Requests: closed
Edited: No :,)
Pairing: Murdoc x GN!Reader
Phase: unspesified
I'll edit the text green tomorrow, rn I need to go to bed... also I might add more later but I am tired af
TW: Kinda angsty, murdocs got issues, swearing, jealousy, trust issues, mentions of murdocs drinking, unhealthy coping, bad communication, if I missed any do tell!
Tumblr media
once more, love? who's that?
This man's never met them in his life
But seriously like I've mentioned before Murdoc does not handle kindness well
He doesn't think highly of people and often think they have bad intentions
So he often thinks people are either using kindness as some underhanded tactic
Or that their stupid cuz their nice
I feel like a broken record at this point but Murdoc was not raised in a environment that fostered an environment that encouraged him to care for others, it was kinda a man eat man world, and it made him very self centered
So he has a very hard time grasping at the idea of caring for anyone else but himself
And again same goes with being nice, in his world being nice got him no where so in his eyes those who are nice are incompetent
But either way nice people, caring people, love- make him mega uncomfortable and nervous
So his S/O like I've said in past he's break down some walls
when his S/O starts being real loving and caring at the start of the relationship, it honestly sets off alarmbells for him
He thinks your up to something your not, he's just paranoid
but another part of him soaks it up like a sponge
inflating his already inflated ego
he'll soak up praise and let you be as caring as you want, he's being treated like he deserves in his mind
that's until the voice inside his head starts spreading the little seeds of doubt
his trust issues bubbling up as your love is seeming more unconditional
It's unnerving really, people usually start acting less nice by now...
Your care is making him uneasy
And he'll cope at the start by making fun of you teasing you, and he has the tendency to take things to far at times
He can become aggressive if you make him feel too vulnerable too early in the relationship
it takes time for him to get used to more genuine love
He can't handle romantic or genuine intimacy
It scares him :(
So he copes HARD
Like it's sad to watch
Ways he copes: he thinks you doing things for him is you coming on to him, make fun of you if you say you love him, praise is met with teasing, ect
He doesn't nesisarly not like it, in fact if you stopped he'd get into his own head even more
And there is no short term solution, you just need to be patient and carful, he needs understanding and time
This is probably the first genuine relationship in his life
His relationship experience is mostly hook ups and hollow relationships that never lasted long
This is new and intimidating
The the shitty part is that he doesn't let you know that
His communication skills are trash and is scared to express his true feelings
Your kinda left to figure it out yourself(which isn't that much of an issue, it's obvious to his S/O that he has these issues with how he acts.
It's all about how you approach it, patience is key
As you break down these walls by continuously being there for him when he needs you, when his self destructive behavior gets the better of him
And he ends up piss drunk, hung over in the winnebago, relying on you to take care of him
It with times like these his trust in you grows and the more vulnerable he allows himself to be infront of you
And at some point you'll get their with all the walls broken(for you at least, he ain't letting anyone one else see him vulnerable)
And he'll be a greedy little bastard with your love
Honestly, your love turns him into a bit of a attention whore
But that comes at the price at him being intently jealous
Since a lot of walls had to come down at this point and Murdoc is generally just a very jealous person, he doesn't react well to what he perceives as someone receiving love that is ment for him
Acts like a piss baby, and saunters over and try and take the attention away from that insignificant person and on to him
He'll try and get you away from the person in a way that probably makes him look like a total dick and or if his actions get him in trouble or he can't separate you from the person he just pouts and whines as he attempts to get your attention
Once this man has S/O's love, I don't think he could live without it
"Love could you repeat that for me?" "I love you?" "Yeah, just like that, say it again?"

Parallels as evidence for bumbleby being doomed by the narrative
Prefacing this with I LOVE BUMBLEBY and Im not saying I don’t ship them or they’re not in love, but I also love tragedies. Don’t like don’t read don’t comment.
First I want to talk about semblances. There was an obvious link drawn between Adam and Yang because they have the same semblance, only Adam doesn’t take damage from Moonslice and Yang does from Burn.
My line of thinking is that semblances represent a character’s fatal flaw. It’s the thing they need the most to make that flaw easier to deal with. Blake runs away from her problems, which she linked to her semblance in volume 2, so her semblance makes evasive fighting and quick escapes easy. Yang’s semblance is essentially taking damage over and over until it builds up inside her and she explodes in a fiery rage, and her semblance allows her to express that. Adam’s is the same thing, except he uses his sword to avoid taking damage, ie he uses his emotional reactivity as a weapon for malice and abuse while Yang uses it as an unhealthy self destructive habit.
Regardless, Yang and Adam share the same fatal flaw. That’s where the parallel is drawn between them, their shortcomings. When the emotional intensity gets too high for Blake, her instinct is to run, a habit I think she likely picked up from Adam. Blake’s runaway habits parallel with Yang’s worst trauma too - Raven. They’re both the dark brooding characters of their team represented by black who tend to run from their yellow-represented bubbly Xiao Long partners. Blake promised she wouldn’t go anywhere, but years of trauma isn’t going to undo with a death scene and a promise. It’s still in her semblance and her instinct to run away, and it’s in Yang’s to take that very, very personally.
I think this especially because Blake’s semblance (as far as I’m aware) is just the same as the start of the show, indicating no improvement of her fatal flaw. Meanwhile Ruby is a prime example of how semblances grow with the individual. As she slowed down, became tactical and responsible, she gained the ability to bring people with her when she zips around and to manipulate her body mass to pass around awkward obstacles. And while Yang’s semblance didn’t change, she changed how she used it and adapted it for a more controlled and level-headed fighting style.
Hypothetically they could work through their parallels to each other’s insecurities, but they’re in the middle of the entire world falling apart. They have to figure out how to defeat an immortal being. Their relationship so far has been hit after hit of hardships and shared trauma. While I’d love to see them get a happy ending, this is a huge thing to recover from while they’re still in crisis, and they would make the perfect tragedy. That, and I’m a sucker for interpersonal character problems paralleling with the external conflict - an immortal enemy/an inevitably tragic breakup.
(side note I can and will expand on: speaking of parallels, Ruby and Adam have romantic and positive parallels, Blake and Weiss have a crazy amount of parallels setting them up for a bigger rivalry than we’ve gotten so far, and the STRQ parallels I mentioned earlier can be extended to Summer and Qrow in favour of freezerburn)
I doubt CRWBY will ever break them up, especially in favour of freezerburn or ladybug, basically because they’ve had to fight so hard to get Blake and Yang on screen it would be such a shame to get another lesbian tragedy in the absence of those alternate ships. In theories and fanfics we trust.

(ALICIA VIKANDER, CIS WOMAN, SHE/HER) Oh, is that RACHEL SLATER? I heard they THIRTY-FOUR year old is RESILIENT. But don’t let that pretty face fool you, they are also SELF-DESTRUCTIVE. Makes sense seeing how they are a CLEAN civilian who works as a JOURNALIST. (ruby, 21+, est, she/her)
trigger warnings for alcohol abuse, pregnancy and abortion mention, depression and trauma mention
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗖𝗦.
name: rachel slater
nickname: slater
fc: alicia vikander
age: thirty-four
gender: cis woman
pronouns: she/her
sexuality: pansexual
birthplace: manhattan, ny
education: graduated from vassar with a degree in media studies
career: journalist
traits: resilient, cunning, adaptable, hedonistic, self-destructive, guilt-ridden, selfish
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗬.
father: richard slater, (retired) real estate mogul previously associated with the serpents
mother: margot slater, housewife & socialite
brother: name tbd, affiliated with the serpents
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗧.
her family is old money. her father is a real estate mogul who laundered for the serpents before he retired and moved to long island. her mother is a socialite who is superficial and status-obsessed. she also has a brother.
she grew up in a pressure-cooker household, forced to keep family secrets and meet high academic and social expectations. she faced constant criticism about her appearance, behavior, and academic performance from her parents. which was a joke bc her parents themselves were horrible people.
she did well academically, thriving(??) under pressure but developing unhealthy habits. she was the girl you'd see in the library furiously typing away with two empty coffee cups and dark circles that could rival a raccoon. if a paper was due at midnight, she submitted it at 11:59. if there was a final, you better believe she was showing up looking like she hadn’t showered or combed her hair in days. yet somehow, she always got a's. as she got older, her coping mechanisms turned much more self-destructive. drinking, chain-smoking cigarettes, and short-lived messy flings.
she was always big on writing and got into journalism after deciding to write for the school paper. since then, it’s been her passion. she wants to uncover truths, especially since she grew up surrounded by her dad’s criminal activity and corruption.
she attended vassar college and then moved to chicago.
her chicago era: [REDACTED] but i can tell you that she found herself back here at age thirty.
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗧.
she works for the daily news, reporting on crime.
she does and always has used questionable and unethical tactics to gather information like manipulating or seducing sources, misrepresenting her identity or intentions, using fake credentials, bribery, trespass, or blackmail. rachel isn’t a good person. but she’s also not an evil or malicious person. she's simply one-track-minded, telling herself the ends justify the means.
her personal life is just as messy. rachel is constantly searching for something to fill an emptiness inside of her (hint: it’s depression and trauma) and in this search, she often does impulsive, selfish shit. drunkenly sleeping with a friend's ex or boyfriend. being an irresponsible or unreliable friend. self-sabotoging. ghosting because she can't handle her emotions in a relationship. shit like that. like, before she left for chicago she ghosted her boyfriend bc she got pregnant and couldn't deal. that's rachel. a runner. an avoider. she got an abortion and has avoided him ever since.
when confronted you'd think by her attitude that she doesn't care, but then she'll duck into a bathroom and cry and down a fifth of vodka. rachel is the queen of a pity party. she truly regrets a lot of mistakes she’s made. they weigh heavy on her mind. yet she can’t seem to stop making them!!!! and even when she has good intentions, she feels like she always comes out as the bad guy in the end.
she drinks too much. frequent at any bar, regardless of gang affiliation. ivs black coffee. looks like she's allergic to a comb most of the time.
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦.
her brother. i'm putting a wc in soon but if you'd be interested hmu. not too many specifics except they don't get along, as he followed in his father's criminal footsteps
an ex-friend she fucked over
drinking buddy
the ex she ghosted after college
a source in a gang
a forbidden hookup/relationship/situationship...maybe bc they're in a gang and it'd look bad if they're seen with a journalist
someone rachel is using for information. she's leading them along in some way...friendship, sex, etc. to pump them for information
or! someone using her in some way
unlikely friendships
someone she pissed off in the past with a story
angst! drama! debauchery!

Feel Good Inc is the lead song from the second album 'Demon Days' by the band Gorillaz released on 9 May 2005. It features an American music group called De La Soul. Gorillaz is a British virtual band consisting of virtual characters- 2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs. This band was created in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett. The song is one of the best creations by the band and is ranked high at several different lists. Song Meaning At the start of the music video, we see a large city which almost looks like an industrial wasteland. Somewhere within the city, a huge tower is located which extends high up even above the clouds. The tower is the building where Feel Good Inc. is situated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyHNuVaZJ-k Inside the tower, we find that a huge party is taking place and 2-D is sitting at the chair on the stage in front of several people who have gathered to have fun listening to his music live. Murdoc Niccals is surrounded by women as he plays the guitar. Now, 2-D seems somewhat depressed and starts singing. In the lyrics he talks about how humanity is moving forward probably hinting at urbanization which leads to a lot of destruction of nature and unhealthy living for people. The people in the concert seem dazed and almost asleep probably through the influence of dr*gs or s*x. 2-D mentions how people's lives have changed a lot since the past. The fast paced modern life causes people to be stressed out for most of their day to day life. This has impacted 2-D in a profound way as he doesn't get sleep probably because he is dealing with tension all the time. Now, in the chorus he is singing about windmill. This is him reminiscing the olden times in villages where people used to live carefree and a healthy lifestyle. He is looking at Noodle who is having fun playing music on a green island floating in the air. He wishes he could be in her shoes as he is gazing from the window. I remember the beginning of the formation of 'Feel Good. Inc.' quite clearly. I had a beat that was a little bit '80s, very upbeat. But maybe halfway through, my attention wandered. I played something more acoustic, just something that reminded me of the countryside. So I wrote down some keywords to help with the lyrical imagery. 'Windmill' was one of them. It was a trigger to symbolize a different time and also a reference to the 'dark, satanic mills' that William Blake wrote about in his verse of 'Jerusalem.' I remember that it all started when I was reading the ingredients off the back of a [potato chip] packet. The windmill imagery line is a representation of a note of optimism, a memory of a simpler time. Uh, like maybe, a snapshot of an older world, more innocent. Noodle on Feel Good Inc Then De La Soul enters the scene where the rapper is singing about controlling the artists and using them to make money. De La Soul is probably the head of Feel Good Inc corporate where they use artists to create music for the company. He is singing play these ponies at the track, its my chocolate attack. This could refer to how the company is using music almost like a weapon to make money or influence their customers in some way. The rapper is the leader who is actually revealing his tactics. 2-D has no choice but to follow what the leader is telling him to do. The windmill appears again and noodle is blissfully playing music with her guitar. The helicopters enter the scene where they are chasing the land mass floating in the air. This is perhaps referring to industrialists wanting to capitalize on the free land that they can obtain for themselves. El Manana is a continuation of the Feel Good Inc music video where in the helicopters start attacking noodle firing bullets at her. Meanwhile, 2-D keeps repeating Feel Good in order to make himself feel as if he is fine. This is probably an attempt to help him escape the depressing situation he is put in. So, that is the story behind the song in my opinion.

The Girls & How They Cope W/ Stress/Anxiety
!Warning: Mentions of unhealthy coping tactics(I do not condone nor encourage extreme unhealth, self-destructive tactics)!
I guess I just wanted to cover this topic as a way of spreading awareness of mental health and the struggles some face when looking for ways to help with anxieties and stress. I myself recently have been struggling with my anxiety as it just seems when I finally stop one bad habit I pick up another one. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health and it's never just easy to just cope with such in a healthy manner. It's okay to feel sad and it's okay to not smile when you feel that you can't, I just ask that you be kinder to yourself and know that you are loved <3
Genova:
Fidget/Anxiety rings: Our girl is just about a constant anxious individual so this would be one of the easiest things to have on hand since she would usually bite her nails, as she tries not to be self-destructive not wanting to trigger her curse. So because she utilizes weapons to cast magic, each one is a piece of jewelry so probably a few would be contained in the rings, talk about a multipurpose tool
Star gazing: As her hobby it’s just nice to just relax after a long day and just do something she truly enjoys doing and kind of forget about the day’s troubles; the cool breeze and the beautiful sight of the stars and night sky is just rather soothing and a sense of security
Tea time w/ papa Merkulova: Genova knows she can go talk to her roommate or her friends if she needs to just get something off her chest; however, there are times that her anxiety just prevents her from being comfortable enough to voice how she’s feeling or thinking. So she’ll go to Merkulova and they’d talk about how she’s feeling over tea and some baked goods until she felt better
Aphrodite:
Shopping/Clothes making: This is gonna sound so stereotypical but shopping or even just working on her clothes line helps her relax. Thinking of every detail down to material and color helps her not focus on the things that are bothering her
Rants to Elias: Like of course she’ll rant to her roommate or even her familiar Sheba, but of course her childhood friend is the voice of reason between the two of them. She could be talking about wanting to punch a guy in the throat for leading on one of her friends, but Elias is a great person to talk to. Not only does he validate her feelings and the like, he will provide her with more… Nonviolent alternatives of how to go about resolving things but there are times she will still choose violence (since a lot of her stresses are more social groups/friends based rather than academic)
Lash out: It isn’t like she does this on purpose, but there are just days where her fuse is very short for what she can tolerate. After-all she’s the bully who bullies the other bullies, but if she’s just having one of those days she can be rather harsh to others; if someone near her was possibly breathing too loud she’d tell the individual to shut their mouth. BUT of course when all comes to pass and she’s recollect herself she will certainly go and apologize along with a small gift possibly (unless they did something wrong to have it coming to them then she ain’t apologizing)
Kaiser:
Fighting: Let’s be real here, there isn’t a moment when this woman isn’t stressed or just a tad anxious (Though she never lets it show) and generally just like any other time she will choose violence. Well it depends on the type of day she’s having cuz she could either verbally be aggressive or she will wanna punch someone in the face; will it be Vincent? Maybe, strangely he sees it as a sparring opportunity
Playing with Jade: Jade is pretty much Kaiser’s emotional support pet. This serval cat loves her human and though she may not have been around as long as Fang has been, Jade is very loyal and always there when she senses that Kaiser needs her. Watching Jade trying to catch the dangling feather can be quite entertaining (honestly this is the most/only healthy way of Kaiser coping)
Substance: Though this isn’t her first choice all the time (it really depends on the day she’s had/been having) she probably would drink a little or even smoke/vape pot (maybe in the past has done other drugs but Kaiser ain’t stupid as she ain’t trying to have a ruined life again)
Lizette:
Fidget/Anxiety ring: She’s very expressive with her hands when she talks but otherwise going about her day her hands never just stay still. The prefect crew can be a bit on the stressful side with all that they do *cough* talkin bout you Zeus *cough* or even if she’s doing something for the ministry; she’s just the daughter of the boss is all, ya know no pressure right? She’d probably wear a few as aside from being really cute, they can keep her hand fidgeting to a minimum
Blowing things up: This is the glitter queen after all; though don’t worry it won’t be around the academy, don’t need to get in any trouble again :). Definitely refers to these times as field testing and it just helps her decompress; it’s like a rage room, but it’s just an open field with her doing target practice with her glitter bombs
Napping with animals: She definitely needs sleep. Especially if she’s been running on just an absurd amount of coffee and whatever easy foods she’s been eating. Aside from having Rufus with her, she will… “borrow” her friends’ familiars as well (that includes you niddhog). She really likes napping in the north valley or even a nice quiet area near the lake; though there might have been a few times she’s fallen asleep on the academy rooftop. It’s kind of like having a weighted blanket, but you can cuddle them
Akemi:
Eating/Less eating: It’s common to see the night classes little sunshine eating snacks or fruit since she gotta keep her strength up (especially after using her magic). Generally she’s always happy, but in the moments where she’s feeling kind of down or if she stresses that she thinks she might have upset someone she would probably eat more often throughout the day or even possibly eat less/skip meals
Cuddles/Affection: The top thing that will make her feel happy again is getting hugs or just snuggling will do the trick. It’s a common sight to see mainly either Viggo or Zeus carrying a sleeping Akemi in one arm
Lip biting: Generally this one she does absentmindedly as usually it’s more noticeable of being due to stress or anxiety when it looks like her bottom lip looks all busted and chapped.
Fay:
Reading: Seldom does she feel stressed, Fay is one of the calmest individuals you’ll ever have met. As when she is feeling a little stressed she’ll read one of her favorite books, maybe one of the ones that are more on the light hearted side.
Journaling: This is probably the main thing that has kept her stresses/anxieties to a minimum since she’s been doing this for so long. Fay doesn’t speak with many of the other night class students so it’s easier/simpler for her to write things downs (but also there isn’t concern of anyone telling others her business)
Isolation: The only time she mainly isolates herself from everyone is when the new moon is coming. Like how Yukiya was with the full moon, but only it's during the new moon and she turns into a yokai. So of course there are some worries that someone will manage to get through all the seals and charms she’s had set up around the door; though there hasn’t been an incident of that happening, but it’s still a fear that it could possibly happen

Tony Stark, The Villain Factory
I've been wanting to talk about this for a while now, and with my finals slowly coming to a close, I can procrastinate juuusst long enough to make this post.
For a very long time there has been this trend of talking about how Tony Stark creates his own villains (and even villains for others). Even people who love his character include this in their arguments, how his character arc is defined by him attempting to rectify his past actions. His own trilogy is connected by this need of bettering himself, and that starts with fixing his mistakes and protecting the ones he loves. This change from playboy rich kid to savior of the universe is what makes him so interesting to some compared to a character like Steve Rogers, his foil.
Steve Rogers is supposed to personify good, even from the start he is defined by what is to be seen as an all encompassing selfless nature. He does good, good things come from it, he is rewarded, rinsed and repeated. He is rarely told no, because to his credit, he usually is right when it comes to what is morally correct. Since Steve Rogers starts as the good, he has nowhere to grow outside of this narrative, and is constantly surrounded by yes men. He is charismatic in a golden boy type way, America's golden boy. He isn't used to being told no, and on the off chance that he is incorrect, whether fully or partially, he is unwilling to listen to another perspective.
Of course, as previously mentioned, he is usually correct. Key word: usually. So, on the few occasions he is wrong, he is unable to grasp the concept of compromise. He has a very black and white view of the world, and he fully believes that he is always in the white.
Tony Stark, on the other hand, has a different perspective.
Oftentimes, Tony has a very negative self image of himself and his impact on the world. It's easy to forget that it wasn't him who built his empire, but his father. The comics go further in depth with his relationship with the late Howard Stark, but unfortunately the movies attempted to mellow the man out, and even redeem him slightly in later movies (see: Endgame).
In short, at his best, Howard was incredibly dismissive and harsh with his son, and at his worst downright abusive. Tony was essentially groomed to take over a company which was already responsible for providing weapons that slaughtered thousands, profiting from war and destruction. His morality started at a deficit, in the eyes of the characters, the audience, and even to himself.
Unlike Steve, who is supposed to represent two sides of the same coin when it comes to dual roles, both as Steve Rogers the soldier and Captain America the hero, Tony Stark asks the question- "Can a hero do good despite the evil his alter ego has committed?"
Tony essentially has to work against a legacy that he didn't start, a life he was groomed into, and the consequences of his unhealthy coping mechanisms. With that, the main point of this post- why I think the statement "Tony Stark is responsible for his (and others) villains" is (mostly) utter bullshit.
In order to do this, we first need to define what being responsible means. This is important, because if you just define responsible as “connected with,” it muddles down the severity of the action.
What makes someone responsible?
Responsible means being the primary cause of something and so able to be blamed or credited for it.
The word primary is the most important here, as well as understanding that a character being angry at Tony does not equate him being responsible for their actions. This is a common tactic used to victim-blame, that person A did something to either upset or provoke person B, making person A responsible for person B’s actions.
In order for Tony Stark to be responsible for a villain, he had to directly cause an action to take place, which then created the villain in question. He also has to be the primary cause of said action, and not just a vessel for the anger of someone who feels like they’ve been wronged and are using him as a metaphorical punching bag.
Now, let us move down the list of the villains he is known for creating, and count the ones he's actually responsible for.
Ready?
Obadiah Stane & The 10 Rings: Iron Man was the catalyst for the MCU, and the first hero (disregarding the current multiverse storyline) to hit the big screen. With it, the introduction to the first villain. The 10 Rings existed with or without Tony's presence, seeing as Howard created the company and Obadiah both oversaw its business before Tony took over in the mid to late nineties, and was the one who was working with Raza. I've seen the argument that since Stark Industries provided the weapons he is to blame for their actions, and although that's the feeling Tony has, it is factually incorrect. Stane was the one dealing under the table, not Tony- who finds out only after his kidnapping and through Christine Everheart. Let me make this point clear now.
Tony was only aware of his supplying of weapons to the American Government and Armed forces.
This will come into play again later down the line. Was it his responsibility to know what was going on in his own company that had his name on it? Absolutely- but I would also argue he had no reason to be aware of Obadiah and what he was doing behind his back. This man was supposed to be a father figure to him, a mentor- a friend of his parents and the man who guided him when they died. We never hear mention of other family, so it wouldn't be a jump to assume that Obadiah was all he had left. Jarvis (the real person) could have potentially been still alive, but even so- he definitely is not at the start of the movie.
Tony is not responsible for Obadiah's actions. He was betrayed, stabbed in the back, and almost killed by the man who he was supposed to trust. He (literally) had his heart ripped out by him. Stane's motivation is power and greed, a desire to take control of Stark Industries and all that would give him. He was angry at Tony, sure, but the only thing we saw Tony do that directly caused him to be angry was shutting down the weapons division of the company.
Tony, 1/3rd of the way into his first movie, has already started his journey towards redemption, is already trying to fix the pain he thinks he helped create- and Stane wanted to reverse it.
Also this movie ends with him sacrificing himself to make sure Stane doesn’t win and continue to hurt others- making the later jabs at him weak and not as meaningful.
0/2 so far on created villains.
Whiplash and Hammer:
This one is going to be quick.
Venko was angry at Tony because of something his father did, plain and simple.
Hammer was a competitor of Tony’s, we see multiple times throughout the movie that his work is not to the same standard. His attempt to recreate the Iron Man suit almost kills a man, his greatest weapons used by Rhodey fail, and he is overall portrayed to be a slimy individual. His bitterness towards his inadequacy is not Tony’s responsibility, Tony is not at fault for the anger of others when all he did was provide better work. It’s easy to victim-blame him in this situation because of his erratic behavior throughout this movie, but that was fueled by the fact that he was actively dying and had no bearing on Hammer’s or Venko’s actions.
0/4 responsible so far.
Aldrich Killian: Out of the entire trilogy, this is the only villain I would attribute to Tony.
Sort of.
Tony was a drunk asshole. Tony left him out on the roof. Tony upset him, and was overall a dick. I’m not going to spend that much time arguing whether someone pulling a dick move is enough to justify mass death and inhumane experimentation- because that isn’t the question here.
(If you want my opinion, no- because if I threw my sprite at a random dude who was having a bad day, and he later killed a bunch of people and cited me as the cause, I wouldn’t be convicted as even an accesory to murder.)
Still, Tony’s direct action = Killian working with Maya and creating extremis. This is different to Hammer, where Tony didn’t directly do anything other than be better at his job. It might have led to a similar outcome, but didn’t come from the same place. I’ll give it a .5, but I don’t fully agree.
0.5/5
Ultron: This one is probably the most talked about in the MCU. Let me be clear, this is a point, I’m not arguing against that-my problem is people like to pretend he is solely responsible for Ultron.
I’m going to outline the timeline of Ultron (the bot, not the film).
-Aliens invade and destroy New York, and the Avengers are tasked with defeating them.
-The government attempts to drop a nuke, which Iron Man intercepts and directs into the wormhole, essentially sacrificing himself. While he is in the wormhole, he sees what they are up against.
-After nearly dying in space, he returns with severe PTSD. Iron Man 3 shows how much the whole experience affected him, how he didn’t sleep, obsessed over the suits, over protecting the world. He develops an anxiety disorder because of it.
-He comes up with the concept of Ultron but scraps the idea.
-While fighting a Hydra base, Wanda Maximoff, who knew (as stated in the movie by Wanda herself) that she could manipulate Tony into creating something (she did not know what at the time) that would lead to his destruction.
-She manipulates his mind and triggers his severe PTSD, which outlines his biggest fears.
-He then takes the scepter and, after consulting Bruce Banner, uses it to create Ultron. They work on it together, but do not complete it, the super bot had not been completed and was still in progress at the time of the party.
People like to say Bruce was forced into working on Ultron, he was not. He was apprehensive, yes- but he is a grown adult that has seven Phd’s, he can damn well think for himself.
Neither Bruce nor Tony had the intention for it to turn evil, it was supposed to help humanity- not destroy it. The sick truth of it all is that Tony was right. As seen in Infinity War, something big was coming, and they weren’t prepared. Ultron was a failure, but the intention behind it was just and good.
Wanda Maximoff, on the other hand, also an adult woman at the time, intended for destruction, regardless of who it hurt. She, on the flip side, did not know of Ultron, but wanted something that would destroy, for the sole reason of being angry at Tony Stark. We know that at this point she had no care for anyone other than herself and her brother, she even used the Hulk to attack a town as a distraction, something that was devastating for Bruce. If you watch the movie, her face after she whammied Stark at the beginning is sinister. She has the biggest smile on her face when she realizes that her actions were going to lead to something big.
Tony Stark was partially responsible, yes- responsible enough that Ultron brings the score to 1.5/6 . Still, absolving Bruce’s, and much more importantly, Wanda’s contributions is absolutely not ok.
Which nicely leads to our next villains-
Wanda and Pietro Maximoff: Yes, they started off as bad guys. Yes, people will take every opportunity to blame Tony Stark for something. Let me first state something that should be obvious:
Tony Stark was not responsible for the death of their parents.
That’s it.
(Ok that’s not it, I have more to say)
The twin’s parents were killed when they were 10 years old, meaning they died in 1999. The Novi Grad bombings were conducted by the American Air force, which Stark Industry provided with weapons. Still, and I can not stress this enough, the manufacturer is not responsible for the acts of the user.
If you’re angry that Tony was working for the military, then I’m sorry to tell you, but there are a lot of MCU characters that work for the military. He did not orchestrate the bombings, he did not make descisions on what the government would do in Sokovia, he did not provide his weapons illegally.
HE DID NOT CREATE STARK INDUSTRIES. HE BARELY OVERSAW THE DAMN COMPANY BETWEEN HIS FATHER AND OBADIAH. THERE WERE MULTIPLE SHAREHOLDERS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, MEMBERS OF THE COMPANY THAT ALL HAD A SAY.  WHEN HE SAW THE PAIN AND DESTRUCTION THAT WAS HIS FATHER’S LEGACY, HE IMMEDIATELY SHUT IT DOWN.
We even see in the first Iron Man how much power Obidiah had, how he was able to shut him out of the company when he did anything outside of what Stane wanted. Tony mostly kept to himself even when he was CEO, and Stane was the one shown to make the big choices. The company's connection to the United States military wasn’t even started by Tony, but by his father.  When he was exposed to the destruction and went to shut it all down and stop the manufacturing of his weapons, pretty much everyone was angry at him. Stane and Rhodey are never blamed for the deaths of Wanda’s parents, even so their connection and desire to continue working with the military after Tony’s ordeal is even more significant.
Even if it was Tony who directly made the sale, something which again, was established by his father and continued by Stane, it still would not make him responsible.
See previous point: The manufacturer is not responsible for the acts of the user.
This is probably the point, besides Ultron, that the most amount of people will argue with me over.
1.5/8
Vulture: There's a very popular idea that Tony Stark is responsible for all of Spider-Man’s villains. The DOC was established as a way to rectify the damage caused by the attack on New York in 2012. Since it was all funded by Tony Stark, he is the one connected to the project. I’ve seen a lot of Tony stan’s use this as an argument for Tony, saying he is the only Avenger who cared about New York after the attack.
I am not making that argument.
As much as I love him, I think it’s unfair to accuse the other Avengers of not caring. We have no proof that they didn’t help in any way after the attacks. Unlike Tony, none of them have the money, nor the resources to fund an endeavor such as a complete reconstruction and clean up of a city such as New York.
Now, that isn’t to undermine Tony’s charitable actions: in the real world, not every billionaire contributes to events such as this one. Even when they do, there is a close to zero probability that they would fund the entire thing. We see how Tony uses his money to help in multiple situations, not only funding the Avengers themselves, but doing things such as buying a building the Hulk was about to destroy in Age of Ultron.
If there wasn’t a billionaire on the team, or Tony, who you could argue did his part by almost getting himself killed getting a missile away from the city, did not contribute his own money, that burden would fall on to the government.
In short, we see his contributions through the eyes of the villain, who is attributing his loss to the man responsible for not only saving the lives of countless others, but funding the effort to clean up a mess the Avengers didn’t create.
This is another example of Person A being wronged by someone, attributing it to Tony, and then using that hate to justify their actions.
You can not tell me that Tony was in the wrong for providing resources to aid in the reconstruction of a city he almost gave his life for.
The DOC even told Toomes he could reach out and complain, and with everything else we have no reason to believe Tony wouldn’t have compensated Toomes and his crew. If there was a scene where he made the attempt and Tony denied him, then you could potentially make the argument that he was the cause.
1.5/9
Mysterio: This one hurts me to even entertain.
Quentin Beck, a person who worked for Tony Stark, was angry that an invention that he worked on while under contract for Stark Industries, was taken, repurposed for use in therapy, and named B.A.R.F.
Let’s break this down.
We don’t know how much of B.A.R.F was actually Beck’s doing, since we know that his recollection of events was incorrect. A prime example of this is shown through the flashback in FFH, where on stage at Tony's joke about the name, there was a lot of laughter coming from the audience.
In the actual scene which we see in Civil War, no one is laughing. It is either a blatant lie or a fabricated memory.
Even if Beck was a major part in the project, he still created it for Stark Industries, which, approximately seven years prior to Civil War, shut down their weapons division.
Beck was angry that the company didn’t want to use it as a weapon.
This is a decision which would also probably be pushed through to the CEO, which by this time, is not Tony Stark, but Pepper Potts. We see in Iron Man three that she is the one making the big choices, probably in collaboration with members of the board alongside Tony Stark himself. There is a possibility that Tony himself didn’t even fire him, and that this is yet another example of name attribution, but that of course, is merely speculation.
Beck says he was fired for being “erratic”- I do not doubt this, considering how he acts in FFH. He is constantly yelling and threatening his coworkers when he doesn’t get his way.
The crew alongside him are also portrayed to be wronged by Tony, including a man named William Ginter Riva. He is the guy everyone knows from this classic interaction with Stane:
"Tony Stark was able to build this in a cave! With a box of scraps!"
"Well, I'm sorry. I'm not Tony Stark."
This is the reason Riva is shown to be angry at Tony, because Obidiah yelled at him. Not Tony himself, but Stane. Just another example of people being angry at Stane, but attributing that anger to Tony.
The group is upset that Tony left Peter Edith instead of them- why would Tony leave Edith to a random bunch of employees, some of which were even fired or had left the company?
Their motivation makes no sense, is unhinged, and is no way the responsibility of Tony Stark.
1.5/10
To conclude, Tony is responsible for 1.5/10 of the villains people accuse him of being responsible for.
That’s 15%, and that’s not even taking into account the rest of the villains in the MCU that he has nothing to do with
A rough count (that i'm low balling) is approximately 40 villains in the MCU. 1.5/40 is 3.75%.
“But he still antagonized/motivated/upset them!”
So has every hero in every movie ever. So has a lot of victims of crimes, that is not an excuse for these people to hurt Tony, his loved ones, or any one else they so please.

Note
you know pros are seething about graylu when they're 'best' arguements against it is that it would be 'boring'. The insecurity runs deeps because they know deep down lucy could've worked just as well with gray. Graylu intimidates them so much to the point where they NEED to prove that they mean nothing to each other and that gray is 'much closer' to other people. They've also stated that shipping the two together would be 'incest'.
Bad Arguments Against GraLu
Yeaaah, "boring" is a really bad argument when the counter argument is that gr///via is toxic. Do they really want to answer the question "would you rather have a vanilla romance, or would you rather have a toxic one?" with "I'd take toxic, unhealthy, and destructive any day of the week"??
I'm also wondering exactly what part about Gray's and Lucy's relationship or potential romance is particularly boring. Is it just because they're friends? Can friends-to-lovers never be interesting? Would we rather have abuser-and-victim-to-lovers with juvia? Apparently some people say yes.
I think the most interesting relationships are when both sides are falling for each other over a period of time. This is of course subjective, but I personally hate romances where one side is already madly in love, because then from a story-telling perspective, only one person has to do any work (i.e. has to go through the emotional changes in order to accommodate the other), and it's really boring to me because it's basically half the action that could be happening (It's pretty hard to articulate this, so I hope it makes sense to y'all).
Plus, I personally don't find GraLu to be boring because of their immense chemistry with each other, and not just romantic chemistry! They're such close friends, and they're always 100% real with each other, which is absolute hilarious to watch.
Of course, how much a ship entertains someone is up to the individual since it can be pretty subjective. However, that just further proves that the boring argument is bad because maybe it's boring to them, but what about the rest of the sizeable GraLu fandom?
I concur that the ones who keep blasting GraLu are probably insecure, and I really like how you mentioned that they actually do know that Lucy would've worked well with Gray because I completely agree. As I've said in other posts, if the gr///vians were secure and confident in their ship, then they wouldn't care about other ships even if they clashed with theirs. However, Gray and Lucy have such fabulous chemistry that in order to make their gr///via ship seem valid and "the best", they have to tear down GraLu just so they can feel assured in their pairing.
It's pretty sad to see.
They're definitely way too intimidated by GraLu, but you know what, they're rightfully intimidated by it because it just is that awesome of a ship, and it's so much better than gr///via (I think it's safe to say GraLu is just objectively better than gr///via even if you only look at the healthiness of the ship for both parties).
And, my word, Pros, ok, the "inc*st" comments really need to stop.
At this point, they're just using revolting language to describe GraLu so that other people will have the same reaction to it. It's such a low blow and an underhanded tactic to make people associate GraLu with inc*st. Gray and Lucy are actually not related, and the discussion of "inc*st" should die as soon as it’s faced with that fact.
Just because people "act like siblings" (and who are they to decide just how siblings act? Siblings act differently for every family) doesn't mean they're related, and therefore that doesn’t mean that they can't have chemistry and date. Sure, some siblings act like best friends with each other, but if two people aren't related and act like that, then why can't they just be viewed as best friends? I believe Gray and Lucy act like best friends, and that's one of the biggest contributing factors to why I like to ship them; their relationship is so fun and honest.
I guess it's subjective as to whether people view two people as being more sibling-like or more best friend material, since for me, I view Gray and Erza being more sibling-like because of how much Erza beats Gray up and scares him (and I don't like the power imbalance that there would be if Grayza was a thing, since I believe romantic relationships should be on equal footing, while siblings don't necessarily have to be that way thanks to age hierarchy and how they grow up already having to look up to the oldest), but I'd never say that Grayza would be "inc*st" just because of my personal opinions on how they act. That would just be plain wrong and would be trying to demonize the Grayza shippers unjustly.
Anyway, thank you very much for sharing your thoughts, Anon! Loved reading them.

Headcanons for Goku x F!Saiyan Time Patroller Reader Pt. 2
Tumblr media
In a relationship
The line between what excites Goku in battle and what turns him on about her blurs after they establish their relationship. Sparring with her becomes like foreplay most days that ends with just one thing on their minds.
Two thing if they haven’t eaten yet.
Speaking of eating, the most cooking Goku can do is roast fish or meats over an open fire or put together some stews incorporating the two with some vegetables and that’s about it. When it comes to cooking, depending on the Time Patroller’s skill, she may make majority of the meals. If the Time Patroller is a saiyan who was raised on Planet Vegeta, then her cooking skills are pretty basic if not equal to that of Goku’s and doesn’t know how to do much of anything that doesn’t involve roasting over a fire or settling for some dehydrated food bars (Goku doesn’t care for the flavor of them, but will still eat them). Thank goodness for restaurants in Conton City with bountiful foods to try.
They try to be careful about bringing up being hungry or mentioning food around Supreme Kai of Time lest she jump at the chance to cook a meal for either of them.
Sharing meals is the best downtime for their bonding between training and going out on missions. They enjoy trying new foods from different planets said to be the most delicious in the universe! Goku then gets recommendations from Whis and Beerus to share with her so they can try together, though Whis often pushes for the earth food equivalent for most foods.
Because of their trust in Goku, she is easily welcomed in by the other Z warriors. It’s the first time they got to meet a female saiyan without it being a threat to their planet or universe. Bonus points if she’s a saiyan from universe 7, but don’t expect to not be challenged to a spar with Vegeta or Trunks. Strangely enough, it is Majin Buu and Uub she gets along with the most. Goku enjoys to see his new lover get along so well with his friends, he knows that she works hard to save them and fight alongside them in Time Patrols that she never really had a chance to get to know them as people.
Supreme Kai of Time openly roots for the relationship! Trunks doesn’t see anything wrong with it, but has some concerns with what that could do to the timeline. The Old Kai downright thinks it’s bad for the timeline and unhealthy for the job considering both of their positions (though he is quick to change the subject when Goku or the TP bring up his lecherous behavior to the other women in the Time Patrol)
Goku is overly excited about actively joining her on missions that he almost forgets it’s not his place to finish the destined battles or “do things differently” just because he is strong enough to. It pains him deeply to have to relive moments in history where he watches his friends die or the Earth be destroyed. Some missions they have to make sure these events happen and there is nothing he can do about fixing it as it may disrupt the flow of time. The Time Patroller tries to comfort him with more pleasant adventures following the harder missions. (ex: crashing Bulma’s birthday parties in disguise or visiting the history where he was still living with his Grandpa) or reminding him because such things happened, everyone is stronger now for it.
The Time Patroller once took Goku on a mission to Planet Vegeta prior to it’s destruction where she pointed out a crew of saiyans to him, one bearing his likeness and signature hair but with a scar on his cheek and a fierce stare. This lead to an interesting and long overdue meeting back in Conton City. Another version of said saiyan who was also training warriors in the Time Patrol. It didn’t take much for Goku to accept the man was his father, Bardock. He was admittedly wary considering how his first meeting with Raditz went, but after a spar between father and son it was like old friends had found each other again to which Goku thanks her greatly for reuniting him with his father.
TP often has to save Tokitoki from Goku as he likes to play with the bird a little too much for it’s liking. It’s cute, but Tokitoki doesn’t care for that much rowdy attention, but has developed a habit of perching on Goku’s head or shoulder. He completely avoids Goku if he’s preparing to lay an egg.
Goku’s attempts, under the assumption everyone in Conton City is there on passive, unselfish terms, to make bygones with his former enemies often leads to TP having to prevent fights breaking out in the city (Especially with Cell, Cooler, and Frieza). Sometimes it’s hard to tell if he is actually trying to make friends or goad them on for a real fight much to her stress. Strangely enough, he has been able to make some semblance of good terms with Captain Ginyu.
NSFW
Goku’s strongest learning tools are his eyes and his hands. It doesn’t take him long to learn what his partner likes and how to bring her over the edge. The first time he witnesses her orgasm, it excited another side of himself he had not felt since the first time he went Super Saiyan. He needed to feel her do that around him again.
Sex between saiyans can start slow but it’s going to end rough.
He knows his goal, but tends to lose himself in the process getting there and gets rough without realizing it.
He likes to switch up the dynamic between the two of them and really enjoys being dominated over by her. At least until his body acts on it’s own and its not until the high of his orgasm passes does he find he’s either pinned her down to the surface or locked her against him with his arms, trapped to be filled by him.
Variations of missionary are his favorite positions when he’s feeling affectionate, but any position where he can grasp her hips and guide her body into his satisfies him just fine.
There was one time the TP used Ginyu’s body change technique on Goku, leading to a vastly different experience in the bedroom. She lost control too much in his body and found it difficult to control his power by the overwhelming sensation while poor Goku was left overstimulated and discovered just how sensitive a body really could be. They liked it, but it would be a long time before trying it again.
Super Saiyan sexytime happens, especially after training or even following some playful wrestling.
There aren’t a lot of hidden or secret places in Conton City, but the two have managed to find a few for quickies. The large hoard of parts behind Supreme Kai of Time’s home in the Time Nest makes for a nice spot if one is quiet enough.(Plot twist, Goku is not)
She has come to learn it is not wise to tease Goku as he is naturally learning and retaining the experiences every step of the way. He will never be fooled twice by the same sly tactic to arouse him unless he wanted to be and enjoyed it the first time, but the second time will come with a price. He won’t play fairly if he suspects she isn’t either. Goku likes the thrill of the game of chicken and who will cave into the other first knowing it will end with the both of them satisfied makes him treat teasing her like training a new technique. Careful, he will get bold and start suppressing her with his strength in order to win their game. All is fair in love and war, after all.
Goku doesn’t have a particularly high sex drive and like most things outside of training and eating, the idea of sex can get pushed to the back of his mind. However, when he does feel aroused it can completely consume him and depending on how much he wants it will depend on how submissive or eager he will behave for her.
Saiyans always feel the most aroused on full moon nights. It’s always sunny in Conton City, so when travelling Goku and TP can become very sensitive to the blutz waves emitted by a full moon ( the bigger the moon, the bigger the arousal). While Goku can no longer become a great ape, he will certainly romp with the appetite of one at night when exposed. Same for the TP, though she may be better at controlling herself depending on whether or not she has a tail(and has trained it’s sensitivity as well). Either way, they’re in for a long, rough night.♥

Dream SMP Fusion AU:
Certainly not me thinking about a Steven Universe AU for Dream SMP because fusions
Also, just to note: Not all fusions are for romantic relationships, so please no shipping since many of the creators are uncomfortable with that. The one somewhat romantic relationship fusion mentioned is between the characters Schlatt and Quackity, and are the only ones classified as such for the lore and story already created - I do not ship them whatsoever. Thank you.
Also, feel free to use these ideas with credit!
TW: Abusive Relationship, Toxic Realtionship, manipulation.
So like, what if during the L’manburg Independence War L’manburg was the only ones who really fused with each other, and the Dream SMP just never really thought it was useful and therefore didn’t really use it all that much for battle, pvp, etc.
They discovered fusion one day while building the wall when a bit of debris was about to fall on Fundy and Wilbur swooped in to save him, and suddenly... a whole completely different person stood in their place. It didn’t last very long, but Wilbur from then on was determined to learn all he could about it and understand it.
Wilbur couldn’t seem to explain his findings much scientifically, but he wrote up a journal on all he learned - how the fusion seems to combine and showcase the best parts of each individual person.
An iconic Steven Universe Scene takes place (For you SU fans, when Smoky Quartz first came to be) when Tommy in a effort to get his discs back one day tries to take Dream head on, pushing away Tubbo’s help. Tommy gets throughly beat up by Dream and in a heartfelt moment Tommy tells Tubbo that no matter what he does Dream will always win against him because he’s not strong enough. Then, Tubbo says that that’s not true, that Tommy doesn’t have to be like Dream, if anything Tommy’s like him because they both aren’t like anybody else, and it sucks, but they have each other. Finally Tommy accepts Tubbo’s help as they fuse for the first time.
Eret and Niki fused once while hanging out and dancing one day, which led Wilbur to discover how to trigger the fusion in a more controlled manner - through dancing.
The war happens with the revolution holding better against Dream and his posse for the short fact that they had fusion on their side - they weren’t totally confident in the ability yet, which lead to some close calls to unfusing at the wrong time, but a few prominent fusions came out of it. In the end, they won and Wilbur continued to write his findings in the journal.
The election came about, and with it the exile of Wilbur and Tommy - this time the two were on the receiving end of fighting with fusions.
Wilbur even suggested on fusing together for survival - together they were more combat skilled, and better focused. After all, there was lesser chance of hurting one target than there was two. So, for a while they stayed together, at least, until Technoblade came to help.
Techno was very awkward at the whole fusion thing - it seemed stupid, and the poor pig hybrid didn’t exactly dance very well, though he was often too embarrassed to admit it. Techno didn’t understand how his two brothers could fuse so easily while he just... couldn’t. (I’m imagining Wilbur coaching him in Pogtopia while Tommy has to wear paint cans in order to each his height)
While out together, the sight of Tubbo causes Wilbur and Tommy to become so distressed they unfuse as Tubbo tells them he wants to help, and becomes their spy.
Back in Manburg, a certain goat hybrid finds Wilbur’s fusion journal and does some light reading. Schlatt thinks that he needs fusion soldiers to fight for him - from what he’s reading, these fusions are practically unstoppable. If he were to have that kind of power at his disposal, no one could stop him.
Being the ‘selfless’ leader he is, he uses himself as a test subject as he fuses with his militia - Punz, Ponk...
Quackity at first makes fun of his attempts as always within five minutes the fusion quickly falls apart. This only pisses of Schlatt more, until he comes up with an idea.
He confronts Fundy and tells him that if he was loyal to Manburg, and their desires aligned, they’d be able to fuse no problem. Fundy agrees and they become the first completed fusion in Manburg - Fundy only does it because he wants to keep suspicion low and his cover a secret, and it somehow works. Schlatt doesn’t question Fundy much after that.
As the festival gets planned Schlatt continues his tactic of sniffing out traitors through fusion, which does not bode well for Tubbo, who keeps narrowly escaping having to fuse (Looking at the ‘I’m pregnant’ excuse-).
Back in Pogtopia, tensions rise as Wilbur and Tommy become more and more distant as Wilbur plans to blow up Manburg during the festival.
Festival happens, not much really changes except Schlatt tries to get Niki to fuse with him to prove she wasn’t a traitor and not get killed like Tubbo - Wilbur overhears and intervenes, running away with Niki back to Pogtopia, fusing with her to help both of them escape.
When Quackity tries to leave, Schlatt forces him to fuse to stop the traitor from escaping, and for the first time, the two get trapped in a mixed up mess of a fusion - nothing is combined of the two, it’s all a mish mashed up mess - thankfully they aren’t fused for long and Quackity escapes, but both have the feeling of agony, sorrow and pain of the forced fusion in their minds.
They take back L’manburg with some awesome fusion v fusion fights.
In a last attempt to keep from dying, Schlatt forces Quackity to fuse with him again in exchange that he release Tubbo, who was on his last cannon life (Schlatt held up a knife to his throat.) Once again, Quackity is trapped down in the painful and dark abyss as their fusion makes mass destruction. Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo, and Techno all fuse to take  the unstable fusion down.
They succeed in doing so, fatally wounding Schlatt enough to corner him, the stress, drugs, and alcohol combing into a panic attack and he dies.
From there, things proceed as normal - Techno releases the Withers, Wilbur pushes the button.
New L’manburg is thriving with Tubbo as the new president... everyone can finally be who they want to be - wounds of course are still healing.
Quackity talks with Tubbo about his bad experience with Schlatt, and Tubbo is there to listen and always tells him that he doesn’t have to fuse if he doesn’t want to... of course fusion can be helpful (Some fusions have been helping repair the TNT and Wither damage) but, Tubbo insists, you don’t have to fuse to be able to help.
Ranboo gets a crash course in fusion basics by Phil and Ghostbur. (It’s like gem classroom, it’s all so cute guys-)
Phil also helps out Fundy who’s still iffy about Wilbur and all that he did for him... namely, fusing with Schlatt to avoid suspicion. It’s all wholesome and sweet, even with Ghostbur and his failed attempts to help in the background.
Things play out as normal in terms of plot - Techno retires, Tommy gets exiled...
Dream, at first, is very committed to blowing up Tommy’s stuff - one day, he says he won’t do it only if Tommy fuses with him, because he’s curious in how it works.
This turns straight up unhealthy during the Beach Party when Tommy remembers all the times he used to have and how he feels so lonely, and Dream tells him that he’s always gonna be there for him even if they don’t, which results in Tommy and Dream fusing for a while whenever he comes to visit so Tommy won’t feel as lonely or as depressed. Tommy becomes dependent on Dream and the fusing and clings to it to an unhealthy amount, though Tommy of course wouldn’t admit that.
Eventually, Dream blows up Logstedshire and leads to Tommy running away in a brief moment of clarity.
Phil gets under house arrest as the Butcher Gang try to take Techno down to kill him, but Phil, the ever to clever, gets there before they do and fuses with Techno to help take them down. They unfuse when Quackity threatens Techno’s horse, revealing that Phil snuck out. Techno covers for him and tells them that he broke Phil out, that it’s his fault and Phil had nothing to do with it. They believe him and Phil is in the clear.
The attempt fails, Techno finds Tommy and the two continue to practice fighting while fused - Tommy’s idea from his experience fighting with Wilbur - and they’re pretty strong. Ranboo and Ghostbur hang around and ooo and ahh over their moves.
Tubbo visits Tommy and as in cannon believes he’s dead but for a different reason - he finds evidence of when Tommy and Dream were playing around while fused and thinks that they’re permently fused - Dream forged a letter claiming that exact thing. Tubbo of course blames himself for losing his best friend.
Back in New L’manburg, the Butcher Gang gets fusion training too (except for Quackity) and Ranboo finally fuses for the first time with Fundy, the fusion turning into what a 12 year old would be like on redbull.
While on house arrest, Phil tries fusing with Ghostbur and to his surprise... it works - not for very long, but it works. They come to the conculsion that since Ghostbur is a ghost, that maybe it wasn’t two people fusing but instead a soul and a person, leading to the imbalance.
While Techno and Tommy are fused, they hold Connor captive and ask for ransom... leading Tubbo to be extremely confused when someone he doesn’t know is asking ransom from him who appearently knows him-?!
Only after they unfuse... Tubbo realizes that Tommy’s still... here. He’s still here and not in a fusion with Dream. Things go as in cannon.
Finally, after Dream figures out where Tommy is and tells Techno, any chance he gets with Tommy alone he tries to tell him that they could fix everything if they just fused again, and Tommy keeps finding himself refusing.
Anyway, what do ya’ll think? Should I do a follow up post for the fusions?

bless you @bisexyofficial
i’ll put a cut so ppl who dont wanna see it dont have to wade through my ramblings but
jonathan joestar’s whole life was a tragedy nd im tired of pretending it’s not
tw suicide btw
i have been thinking abt this for so long and i only recently figured out how to word it so let’s go
first things first;;; he’s in a carriage accident as a child, in which his mother dies while protecting him from the brunt of impact. i have no doubt in my MIND george kinda blames jonathan for his wife’s death because of this (ill get back to why i think so in a minute). but even if george didn’t, it seems like it’s in jonathan’s nature to blame himself as well
i think that’s why he tries so hard to be the hero (for example, when he steps in to help erina even though he was no match at all for the bullies). he wants to pay it forward if you will; he thinks he’s living on borrowed time, and he doesn’t want to carry that debt longer than he must, which in this case would mean...dying for the good of someone else asap. not good!
so frankly already i think he was never in the best place mentally but he was like okay relative to how bad it would get.
but then dio ~the invader~
dio comes in with the life mission of making jonathan so miserable he kills himself so that he can have all the joestar inheritance. jonathan no doubt picked up on this, considering dio was never subtle about it lol
i think the only reason he didnt go along with it is because, especially in western christain culture at the time, suicide was seen as the easy way out/a sin/something selfish, which wasnt how jonathan wanted to go. he wanted to kill himself sure but he wanted the benefit of the doubt regarding it and he wanted it to be because he was saving someone else
my proof of this line of thinking is all very subtle but it is there and it’s all in the fact that jonathan does nothing to stop dio from tormenting HIM. when he lashes out a dio, it’s only when dio drags others into their feud, like erina and danny and later george and eventually windknights lot. but when it was just him? jonathan took it and swallowed it and did nothing in retaliation. because he though he deserved it
this lack of action is echoed in how he just takes his father’s abuse as well; george jumped on the opportunity to belittle jonathan (such as the dinner table manners bs/otherwise always comparing jonathan to dio in a way “why cant you be more like him” way) and always believed dio over jonathan when they squabbled bc, as mentioned earlier, he blames jonathan for his wife’s death and he loves having some reason to be mad at jonathan. jonathan just takes it and accepts the unfair punishments (such as when george literally STARVED HIM, A GROWING PRETEEN BOY) because again, he believes he deserves it. he believes he is inherently bad
this line of thinking would also explain why he never tries to reconnect with erina until theyre adults and erina initiates it; he doesnt want her to be targeted because of HIM again. he wont drag her back into his messes for the selfish reason of him wanting her company
so. jonathan doesnt like himself. he is perfectly fine with others using him as their emotional/physical punching bag but he will get upset if others get involved
jonathan is selfless to a fault and it really really hurts, u guys. it’s born out of love for others but also a disdain for himself and that hurts
but anyway
then george dies when jonathan is only 19 and even though george was abusive to jonathan, jonathan still mourns him because he felt like he deserved that abuse. and to add salt to the wound, george dies in jonathan’s place iirc so jonathan just feels. awful. fuck god fuck. especially bc he died cause dio got obsessed with a mask JONATHAN left where he could find. obviously it’s not jonathan’s fault for real but this man will perform mental gymnastics to make himself out to be the one to blame because it’s how he’s lived his whole life and it’s how he stomached pain his whole life. it’s easier to take things if u think u deserve them
anyway anyway then part 1 main events. zeppeli, the only real father figure in jonathan’s life, dies, also in place of jonathan. i have no doubt in my mind jonathan feels like he’s a curse onto his loved ones at this point, if he hadn’t thought so earlier; a bad luck charm. after all, the later generations of joestar gotta get it from somewhere-
anyway this death does fuel jonathan enough to kill dio rather than any notions he mightve had of just dying heroically in the fight. esp because dio was gonna continue hurting people if he wasn’t stopped. so jonathan kills him rather than falling into a self-destructive fate
we see, when jonathan weeps over dio’s “death”, that he is sad over this death. most of this is bc dio was a brother in some measure to him since dio changed tactics of how he’d swipe the joestar fortune and became a little more amicable toward jonathan for a handful of years, as well as the fact that he now had time to properly mourn zeppeli/his father now. but i feel like another death he was mourning in this instance was less dio/his father/zeppeli, and more the death of his self-blame line of thought
killing dio, a man who had become a symbol for jonathan’s self-blame and self-disdain, was a big stepping stone in jonathan’s healing i feel like. he’s gotta work on it obviously but i think at this point, when he had the guts to kill dio while also being self-preservative, he was ready to start trying to live for himself in addition to his loved ones. he was ready to unshoulder the guilt he had felt his whole life. he was ready to heal, because erina, speedwagon, and zeppeli showed him he had something inside him that was worth loving. and he might not have gotten it then but with time...maybe he would
he finally starts piecing a life together, a real life. he marries erina, he’s besties with speedwagon, he gets a new home, it’s good, it’s good, he is starting to become happy in life and happy he’s alive for the first time since he can remember
but then it turns out dio is not actually dead and he infiltrated jonathan’s honeymoon ship specifically because it was jonathan’s and he kills almost everyone on board while he’s there. erina is in danger again. a child is in danger. and much like dio was never actually dead, neither was his tendency to shoulder blame and self-disdain
basically, as a result of this jarring situation on a day that was supposed to be one of the happiest of his life, jonathan is thrown back to his 12 year old mindset; it was fine if it was just him. he can die heroically via fighting someone as vile as dio (which in my opinion is why dio even got the jump on him via the laser eyes in the first place; jonathan shouldve been able to dodge that........but w/e). but he can’t let this happen to the world. he can’t let this happen to erina. he needs her to get away from him and thus, the danger
and well, we know how part one ends. jonathan gets his wish. he dies alone with the person he hates most, having relapsed all the healing he had done. he dies a heroic death rather than a “shameful” one of suicide. he dies blaming himself for this mess, just how he had lived most of his life
jonathan is a tragedy. he is shouldered blame unfairly given to him from his father, dio, and he himself his whole fucking life. when he finally, finally has the chance to start healing and making peace with himself, dio kills him, and in addition to that, jonathans last acts are the results of a mental rebound from a healthier mindset to a unhealthy one, that culminates in his death. he is alone with the person who is representative of all that made his life shit when he dies
and dawg...it hurts so bad. fucking jonathan joestar
anyway this is why comments abt how nice he is make me so sad sumtimes, especially when it’s re how forgiving/”gentlemanly” he is. it’s bc he felt he deserved that hurt in the first place so of course he wouldn’t hold it against them. he’s kinda shocked someone would feel guilty over it in the first place, but he’s happy to forgive because he doesnt think a slight occured because he thinks he deserved it, which we can see in speedwagon’s introduction
anyway jonathan is as much of a tragedy as the rest of the joestars i need people to acknowledge this. im in tears

Rune translations and Bottom theories (I did my best!) (: It's long! I mean REALLY REALLY REALLY LONG!!!! You've been warned. (Potential TWs below the cut) yeah Hyoga doesn't have a good time here.
I should probably start calling Hyoga "Hyouga" instead since I'm pretty sure it's spelled with a 'U'... but I probably won't. Apologies.
Bottom English translation by Tackmyn Y! (I can't speak Japanese, again, apologies, though I was able to make my own version of Autophagy)
Potential TWs (I dont want to harm anyone by going on this rant): Autophagy (medical terms), nightmares, demons tormenting a guy, Hyoga being unhealthy in more ways than one, mentions of death/murder, self esteem issues, mentions of destructive behavior, manipulation, violence.
Yeah, my boy Hyoga ain't having a good time in this theory.
I feel the need to clarify that this is all speculation. So uh. Everything here is just what I've been thinking about since I hopped into this rabbit hole.
Sinfan (I'm not sure what order they go in, it's quite hard to tell):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
["Death"
"I"
"Revive"
"Spirit"
"I"
"Something with shape"]
I'm not fully sure what "something with shape" means, but there's a possibility that Sinfan could be referring to Hyoga, (a doll/wax figure) or maybe that Sinfan needs something with a shape to be able to exist. Sinfan could need a vessel to stay on the mortal plain and go undetected while staying alive.
Sinfan needs a vessel. And with that thought, it launches into indecipherable theory crafting.
Hyoga summoned Sinfan when he was 12 years old. Thinking he found a vessel, he called upon Pabometh, another grey demon, to help torment Hyoga so the two could get their wish.
Hyoga, at the time, is young, dumb and susceptible to manipulation, meaning it could be easy for Sinfan to grasp the situation with an iron grip which follows Hyoga into adulthood.
"Revival" could also be referring to "Rebirth," symbolized by a butterfly. It could also mean that Sinfan/Pabo has the powers to revive people. Maybe as a last resort if they need it.
In Hiiragi Kirai's album trailer on Youtube, Hyoga shows up in a scene with 'D' and 'B' in calligraphy on each cheek. They could mean "Death" and "Birth" respectively.
Lines from Autophagy:
"I just wants a peaceful life." Likely means Hyoga wants the demons gone so he can live how he wants to. (Who wouldn't?)
"The voice inside my head? Huh... how odd." Also implies that the demons are still with him.
"My body pulses, memories from my past bringing pain." Means that in Autophagy, Hyoga remembers his past, but it hurts him.
""You can't avoid it in life, so it's best to just deal with it." You say, but you dont seem bothered." Is most likely Sinfan talking to Hyoga. It could also mean that Hyoga can't avoid the demons, so he should just deal with it.
"I can't stop now, so pretend nothing happened!" Could be Hyoga trying to ignore the demons, or maybe he did something he shouldn't have. (Always knew those were prison tattoos...)
"I want to wash my skull out! I want to say bye bye! But yet I didn't do it..." Could mean that the demons are still with him in Autophagy and likely still tormenting him.
"I won't stop, I can't look back." Might mean Hyoga is trying to move on, but with the demons still in his head, he can't, so the "Let me forget!" after the instrument solo might be him wishing that he never remembered in the first place and trying to get the demons to take them away again.
"Just stay away from me!" Could be Hyoga distancing himself from everyone he knows, or trying to get the demons to go away.
"Hello! HAHAHAHA Hello! HAHAHAHAHA!" Might be Hyoga as he slowly loses his remaining sanity due to constant tormenting and pressure from the demons.
"A A A A- 'Allo/Allow/Arrow" could all imply different things, so I'll give a short on all of them.
"'Allo!" Is just an abbreviation of "Hello."
"Arrow!" -According to a quick google search- is a common symbolism for peace and philosophical ideas, and used for protection and hunting. It could mean that Hyoga just wants peace and quiet, which is enforced by "I just want a peaceful life." in the beginning.
"Allow!" Could mean that the demons are trying even harder to bend him to their will and take him over as a vessel. They want Hyoga to allow them to posses him so they can do whatever they please.
Pabo only has 2 that I can see:
Tumblr media
["Nightmare"
"Save (?)ime"]
It might be "time" but I couldn't make out the rune symbol there.
"Nightmare" hardens my thought that Bottom is just a massive nightmare set up by the demons to torment Hyoga, that the song is sung from the perspective of one of the demons (likely Pabo), and that Young Hyoga(tm) in the video is Pabometh playing the part of his repressed/forgotten memories.
This is all assuming the song is, infact, sung by the demons.
Lines from Bottom:
"You're keeping me alive! Today, today, you're killing me!" Could go both ways (Pabo/Sinfan and Hyoga) For Pabo it could just be another variation of the next line I'm about to talk about.
For Hyoga it could mean that he wouldn't be able to function if he didn't have the demons (Sinfan might posses him to make him fit in so nobody notices, keep him from dying from mortal wounds, and he's lived with them so long he might not know what to do without them), but with them he's slowly tearing himself apart from the inside out due to their constant tormenting. Metaphorically or literally is anyone's guess at the moment.
"Autophagy" (his songs name) is a medical term for "self eat" which normally happens when your body is starved, so it eats it's own cells to survive as long as it can. It can also correlate to certain diseases. Autophagy in these terms might also be referring to emotions. It's possible he's been stewing in any sort of negative emotions to cause such effects. (I.E: Guilt, fear, self worth issues,) which could make his resolve weaker, making it easier for Pabo and Sinfan to torment him/possess him. The longer it goes on, the closer he could be to self destructing.
"A wax figure/a doll is keeping me alive/killing me." Is more related to the demons in my eyes. "Wax figure/a doll" is likely referring to Hyoga. Hyoga could be their only tie to the mortal realm, (Sinfan being more prominent because he was summoned first, and by Hyoga himself.)
It could also mean that they need to inhabit his mind/body in order to survive and make it easier to torment Hyoga. If they both are in Hyoga's mind 24/7 while he suffers from nightmares (which cause lack of sleep, keeping his body in a perpetually weak state), no self worth, and a fragile mental state ("I wanna keep you out of my fragile mind!") while he tears himself apart, it would mean it would be harder to stay with him without something happening.
Due to that, it's likely that the very thing keeping them alive and in the mortal realm is also killing them at the same time.
It may be worth mentioning that a line in Bottom is "You think you're a god to me?" while 9lore translated Rinen's (Möbius') tattoo on his chest, which reads "Be still and know that I am god." It could a a coincidence, but I thought I'd mention it just in case (:
Throughout the entire song the demons are mocking and belittling Hyoga. (I.E: "Defying all logic, you're nothing but evil." "You're so stupid! You scumbag, scumbag, scumbag!") Most of the angry rant type of thing happens when Young Hyoga (tm) is on-screen. (It could be a tactic to make Hyoga not want to remember/manipulate his memories/tear down his resolve even more/or just plain upset him.)
"I mean, who, who, who are you?" It's been made clear that for the longest time (according to WOOMA) Hyoga didn't even remember his own name. "Who are you?" might be Pabo trying to get into Hyoga's head and make him question his own sanity.
"What the hell are you to me?" Implies that Pabo also want Hyoga to question why Pabo is here. Sinfan was summoned by Hyoga, but Pabometh was likely summoned by Sinfan to help tear down Hyoga. That means the two don't have much history, and Hyoga most likely doesn't know why Pabo is here for awhile.
It's "you to me" instead of "me to you" so Pabo could also be trying to get Hyoga to try and notice him in a positive way so that the nightmares stop. I'll expand on that some more a few (a lot) of paragraphs down.
"Inside my heart is- such a rage! Such a rage! So I'll grab you, grasp you, and crush you flat!" Is a line I find interesting. It also leads directing into another line; "The symptom of the unforgettable emotion is my burning intent to murder, which is absolutely right." Pabo would likely be talking about Hyoga, which implies that if he could, Pabo would murder Hyoga himself, but since the "wax figure" is needed to keep both him and his accomplice, Sinfan, alive, he can't.
It also implies that Pabo is extremely angry with Hyoga, for a reason I can't particularly pinpoint, except maybe for the fact that Hyoga's becoming more and more unstable and not safe for Pabo and Sinfan. The only problem is, it's Pabo and Sinfans fault he's like that. They're the ones that chose Hyoga as a vessel while simultaneously destroying him.
However, it's possible that Pabo's aim was to devoid Hyoga of anything and everything, (I.E: memories, emotions, etc. etc.) so that he was just that: a vessel. But with Hyoga being so destructive to himself, the whole plan could have gone awry and Pabo's only thought was how furious he was at Hyoga for messing up his chance to be in the mortal realm undetected for good, meaning he wishes he could destroy Hyoga and just get it over with so him and Sinfan could wait until someone else summoned them so they could take advantage of that.
""How deplorable you are! How deplorable you are!"" Is a line that has a chance of Hyoga himself having said it due to it having quotes on it. It also implies that he he could be fighting back, so his resolve might not crushed completely. However, a show of strength like that would likely just enrage Pabometh even more than he already is. It also doesn't help the positive impression he wants Pabo to have of him.
"You're involving yourself with me again like a clingy, clingy neighbor!" Sounds like Pabo, again, insulting Hyoga. If we go off of another part of this fever dream I've cooked up, (Hyoga not knowing what to do without the demons, but with them destroying himself), sounds like Pabo doesn't want to be with Hyoga anymore, going as far as hating him so much he's festering in it.
The "again" makes it sound like Hyoga's tried to communicate with them more than once, being unsuccessful each time. Hyoga could be trying to latch onto them, either to take them down with him or trying to get the nightmares to stop. Like I said, for a while Hyoga could have been trying to get positive attention and make Pabo like him.
"The low-end is going to manipulate me." Could be Pabo addressing that he knows what Hyoga was trying to do and calling him out for it.
"Brimming with momentary anger, rot away quickly, quickly, quickly!" Again, Pabo is talking about his burning hatred for Hyoga.
"I'm always losing! How, how dare you!" Implies that even with all the nightmares and torment, Hyoga has just enough willpower to keep Pabo from getting his wish, angering him even more.
And finally, a line from Autophagy:
"Oh, rise seeds of evil, bursting with malice!" Might be Hyoga finally giving into the demons and becoming their vessel if they take away his painful memories and stop hurting him.
Pentagram:
Tumblr media
["-r Guide(A) N(?)E A(?)R"
"The ability to know wh-"
"Grant me the power to be strong in spirit-"
"Grant me the wisdom to understand-"]
With it over Pabo, it's possible that this was the one that summoned Pabo instead of Sinfan, although with it also under Hyoga, it could be Sinfan's. Who knows, it might also be boths.
In the ending scene with the pentagram, the colors of the other songs are visible, meaning that it's possible all of them are connected.
(I could go on for hours about the small loopholes that I think mean all the songs are connected in specific ways. Either way I know they're all from the same universe.)
With all their colors on it, it might mean they all have a demon of their own.
I'm still working slightly on the pentagram, I'll probably keep ya updated if I can find out what the rest of it says (:
If anyone can find the full version (preferably readable) of the pentagram, that'd be lovely (if it even exists)
(If you find more runes in "Bottom" or another Hiiragi song I'd be happy to see if I can translate it (: I'm not very good though, and I can't speak Japanese-)
English translation of Bottom used by: Tackmyn Y (I don't know where you are but you're a lifesaver)
Find any spelling errors, let me know! I'll see if I can fix 'em (:
If you read this far, what're you doing??
Have an absolutely amazing day!!! <3

Heya if its ok could you do headcanons for slyvain, felix and Calude with an s/o that's constantly getting compared to there older siblings by they parents and they feel like there not good enough. Also I really like your work
{Hi! Sorry this took so long. It’s been a wild few weeks. thanks for the compliment and here ya go!}
Sylvain:
I think Sylvain would be at a loss and that his reaction would heavily rely on how he’d learn of your insecurities. This is because sibling rivalry is not something uncommon among nobility
It tears families apart, literally. Just look at how things turned out between him and Miklan. Status and competition ripped his family to shreds
He wants to be angry for you, but a part of him refuses. He basically feels as if he’s lost the right. It’s sad considering that his childhood wasn’t the greatest, but Sylvain feels that compared to the treatment Miklan received he got the better end of the bargain. He hates his crest, and how it pitted him against his brother. Yet he knows deep down that while Miklan was a jerk to him, the entire family treated his brother like garbage.
Sylvain also knows that what happened with Miklan wasn’t his fault, and that nothing excuses how his elder brother treated him while they grew up. Yet...he doesn’t know what being on the short end of sibling comparison feels like. All his life he’s always been the one with the crest, the one to inherit the title, the one viewed as worthy, and while he hates the ‘crest privilege,’ Sylvain knows that life could have been different. Worse.
He can’t have a heart-to-heart with his brother to talk it over either. Sylvain is aware he will never truly understand what Miklan was feeling.
He doesn’t want that for you. Sylvain doesn’t want your fate to match his brother’s and depending on your relationship with them he might encourage you to reach out to your sibling. He is involved and actively trying to find a peaceful solution that will get you away from the negativity.
He’s there for you and sets aside his personal feelings on the topic to be a support pillar. This knowledge won’t avidly change how you two interact, but he does make it clear that you can always come to him when you’re feeling inadequate. You may feel many emotions, ones that he might not fully understand. Yet you will never be alone.
Felix:
Your personal matters are not something Felix involves himself in often. He’s a firm believer of ‘privacy,’ and never pokes around in other peoples’ affairs. It’s unnecessary drama.
In other words: he views your relationship as two interlocked rings, sort of like a Venn diagram. You have your life, he has his, and whatever falls in the middle is what you two share.
Except for serious issues. If you are ever in danger, suffering, frightened, anxious, ill, etc. he bypasses the rule of personal segregation and forces his way in. He has a protective streak that clouds his sense of judgement from time to time, so be prepared. His personal feelings might come across strong.
If it were a simple sibling squabble Felix would tell you to get over it, but if you confide in him whole heartedly the situation will escalate. He does not like seeing you broken. Not over something that could be avoided.
You see, like Sylvain, this is a sore spot for Felix. His entire childhood he fought to break free from Glenn’s shadow and keep up with his friends. It left him emotionally tattooed with a failure complex, and his father’s behavior after Glenn’s death did not help. The difference is that it was himself doing the comparison, not his family. While Felix won’t openly say so, Rodrigue treated him with as much care as his brother. He was pushed to the best of his capabilities and the only one setting the expectations was himself.
He can’t comprehend why a parent would compare their children. To be so naive and insulting; he thinks they don’t deserve to have kids at all. Said thought filters into his solution to the problem.
He’s very direct with his involvement. If your family wants to behave like irresponsible twats then he will encourage you to separate from them. He’ll point out that family goes beyond blood, and that you don’t need negativity squandering your true potential. He’s certain that his father wouldn’t mind taking you in considering your relationship.
(No, he’s not proposing. We all know that Rodrigue would bend over backwards if Felix actually reached out for a favor. And while it kills Felix on the inside to ask, you’re worth it)
I know, it’s irrational and not something one would expect from Felix. He’s not the type to go out of his way to help like this. If anything, people would assume that he’d push you to go make a life of your own or ignore your family and move on.
He does this because you’re the one in trouble, not anyone else. He wants you to focus on being your best self and knows bland words of encouragement won’t have anything beyond a temporary effect. Removing the source of the issue is the best solution and reaching out to his Father is a small price to pay for it.
Claude:
Claude handles the situation more from an observational standpoint in the beginning. He most likely can tell something is off with your home life long before you mention it. With the amount of time you both spend together he picked up on subtle hints easily. Shortly after your meeting he had also gathered information on your family, which sealed the deal.
Now he couldn’t just sit idly and watch you self-destruct. No, he needed to act somehow. Claude could never leave someone in such an unhealthy environment, let alone that person being his s/o. It’s just that family matters are a delicate situation that require as much tactical planning as the battlefield.
He also is aware that information brokers can only tell him so much. Claude needs to hear the full story from you yourself, and to get that is much harder than it looks.
So, he waits. Eventually you’ll mention something that he can inquire further about. His pressing may upset you, possibly start an argument, but Claude knows it’s necessary. He doesn’t want you to feel as if he’s manipulating your every move, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Your mental health is no joke.
Claude will listen to you with full attention. No jokes, snide comments, interjections, etc. He just lets you pour everything out and absorbs it.
Then comes the contradictions. Anything negative you have to say about yourself will be shut down immediately. He knows that emotional scars like these cannot be healed with flattery, but that’s not what his goal is. His aim is temporary relief to stimulate critical questioning
He wants you to choose what to do next. Amidst the compliments he’ll ask questions like “‘why do you agree with them?” and “What do you want to do?”. Suddenly multiple resources are at your disposal and you have a smooth-talking golden boi ready to fly you off into the sunset. It’s all up to you. He just assures that no matter what your family says or does, you have the choice to move on and a herd of deer backing you up

first of all i’d like to say that i, as a poppy stan, i’m not defending any of poppy’s actions i am merely giving my point of view about the latest of qb. i know what she did was irredeemable and i’m no way making up any excuse for it.
so i saw this essay on reddit comparing queen b so nietzsche’s concept of staring into the abyss, which is basically if you stare at the darkness too long eventually it will consume you as well
and i would like to talk about mc and poppy’s dynamic in the recent chapters which i can only summarize as an obsession.
it’s become very obvious by now that poppy is into mc specially because of the way every interaction is written. i know pb‘s writing can be bad sometimes and they tend to go off the rails on their own storylines but i don’t want to believe the amount of effort put into writing poppy and mc has been done just because.
the way they kept describing poppy looking at mc as if she wants to eat her up, mc being the only person she’s somewhat let her guard down with at least for a moment. and all of those quotes we poppy stans know by heart suggesting that there was a lot more to poppy min-sinclair
now, i know we are all upset because of the way pixelberry handled her character and pushed her past a redeeming point. and while i am too i have started wondering wether pb’s true intent was to give the poppy stans hope to crush it afterwards just to spite us or wether it was for another purpose
poppy has been trying to destroy mc’s life ever since she step foot into belvoire. yes, poppy is known for being ruthless and destroying anyone who might get in the way of her status as a queen bee, but mc was just the new girl, she presented no threat to poppy as the one thing that motivated her to become number one was poppy’s humiliation in the first chapter. and from an outsider point of view, she was really just a farmgirl who stumbled into a bougie university, what were the chances of her actually becoming number one?
a lot of people have been comparing queen b to mean girls, but unlike poppy, regina george “adopted” cady precisely because she was the new girl, she didn’t know anything about how things worked in her school so she could very easily become one of her mindless minions, she could be useful to regina. but poppy? poppy made it her duty to destroy mc’s reputation for no apparent reason, of course all of that was fueled by mc biting back at her and not letting herself be intimidated like everyone else but it still doesn’t explain why poppy would pick on her first
my opinion? obsession. poppy has been obsessed with mc since she first saw her.
now, let’s take a look at poppy’s background. we all know the sinclairs are a hot mess of a family, her mother cheated on her father with a preeschool teacher. but what happened to that guy? his whole life was more likely destroyed by poppy’s dad which could be the first time poppy was exposed to this sort of tactics.
now, maybe because of her family’s dynamics. her concept of love is totally distorted and twisted, she stopped valuing the importance of genuine connections (hence, the conversation she had with mc about her not having any friends just minions) and all around missed the opportunity of having a healthy relationship with feelings
so my theory is, she had feelings for the mc but those feelings clouded by her mentality and in the moment mc barked back it turned into an obsession. and we can see there is a possibility she’s aware of that when during one of her diamond scenes mc mentions her being obsessed with her and she’s just speechless
obsession is often portrayed as being so in love with someone it becomes unhealthy, delusional and makes you do crazy things. but in poppy’s case she sets her mind on destroying mc which might be one of the reasons she targeted zoey instead of mc. zoey was the one person who never left her side, she was the master mind behind every one of mc’s tricks, she was the one who kept coming up with solutions to fix mc’s messes and she was the only person who was truly loyal to mc so she did everything she could to cut those ties (again, i am not justifying what she did nor am i saying there’s no way it could have come from a place of discrimination this is simply what i got from the whole situation)
and poppy is not the only one who fell into the spectrum of obsession. no matter how much zoey warned her mc’s life started revolving around poppy. destroying poppy, dethroning poppy, sleeping with poppy, exposing poppy. even after the zoey thing happened in this chapter the conversation still didn’t seem to stray to far away from poppy. because her rivality or whatever they have going on came in first than the person who always stood by her side no matter what
they’ve both fallen into a vicious circle of destruction. both of their lives revolve around each other and as upset as i feel about the way pb has been treating characters i am curious to see the way they handle this whole storyline

Summary:  With half his sketchbook filled with drawings of the guy, Katsuki wondered if he’s already crossed the line of being insanely creepy. They’ve never spoken, and he honestly only knew the person’s name was Todoroki Shouto because of role call in class. Shouto was just… so unique to look at with his half and half appearance. It was hard for Katsuki’s eyes not to get drawn to him. Not to mention they shared several classes, so if Katsuki ever got bored and felt like drawing something, there he was.

His mentor is suspiciously MIA and that stupid shitty nerd has managed to secure himself a two-person harem so it’s just Bakugou, starving. To death. Slowly.

A consistent burn in his gut, the warmth of a fire that hadn’t been stoked in many years. Katsuki had been inexcusably rough with him. Harsh in a way that had pulled him back to reality. Shouto hadn’t realized he was missing out, being so used to what he knew; going through the motions, a means to an end. “Did it ever get physical?”
This is often the first question we ask someone we know or suspect is in an unhealthy relationship. While starting a conversation around physical abuse is essential, the issue is when it’s the only question we ask.
Stopping short of inquiring about other forms of abuse implies that physical violence is the defining factor of an unhealthy relationship. Even worse, it conveys the message that whatever else might be going on is just “not that bad.”
This is a huge issue, because emotional abuse can absolutely be that bad.
Even if relationship never gets physically abusive, emotional abuse can escalate over time with devastating consequences, even death. And while emotional abuse does not always lead to physical abuse, physical abuse in relationships is nearly always preceded and accompanied by emotional abuse.[i]
Why don’t we hear more about emotional abuse? In addition to the common misconception that it’s just not that serious, many people simply aren’t sure what emotional abuse actually entails.
My aim here is to help you understand what emotional abuse really means and what makes it so dangerous so that you’re better equipped to start the conversation. Because if you want to stop it, you first have to know what you’re dealing with.
Defining Emotional Abuse
Understanding emotional abuse is complicated for many reasons. One reason is because there are several different names used interchangeably to refer to the same kind of abuse, including emotional abuse/violence, psychological abuse/violence, and mental abuse. For simplicity, we’ll use “emotional abuse” going forward.
Another complication is that there isn’t one accepted definition of emotional abuse. It seems that everyone has a slightly different version.
We’ve identified several common threads that make up the most widely accepted definitions and combined them here to create the following description of emotional abuse:
Emotional abuse is any abusive behavior that isn’t physical, which may include verbal aggression, intimidation, manipulation, and humiliation, which most often unfolds as a pattern of behavior over time that aims to diminish another person’s sense of identity, dignity and self worth, and which often results in anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts or behaviors, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Wow, that’s a lot.
Each part of the definition presents its own complications to fully grasping the reality of emotional abuse, so let’s dissect what this really means, piece by piece.
Breaking Down Emotional Abuse
1.“…any abusive behavior that isn’t physical…”
Pretty broad, right? Emotional abuse is difficult to comprehend because it encompasses so much. Just take a look at the non-exhaustive list[ii] below of behaviors that are potentially emotionally abusive:
Intimidation
Manipulation
Refusal to ever be pleased
Blaming
Shaming
Name-calling
Insults
Put-downs
Sarcasm
Infantilization
Silent treatment
Trivializing
Triangulation
Sabotage
Gaslighting
Scapegoating
Blame-shifting
Projection
Ranking and comparing
Arbitrary and unpredictable inconsistency
Threatening harm
Forced isolation
We specify “potentially” abusive behaviors because some of the behaviors on this list could occur in a healthy context as well. Let’s take sarcasm and infantilizing speech, for example. Many people consider sarcasm a key component of a good sense of humor. Many people would also agree that using infantilizing speech as terms of endearment is harmless, for example referring to a significant other as “baby.” However, in the context of emotional abuse where the intent is malicious, these behaviors can be extremely cutting, especially when disguised as affection or an innocent remark. For example, someone who repeatedly tells his or her significant other “My baby is so smart” in a way that’s meant to mock their partner’s intelligence using sarcasm as well as infantilizing speech to make them feel small is a form of emotional abuse.
2. “ …which may include verbal aggression, intimidation, manipulation, and humiliation”
The key word here is “may.” Not only is the list of emotional abuse tactics incredibly long and dependent on context, the particular combination of behaviors that show up, how they show up—whether overtly or covertly—and with what intensity can also vary greatly from relationship to relationship. As a result, we have another layer of complexity: emotional abuse doesn’t have one specific look.
For example, an emotionally abusive relationship where overt aggressing behaviors like yelling, threatening and blaming are predominantly used will look very different from a relationship where only very subtle forms of abuse like gaslighting, passive-aggressive put-downs, and minimizing are used.
3. “a pattern of behavior over time”
Emotional abuse is rarely a single event. Instead, it occurs over time as a pattern of behavior that’s “sustained” & “repetitive.”[iii] This particular characteristic of emotional abuse helps explain why it’s so complicated and so dangerous.
Even if you’re the most observant person in the world, emotional abuse can be so gradual that you don’t realize what’s happening until you’re deeply entangled in its web. As a result, the abuse can go unchecked as the relationship progresses, building for months, years, even decades, especially if the abuse is more covert. In such instances, the target’s self-esteem is steadily eroded and their self-doubt becomes so paralyzing that they often have only a vague sense that something (though unsure what) is wrong.
4. “aims to diminish another person’s sense of identity, dignity, and self-worth”
Regardless of how emotional abuse unfolds, experts agree that it has devastating effects on those who are subjected to it.[iv]
Unfortunately, these effects as well as each harmful act of abuse are largely invisible. This makes it difficult for most people to comprehend the very real risks and damage of emotional abuse.
Let’s demonstrate why. For a moment, try to imagine a scene of physical violence, a fight. Even if you’ve never witnessed or experienced it firsthand, your imagination can probably fill in the picture pretty well. The struggle. The adrenaline and fear. The aftermath of blood, bruises, tears. It’s a painful portrait but likely one that you can envision.
Now, try to picture a scene of emotional abuse, specifically someone whose self-identity has been annihilated. Can you see it?
Chances are your mind doesn’t know where to begin. But if you are able to create a picture of either the acts of abuse or what the damage looks like on the person who experienced it, can you put that image into words?
While describing physical wounds is pretty straightforward, it’s much harder to articulate emotional trauma. The parts of a person that sustained emotional abuse destroys—identity, dignity, and self-worth—are abstract, almost impossible to picture or measure.
5. “results in anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts or behaviors, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)”
Because emotional abuse is essentially invisible, singling out the abuse as the culprit of its destructive effects is another kind of challenge and frustration.
Even in cases of extreme emotional abuse, there are no bruises or gashes where the victim can point and say, “This cracked rib is from that constant belittling and invalidation” and “That swollen eye and broken lip are from the incessant name-calling and guilt-tripping and pathological lying.” Instead, what emotional abuse ends up looking like is a person suffering from painful yet not uncommon afflictions like anxiety or depression.
It can therefore be heartbreakingly easy for anyone—whether the person inflicting the emotional abuse, a third-party observer, or even the target of the abuse—to misattribute its damage to some other cause like unemployment or family stress or even blame the target’s prior mental state if he or she battled similar issues in the past.
Closing Thoughts
Hopefully this explanation of emotional abuse is as comprehensive as possible, but I recognize that it’s still bound to have gaps due to the complications I’ve just mentioned. Think of it more as a springboard for future conversations and exploration than an all-encompassing definition.
Emotional abuse, like any other form of cruelty, thrives in the darkness when no one understands, discusses, or recognizes it. Use your newfound knowledge and curiosity to shine the light on the risks and devastation of emotional abuse.
A great place to start is with asking the question, “How does that behavior or action make you feel?” or “Did it ever get emotionally abusive?”

So you mention daydream siblings a lot they seem to be different from “ regular”, and I’ve tried to understand but I don’t quite get how they work? I know They originated from daydreams but other stuff seems more confusing....
it's.. pretty understandable that yoyre confused tbh. they're kind of a complex topic? the full explanation is long so ive put it under the cut.
long story short, they used to be characters completely controlled by mod to daydream as a coping mechanism. mod stopped being host but we still needed to daydream, so they became more fully fledged headmates. their primary Thing is still enacting daydreams but they're generally autonomous people like everyone else in here
when mod was about eleven, they started daydreaming as a primary emotional coping mechanism. hardcore.
they technically qualified and we sort of do still as a whole as a maladaptive daydreamer (mental health classification for excessive daydreaming to the point where it negatively impacts your lifestyle)
the like. video game avatars i guess is the best metaphor for this? the characters they used for this were the daydream siblings, four, cyan and mink (and later alter/omega, lavender, and dacty). they started out as characters entirely controlled by mod.
by the time we discovered we were a system, it had been five years since this started, and daydreaming was the default coping mechanism for us. like, uncontrollably so. "start pacing, listening to music, and mumbling to ourself in public after seeing something upsetting" so.
this was something that only mod had control of, which is probably part of why they were the host for so long-- i cannot overstate how important this was and is as a coping mechanism for us
mod stopped fronting, though. almost completely. which lead to this vacuum where nobody able to control the daydream characters was around, but we were still in exactly the kind of emotional distress we had to cope with through daydreaming
so then they became more. full fledged headmates i guess to fill that void? like they would front to daydream still, but they started interacting with the world and other people and generally bridging the gap of autonomy.
they still do the daydream thing, which im sure you've noticed, and there's some friction because while it's much less unhealthy than it used to be its still. kinda self destructive in a lot of ways and not as proactive as some of us would like.
they also kinda talk like they're fictional characters interacting with reality through literary analysis and that's partly because they were initially written as self-aware to an extent and partly a coping thing we all do. it's a distancing tactic. we are working on it
