked up rabbit creature (a wolpertinger)
•Rivals Duo but I force them into FNAF 2 and then the plot got elaborate - there's so much more to this than I planned, please send help
•Egg Apocalypse AU, based on RE:7 & Village
•The AU where I let George go powermad cause he decided to throw XD a bone and now has god as an attack dog (this one gets interesting)
------
More To Inevitably Be Added

For the AU asks, how about a role reversal AU for Jacob and Syb? One where Syb is the herald and Jacob is the deputy?
[SEND ME A PAIRNG + AN AU SETTING]
ahhhhh thank you kate!!!! fdsa;lf ok so. this got long, but considering anything under 5k is a "short" fic for me, it's fine. also writing evil syb is a lot of fun, so i just let it flow.
for context: in the role reversal au, i imagine that daddy la roux played a more significant role in syb and augustine's upbringing and as a result, syb ends up going to prison instead of going into the army. so when she becomes a herald (nicknamed the Warden) of augustine's cult, she takes over the Henbane with her base of operations being the Hope County Jail (which she calls "the kennels") where she trains loyal and obedient "dogs" to defend the cult.
word count: ~1.5k warnings: imprisonment and brief torture using an electric collar
Jacob was aware of the so-called Warden of the Henbane.
He’d read her file front-to-back until he had it memorized when Whitehorse made the call to bring in Burke to arrest her brother. Born in New Orleans and raised in a dysfunctional home with an alcoholic father and sick mother, “troubled” is perhaps the kindest word to describe her childhood and adolescence. Her rap sheet was already a mile long by the time she dropped out of high school at age sixteen — after her mother died — and no one was surprised when she started busting kneecaps professionally.
They were even less surprised when she killed her Daddy. If anything, those who knew her were more amazed that she hadn’t unloaded the entire clip into his torso. Just a single bullet, straight through the brain. His execution might have been merciful had she not shoved the barrel into his mouth first, breaking his teeth before pulling the trigger. “Daddy taught me there’s only one way to take care of a bad dog,” she’d stated on the record. “So, I put’im down.”
She hadn’t fought her case. Pled guilty, spent the next fifteen years at the Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women in St. Gabriel, and was eventually released on good behavior. By all accounts, she was a model inmate and repaid her debt to society.
Or, at least she had, until she broke parole and fled to Montana with her cult leader brother.
Everyone who’s come into contact with her makes her out to be some sort of monster. A boogeyman with sharp teeth and soulless eyes, stalking around on long, spindly legs with a cattle prod hanging off her belt. Unlike the other cult Heralds, people rarely speak of her outside of hushed whispers, as if fearful she may overhear. “She turns men into animals,” they say. “And then she trains them up like dogs.”
But Jacob assumes that, like most authoritarians, she’s less impressive in person.
Every bone and muscle in his body aches as he slowly comes to consciousness. The attempt to arrest her brother had gone poorly, to say the least. Joseph would probably consider him surviving the impact of the helicopter crash a miracle. Jacob isn’t so sure he’d agree.
Even behind closed eyelids, the soft blanket of darkness gives way to blinding white light, and he lets out a low groan. The high pitched buzz of fluorescent lights sound overhead and he curls in on himself, instinctively protecting the soft, vulnerable flesh of his abdomen. His breath comes out rough and ragged. The taste of copper rests heavy on the back of his tongue.
Back in Iraq, Miller had told him about how he’d spent three months as a POW before being rescued. The worst part wasn’t the torture, Miller had said. It was the isolation. With no way to measure time passing, all he had to hold on to the fraying threads of his sanity was focusing on his own breathing. “If I could breathe, then I was still alive. And if I was still alive, then I could hold on a little bit longer.”
So, Jacob takes a breath.
And then he takes another.
And another and another and another, focusing on the air — cold, dry, stagnant — filling his lungs until the pain melts away and the panicked thumping of his heart slows to match the steady rhythm of inhales and exhales.
In, two, three, four — the soft clicks of a lighter’s flint struggling to spark sounds over the buzzing lights.
Out, two, three, four — and the smell of cigarette smoke burns at his nose.
Jacob stirs, cracking his eyes open and wincing at the bright white light bouncing off gray concrete walls. He blearily searches for the source of the smoke, his vision still soft and fuzzy. A figure, tall and thin, stands on the other side of his cell, and as the world slowly comes into focus, he’s met with a face he’d only ever seen in a mugshot.
Sybille La Roux — The Warden herself — leans casually against the bars with a cigarette held loosely between two fingers.
She’s older than she appears in her photo, and significantly more covered in ink. Various tattoos crawl up the pale skin of her toned arms and shoulders, and one of a fraying noose circles her neck, serving as a grim memento mori. Long gone is the mullet she once had — her dark hair cropped short instead, but the look in her eyes remains just as cold and remorseless.
It’s a look he’s familiar with. One he’s seen in his fellow soldiers and one he sees every time he looks in the mirror. Like him, this woman is a killer, and she has no reservations about killing again.
“Rise ‘n shine, princess,” she drawls. Tendrils of smoke coil out of her mouth, demon-like, as she speaks. Her lips curl into a cruel smile. “Sleep well?”
Jacob shifts, pushing himself up into a seated position. A chain jangles behind him as he moves, but he pays it no mind, sliding backwards until his back is pressed against the wall. He levels her with a stone-faced glare, jaw clenching, and even as the seconds drag on, he doesn’t dare break eye contact.
Here, under her scrutinizing gaze, weakness is the one thing he can’t afford.
She tuts with a click of her tongue and bends down to squat in front of the bars. “Aw, c’mon now, ain’t no need to be like that,” she says, taking another puff of her cigarette. When she exhales, she blows the smoke through the bars, into his cell. That taunting grin of hers never leaves, and she crooks the two fingers holding her cigarette beckoningly. “Here, boy.”
But Jacob makes no move to obey. He remains where he sits and narrows his eyes.
She sighs, shoulders heaving in an exaggerated display of disappointment, as if she were a child upset that her favorite animal at the zoo wasn’t being interesting enough. Lifting the cigarette to her lips, she lets it dangle there for a moment while she shifts her weight to pull something from her pockets. Whatever it is, it’s small enough to fit in her palm without Jacob seeing it.
And then pain — sharp, jolting, and electric — shoots through his veins.
His jaw locks in place and he grinds his teeth together so hard he tastes blood. The skin around his neck burns. His muscles spasm, and he falls over onto the ground. His heart races, thumping against his ribcage with enough force that he thinks it might actually explode in his chest. A clipped scream slips out between his teeth and he writhes on the ground, limbs twitching in agony.
And just as suddenly as it started, it stops.
He’s left panting on the ground, red-faced and drooling. Thick strings of spittle dampen his beard, dripping onto the floor below. Yet, despite the trembling of his limbs subsiding as the current leaves his body, the tightness in his chest remains. It isn’t until he can’t take it anymore that a hoarse, rasping cough forces its way from him, leaving him dry-heaving where he lay. His sweaty temple is pressed against the cool concrete, and slowly, his heartbeat slows and he regains his breath.
When he opens his eyes with another groan, he finds La Roux regarding him dispassionately. “I said: c’mere,” she repeats, and this time, her tone leaves no room for disobedience.
Jacob grunts when he lifts himself onto trembling hands and knees. Reluctantly, he obeys, crawling towards her on aching knees until the chain behind him pulls taught and the electric collar she’d just used to shock him digs into his windpipe. He stops just short of the bars, unable to reach through and grab her.
Her lips curl into a cruel smile. “Good boy,” she says and takes another drag. “S’pose I don’t gotta explain the humor of your situation, do I, Deputy Seed?” she asks, reaching through the bars so she can tap the ashes of her cigarette onto the ground in front of him.
The irony of an officer of the law being unlawfully held in his own jail by a convicted felon isn’t lost on him, but once again, he doesn’t answer.
Unconcerned by his refusal to respond, La Roux keeps talking. “Tell me — you ever think about what happens to the people you lock up?” She cocks her head menacingly to the side and her voice lowers. “Do y’know what happens when a person spends too long inside a cage?”
“Why do I get the feeling you’ll show me,” he grits through clenched teeth.
He nearly flinches when she throws her head back to bark a laugh. When her gaze returns to him, her eyes are glimmering with malice. “You gonna give me reason to?” she asks. Once again, Jacob remains quiet, and she takes the moment to let her eyes rake over his body, sending a shiver crawling down his spine. She locks onto his old army dog tags, which dangle freely from his neck. Her smile widens. “Nah, y’already half broken in, ain’t’cha?”
She rises to stand and looks down at him groveling before her like a dog. Taking a final drag, she lets the butt of her cigarette slip from her fingers and fall to the ground. Her heavy boot comes down and she grinds its glowing ember out with her heel. “Don’t worry. We’ll get’cha the rest of the way there. I’ll train ya up real good.”

Chapter Three: My Church Has Triple Belly Floppers
I’d only been gone a short while before Jason and I were reunited, but Jason seemed much older than his seventeen years. I’d never seen him fight, but he fought ruthlessly and tirelessly. His hair was plastered with sweat, blood, and water as the rain poured on our heads. His eyes seemed so far away as rage twisted his sweet face into a frightening scowl. I don’t think he saw me. I can’t imagine he saw anyone. “Jason,” I called in the rain, knocking men’s heads together. I forced my way through armed men to reach him. “Jason!”
Our men joined me at the helicopter, and I waited. He couldn’t hear me. “Jason!” I hollered, and he scrambled to his feet, smiling as his chest heaved up and down. His face changed, and he looked like my boy again. I stood firm as he rushed into my arms and pressed his face into my chest.
“Papa! You’re alright!” Jason shouted. I wrapped my arms around him, my heart slowing to a gentle bum bum bum. I pulled away, holding a steady hand on his shoulder, and he looked into my eyes. He might’ve grown to be a man with a stature comparable to mine, but he was a child in his heart. I nodded, and he relaxed his shoulders. We joined the men and the warden on the helicopter.
He stood beside me as I exacted my revenge against our warden, but he grabbed my hand before I could offer one act of mercy. “He dies a man’s death in exchange for the imprisonment of children,” Jason whispered as he snatched Osito from the warden.
“Jason—.”
“Papa, he belongs to you. Not him,” Jason interrupted. I nodded. I gave Osito to Jason before completing the warden’s death sentence, and Jason took a bag off his back to dole out rations. “Papa, this is for you.”
I took my food and watched as he fed everyone except himself. “No one eats,” I commanded. Jason and the men’s foreheads wrinkled, but only Jason could ask why. “Everyone take a portion of their rations and give them to Jason.” They obeyed, and I gave him some of my food as well.
I nodded, and we all ate together. All the while, Jason watched me. “What’s wrong?” I asked.
“Nothing… I just—. You can do anything… I guess—. I never met anybody that keeps promises like you do,” Jason replied, “I’ve never had that before. But you did the impossible and got us out.”
I could see the sparkle of tears forming in Jason’s eyes. He tried to return Osito to me, and I shook my head. “He’s yours now. Consider it the first of many gifts to come,” I replied. I mussed his hair and grinned. “Rest. We’ll be home soon.”
Jason obeyed, curled up beside Bird, and fell asleep. I kept watch over Jason the whole flight to New Jersey. Bird made a call, and someone brought us a change of clothes and a key to a hotel room. I carried Jason to bed, and I sat with the men. It wouldn’t be long before I felt the illness setting in. I couldn’t allow Jason to see it, but I’d gotten so used to his company that I couldn’t sleep if we were apart. I tossed and turned all night, plagued by the same dreams that haunted me as a child. When I awakened, Jason lay curled into a ball by my side, a thin sheet covering us both. I could hear him whispering, but he wasn’t asleep. Jason spoke so fast I couldn’t make out his words. He only whispered that way when he prayed. His memory served him well. Those were the prayers he whispered when the men were sick. I memorized his cadence, focusing on the breaths he took to decipher the prayer. “Jason?” I whispered. I sat up, shielding my eyes from the sliver of light peeking through the cracked door, and Jason patted my arm.
“Papa, it’s alright,” Jason mumbled, still half-asleep. He sat up, his hair sticking up in some places while plastered to his forehead in others. He stood and pushed his hair back. “I have to go out for a little while. Will you be alright?”
“Do you want one me to accompany—?”
Jason crouched beside me and kissed my cheek. “No, Papa… It’s a surprise. I’ll be home soon,” Jason whispered, “Don’t worry, okay?”
I nodded, watching as he grabbed clothes from the chest and changed. “Should I stay awake?” I asked.
“I’ll wake you… Besides, I want you to get some rest. I want to take you to my church tomorrow night. Maybe Father Tyler will be there,” Jason smiled. I grabbed his wrist. I fought every desperate thought I had regarding the idea of separating. “It’s my turn to make promises, Papa. I’ll be back soon. I promise you.” I lay awake wondering if he’d return. I had to let him go. Even if he’d broken his promise, I would’ve loved him the same as I always did. But he returned no more than two hours after he left. He carried a large bag with him, but I paid it no mind as I grabbed Jason and pulled him into a relieved embrace.
“Where did you go?” I asked, remembering to be gentle in my tone. Jason picked up on every little change in pitch and tonation in my speech. It was one of many things that I loved about our closeness.
“I made a little cash and got you a Triple Belly Flopper with the works… And I got onion rings because it doesn’t seem right to have french fries with a burger as excellent as this one,” Jason smiled, “And don’t worry. I got something for everybody.” Jason reached into the bag and handed me a wrapped sandwich. My mouth watered as soon as I smelled it.
I chuckled involuntarily. “Sorry, I—.” And then I laughed. “It’s a sandwich. I thought it was a swimmer.”
Jason chewed his lip to keep from laughing but quickly joined me in my humorous moment. “Take a bite,” Jason whispered once he collected himself. He ripped the bag open and grabbed an identical sandwich for himself. We ate quickly, but I savored the last bite. It was unlike anything I’d ever tasted. My first of many convenient culinary delights. Jason smiled as I ate the onion rings. He waited until I’d finished eating to speak. “What did you think?”
I wiped my hands with a napkin and lifted his chin. “My church has Triple Belly Floppers,” I grinned. Jason laughed.
Then it dawned on me. I had no idea where Jason got the money. “Jason, how—? How could you afford this?” I questioned.
“I sold tires… I stole them and sold them. I could’ve gotten more money for a whole car, but tires are easier to replace and harder to trace back to me,” Jason explained, “Besides, I made a ton of money in an hour because I’m stronger than I was as a kid… And you won’t believe whose tires I lifted.”
“Whose?” I questioned.
“The Batman,” Jason smiled. He wanted to make me proud.
“You outsmarted him?” I asked. Jason shook his head.
“No, I took advantage of a distraction in the area. He never saw me… But I saw him. I watched him, Papa. He used to have a friend… A partner… But I didn’t see him. The Bat stands alone,” Jason whispered excitedly. My heart dropped into my stomach.
“Stay far away from him. Do you understand me?” I asked. I grabbed his arms. Jason was my child, but he no longer resembled the small boy I saw. To Batman, he would be another adversary. I couldn’t fathom the thought of Batman brutalizing the one I loved most. My dearest treasure. The men at the prison and the warden were different. They were weak… And they were tools to train Jason for survival… But, none of that readied him to beat the Bat, and I wouldn’t stand for him getting hurt on my behalf.
“Papa? I don’t understand. I thought this was what you wanted,” Jason frowned.
“Leave that to me and the men… For now, I want you to enjoy your freedom. Do the things you’ve always dreamt of… It will all be yours soon,” I replied.

When she said there were ghosts, False hadn't been kidding.
It's nothing Pearl can see, not properly - she supposes False must just have an eye for it - but in the time she spent getting a feel for the layout of the Capital that False calls home she caught more than a few glances of figures out of the corners of her eyes. Just people trying to live their afterlives, most likely; none of them have approached her. Maybe they can't leave their paths, or maybe they don't even know she's here at all. Not so much citizens of the long-dead ruins as the restless echoes of the people who once were.
Luckily, Pearl's met ghosts before.
To be fair, though, those were the ghosts of her friends, killed too soon in a game of death, unwilling to pass on until the blood of even the victor was spilled. She remembers Grian's spirit guiding the four of them back to the warden, trying to enact the plans that he died carrying out. She remembers their whispers as she sunk an axe through Bdubs' chest, backed up against a tree and begging for mercy from the army of dogs that kept snapping at their corpses till they went cold. She remembers the silence that fell when Cleo did, and the low rising murmur of realisation that she and Scott were the last ones left.
She remembers their anger rising, too. Their growing impatience when the pair of them took some time to sit together, to just catch up, to pretend they still had a chance of making things right.
When a ghost has its eye on you, you can feel it. The uncanny watching instills paranoia bone-deep. Their unsettled bloodlust seeps into your veins dreg by dreg.
Maybe that's why Scott went ahead and blew himself up in the end, rather than giving her a chance to duel him for the victory. That need to shut the voices on the wind around them up. She'd been so happy to finally have a friend that couldn't leave her - not if she were the last woman in the world, because she was by then - that she hadn't cared about the way the red life sang in her ears any more. Scott, clearly, had not been so resilient.
Pearl finds a building that seems mostly rebuilt and cleared up, and she sets herself up in a sheltered corner. Her bass needs retuning; it's been overplayed. She can't wait to get the guitar back - her music-making opportunities will double, and isn't that exciting?
(She doesn't know when she got this good at music, because she absolutely remembers struggling in the early days. Maybe bard has become more literal, somehow. She's heard mutterings about the forces of lore.)
There are no ghosts in the houses. They seem to stick to the places that False is yet to change, and they don't bother Pearl when she sings, soft, late into the night.
When a ghost has its eye on you, you can feel it.
Perhaps it's better that these ghosts don't try to watch.

Swap AU make my pea-sized brain ping around my head like one of those brick breaker games.
Mathis was on a flight to Great Bear to visit his son in prison. He booked a flight with Archer Remote Transport, flying with a serious woman named Molly who doesn’t seem to particularly like him. Their plane goes down, and he finds himself in a quiet apocalypse.
Molly is a pilot who hunts in her spare time. After her husband died in mysterious circumstances, she’s generally regarded with suspicion by the people around her, and it weighs heavily on her.
Astrid is a doctor in the small town of Thompson’s Crossing. Shes taken over the community centre as a clinic. She would go out and search for crash survivors, but the people here need all her attention.
Mackenzie is a convict who recently got transferred to Blackrock. After one of his guys, a stern man named Jeremiah, got sent here, he got himself sent up to break him out. By the time he reached the prison, that had already happened, so he started searching the island for someone who could get them off it.
Heller takes Jeremiah’s position almost exactly.
Jace takes Methuselah’s position, but isn’t quite as cryptic about it and instead speaks in scientific terms that leave Mathis like “please have mercy I got a C in high school physics”.
Lilith Barker takes Jace’s place, ensuring that Donner doesn’t escape. She was climbing Blackrock mountain when the first flare happened, and when she saw from above what was happening, she rushed down to try to help.
Vachon takes Hobbs’s place but isn’t as obviously dead meat after his cutscene though. Hobbs is the guy who they mentioned got shot with arrows (who is Leclerc in canon).
Mackenzie, in spite of being a convict, isn’t actually a bad guy. He’s exceedingly practical, but he cares for his people, and when he learns Mathis is trying to get to Blackrock, he immediately agrees to help him. Then a faction conflict happens in Blackrock because some dudes are like “hey fuck you and fuck this guy from solitary you’re not the boss of me”. So Mackenzie wrestles with that and keeps them in line while Mathis goes to do all the quests.
The warden and Father Thomas sort of swap places except the warden ends up more in Molly’s position. He went off the deep end a bit with the fire and brimstone and most people stopped attending his services, which he resents them for. He kills the convicts because “it’s the will of the Lord”. Just fully cuckoo bananas with the religion.
Grey Mother is Mackenzie’s other henchman because I think epic gun grandma should get to commit crime and also hang out with Mackenzie more. It’s part of why in this AU, Donner does actually escape; because Lily gets distracted by her mom being there.
Methuselah goes where Grey Mother does. He has the player go look for buffer memories instead so they can write down the story of Milton because he doesn’t want it to die. They need to go to the farmhouse to get the key to the office, not the lockbox.
Father Thomas isn’t locked up (because in this AU, the convicts didn’t murder everyone bc the staff weren’t as horrible to them) but he is completely useless in sorting out the conflict in the prison. Just like “oh no, please don’t— oh no you’re doing it anyways :(“

Feedback Fest 2024
These are in no particular order and they are all from a few different fandoms. Just 10 fics that I love.
Increments of Longing by QuickYoke: Though I've read fic off and on for a number of years, this is the first fic that I loved as much as I loved my favorite books. The story is built well, the tension is built just right, and everything really pays off in the end. I'd only read a smattering of Jaina/Sylvanas fics before this, but it made me search out a lot more. Warcraft & World of Warcraft fandom | Jaina Proudmoore/Sylvanas Windrunner
of greater marvels yet to be by seabiscuit: I'm a sucker for religious questioning and queer desire. The build up is sooooo good, so many scenes felt so palpable. As a former Very Religious Kid(TM) who has a lot of complicated feelings about it, this did such a good job of holding the religious pieces gently in its hands while also not shying away from how complicated it makes everything and sometimes how uncomplicated it makes everything. Warrior Nun fandom | Ava Silva/Sister Beatrice
Equilibrium by caesurae: If someone had told me I'd ever read a Pacific Rim crossover I would have laughed. Especially if they told me that I would love it. The characters just really work here and I think it does a good job of showing how people can connect and love and understand each other even when it's not romantic. Overwatch fandom | Pharah/Mercy
the spectres vain by QuickYoke: this was the fic that got me into the Bly Manor fandom. I had really liked the show, but hadn't really explored much in the fandom. But I subscribe to QuickYoke and I got a notification about this fic and loved it. And then I loved many a Bly fic after. The Haunting of Bly Manor fandom | Dani Clayton/Jamie & Dani Clayton/Viola Lloyd/Jamie
i broke my bones playing games with you by mooosicaldreamz: I love Peggy Carter, and though Peggy/Angie isn't actually my favorite pairing, I think it's a great one. This is just a nice little modern day AU where Peggy is Captain America (written before we had our Captain Carter) and she meets Angie and they eventually fall in love. Agent Carter fandom | Peggy Carter/Angie Martinelli
not quite enemies, not quite allies by afterism: Peggy/Dottie is my favorite Peggy Carter pairing, though it doesn't necessarily lend itself to very longform fics. It's just smut, but I think it's a good enemies to lovers that moves very quickly and ends really believably. And kind of makes me wish there was more fic to go with it. Agent Carter fandom | Peggy Carter/Dottie Underwood
there's a funeral in your eyes by nirav: I love this for everything that goes through Ava's mind as she is dealing with the person she loves being possessed and trying to kill her. I really love this scene being reimagined as if Beatrice had been possessed, and I especially love how this fic does it. Warrior Nun fandom | Ava Silva/Sister Beatrice
Three Nights by lecriteuse: In Dragon Age: Origins I've always had my warden romance Leliana. She's my favorite character, I like having her around as much as possible no matter what game I'm playing. But when I met Josephine and had her tell me a bit of her background, I restarted my game and made it so my warden had never romanced Leliana so I could let her and Josephine have a go at it before Inquisition. This fic does a great job of putting that into writing. Dragon Age: Inquisition fandom | Leliana/Josephine Montilyet
who needs comfortable love by the_ominous_owl: This was just a really fun take on the Warrior Nun mythology. And a really well thought out and written play on it. Considering we'll only have the two seasons, this slots in really nicely to the gaps of questions left behind. It's also really cute. Warrior Nun fandom | Ava Silva/Sister Beatrice
bring home a haunting by QuickYoke and youngbloodbuzz: If the spectres vain is what got me into the Bly Manor fandom, then this is what made me stay. I looked forward to this fic every week, often staying up very late as the chapters got longer. This is the fic I return to when I finish a rewatch because it does a really good job of conveying a lot of the same emotions and themes. Bly Manor's big theme of ghost stories and love stories being the same thing is really, really present here: what if the the ghosts of our past came back and our emotions continued to haunt us until we confronted them? The Haunting of Bly Manor fandom | Dani Clayton/Jamie

OC x Canon Week (Day 1) - "Magical Mishap at the End of the World"
Holding Hands / Apocalyptic AU / "If it wasn't for you…"
(with Zevran Arainai from Dragon Age Origins)
----------------------------------------------------------
"M-mi amor? I know this isn't probably the time to point it out, but I don't think this is normal…"
Lot of things weren't normal at the moment, considering the freaking Veil just got torn open and it was the end of the world, but still hearing that trembling in Zevran's voice was enough to steal away all of Manwë's attention, her head whipping from the green tear in the sky and toward her husband.
Her husband who suddenly got flaming hands but was apparently feeling no pain one should've from flaming hands.
If a damn demon dared to poke from the corner before she finished tending to him, Manwë wasn't going to show it any mercy.
"Zev…"
"I find this really hot when it is you doing it, but I may need some teachings before achieving your mastery…"
Normally she would have relished in the levity of his tone, but given that he was still staring wide-eyed at the fire he unwillingly conjured…
He was definitely in a state of shock.
And he was trembling a bit too, but she could fully realize how much only when she reached out, her hands coating with frost to extinguish the flames on his.
She had to be quick with her grip, because he tried to wrench them away as soon as he saw her coming closer.
"No, no, it's okay, you're not going to burn me." she gently shushed him, her fingers lacing with his as coldness fought back against heat and she pushed her forehead against her husband's, forcing him to look at her eyes.
"Deep breaths, okay? Look at me and breathe deeply, okay, love? Let me help you."
Finally those pretty, honey-colored eyes focused on hers and Manwë could feel him lean against her.
He was calming down and she dared let one of his hands go to stroke his cheek, the residual cold from her magic making him flinch a bit but not avert his eyes.
"Good boy, shhh…"
She dared to look down to check his hands, now enveloping her own: the flames were simmering down, so she slowly shut down the flux of mana that fed the frost in her fingers.
As soon as she was sure Zevran had no more reason to fear, she raised their conjoined hands in front of his face, placing a soothing kiss on them.
"There, see?"
She could feel his trembling finally stopping and see the relief in his eyes while he finally took a relieved breath, before giving out a nervous laugh.
"Guess now I could literally burn for you, my love."
"Okay, you're flirting, now I'm sure you're fine."
"I would've roasted myself if it wasn't for you, let me express my gratitude, mi bella!"
Too bad that the demon Manwë promised herself she would have no mercy for before decided that now was probably a good time to try its luck.
"Maybe later, now that I think about it!" Zevran exclaimed, pulling her out of the way of a slash. "After we survived the end of the world!"
----------------------------------------------------------
Okay, here's my first entry for the @theocxcanonweek featuring my Warden, Manwë Surana, and her husband, the canon character Zevran Arainai!
Since one of the prompts was Apocalyptic AU I thought "hey, Solas basically would cause an apocalypse if he ever manages to tear down the Veil, so let's go with that!".
And I saw many theorize that one of the consequences would be that all elves would finally have access to magic again, so I decided to write how Zevran would react: I agree that he would probably have fun with it, but as soon as it happens? A bit of panic is understandable. u.u

The Muses: Cadence Tabris
Developing early on a keen awareness and concern for the welfare of his fellow elves in the Denerim Alienage, Cadence is easily underestimated. Often an elf of few words, but many thoughts, he will always attempt diplomacy first. When this breaks down, however, he has no trouble putting the skills his mother taught him to use defending those who cannot defend themselves, particularly those he loves, with remarkable ferocity. While the new king of Ferelden is often said to seek his advice, the Warden of the Gray has developed something of a reputation for sometimes making controversial decisions and having a contentious relationship with politics.
[World State Three]
Game decisions/deviations

My point still stands. But as a update:
The AU has been updated and has its own blog. Hopefully I can get Lamb's reference sheet done soon so it can be the new icon for the blog.
Consider checking it out if you want to see the Lamb's parental issues-
I honestly couldn't care if the fandom found this post but to put it simply:
The Cult of the Lamb fandom is icky.
It's funny how I can manage being in the fandom to this day while watching this fandom become to... whatever it is now.
This is a bit why I made my AU, Death and the Archivist.
What i mean is that Death and the Archivist is structured to bring into light of what the fandom turns a blind eye to (lore, less favorable and more favorable npcs, the bishops, narilamb flaws) because the fandom is just raging in shipping, woobifying characters, infantilizing Leshy, inappropriate jokes and probably more.
The AU is made to show how dark Cult of the Lamb is exactly. Like the bishops and Narinder are guilty of the lamb massacre and should be punished accordingly by Lamb because their race was wiped clean because of a prophecy due to Narinder's betrayal of the laws of the Old Faith. Yet the fandom badly uses Narinder and praise the bishops as if they never did anything wrong.
Yeah, people are allowed to interpret the characters of the game how they want but to this point, the fandom's "code" is to ship Narilamb without looking deeper into their relationship, woobify characters constantly, never make fem and male ocs interesting, disregard matters like Sozo's shroom addiction, and push aside other npcs for the more popular npcs.
So yeah, I guess I'm alone on this criticism with this icky-inducing fandom-
#chiffons | reblogs#cult of the lamb critical#cult of the lamb#mercy | warden's end au#still don't interact with the fandom as much now#i mainly reblog posts that are good ideas#or supporting other au creators who are on the same boat as me#you're doing great#once again: don't really care how the fandom reacts

Some more ideas for the fandom to read. From my Trigun Sanctuary AU that I was writing for but have put on hiatus for now. Where Vash falls into a world of magic and supernatural Fae to be saved by a Fae woman.
Vash tends to eat enough for four people when he is recovering from his many injuries. But Adelha is glad to make him enough food. She does however have to politely insist that Vash curb his sweet tooth and eat more vegetables instead. But Vash is able to bribe the local Aerials next door to give him fruit in exchange for his stories about his life.
Meryl and Milly spend a full month adjusting to this island sanctuary when they first show up. But Milly does have a ton of fun with Adelha's pets to just sit in the front meadow and play with them all day. Meryl starts writing journals and reading everything she can get her hands on to learn about this new world and find a way to manage living here long term. Thankfully, having Vash to bounce her many ideas off of is a big help.
Wolfwood ends up falling into the sanctuary in tatters from whatever magic portal opened up. Which means he takes a while to recover. (no vials for Wolfwood anymore and no couch lounging plz and tyvm) Sadly, he's a right grumpy asshole to Adelha during this time. Like outright rude as Hell and snarling at her whenever she has to change his bandages. So Vash ends up having to play nurse to also just whap Wolfwood over the head a lot.
The one to get Wolfwood out of his bad mood is Meryl. Since she has a sit down moment with him on the beach to just call him out as being terrified of being in this strange and dangerous new world. Which Wolfwood ends up having a panic attack over. Thankfully, Adelha's pets just crawl into his lap to give him face kisses and snuggles as Meryl covers him with Vash's old red coat she was sewing up. While Adelha in dragon form just lays down right behind Wolfwood to keep his back protected. Wolfwood has a good long cry for him to get all his issues aired out. He's much more tolerable after.
Over a year passes before Knives shows up. Apparently, Knives fell into the world right in the backyard of Adelha's guardian up in Germany. With plans to have him moved to the island sanctuary once he is fit for travel. Since the island is off the coast of Dublin, Ireland and that's a big trip.
Knives ends up under a kind of house arrest once he does get there. With Adelha's guardian and teacher Claude Gaugain being a kind of warden slash teacher for Knives. They stay up to the north of Adelha's mansion in a mountain cabin that is close to where mining may be done. Claude has Knives mine and smelt ore to hone his focus and his body. Which Vash ends up doing after a week to be as close to his twin as possible. This gives them a chance to fashion a new left arm for Vash with magic and metals.
At some point, Wolfwood and Knives finally have it out. Which is a knock down hard core fist fight with Claude and Adelha acting as referees. Vash spends the entire time sitting with Adelha to look heartbroken and hurt the entire fight. With the two fighting just outright trying to maul the other. It lasts for a good twenty minutes before Claude fiannly steps in. Since both Knives and Wolfwood are basically on the ground and unable to move anymore. But it does get all the anger and tension out. So Adelha patches them up to give them a simple lecture about letting mercy and forgiveness into themselves.
Three years after Vash first arrives in the sanctuary, Adelha's extended family move back onto the island due to global politics and conflict with another Fae clan that is looking to start trouble. So the island gets a lot more active and sociable. Since there's like sixteen more people living there. As well as four more puppies that Milly gets to spoil rotten.
Vash and Adelha end up falling in love for them to wed and adopt a few newborns or just have children of their own if not both. While Wolfwood ends up with Adelha's cousin Verne for them to travel the world on her motorcycle. Meryl ends up dating several of the young men in the Currier clan, but soon ties the knot with Matvei who uses his charisma and boldness to win her over. Milly meets a young Fae who is the owner of a big daycare in Dublin to end up eloping with this Fae and they basically have eight kids together. Knives takes a long while to open up, but does fall in love with one of the Currier clan. Since Agrias all but moves in with Knives and Claude to polish her swordsmanship and physical abilities.
Lina and Sheryl end up on the island to reunite with Vash and see how he has made a perfect life for himself. Adelha welcomes them both for their children to openly hug Lina and Sheryl and get them moved in with them. Lina get a full college education from Adelha's guardian Eugene Currier. While Sheryl is surrounded by happiness and love to thank the Lord for such blessings. Sheryl ends up marrying either Eugene or Claude. While Lina gets to travel the world with several of the young men in the Currier clan who wish to travel and learn of the world they have yet to see. Vash has a moment of protective older brother happen but is glad Lina is so happy.
Wolfwood comes back with Verne for them to show off their newborn baby boy to the entire island family. With Wolfwood looking like a proud papa to declare the little boy is named August Sigavash Wolfwood. Which has Vash get all sappy to cry happy tears as Adelha openly chuckles.
#Trigun AU#Trigun Sanctuary AU#Au ideas I have#maybe one day I will write more fanfiction for this AU verse#I just want to have Vash and Wolfwood living happy lives surrounded by pets and loved ones

Owl House/Ice Age AU (#24)
1) The Golden Guard greets with the remaining Emperor's Coven: Emperor Belos, Kikimora, Warden Wrath and Steve; the rest having left for the not freezing cold lower sections of the Titan as by now the snow has blanketed the entire upper half. Off in the distance King is spotted holding the child. Belos tells them to wait until the Owl Beast is in sight. An eager Steve is itching to get into some action, w/ Hunter giving him the push to go ahead which in turn has the other two also charge, much to the Emperor's chagrin. The three closing in on King...
2) ..who jumps up and using the discarded nails of a larger demon, skis downhill with great speed. Stunning the three Emperor Coven members. All three continue the chase after the demon with the baby.
3) King racing atop the snow.
4) Dodging most of the jagged rocks successfully, King bumps into one and loses a ski, changing from skiing to snowboarding. He trips up and looses the baby. Leaving her at the mercy of the Emperor's Coven -- that is, if it was actually her, being a mud decoy. "Sorry fellas! She had herself a mud bath!" King shouts over to the duped coven. Angered, Belos has the three continue after the little demon. Right int the path of a waiting Eda who tosses a log at them. Hunter rejoins, but as does Belos.
5) Elsewhere, King is off to fetch baby Luz from her hiding spot. Completely unaware of the presence of Steve. Soon alerted to that fact after Luz points it out with "Where's the baby". Steve makes a dive for the infant which King quickly pulls her out of the way. Lodging himself in the hole. To further wedge him in, King headbutts the coven scout a few times before leaving. Back with Hunter, Belos and Eda, the Golden Guard places himself between the Emperor. Showing his alliance is with the Owl Beast now.
6) A fight between Hunter and the Emperor unfolds, but the boy is quickly overpowered. Eda faces the two remaining Emperor's Coven members. Despite her valiant effort, Eda is ensnared in a restraint. Now held down, the emperor prepares to put an end to the owl beast...
7) In a final selfless act, Hunter jumps in the way of the fatal blast saving Eda. Before he can finish the defected Golden Guard off, he is momentarily distracted by the arrival of King with Luz in hand. Escaping her confines and all with her might and swats the emperor into a wall. Icicles shaken from the impact break above Belos and impale the "witch", ending his reign as emperor on the Boiling Isles....
8) With the remaining Emperor's Coven members scared off, the two go to see their companion lying in the snow. Despite King's encouraging words to the Golden Guard, the boy knows his time is nearing it's end. With his remaining strength, Hunter tells them they need to hurry to the Titan Skull else they'll never make it to the humans and return Luz to her family. Eda tells him he didn't need to do that. Hunter responds with his final words, "..That's what you do for your coven..."
9) With the passing of their dear friend, Hunter. King and Eda continue on their journey. Making their way out of the Chest Cavity and onto the final stretch to the Titan's Skull. Watching them from afar is the same little bird palisman that's been following along with them.

Multiple long-posts anon here. I'm glad you like my ramblings, I usually stay on the sidelines but your au really inspired me. It's just a really neat concept.
Here is some more lighthearted stuff.
Little Emmet totally wanted to throw hands with god, since Arceus felt guilty about the whole situation he allowed it. They even pretended to go down and did a whole dramatic death speech and everything. Akari filmed everything on her phone. Emmet knew Arceus was faking it but it did make him feel better and appreciated it. Besides he can now brag that he beat up god. It kind of becomes an inside joke. The Black and White Protag tried to disprove it with Reshiram but they just confirm it. Everyone becomes just a little bit more intimidated by Emmet that day. There is a reason Team Plasma avoids the subways.
The twins are also now very familiar with pokemon from Sinnoh. They are also experts on a very specific time in history.
Chandelure and Eelektross are happy to eventually be reunited with their pokemon friends from Hisui. The Hisui team is also glad to see their little friends all grown up.
really glad to hear that you are inspired by this little idea of mine ^^ I love hearing all this, and it really helps kind of work out the story forming in my head ^^
just the thought of Little Emmet just trying to fight Arceus is just funny to me, and Arceus allowing it and faking it the whole time is cute. Emmet knows it's fake the whole time, he barely comes up to the god's knee so how could he possibly suplex them. but in the end for a Kid who's been threw some shit and knows that at some point in the future, he's going to loose his brother, yeah it makes him feel a better and he appreciates the god of all Pokemon willing to fake an L to make him feel better. 'Thou has felled me with thy strength! I feel to weak to continue! Mercy! Mercy! I cry! the wounds thou has unflicked will last a life time! Hark! a light, can thou not see it! Please! Akari return me to my Pokeball, be for Emmet The God slayer! finishes me off!'
and yeah he brags about it. 'Why are Legendry Pokemon banned on the battle subway? cause I punched god in the face and they went down like a wet paper towel.' people don't know when or where this happened but Reshiram proves it's not a lie, well you get the idea.
then they get back they hard suddenly really good with Sinnoh history, or at least for a very specific time in history. no one is quite sure why but they are also very familiar with pokemon from sinnoh and even ones that no longer exist.
When Ingo returns (from his second trip) he also has his own team from Hisui as will as the twin's teams as well. (arceus's idea) so not only does Chandelure get to reunite with her trainer after he disappears without her, but her and Eelektross get to meet back up with all of their old friends from both the Warden's team and theirs. the twins old Hisui team are confused as to what happened to their little trainers (they was kids like 5 seconds go you guys), and Eelektross and Chandelure have to explain what happened.

Well, after that fic, I need the Cinderella AU more than ever, can you imagine Hunter fighting with Amity and Willow? And then he is normal Blight, fighting her and all, insulting her and having no mercy, and then "Oh... Will-I MEAN plant witch😳 are you ok? O-oh... You want me to stop fighting? Well if you ask me like that, being so kind 👉👈" so shy and you have Amity looking at him so confused.
THANKS FOR THE RECOMENDATION!!! 💞💞💞
You're welcome!!! ^-^
HONESTLY I think if Amity realized that GG has a thing for Willow she would try to kill him on the spot. (The only thing stopping her would be Willow herself because she finds it hilarious)
GG would be all tsundere-like "It's not like I have a soft spot for her or anything" because he's a coven official and he's got to keep up appearances.
But the real Hunter is absolutely open and obvious about his feelings. He doesn't need/expect Willow to return them, he's just happy to have an opportunity to actually express them.
A lot of the dynamic would depend on whether others know his real identity or not.
Because if they did know, even "fighting" with Amity at some point would become routine and insults aren't serious. Hunter still believes Belos is the best thing in the world, he still needs his Hollow Mind moment, but he also cares about the other witches and has nothing against them, they just need to understand that if everyone followed Titan's will things would be better! But he doesn't want anyone to doubt him or his loyalty to the coven so he tries to keep up appearances. And everyone thinks it's so funny to see him try to pretend to not have the fattest most obvious crush on Willow. He would say something dumb as GG (he likes making up dramatic speeches but doesn't always think them through), and when he's in the Normal Hunter Mode everyone would be like "Oh why are you sitting so close to Willow? I thought you said her vile sorcery wasn't strong enough to distract you from the Titan's plans?"
Of course this dynamic can't last long, and eventually a Hollow Mind esque thing would happen, because you just can't keep someone who works directly with the main villain in your friend group with them changing sides or betraying you.
If they don't know however... I don't know how that would happen. Maybe Hunter wears a concealment stone under his mask and it changes his appearance when he meets Luz and Amity but he doesn't wear it for some reason when he goes to meet Willow? And the whole kidnapping bit at the end doesn't happen. He still goes by Caleb. Now this one has genuine secret identity.
Willow enjoys how flustered she can get the Golden Guard, but why would she think twice about him when Caleb is so sweet and right there? Maybe the fact that GG is attracted to her just makes her angry. He's a creep and he's working for Belos. It makes her skin crawl that he's probably having some weird fantasies about her. Maybe she even thinks he feels the same for her as Warden Wrath does for Eda. She likes Caleb, but he's so secretive. He probably doesn't feel comfortable sharing his secrets yet, and he's definitely not attracted to her like that. Why couldn't she catch his attention instead of GG? (This probably frustrates her and makes her go all out on GG when they meet).
In this one it might be the opposite to the previous actually: Caleb feels too scared to slip up and reveal his secrets, but as GG he has more confidence to actually say what he thinks (more or less. He still needs to keep up appearances).
But of course Luz and Amity from their encounters and Willow herself eventually sees that he's not that bad, that he has a heart and doesn't like to bring harm to people and he's just really misguided. Aaaaand there comes my favourite trope "I'm in love with two people what should I do (but actually those are the same person)"
Eventually the secret identity would have to get revealed, I don't think it would be too dramatic, but it would probably happen like. Just the day before Hollow Mind or something.
