Next phase is to square it off and make it... however big I want to make it.

It unfortunately doesn't lay completely flat, but thats what I get for doing something that's very much not for beginners as... my first... solo quilt. I'm not sure if there's any minor remedy besides unstitching anything that doesn't line up, but I'm very much open to tips and suggestions.

Otherwise, I'm going to just move forward... carefully. I'm definitely a "learn as you go" sort of person, and there's definitely things that I know now that I wish I'd known when I started lmao.. ah well.

Otherwise, I'd say it's looking pretty good!

La Mercerie Droguerie Chatelaine, un lieu où le paradoxe est roi. D'un côté, une mercerie, cet endroit où les ménagères vertueuses (et quelques ménagers, soyons modernes) viennent chercher du fil pour donner une seconde vie à des chaussettes orphelines. De l'autre, une droguerie, où les mêmes personnes viennent acheter de quoi effacer les traces de leurs crimes, ou tout simplement des tâches de confiture de groseille malencontreusement renversée sur une nappe. Et devant ce magnifique édifice du commerce polyvalent, une voiture qui semble avoir été oubliée par son propriétaire depuis la Révolution française. Peut-être que le type est entré acheter une brosse à reluire en oubliant qu'il en a une naturelle sous le bras. Ces petites guirlandes colorées, suspendues à la façade avec l'élégance d'une moustache sur Mona Lisa, semblent être les vestiges d'une fête. Probablement celle du dernier client satisfait. C'était en 1923. Mais soyons francs, entre le parfum de naphtaline et les échos lointains des marchandages d'antan, le lieu exhale une nostalgie contagieuse. Car, comme disait ma grand-mère : « Mieux vaut une droguerie à portée de main qu'une mercerie au bout du monde. » Et au vu de cette épave rongée par le temps, il semblerait qu'un audacieux ait tenté l'expédition mercerie sans le confort de son tacot et sans se rendre compte non plus qu’il en avait une sous le nez. Une preuve irréfutable, s'il en fallait une, que la bêtise humaine a la persistance d'une tache de rouille sur un pantalon blanc.

Ofc you can put your hand in mercury

You can even hold it and play with it a bit, just not for long, plus dont breath mercury gases in. From personal experience mercury doesn't feel wet, and its super light you almost don't feel it!!!! Fun metal!!!!

Last night before boarding our cruise ship (I)...

Some restaurants still take reservations the old-fashioned way, by phone call, which is a little bit inconvenient for foreign tourists, and the restaurant we went to tonight was this kind...I made the reservation the more old-fashioned way, by stopping by yesterday...

They serve only a 5-course menu at dinner time, for Fuin, they provide a 2- or 3-course menu with a pasta dish, perfect for us...

By late March, Jupiter will be mostly gone from our evening twilight sky. But, on March 27-28, 2023, Mercury and Jupiter will have a conjunction, very low in the west after sunset. The planets will be a little over 1 degree apart. That’s about 2 full moon diameters. They’ll be a challenge to spot, but Venus will stand out above them, and might help you locate them.
