Kandi beamed as she, Booloo, Rocky, Ryker and three other siblings, Cody, Kylie and Cassie, prepared the balloons while eldest sibling Blossom was making fae snacks and Cumin was playing in the living room with a few of his toys.

“I wonder what future Booloo’s gonna name the triplets.” Booloo wondered.

“Speaking of which, where are-” The portal opened.

Sunny and Selene looked noticeably grumpier than Alice, Miracle and Magical.

“AYYYY, ALICE!” Booloo waved. “Selene, Sunny, what’s going on?”

Selene just looked away while Sunny cried.

“Guess who skipped their naps.” Alice muttered “Because ‘Alex doesn’t need naps anymore’.”

“Alex?” Booloo worried.

“Their imaginary friend.” Miracle explained.

Booloo curled up to them. “Hug?”

“I’m fine.” Selene muttered as Sunny hugged her.

“Auntie Booloo…” Sunny murmured. “Did ya meet Alex yet?”

“No, I haven’t. They’re new to me.” Booloo admitted.

“He’s thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis tall and he’s a teenager.” Selene lit up.

“No, Selene, that’s Max. Alex is five and three quarters.” Sunny corrected.

“We got a lot of them.” Selene giggled.

“Hi, Alex, Hi Max.” Booloo waved.

“Alex is very talkative.” Alice advised.

Mrs. Kaine looked in. “Not the weirdest thing that’s happened today.”

Mr. Kaine blew into a noise maker, then waved.

Kandi waved back and signed ‘hi dad, we’ll be good while you and mom are on your date’.

‘I see you have a bunch of friends.’ Mr. Kaine sighed. ‘I know you’ll be good.’

“We will!” the Kaine siblings said in unison.

And with a smile, they left.

Blossom looked at the others. “Now remember, Cumin’s bedtime is 7.”

“You want to snuggle with Cumin?” Booloo asked.

“No, but I at least want him well rested for the New Year, as the oldest of 15.”

Yeah, Booloo had a hard time keeping track of how big Kandi’s family was.

“I meant to ask Sunny and Selene.”

“We’re not babies anymore.” Sunny sniffled.

“We’re gonna be five in January.” Selene explained.

“I have to take naps, and I’m going to be 24 soon.” Booloo explained. “They’re fun!”

“We’re good.” the identical twins said.

Beat,

“...Kandi…give me patience and strength until midnight fun times.” Booloo tried not to get mad.

The Kaine siblings saluted. Yes, all 8 of them.

“Please don’t scare the kids, we just had a jinx with Alice and mini-me.” Future!Booloo admitted. “How’s the hospital food?”

“Haven’t really tried any yet…must’ve lost a lot of blood…”

“Yeah, you did…” Glitch shivered.

“I’mgladididntseeit-” Past!Booloo quickly spoke.

“Glad we agree.” Future!Booloo whispered. “Ave found the broken glass and that’s how the two of us found out.”

“Glad to see I don’t get scared in the future.” Past!Booloo sighed.

“So…” Past!Nate got on his communicator. “Hey Roxie, we’re good, don’t worry. We’ll meet ya back at the studio in a while.”

“Yeah, I heard.” Past!Roxie sighed. “I’m NOT telling Guy this’ll happen. Or our Ave.”

“Yeah…” Past!Nate whispered.

“What’s this button do?” May looked at one.

“Oh, that’s how you get hospital food.” Skye explained.

Past!Avery looked over, happily as the twins noticed the group, having just woken up. “C’mere, you two!”

May ran over, in a bright orange nightgown. Skye chased after her, in cloud print pajamas.

“Hey squirts.” Bob ruffled Skye’s hair.

“Hi!” Skye grinned. “Look! Look! I got a loose tooth!” he wiggled a front tooth.

“Oh, you did! Congrats!” Roxanne cooed.

“Looks like the tooth fairy’s coming tonight!” Past!Nate cheered. “And on your birthday, too. That means very special gifts!”

“EEEEEEE!” Skye grinned.

“Okay, so, Past!Auncle Avery, your future self has a lot of planning to do, so you and Bob will be babysitting for a while.” Alice explained.

“Nothing to fear. We can make them pancakes and put on cartoons for them. Then we can get them dressed for their party.” Past!Avery reassured. 

“And meanwhile, we’ve got a Story of the Soaring Wings show to go to.” Alice chuckled. “Man. One of my best friends is also Mom. Now I know how Glitch feels.”

“Have fun, Alice!” May waved. “Save us some popcorn!”
