Nature motif in some outfits of the Estanyol-Llor family

(This is my way of saying I'm going to start posting edits & gifsets about La Catedral del mar and Los Herederos de la tierra that I said some time ago I would do @asongofstarkandtargaryen)

Arnau started earing some money and started wearing outfits with more details, but still a bit rough (ie the blue outfit with the blue & black vegetal patron) when he became a moneychanger and then more detailed clothing after Pedro IV of promoted Arnau to higher position when he became a Consul of the sea and a baron

Apart from that, the pattern could be a reference to the flowers that his mother wore in her hair, in Grandpa Arnau and Francesca's wedding.

I love how since then other members of the family wear in some aspects of their outfits flowers and/or leaves, although Mercè is the one who wears more outfits with vegetal embodery, in contrast with adult Bernat, whom costumes are in general black or dark colors and his only costume with vegetal patron (in this case with leaves) is the outfit he wore during his wedding with Mercè.

I included a detail of Caterina's wedding outfit because that crown of flowers reminds me of Dolça and young Regina because they wore it something similar.

In term of themes, I would say that maybe those patterns and elements reflects the link of the family to nature in their origins (i.e Arnau's parents were peasants) and their current background of of Hugo and Mercè, Hugo being a winegrower, and Mercè grew up between vineyards.

Apart from plants & earth, other nature motif is water and sea, concretely, because inhabitants sustain their lifes and work in the sea, for example Hugo's father was a sailor, and since he was s kid Hugo wanted to be a shipbuilder; for Arnau, there are also several phases of his life related with sea, firstly as a bastaix, then when he took an important role in the defeat of the Castilian navy and so the king appointed him as consul. And obviously the Santa María del Mar basilica aka 'the cathedral of the sea', which Mar is named after (Mar is the short form that is usually used to call women whose name is Maria del Mar). Plus some of Arnau and Mar's outfits during La Catedral del mar are of different shades of blue. And also Hugo, Caterina and Arnau Jr. in the sequel.

There's another thing related with the Estanyols and water motif but it comes from heraldy and the etymology of the surname. I will make another post soon because this one is getting a bit long.

«Quiero Dejar Bien Atado Para Mis Herederos La Hacienda, El Patrimonio Y La Cultura»

Gekijōban Naruto Shippūden: Hi no Ishi o Tsugu Mono (Naruto Shippūden, la Película: los Herederos de la Voluntad de Fuego) llegó a los cines nipones el 1 de agosto de 2009 bajo la dirección de Masahiko Murata. Arnau Estanyol es ahora un prohombre que ha tomado bajo su protección a Hugo Llor, hijo de un marinero fallecido. Un humilde huérfano de 12 años, hijo de un malogrado marinero, que sueña con convertirse en mestre d'axia, artesano constructor de galeras y embarcaciones, pero no lo va a tener fácil. El protagonista es Hugo Llor, que es también un luchador. Entre estos secundarios sin lugar a duda merece la pena destacar a las tres mujeres con las que Hugo va a estar más unido, la rusa Caterina, su hija Mercè y la esclava mora Barcha. Durante este año se han celebrado los herederos de la tierra epub 25 de la apertura del Museo Thyssen, en el que las raíces españolas de Tita fueron determinantes. Normalmente este libro le costará EUR 12,34. .

Donde va ir este disparate cuando no se quiere admitir el gran peso político del asunto y es tratado como delincuencia urbana. Idioma del libro físico: Español. No puedo decir lo mismo de su secuela, que se me ha hecho muy cuesta arriba, donde he dejado el libro "aparcado" días y días seguidos (mala señal en mí) aunque remarco que no he saltado nada de la historia,. Y todavía en el día de hoy permanecen en la misma condición de dureza, aunque su endurecimiento ha sido parcial, como espero explicar en otros artículos de esta serie (comp. Esta troncalidad se mantiene para todos los parientes tronqueros tengan vecindad civil vasca o no, quienes tienen preferencia ante cualquier acto de disposición de los bienes tanto inter vivos como mortis causa. Es por eso que en Ef. La pobreza encendió la mecha de la persecución a los judíos y en 1.391 los barceloneses asaltaron y destruyeron la juedería, asesinando a todos aquellos que rechazaron la oportunidad de convertirse a la fe cristiana.. La juez de Barcelona tendrá que reabrir la causa. Además, es lo que me permitía que el personaje saliera de Barcelona y recorriera los reinos de Aragón y de Valencia. Los personajes de Falcones son odiosos y perversos, intrigantes, tramposos. La muy esperada continuación del gran fenómeno editorial "La catedral del mar" de Ildefonso Falcones. En noviembre de 2004, Falcones buscaba editor para El Bastaixo, título inicial de La Catedral del Mar. También pueden constituir a título gratuito inter vivos o mortis causa un «usufructo poderoso». Remember the gif of the two girls dancing, because those girls appear in the first photo and it seems that they're on a kind of harvest feast (because of the grapes in the baskets) and in the scene that corresponds to the gif of the girls dancing, they aren't exactly dancing they're smashing grapes to make wine (but I think it's something Arya would like, so it could be good for an edit of Arya in Dorne AU)

Like father, like son La Catedral del Mar & Los Herederos de la tierra edition, or more exactly Parallels and Antiparallels regarding Arnau and Bernat's stories:

{Arnau gets his revenge kicking the Puig family out of their house, make them give to their slaves their rich clothes and material possesions and making Grau, Isabel, Margarida, and Genís do a "walk of shame" through Barcelona's streets because they treated Grandpa Bernat and him like shit when he was just a kid}

{ Bernat Jr. get his revenge kicking out the remaining members of the Puig family out of their house, makes them give to him their rich clothes and makes Roger Puig do a "walk of shame" through Barcelona's streets, but he used this as a pretext to order Guerao to kill Roger in the streets without being noticed, because Genís, Margarida and young Roger were directly and indirectly responsable for parents' deaths}

{ Arnau marries for his third time Mar, who is his adoptive daughter and pupil, who is several years more younger than him but it was a happy marriage and they have a son together, and they named him after Arnau's dad, Bernat and at least both of them coukd watch Bernat grow up til he was a teenager}

{ Bernat Jr. marries for his first time Mercè, Hugo's adoptive daughter (actually his niece, but he didn't know it) that became Bernat's pupil, who is several years more younger than him, like he could be her father, mainly because Hugo and Bernat ans supposed to be around the same age, although Bernat and Mercè's marriage turned to be a very bad one because of Bernat's decissions ended up very badly, like he could have tried to get Barcha out of jail or stayed by Mercè's side when people accused her for being "the devil's daughter" (although probably the Bishop was Mercè's biological father) but have a son together and they named him after Bernat's father, Arnau. Bernat's killed by Galcerán Destorrent's guards so he won't be able to raise his sons, but Arnau still has Mercè and Hugo by his side, although Gaspar probably will be raised by the Destorrents. The story has ended because La Catedral del mar and Los Herederos de la tierra books are only a duology, but I guess that in the future there could be again familial disputies between the Destorrent and the Llor family becauseof that, althoughI think Mercè and Hugo would encourage Arnau to have a good relationship with his brother Gaspar}

Grandpa Bernat Estanyol adopts Joan, although he's a single dad raising both little Arnau and Joan, although he couldn't see them grow.

Arnau Estanyol adopts Mar, being at first a single dad and raising her with Sahat who is like Mar's second dad, although he married Elionor, but I wouldn't consider she was a mom for Mar.

Hugo Llor adopts Mercè, being at first a single dad and raising her with Barcha, who was after all like Mercè's mom, but later he married Regina, and she was a good mom for Mercè at the beginning.

The Estanyol/Llor family and their close friends when they see a homeless or orphan child:

It make sense for the characters to do so, all of them have been through very hard conditions like poverty, classism and even slavery in Sahat and Barcha's case. So it's cute that when they have the chance to help other people that have been through hard conditions too or are very vulnerable like poor and homeless children or people who suffer religious discrimination like jews and muslims

Granpa Bernat and little Arnau were treated like shit in general by the Puigs and other nobles because Granpa Bernat was a peasant, but he tried to make Joan's life a bit better than it was.

And little Mar was an orphan of the Fortuny family, a family of bastaixos, and probably she reminded Arnau about himself when he was just a kid.

A great part of the plot around Arnau, Mar & co. is achiving a power position but always remember where you come from and trying to use this position to help people like the smallfolk and the jewish population from other members of the nobility, the whole " We're not like them" thing as it's shown in La Catedral del mar and a bit in Los Herederos de la tierra when Arnau and Mar are trying to help Hugo and his family ( other issue is that although Arnau tried to help them, the positions in which he promoted Arsenda and Hugo's mother didn't turn very well for them) and they truly cared about him because Bernat Jr. and him were very close friends like they were brothers, so Hugo learned their ideals since he was a child.

Something similar is shown when Barcha, Caterina, Omar and other freed slaves formed a community to help each other and trying to help other slaves to quit slavery like Elena the greek girl and other from enslaved people in Barcelona

Like I get that Bernat was very angry at the Destorrents at the end when he was told about Marta poisoning Arnau Jr., and he "punished" the Destorrents by giving little money in his will, I think he could had put a bit of the family inheritance for Gaspar, so maybe the wouldn't pit against Arnau and the Llor family because of Bernat's will, or put something in the will to make sure that Gaspar and Arnau could grew up together, so they could have a strong brothers bond, although the Destorrents would probably happy with it because ut would mean that Gaspar would spend more time with the Llor family than the Destorrents.

Yes, I think in La catedral del mar we root for Arnau because he was trying to do his best snd trying to be kind and fair to the people he cared about, Joan, Sahat, Mar, Hugothe baistaxos and other smallfolk and the jews, although he was rough when it was neccesary to some people like the Puigs and other nobles.

But for his son in LHDLT, I saw little of this in the episodes he appears, at the beginning in the first two episodes is easy to root for him because he was just a boy who has lost both of his parents and we know that probably will return to Barcelona to avenge Arnau and Mar, but when he returns great part of his actions are because of rage, resenment and desire for revenge against the Puigs.

And although he can be kind to Guerao and Mercè, at first he was unfair with Hugo because he was resentful towards with because Hugo didn't killed Roger Puig and he was unfair not letting Hugo and Caterina come into his house without his permission, and then he didn't nothing to free Barcha and then he turned against Mercè when she needed help, like yeah at the end he opened his eyes because of the letter Mercè wrote to Arsenda explaining everything and he regretted what he had done and tries to "compensate" that he had been a dick to the Llor family by putting them in a better position than the Destorrent family in his will, although like we have said his decission probably will still be another reason for the Destorrent to envy Arnau Jr., Mercè or Hugo.
