As the (self proclaimed) #1 Memory Rick fan bc it is all I have, it really bothers me when people make him super squishy and happy and alarmingly open abt talking abt little Beth or like he's deeper madly in love with Birdperson and has *nothing* else to him.. did we watch the same episode?? It really doesn't feel like it.

Memory Rick is just as closed-off as Rick is, he's not randomly going "Oh yeah my daughter loved-" he's repressing that shit, the less people know, the better. ESPECIALLY since Memory Rick is only what Birdperson knew about him, why would Birdperson know that Beth really liked mac n cheese or some shit. Memory Rick is still Rick, but even LESS personable. I've said in a post prior that Memory Rick KNOWS he lost his wife and child but he probably doesn't even know what they look like..

I feel like it's sometimes also an excuse to turn Rick into some kind of uwu soft boy who can do no wrong and that really doesn't help the message of Rick's obsession with revenge ruining him and the people around him.

I'm going as a gift to a friend, I only know what they've told me abt LPS, but it's a cosplay safe event and I need more pictures of him, so y'know, now he's getting dragged to a pet shop convention.
