As Link's memories flooded back, Pit felt his heart pounding so intensely that it seemed like it might burst. However, when he witnessed the enraged knight drawing his sword, it caused Pit's heart to skip a beat, his breath to hitch, and his nerves to steel in preparation. He had always known that this day would come when everything from the past would catch up with them. Link, at that moment, seemed fully justified in drawing the legendary sword that seals the darkness.

Perhaps to Link, the Angel was spewing out more excuses or trying to appear wise, and although Pit knew this was the last thing Link wanted to hear, he was telling the truth. However, Kid Icarus was neither a coward nor one to deny a challenge, especially from a warrior who was justified in using a language only another warrior could understand. Yet that word, the one Pit knew he didn't deserve to be called anymore. It stung so profoundly, so painfully in his guilty heart.

Without the divine blessing of Palutena, Pit fled from Skyworld and renounced his Captain title. He found himself facing Link, feeling the weight of being the one who had turned on his friends and all of Hyrule. The sky above was a deep midnight blue, a stark contrast against Hyrule's lush greenery, intensifying the situation's gravity. Without any divine will to rely on, Pit had no weapon, no armor, nothing but his wits and skills. He raised his fists, preparing to face Link and waiting for him to make the first move. Uncertain of how the encounter would unfold, Pit found himself reflecting on his actions and, despite not expecting it to make a difference, he mustered the words, "…I'm sorry, Link… for all of it."

Now, he’s yet to reach the point he’s gotten to feel it so strong as to call it true (he crushes way too easily to get THAT far short of someone liking him back first), but being the kind of angel he is, he’s a very optimistic believer in love and he’s rooting for anyone lucky enough to find it. Opinion on love at first sight: Oh, don’t ask him about this - he gets all crushy fast enough it may as well be at first sight. He hasn’t honestly thought about it too deeply - his thoughts on love are really a bit too simple to take a stance on different kinds of it short of falling into it.

How ‘romantic’ are they?: His heart is romantic - even if he stumbles when it comes to actually acting on those romantic feelings. Once in a relationship, he’ll have his lover on his mind so often it’s distracting, and he’ll be thinking how much he wants to try holding hands, or cuddling, or maybe even kissing??? But he won’t know how to take action on any of it so either his partner helps or he just Dies. Ideal physical traits: He falls for prettiness so fast. Beautiful eyes, flowing hair, pretty voice, a lovely smile... he’s so weak. Princesses tend get him bad. Ideal personality traits: SHOW A GOOD HEART. Pit’s insanely open-minded, and patient enough in the long term to be willing to see good in just about anyone when there is goodness to see. Granted, he’s not gonna hold out for people who are actively mean to him or Palutena, obviously, but he can handle some roughness around the edges if they start showing a softer core. Just be nice to some degree... and also, be someone sweet enough to validate him?? And not harshly make fun of him for his shortcomings??? He’s a puppy when it comes to support.

unattractive physical traits: He can adjust to a lot - but don’t be an actual Slob. Take a shower every now and then... or at least hop in a hot spring? unattractive personality traits: Vanity, selfishness, bloodlust and especially sadism. A good, caring heart is vital to properly winning Pit over.

ideal date: Oh he is NOT picky. Mainly because as long as his date is happy he’ll try and adjust to anything. As long as he can see a smile and there’s an assurance he’s not making a fool of himself, he’s satisfied. do they have a type?: Those who are particularly beautiful and friendly win him over fast. But he’s not super picky, a good heart is a really good way to win him over, even if not as quickly as being the whole package. preferred non-sexual intimacy: TOUCH. He’s unbelievably Soft and touch-starved. He wants to hold a hand, be leaned on, cuddle... k... kiss?? The romance stuff. commitment level: While a proper relationship holding out for a family falls onto the trickier side of the spectrum since no relationship will change the fact that his devotion to and protection of his goddess is what he considers the most important task he has, you can nonetheless expect that he is loyal and will hold the relationship as best he can. While his bleeding, polyamorous heart does keep him from losing feelings for anyone else, it doesn’t mean his heart itself will waver - if he’s in a relationship, that’s his relationship and he won’t consider breaking it without only the most noble and necessary of reasons. As far as potential marriage, though, or having a family... well, it’s possible, but wouldn’t be easy. His job does mean his time with his significant other would be sparing, and the fact divine blood would be born through him could complicate matters, too... but if they could handle that, then the thought of making it work would make him... really happy.

opinion of public affection: Even besides the understanding that overt public displays of affection makes others uncomfortable, the thought of being particularly romantic in public feels embarrassing. He hardly knows how to handle those sorts of actions when it’s just him and the other, trying to be lovey in public would make him feel all kinds of weird and fuzzy, and not of the same variety that comes with the warmth of affection in private.

past relationships?: NOPE. Pit was “born” very small and weak, and through being somewhat ostracized and overlooked throughout his angel-y life means doesn’t have very good social skills besides. And beyond even that, the Centurions of Skyworld are too simple, bulky, and unquestioning to form meaningful relationships with, even considering Palutena an option beyond passing feelings would be another can of worms entirely, and nearly everything else in the Pantheon either laughs at him or hates him. And I mean... angels aren’t really supposed to Romance anyways,

Oh, Bayonetta loves Pit! Loves giving him nightmares that is.

If she loves terrorizing kids, angel kids turned out to be many times more fun to give a good hearty scare. Clearly her reputation as an angel killer precedes her even though Skyworld inhabitants aren’t her target, the Laguna from Paradiso are a different kind of angel altogether but not even she can stop the rumor mill, not that she’s got any interest in doing so. It doesn’t help that he’s already made the mistake of showing that he’s kinda scared of her as it is which really just makes him an easier target than, say, Pitoo.

Bullying and fighting for sport aside, she’d never actually try to harm him. Cereza has a soft spot for goofballs and, whether she wants to acknowledge it or not, for kids. She’d defo back him up and protect him in a fight without thinking twice about it.

     alright, i’m pretty bad irt thinking out some of these relations, but feel free to expand on any in dms if you’d like! that might be better to be able to pre-establish stuff, too. here’s stuff people might be interested in, or at least me on a few!

acquaintances! this is probably the easiest; he’s bad at remembering names often and not used to keeping close contact with strangers on the street, much less anyone unfamiliar with skyworld, so this’s here! it’s on the level of knowing that he’s a kid with actual wings, and maybe a bit more. this does not merge with allies, near any other friendly relation further on is closer than this!!

wings/angels/etc! literally, if you have wings, there’s a really high chance he’ll naturally trust you. i’m not sure what else can play out, but think of this as acquaintances but a little higher?? yeah !!

friends! truth be told pit didn’t have many friends at home and so the concept aside from having a rough outline of a family isn’t familiar to him - he is pretty genial himself, but keeping friends is another thing. if you’re his friend there’s a big chance he’ll die for you.

allies/training partners! these sort of go hand in hand, really. pit is not the sort of person to work with others; if he trusts you to work with him rather than alone, you’re pretty darn close. more on the latter level, he def wants to keep training, so this’ll be a lot more when he gets palutena’s bow or etc back vs his wooden equipment at the moment.

teachers/mentors! okay highkey this is why i made this. pit.... really, really isn’t independent on his own; as an angel, also, serving the goddess of light and being from a world with not extreme modern influences, he’s.. definitely not used to being in a tall city alike today!! there’s also other things, most definitely including he’s functionally illiterate. tl;dr, if ur muse’s ok w dealing w him and kinda helping him, this is there. please, i can’t find a school, i don’t think an equivalent to hive academy exists.

enemies! i figure i should clarify this in case !! this is significantly the second/hardest to acheive; pit will not consider your muse an actual enemy unless they are specifically, repeatedly against one of his causes or allies with no sign of change. first off, some villainous act can accidentally slip past him, whether just mean in dialogue or by actual action. second, he’s very used to believing most enemies are either the grinded-up grunts like in game or actual bosses who really can’t take a hint, and he even forgives a few of the latteresque ; so, as a result, this does require more establishment than other relations!

other! because i know i probably forgot something -- if you have anything else you want to suggest, i’ll be open! keep in mind both mun and muse are minors (-16) , and i have the right to refuse things as i see fit (though it’s very unlikely either of these will be overstepped.)

NAME: pit !! NICKNAME(S): mostly a lot of derisive ones. otherwise, n/a. AGE: 20,998 years whether he’s counting or not 13, almost 14 SPECIES: angel.

PERSONAL.

MORALITY: lawful / neutral / chaotic / good / neutral / evil RELIGIOUS BELIEF: devoted to the goddess palutena, and believes in the other gods of skyworld and earth. VICES: envy / greed / lust / gluttony / sloth / pride / wrath / despair VIRTUES: chastity / humility / charity / diligence / kindness / patience / temperance PRIMARY GOALS IN LIFE: aiding palutena and captaining her royal army; as per her domain, saving the earth and humanity from destruction LANGUAGES KNOWN: greek (vocally), greek sign language SECRETS: pit holds a level of scorn towards the gods, even palutena; it’s not to the point of abhorring them, per se, but he does despise their causing wars for actions minute in the span of 1000 years. it is less vocal then dark pit - he won’t openly admit to such without it ever being bugged, and he’s well and good about covering it up. BUILD: scrawny / bony / slender / fit / athletic / curvy / herculean / pudgy / average / muscled HEIGHT: 5′3” / 160cm SCARS/BIRTHMARKS: there’s a few scars and scratches, both from a few incidents or actual combat; their recency varies, though some that should be there (chapter 21/22 especially) aren’t from palutena’s healing or otherwise. ABILITIES/POWERS: as a winged angel, also possesses increased endurance and agility. he can bear the force of several machinery and abilities used or regulated by the gods unlike humans, being able to receive healing, increase his physical abilities even further, or summon helpful items. RESTRICTIONS: his physical abilities are finite without additional support; additionally, pit can only fly through the power of flight, another ability of support from the gods, and such has a time limit before overuse.
