This model was made for Disability Pride Month, which takes place in July. So I made a Menhera Luka to help spread awareness for Mental Health. This model was actually inspired by my friend, @caffeinated-chaos-bean/RainwaterPearls 's Menhera Gumi model. Just in case anyone has a problem with what I did to her hair... I gave her hair streaks because I myself wear Menhera sometimes, and I have bright pink hair streaks in my brown hair and wanted to give this Luka model a little piece of myself. Not just that, but also, KAngel from Needy Girl Overdose is Menhera themed and her wig is multi colored, and I see nowhere that states that hair streaks are not allowed in Menhera. I did my best to make the Menhera style accurate and did lots of research. If I DID mess up anywhere, it was not on purpose and I apologize. Luka is my favorite Vocaloid, and I'm someone who suffers from a plethora of disorders. (Depression, anxiety, cPTSD, etc) So... this model was really important to me to make. Please remember to take care of yourself and show yourself love, and get help if at all possible. I know it's hard and easier said than done, but I believe in you. You can do it. You matter. You are loved. She looks best with self shadow off. (Unless you need it on for certain shader effects then leave it on lol.) She looks alright with edgeline on. Personally, I prefer her with it off, but she doesn't look terrible with it on. Rules: Credit me for the model (ShannaHeart/Strawberry-Metal. I'd prefer you credit both usernames for me, but just ShannaHeart is fine.) No redistribution, I don't trust people doing this anymore, as they never credit me, and my models have been sold before. No VRChat please. Ask me for permission first before porting to Gmod. You can port to Blender as long as you still credit me, and keep it as personal use. You can take parts and textures, I don't mind, just credit the right people. Also, do not take the shoes, I paid for them. Please don't edit her unless it's an unseen edit. (Physics improvement, fixing an issue I missed, adding expressions, etc) No R18, no p*d*philia, no inc*st. No selling or claiming the model as your own. Special Thanks: TheBizarreKazeko/@kazekothestrange for helping to fix glitches with the model. PrincessSkyler on DA for testing the model and making sure she runs ok. Remastering My Goodbye Despair Girls Redesigns
Chiaki Nanami
Tumblr media
Chubby Chiaki with an ahoge, braces, acne, and glasses? Yes please.
She wears a Princess Peach tank top, Pikachu headband, Pacman hoodie with several pins about gaming and a transfem flag on it, lilac shorts with MLP, rainbows, and flowers on it, kitty socks, and pastel Crocs. They wear a Pokeball backpack.
Sonia Nevermind
Tumblr media
I wanted her to look casual because of this. I imagine she’d dress like an alt girl bc she saw them on Tiktok and thought that the girls her age were into that kind of style so she cut her hair and dyed it a rainbow to seem easier on the eyes. I also imagine she’d be into the pastel goth and lolta.
She wears a black turtleneck, sleeveless purple lolita dress with coffins and bats and crosses, a few chains on one side, and black platform boots with red bat wings on it. She carries a skull shaped purse around.
Akane Owari
Tumblr media
I decided to give her dyed pink hair and put it up in two curly puffs.
She wears a red headband, half white half red leotard, red gym shorts, and black sneakers with red accents. She also has fangs bc I say so and she has bandages around her hands and wrists.
Mikan Tsumiki
Tumblr media
I took inspiration from the yami kawaii style which seeks to end the stigma around mental health in Japan and raise awareness.
Fae wears faer hair buns and a pair of round glasses. Fae wears a pastel checkered sweatshirt, a Menhera shirt over it, the light blue skirt from canon, and white tights with cuts and bruises. Fae has red under faer eyes. Fae also wears a cute nurse hat.
Ibuki Mioda
Tumblr media
I decided to combine both scene and cyber goth and nyas beta design with the gas mask so bear with me.
Nya wears a black fishnet shirt, a shirt of nyas favorite band from nyas middle school years, a chunky belt, frilly rainbow skirt, rainbow fishnets, rainbow leg warmers, and holographic demonias. Nya also wears a pair of glittery bat wings on her back and neon striped arm warmers with lots of kandi. She also wears chains on her belt with charms.
Hiyoko Saionji
Tumblr media
I decided to give her a Hikizuri kimono since they were worn by wealthy women of a high rank in ancient Japan and by traditional dancers in modern times, which fits Hiyoko perfectly.
She wears an orange Hikizuri kimono with floral patterns, long obi sash, and the headpiece from her despair design. She also wears socks with sandals and wears her hair in an updo.
Mahiru Koizumi
Tumblr media
I wanted to give her that cottagecore but butch look so I did.
She wears a white dress shirt with a pocket over her chest, baby pink pants with floral patterns, yellow suspenders with gummy bear designs (her gf gave them to her) and a trans and lesbian pin, dark greenish brown cropped jacket, and a sunhat with a pink ribbon to top it all off.
Honestly I’d like to hold hands with Mahiru in a field with this redesign
Peko Pekoyama
Tumblr media
She deserves to look like the badass warrior lady we deserved. This is inspired by an instagram user’s Peko redesign.
She wears a white undershirt, black hakama jacket with the symbol of the Kuzuryu clan, black belt with silver lining, black shorts, and knee high combat boots. She also has a red band on her arm which is a reference to a certain someone. She also cut her hair to be faster.

Okay So I Say This In Literally The Nicest Possible Way
But mainstream fashion is /really/ fucking boring.  Now, I am a /very/ firm believer that fashion is always in the category of ‘Not okay to criticize, make fun of, or be mean to people over’.  Like, period.  Unless bigotry is involved (like a Trump hat), or you are explicitly being asked by someone to give critique of their fashion, just be nice.  Find something nice to say about it, if asked for an opinion.  If you really can’t avoid expressing your dislike, keep it very ‘Not my thing, but you do you’.  All of this is like, in my official moral code.
That being said, mainstream fashion is /so boring/.  Like, I get that there are plenty of people who are not interested in fashion.  Who are perfectly happy with minimal effort in that realm, or who like comfy clothes and nothing else, etc, etc.  This is not what I’m talking about.  And I’m also not talking about people who have to deal with a very strict dress code (as far as I’m concerned, uniforms are much more effective at creating a sense of unity than dress codes, and much more inclusive too, but that’s another post).
No, I’m talking about what’s considered /fashionable/.  I’m talking about runways, and fashion weeks, and trends, and all the things that are considered fashion /by fashionistas/ (is fashionista a gendered term??  idk).  I just....it’s boring!!  So boring!!  If people like it, sure, wear it, go for it, but??  With how much love I see alternative fashion getting, I’m skeptical to believe people actually genuinely love things that boring.
Like, I /love/ alternative fashion.  And I don’t just mean the punk, goth, tattooed and pierced type of alternative (altho I def love that).  I’m talking Jfashion, too!!  Lolita, Fairy Kei, Decora, Cult Party Kei, Shironuri, Uchuu Kei, Visual Kei, Mori/Strega, Mahou Kei, Menhera, etc!!  (Google any of those and tell me they are not exciting at the least.  Fairy Kei is my top fav.)  Other, more obscure ones, too.  Rave Kids, Rainbowcore, Kidcore, all of it!! And I see them get a lot of love, but nobody willing to actually wear them!!  Countless people adding comments like ‘Oh, I love that!!  But I would/could never wear it’.
Guess what!!  You can!!!!  You clearly like it!!  Wear it!!!!  And like, okay, I get that dress codes at jobs and general financial issues are a factor here.  But it’s not even really about specific individuals wearing or not wearing things.  It’s about the /culture/.  The culture that doesn’t just say that color and excitement are ‘unprofessional’ and ‘age inappropriate’ and other bullshit made up things, but that can look at a basic tank dress and decide that it’s somehow more fashionable and creative than an oversized hair bow or fur leg warmers!!!!
Just??  I don’t????  Understand????????  Like, people like lots of different things, sure.  But I find it hard to believe that the majority of people genuinely prefer neutrals to neon pastels.  They’re so pretty!!!!  Like so pretty I get legitimately emotional thinking about them!!!!  And people just??  Don’t wear them????  In this age of internet shopping, you can’t tell me that no one can find anywhere to buy colorful clothes.
And we’re getting there!!  Unicorns and mermaids and holographic things are trending.  Not quite in the mainstream, and not quite in generic everyday clothes, but it’s something.  Plus, we’re on the way to a much less gendered approach to fashion as a whole.  Guys are wearing skirts and rompers, that’s a good sign!!!!  I’m just tired of constantly envying after the little girl’s clothes, and of all the fashion on Pinterest being boring colors and boring silhouettes and boring accessories and just boring all around!!!!!!!!
I really don’t mean to talk shit about fashion.  I think that people can wear whatever they want, and if they like it, then that’s the best possible thing for them to wear.  But we, as a society, have this whole fuck ton of completely bullshit ideals for fashion.  It’s ridiculously gendered (altho one could argue that anything gendered is ridiculously so).  And it’s very toned down, very ‘professional’ and ‘mature’ and other boring, stupid things.
And honestly that’s probably tied into the gendered part, too, actually.  People talk about that concept of women in media who aren’t /girly/, but they’re still /feminine/.  That whole ‘They’re not so openly feminine as to be irritating or intimidating, but they’re still classically, /naturally/ pretty’ issue.  They’re ‘not like other girls’, but they still have long hair, and they do actually wear makeup, they just don’t make it too ‘over the top’, and of course they never /bore/ their boyfriend/love interest with any of the details of their hair and makeup.
If I really think about it, that’s probably a big factor in how boring a lot of fashion seems right now.  Because fashion is seen as feminine, so something men are bothered and irritated and threatened by, but it’s also seen as attractive to a certain extent.  So people want fashion that’s attractive to the male gaze, while not being ‘embarrassing’ or ‘intimidating’ or ‘annoying’ to that same male gaze.
Kind of like how, even with how statistically women still do more of the cooking and household chores, all the colors for kitchen and home appliances in the US (outside of pricey novelty brands) are Manly Colors, because god forbid Men have to deal with ~cute~ colors and patterns in Their home.  Never mind the fact that women are the ones actually /using/ said appliances.
This post has gone off on a tangent or two, but in summary, I want fashion to be a fuck ton more queer and ungendered and colorful and also glitter.
