hii !! it's my birthday right now (april 12) and i'm carving some angst rn heheheh i was thinking about YN birthday, instead of them hanging out together, celebrating her birthday. they forgot her birthday but YN thought they were pranking her and planning to make a surprise birthday party for her, they ACTUALLY forgot her birthday. she waited for a week for them to say a happy birthday to her (she was willing to accept belated happy birthday from them) but none of them did, and became colder to her. YN got sulky and angry so she drank and drank until she became drunk, and got home on 10 pm, which is past their curfew. she got caught and got scolded by seungcheol, who was waiting at the front door looking angry. well, she was drunk and was not on her right mind, unconsciously said some things she's been keeping to her self.
Title: Forgotten Birthday
Masterlist
When Y/N, wakes up excited for her 25th birthday, she anticipates the usual chaos and love from her bandmates. But as the days unfold with packed schedules and unexpected silence, she grapples with emotions that test their decade-long bond, leading to a heartfelt journey of connection and understanding. Pairing: Seventeen x 14th reader Genre: Fluff, Angst
Y/N woke up bright and early, the crisp April air filling her with a familiar buzz of excitement. Today was special—April 12, her birthday. She stretched happily as she stepped out of her room in the dorm, a wide grin plastered on her face. Birthdays were always a big deal for her, and being part of Seventeen made them even more unforgettable. She glanced around, expecting the usual chaos of the boys bombarding her with "Happy Birthday!" the moment she appeared, like they always did at the start of April to tease her. But today? Nothing. Just a few sleepy glances from the members sprawled across the living room.
Hoshi was slouched on the couch, rubbing his eyes. Mingyu was half-asleep over a bowl of cereal, and Seungcheol gave her a lazy nod before scrolling through his phone. Y/N smirked knowingly. Oh, they’re playing it cool again, huh? she thought. The boys were notorious for their birthday pranks, and she was certain they were up to something.
“Morning, guys!” she chirped, bouncing into the kitchen.
“Mmm,” Jeonghan mumbled, sipping his coffee. “Morning, Y/N.”
That was it? No cheeky grin, no nudge-nudge-wink-wink? Y/N’s smirk widened. Nice try, boys. She grabbed a glass of juice, humming to herself as she leaned against the counter, watching them drag themselves around like zombies. They’d had a brutal schedule last night—a fan event that ran way past midnight—and it showed. Dark circles, messy hair, and barely any words exchanged. Still, Y/N wasn’t buying the act. They were definitely planning something.
In the van to their next schedule, Y/N couldn’t contain her excitement. “So,” she started, leaning forward, “April’s a pretty big month, right? Lots of… plans?” She wiggled her eyebrows, glancing at Dino, who was squished next to her.
He yawned. “Uh, yeah, I guess. Concerts, comebacks… the usual.”
“Anything else?” she pressed, her tone playful.
Woozi, eyes closed and head against the window, muttered, “Y/N, can we talk about this later? I’m dying here.”
“Yeah, some of us need sleep,” Vernon added, pulling his hoodie over his face.
Y/N leaned back, crossing her arms with a smug grin. Oh, they’re good. She could picture it already—the moment they’d “surprise” her, probably bursting into the practice room with a cake or ambushing her at the dorm later. Last year, they’d ignored her all day only to barge into her room at midnight with a massive cake, balloons, and a pile of gifts, laughing as she pretended to be shocked. The year before that, they’d pulled an even wilder stunt, acting mad at her for “being late” to a meeting (which was fake), only for her to end up teary-eyed before they revealed the prank with confetti and hugs. This year, she was ready for whatever they had up their sleeves.
The day was a whirlwind—back-to-back rehearsals, a radio show, and a photoshoot that left everyone wiped out. Every time Y/N dropped a hint about April or birthdays, the boys brushed it off. “We know, Y/N,” Seungkwan said at one point, sounding exasperated. “But can we just… rest for five minutes?”
“Okay, okay,” she replied, her smirk never fading. They’re so obvious. By evening, as they piled back into the van, Y/N was practically vibrating with anticipation. Any minute now, they’d pull the big reveal. She could feel it
--------------------------------------------------------------
The first week of April flew by in a blur of schedules, and now, with only four days left until her 25th birthday on April 12, Y/N was practically glowing. She’d stopped dropping hints or teasing the boys about it—she didn’t want to ruin their carefully crafted “surprise.” But that didn’t stop her from grinning ear to ear, shooting knowing glances at her bandmates whenever they caught her eye. They’re probably finalizing the big plan right now, she thought, barely containing her excitement. Seventeen’s pranks were legendary, and her 25th birthday felt like it was going to be their grandest scheme yet.
Their days were packed to the brim—dance practices, interviews, and late-night recordings that left everyone drained. Y/N was just as exhausted as the boys, her muscles aching and eyes heavy, but the thought of her upcoming birthday kept her buzzing. She’d catch herself humming in the van or bouncing her leg during breaks, unable to shake the anticipation.
In the dorm one morning, Y/N plopped onto the couch next to Mingyu, who was scrolling through his phone, looking half-dead. “Morning, Gyu oppa! Big day ahead, huh?” she said, her grin wide and teasing.
He barely glanced up. “If by ‘big’ you mean exhausting, then yeah. I’m already tired.”
“Oh, come on, you’ve got that spark in you somewhere!” Y/N nudged him, her eyes glinting. He’s totally playing it cool.
Across the room, Seungcheol was shoving toast in his mouth while checking their schedule. “Y/N, save the energy. We’ve got back-to-back shoots today.”
“I’m ready, leader-nim!” she chirped, leaning back with a smirk. “April’s got me in a great mood.”
Jeonghan, lounging on a beanbag with a face mask on, cracked one eye open. “You’re way too cheerful for 7 am What’s with you?”
“Nothing, nothing,” she sang, winking at him. “Just… feeling good about this month.” Oh, you’re not fooling me, Yoon Jeonghan.
In the van to their first schedule, Y/N sat squished between Dino and Woozi, her grin still plastered on. “So, guys, four days until… you know, a really cool date in April. Any thoughts?” she asked, barely hiding her glee.
Dino yawned, his head lolling onto her shoulder. “Four days until I hopefully get some sleep. That’s my thought.”
Woozi didn’t even open his eyes, earbuds in. “Y/N, please. I’m begging you. Let me nap.”
“Okay, okay, I’ll be quiet,” she said, holding up her hands but still smiling. Nap all you want, Jihoon. I know you’re scheming.
At the dance studio later, the group was drenched in sweat, running through their choreography for the nth time. Y/N spun past Hoshi, who was barking instructions like a drill sergeant. “Y/N, sharper on that turn!” he called.
“Got it, boss!” she replied, flashing him a grin. “Gotta look good for… you know, special occasions.”
He raised an eyebrow, wiping his forehead. “Special occasions? Like not collapsing after this set?”
“Sure, something like that!” she laughed, twirling away. Keep pretending, Soonyoung.
During a quick water break, Seungkwan plopped down next to her, fanning himself. “Why are you so smiley today? It’s freaking me out.”
“Can’t a girl just be happy?” Y/N shot back, nudging him. “April’s my favorite month, you know.”
“Yeah, yeah, we get it,” he muttered, gulping water. “But you’re, like, extra happy. It’s suspicious.”
“Suspicious? Me?” She gasped dramatically, pressing a hand to her chest. “I’m just living my best life, Kwannie.”
Vernon, overhearing, snorted from a few feet away. “Living your best life while we’re all dying? Respect.”
“Thank you, Hansol,” she said, bowing with a flourish. “I take my job as the group’s sunshine very seriously.”
By the time they wrapped their last schedule—a late-night radio show—Y/N’s energy was finally starting to wane. She slumped into the van, her head resting against the window. Still, her lips curved into a small smile as she thought about her birthday. Four more days, and they’ll pull out all the stops. Cakes, balloons, maybe even a goofy handmade card from DK.
Joshua, sitting beside her, noticed her expression. “You’re still smiling? After today’s chaos?”
“Always,” she murmured, eyes half-closed. “Got a lot to look forward to, Shua oppa.”
“You’re unstoppable,” he said with a soft laugh, shaking his head. “Just don’t burn out before we do.”
“No promises,” she teased, her voice fading as she drifted into a light doze, her mind still buzzing with visions of the birthday surprise she was sure was coming.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The morning of April 12 arrived, and Y/N woke with a flutter in her chest. Her 25th birthday. A milestone. The dorm was eerily silent, not a single sound stirring the air—no clatter of pans, no muffled laughter, no whispered plotting behind closed doors. She sat up in bed, her lips curving into a hopeful smile. Okay, maybe later, she thought, brushing off the quiet. They’re probably saving it for after today’s schedule. Seventeen loved their dramatic reveals, and Y/N was certain they’d outdo themselves this time. She could already picture the chaos—cake smeared on her face, balloons everywhere, Mingyu tripping over a gift box in his excitement.
She bounded out of her room, her energy dialed to eleven despite the packed day ahead. In the living room, a few of the boys were slumped on the couch, scrolling through their phones or sipping coffee, their faces drawn with exhaustion. Y/N didn’t let it faze her. She was practically vibrating, her grin wide as she leaned over the back of the couch where Hoshi and Seungkwan sat.
“Morning, guys! Feeling good today?” she teased, wiggling her eyebrows. “Like, really good?”
Hoshi barely looked up, his voice flat. “It’s just another day, Y/N. Chill.”
Her smile faltered for a split second, but she rallied, laughing it off. “Oh, come on, it’s a great day! Perfect for, you know, big moments!”
Seungkwan sighed, rubbing his temples. “Can you not be so loud? We’re all beat from yesterday.”
Y/N’s heart gave a tiny lurch, but she kept her grin plastered on, leaning closer. Classic prank mode. “Okay, okay, I’ll keep it low-key. But you guys are hyped for today, right?”
Across the room, Woozi shot her a glance, his expression blank. “Hyped? Y/N, we’ve got a million things to do. Can you just… focus?”
The words stung, sharper than she expected, but she swallowed the hurt, her smile unwavering. They’re just tired. It’s fine. They’re setting me up. She bounced into the kitchen, grabbing a glass of water, humming to herself to drown out the unease creeping in. It’s my 25th birthday. They wouldn’t forget.
The day’s schedule was relentless—rehearsals, a live stream, and a fan sign event that stretched into the evening. Y/N stayed her bubbly self, teasing the boys between takes, dropping playful hints about “special days” and “reasons to celebrate.” But each time, she was met with shrugs, eye rolls, or curt replies.
During a break at the studio, she sidled up to Dino, who was stretching nearby. “Hey, Chan, bet you’re planning something fun for later, huh?” she said, nudging him with a grin.
He frowned, wiping sweat off his brow. “Planning? Y/N, I’m just trying to survive this choreography. Give it a rest.”
Her laugh came out a little too loud, a little too forced. “Right, right, survive first, party later. Got it!”
But as the day wore on, the silence around her birthday grew heavier, like a weight pressing on her chest. No sneaky glances between the boys, no hushed giggles, no poorly hidden gift bags. Just exhaustion and indifference. By the time they dragged themselves back to the dorm late that night, Y/N’s hope was fraying, but she clung to it like a lifeline. Maybe now. Maybe they’re waiting to surprise me.
In the living room, she flopped onto the couch, still buzzing with forced energy. “Wow, what a day, huh? Perfect way to cap off… you know, something special?” she said, looking around at the boys, her voice bright but brittle.
Mingyu, kicking off his shoes, didn’t even glance her way. “Y/N, can you stop with the vague hints? It’s annoying.”
Her breath caught, the words slicing deeper than they should’ve. She opened her mouth to laugh it off, but Jeonghan cut in, his tone sharp as he headed for his room. “Seriously, we’re all tired. Not everything’s about you.”
The room fell silent, the air thick with tension. Y/N’s smile froze, her heart plummeting. She looked to Seungcheol, hoping for a softening glance, a hint that this was all part of the act, but he just shook his head, muttering, “Let’s just get some sleep,” before walking away.
One by one, the boys disappeared to their rooms, the sound of closing doors echoing in her ears. She sat there, alone in the dimly lit living room, her hands trembling in her lap. The silence was deafening now, no balloons, no cake, no laughter to break it. Just her, and the sinking realization that maybe, just maybe, they’d forgotten.
Her chest ached, hot tears pricking at her eyes, but she forced them back, her lips twitching into a shaky smile. No, it’s fine. It’s part of the plan. They’re messing with me. She thought of last year’s midnight surprise, of the year before when they’d turned her tears into laughter with a single confetti pop. They wouldn’t forget. Not my 25th.
She stood, her legs heavy, and shuffled to her room. Closing the door, she leaned against it, her smile faltering as the hurt clawed its way up her throat. Maybe tomorrow, she told herself, her voice barely a whisper. Maybe they’re planning something big, and this is just… the buildup. She climbed into bed, curling up under the covers, her heart bruised but stubborn. Y/N believed—no, she had to believe—it was all part of their plan.
--------------------------------------------------------------
April 13 dawned with a gray sky, the air heavy with the promise of another chaotic day. Y/N woke with a flicker of hope still burning in her chest, though it was weaker now, fragile like a candle in a storm. Maybe today, she thought, brushing her hair back and forcing a smile in the mirror. Maybe they’re waiting for the perfect moment. Yesterday’s silence had stung, but she’d convinced herself it was still part of Seventeen’s elaborate prank. They were masters at dragging out the suspense—she’d seen it before. Surely, her 25th birthday, a decade with these boys, wasn’t something they’d just… forget.
The dorm was a whirlwind of activity as the members rushed to get ready for another packed schedule—filming, interviews, and a late-night rehearsal. Y/N moved through the chaos, her smile bright but brittle, watching for any sign, any flicker of mischief in their eyes. She didn’t mention her birthday, didn’t dare disrupt whatever plan they might be hiding. She teased them lightly, keeping her tone playful, waiting for the moment they’d crack and the surprise would spill out.
“Big day today, huh, Cheollie oppa?” she said, leaning against the kitchen counter as Seungcheol stuffed a protein bar in his mouth.
“Big? That’s one way to put it,” he muttered, barely looking up from his phone. “We’re gonna be dead by tonight.”
Her smile wavered, but she pressed on, turning to Joshua, who was tying his shoes nearby. “Bet you’re excited for something today, right, Shua oppa?”
He shrugged, distracted. “Excited to maybe grab a coffee later, if we get a break. You good?”
“Never better!” she chirped, her voice a touch too high. They’re just tired. It’s fine. She clung to that thought as they piled into the van, her eyes scanning each member for a telltale smirk or a poorly hidden grin. But there was nothing—just exhaustion etched into their faces, their heads leaning against windows or buried in their phones.
The day was a blur of motion, one schedule bleeding into the next. Y/N threw herself into every task, laughing with fans during the signing event, nailing her choreography in rehearsal, all while keeping one ear open for a whispered “happy birthday” or a sudden burst of confetti. But the hours ticked by, and the silence grew louder, heavier, until it felt like a weight pressing on her ribs. No balloons. No cake. No knowing glances. Just another day to the boys, while to her, it was everything.
By the time they stumbled back to the dorm well past midnight, Y/N’s hope was fraying at the edges. Three days had passed since her birthday—three days of waiting, of smiling through the ache, of telling herself they wouldn’t forget. She lingered in the living room as the boys shuffled in, her heart still clinging to the idea of a late surprise. Maybe they’d been too busy yesterday, too swamped to pull it off. Maybe now, in the quiet of the dorm, they’d finally reveal the prank.
“Long day, huh?” she said softly, perched on the arm of the couch, looking at Vernon as he tossed his jacket onto a chair.
“Brutal,” he groaned, rubbing his neck. “I’m crashing. Night, Y/N.”
Her throat tightened. “Night,” she managed, her smile slipping as he disappeared down the hall. One by one, the others followed—muttered goodnights, tired waves, and the sound of doors clicking shut. No one paused, no one lingered, no one gave her that spark of recognition she’d been waiting for.
Alone in the living room, the silence was suffocating. Y/N’s mind raced, her thoughts spiraling. Do they actually forget? The idea felt impossible, unthinkable. They’d been together for a decade—thirteen boys who knew her better than anyone, who’d celebrated every milestone with her, who’d turned her birthdays into memories she’d cherish forever. She could understand one or two of them slipping up, maybe distracted by the chaos of their lives. But all thirteen? Acting like her 25th birthday was just another day? The hurt bloomed sharp and raw, slicing through the hope she’d held onto so tightly.
She wandered to her room, her steps slow, her chest heavy. Closing the door, she sank onto her bed, the silence wrapping around her like a cold embrace. Her smile finally crumbled, and hot tears spilled down her cheeks, quiet at first, then shuddering sobs she muffled into her pillow. How could they forget? she thought, her heart twisting. We’re a family. They’re my brothers. They wouldn’t just… forget. The memories of past birthdays—cakes smashed in her face, DK’s off-key serenades, Seungkwan’s dramatic gift reveals—felt like cruel ghosts now, taunting her with what this year lacked.
She curled up, wiping her eyes, her breath hitching. Maybe they’re still planning something. Maybe it’s bigger than I think. Even now, three days late, she couldn’t let go of the belief that they’d come through. They had to. They were Seventeen, her thirteen pillars, her home. She clung to that thought, fragile as it was, and whispered to herself in the dark, “They will not forget.” But the tears kept falling, and the doubt crept deeper, leaving her to wonder if this time, they really had.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Five days had passed since Y/N’s 25th birthday, and the silence from the boys was deafening. Not a single “happy birthday,” not a glance of guilt, not even a question about why she’d gone quiet. Y/N’s heart sank deeper with each day, the hurt festering into something raw and unbearable. She was sure now—they’d forgotten. Completely. The thirteen boys she called family, who she’d poured her soul into for a decade, had let her milestone birthday slip by like it was nothing.
It felt so unfair. Every year, Y/N was the first to greet each member on their birthday, no matter how grueling their schedule. She’d stay up late crafting heartfelt letters, scraping together her allowance for thoughtful gifts, planning surprises that made them laugh or tear up. For Seungkwan’s last birthday, she’d barely slept, decorating the dorm at 4 a.m. For Dino’s, she’d written a letter so long it took her hours, her hand cramping. But her birthday? Nothing. Not one of them had noticed her forced smiles, her quiet stares, her heart breaking in the spaces between their indifference.
The day ended like all the others—chaotic, exhausting, and empty of any acknowledgment. Back at the dorm, the boys trudged to their rooms without a word, doors slamming shut like nails in a coffin. Y/N stood in the living room, alone, her chest tight with resentment. Fine, she thought, her jaw clenching. If they don’t care, I’ll celebrate myself. It was five days late, but she wasn’t going to let her 25th birthday pass without something, even if it meant doing it alone.
She stormed to her room, ripping open her closet. Her fingers landed on a tight, shimmering party dress—bold, defiant, perfect. I’m going out, she decided, slipping it on, her reflection in the mirror fierce despite the ache in her eyes. They had no schedules tomorrow, so why not? She’d drown the hurt in music and alcohol, let the club’s chaos swallow her pain. No one would stop her—not that they’d even notice she was gone.
At the club, the bass pounded through her bones, and Y/N threw herself into it. The bartender, who’d seen her and the boys there before, recognized her instantly and kept the drinks coming—cocktails, shots, anything she wanted. She drank heavily, the burn of liquor dulling the sharpness in her chest. She danced, swaying under the flashing lights, losing herself in the crowd. For a while, it worked. She felt alive, untouchable, the hurt buried under layers of alcohol and rhythm.
But the drinks piled up, and soon her head was pounding, her vision blurring. She stumbled on the dance floor, giggling at nothing, her movements sloppy. The bartender watched with growing concern—she was far gone, her words slurring, her eyes unfocused. They tried talking to her, but she just laughed, waving them off. She’s too drunk, they thought, glancing at her phone on the counter. They didn’t know the dorm’s address, so they scrolled through her contacts, landing on Seungcheol’s name. He’s the leader, right?
--------------------------------------------------------------
Seungcheol was deep in sleep, the kind that felt like sinking into a void after weeks of exhaustion. His phone buzzed relentlessly, dragging him awake. He squinted at the screen—3 a.m., Y/N’s name flashing. Annoyance flared immediately. What the hell does she want now? He answered, ready to snap, but the voice wasn’t hers. It was a bartender, shouting over blaring music and chatter.
“Hey, this is the club on 5th. Y/N’s here, and she’s wasted—like, can’t even talk straight wasted. Keeps dancing, but we’re worried. Someone might recognize her, and she’s alone. Can you come get her?”
Seungcheol’s groan was guttural, his temper spiking. “Yeah, fine. I’m coming.” He ended the call, fury bubbling up. Why the hell would Y/N pull this now? Doesn’t she know we’re all barely functioning? He yanked on a hoodie, his mind racing with irritation. She was out causing a scene, risking their reputation, when they were all drowning in fatigue.
He stormed into Joshua’s room, flicking on the light. “Get up. Y/N’s drunk at some club, and we gotta go get her.”
Joshua blinked, confused but already moving. “What? Why’s she out there alone?”
“No idea, but I’m pissed,” Seungcheol snapped, then barged into Jeonghan’s room. “Jeonghan, up. Y/N’s causing trouble. Club. Now.”
Jeonghan groaned, rolling out of bed with a scowl. “Are you kidding me? What’s her deal?”
The three of them piled into a car, the drive tense and silent, each stewing in their own annoyance. At the club, the music hit them like a wall, the crowd a blur of bodies. They spotted Y/N instantly—swaying wildly on the dance floor, her tight dress catching every light, her face flushed and eyes glassy. She was a mess, and the sight only fueled their frustration.
Seungcheol pushed through the crowd, dropping his jacket over her shoulders. “Y/N, let’s go. Now.”
She laughed, shoving him away, her voice slurred. “Nooo, I’m having fun! Leave me alone!”
Joshua tried next, his tone gentle but firm. “Come on, Y/N, it’s late. You’re drunk. Let’s get you home.”
She swatted at him, stumbling. “I don’t need you! I’m fine!”
Jeonghan’s patience, usually endless, was fraying. He stepped closer, his jaw tight. “Y/N, stop it. You’re making a scene. Let’s go.”
She pushed him too, her movements clumsy but defiant. “You don’t get to tell me what to do!”
Seungcheol’s temper snapped. He scooped her up in one motion, ignoring her protests, her fists weakly hitting his back. “Enough. We’re leaving.” Jeonghan and Joshua flanked him, draping their jackets over her to shield her from prying eyes, their faces set in grim irritation. She was wearing that damn dress, and they weren’t about to let anyone snap a photo that could haunt them later.
Back at the dorm, they dropped her onto the couch, her body slumping as she mumbled incoherently. The noise had woken the others, and soon the living room was crowded with sleepy, annoyed faces—Jun rubbing his eyes, Mingyu frowning, Wonwoo looking like he’d rather be anywhere else. Seungcheol stood over her, hands on his hips, his voice sharp.
“What the hell were you thinking, Y/N? Going out alone, getting trashed like that? What if someone recognized you? You know how much trouble that could’ve caused?”
Jeonghan crossed his arms, his usual calm replaced by a scowl. “We’re exhausted, Y/N. We don’t have time to babysit you when you pull stunts like this.”
Joshua, softer but still firm, chimed in. “You could’ve gotten hurt. Why didn’t you just stay here?”
The others piled on, their voices overlapping, each one laced with frustration. “Do you know how hard we’re working right now?” Mingyu snapped. “And you go make things worse?”
“What even got into you?” Seungkwan added, shaking his head. “We’d all have to clean up your mess if this got out.”
Y/N stirred, her head lolling as she let out a bitter, drunken chuckle. She pushed herself up, swaying, her eyes blazing through the haze of alcohol. She pointed a shaky finger at them, tears streaming down her face as her voice cracked with raw hurt.
“You… you… all of you!” she slurred, her gaze sweeping the room. “You forgot my 25th birthday! Five days ago! Not one of you said a word! Not one of you asked why I’m quiet, why I’m like this!” She stumbled, catching herself on the couch, her sobs breaking free. “I’m always there for you! Every birthday, every single one, I’m up at midnight, writing letters, getting gifts, making you feel special! Even when I’m dead tired! But you… you thirteen… you just forgot me!”
Her voice rose, trembling with pain. “A decade together, and you didn’t even notice! You just cared about sleep, about schedules, about everything but me!” She collapsed back onto the couch, her body giving out, tears pouring as she mumbled, “My 25th… and you didn’t care…” Her words faded into soft, broken sobs, her head dropping as she passed out, tears still glistening on her cheeks.
The room froze, the air thick with a silence that crushed them all. Seungcheol’s anger drained away, replaced by a sickening realization. Joshua’s eyes widened, his hand covering his mouth. Jeonghan stared at the floor, his jaw tight. One by one, they pieced it together—April 12, six days ago. Y/N’s birthday. The day they’d been too tired to notice, too buried in their own exhaustion to remember.
Minghao whispered, “Oh no… we forgot.”
Mingyu ran a hand through his hair, his voice small. “How did we… all of us?”
Woozi’s face was pale, his usual stoicism gone. “She loves birthdays. She always makes ours huge. And we…”
Seungcheol exhaled sharply, guilt settling like lead in his chest. They’d fucked up—badly. They knew how much Y/N poured into their birthdays, how she lit up at celebrations, how she made every moment count. And they’d let hers pass without a single thought.
Jeonghan moved first, kneeling beside her, gently brushing her hair back. “We need to get her to bed,” he said quietly, his voice heavy. Seungcheol nodded, lifting her carefully, her body limp in his arms. They carried her to her room, tucking her in as her tears dried on her face, her breathing uneven even in sleep.
Back in the living room, the silence lingered, each member lost in their own guilt. “How do we fix this?” Joshua asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
“We can’t undo it,” Woozi said, his tone flat but pained. “But we have to do something. She deserves that much.”
They sat there, thirteen brothers who’d failed their sister, knowing they’d broken something precious—and unsure if they could ever make it right.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning, Y/N woke to a pounding headache and a heart that felt like it had been trampled. Her room was dim, the curtains still drawn, and the events of last night crashed over her like a wave. She remembered everything—her drunken outburst, the tears, the way she’d pointed at each of them, spilling her hurt. And their faces. Not concern, not guilt, but irritation, exhaustion, annoyance. The memory burned, twisting the knife deeper. She lay there, her makeup smudged and streaked, still in the tight party dress that now felt like a costume for a night she wished she could erase.
She dragged herself to the mirror, wincing at her reflection—mascara tracks down her cheeks, lipstick smeared, hair a tangled mess. Pathetic, she thought, her throat tightening. A shower was the only thing that made sense. She stood under the hot water, letting it wash away the makeup, the sweat, the lingering scent of alcohol, but it couldn’t touch the ache in her chest. She felt hollow, betrayed by the thirteen people she’d trusted most. They hadn’t cared about her last night—not really. All they’d worried about was the group’s reputation, the headlines that could’ve followed if someone had recognized her. “What if someone saw you?” Seungcheol’s voice echoed in her mind. “We’re tired, Y/N.” Not once had they asked if she was okay.
Back in her room, she pulled on an oversized hoodie and sweatpants, her stomach growling but her pride too bruised to face the kitchen. She was hungry, but the thought of seeing them, of pretending everything was fine, made her sick. She curled up on her bed, staring at the wall, the hurt festering into anger. A decade together, she thought, tears stinging her eyes. I’ve given them everything—every birthday, every late night, every moment I had. And they couldn’t even remember mine. The unfairness of it choked her, and she buried her face in her pillow, willing herself not to cry again. But the tears came anyway, silent and bitter.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, the dorm was stirring with a different kind of energy. Jun, Minghao, and Wonwoo were the first awake, gathered in the kitchen, their voices low as they replayed last night. Y/N’s words hung heavy in the air, each one a dagger they couldn’t dodge. “You forgot my 25th birthday… not one of you asked why I’m quiet…” The guilt was suffocating, and the sight of her closed door down the hall felt like a silent accusation.
“How did we let this happen?” Jun asked, his voice quiet, his hands fidgeting with a coffee mug. “All thirteen of us. Not one of us remembered.”
Minghao sighed, leaning against the counter, his usual calm frayed. “She’s always the one who makes our birthdays special. The letters, the gifts… and we couldn’t even give her a damn ‘happy birthday.’”
Wonwoo stared at the floor, his jaw tight. “She was crying last night. Drunk, sure, but those weren’t just drunk tears. We hurt her. Badly.”
The others trickled in, each face etched with the same shame. Seungcheol rubbed his eyes, looking like he hadn’t slept. Jeonghan sat at the table, unusually silent. Even Hoshi, always the spark of energy, was subdued, his shoulders slumped. They all glanced at Y/N’s door, the weight of their failure settling deeper.
“We can’t undo it,” Seungcheol said finally, his voice rough. “Her birthday’s gone. But we have to do something. We owe her that.”
Minghao nodded, grabbing his jacket. “Jun and I will get a cake. Something she’d love—chocolate, with those little sprinkles she always picks off and eats last.”
“I’ll handle food,” Mingyu said, already pulling out his phone to order her favorites—fried chicken, tteokbokki, that spicy ramen she could never resist. “We’ll cook, too. Make it a spread.”
“Gifts,” Joshua added, glancing around. “We’ll each get her something. Doesn’t have to be big, just… personal. Something that shows we know her.”
They split up, a quiet determination driving them. They knew it wouldn’t erase the hurt, wouldn’t change the fact that they’d fucked up in a way that cut deep. But they had to try. Y/N wasn’t just a member—she was their sister, their heart, and they’d let her down.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Hours later, the dorm was transformed. The living room was filled with the smell of food, a chocolate cake with sprinkles sitting proudly on the table, balloons tied to the chairs despite the late celebration. Gifts were piled in a corner—small boxes, handwritten notes, things they’d scrambled to find that screamed Y/N. A playlist of her favorite songs played softly, curated by Woozi, who’d spent an hour agonizing over the order.
But Y/N’s door stayed closed. The boys exchanged glances, the silence heavy. Finally, Seungcheol approached, knocking gently. “Y/N? Can you come out? We… we need to talk.”
No response. He knocked again, his voice softer. “Please, Y/N. Just… give us a chance.”
Inside, Y/N sat up, her heart pounding. She wanted to stay hidden, to nurse her anger, but something in his tone—raw, almost broken—pulled at her. She wiped her eyes, steeling herself, and opened the door. The sight hit her like a punch: the boys standing in a loose circle, the cake, the food, the gifts. Her breath caught, but she crossed her arms, her face guarded.
“What’s this?” she asked, her voice flat, though it wavered at the edges.
Seungcheol stepped forward, his eyes searching hers. “We fucked up, Y/N. We forgot your birthday—your 25th. There’s no excuse for that.”
Jeonghan joined him, his usual smirk gone, replaced by raw sincerity. “You’ve always been there for us, every single time. Your letters, your gifts, the way you make us feel like we’re the only ones who matter. And we… we let you down.”
Her lips trembled, but she held her ground, the hurt still raw. “Five days,” she whispered, her voice cracking. “Six now. Not one of you noticed. Not one of you asked why I was quiet, why I was… breaking.”
Mingyu’s voice broke as he spoke, his eyes glassy. “We were so caught up in ourselves, in being tired, that we didn’t see you. And last night… we weren’t worried about you, not like we should’ve been. We were assholes, Y/N. I’m so sorry.”
The tears she’d fought all day spilled over, hot and unstoppable. “I tried so hard to believe you didn’t forget,” she choked out, her voice shaking. “I kept smiling, waiting for the surprise, telling myself you were planning something. But you didn’t. You just… forgot. After ten years, how could you all forget?”
Hoshi stepped closer, his own eyes red. “We don’t deserve your forgiveness, not after this. But you’re our family, Y/N. We love you. We were stupid, blind, but we love you.”
She sobbed, her knees buckling, and Joshua caught her, pulling her into a hug. “We’ll spend every day making this up to you,” he murmured, his voice thick. “We promise.”
One by one, they joined, surrounding her in a group embrace, their apologies overlapping—Seungkwan’s shaky “I should’ve known”, Dino’s quiet “You deserve better”, Woozi’s hoarse “I’ll never let this happen again”. Y/N cried into their arms, the hurt pouring out, but their warmth, their voices, started to stitch something back together. It wasn’t fixed—not yet—but it was a start.
They pulled back, guiding her to the table. Minghao lit the candles on the cake, his smile soft. “It’s late, but… happy birthday, Y/N.”
She stared at the flickering flames, her heart a mess of pain and tentative hope. She blew them out, her wish simple: Let us heal. The boys cheered, but it was gentle, their eyes still heavy with guilt. They ate, laughed, handed her gifts—a bracelet from Vernon, a journal from Wonwoo, a goofy plushie from DK that made her smile through tears. Each note, each gesture, was a step toward reconciliation, a promise to never let her feel invisible again.
As the night wound down, Y/N looked at them, her family, and felt the first flicker of forgiveness. It would take time, but they were hers, and she was theirs. And that, at least, was worth fighting for.

Can I request a
Clingy/affectionate 14th member reader who got scolded by management for not being "professional", so reader has to maintain some distance and try to not be as affectionate/clingy to the members.
Distance Hurts | Seventeen x 14th Member | angst, fluff

Y/N had always been the affectionate one in Seventeen. Hugs, playful touches, leaning on shoulders it came so naturally to her. The members never seemed to mind; in fact, they encouraged it, often teasing her for being “too clingy” while secretly appreciating her warmth. She was like the glue that held them all together, always making sure no one felt left out.
But today, things were different.
“Y/N, we need to talk,” the manager said, his tone serious as he gestured for her to sit in the small meeting room.
She sat down nervously, her hands fiddling with the hem of her hoodie. “Did I do something wrong?”
The manager sighed, glancing at a folder of reports in his hands. “It’s not about doing something ‘wrong,’ but we’ve received feedback that your behavior with the members might seem… unprofessional. You’re part of Seventeen, a top-tier group. Being too touchy or playful could affect your image and the group’s reputation.”
Her stomach dropped. She blinked at him, unsure of what to say.
“I’m not saying you can’t be close with the members,” he continued. “But tone it down. Fans are watching, and they notice everything. Maintain some boundaries. This is about professionalism.”
Y/N nodded stiffly, biting her lip. “Understood.”————————————————————————————-From that day on, Y/N tried her best to keep her distance. It was harder than she thought. During practice, when Hoshi threw an arm around her shoulders, she gently shrugged it off with a polite smile. When Seungkwan jokingly asked for a hug after nailing a high note, she only offered him a quiet thumbs-up. And when Mingyu tripped and instinctively reached for her arm, she stepped back, pretending not to notice.
The members were quick to notice the shift.
“What’s up with Y/N lately?” Jeonghan asked one afternoon as they lounged in the waiting room before a shoot. “She’s been… different.”
“She doesn’t even cling to me anymore,” Mingyu complained, pouting dramatically. “I used to be her favorite!”
“She hasn’t hugged me all week,” Seungkwan chimed in, crossing his arms. “It’s weird. Did we do something wrong?”
Seungcheol shook his head, his brows furrowed in thought. “Something’s off. I’ll talk to her.”
That evening, after their schedule wrapped up, Seungcheol found Y/N sitting alone in the corner of the practice room. She was staring at her phone, her face unreadable.
“Hey,” he said gently, sitting down beside her. “You’ve been quiet lately.”
Y/N hesitated, then sighed. “I didn’t mean to make anyone worry. I’m just… trying to follow management’s advice.”
Seungcheol tilted his head. “What advice?”
“They told me I need to be more professional,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “That being too clingy with you guys could hurt the group’s image. I don’t want to cause problems, so I’ve been trying to keep my distance.”
Seungcheol’s expression softened as he listened. “Y/N, you’re not a problem. You’re family. You’ve never crossed any lines with us, and we’ve never felt uncomfortable with how you act. If anything, your affection keeps us grounded.”
“But what about the fans? And the group’s image?”
He smiled faintly. “Fans love us for who we are our genuine bond, our closeness. And part of that is you. If anyone has an issue with it, that’s on them, not you.”
As if on cue, the door to the practice room burst open, and the other members poured in.
“Are you hiding from us?” Vernon teased, crossing his arms.
“We’ve been looking for you everywhere,” Joshua added, his tone kind.
Before Y/N could respond, Seungkwan flopped dramatically onto the floor in front of her. “Why are you avoiding me, Y/N? Am I not lovable anymore?”
Y/N couldn’t help but laugh at his theatrics, her heart warming despite herself. “I’m not avoiding you.”
“You’ve barely touched any of us in days,” Mingyu said, crouching down to her level. “What’s going on?”
Seungcheol glanced at Y/N, silently encouraging her to speak. She hesitated but decided to be honest.
“Management told me I needed to tone it down,” she said quietly. “That being too affectionate might hurt the group.”
For a moment, the room was silent. Then, Hoshi spoke up, his voice firm. “That’s ridiculous! You’re our Sister.”
“You’re part of this family Y/N we literally grew up together,” Jeonghan added. “The way you are with us doesn’t need to change.”
“Yeah,” Woozi said from the back, his tone blunt but sincere. “Don’t let anyone tell you to stop being yourself.”
The overwhelming support made tears well up in Y/N’s eyes. She tried to blink them away, but DK noticed immediately. “Group hug!” he declared, pulling her into his arms.
One by one, the rest of the members joined in, squishing Y/N between them in a giant embrace.
“See?” Seungcheol said with a smile. “This is who we are. Don’t ever feel like you have to change that.”
She hugged them back tightly, her heart full.
Maybe management didn’t understand, but she didn’t care. Seventeen was her family, and nothing could change that.

╰ ౨ৎ LUNA-VERSE MASTERLIST ╰ ౨ৎ writings masterlist
Jeonghan had always taken pride in his composure.
He was the calm in any storm, the serene face in chaos, and the one who could hide his inner turmoil behind the effortless charm that had become his signature.
It was a skill he had honed over the years— a mask he wore with such ease that even his closest friends rarely saw beyond it. It wasn’t that he was emotionless; far from it. He felt everything deeply, but he had always mastered the art of controlling those feelings.
That was just who he was— unflappable, composed, always in control.
But that was before Luna.
The moment she stepped into his life, everything changed.
Luna had a way of breaking down his walls without even trying, a skill that no one else seemed to possess.
He could still remember the first time he saw her— those wide doe eyes filled with uncertainty as she stood in the PLEDIS practice room, the newest trainee among a sea of faces. Her nervous energy radiated off her, but there was something about her quiet determination that caught his attention.
It wasn’t just her looks or her talent, though those were undeniable.
No, it was the way she carried herself, the way she seemed to be holding a storm inside her, a storm she kept under tight control, especially during those grueling monthly evaluations. Her voice, raw and beautiful, would echo through the room, and each time, Jeonghan found himself captivated.
And then, of course, there were her smiles. The first time she smiled at him— truly smiled, not out of politeness or nerves but with genuine warmth— he felt something in him stir. It was a small thing, the way her lips curved upward, the way her eyes sparkled like she was letting him in on a secret only the two of them knew.
His heart had jumped that day, a flutter of something unfamiliar yet intoxicating, something he wasn’t used to. For a man who prided himself on control, that smile felt like a small crack in his carefully constructed armor.
But then, there was the night she confessed.
The memory of it still haunted Jeonghan even after a year or so, her voice quiet yet steady, the way her eyes, usually so bright, filled with heartbreak as he gently turned her down.
He had told her and himself it was for the team, for the sake of professionalism, but deep down, he knew the truth— it had been cowardice.
He was scared.
Scared of what it meant to feel something so intense for someone who was not only part of his world but essential to it.
And seeing the hurt in her eyes, the pain she tried so hard to mask, had been one of the hardest things he had ever done.
Now, as Jeonghan sat at the back of one of their favorite restaurants, watching the members celebrating Wonwoo’s birthday, that same ache returned, gnawing at his chest.
Luna was there, singing her pretty little heart out, a bright smile stretched across her face as she jumped up and down with the others. The room was filled with energy, everyone in high spirits as they belted out lyrics, glasses filled with alcohol raised in the air.
Their own private section, tucked away at the back of the restaurant, provided them privacy, but Jeonghan felt far from the noise as if his world had narrowed to just one person.
Luna.
Her hair flew wildly as she moved to the music, her laughter ringing out above the noise. She looked free— untethered, glowing under the dim restaurant lights, and Jeonghan couldn't help but stare. His eyes tracked her every movement, unable to look away, even though he knew he should. Her smile reached her eyes, that same real, unfiltered joy he hadn’t seen in a while.
It made his heart skip again, just like it always had.
He thought of the way she had looked at him when she confessed, the vulnerability in her eyes, and how, in this moment, she looked so different. So full of life, so happy, surrounded by people who adored her. She was singing, laughing, her body moving to the rhythm of the music, and yet all Jeonghan could do was sit there, glass in hand, silently fighting the urge to stand up and cross the room to her.
He swallowed hard, his fingers tightening around the glass. His heart raced as memories of the past year flooded his mind— how he hadn’t stopped thinking about her since that night, how he had been too afraid to face his own feelings, and how, even now after a year, watching her from afar, the same fear still lingered in his chest.
But this time, something was different. Something had shifted. The control he had always taken such pride in was slipping, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to stop it.
Jeonghan leaned back in his chair, the cool wood pressing against his back as he watched Luna across the room. He had always been composed, always the one in control, but ever since he realized he was indeed falling for her, his determination to fix things between them had only grown stronger.
He had spent the past year trying to return to normal, to recapture the easy friendship they once shared before the night she had confessed and he had rejected her.
And they had succeeded— there was no bad blood, no awkward tension. They laughed and joked as they always had, nothing between them felt forced or strained.
It was as if nothing had ever happened.
But that was what scared him the most.
Was this ease a sign that Luna had moved on? Or was she still pretending, masking her feelings as she always had, waiting for him to make the next move?
Jeonghan didn’t know if he should feel relieved or terrified by the prospect.
This past year, since his own realization, he had been more open about his feelings. He wasn’t trying to hide it anymore. He had been more touchy, letting his hands linger on her arm a second longer than necessary. He had been more clingy, finding reasons to stand close to her during practice or sit beside her at meals. And he had been flirting, playfully teasing her with lines that bordered on genuine affection.
Jeonghan had never denied her anything— anything she asked for, she got.
It hadn’t taken long for Luna to notice.
She wasn’t stupid; she was cautious, of course. She still had feelings for him— Jeonghan could see it in the way her gaze would linger on him, the slight quirk of her lips whenever he said something that surprised her— but she was guarded now.
She wasn’t about to let her heart get broken again.
Yet, despite her caution, Jeonghan could tell she was intrigued by his bolder approach, even drawn to it.
Luna was a little petty, too— he could see it in the way she played along, letting him dote on her, waiting to see where he would take things. She wanted him to work for it, and he couldn’t blame her. He had hurt her, and now he had to prove that he was serious.
Tonight, she looked like a vision, and Jeonghan couldn’t take his eyes off her.
Luna was dressed in a sleek black leather jacket that gleamed under the restaurant lights, cinched at the waist with silver studs. Beneath it, she wore a simple white tee, tucked into high-waisted black shorts that hugged her curves in a way that made his breath catch in his throat. Her legs, long and slender, were clad in sheer black tights, the material shimmering slightly as she moved, and her feet were adorned in knee-high black boots that gave her an edgy, dangerous air. A thin scarf, sequined and sparkling, was loosely tied around her neck, and her hair, an ashy grey color and wavy, cascaded over her shoulders, wild and free.
Her makeup was minimal, but it highlighted her features perfectly, bringing out the depth of her dark-brown eyes, the shape of her cheekbones, and the curve of her plump lips.
With everything else muted, her beauty shone brighter than ever. Jeonghan took a deep breath, trying to slow his racing pulse.
Jeonghan’s gaze raked over her form, slowly, deliberately, as he raised his glass to his lips and took another shot.
He tried to savor the taste, the burn of the alcohol as it slid down his throat, but all he could think about was her. He avoided drinking too much— he had driven to the restaurant tonight and needed to stay clear-headed— but his senses were already clouded by something much stronger than alcohol.
Luna.
Every fiber of his being was filled with her. She was all he could see as she danced, laughing and twirling with Hoshi, Dokyeom, and Seungkwan. Her laughter rang in his ears like a melody, her voice clear and bright as she sang along to the music, her body moving effortlessly to the beat.
Her perfume— sweet and expensive— lingered in the air around him, wrapping him in her scent, a constant reminder of her presence. He watched as her hand brushed against his arm, a fleeting, accidental touch as she spun past him, but it was enough to set his skin ablaze. He closed his eyes for a brief moment, trying to focus, trying to steady the racing in his chest, but all he could feel was her.
Her energy, her warmth, her light.
There was only one thing missing.
Taste.
Jeonghan rolled the lingering flavor of the alcohol over his tongue, but it was becoming increasingly unsatisfying, especially as his gaze landed on the pink lollipop tucked between Luna’s lips.
She twirled it absentmindedly as she danced, the candy disappearing and reappearing from between her soft lips.
A pang of frustration swelled inside him as he watched, his mind drifting to thoughts he knew he shouldn’t be entertaining— not here, not now. But the longer he watched her, the more his control began to slip.
Soon, Luna finally separated from the whirlwind of dancing, her energy visibly spent, and finally peeled herself away from Hoshi, Seungkwan, and Dokyeom, who were still bouncing around like maniacs with boundless energy. Their bodies moved in sync with the beat, wild and free as if they were drawing energy from some endless well.
She stole one last glance at them, shaking her head with a smile as they flailed their arms in exaggerated dance moves.
Luna, however, had reached her limit. She could feel her heart racing, her legs trembling from the exertion, and her skin was glistening with a light sheen of sweat. Her own legs felt like jelly after keeping up with them for what felt like hours, her chest heaving slightly as she tried to catch her breath.
She laughed to herself as she made her way back to their table, where the rest of the members were seated, the ones who had wisely opted to sit back and enjoy the chaos rather than join in.
Jeonghan’s eyes hadn’t left her for a second. He watched the subtle rise and fall of her chest, the glisten of sweat along her neck, the lollipop twirling between her fingers.
As Luna approached, Seungcheol looked up, his gaze landing on her as he pointed and chuckled. “Tired already?” His voice held a teasing edge.
Luna plopped down into her seat next to Jeonghan, letting out an exaggerated sigh as she pulled the lollipop out of her mouth and pointed toward the trio still dancing like maniacs. “I don’t know how those three do it. That was my limit,” she chuckled, her voice breathless yet light.
The group chuckled softly as they watched Seungkwan throw his head back in wild laughter and Hoshi twist his body with far too much enthusiasm. Dokyeom’s arms were flailing in an exaggerated dance move, oblivious to the stares they were attracting.
“Those three could keep going for hours,” Vernon muttered, shaking his head as he looked over at them.
Luna let out a small, tired laugh, and as she settled into her seat, she felt Jeonghan’s presence beside her.
Jeonghan’s eyes were still locked on her, though. Everything else in the room seemed muted, the voices of their friends blending into the background. He admired the way her skin glowed under the soft lights of the restaurant, how her ash grey hair clung to her slightly damp neck from all the dancing.
Every inch of her was so effortlessly captivating.
He hadn’t stopped watching her since she sat down. His gaze was unrelenting, but not in a way that made her uncomfortable— rather, it was the kind of stare that seemed to pierce through all her usual defenses, a soft intensity that always left her feeling exposed.
Before she could think too much about it, Seungcheol, the ever-diligent leader, straightened up and glanced at the time on his phone. His expression shifted slightly, taking on that familiar responsible tone he always wore when it was time to get serious.
“We’ve been here for three hours,” he announced, his voice cutting through the noise just enough for the group to hear him. “It's late and we have work tomorrow. Plus, I think three hours of dancing is enough for one night.” He cast a glance toward the still-energetic trio with a knowing smirk.
The rest of the group groaned lightly but nodded in agreement. Seungcheol was right, as always. No matter how much fun they were having, they had responsibilities waiting for them in the coming days as they continued to prepare for their comeback with their new song ‘HIT’ next month.
As the leader gathered everyone, Luna, still catching her breath, felt Jeonghan’s presence beside her, his warmth radiating through the small space between them. It wasn’t just his proximity, though— there was something electric about how quiet he had been, his intense gaze fixated solely on her.
It was hard not to blush under his gaze— how long had he been watching her? But then again, she didn't mind being the center of his attention.
She could feel it, a tension in the air that wasn’t there before, and it made her skin tingle.
While Seungcheol was busy with the rest of the members, Jeonghan turned his attention back to Luna, his eyes softening as he leaned just a little closer to her. “You looked like you were having fun out there,” he murmured, his voice low and teasing, that familiar lilt in his tone that always seemed to make her stomach do a tiny flip.
Luna huffed out a small laugh, shaking her head. “I was. Until I couldn’t feel my legs anymore,” she replied, her own voice quieter now as the noise around them seemed to dim slightly.
Jeonghan’s smile deepened, a small chuckle escaping him. “Pushing yourself too hard again?” he cooed softly, his voice dropping into that smooth, almost condescending tone he often used when he was in full dote-on-Luna mode.
It wasn’t harsh; it was gentle like he was speaking to a child who didn’t know their limits yet.
Luna rolled her eyes, but there was a playful smile tugging at the corners of her lips. “Someone had to keep up with Dokyeomie, and you certainly weren’t volunteering,” she shot back, her tone light but with a teasing edge.
Jeonghan’s eyes glinted with amusement, his hand coming to rest on the back of her chair. The casual gesture sent a shiver of warmth through her, but she kept her expression neutral.
“I’m just smart enough to know my limits,” he said smoothly, his voice dropping into a quieter, more intimate tone. “Unlike someone.”
She could feel the tension simmering between them— subtle, unspoken, but undeniably present. The way he was looking at her, the way his voice seemed to dip into that soft, almost velvety tone whenever he spoke to her— it was enough to make her heart race slightly faster, but she wasn’t about to give him the satisfaction of knowing that.
“You’re always so full of wisdom,” she teased, letting out a small, tired laugh.
Jeonghan chuckled softly, his gaze dropping to her lips for the briefest second before meeting her eyes again. “You should listen to me more often,” he murmured, his voice now so low it was almost a whisper. “I only have your best interests at heart, Jiyeonie.”
"Mhm, I'm fine." Luna playfully rolled her eyes at him which Jeonghan caught considering he hadn't taken his eyes off her yet.
Jeonghan carefully eyed her seat and reached for the base and with one quick tug, he pulled her closer before turning his head slightly, his voice smooth and low as he leaned just a bit closer to her, his breath brushing against the shell of her ear. “Say whatever you want but you seem to have a hard time keeping up with them, Nana-ya,” he teased, his tone both condescending and affectionate, his words laced with a quiet, teasing chuckle.
He used that familiar pet name, one that made her heart skip in ways she tried to ignore.
Luna scoffed lightly, rolling her eyes but unable to hide the smile tugging at her lips. “I was keeping up just fine, thank you very much.”
“Mm, sure you were.” Jeonghan’s voice was soft, but it was filled with amusement as he slowly turned toward her, his body shifting so he was facing her more directly.
His eyes gleamed mischievously, a spark of playful intent. “You should take care of yourself, hm? You should let me take care of you more,” he cooed softly, his tone dipping into that dangerously low, smooth register that always made her stomach twist.
Jeonghan wasn’t looking at her like a friend, not anymore, and it made her blood run warmer.
He leaned in slightly, his breath brushing against the side of her face as he spoke. His tone was so soft, so intimate, it made her heart race even though the words themselves were teasing.
The way he said it, like she was something fragile, something precious that needed looking after— it was disarming.
Luna raised an eyebrow, leaning back slightly in her seat as if to regain some distance, though the playful glint in her eyes betrayed her. “You'll take care of me?” she repeated, her voice challenging but soft.
Jeonghan leaned in closer, his face just inches from hers now. The scent of his cologne— earthy, slightly musky, and so distinctly him— filled her senses.
“Since you’ve clearly been overexerting yourself. In practice too, you've been overworking yourself,” he said in that smooth, deep tone, his fingers lightly brushing a stray lock of hair away from her face, his touch feather-light yet deliberate. “You know how I hate seeing you tired, Jiyeonie.”
The way he spoke, the way his voice dropped into something so soft and intimate, made Luna’s pulse quicken. She could feel the weight of his gaze on her, his eyes drinking in every detail of her face as if she were the only thing that mattered in the entire room.
The others were still laughing, still packing up, but to Jeonghan, none of it existed. There was only her.
Luna swallowed, her throat suddenly dry, though she fought to keep her composure. She knew him too well— knew that behind the teasing, there was something deeper. Something simmering beneath the surface.
“You’re really laying it on thick tonight, Han,” she teased back, her voice a bit quieter now, the nickname slipping out before she could stop herself. “Are you worried about me?”
Jeonghan eyes darkened slightly, his lips curving into a small, knowing smile as his gaze flickered down to her lips before slowly meeting her eyes again. “I always worry about you,” he murmured, his voice almost a whisper now, intimate and deep.
His words hung in the air between them, thick with unspoken tension, the kind that made Luna’s breath catch in her throat.
She was drawn to it, to him, even though every rational part of her brain screamed at her to keep her guard up. But Jeonghan had a way of getting under her skin, making her want things she knew she shouldn’t.
Before she could reply, his hand brushed against hers, just a light, fleeting touch, but it was enough to send a jolt of electricity through her. She glanced down at their hands, the small contact sending her heart racing, but when she looked back up at him, his eyes were still fixed on hers, unrelenting, waiting.
“You’ve been acting strange lately,” she finally said, her voice quieter now, as if the weight of the moment was pressing down on her.
Jeonghan tilted his head slightly, a soft chuckle escaping him. “Strange? I thought I was always like this with you.” His tone was playful, but there was a seriousness behind his words, a truth he wasn’t ready to say outright.
Luna narrowed her eyes at him, though her lips twitched into a small smile. “No, you haven’t. Not like this.” She paused, her voice dropping lower, more serious. “What changed, Jeonghan?”
Luna knew what changed... she just wanted to hear it come out of his mouth… she needed to hear it.
The tension between them thickened, palpable, both of them fully aware of what wasn’t being said.
Before she could respond, their conversation was interrupted by the sudden noise of Seungcheol calling everyone to gather up. The leader’s voice cut through the moment like a knife, and Luna could feel the tension between her and Jeonghan dissipate as reality sank back in.
Jeonghan leaned back slightly, his hand still resting on the back of her chair as he gave her a small, knowing smile. “Looks like we’re being summoned,” he said softly, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
The rest of the group began to gather their things, Seungcheol rounding everyone up with the ease of someone used to managing chaos. Hoshi, Seungkwan, and Dokyeom finally stopped their dancing, though they were still buzzing with energy as they made their way over to the group.
“Come on,” Jeonghan murmured, standing up from his seat and offering Luna’s hand.
She took it without hesitation, letting him help her up from the chair, her legs still slightly wobbly from all the dancing. As they made their way to the exit, saying goodbye to everyone as they prepared to head home, Jeonghan kept close to her side.
They exchanged quiet goodbyes with the other members, Seungcheol reminding everyone to get some rest before they had to jump back into work the next day.
Once the farewells were done, Jeonghan gently guided Luna toward his car. “Come on,” he said softly, his hand resting lightly on the small of her back as he led her through the parking lot. “I didn’t drink much, I’ll drive us back.”
The air between them felt heavier now, quieter, as if the rest of the world had faded into the background, leaving only the two of them.
Luna didn’t protest as they reached his car, slipping into the passenger seat as Jeonghan closed the door behind her. The sound of the car door shutting felt final like they were cocooned in their own little world now, separated from the noise and energy of the night.
Jeonghan slid into the driver’s seat and started the car, the low hum of the engine filling the silence. As they pulled out of the parking lot, the city lights reflecting off the windows, the tension that had been simmering between them earlier seemed to settle back in, quiet but palpable.
The hum of the car engine blended with the soft pattern of rain beginning to fall against the windshield. The city lights blurred as droplets streaked across the glass, casting soft reflections inside the car. It was a peaceful silence but charged, like the calm before a storm. Everything felt heightened in this small space— the closeness, the warmth, the electricity between them that neither could ignore.
Luna had leaned back, her eyes lazily scanning the passing scenery as she twirled the lollipop in her mouth. Jeonghan’s hands rested lightly on the steering wheel, his focus on the road, but his attention clearly elsewhere.
Finally, Jeonghan broke the silence, his voice soft but cutting through the quiet like the first crack of thunder. “You really do push yourself too hard,” he murmured, the tone carrying both amusement and concern. He glanced sideways at her, just for a second, catching the way her lips tugged into a smile.
Luna turned her head to face him, the corners of her mouth lifting into a playful smirk. “You sound like a broken record,” she teased lightly, her voice tinged with laughter. “Have you forgotten you told me that already, or have you just got nothing new to say?”
Jeonghan chuckled a deep sound that filled the quiet car. “I’m just reminding you,” he said, his gaze flicking toward her briefly before returning to the road. “Someone has to take care of you.”
Luna snorted softly, shaking her head. “I think I’m doing fine. You should worry about yourself.”
“Me?” Jeonghan’s eyebrows lifted in mock offense. “I’m perfect.”
Luna rolled her eyes, the lollipop making a soft clack as she pulled it out of her mouth and pointed it at him. “You and your ego, I swear. If your head gets any bigger, you’ll need to get a bigger car.”
Jeonghan let out a soft laugh, eyes crinkling in amusement. “Please, Jiyeonie, you like it.”
She shot him a playful glare but couldn’t suppress the small smile tugging at her lips. “You think you know me so well.”
“I do,” he said confidently, his tone casual yet carrying a weight behind it. “I know you push yourself because you hate being the first to give up. You’d rather collapse than admit you’re tired.”
Luna blinked, surprised at how easily he’d read her, though she shouldn’t have been. Jeonghan always had a way of seeing through her, peeling back layers without even trying. She shrugged, trying to play it off. “Maybe.”
The rain started coming down heavier, drumming against the roof. The windshield wipers moved in a steady rhythm, slicing through the water, but it did nothing to cut through the thickening tension between them.
“You don’t have to impress anyone, Nana-ya,” Jeonghan said quietly, his tone softer now, more sincere. “Not even me.”
Luna felt a warmth spread through her at his words, but she masked it with a grin. “Who says I’m trying to impress you?”
Jeonghan glanced at her, a playful glint in his eyes. “Oh, so it’s just me then?”
Luna scoffed, crossing her arms. “Don’t get ahead of yourself.”
Jeonghan smirked, clearly enjoying himself. “Too late.”
Luna groaned, rolling her eyes dramatically. “Why do I even bother talking to you?”
“Because you love me,” he said simply, the teasing tone never leaving his voice.
For a while, neither of them spoke.
There was a pause in their conversation, a lull filled by the steady rhythm of rain against the windshield. The city lights blurred past them, casting soft reflections across Luna’s face, her features illuminated in a soft, almost ethereal glow
Jeonghan wasn’t sure what prompted him to say it— maybe it was the lingering effect of the alcohol, or maybe it was the fact that he couldn’t help himself—but the words slipped out before he could stop himself.
“Have I told you that you look beautiful today?” Jeonghan asked, his tone casual as he changed the topic, almost too casual for the weight those words carried.
Luna’s head turned toward him, her eyebrows raising in surprise, though a smile tugged at the corners of her lips. She pulled the lollipop from her mouth, twirling it between her fingers as she gave him a teasing look. “I don’t think you have,” she replied, her voice light, playful. “Is that something you’re just realizing now?”
Jeonghan chuckled softly, shaking his head. “No, I’ve known it all night,” he said smoothly, his voice dipping into that soft, dangerously teasing tone he often used with her. “I just didn’t get around to saying it until now.”
Luna leaned back in her seat, crossing her legs as she twirled the lollipop stick absentmindedly. “Well, thank you for your delayed observation,” she said with a mock-serious nod. “I’m sure you’ve had plenty of time to admire me while I was dancing.”
He smiled, not denying it. “Trust me, I’ve been doing more than admiring.” His eyes glinted with mischief, though his voice remained steady and calm, the type of calm that made her heart skip a beat.
Luna rolled her eyes, though she couldn’t help the warmth that spread across her cheeks. She looked out the window to hide the smile threatening to break across her face. “Always so smooth, Hannie.”
“You love it when I’m smooth,” he replied, his voice dipping lower, softer, as he glanced at her again. There was something different in his gaze this time—something that made the air between them feel heavier, more charged.
Luna’s smile faded slightly, though not from discomfort. There was something in the way he was looking at her, something that made her pulse quicken despite herself. She didn’t respond immediately, choosing instead to stare out at the rain as it blurred against the glass, her mind racing with thoughts she had tried to push aside for a long time.
Luna knew this game.
She knew how Jeonghan flirted— it was playful, light, teasing, always with a little smirk and a sparkle in his eyes. He had flirted with her before more so these last couple of months and she had always brushed it off, played along, knowing it didn’t mean anything.
But tonight felt different. There was something in the way his eyes lingered on her, the way his voice dropped into that dangerously low tone whenever he spoke to her. It made her stomach twist in ways that scared her.
She told herself it was just him being Jeonghan, that he hadn’t changed, that this was just how he was. But deep down, she couldn’t help but feel that something had shifted between them. She had seen it in the way he looked at her tonight, had felt it in the way he hovered near her during the party, the way his fingers brushed hers when he helped her out of her chair earlier.
It wasn’t just friendly. It was something more, something heavier, something that made her chest tighten with a mix of hope and fear.
And yet… Luna couldn’t help herself.
She was drawn to it, drawn to him.
Even though she had promised herself she wouldn’t let her heart win again, even though she had sworn to herself that she wouldn’t let her guard down, she was losing the battle.
It was impossible to resist Yoon Jeonghan, especially when he looked at her like she was the only person in the room— he had a way of making her feel like the center of his universe, even when he was surrounded by others.
It was intoxicating.
Dangerous.
But Bae Jiyeon was drawn to it all the same.
She knew she shouldn’t.
She knew it was risky, that letting herself fall again would only lead to heartache.
But as she sat there, feeling his eyes on her, feeling the warmth of his presence beside her, she wondered if maybe— just maybe— she was willing to take that risk again.
“You’re such a flirt. In fact, you’re bolder than normal,” Luna allowed herself to chuckle.
Jeonghan's fingers tightened on the steering wheel for a moment as her words lingered between them.
Where had this sudden boldness come from?
He didn't know.
Sure, he flirted, teased, and bantered with Luna— it was their dynamic, the rhythm they’d fallen into after years of knowing each other.
But something about these past few months and more so tonight felt different.
Maybe it was the few drinks he’d had earlier, loosening his inhibitions just enough to say the things he’d been holding back. Or maybe it was desperation, the realization that he had been skirting around his feelings for far too long.
Maybe it was because they were alone, away from the rest of the group, the tension between them simmering just beneath the surface.
Maybe it was the way she looked tonight and every day— beautiful, radiant like she didn’t even realize the effect she had on him.
Maybe it was just her.
Maybe it had always been her.
He had always been good at hiding his emotions, at keeping things under wraps, but with Luna… it was different.
She had a way of breaking through his defenses without even trying. He could still remember the way she looked at him when she confessed last year— the heartbreak in her eyes when he rejected her. He hadn’t meant to hurt her, but he had. And he’d been thinking about it ever since.
Or maybe it was the fact that he was tired of pretending he didn’t feel something for her, something more than friendship.
He had spent so long avoiding this, avoiding her, because he was scared. Scared of what it would mean if he admitted to himself that he had feelings for her.
But sitting here, in this small, quiet space with the rain falling softly around them, he felt like he couldn’t hold it in anymore. He was drawn to her— had always been drawn to her— but tonight, it was different.
Whatever it was, he was allowing himself to be a little reckless.
The rain intensified, the rhythmic sound growing louder as they drove through the quiet streets back to the dorm. The world outside the car was dark and blurred, but inside, the tension was so thick it felt like something tangible.
Every second they spent in this small, enclosed space made the air feel heavier, more charged. Jeonghan could feel it in every breath, in every glance she threw his way.
Tonight, he was ready to risk it.
He wasn’t sure how he had managed to keep himself in check for so long, because right now, all he wanted was her.
Jeonghan cleared his throat, his voice dropping lower as he spoke. “You know, I wasn’t lying when I said you look beautiful. I wasn’t just saying that to flatter you,” he murmured, his tone soft but deliberate. “You really do look beautiful tonight.”
“Mm… thank you,” Luna said as she shifted in her seat slightly, pulling her legs up underneath her as she leaned against the car door.
Jeonghan glanced at her again, his heart skipping a beat when he saw her looking back at him and for a moment, he was gone. She was smiling softly, her eyes bright despite the late hour, her lips still stained from the lollipop she had been playing with all night.
And in that moment, Jeonghan realized he was a goner.
Completely and utterly lost.
The way she looked bathed in the faint glow of the dashboard lights, her lips curling around her words, her eyes dancing with mischief. The subtle scent of her perfume filled the car, a warm and intoxicating mix that tugged at his senses.
Luna was talking, her voice a tantalizing melody yet Jeonghan couldn’t make out what she was saying— he was…. completely and utterly lost. And then, her hand— the gentle, casual touch as she caressed his shoulder while she talked, sending a jolt through his chest like a spark had just ignited something inside him.
How was he supposed to concentrate on driving when every part of him was tuned into her?
Jeonghan realized, with a sudden, amused thought, that there were a few things you absolutely shouldn’t do while driving: use your phone, be drunk, speed recklessly… and have Bae Jiyeon sitting in your passenger seat.
It was dangerous.
The kind of danger that made him wonder if he was more likely to crash the car from being so utterly distracted by her.
Jeonghan’s grip on the wheel tightened as he forced himself to focus on the road ahead. But then he glanced at her again, and his breath caught for a second.
Luna was watching him— no, she was staring at him with a smug look in her eyes, as if she knew exactly what she was doing to him.
Of course, she knew. She always knew.
That smugness in her expression, the way her lips twitched as if she was enjoying watching him squirm— it was maddening.
Luna was enjoying this. Petty as she could be, she was reveling in the way he was slowly unraveling under her gaze.
And just like that, Luna decided to throw all of her fucks out the window.
“Am I going to be the cause of our collective demise once you crash this car?” Luna chuckled as she addressed Jeonghan’s focus on her despite driving.
“You think this is funny?” he muttered, his voice low, laced with that familiar teasing edge. He didn’t even try to hide the amusement in his tone, despite the frustration simmering underneath.
Luna twirled the lollipop in her mouth, the little pink candy rotating lazily as she continued to stare at him, her eyes glinting mischievously.
She didn’t even bother to answer him— just smirked and leaned back in her seat as if she had already won this silent game they were playing.
There was something in the way she was looking at him now— something deeper than just their usual playful banter. He could feel the heat of her gaze, the way her eyes seemed to trace over him as if she was daring him to do something.
The tension was unbearable, every word they exchanged adding to the weight of it.
Jeonghan knew, at that moment, that any shred of morality or self-restraint he had left was being thrown out the window.
He couldn’t help himself anymore, not when she was looking at him like that, not when every nerve in his body was on fire from just being near her.
He glanced at her again, and this time, he didn’t hold back the flirtation in his voice. “Nana-ya…” he started, his tone smooth, dangerously soft. “If you keep looking at me like that, we might have a problem.”
Luna raised an eyebrow, her eyes gleaming with challenge as she continued to twirl the lollipop in her mouth. “Oh?” she murmured, feigning innocence, though the glint in her eyes told him she was anything but. “And what kind of problem would that be?”
Jeonghan’s eyes flicked toward her briefly, the corner of his mouth twitching into a smirk. “The kind where I stop caring about the road entirely and start caring about something else.”
The implication hung in the air between them, thick with the tension neither of them was willing to fully acknowledge yet.
Luna giggled, leaning back against the seat, twirling the lollipop between her fingers like she was playing with the moment. “You’re such a flirt, Hannie,” she said, shaking her head slightly. Her voice was light, but there was a warmth there, something knowing as if she was fully aware of the effect she had on him.
“And you love it,” Jeonghan shot back, his tone a mix of teasing and certainty.
He wasn’t even asking— it was a fact between them.
Luna tilted her head, her eyes narrowing slightly. “Maybe I do,” she admitted, licking her lips as she discarded the stick. “But don’t let it go to your head.”
Jeonghan chuckled softly, his fingers tapping lightly on the steering wheel. “Too late,” he cooed, his voice slipping into that condescending tone again, the one he knew always made her roll her eyes. “I think you like it when I tease you, Jiyeonie.”
She glanced at him from the side, the soft glow from the dashboard lights catching in her eyes. “And I think you talk too much,” she retorted, though her smile betrayed her.
“Do I?” Jeonghan’s voice dipped lower, softer, almost a whisper as he added, “I think you like it when I talk to you like this.”
Luna shifted in her seat, crossing her arms and giving him a side-eye. “You think a lot of things, don’t you?”
He grinned at her defiance, leaning slightly toward her as he replied, “And I’m usually right, aren’t I?”
Luna let out a soft laugh, shaking her head as she watched the rain streak across the windshield. “You’re impossible.”
“Mm,” Jeonghan hummed, his voice a lazy drawl. “But you’re still here.”
“Who would you gawk at if I wasn’t?” Luna smirked.
The rain picked up, soft at first, then heavier, drumming on the windshield in rhythm with Jeonghan's increasingly erratic thoughts. The world outside was blurred, the soft streetlights hazy in the downpour, but inside the car, the tension was palpable.
Jeonghan's fingers tightened around the steering wheel as if holding on for dear life, not because of the rain, but because of the woman sitting next to him, practically radiating smug confidence.
Luna's presence was overwhelming, and the teasing glint in her eyes felt like a challenge he wasn't sure he could resist.
Her fingers idly twirled the lollipop in her mouth. She knew exactly what she was doing to him, and the maddening part was how much she was enjoying every second of it. Her smirk, and her playfulness all gnawed at him in the best and worst ways possible.
Everything about her posture screamed cat-that-got-the-canary— as if she knew exactly how close Jeonghan was to cracking.
If only he knew what would happen if he did.
“Brat,” Jeonghan let out a sharp breath through his nose, trying to focus on the road ahead, though it was becoming increasingly impossible. Every glance her way made his pulse quicken, made the frustration in him grow.
And then, without thinking, his hand left the wheel.
It was quick, almost instinctual, like gravity had pulled him toward her. His palm landed on her thigh-firm, commanding-sending a jolt of heat up her leg. His fingers splayed against the soft fabric of her sheer black tights, the warmth of her skin radiating through the material. His touch was possessive, but his grip remained gentle as if he was testing the boundaries, daring her to stop him.
Luna's breath hitched, just slightly, but she didn't push his hand away. Instead, she shifted in her seat, just enough to press into his touch, amplifying the tension that had already settled thickly between them.
Her eyes flicked down to where his hand rested, then back up to his face, and she bit her lower lip, a smirk still tugging at the corners of her mouth.
"Hannie," she practically purred, her voice sweet but laced with mischief. "Is that really the safest thing to do while driving?"
Jeonghan's fingers flexed against her thigh, a slow, deliberate movement that made her feel the weight of his touch even more. He tilted his head toward her, eyes dark and heavy-lidded, the playful tone from before replaced with something deeper, something more intense. His voice came out in a low, velvety murmur.
"Safe?" he repeated, his lips curling into a dangerous smile. "I am holding onto you for safety, Jiyeonie."
Luna's eyes glimmered with challenge, her heartbeat quickening, though she'd never let him know it. She leaned in slightly, her hand drifting toward his arm, her fingertips brushing against his wrist where it rested on her leg. Her voice was just as teasing, if not more, as she shot back, "You seem awfully distracted for someone who's supposed to be focused on the road."
Jeonghan chuckled under his breath, the sound soft and low, the kind of laugh that sent a shiver down her spine. "I am distracted," he admitted, his thumb now tracing a lazy circle on her thigh. His eyes darted from the road back to her, his gaze heavy with desire. "You're not exactly helping, pretty girl."
Luna's lips curved into a smirk, one that practically dared him to go further. "Focus, Hannie," she teased, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Jeonghan shot her a look, one eyebrow raised, clearly amused by her brattiness.
"I’m focused," he said smoothly, his voice dropping even lower. He squeezed her thigh slightly, his fingers pressing in just enough to make her gasp, though it was clear from the look in her eyes that she loved it.
The rain continued to pour, the rhythmic sound of droplets against the windshield only adding to the charged atmosphere inside the car. The world outside was quiet, but inside, the storm between them was brewing, and neither of them seemed interested in calming it.
Luna's heartbeat quickened as she shifted in her seat again, crossing her legs, which only served to push his hand higher up her thigh. She gave him a sideways glance, the corner of her mouth lifting in a taunting smile. "Big talk for someone who's barely keeping his eyes on the road."
Jeonghan's jaw clenched slightly, though there was no anger behind it— just the overwhelming desire to wipe that smug look off her face. He could feel the heat rising between them, the tension so thick it was almost suffocating.
But God, did he love it.
There was something about the way Luna teased him, the way she pushed and pushed until he was at the edge of his control. And maybe that was why he never stopped her. Maybe he wanted her to push him past his limits. Maybe he wanted to see just how far he could fall before losing himself completely
Without thinking, his hand slid further up her thigh, his fingertips brushing against the seam of her shorts, the movement slow, deliberate, teasing. His voice was a soft purr as he spoke, his lips barely moving.
"Do you really want to keep testing me, Bae Jiyeon?"
Luna let out a soft, breathy laugh, her lips curling into a devilish smile. "Why not?" she shot back, her voice playful but challenging. "It's fun watching you angry. I rarely get to see you even remotely pissed off.”
Jeonghan's grip tightened ever so slightly, his fingers digging into her skin, but the way his eyes darkened told her everything she needed to know. He was close— so close to giving in to whatever dangerous game they were playing. His thumb brushed lightly against the inside of her thigh, a barely-there touch that sent a shiver down her spine.
The car slowed as they neared finally reached the dorm, the streetlights casting long shadows on the wet pavement. The rain had picked up, turning into a torrential downpour, the sound of it filling the space between them.
But the tension— the crackling, electrifying tension-remained. Neither of them said a word as Jeonghan pulled into the parking lot, the engine's hum cutting off as he switched off the ignition before removing his seatbelt.
For a moment, they sat in silence, the rain hammering against the roof of the car, the only sound between them. Jeonghan's hand still rested on her thigh, his grip firm but not uncomfortable. He turned to face her, his eyes dark and unreadable as they locked onto hers.
Luna met his gaze, her heart pounding in her chest. The playful banter was gone, replaced by something heavier, something far more dangerous. Her pulse raced as she waited, the silence between them thick with anticipation.
And then, without a word, Jeonghan leaned in. His breath was warm against her skin, his lips hovering dangerously close to hers as he whispered, "Do you know you make me go insane?”
Luna's breath caught in her throat, her heart hammering in her chest. Her lips parted, but no words came out. Instead, she just stared at him, her pulse quickening as she felt the heat of his body so close to hers.
Jeonghan's eyes flicked down to her lips, then back up to her eyes, a slow smile curling at the corners of his mouth. "But I think you already knew that, didn't you?"
Luna swallowed hard, her voice barely a whisper as she replied, "Maybe. But I like hearing you say it."
Jeonghan's smile widened, his hand tightening ever so slightly on her thigh as he whispered, "Then I'll say it as many times as you want."
Luna's breath hitched, her pulse racing as she felt the tension between them reach its breaking point. But before either of them could say another word, the sound of the rain grew louder, drowning out everything else.
And in that moment, it wasn't the storm outside that threatened to consume them— it was the storm brewing between them, one that neither of them seemed willing to stop.
Jeonghan's breath was hot against Luna's face, his voice dropping into that intoxicating whisper that sent shivers racing up her spine. "What else do you want to hear me say, hm?"
His lips hovered dangerously close to hers, his words soft but laced with that infuriating, devastating sweetness that he always seemed to use to unravel her.
Luna sat frozen in her seat, the weight of his gaze holding her captive as her heart pounded wildly in her chest.
She couldn't speak.
Couldn't move.
She could only stare back at him, helpless beneath the intensity in his eyes, the heat of his breath against her skin making her dizzy.
And Jeonghan noticed it all.
The way she was falling apart under him, the way her lips parted just slightly but no words came out, the way her chest rose and fell with each unsteady breath.
It made him smirk, that familiar, cocky smile that she loved and hated at the same time.
He knew what he was doing to her. He always did.
He took pride in being the only one to make the big, bad, and confident Bae Jiyeon crumble.
His hand slid from her thigh to her cheek, his fingers brushing against her skin with such a delicate touch, as though he were savoring the moment, every second of it.
His thumb grazed her bottom lip, sending a jolt of electricity straight through her body.
"Wanna hear how breathtaking you are?" Jeonghan's voice was soft, teasing, but there was something darker underneath— something deeper. "How much I love hearing your voice?" His fingers tangled in her hair as his thumb stroked her jaw. "How sweet you smell, Jiyeonie?"
Speechless.
Luna was utterly speechless.
“Anything. I’ll say anything for you, however much you want, pretty angel. Just tell me.”
Jeonghan said it all in that baby-talk voice that always drove her crazy, soft and low and teasing. The tone wrapped around her like a warm blanket, lulling her into a state of pure intoxication. Every word felt like a caress, every breath of his like a temptation.
He was ruining her, and he knew it.
Luna couldn't help herself. She leaned back against the door of the car, her head resting on the window as she stared at him, mesmerized. His fingers trailed through her hair, and his eyes were dark, filled with something she couldn't quite place— scanned every inch of her face, lingering on her lips.
She didn't know how it had come to this.
How she had gone from playful banter to this suffocating, unrelenting tension that made her feel like she was on the edge of something dangerous, something that once started, neither of them could take back.
But maybe she didn't want to take it back.
Jeonghan leaned in closer, his lips inches from hers as he tilted his head, his gaze dropping to the lollipop stick still hanging from her mouth. "Always wanted to know what it tastes like," he murmured, his voice smooth, almost playful.
For a split second, a dumb part of Luna thought he meant the lollipop itself, and her mind raced to think of a witty comeback. But before she could say anything, Jeonghan's hand reached up, gently pulling the stick from her lips, his eyes never leaving hers.
And then, without another word, his fingers caught her chin between them, holding her still as he leaned in closer.
It happened so quickly and so slowly all at once. One second, he was hovering in front of her, teasing her with the nearness of his lips. The next, his mouth was on hers, capturing her in a kiss that stole the breath from her lungs and sent her heart into a freefall.
The first touch of his lips against hers was soft, and tentative, like he was testing the waters. But then, when he felt her lips part beneath his when he heard the soft, almost inaudible gasp that escaped her— he deepened the kiss, his hand sliding to the back of her neck as he pulled her closer.
For years, they had danced around this moment. Years of stolen glances, of teasing words and almost-touches. Years of denying what they both knew was there, simmering beneath the surface, too dangerous to acknowledge.
But now, with the rain pouring down around them, the car windows fogging up from the heat of their breath, and the tension that crackled between them like electricity— there was no more denying it.
Jeonghan's lips moved against hers with a softness that belied the intensity of the feelings that had been building up inside him for so long. His fingers tangled in her hair, tugging gently as his other hand slid down her neck, caressing the skin there before resting just above her collarbone.
Luna's mind was a blur, her thoughts spinning as she melted into him, her body reacting instinctively to the heat of his touch. She had imagined this moment so many times— late at night, when she couldn't sleep, wondering what it would feel like to finally close the distance between them. But nothing could have prepared her for the reality of it.
Nothing could have prepared her for the way his lips felt against hers, soft but demanding or the way his hand cradled the back of her head like she was something precious. The way his breath hitched when she responded when she kissed him back with just as much hunger as if she had been waiting for this just as long as he had.
At that moment, everything else fell away— the rain, the car, the world outside. All that mattered was him, the taste of his lips, the warmth of his hand on her skin.
All the years of pining, of holding back, of pretending they didn't feel what they did— it all dissolved in the heat of the kiss.
Jeonghan groaned softly, the sound vibrating against her lips as he tilted his head, deepening the kiss even further. His fingers tightened in her hair, pulling her closer as if he couldn't bear the thought of even an inch of space between them.
Luna's hands found their way to his chest, her fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt as she pulled him closer, her body arching toward him instinctively. The kiss was everything she had imagined and more fiery, desperate, filled with years of pent-up longing.
And yet, there was a softness to it, too. A tenderness in the way his thumb brushed her cheek, in the way his lips softened against hers as if he was savoring every second of it.
Her mind was spinning, her heart pounding in her chest as they kissed, the sound of the rain outside only intensifying the moment, creating a cocoon of intimacy around them. This kiss was more than just a kiss— it was a culmination of everything that had been building between them for years.
When they finally pulled apart, both of them were breathless, their foreheads resting against each other as they panted softly, the air between them thick with the weight of what had just happened.
Jeonghan's hand was still cradling her face, his thumb brushing lightly against her cheek as he stared down at her, his dark eyes filled with something she couldn't quite place.
"Jiyeon-ah," he whispered, his voice rough, his breath warm against her lips. He didn't say anything else—he didn't need to.
Everything he was feeling was written in the way he looked at her, in the way his fingers trembled slightly as they brushed against her skin.
Luna's heart was still racing, her mind struggling to catch up with what had just happened. But when she met his gaze, saw the vulnerability in his eyes, she knew.
This wasn't just a moment. This was everything they had been denying, everything they had been too afraid to acknowledge.
Jeonghan didn’t waste a second. As soon as the kiss broke, his lips still tingling from the warmth of hers, he popped the lollipop he was still holding in between his fingers back into his mouth with a smirk, tasting the lingering sweetness that seemed insignificant compared to the taste of her lips.
Without a word, he grabbed her purse from the back seat and pushed open his door, stepping out into the pouring rain.
The downpour was relentless, soaking him to the bone the moment he left the car, but he didn’t care. His hair was plastered to his forehead, his clothes sticking to his skin as he jogged around the front of the car, his shoes splashing in the puddles that had formed beneath him. The rain chilled him, but the heat still simmering in his veins from their kiss overpowered the cold.
Luna was still frozen in her seat, her mind reeling from the intensity of what had just happened.
The taste of Jeonghan's kiss was still fresh on her lips, her pulse racing, every nerve ending in her body on fire. She hadn’t even noticed that Jeonghan had left the car, her breath coming in short, shallow bursts as she replayed the feel of his lips, the way his hand had tangled in her hair, the way he had kissed her like he was claiming her.
She was only brought back to reality when the passenger door opened with a wet, metallic groan, and Jeonghan, drenched and dripping, crouched down to meet her wide-eyed gaze.
His eyes were dark, filled with something unreadable as his hands moved to her seatbelt, carefully unclipping it before leaning in just enough for her to catch the scent of rain and his cologne, now mingling with the smell of wet clothes “Come on,” he murmured, his voice still rough from the kiss.
His fingers found hers, intertwining with them as he gently but firmly pulled her out of the car and into the rain.
The cold rain hit her like a shock, drenching her instantly as her shoes splashed into a puddle beside the curb. She barely had time to register the chill because Jeonghan’s hand tightened around hers, pulling her toward the dorm entrance with a sense of urgency like he couldn’t bear to be apart from her for even another second.
They sprinted through the rain, hand in hand, as it poured relentlessly, drenching both of them until their clothes clung to their bodies. Luna’s breath came in quick, ragged gasps, her heart still hammering from the kiss, from the feel of Jeonghan’s fingers tightly gripping hers.
By the time they reached the dorm building’s entrance, they were soaked, water dripping from their hair and clothes, but neither of them seemed to care.
Jeonghan pulled open the door with one swift motion, leading her inside, their footsteps echoing off the tiled floor as they hurried toward the elevator. As soon as the elevator doors slid shut, the tension snapped back into place, stronger and more electric than before.
The rain had done nothing to cool the heat simmering between them. If anything, it had only intensified it.
Jeonghan stood there for a second, his chest rising and falling with deep, heavy breaths, his wet hair sticking to his forehead, and water droplets running down his face.
And then, without warning, he yanked the lollipop from his mouth and threw it carelessly to the floor of the elevator, his eyes locking onto hers with an intensity that made her knees go weak.
In one swift motion, he grabbed her by the waist and pushed her back against the elevator wall, his body pressing against hers, pinning her in place. His lips crashed into hers again, desperate, hungry, like he couldn’t wait another second to taste her again.
Luna’s hands flew to his chest, fingers curling into the wet fabric of his shirt as she kissed him back just as desperately, just as hungrily. The heat between them was unbearable, the feel of his body against hers, the taste of his lips— everything about him was overwhelming her senses, and she couldn’t get enough.
Between kisses, Jeonghan’s breath was ragged, his voice low and rough. “God, I’ve been wanting to do this for so long.”
Luna’s response was a soft gasp as his hand slid up her side, pressing her closer against the wall. “Han– oppa…”
He kissed her again, cutting off her words, his lips moving against hers with a fierce intensity. “You don’t even know how much I wanted this, Jiyeonie,” he whispered, his breath hot against her mouth as he pulled back just enough to look at her, his eyes dark with desire.
Luna couldn’t speak.
Couldn’t think.
All she could do was feel— the heat of his body, the way his fingers dug into her waist, the way his lips moved against hers, demanding and relentless. She had dreamed of this moment for so long, imagined it in a thousand different ways, but nothing could compare to the real thing.
Nothing could compare to the way Jeonghan kissed her like he was starving like he needed her to breathe.
The elevator dinged, the sound almost lost in the haze of their kiss. Jeonghan pulled away just long enough to glance at the floor number before a mischievous smirk tugged at his lips. He grabbed her hand again, yanking her out of the elevator as the doors opened.
Their footsteps were hurried as they made their way to his apartment, water still dripping from their clothes and hair. Without a second thought, Jeonghan typed his password, fumbling slightly as he unlocked the door in his haste.
The moment it swung open, he pulled her inside, slamming the door shut behind them with a loud thud, locking it in one fluid motion. Before Luna could even catch her breath, Jeonghan had her pressed up against the door, his hands braced on either side of her head as he leaned in close, his lips brushing against hers again, teasing.
“You’re staying here with me tonight, okay?” he murmured, his voice soft, but the heat in his eyes was unmistakable.
Luna barely had time to nod before his lips were on hers again, his hands sliding down her waist, pulling her flush against him as if he couldn’t stand the thought of any space between them.
The intensity of the kiss made her dizzy, her body reacting on instinct, her hands tangling in his soaked hair as she kissed him back with equal fervor. They were both drenched, clothes sticking to their skin, hair dripping water onto the floor, but none of it mattered.
All that mattered was this— this moment, this kiss, this connection that had been building for years, finally unleashed with a force neither of them could control.
Jeonghan’s hand slid up her side, fingers grazing her wet skin beneath her soaked shirt, making her shiver despite the heat between them. His lips trailed from her mouth to her jaw, down to her neck, where he left a trail of soft, teasing kisses, his breath warm against her skin.
Luna’s breath hitched, her fingers tightening in his hair as her head tilted back, giving him more access. “Hannie…” she breathed, her voice barely above a whisper, her mind spinning from the overwhelming sensation of his touch, his lips, his body pressed so firmly against hers.
“Nana-ya…” he hummed back, his voice rough and filled with so much emotion, so much want, that it made her knees buckle beneath her. “I’m never letting you go after this. You know that right?”
Jeonghan couldn’t get enough of her— her taste, her scent, the way she fit so perfectly in his arms. Every kiss was deeper, more desperate like he had been waiting for this moment his entire life.
His hand slid beneath her shirt, his fingers tracing the curve of her waist, feeling the way her body trembled under his touch. He pressed his lips to the soft skin of her neck, inhaling the sweet scent of her, a mix of rain, shampoo, and something uniquely Luna.
God, she’s perfect.
He couldn't help the thought that ran through his mind, as if seeing her, feeling her like this, up close, made him realize just how breathtaking she truly was. Every inch of her, from the way she gasped softly at his touch to the way her hands clung to him as though he was the only thing keeping her grounded, drove him mad with need.
Luna’s mind was a mess, her body responding to him in ways she hadn’t imagined. Every brush of his lips on her skin sent a shiver down her spine, and the way his hands roamed over her like he was memorizing her made her heart race uncontrollably.
She’d dreamed of this moment countless times— of Jeonghan looking at her the way he was now, touching her like he couldn’t get enough. But now that it was happening, it was so much more than she ever imagined.
He’s really here. This is really happening.
His hands, his mouth, the way he said her name— it all felt too good to be real like she was living in some fantasy she had conjured. But the heat of his breath against her neck, the way his body pressed into hers, was too intense to be anything but reality. And now that they had crossed this line, she didn’t want to stop.
She didn’t want to think about the consequences, the risks, or the years they had tiptoed around their feelings.
All she wanted was Jeonghan.
Jeonghan’s lips moved back up to her mouth, capturing her in another deep, urgent kiss. His hand slid further under her shirt, his thumb brushing against her ribs, drawing a soft gasp from her lips.
“I hated what I did to you— I shouldn’t have lied to you about my feelings,” he murmured against her lips, his voice low, almost a growl.
Luna’s heart skipped a beat, her hands tightening their grip on his damp shirt. She looked into his eyes, breathless, her lips still tingling from his kiss. “Then why did you?” she whispered, her voice barely audible as her eyes searched his, wanting to understand why he had kepthis feelings to himself for so long.
Jeonghan's eyes darkened slightly as he rested his forehead against hers, his breath mingling with hers in the small space between them. "I was scared," he confessed softly, his voice tinged with something between regret and longing.
But not anymore, Jeonghan thought to himself, feeling the weight of all the unspoken words they had left hanging in the air for years.
He had been so careful, so patient, but now that he had her here, now that he had tasted what they could be together, there was no going back.
Jeonghan can't let her go. Not now.
Luna’s heart ached at his words, but a part of her understood.
They had always been so careful, always so focused on the group, on protecting what they had built together. But she couldn’t stop the pang of frustration that crept in. They had wasted so much time, so many years dancing around each other, denying what was always there, just beneath the surface.
“We could have had this sooner,” she murmured, her voice barely audible as she cupped his face, her thumb brushing against his cheek.
Jeonghan leaned into her touch, closing his eyes briefly, savoring the warmth of her hands on his skin. “I know,” he breathed out, his lips brushing against hers again, softer this time, almost tender. “But I was afraid… of how much I wanted you.”
Those words sent a fresh wave of heat through her, her body reacting instantly to the intensity in his voice.
She didn’t think she could want him more than she already did, but somehow, hearing him admit that he had been holding back for so long only made her desire for him stronger.
Jeonghan’s hands slid up her sides, pushing the wet fabric of her shirt higher, his fingers skimming the bare skin of her stomach. “You’re driving me crazy, Bae Jiyeon,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion and desire as his lips found hers again, their kiss deeper, more urgent than before.
Luna’s hands slipped into his hair, tugging him closer as she kissed him back with equal fervor, her mind racing with the realization that they were finally here, that everything they had held back for so long was finally pouring out between them, unstoppable, uncontrollable.
“I don’t want to stop,” Jeonghan whispered against her lips, his hands trembling slightly as he cupped her face, his thumb brushing her bottom lip. “I don’t think I can.”
Luna’s heart pounded in her chest as she looked up at him, her breath coming in short, ragged bursts. “Then don’t,” she whispered back, her voice filled with the same desperation, the same need that had been building between them for years.
Jeonghan’s eyes darkened at her words, his hand sliding into her hair as he kissed her again, harder this time, more possessive. His other hand trailed down her side, pulling her closer until there was no space left between them.
Every kiss, every touch, felt like a promise— one that neither of them was willing to break. The world outside their bubble no longer existed. It was just them— Jeonghan and Luna— finally giving in to the undeniable connection they had tried so hard to resist for years.
The heat between them was unbearable, and consuming, and neither of them cared about the consequences anymore.
They had waited long enough.
Jeonghan's lips were relentless, his hands roaming over her with a desperation that mirrored her own. Luna's fingers curled into his hair, tugging gently as she kissed him back with equal fervor. They had waited so long for this moment, and now that it was here, neither of them wanted it to end.
Jeonghan's hands slid down her back, pulling her even closer as if he wanted to merge their bodies into one. Luna's breath hitched as she felt his desire matching her own, his lips moving against hers with a hunger that left her dizzy.
His touch was electric, his kisses like a drug she couldn't get enough of. She wanted more— needed more of him.
Their kisses grew deeper, more intense as if they were trying to communicate everything they had left unsaid for years through their touch alone.
Luna's hands roamed over his chest, and his shoulders, memorizing the feel of him, the warmth of his skin. Jeonghan's fingers traced patterns on her back, his lips trailing kisses along her jaw, down her neck, sending shivers down her spine.
Jeonghan pulled away slightly, his breath still mingling with hers, his eyes searching her face for any sign of hesitation.
The tension between them still buzzed in the air, but now there was a softness there, a quiet moment of clarity that hung heavy between their shared breaths. His hand came up to cup her cheek, his thumb brushing gently against her skin as if he was grounding himself in her presence, ensuring she was okay.
“Jiyeon…” Jeonghan’s voice was soft now, barely above a whisper, but it carried the weight of everything that had happened between them over the years. “If we do this…” He paused, his dark eyes locking with hers, the intensity in them impossible to miss. “You’re mine.”
There it was— Jeonghan’s possessiveness laid out in a simple, yet potent statement.
It wasn’t a question, and it wasn’t a plea.
It was a declaration, one that carried the kind of certainty that had always been a part of him, but now it was directed solely at her.
His gaze didn’t waver, waiting for her response.
For a moment, Luna just blinked, still catching her breath, feeling the heat of his words settling into her. She could feel the intensity of his claim, but it didn’t faze her— she wasn’t the type to be overwhelmed. If anything, it only fueled her.
A small, almost mischievous smirk tugged at the corners of her lips as she tilted her head slightly, her eyes gleaming with that familiar spark of defiance he loved so much.
“Yours, huh?” She raised an eyebrow, voice dripping with that quick wit and teasing edge she wielded so well. “Last I checked, I don’t remember signing any contracts.”
Jeonghan let out a breathy chuckle, his thumb tracing the curve of her jaw. “Oh, I’m pretty sure you signed it the moment you let me kiss you,” he cooed, his tone smooth and teasing, though there was no mistaking the seriousness underlying his words. “But if you need a reminder, I can always make it official.”
Luna’s heart raced as he spoke, the familiar push and pull between them sending her mind into overdrive. She liked the way he challenged her, the way he never let her have the last word easily.
But she wasn’t about to back down. Her eyes narrowed playfully, and she leaned in just a little, her voice dropping into a near whisper as she fired back, “You’ll have to convince me, Hannie.”
Jeonghan grinned, leaning his forehead against hers as a soft laugh escaped him, the warmth of it rolling through the charged air between them. “That’s what I love about you,” he murmured, his voice dipping lower, soft and almost condescending in its teasing tone. “You never make it easy.
Jeonghan tilted his head slightly, his breath brushing against her lips again, his fingers gently stroking her cheek as he leaned in, the weight of his words sinking in deeper. “But I wasn’t asking you to make it easy. I like a challenge.” His voice was almost a purr now, each word laced with the kind of softness that only he could pull off while still holding all the control.
“I always win in the end anyway.”
Luna felt a shiver run down her spine at his words, the sensation of his breath on her skin and the teasing tone in his voice doing things to her that she couldn’t fully explain.
Her witty retort died on her tongue, and for the second time today in their back-and-forth, she found herself at a loss for words, simply staring into his eyes.
And Jeonghan knew it— he saw the way her resolve wavered, just for a second, and his smirk deepened, his thumb brushing against her bottom lip.
“What’s wrong, pretty girl?” he cooed softly, his voice dripping with that condescending baby talk he knew always got to her. “Hm? You okay?”
Luna’s heart skipped a beat, her breath catching as she struggled to regain her composure, but the look in his eyes, the way his voice curled around her name, had her completely undone.
All she could manage was a quiet, “Shut up, Yoon Jeonghan.”
Jeonghan grinned, leaning in even closer until his lips were just barely grazing hers, their breaths mingling in the small space between them. "I love when you look at me like that... all helpless. You're not as tough as you pretend to be, are you?"
"Jeonghan, please... stop teasing me." Luna’s voice was soft and breathy, almost pleading as she tugged at his shirt, unable to handle how slowly he was drawing everything out.
“No? You don’t like it? I thought you liked it, hm?”Jeonghan teasingly whispered against her lips, his voice full of knowing condescension, taunting her with the fact that she always gave in to him. “It’s not fun when you’re the one being teased, huh?
Jeonghan lowered his head slowly, the glint in his eyes unmistakable as he taunted her with a soft, knowing smirk. His face hovered just inches above hers, his breath warm against her skin. She felt the weight of his gaze, heavy and teasing, as he tilted his head, pretending to consider her predicament. The moment stretched on, tension wrapping around them like a vice.
"So quiet now..." His voice was a low purr, almost a coo, dripping with condescension. He paused deliberately, letting his words sink in before speaking again. "Where's all that fire from earlier, Nana-ya?"
The nickname came out in a soft sing-song, teasing her further as his fingers brushed a stray lock of hair away from her flushed face.
Luna looked up at him, her wide eyes almost innocent, her lips parted in the slightest pout. Her heart raced in her chest, a mix of frustration and need swirling within her. "I can't handle it when you're like this... you know that." Her voice was barely a whisper, trembling with a soft, frustrated whine as she pressed her forehead against his chest, her body melting into him, overwhelmed by how effortlessly he unraveled her.
Her words seemed to ignite something in Jeonghan, the way her small, innocent plea tugged at his heart. He couldn't help the way his lips curved into a smirk, his fingers instinctively moving to caress her hair.
"Aw, my poor baby," he cooed, his tone laced with amusement as he stroked her hair, letting his fingertips trace lightly over her scalp. "You really can't handle it, huh?" He whispered into her hair, his voice soft but teasing.
His heart swelled at the way she softened under his touch, completely pliable, like she was made for him to tease, to protect, to hold.
Jeonghan exhaled slowly, giving in to the tenderness that washed over him in waves.
"Alright, alright... come here." His voice softened as he leaned down and scooped her into his arms effortlessly, his strong grip making her feel weightless. She let out a tiny gasp, her arms instinctively wrapping around his neck while he lifted her as if she were made of air.
Her legs wrapped around his waist, her body pressed against him as he held her securely, cradling her as if she were the most precious thing in his world. His chest was warm, the steady beat of his heart against hers calming the storm that had raged moments earlier.
Jeonghan pressed a soft kiss to her forehead, his lips lingering as he whispered, "You know I can't resist you when you're like this." His tone was gentle now, the teasing edge replaced by something softer, more protective. He shifted her weight in his arms as he carried her across the room, their bodies still so close, her head resting on his shoulder as she nestled into the crook of his neck.
He pushed open the door to his bedroom with his foot, the soft creak of the door the only sound between them. The room was dimly lit, the soft glow of moonlight filtering in through the curtains, casting a pale light over the bed. Jeonghan gently lowered her onto the bed, his hands never leaving her as he carefully settled her down on the plush mattress.
Luna's fingers clung to his shirt, her body still tingling from his touch. She looked up at him, her lips slightly parted as if she didn't want to let go of him just yet.
Jeonghan chuckled softly, "Look at you... so pretty for me. You know I can't resist when you're like this, don't you?" He gently stroked her hair, his voice filled with doting affection, his eyes tracing her features like he couldn't get enough.
Luna's impatient lips found their way along the line of his jaw, teasing, swirling, tasting; her tangled curls brushing against his cheek like a lover's tender caress.
Jeonghan was intoxicated; by her, by this delicious moment that felt like a dream.
His hands, those gentle, long-fingered hands were gently removing her jacket with such finesse, now gripped her hips tightly, pulling her closer against him. He could feel her heat through the thin fabric of her attire, and he groaned, a sound that was swallowed by their ravenous kisses.
Luna gasped, her head tilting back to expose the long, elegant line of her throat. Jeonghan took advantage, his lips and teeth tracing a path of fire down to the hollow at the base of her neck.
Her hands, previously knotted in Jeonghan’s hair, now clawed at his shoulders, her nails digging into the fabric of his shirt. He could feel her pulse racing, matching the frantic beat of his own heart.
"Oppa... please. I need you.” Luna’s was voice breathy, a little whimper escaping her as she reached for him, the need in her words almost unbearable.
"Fuck, Jiyeonie," he muttered, his voice a low growl against her skin. "You’re gonna kill me."
"Please, Hannie... I'll be good." Luna breathed out a small, pleading whimper as she promised obedience, her tone soft and submissive, wanting nothing more than to please him. Her legs wrapped around his waist, pulling him flush against her. He could feel her, hot and wet even through their drenched clothes, and it took every ounce of his self-control not to grind against her like a teenager.
Bae Jiyeon was trying to kill Yoon Jeonghan.
He was sure of it.
"Han," she whimpered, her fingers tangling in his hair, tugging sharply. "Please."
"Please what? Hm," he teased, his voice a low purr. "Tell me what you want."
Luna’s breath hitched, her eyes fluttering closed for a moment before snapping open again, meeting his gaze. "I want... I want you to take me… please.”
“Take you where? Disneyland?” Jeonghan couldn’t help himself as he smirked down at Luna who was now looking at him with a look mixed with frustration and agitation. “Tell me.”
"Oppa, I'm trying... but you make it so hard." Luna released a soft, frustrated whisper as she whined, biting her lip in frustration, overwhelmed by the way he is teasing her.
“Tell me what you want, pretty girl. You can do it. Tell me and I’ll do anything.” Jeonghan cooed as he caressed her cheeks.
Luna swallowed hard, her eyes darkening with desire.
"Fuck me, Hannie. I want you, please.” Luna whispered, her voice barely audible yet laden with desire. Her words were like a matchstick set alight, igniting a wildfire within him.
A jolt of electricity shot through Jeonghan at her words, his cock straining painfully against his zipper. He gripped her chin, tilting her head up, forcing her to meet his gaze. "Say it again," he demanded, his voice rough.
“Fuck me,” Luna said in an instant, desperately.
Jeonghan wasted no time. He grabbed her legs which were still wrapped around his waist. With a desperate and impatient flurry of movement, clothes started flying from all over the room, leaving them both bare and even more desperate than ever.
Jeonghan sat down on the bed, pulling Luna upward onto his lap, and straddling him. His hands roamed her body, cupping her breasts, squeezing them gently.
Luna arched into his touch, a soft moan escaping her lips. He could feel her nipples hardening, pressing against his palms, begging for his mouth.
Jeonghan gripped her tighter against him, her legs wrapping around his waist, his hands gripping her ass. He could feel her heat against his stomach, her wetness coating him. He groaned, his head dipping down to capture her nipple in his mouth.
He sucked hard, his tongue flicking over the sensitive bud, making Luna squirm in his arms. She arched her back, pushing herself further into his mouth, her fingers tangling in his hair.
"Fuck, Han," she panted, her hips grinding against him. "I need you inside me.
Jeonghan didn't need any more encouragement. He released her nipple with a pop, his hands shifting to position himself at her entrance. He looked into her eyes, seeing the same hunger reflected back at him. Then, with one swift thrust, he pushed inside her.
"Fuck, Jiyeon," he breathed, his voice ragged. "You feel incredible."
Luna could only whimper in response, her body pulsing around him. She could feel every inch of him, filling her completely. She shifted her hips, trying to take him even deeper.
"Shhh, baby... no need to rush. We have all night. Let me take care of you." Jeonghan cooed softly as he slowed her down, his hands steady on her waist, his voice purring as if soothing her into submission.
“Han…” Luna’s voice was a soft whimper as she buried her face in his neck, feeling exposed and vulnerable, surrendering herself completely to him.
Jeonghan groaned, his control snapping.
He began to move faster, his hips thrusting forward in a steady rhythm. Luna matched his pace, her body rocking against his, their skin slapping together in a filthy symphony. The sound of their fucking filled the room, punctuated by their labored breaths and moans.
"Fuck, Hannie…. feels so good…" Luna gasped, her head thrown back. “Please… fast– fuck,”
"You don't need to say anything, angel. I already know. Just let me hear those pretty little sounds you make for me." Jeonghan spoke softly against her ear, his voice thick with teasing affection as he kissed her neck, enjoying how she melted into his touch.
Jeonghan’s grip on her ass tightened. He slammed into her, his cock hitting that sweet spot deep inside her, making her cry out.
"Yes! Just like that, Han!" she panted, her fingers digging into his back, her legs wrapping tighter around his waist, urging him on.
“Yeah? Just like this, baby?” Jeonghan was lost in the sensation of her, the way she gripped him, the way her body moved in sync with his. He could feel the sweat dripping down his back, his arms burning from the effort, but he didn't care.
He wanted more. He wanted all of her.
"You're driving me crazy, Hannie..." Luna breathed out with a whimper, her fingers clutching at his shoulders as she squirmed on top of him, feeling like she was losing control.
Jeonghan had the audacity to chuckle as shifted his angle, making sure to hit her clit with each thrust.
Luna purred as she wrapped her arms tighter around his neck, her fingers playing with the hair at the nape of his neck. She could feel his heart beating against her chest. She shifted slightly, grinding against him, matching his thrusts making him groan.
"Fuck, Jiyeon," he muttered, his grip on her tightening. "Stop that or I'll cum."
Luna just giggled, her lips tracing the line of his jaw. "You promise?" she whispered, her breath hot against his ear.
“Brat,” Jeonghan growled, his cock slipping out of her, making her whimper at the loss. But before she could protest, he grabbed her hips, flipping her onto her hands and knees. Luna gasped, her ass high in the air, her face pressed into the mattress.
"Is this what you want, pretty angel?" Jeonghan asked, his voice a low rumble behind her.
Luna could feel his breath on her ass, his fingers digging into her hips.
"Yes," she panted, her face still pressed into the mattress before she lifted her head up to turn back and look at him, her doe eyes glistening in pleasure.
"I just want to make you happy... don’t you want that?" Luna’s voice was quiet and trembling, filled with vulnerability as she looked up at him with wide, pleading eyes, needing his approval.
Jeonghan raised an eyebrow, his fingers caressing the soft flesh of her ass slow and steady. "Yeah? You want to make me happy, pretty girl?" he asked, his voice a lazy drawl. "Give me anything I want?”
“Give you anything you want. Be whatever you want.” Luna arched her back downwards like a cat stretching.
Jeonghan threw his head back, groaning, his hands spreading her ass cheeks apart, giving him a clear view of her glistening pussy. Luna shivered at the exposure, her body aching with anticipation.
He chuckled a dark sound that sent shivers down her spine. “Anything?”
“You're always teasing me, but you know I'll do anything for you, Han…” Luna released a soft, almost resigned whimper as she melted into his touch, accepting her place with a shy smile, letting herself be vulnerable for him.
"Fuck," Jeonghan muttered, his thumb tracing the seam of her pussy, gathering her wetness. "You're so fucking wet.”
“Look at you, dripping for me," He said, his voice laced with desire as he rubbed her wetness, making Luna gasp.
"Aww, baby... you're shaking. Don't worry, I've got you. I always have you. I’ll take care of you like I promised." Jeonghan cooed in a soft, condescending way as he held her leaned down on top of her, his arm wrapped around her neck, holding her close, his other hand soothingly stroking her back while his voice dipped into a protective, possessive tone.
Luna moaned, her face now pressed into the mattress, her hands fisting the sheets beneath her as Jeonghan played with her clit. "Yes please… please take care of me,” she hissed, her body arching against his touch.
Jeonghan smirked, his thumb circling her clit faster, making her gasp. "Like this, Nana-ya?" he asked, his voice soft almost as if he was singing a song to her. "You want me to fuck you like this?”
"Yes," she panted, her body writhing against his touch. "I want you to fuck me like this, oppa.” Luna's voice was a sultry purr, her body still quivering from his touch.
Jeonghan's smirk widened, his thumb was replaced by two fingers now pumping in and out of her hole, making her gasp. "You're a dirty girl, Nana-ya," he said in a tone as if he was scolding her yet his voice also filled with approval. “I didn’t know you had it in you.”
Luna could only whimper in response, her body aching with need. She could feel Jeonghan's hard cock pressed against her thigh, hot and heavy. She wanted it back inside her, she wanted to feel him stretching her, filling her completely.
"Please, Han," she begged, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jeonghan growled, his fingers slipping out of her, making her whimper at the loss as he in turn placed his fingers in his mouth. "You taste even sweeter than I thought. Just like I imagined... but better."
But before Luna could impatiently whine once more, Jeonghan grabbed his cock, positioning it at her entrance. Luna could feel the thick head pressing against her, making her squirm with anticipation.
"Baby," Jeonghan muttered, "You're so fucking tight.” His fingers dug into her hips as he slowly pushed himself deeper into her, inch by inch. Luna moaned, her body stretching to accommodate his size, her nails digging into the sheets beneath her.
"Fuck, Han. You're so big," she gasped, her body trembling as he filled her completely in this position. Jeonghan chuckled, his hips starting to move, sliding his cock in and out of her in a slow, steady rhythm.
"Too much for you, baby?" he taunted, his voice laced with desire. "You can take it for me, Jiyeonie. You can take all of me."
Luna moaned, her body adjusting to his size once again as she clenched around him. "Yes, I can," she hissed, pushing back against him, taking him even deeper. “For you.”
Jeonghan groaned, his hips starting to move faster, his cock sliding in and out of her in a steady rhythm. "Fuck, Luna," he growled, his fingers digging into her hips. "You feel so fucking good.”
“Hannie, just like that," Luna panted, her hips moving in sync with his thrusts, taking cock deeper into her. Jeonghan could feel her walls clenching around him, her pleasure building with each thrust.
“Like a goddamn vice, squeezing me," Jeonghan groaned, his fingers digging into her hips as he pounded on her.
“Oppa… Han– fuck,” Luna moaned, her body trembling as he filled her, stretching her, hitting places she didn't know existed. “Jeonghan.”
"Such a good girl for me... that's it. Let me hear you say my name." Jeonghan murmured softly as he watched her, his tone gentle but commanding, savoring the control he had over her at that moment.
"Hannie… fuck," she gasped, her fingers clawing at the bedsheets, her back arching as he started to pick up the pace. “It's too much." Luna gasped, her breath coming in short, sharp bursts as Jeonghan's cock slid in and out of her in a steady, punishing rhythm. Each thrust hit just the right spot, sending jolts of pleasure coursing through her veins, making her toes curl and her eyes roll back.
"Too much what, Nana-ya?" Jeonghan gritted out, his fingers digging into her hips, pulling her back onto him with each thrust. "Too much of my cock? Too much pleasure?"
Luna moaned, her head dropping down, her hair hiding her face. "All of it. It's all too much. It's overwhelming," She panted, her body quivering as Jeonghan's cock slammed into her, again and again, each thrust driving her closer to the edge.
He growled, his fingers tangling in her hair, pulling her head back, exposing her neck to his lips and teeth. "Overwhelming in a good way, right, angel?" he murmured, his voice a low, sultry drawl against her skin. "You like it when I fuck you like this, don't you? Hm? You're made for me, Bae Jiyeon.”
Luna could only moan and tremble. “Oppa…”
“Does it feel good, pretty?" Jeonghan's question was laced with intent and purpose, and Luna gasped at the sound of it in the dim room. His cock was buried deep inside her, and it was like nothing she had ever experienced before.
It felt powerful, raw, and undeniably intimate.
"Yes...yes, Han," she breathed, her hands gripping the bedsheets as her hips butted against his in rhythm with his thrusts. Her body was on fire, every nerve ending alight with pleasure.
Jeonghan paused for a second before placing kisses on her back and spinning her around to lay on her back, catching Luna off guard.
“You’re so pretty,” Jeonghan purred as he placed his arms at each side of her head, laying in between his arms before he started thrusting harder in her.
Every time he thrust into her, she felt a wave of ecstasy surge through her body, building higher and higher with each stroke.
"Baby— Luna, I want to feel you cum," Jeonghan groaned, his rhythm intensifying as he reached for her climax alongside her.
Luna could only whimper in response as waves of bliss crashed over her. Her fingers curled into fists as her body tensed, every muscle tightening, every nerve amplifying the pulsating sensation ripping through her.
"Oh God, Hannie," she moaned, her voice raw and desperate, "I'm there...oh my— fuck, I'm close!" Her body shook and arched, her head thrown back as she came, her cries muffled by the flesh of Jeonghan’s neck as she hid her face.
"Don't look away... keep your eyes on me, Jiyeonie. I want to see every reaction." Jeonghan said in a soft yet commanding voice as his fingers traced the skin on the back of her neck, guiding Luna’s face out of his neck, loving the vulnerability in her gaze as he held her captive with his words.
"Let me see those pretty eyes... There we go. There’s my girl." He purred softly as he tilted her chin up, guiding her to meet his gaze, his tone filled with a tender yet teasing affection that made her heart race as he continued pounding into her.
“I’m close, Han,” Luna moaned as she tightened her grasp on him.
“Let go, baby. Come on, you can do it,” Jeonghan's thrusts became harder and faster, his body slapping against Luna’s. She could feel her breasts bouncing with every movement, and her nipples hardened as she arched her back, moaning in pleasure.
Jeonghan was reaching the edge as well, his breath coming in ragged gasps, his muscles tensing. Luna knew he was on the brink, and she wanted to feel him explode inside her.
Luna dug her nails into his back, urging him on. "Hannie oppa, cum in me please,” she begged, her hips bucking up to meet his. “I’m close.”
“I’ll cum in you, pretty angel. Anything you want.” Jeonghan gave a final, powerful thrust and Luna felt him erupt inside of her, his seed filling him up as she released as well with a shudder. Her body trembled with the intensity of the orgasm.
Jeonghan groaned in satisfaction, his seed pulsing from his cock, spilling deep inside her as she milked him, her walls clamping down on him, working against his thrusting hips. He collapsed onto Luna, their bodies a tangled mess of limbs and sweat. Luna lay on her back, her heart pounding in her chest, her breaths coming in sporadic gasps.
Jeonghan kissed Luna’s neck, his lips moist and soft against her skin. "Fuck, Bae Jiyeon, you make me feel crazy," he murmured, his breath hot on her ear.
Jeonghan's weight on top of her felt heavy and comforting, and she curled her fingers into the fabric beneath her. She looked up at him, her eyes hazy with lust and pleasure. "You…" she gasped trailing off, her voice still ragged with biss.
"You are magnificent, Jiyeon-ah," Jeonghan replied, his voice soft but with an underlying intensity that made her shiver.
He shifted off her, lying on his side next to her. He brushed a loose curl away from her face, tucking it behind her ear. "See? I told you... you’re made for me.” He whispered with a possessive edge as he looked into her eyes, his fingers gently tracing her jawline, the weight of his claim lingering in the air.
Luna let out a soft laugh, her hand traveling down his chest and settling on his hip as she hid her face in his chest, a blushing mess.
“Stop hiding from me, Nana-ya,” Jeonghan placed a kiss on top of her head as his warm fingers drew circles on her hip. “Why are you shy all of a sudden? Hm?”
“Stop,” Luna playful whined, her pout evident in her tone, though the affection lacing her words betrayed how much she loved the attention he gave her.
"You like it when I talk to you like this, don't you? It's okay, you don't have to hide it. I can tell." Jeonghan was practically purring at her, his voice dripping with teasing condescension, savoring the way she responded to his baby talk and teasing words.
“You’re so fucking annoying, Yoon Jeonghan,” Luna huffed as she removed her face off his chest to playfully glare at him only to be met by Jeonghan’s smug face already looking down at her.
A slow, lazy smile spread across Jeonghan’s lips, and he let out a low hum, clearly amused by her response. He leaned in closer, his lips brushing her ear as he whispered, “How do you feel, pretty girl?”
Luna could feel her pulse quicken at the nearness of him, but she wasn’t about to let him win this easily. “I’m fine. I feel fine,” she said coolly, shrugging her shoulders like this was just another casual conversation.
Jeonghan chuckled, a low sound that reverberated through his chest. “You’re fine?” he repeated, his tone teasing, almost mocking. “I just rocked your fucking world and made you mine, and all you’ve got is ‘I’m fine?”
Luna turned to face him fully, her eyes narrowing just slightly as she smirked. “What else do you want me to say? Write a love letter?” she quipped back, not missing a beat.
Jeonghan laughed softly, his fingers trailing down her arm in a way that sent shivers down her spine. “You don’t have to say anything, Jiyeonie,” he said, his voice dropping an octave, his teasing tone gone, replaced by something far more direct. “You already did.”
Luna raised an eyebrow at that, a silent challenge in her eyes. “Oh? And what exactly did I say?”
Jeonghan’s smirk widened, and without breaking eye contact, he leaned in close— too close, his breath warm against her lips. “You’re still here, aren’t you?”
The words hung in the air between them, simple but heavy. Luna didn’t have a quick comeback this time. Her heart skipped a beat, not because of the weight of the situation, but because he said it so nonchalantly like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Jeonghan pulled back just slightly, watching her reaction with that same unreadable expression. “So… you tell me. What does that mean?”
Luna stared at him, feeling the weight of his words sink in. She could feel her defenses crumbling, but she wasn’t ready to give him the satisfaction of knowing that. “Maybe I just didn’t want to leave before breakfast tomorrow morning,” she shot back, keeping her voice light, and playful.
Jeonghan laughed again, shaking his head as he rested his forehead against hers. “Maybe. Or maybe… you’re not quite done with me yet.”
Luna rolled her eyes, though a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips. “You’ve got an answer for everything, don’t you?”
Jeonghan grinned, pulling her closer. “I have an answer for you, yeah.” He pressed a quick kiss to her lips before pulling back with that same infuriating smile. “Get used to it.”
The words were casual, almost tossed out as an afterthought. But they carried weight— an unspoken promise. And as Luna lay there, wrapped in his arms, she couldn’t help but think that maybe, just maybe, she didn’t mind getting used to it after all.
In the quiet aftermath, as the weight of everything settled between them, it was clear that this wasn’t just another fleeting moment or a secret whispered in the dark.
And just like that, Luna who started as his English Love Affair had quickly turned into something far less foreign— and far more impossible to forget.
There was no turning back— this was no longer a story of if only, but of everything that came after.

Im glad to see you answer my question<3
So could you write maknae 14th member but not like to young cuz it is suggestive so maybe a few months younger than dino.
But basically could you do where all of her members jokingly slap her ass and she finds it annoying but they don’t do it to just her. However its mostly her, and they do it alot to her. One day she sees that her ass is bruised and i want to know how the members would react if she told them or if she was so angry and didn’t tell them and they saw signs like her wincing when sitting down. Could you please not do individual reactions.
Thanks for considering my request and thank you if you do it🤍

lmk if I missed anything!
As the 14th member of Seventeen, just a few months younger than Dino, you were used to the chaos. The teasing, the loudness, the shared inside jokes. You could dish it just as well as you could take it. But there was one running joke that you really couldn’t stand anymore.
The butt slaps.
It started out as a playful thing, something everyone did from time to time. A little smack after a good rehearsal, a joking hit in the dorms, during vlives, whatever. They did it to each other too, but for some reason, you were the go-to target. Maybe because you always reacted. Maybe because you were the youngest. Either way, it got old fast.
Lately, it felt like every time you turned around, someone’s palm was flying at you. Even when you clearly weren’t in the mood, someone would still do it, laughing like it was nothing.
But this time? This time, it wasn’t funny.
You’d noticed the bruise the night before. Faint at first, but definitely there. Now, it was worse. Dark purple and sore as hell. Sitting down hurt. Stretching hurt. Even lying on your side was uncomfortable. You didn’t say anything, though. Not yet. You didn’t want to sound overly sensitive, but damn, it was pissing you off.
So you ignored everyone during breakfast. You barely spoke during practice. You winced when you sat, flinched when one of the members moved behind you, and gave a flat look when one of them raised a hand like they might smack you again. That was the moment it started to click.
They weren’t dumb. You weren’t smiling. You weren’t playing along.
And you were clearly mad.
Practice ended early. No one really said why, but the vibe was off. Quiet. Uneasy. You were the first to grab your bag and head out.
Later that night, you were curled up on the couch with your legs tucked under you, scrolling through your phone and trying to decompress. The dorm felt weirdly quiet. Then, one by one, the boys started filtering in. Not in a dramatic confrontation kind of way, but in that awkward we-know-we-messed-up way.
They didn’t really say much at first. Just sat down around you, avoiding your eyes. Someone finally mumbled, “We didn’t realize you were actually hurt.”
Another added, “We didn’t mean to take it too far.”
You stayed quiet for a second, then sighed. “It’s been too far for a while.”
That one hit. You saw it in their faces. The guilt. The regret. No one tried to defend themselves, and you appreciated that.
Then one of them gently placed a little heat pack next to you. Another handed you your favorite drink from the fridge. Someone even tossed a fuzzy blanket over your shoulders without saying a word.
You were still a little mad, but it was hard to stay mad when they were being this soft about it.
Eventually, you leaned back into the couch and muttered, “You’re all idiots.”
Someone snorted. “But we’re your idiots.”
And you couldn’t help it. You smiled.
It wasn’t just the end of the butt-slap joke. It was the start of them being more careful, more thoughtful. The teasing didn’t stop, but it changed. They learned where the line was. And they made sure, from that day on, that their jokes never came at your expense.
And honestly? That meant more than any apology ever could.
the next morning
You weren’t expecting much when you woke up. Maybe a few awkward glances, maybe someone pretending like nothing happened. But when you walked into the kitchen, still groggy and dragging your feet, you froze.
The dining table was actually set. Real plates, not takeout containers. Pancakes, eggs, fruit, and your favorite coffee already poured into your usual mug. Someone had even peeled an orange for you.
You stared. "Did someone die?"
A few of them chuckled under their breath
"Nahh" one of them said, rubbing the back of his neck. "We just thought... breakfast. Together. As a team."
"Mingyu did most of it," wonwoo confessed, not even pretending to take credit.
"Hey!! I peeled the oranges," jeonghan added, looking proud of himself.
There was a pause. dokyeom looked over to you, eyes a little softer than usual.
"We wanted to make it up to you. For pushing things too far."
You stood there for a second. Still tired. Still kind of annoyed. But your chest loosened a little. The food smelled good. The effort was real. They looked genuinely sorry.
"You were annoying," you said, sitting down.
A quiet wave of agreement passed through the room.
"But this is nice."
You picked up your fork and started eating without saying anything else. That alone made a few of them relax. hao caught your eye, just for a second, and when you gave the tiniest smile, he smiled back.
It wasn’t everything, but it was enough for now.
Getting back at them
You didn’t plan it, really. It just sort of happened.
A few days had passed since the whole bruise situation. Things had settled back into their usual rhythm. No one dared smack you again, which was great. But the energy had shifted too. The guys were noticeably gentler, more careful with their jokes. It was sweet, honestly. But that didn’t mean you were going to let them off completely.
So you started pushing back. Quietly. Pettily. Playfully.
During vocal practice, one of them hit a wrong note and winced. You leaned in with a straight face and said, “That note sounded bruised. Need ice?”
Another time, someone reached over your head to grab something and accidentally bumped into you. You clutched your side and gasped like you’d been tackled, then gave him a look so dramatic he practically begged you not to rat him out.
They got nervous real quick.
You didn’t do it all the time. Just often enough to remind them. A dramatic flinch here, an exaggerated sigh when someone got too close, an innocent “Oh, I thought we weren’t touching me anymore?” that made them instantly back up with their hands raised.
It wasn’t about payback. Not really. It was about taking your space back, with a smile.
And the best part? They took it all. No complaints. No teasing. If anything, they played along. Sometimes a member would fake cry when you “called them out.” Others would offer their snacks like peace offerings before even saying hi.
One night at the dorm, you caught them watching you more carefully than usual. You were curled up on the couch, blanket over your legs, scrolling your phone while someone rubbed circles on your back.
“You really forgave us, huh?” joshua asked, a little tentative.
You looked up and nodded.
“Yeah. But I’ll still mess with you a little longer.”
He smiled. “Fair.”
They didn’t mind. You were still their little sister. Just one they finally listened to better.
--
Practice was dragging. Everyone was tired, and your body was still recovering. During a quick break, you bent over to tie your shoe and winced without meaning to.
One of the choreographers looked over and joked, "Still sore? Or are you just milking it?"
He didn’t mean anything by it. It was a throwaway comment. But before you could even open your mouth, Hoshi stepped in.
"She’s fine," he said, not looking away. "We’re all worn out."
There wasn’t any heat in his voice. Just something quiet and clear. The choreographer nodded and let it go without pushing further.
When you sat back down, hoshi dropped onto the bench beside you. He nudged your leg with his knee, just enough to get your attention.
"You good?"
You gave a small nod. "Still a little sore, but yeah. I’m fine."
He was quiet for a moment. Then he leaned against your shoulder, barely for a second, and pulled away again like it hadn’t happened.
"You don’t have to brush stuff off anymore. Not with us."
That part stayed with you. More than any apology. More than breakfast. Just someone choosing to see you clearly and reminding you that your discomfort mattered.

𖥔 WORN THIN . masterlist

SYNOPSIS: demi pushes herself too hard preparing for seventeen’s comeback, but after returning home late and sick, minghao takes care of her despite the tension between them.
TIMELINE: 2021
WARNINGS: mentions of exhaustion/self care issues. that’s it (i think)
demi and minghao’s emotionally distant era. . . also send requests pleaseeee >_< lowkey struggling on what to write so save me from disappearing for like a month !!
demi was drained — exhausted down to her bones.
her entire body ached, muscles stiff and trembling faintly as she continued to run over the choreography. she knew she was overworking herself, and she knew that she should have listened to s.coups insisting for her to come back to the dorms with him a few hours earlier. perhaps she wouldn’t feel so week if she did. but she was stubborn, and she was already falling behind due to her packed schedule.
there was no time to rest, especially not when ‘your choice’ was set to be released in just a few months time.
she barely noticed s.coups standing near the door, bag slung over his shoulder with his arms crossed over his chest. it wasn’t hard to tell he was unhappy — the slight crease between his brows and the pout on his lips made everything obvious.
“kyra.”
a sigh slipped past her lips as she walked over to the laptop in the corner, fingers reaching to the spacebar to pause the music. she ran a hand through her hair and turned to look at him.
“i know what you’re gonna say,” she muttered.
“then you should know you should listen.”
she huffed, rubbing at her face before shaking her head. “i won’t stay long.”
lie. it was a lie, and she knew it. demi could tell that s.coups had heard the lie in her voice too. she could see his expression, could see the disappointment spread on his face. it wasnt anger, not really, but it was close enough to make her stomach tighten. he wasn’t angry with her, but she could tell he was frustrated — worried, even, and that made it worse.
“you said that when the others left.” he replied, his tone flat as he checked the time on his phone. “that was almost two hours ago, and you’ve been going over the choreography longer than anyone else these past few weeks.”
her throat tightened and she could feel his eyes on her, but she refused to meet them.
“i mean it this time, cheol.” she smiled faintly, her voice still a little strained yet she still held onto the lie. her words didn’t sound covincing, not anymore, not even to herself. she could already feel her body protesting from the hours she’d been pushing herself each day. could feel the way the exhaustion was starting to build up in her limbs, the way it was catching in her breath.
there was a long pause. s.coups didn’t respond immediately, he just stood there, arms still crossed over his chest, studying her like he could see right through her (he could). demi could practically hear the thoughts running through his head — you’re pushing yourself too far, you should rest, take a break for once.
he was right, though.
she was tired.
s.coups exhaled slowly, the sound more of a tired sigh than anything else . “don’t come back home too late.” he said quietly. “this is the only time i’m letting you stay a little longer.”
demi pressed her lips together, staring at the floor. it was unusual — seungcheol letting her stay longer than she already had. she only nodded, not looking up until she heard the door to the practice room click shut.
it was past 3 a.m by the time demi got back to the dorms. she could feel like fabric of her sweater sticking uncomfortably to her skin, her legs were dragging and sluggish and her arms felt weak, barely able to hold her bag up.
her head throbbed faintly, a dull pounding behind her temples. her throat was raw, still sore from the hours she’d spent rehearsing her lines singing. her breath came shallow, each inhale slightly uneven. and beneath the clammy chill of her skin she could feel the heat prickling at the edges of her face, feverish.
she gulped, setting her bag down next to the door and walked down the hallway, not bothering to take her shoes off.
she stopped in her tracks when one of the bedroom doors opened just before she passed it, her hands tightening on the sleeves of her sweater as she glanced over.
“demi?” he asked, his voice soft as he moved a little closer.
minghao was there. of course he was.
his hair was mussed slightly, strands falling softly over his forehead. he was dressed in a loose shirt and sweatpants, his voice still a little raspy from sleep. she didn’t want to know why he was awake at this hour; all she could focus on was the fact that he was standing too close, too familiar. she’d been avoiding him for weeks now, frustrated with her own feelings, trying to keep distance.
she didn’t move. she couldn’t. she barely registered how his eyes slowly dragged over her face, taking in everything. he sighed deeply when he caught sight of her glossed over eyes, the faint flush on her cheeks and how she swayed slightly on her feet.
“demitra,” he murmured, reaching out to catch her wrist gently when she almost lost her balance, steadying her before she could fall backwards.
her heart pounded in her chest, her breaths coming sharp and uneven. “you should go back to sleep.” she said, her voice coming out as more of a whisper. her eyes stayed glued to the floor, not daring to meet his gaze.
“coups told me you’d be home late.”
before she could think of a response, he sighed again and turned, gently dragging her along with him. she didnt fight him — her legs were too weak, too heavy, and her chest felt too tight. she let him guide her down the hall, his hand still wrapped loosely around her wrist. she should have pulled away, thats what she had been doing this whole time, no? but she was far too tired to argue with him.
he led her into her room, quietly pushing her door open and pulling her inside. he guided her towards the bed, letting go of her wrist.
“sit down.” he said quietly.
her legs nearly buckled the moment she sat down, her entire body slumping heavily against the mattress.
minghao crouched in front of her, carefully slipping her sneakers off. she didn’t say anything when he gently tugged at the hair tie holding her hair up, releasing the strands so they fell around her shoulders. he suddenly reached up, the back of his hand pressing lightly against her forehead, checking her temperature.
she wanted to scream at him to stop. to stop looking at her like that, to stop making her feel like she had no control over her emotions when she was around him.
she wasn’t used to this — he knew, and he never pushed her talk about her problems until she was ready.
“have you had anything to drink?” he asked softly, setting her shoes down on the shoe rack in the corner of her room.
demi blinked, still dazed from the exhaustion. her throat felt raw, dry — almost painful everytime she breathed. she hadn’t realised just how badly she needed a drink until now. minghao didn’t need to wait to know that her answer was no.
he stood still for a moment, his gaze lingering on her face before he walked out the room. when he left, she let her body sink back against the softness of her bed, the heels of her palms rubbing her eyes. a sigh slipped from her lips as she pulled the cover slightly higher to keep herself warm enough.
a few minutes later (what felt like hours for demi), the door creaked open and the cool touch of a water bottle snapped her out of her thoughts.
minghao was back, the bottle cap twisted off. he held the bottle up to her lips, waiting for her to drink.
she blinked at him for a second until she drank slowly, the water soothing her dry throat. her body felt so relieved after a few sips and she felt her eyelids dropping with each moment. once she finished, minghao set the water bottle down on her bedside table. he paused by the door again, eyes finding hers.
“go to sleep, okay? you’re tired.” he said, his voice almost pleading, as if he wanted to take the weight of the exhaustion off her shoulders, even if only for a little while.
demi’s lips parted in protest. “i need to shower,” she murmured, her voice cracking slightly.
he clicked his tongue, stepping back into the room. “you’re about to pass out, demi. shower when you wake up.” he said, the words coming out more gentle than she had expected.
she didn’t argue, tiredness was already tugging at the edges of her consciousness, pulling her deeper into the sleep she so desperately needed. “okay,” she whispered, not bothering to check if he heard or not.
minghao stood there for a moment longer, waiting until her eyes fluttered closed before he stepped out of the room, leaving the door slightly ajar.

Ohhh aurora and joshua⁉️⁉️ SO CUTE, I'm imagining the members reaction when they got together or when they announced they're having a child. Soooo please can I request that HAHAHAH THANK YOU!! 💖
“Surprise…?”

timeline: january 2022
synopsis: while having a group dinner with the members, aurora is fed up with having to keep her big news to herself. so aurora does what a normal human being would: she tells them duh.
a/n: OMG TY ANON FOR THIS REQUEST! i think this is actually so cute and i had so much fun writing this, so i hope u enjoy reading! also this is not really proofread, so ignore any mistakes you see!
it had been a week since aurora found out she was pregnant. joshua was absolutely ecstatic and had been all over her all week. having kids was one of areum’s biggest dreams, so for it to become a reality was so surreal for her. telling josh was already chaotic, but telling the members? oh it would be something to remember. aurora hadn’t actually figured out a way to tell them, but her heart was telling her to just break it to the boys casually. soo… that’s exactly what she’s planning to do.
“HELLOOO!!” dk’s loud voice filled the hallway as he and the other 11 members made their way into the couple’s penthouse.
“guys. just because i gave you a key to my house, doesn’t mean you can break in unannounced.” aurora playfully rolled her eyes, still walking out to greet the boys.
“but didn’t you invite us over?” hoshi asked genuinely confused.
“she was implying that you were supposed to knock first, dipshit.” woozi reached up to slap the back of the boy’s head.
as the night went on with dinner going smoothly, they all decided to play drinking games. obviously beginning with their famous ninja star game. seungkwan started off the game by throwing the invisible (nonexistent) star at the maknae. each of them imagining the star being launched across the table stabbing dino in his neck. the boy’s face contorted in fake pain, grasping a hand over his neck where he was supposedly hit. this resulted in areum letting out a small giggle, which is quite out of the ordinary because she’s usually able to keep a straight face every time they play this game.
seungkwan let out a sound of disbelief. “oh, noona laughed,” he pointed a finger at her, clearly stating the obvious.
bacardi bacardi bacardi yah, the boys sang. wonwoo poured the girl a shot of alcohol and handed it to her saying, “drink bro.”
she held up a hand, rejecting the glass, “ahh i can’t drink today. can someone else drink for me?”
now this really left the members confused. first, aurora laughed during the star game which she’s normally really good at. and second, she rejected a shot of alcohol.
“yah, what the fuck is wrong with you? are you sick or something?” mingyu asked with a joking tone.
“no, i’m not sick. i’m just… pregnant,” aurora mumbled the last word.
“speak up arie, we can’t hear you,” jeonghan told her.
“i said, i’m not sick. just pregnant.” the girl said much louder this time.
jun’s mouth dropped open, vernon choked on his water, and minghao spat out the bits of ramen in his mouth. it was like the members froze for a second. the boys who are always so loud and rowdy, now silenced by aurora’s sudden confession.
dokyeom was the first to speak up, “are you being for real right now reumie?”
“surprise…?” she shrugged awkwardly as if it wasn’t that big of a deal.
she pulled out the pregnancy test nestled in her hoodie’s pocket to prove that she wasn’t joking. with areum’s confirmation, booseoksoon erupted in excited squeals, the rest running over to the girl to tackle her in a hug. the room filled with oh my god i’m gonna be an uncle, can i be the godfather, and shua hyung’s gonna be a dad? as they all ran around in excitement, seungcheol stood up from where he was at the table and walked over to sit down in the chair next to aurora’s.
the leader embraced her in a warm hug, “does the company know?”
“oh my god cheol. i seriously do not wanna think about the company’s reaction to my pregnancy right now,” she rolled her eyes, breaking away from s.coups’ arms.
he chuckled, “okay okay i’m sorry. i just- i’m just worried for what they’re gonna think about the news.”
“and so am i, but right now i just wanna focus on myself and the baby. i will make sure to tell you when i do tell them,” aurora reassured him.
“if you tell them that is,” seungcheol raised a brow, causing areum to giggle.
after the leader left to go talk to joshua instead, dino slid into his now vacant seat. “areumie noona, are you gonna replace me with your baby?” he questioned genuinely curious.
“no chan, i could never. you will always be my first baby,” after hearing her words, the boy relaxed in his seat.
“GUYS! you know what would be a really good name for the baby, and this goes both ways girl and boy by the way. you could name it hoshi junior. after me AND tigers!”
“hell no. there is no way i’m naming my kid after you,” joshua shook his head.

Hello, i have a request uhm yn the 14th member is getting hate because of her chaos or something, being compared to other demure idol, and then she heard other members talking about it when she heard it she felt hurt and she thought like really deep thought she's being too much so she just went like normal (not normal her but normal to others yk) she's not loud, chaotic, she laughs but not in her way something like that she's not giving silent treatment but she's not giving normal treatment like that she's slowly trying to grow up like others has been saying and the member didn't like it, not one bit then they realize no one is ready or will ever be ready for her to grow up, thank you 🫶🏻
Title: Weight of Words
Masterlist | Part 2
After a week of relentless online hate branding her a "pick-me" and "immature," Y/N, Seventeen’s wild, beloved maknae, overhears her members suggest she "tone it down" and "act her age," shattering her spirit. Pairing: Seventeen x 14th member Genre: heavy angst, with lil bit of fluff
It had been a rough week for Y/N, the 14th member of Seventeen and the group’s beloved maknae. Her chaotic, bubbly energy had always been her trademark—a wild, troublemaking spark that lit up every room she entered. She was loud, wild, and sweet all at once, the kind of person who’d strike up a conversation with a stranger or tease her 13 older brothers without a second thought. The boys adored her for it, and fans had long celebrated her for being a breath of fresh air in the polished world of k-pop.
But now, that same personality was being weaponized against her. It started with a clip from a variety show featuring female artists her age—an event Y/N had been thrilled about, a rare chance to hang out with girls instead of being the lone female in a sea of 13 boys. In the video, she was laughing—really laughing, that signature Y/N cackle—while clapping her hands, her whole body shaking with joy as she bantered with another artist. The other girl laughed too, but softer, more restrained. The cameras naturally zoomed in on Y/N, her bold energy standing out against the quieter, shyer demeanor of the others. Fans had always loved her for being natural. Until they didn’t.
Then came the second clip: Y/N playfully teasing a male idol she’d known for years, tossing a cheeky comment his way with that mischievous grin of hers. It was classic Y/N—harmless, friendly chaos. But the internet twisted it. Suddenly, clips of her were everywhere, stitched together with snarky captions: “Pick-me girl.” “Such a flirt.” “She’s too old to act like this.” “Immature.” “Stop flirting, act your age.” The narrative snowballed, and within days, she was trending for all the wrong reasons. People dissected her every move, calling her attention-seeking, saying she should “act her age” instead of being the wild, loud troublemaker she’d always been.
The group had moved on from dorm life. Sold-out concerts, solo gigs, photoshoots, and flights to far-off countries kept them scattered—some in their own places, some crashing with family or each other. Y/N chose solitude, her own quiet space in Seoul, a refuge from their relentless pace. Rest was a luxury now, not like their debut days when they’d pile into one room and bicker over snacks. She missed it sometimes, but this week, alone felt safer—until it didn’t.
She hadn’t told the members about the hate. They were busy—Hoshi with Woozi locked in the studio, Seungcheol juggling leadership and schedules, Jun acting career. When they met, rare as it was, she plastered on a smile, laughing off exhaustion like always. They didn’t ask—she didn’t tell. She figured they hadn’t noticed the storm online, or maybe they were waiting for her to crack first. Either way, she wasn’t ready to spill.
--------------------------------------------------------------
That afternoon, the practice room hummed with restless energy, the 13 boys waiting for Y/N, delayed by traffic. They lounged on the floor, the air thick with unspoken worry. Seungcheol scrolled his phone, brow furrowed, while Jeonghan fidgeted with his sleeve. They’d all seen the hate—Y/N’s name trending for the wrong reasons.
“She’s been quiet,” Joshua said softly, breaking the silence. “Not texting much, no random facetime—anyone else notice?”
“Yeah,” Mingyu nodded, sprawled out. “She’s acting fine when we’re together, but it’s… off. She’s not yelling at us like usual.”
“She’s pretending,” Woozi said, blunt. “The hate’s everywhere—I’ve seen the videos. She’s gotta be feeling it.”
Seungcheol sighed, heavy. “She won’t say anything. Just smiles—I don’t know how to reach her.”
“She’s stubborn,” Hoshi muttered, kicking the floor. “Won’t crack ‘til she’s ready.”
“It’s brutal out there,” Seungkwan cut in, sharp. “They’re tearing her apart—calling her immature, a pick-me. She’s 24, and they’re acting like she’s a disgrace.”
“Fans twist everything,” Wonwoo said, frowning. “She was just being herself—what’s wrong with that?”
“We can’t let it keep going,” Seungcheol said, firm. “She’s drowning, even if she won’t show it.”
“So what do we do?” Minghao asked, glancing around. “Force her to talk?”
“No,” Woozi shook his head. “She’ll shut us down. Maybe she needs to lay low—tone it down, act more her age. You know, feminine, mature—just ‘til it blows over…”
--------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N trudged up to the practice room door, exhaustion weighing her down. Traffic had been a nightmare, and the hate buzzing in her head didn’t help. She was about to push in when voices slipped through the crack—her name, clear and cutting. She froze, ear pressed closer.
“…lay low—tone it down, act more her age,” Woozi’s voice hit her like a slap. “Feminine, mature…”
Her breath caught, heart sinking fast. Act her age? Tone it down? Feminine? The words stabbed deeper than any hate comment, raw and sharp, straight from her brothers—her safe place. Her hands shook, eyes stinging, but she swallowed it down, jaw tight. She wouldn’t cry—not here. She shoved the door open, plastering on a smile that felt like glass.
“Hey, membedeul!” she chirped, too loud, tossing her bag down. “Traffic was hell—sorry I’m late!”
The room jolted, 13 heads snapping up. Seungcheol coughed, sitting straighter. “Y/N-ah, hey! Uh, no problem—glad you made it.”
“Finally!” Hoshi teased, grinning, though his eyes flickered with something unsure. “Thought you’d ditched us.”
She laughed—bright, brittle, forced—waving it off. “Me? Never! Just Seoul being Seoul. Let’s dance—I’m pumped!” She breezed past, dodging their stares, her chest a knot as she grabbed her water bottle.
Practice started, and Y/N threw herself in—steps sharp, spins flawless. She laughed when Mingyu tripped, nodded at Seungkwan’s grumbling, clapped Hoshi’s back like always. But it was a performance, every move masking the ache. Tone it down. Act more her age. Feminine. Their words looped, slicing her open, and every glance from them felt like a spotlight on her flaws. Jeonghan watched her, brow creased, but she turned away, grinning harder.
“Y/N-ah, you okay?” Joshua asked during a break, voice gentle. She was stretching, staring at the floor.
“Perfect!” she lied, flashing teeth. “Just tired—traffic’s a beast.”
He nodded, hesitant, but dropped it. The day stretched—hours of choreo, sweat, and her charade. She bantered with DK, dodged Seungkwan’s jabs, but her laughs were edged, her eyes hollow. Inside, she was unraveling—they think I’m wrong too?—and the silence she held screamed louder than her usual chaos.
By the end, they collapsed on the floor, spent. Y/N sat apart, scrolling her phone, the hate blurring into static. “Good job, guys,” she said, voice flat, standing. “I’m out—see you tomorrow!”
“Y/N-ah, hold on—” Seungcheol started, but she was already moving.
“Night!” she called, waving without looking back, slipping out. The hall swallowed her steps, her smile crashing the second she was alone. She’d heard them—her family—and the sting of tone it down cut deeper than any troll’s words. She’d keep up the act, but it was breaking her, piece by quiet piece.
--------------------------------------------------------------
That night, Y/N lay sprawled on her bed, staring at the ceiling of her quiet apartment. The practice room words echoed—“lay low—tone it down, act more age, feminine, mature”—sharp and unrelenting. Her chest ached, a dull thud of doubt. Maybe they’re right, she thought, fingers tracing patterns in the dark. Her members—her brothers—knew her better than anyone. If they said it, it must be for her good, right? She wasn’t just Y/N anymore; she was Seventeen Y/N, and every misstep dragged their name with her. The hate online, the “pick-me” labels, the “immature” jabs—maybe toning down her wild, loud self would stop it. Maybe she should change. She rolled over, burying her face in her pillow, whispering, “I’ll try… for them.”
--------------------------------------------------------------
Over the next few days, Y/N shifted. It wasn’t drastic—she couldn’t erase herself—but it was enough. In the practice room, she still talked to the boys, still smiled, but her laugh was softer, restrained, not the cackle that once bounced off the walls. She’d joke, but the edge was gone—no playful shoves, no exaggerated antics. “Hey, Mingyu oppa, don’t trip again,” she’d say with a small grin, not the usual loud tease followed by a slap on his back. The boys noticed—how could they not?—but they didn’t push. Seungcheol’s brow furrowed when her giggles tapered off too fast, Hoshi’s grin faltered when she didn’t match his energy, Jun’s gaze lingered when she sidestepped their usual chaos. She was still Y/N, but… muted, like a song played too quiet.
“Y/N-ah, you’re chill today,” Wonwoo said one afternoon, tossing her a water bottle. “Feeling okay?”
“Yeah!” she chirped, catching it with a tight smile. “Just… pacing myself. Long week.” She sipped, avoiding his eyes, and he nodded, unsure.
“Less wild, huh?” Dino teased, nudging her. “Where’s my partner-in-crime?”
“Retired,” she quipped, smirking faintly, but didn’t leap into his antics like usual. He laughed, but it died quick, unease flickering.
She kept it up—acting “ her age,” feminine, mature, whatever that meant. No loud outbursts, no clinging to her oppas. She told herself it was fine—fans wanted this, the hate would stop, and she wouldn’t taint Seventeen shine. But each forced smile felt heavier, each stifled laugh a knot in her throat.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The Music Bank stage loomed that Friday, their latest comeback performance electric under the lights. They nailed it—crowd roaring, confetti falling—and when the winner was announced, Seventeen name rang out. The trophy gleamed in Seungcheol’s hands as they stayed on stage, waving to fans, the cameras rolling. Normally, this was their playground—goofy poses, Hoshi twirling the mic, Woozi fake-sobbing, Y/N hugging everyone in sight. Tonight, though, she stood still at the back, a polite smile plastered on, hands clasped in front.
Jeonghan, trophy in one hand, turned to her with his usual grin, arms opening for their signature hug—arms around her shoulders, her squeezing back, a staple for carats. “Y/N-ah, c’mere!” he called, voice warm over the cheers.
Her heart jolted. She stepped toward him—then froze. Flirt. Pick-me. Clingy. The hate flashed in her mind, a warning siren. She couldn’t—not in front of cameras, not with the world watching. She pivoted mid-step, a sharp U-turn, dodging his hug to stand at the edge, waving stiffly at the crowd instead. Jeonghan’s arms dropped, his smile faltering for a split second before he recovered, turning to Seungcheol with a laugh.
The 13 boys exchanged glances—quick, subtle, but loaded. Seungcheol’s jaw tightened, Hoshi’s eyes widened, Wonwoo tilted his head, confused. They’d seen her pull back all week, but this? On stage? They masked it fast—posing for the cameras, Seungcheol lifting the trophy high, DK flashing a peace sign—but the air shifted. Something was wrong.
“Y/N-ah, you didn’t hug me!” Jeonghan teased as they shuffled offstage, voice light but eyes searching.
She forced a laugh, shrugging. “Didn’t wanna steal your spotlight, oppa!” She skipped ahead, avoiding his gaze, her chest tight.
Backstage, the boys huddled, voices low. “She dodged me,” Jeonghan muttered, frowning. “That’s not her.”
“She’s been weird all week,” Seungkwan said, sharp. “Quiet—too quiet.”
“She’s toning it down,” Woozi said, realization dawning, his voice heavy.
They watched her across the room, chatting with a staff member, her smile polite but empty. The Y/N they knew—loud, clingy, and being all goofy—was fading, replaced by this careful, muted version. The trophy sat forgotten on a table, their win hollowed by the crack she wouldn’t show.
“We fix this,” Seungcheol said, firm. “She’s not dragging us down—she’s us. She needs to know.”
But Y/N, adjusting her mic pack, kept her distance, the weight of tone it down pressing her into silence. She’d keep pretending—for them, for the fans—until it broke her.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Past midnight, Y/N sat hunched on her bed, the glow of her phone casting shadows on her tear-streaked face. Sleep wouldn’t come—the Music Bank moment replayed in her head, her dodging Jeonghan’s hug a neon sign of her new “mature” self. She’d scrolled to escape, but people threw a fresh wound her way: a clip of that exact avoidance, captioned, “Y/N pretending to be shy—such a flirt deep down.” Comments piled on—“She’s fake,” “Still a pick-me, just hiding it,” “old enough to act mature and still playing games.” Her breath hitched, and the dam broke. Sobs wracked her, loud and messy, echoing in her empty apartment. “I can’t do this,” she choked out, clutching her phone. She’d toned it down—acted her age, feminine, distant—like they wanted, like her members said. But the hate still came, sharper now, accusing her of faking it. What do they want? she thought, tears blurring the screen. I’m trying—I’m trying so hard. Why do they still hate me?
She scrolled more, hate comment after hate comment—“She’s dragging SEVENTEEN down,” “So annoying, just leave”—each one a knife. She couldn’t stop, couldn’t sleep, just cried until her eyes burned and her throat ached. Exhaustion finally pulled her under, phone slipping from her hand, still glowing with venom as she drifted off, tears drying on her cheeks.
Morning came, gray and heavy. Y/N woke to a pounding headache and a hollow chest, the night’s sobs lingering like a bruise. Practice loomed—she couldn’t face them, couldn’t fake it again. Her fingers shook as she texted the choreography director: “Not feeling well today—can’t make practice. Sorry.” She hit send, tossed her phone aside, and curled back into her blankets, the lie her only shield.
--------------------------------------------------------------
In the practice room, the boys gathered, the air thick with unease. They’d barely slept, replaying the Music Bank moment—Y/N’s sharp dodge, her forced smile. It wasn’t just that; the past four days gnawed at them. She hadn’t touched them—no playful shoves, no hugs, no leaning on Seungcheol during breaks. She’d laughed, joked, but it was off, like she’d locked part of herself away.
“She hasn’t been herself,” Joshua said, voice low, stretching on the floor. “Not since… what, Monday?”
“Yeah,” Mingyu nodded, frowning. “She’s talking, but she’s not here. And last night—she didn’t even hug Jeonghan hyung.”
Jeonghan leaned against the mirror, arms crossed. “She U-turned so fast I thought I smelled bad. She’s pulling back—hard.”
“She heard us,” Woozi said, realization sinking in, his tone grim. “That day in practice—‘tone it down, act her age.’ She walked in right after.”
Hoshi groaned, running a hand through his hair. “She didn’t hear the rest—us worrying. She thinks we want her to change.”
“We screwed up,” Seungcheol said, jaw tight. “She’s doing this for us—shutting down—and we let it happen.”
The choreographer strode in, clapping. “Alright, let’s start—where’s Y/N?”
“She’s not here,” Hoshi said, glancing around. “She didn’t text us.”
The choreographer checked his phone. “She’s not feeling well—texted me this morning. Didn’t she tell you?”
The boys froze, eyes meeting in silent alarm. “No,” Seungkwan said, sharp. “She didn’t.”
“She’s dodging us,” Vernon muttered, pulling out his phone. “She’s replied to texts, but no calls—look.” He flashed a dry “Yeah, I’m fine” from her, timestamped an hour ago.
“She never misses practice,” Dino said, voice small. “Not unless it’s bad.”
Seungcheol’s frown deepened. “Something’s wrong—really wrong.”
--------------------------------------------------------------
Past midnight, Y/N sat curled on her bed, the dim light of her phone cutting through the dark. She couldn’t sleep—the weight of the week pressed down, her chest tight. She scrolled mindlessly, seeking distraction, but twitter delivered a gut punch: a video of her dodging Jeonghan’s hug at Music Bank, her forced smile frozen on screen. The caption sneered, “Y/N pretending to be shy—still a flirt underneath.” Comments piled on—“So fake,” “Can’t hide her pick-me vibes,” “Old and still a clown.” Her breath hitched, and tears burst free, loud and ragged. “I can’t do this!” she sobbed, voice breaking in the empty room. She’d toned it down—acted mature, feminine, distant—like her members said, like the fans demanded. But it wasn’t enough. “What do they want from me?” she cried, clutching her phone. “I’m doing it right—why do they still hate me? What did I do?!” Practice loomed tomorrow, but she couldn’t face it—couldn’t face them. She scrolled more, hate fueling her tears—“She’s a disgrace,” “Leave Seventeen”—until exhaustion dragged her under, phone slipping from her trembling hands, still glowing with venom as she sobbed herself to sleep.
Morning crept in, gray and cold. Y/N woke to swollen eyes and a hollow ache, the night’s breakdown etched into her face. She couldn’t go to practice—couldn’t fake another smile. Her hands shook as she texted the choreography director: “Not feeling well—can’t make practice today. Sorry.” She tossed her phone aside, burrowing back into her blankets, the lie her flimsy armor.
--------------------------------------------------------------
By 8 p.m., the practice room was quiet, the boys slumped against the walls, practice half-hearted without her. Seungcheol stood, pacing, his silence heavier than usual. “She’s not answering calls,” he said, voice rough. “Texts, yeah, but she’s shutting us out. This isn’t Y/N.”
“She’s hurting,” Jeonghan said, soft but firm. “We let her think we don’t want her—the real her.”
“We can’t leave it like this,” Mingyu said, standing. “She’s our sister—she needs us.”
Seungcheol nodded, decisive. “Enough. We’re going to her place—now.”
“What if she won’t let us in?” Seungkwan asked, worried.
“Then we knock ‘til she does,” Hoshi said, grabbing his jacket. “She’s not doing this alone.”
“She heard us wrong,” Woozi said, guilt lacing his words. “We fix it—tell her she’s not dragging us down. She’s us.”
“She can yell, cry, whatever,” Seungcheol said, pulling on his cap. “No more pretending—not with us.”
They piled into cars, the night dark and heavy, hearts pounding with urgency. Y/N was family—their loud, wild, irreplaceable maknae—and they’d let her slip too far. If she’d misunderstood, if she was breaking under their words and the world’s hate, they’d tear down her walls themselves. They couldn’t lose her—not to this, not to anything.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N sat slumped on her living room floor, surrounded by the chaos of her personality—bright pink throw pillows, a lime-green rug, a shelf of quirky figurines, fairy lights strung across the walls. It was her—loud, colorful, unapologetic. She loved it, but now it felt wrong.
She’d never felt so alone. The hate had chipped away her confidence, leaving a shell where her fire used to burn. “Leave SEVENTEEN—she’s a disgrace,” “Weak link dragging them down”—the comments looped, venomous and relentless. She’d trained for years, fought tooth and nail to debut, and now they wanted her gone? “I can’t leave,” she sobbed, curling tighter. “But I can’t stay like this either.” Solo flashed in her mind—her alone on a stage, no 13 boys, no laughter—but it terrified her. She couldn’t picture it, couldn’t breathe through the panic it sparked.
Her phone trembled in her hand as she opened a message to their manager, tears blurring the screen. “Do I need to leave the group?” she typed, each word a stab. She stared at it, thumb hovering over send, then pressed it, a quiet wail escaping as it delivered. “If that’s what they want…” she murmured, dropping the phone, burying her face in her knees. She didn’t want to leave her house—her safe, colorful cave—didn’t want to face the world until the hate died. But would it ever?
--------------------------------------------------------------
In the practice room, the boys were mid-scramble—jackets on, keys jangling—when the door banged open. Their manager stormed in, phone gripped tight, face pale. “Have you talked to Y/N?” he barked, voice urgent.
Seungcheol froze, mid-step. “No—why? What’s wrong?”
The manager’s eyes flicked to him, tense. “Seungcheol, we need to talk—about Y/N.”
“Talk to all of us!” Hoshi snapped, stepping forward, voice sharp. “What’s going on? Why just him?”
“Yeah, spill it!” Mingyu demanded, towering over the manager. “She’s our sister—what’s happening?”
The manager hesitated, then thrust his phone out, screen glowing with Y/N’s message: “Do I need to leave the group?” The room went dead silent, the words a gut punch. Then chaos erupted.
“What the hell?!” Seungkwan shouted, voice cracking. “Leave the group?!”
“She can’t—” Dino choked, eyes wide. “She wouldn’t—why would she even think that?!”
“She heard us!” Woozi yelled, slamming a fist on the wall, fury and guilt colliding. “She thinks we want her gone!”
Seungcheol snatched the phone, staring at the text, his jaw clenched so tight it hurt. “This is our fault,” he growled, voice low and lethal. “We let her think she’s a burden—damn it!”
“She’s not leaving!” Hoshi roared, grabbing his keys. “No way—I’ll drag her back myself if I have to!”
“We’re going—now!” Mingyu said, already at the door, eyes blazing. “She’s not doing this—she’s not quitting us!”
Jeonghan’s voice cut through, sharp and trembling. “She’s breaking—alone—and we’re sitting here? Move!”
The manager stepped back, stunned. “She sent it five minutes ago—I came straight here. She’s not answering my calls.”
“She’s not answering ours either!” Seungkwan snapped, shoving his phone in his pocket. “She’s shutting down—we’re done waiting!”
Seungcheol spun to the group, fury radiating. “Get in the cars—now! We’re not losing her—not to hate, not to us, not to anything. She’s ours—our maknae—and we’re fixing this tonight!”
“What do we say?!” Dino asked, voice shaking as he followed. “She’s gonna be a mess!”
“We tell her she’s enough!” Joshua shouted, yanking his jacket on. “Exactly how she is—wild, loud, everything!”
“We beg if we have to,” Mingyu added, voice breaking. “She’s not a disgrace—she’s our strength!”
“She’s not leaving,” Seungcheol said, slamming the door open, voice a vow. “Not over a damn misunderstanding—I’ll burn the internet down before I let her think that!”
They piled into cars, engines roaring, tires screeching as they sped through the night. “She’s family!” Hoshi yelled over the noise, fists clenched. “No one gets to take her—not fans, not us!”
“She’s been fighting alone,” Woozi muttered, guilt choking him. “We end this—now.”
Seungcheol gripped the wheel, eyes hard. “She’s not a weak link—she’s our heart. We make her see that.” The city blurred past, 8 p.m. ticking toward a confrontation they couldn’t lose. Y/N was slipping—cracking under hate and their own careless words—and they’d storm her walls, mad as hell, to pull her back.

Walking Disaster | Seventeen x 14thMember | fluff

“Y/N, NO—”
Before Jeonghan could finish his sentence, the loud crash echoed through the practice room. Everyone turned to find you sprawled on the floor, a stack of water bottles you had somehow managed to topple over rolling in all directions.
Joshua sighed. “That’s the third time today.”
Minghao looked at you, unimpressed. “How do you even function on a daily basis?”
“I don’t!” you groaned, sitting up and rubbing your elbow. “I think my knee is broken.”
Seungkwan crossed his arms. “Your knee was already broken this morning when you tripped over the stairs. And last night when you walked into the door. And two days ago when you somehow managed to—”
“Okay, okay, I get it!” You huffed, standing up with the help of a very exhausted-looking DK. “I’m a walking disaster. But at least I keep things interesting, right?”
Vernon blinked at you. “That’s one way to put it.”
Hoshi grinned. “It’s kinda like having a real-life slapstick comedy show, but in real time.”
“That’s not a compliment,” Woozi muttered, shaking his head as he bent down to pick up one of the rolling water bottles.
Just then, you took a step forward—only for your sock to slide against the polished floor. Your arms flailed wildly, and before anyone could react, you fell backward with an undignified yelp.
“AGAIN?!” Dino burst out, staring at you in horror.
Jun knelt beside you, patting your shoulder. “You okay?”
You groaned in response. “I think I saw my life flash before my eyes.”
Jeonghan rubbed his temples. “Can we just wrap you in bubble wrap?”
“That’s a great idea!” Seungkwan snapped his fingers. “Or maybe, like, attach a leash to you so you can’t go too far?”
Mingyu chuckled, reaching down to help you up. “Nah, that won’t work. She’ll find a way to trip over the leash and take us all down with her.”
You gave him an offended look. “I would not!”
“You totally would,” DK laughed.
Seungcheol, who had been silently observing, finally sighed and clapped his hands. “Alright, everyone, back to practice. Y/N, try not to break anything—including yourself.”
You gave him a thumbs-up. “No promises!”
Seungcheol exhaled slowly, already regretting his life choices.

Thump. Thump. Thump.
The pounding.
Luna couldn’t tell if it was coming from the deep ache in her head, the constant pounding in her ears from the screams surrounding them, or the heavy thud of her own footsteps against the tiled floor.
Maybe it was all of them all together.
Each beat seemed to blur into the next, a constant, overwhelming drum that wouldn’t let her think clearly.
All fourteen members of SEVENTEEN moved in unison through the airport on their way to LA for KCON 2019, security guiding them toward their gate. Flanked by bodyguards, they were shielded from the sea of fans pressing in, screaming their names, reaching out to touch them, phones held high to capture a fleeting moment.
Ahead of her walked Seungcheol, their leader, his tall frame cutting through the crowd like a steady force. Behind her, Jeonghan’s footsteps echoed close, his presence always within reach, always steady.
But none of it helped the dull throb pulsing through her temples. Luna’s head was killing her. The flashes from the cameras set up by the media didn’t help either; each flicker of light sent sharp jolts through her skull, making her stomach churn with nausea.
She was sick— she knew that much.
It had been building for days, the flu creeping up on her from the constant traveling, the back-to-back practice sessions and the late nights spent rehearsing until her body couldn’t take it anymore. But now, walking in between her members, with hundreds of eyes watching her every move, she had to keep it together.
At least she’s dressed great— that’s what Luna told herself to keep her spirits up… it really wasn't working. Fashionable as ever, she was dressed in her usual chic, comfy airport style, but today her outfit served more than just looks. The oversized fluffy bucket hat cast a shadow over her eyes, concealing the exhaustion in them, while the face mask helped hide the pallor of her skin and the grimace that threatened to show every time her head pounded.
Normally, Luna would wave at the fans, offer a smile, or maybe even pose for a photo. But today, she only managed a few weak waves before lowering her head again, hoping the fans would think she was just sleepy and not worry about her health.
The closer they got to the gate, the tighter the space seemed to become.
Luna lifted her head slightly, catching sight of the crowd pressing in. Fans were pushing to get a glimpse, their hands outstretched, desperate to touch any part of the group, and security was doing their best to hold them back.
Her flu plus the noise, the lights, and the bodies crowding in— it all felt suffocating.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Luna's chest tightened as her breath quickened, each inhale feeling shallow and unsatisfying.
Normally, in moments like this, Luna would do her breathing exercises. She’d ground herself, focus on something steady, and calm her racing heart.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
But today, everything felt wrong.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Her body was tired, too tired to fight back the waves of anxiety threatening to consume her.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Her vision blurred slightly, and the pounding grew louder, and harsher until she finally understood— this pounding wasn’t just in her head.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
It was her heart.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Her heart was hammering in her chest, a beat so hard and fast it felt like it would burst out of her.
Behind her, Jeonghan was watching her every move, his sharp eyes missing nothing.
He saw the way she stilled for just a split second, the way her shoulders tensed as if bracing for something. He noticed how her hands, usually loose and graceful at her sides, were now clenched into fists, her breathing too fast, too shallow.
His gaze sharpened further, worry etching into his features. Without hesitation, he stepped closer, his hand finding hers, prying her fingers open gently. His touch was soft, but firm, as he intertwined his fingers with hers, rubbing small, soothing circles into her palm.
“You’re okay, Nana-ya. Just breathe,” he whispered softly, his voice low and steady, meant only for her. “We’re almost there. Focus on me, okay? Count with me if you need to.”
His words cut through the chaos in her mind, his voice the one steady thing she could hold on to. She closed her eyes briefly, grounding herself in the feel of his hand, the warmth of his touch, the familiar and comforting scent of his perfume, and the soothing rhythm of his voice.
“One step at a time,” Jeonghan continued, his thumb still stroking the back of her hand. “We’ll be at the gate soon. You can rest once we get there.”
He kept talking, his words a careful balance of distraction and comfort, pulling her mind away from the overwhelming noise and back to him.
Slowly, Luna’s breathing began to even out, her heartbeat returning to a more manageable pace. The tension in her shoulders eased, her body relaxing as the adrenaline wore off, leaving her more exhausted than before.
She leaned into Jeonghan slightly, letting herself rest against him, her safe space, as they finally reached their gate, away from the crowd, away from the cameras.
Once they reached the private lounge, Jeonghan gently guided Luna toward a plush couch near the floor-to-ceiling windows, the vast expanse of the airport runway visible just beyond. The planes, a mix of sleek white and metal gray, dotted the tarmac, and the low hum of activity outside served as a soothing backdrop compared to the chaos they’d just escaped.
Jeonghan’s hand never left hers, their fingers intertwined as she waddled beside him, each step slow and tired. She was beyond exhausted, her body heavy with sickness, yet Jeonghan’s touch anchored her, guiding her through the fog of her fatigue.
When they reached the couch, he helped her settle down, his touch as gentle as always. As soon as Luna sank into the cushions, her body practically melted into the soft fabric. She turned her head, laying it against Jeonghan’s shoulder, her eyes fluttering shut for a brief moment.
The cool glass window before her framed the scene outside— the luggage carts moving in their organized chaos, the steady movements of the ground crew— but she barely registered any of it.
Luna just needed a moment to breathe.
Jeonghan’s presence next to her was grounding, his shoulder warm and solid beneath her cheek. She opened her eyes again, gaze trained on the ramp and the plane in front of them, trying to focus on anything but the ache still pounding in her temples. The rhythmic movements of the airport outside, the planes being loaded, gave her something to latch onto, something to quiet her racing thoughts.
The members gathered in the lounge, scattered on the surrounding couches and chairs. At first glance, they seemed relaxed, chatting in low voices, but the way their eyes kept flicking over to Luna didn’t go unnoticed. They knew she was sick— had seen it on her face for days— but now, seeing the weariness settle in her features, they realized how much tired she looked.
Dino, the youngest, opened his mouth as if to ask how she was feeling, but before he could utter a word, Jeonghan glanced over his shoulder and gave a subtle, calm, but firm look.
It was a wordless command, the kind of look that said, Not now.
Seungcheol, standing nearby, raised an eyebrow at Jeonghan, silently asking if everything was okay. The two eldest exchanged a brief glance, an entire conversation passing between them without words. Jeonghan’s slow, reassuring nod told him everything he needed to know.
This wasn’t Luna’s first anxiety attack. She’d had multiple of them before, although it had been a while since her last one. She’d been managing them so well, but today, with the flu weakening her defenses, it had slipped through.
Seungcheol, understanding the situation, gave a barely perceptible nod back. The other members saw the exchange and, without a word, fell into a quiet understanding, lowering their voices and making sure the space around Luna remained as peaceful as possible.
Jeonghan turned back to Luna, his eyes softening as he took in her tired expression. She was still gazing out the window, her eyes following the movements of the airport crew as they loaded luggage onto the planes.
He knew her too well— knew that she was counting in her head, focusing on each piece of luggage as it was lifted and placed into the cargo hold, using it as a distraction to keep her mind occupied.
“Good job. You’re doing such a good job,” he whispered, his voice so soft it was almost drowned out by the ambient noise around them. His arm was draped around her shoulders, his fingers threading through her hair in slow, soothing motions. His other hand still held hers, his thumb tracing gentle circles over her skin. “There you go, Jiyeonie, You’re doing so well.”
The tenderness in his voice made her heart ache in a different way, a warmth blossoming in her chest even though she still felt so drained. She wasn’t fully okay, but with him there, she felt safer, more grounded.
The world outside continued its steady pace, the rhythmic movements of the airport playing out in front of her. Luna’s eyes still remained following the luggage cart, watching as it carried suitcases toward the plane.
Jeonghan, after much thought, leaned in a little closer. “I bet they lost your luggage,” he joked, his voice still quiet but laced with a teasing edge.
Despite the heaviness in her body, Luna couldn’t help the small smile that tugged at her lips. She turned her head just enough to give him a playful pout. “Is that your way of making me feel better?” she asked softly, her voice scratchy from fatigue.
Jeonghan smiled down at her, his free hand brushing a loose strand of hair away from her face, his touch lingering as if she was something fragile, something so precious.
The way he looked at her at that moment— it was as if she hung the moon and stars as if nothing else mattered but her, like she was the center of his universe.
“I know it will,” he replied, his smug smile widening just a fraction. “Because then I’ll get to buy you new clothes.”
Luna’s eyes sparkled with amusement despite the exhaustion weighing her down. She couldn’t believe how easily he could see right through her, how effortlessly he made her feel better without even trying.
It was like he had some sort of superpower— knowing exactly what she needed before she even realized it herself.
Jeonghan leaned back against the couch, pulling Luna a little closer to his side, his hand still gently playing with her hair. The rhythm of his fingers brushing through her strands was slow and steady, matching the calming atmosphere around them.
Luna shifted slightly, letting out a quiet sigh as she allowed herself to fully relax into him, her cheek pressed comfortably against his shoulder.
“You’re so cute when you’re sleepy,” Jeonghan whispered, a playful lilt in his voice as he glanced down at her, the corners of his mouth quirking into a fond smile.
Luna groaned softly, not even bothering to open her eyes. “I’m not cute. Definitely not cute now,” she mumbled, her voice barely audible as exhaustion weighed down her every word.
Jeonghan chuckled, low and soothing, the sound vibrating through his chest. “Yes, you are. My cute little Jiyeonie. You’re always cute,” he cooed, his tone shifting into that familiar baby talk that he always used when he wanted to tease her.
Luna, too tired to argue, just grumbled in response, burying her face further into his shoulder. She knew there was no point in protesting; Jeonghan would always win this argument, and deep down, she didn’t mind. Not when his voice was so soft, so comforting.
“Hmm, you’re doing so well, my pretty angel,” he murmured again, his thumb now gently rubbing circles into the back of her hand. “You’re such a strong girl, you know that?”
Luna hummed quietly, the sound of his voice wrapping around her like a blanket. She didn’t have the energy to say much, but she didn’t need to.
Jeonghan knew. He always knew.
He smiled down at her, his gaze warm as he watched her eyes flutter open just a crack, still half-lidded from fatigue. “You’re going to feel better soon. I promise,” he continued softly.
A playful glint appeared in his eyes, and he lifted his hand in front of her face, acting like he grabbed something out of thin air.
Luna, confused, raised an eyebrow as she glanced at his closed fist.
“See this?” Jeonghan said, eyes shifting to his hand as if it held something important.
“What?” Luna asked, her confusion deepening as she watched him curiously.
Jeonghan dramatically acted as if he was throwing something out the window, his arm swinging with a flourish. “I just gave your flu to the guy who lost your luggage,” he said, his face completely serious.
Luna’s eyes widened in disbelief before a small giggle bubbled up from her chest. She gently pushed against his chest, her laughter soft and light. “My luggage isn’t lost, and that man didn’t do anything. He doesn’t deserve to be sick,” she pouted, her lips curving into a playful frown.
Jeonghan sighed in mock amazement, shaking his head. “You are the actual angel between the two of us,” he remarked, his voice filled with a mixture of affection and admiration as he looked at her.
“Whatever,” Luna snuggled closer to him, her eyes closing once more.
Jeonghan placed a kiss on top of her head and said, “When we get there, I’m going to make sure you rest. I’ll tuck you in, and you won’t have to worry about anything else, okay?”
Luna nodded weakly, her grip tightening slightly around his hand. “Mm… sounds nice,” she whispered, her voice raspy but laced with gratitude.
Jeonghan’s smile widened. “Of course it does. I know what my girl likes.” He leaned down, brushing another kiss to the top of her head, lingering for a moment as if that small gesture could transfer all the comfort and care he had for her.
Luna felt her chest warm at his words, a tiny smile tugging at her lips. Even in her exhaustion, even with her body feeling like it was weighed down by bricks, she couldn’t help but feel lighter when he spoke to her like this.
Like she was the only thing that mattered.
“Does that mean you’ll spoil me?” she teased softly, the smallest hint of playfulness in her tone despite how tired she was.
Jeonghan grinned, his eyes crinkling at the edges as he looked down at her. “Oh, absolutely. Whatever you want, Nana-ya. You name it, and it’s yours.” He brushed his thumb gently across her cheek, his touch as tender as ever. “I’m at your service, baby.”
Luna let out a soft laugh, barely more than a breath, but it was enough to make Jeonghan’s heart swell. “You’re so ridiculous,” she muttered, her voice carrying that familiar affection she always had for him, even when she was exhausted.
“And you love me for it,” Jeonghan replied with a smirk, his tone teasing but undeniably affectionate. He knew how to pull the smallest reactions from her, knew exactly what to say to keep her grounded, to make her feel seen and cherished.
“I do,” Luna whispered, her voice soft but certain, her eyes fluttering closed once more as she relaxed completely into his embrace. She let out a deep, tired breath, her fingers lacing tighter with his as if holding onto him was the only thing keeping her anchored.
Jeonghan’s gaze softened even further, his thumb still brushing over her hand in a slow, comforting rhythm. “My strong girl,” he murmured again, the words barely above a whisper. “You’re doing so, so well.”
The bustling lounge around them, the noise of the airport— it all faded into the background. And in that moment, it didn’t matter how long the flight would be, or how tired and worn out Luna felt.
As long as Jeonghan was there, holding her, whispering words of comfort in her ear, she knew she’d be okay.
Because with him, nothing else mattered.
As they waited for their plane, Jeonghan held her close, his presence as steady and unwavering as ever.
The world could wait.
For now, nothing mattered but her.
Jeonghan stayed glued to Luna’s side from the moment they boarded the plane. He didn’t leave anything to chance. From the way her seatbelt clicked softly around her, to how he made sure she ate the light meal they were served, his eyes were always watching her.
Jeonghan's hand lingered on her shoulder, his thumb grazing the fabric of her sweater as he asked in that quiet, calming voice of his, “Comfortable?”
Luna nodded, the fatigue weighing heavily on her bones. But even though her body cried for sleep, Jeonghan was already one step ahead, adjusting the small blanket over her legs and shoulders, cocooning her in warmth. He tucked it gently under her chin, brushing a stray hair behind her ear. “Sleep,” he whispered, his tone low and velvety. “I’ll wake you up when we land.”
She mumbled something incoherent in reply, but Jeonghan wasn’t deterred. He adjusted her pillow and gave a soft, satisfied hum when she finally closed her eyes.
Every slight movement on the plane— the ding of the overhead lights, the sound of people shifting in their seats— he shielded her from it all, his focus entirely on her comfort.
Hours passed and the city of Los Angeles glittered beneath them, the sprawling lights blinking like tiny jewels as the plane touched down.
Jeonghan never let go of Luna’s hand, guiding her through the throng of people in the airport, his hand firm and steady on her back. He had seen the earlier signs, the slight tremble in her hands, the way her breath had hitched at the thought of another crowded, overwhelming moment. And he wasn't about to let her go through that again.
They moved swiftly, his arm looped protectively around her waist, his pace matching hers as they wove their way through LAX. Luna leaned into him, her steps faltering only slightly, and though no one said it aloud, Jeonghan was the anchor she clung to.
When they reached the van that would take them to the stadium for rehearsal, Jeonghan cast her a long look, his brow furrowed in silent question. “You okay?” His voice, though soft, was insistent.
Luna nodded, too stubborn to let the exhaustion speak for her. She was tired and sick, but there was no way she would admit it— not when she had been working so hard for this specific performance— it was the reason she was sick in the first place.
The moment they stepped into the stadium, the rest of the members hovered around her. They could see it in her eyes— the flu that clung to her like a shadow— but Luna? She just waved them off with a tired smile, ignoring their concerned stares. Even when they hesitated to let her rehearse, insisting that she should sit this one out, Luna remained firm.
"I’d rather break all my bones than not perform," she said quietly but with enough determination that no one dared challenge her not even Seungcheol who could see the desperation in her eye.
And so, the rehearsal began.
Luna danced with a fierce precision, her every movement sharp and in sync with the music. Despite her voice being raspier from the flu, she hit all the notes, her performance flawless.
To anyone watching, it was as though nothing was wrong.
She was perfect.
But Luna didn’t feel perfect.
She could sense every flaw, every small imperfection that gnawed at her like an itch she couldn’t scratch. The cough that threatened to break through at any moment, the aching in her muscles that slowed her just enough to frustrate her beyond reason. Her mind spiraled as she rehearsed, the frustration coiling tightly in her chest, threatening to break her.
During a break, she paced across the stage, her hands clenched into fists at her sides, her breath coming in short, sharp bursts. The stress, the pressure, the illness— it was all too much, and she could feel it mounting inside her like a pressure cooker ready to explode.
Jeonghan watched her silently from across the stage, his brow furrowed as he took in every minute detail— the way her fingers flexed, the way she bit her lower lip in frustration.
He knew her too well.
He could see it— how close she was to breaking both physically and mentally.
And as they made their way back to the hotel after rehearsal, Jeonghan remained silent, his eyes trained on her, sensing the inner turmoil she tried so hard to hide.
Luna, of course, could feel him watching her.
Jeonghan always knew, always could tell when something was wrong. It annoyed her, but in the same breath, she loved him for it. She loved that he could read her thoughts, even the ones she tried to bury. And she knew, as soon as they walked through that hotel door, that he would corner her about it.
The second they entered her room, silence filled the space. Luna barely made it two steps inside before Jeonghan was there, gently spinning her around to face him. He cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs tenderly brushing against her flushed cheeks, his eyes soft and full of understanding.
“Hey,” he whispered, his voice like a gentle caress. Luna blinked up at him, her doe eyes shimmering with the unshed tears that threatened to spill.
Jeonghan’s gaze softened further, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips as he stroked her skin.
He didn’t need to ask. He didn’t need to say anything. He already knew.
Before Luna could say a word, Jeonghan pulled her into his arms, wrapping her in a tight, comforting embrace. The moment his arms enveloped her, the dam inside her broke. She melted against him, her body shaking as the tears finally poured out.
All the pain, all the frustration, all the doubt— she let it all go in that moment, burying her face in his chest as her sobs echoed softly against him.
Jeonghan held her, his hand running soothingly up and down her back. He didn’t shush her, didn’t tell her to stop crying. He just held her, letting her release every bit of the pent-up emotions she had been carrying for far too long.
When her sobs grew quieter, turning into soft sniffles and hiccups, he gently cooed to her, his voice as soft as velvet.
“You’re frustrated, hm? I know, baby. I understand,” he murmured, pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head. “It’s okay to be tired. It’s okay to feel like this.”
Luna just cried harder, her hands clutching the fabric of his shirt as she let it all out.
She didn’t need to say anything— Jeonghan understood it all.
“I’m here,” he continued, his voice soothing as he rocked her gently. “I know it’s hard. But you don’t have to be perfect, okay?”
Slowly, he scooped her up in his arms, cradling her against his chest as he carried her over to the bed. He sat down, settling her in his lap, his arms still wrapped around her protectively. “Shh, it’s okay,” he whispered, brushing a tear-streaked strand of hair out of her face. “You’ve done enough. More than enough.”
Luna continued to cry softly, but the tension in her body began to ease as Jeonghan rocked her gently, his lips pressing soft kisses to her temple. “.You’re the strongest person I know, and I love you for that.”
His words were soft, comforting, and firm. The way he doted on her, the way he held her like she was the most precious thing in the world— it was everything she needed. Everything she didn’t know she needed until now.
“I’ve got you,” Jeonghan whispered, his voice laced with tenderness as he continued to hold her close. “I’ve always got you.”
And at that moment, as Luna clung to him, feeling the weight of her frustrations slowly lift, she knew that no matter how hard things got, Jeonghan would always be there, holding her, understanding her, loving her.
Just like he always had.
They stayed like that for a while, wrapped in each other’s arms, surrounded by a silence that wasn’t empty but filled with everything unsaid.
The soft hum of the air conditioner was the only noise in the room, punctuated by Luna’s occasional sniffles and quiet hiccups, each one making Jeonghan’s hold on her tighten ever so slightly.
His fingers traced comforting patterns along her back, and every now and then, he hummed softly— a sound as soothing as a lullaby— cooing, “Shh, it’s okay,” whenever she let out a shaky breath. He pressed gentle kisses to the crown of her head, his voice warm, melting the edges of her pain.
After a few minutes, when her crying had slowed and her breathing evened out, Jeonghan pulled back slightly, tilting her chin up to meet his eyes. “Do you want to tell me about it?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper as if he were afraid that speaking too loudly would shatter the fragile peace they’d built around them.
He didn’t push, didn’t rush her. He simply waited, his thumb grazing her cheekbone in the softest, most patient of motions. His eyes were full of understanding, holding a quiet strength she could lean into.
Luna looked up at him, her eyes searching his face, and she knew. She couldn’t keep anything from him. She never could.
She let out a long sigh, her fingers clutching the fabric of his shirt for stability, and then the words tumbled out. “I hate being sick,” she began, her voice raw, the vulnerability clear in her tone.
“I know, baby,” Jeonghan murmured, his voice laced with gentle affection. His thumb continued to trace slow circles on her cheek, grounding her as she spoke.
“I hate feeling…weak. I hate that I can’t keep up, that I’m slowing everyone down,” she continued, her words rushing now as if she’d been holding them back for too long. “And I hate feeling like a burden.”
Jeonghan’s gaze softened, but before he could say anything, Luna pressed on. “You know how much I hate that feeling, right? It reminds me of…of the early years. When people would call me names and isolate all my mistakes, just because I am the only girl.” Her voice cracked at the last part, and Jeonghan’s heart ached for her.
He remembered those days all too well— how Luna had carried the weight of others' expectations and criticisms, how she had tried to be everything to everyone and in the process had nearly crumbled under the pressure.
“I know,” Jeonghan whispered again, his voice laced with a protective tenderness. He shifted slightly so he could cup both sides of her neck with his hands, his thumbs brushing along her jawline. “I know, baby.”
Luna swallowed hard, the memories of those early years washing over her. “And now, I feel like I can’t let that happen again. My pride won’t let me. My ego won’t let me. I have to be perfect, always, and it’s— it’s too much.” She paused, her breathing uneven as she fought to gather her thoughts. “The pressure— it’s crushing me. And sometimes, I just…I feel too sensitive, too soft for all the noise, you know? For everything.”
“I’m not as strong as I pretend myself to be.” Her voice wavered as she said it, and she glanced up at Jeonghan, her eyes wide and full of uncertainty.
Admitting this to anyone else would have been impossible.
But Jeonghan? He was the only person on the planet she could admit that to.
The only person who made her feel safe enough to bare her soul.
Jeonghan listened silently, his hands never leaving her neck, his fingers caressing the soft skin there in gentle, calming strokes. His eyes never left hers, and in that moment, Luna knew— he wasn’t judging her, wasn’t frustrated with her. He was just there, solid and steady, giving her all the time she needed.
He took a few seconds after she finished, gathering his thoughts, his eyes never wavering from hers. And then, with a tenderness that made Luna’s heart ache, he spoke. “You don’t have to be perfect, you know that?” His voice was soft, yet firm— an anchor in the storm of her emotions. “No one is perfect. Not me, not you, not anyone. And that’s okay.”
He brushed his thumb across her bottom lip, his gaze deep and thoughtful. “I don’t love you because you’re perfect, Jiyeon. I love you because you’re you. Unapologetically you. The good, the bad, the pretty, the ugly— all of it.”
Luna’s lip trembled, but Jeonghan smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “You’re more than enough, baby. You always have been. I don’t need you to be anything other than who you are, right here, right now.”
Luna opened her mouth to protest, but Jeonghan cut her off, his voice gentle but insistent. “No, listen to me. Stop thinking like that. You’re not a burden. You never were.” His fingers slipped through her hair, his touch soft as he cradled her head in his hands. “You’re the strongest person I know. You’ve been through so much, and yet you’re still standing, still shining.”
“I don’t feel strong,” Luna mumbled, her voice thick with doubt as tears slowly fell out of her eyes.
Jeonghan shook his head, smiling at her with that knowing look as he wiped the tears away. “That’s because you don’t see yourself the way I do.” He tapped her nose lightly, making her blink in surprise. “I see someone who’s been fighting her whole life, someone who’s never backed down, even when things were hard.”
“But I—” Luna tried again, but Jeonghan cut her off with a teasing smirk.
“Ah, ah, no buts,” he teased, his voice a playful mix of softness and scolding. “You’re allowed to feel tired. You’re allowed to feel overwhelmed. But don’t for one-second think that makes you less amazing. You’re not supposed to carry everything on your own. I’m here, remember?”
Luna blinked up at him, her heart swelling at his words. “But what if I can’t—”
“Can’t what?” Jeonghan interrupted his tone light, yet filled with understanding. “Keep going? You’ve been keeping up just fine. Better than fine, actually.”
“But what if I don’t?” she whispered, her eyes filled with doubt.
Jeonghan’s smile softened, his voice dropping to a low murmur. “Then you lean on me. That’s what I’m here for. That’s what we do for each other. Plus you have twelve more people out there who are more than willing to be your support— you can have your pick.”
He leaned in, pressing a kiss to her forehead, lingering there as he whispered against her skin, “You’re not alone, Nana-ya. Not now, not ever.”
Luna didn’t know how she’d survived this long.
For years, it had felt like she was running on fumes, each step forward met with resistance from her own mind, her own doubts. But now, as she lay in Jeonghan’s arms, her head against his chest, feeling the steady rise and fall of his breathing, she understood.
She was looking at one of the reasons why.
Jeonghan was her anchor.
Every smile, every whispered reassurance, every small touch had kept her grounded when she felt like she was unraveling.
Jeonghan made her feel as though the world was spinning just for her like nothing else mattered but the two of them in this moment.
How easily he could make her feel seen, cherished, and loved— it was terrifying how much she was still falling for him, and yet, she couldn’t help it.
The deeper she fell, the safer she felt, as if his love was a cushion that would catch her no matter what.
Luna felt him press another kiss to her forehead, and before she could protest, he shifted slightly, reaching for his phone on the nightstand. Her fingers slipped from his chest and lazily found his hand, playing with his long fingers as he allowed her to, his grip soft but ever-present.
Luna watched him silently, her gaze tracing the familiar contours of his face— the delicate slope of his nose, the gentle arch of his brow, the way his lips moved slightly as he prepared to speak into the phone.
He glanced down at her, a soft smile tugging at his lips as he watched her play with his fingers, but then his attention shifted back to the call. “Hey, hyung,” Jeonghan said, his voice smooth and composed, though there was a hint of urgency beneath his words.
Luna’s heart swelled at the sound— it was her favorite sound in the world, his voice. So full of warmth, so full of love.
“Yeah, Jiyeonie’s not feeling well… No, no, she’s okay, but I need you to pick up some things.” There was a brief pause as he listened, his eyes flicking down to Luna again as he continued to let her fidget with his hand. “Some medicine for the flu… Yeah, and get some chamomile tea too. It’s her favorite.” His smile widened slightly as he said that, knowing how much comfort it would bring her.
Luna looked up at him as he spoke, her mind swimming in the soft cadence of his voice. She remembered what he had said earlier, about seeing herself the way he saw her. That thought stayed with her, echoing in her mind like a gentle hum.
She wanted to know— desperately— what it would be like to love herself the way Jeonghan did. To see herself not as a burden, but as someone worthy of care, worthy of love, for all the good and bad, the ugly and the pretty. Because no one had ever loved her like he did.
“Yeah, and one more thing,” Jeonghan’s voice brought her back to the present. “Can you grab her food for dinner on the way, too? The Korean restaurant… the place she loves here— yeah, the one in Koreatown. Thanks, hyung. I owe you.” He ended the call with his manager, setting the phone down and turning back to her.
Jeonghan’s gaze softened as he took in the way she looked up at him, her eyes full of wonder and love.
“I’m gonna take care of you,” he said softly, his voice wrapping around her like a promise, a vow he intended to keep.
And he did.
The next hour passed in a blur of warmth and gentle care.
When the doorbell rang, Luna let out a soft whine as Jeonghan carefully untangled himself from her. He chuckled, leaning down to press a quick kiss to her temple. “I’ll be right back, angel. Don’t worry,” he reassured her, his tone playful yet filled with affection.
True to his word, Jeonghan returned moments later with two bags in hand. One was filled with medicine—painkillers, cold medicine, and everything else she needed to combat the flu. The other was heavier, the delicious aroma of her favorite takeout filling the room as he set it on the table. He helped her sit up, propping pillows behind her as he opened the containers.
“Come on, you need to eat,” he coaxed gently, handing her a set of chopsticks.
Luna smiled gratefully, the smell of the food making her realize just how hungry she still was, despite feeling sick. They ate in comfortable silence, the easy rhythm of their natural conversation punctuated by the clink of chopsticks and soft laughter.
As they finished the meal, Jeonghan moved to the small kitchenette in the hotel room and began preparing her favorite chamomile tea. Luna watched him from the bed, her body sinking deeper into the plush comforter. Even the simple act of him boiling water and steeping the tea felt like an expression of love— like everything he did was a way of showing how much he cared for her.
He returned to her side with the steaming mug, blowing on it slightly before handing it to her. “Here, this will help your throat.”
Luna took the mug from him, the warmth seeping into her hands as she took a slow sip. The tea was soothing, the familiar floral notes calming her from the inside out.
Jeonghan then reached for the medicine he’d asked for, placing the pills into her hand and watching carefully as she swallowed them.
“Good job, Nana-ya,” Jeonghan praised her, knowing how much she hated drinking medicines.
After she had finished, he set an alarm on his phone for her next dose, determined to make sure she stayed on track with her medication.
“You’re really babying me,” Luna teased, her voice still a little raspy from the congestion, but there was a smile in her tone.
Jeonghan shrugged, that familiar mischievous glint in his eyes as he responded, “What can I say? You’re my favorite person to take care of.”
Luna felt her heart flutter at his words, the warmth spreading through her chest. “I’m really lucky to have you,” she whispered, her voice barely audible, but Jeonghan heard it loud and clear.
“No,” he corrected, leaning in to press his lips against her forehead once more. “I’m the lucky one.”
The room was bathed in the soft glow of moonlight, spilling in through the massive hotel windows that stretched from floor to ceiling.
Outside, the night sky was clear, and the moon hung like a silent guardian over the city below, casting an ethereal light across the room. Its glow painted the walls in silver, illuminating the quiet space where Luna and Jeonghan lay wrapped in each other’s arms.
Luna was curled into Jeonghan’s side, her head nestled against his chest, her body comfortably molded to his. Their legs tangled together under the covers, their shared warmth a cocoon that separated them from the world outside.
Jeonghan's hand rested on her back, his fingers moving in slow, gentle circles, the repetitive motion soothing her in a way only he could. With his free hand, Luna absentmindedly played with his fingers, her fingertips tracing the lines of his palm, their silent rhythm in sync, matching the slow rise and fall of their breathing.
The moonlight caught Luna’s eye, and from her place against Jeonghan, she stared out at it through the window, the silvery glow making the world seem calm and still. She watched as the moon floated in the vast expanse of the night sky, almost otherworldly in its beauty, and yet… so familiar. There was a quiet comfort in its light, a reminder of home, of memories that always seemed to resurface on nights like these.
Jeonghan noticed the shift in her attention. He felt the way her body relaxed even more against him, her breathing becoming deeper as her gaze remained fixated on the night outside. He followed her line of sight, but his focus quickly returned to her.
As Luna continued to gaze at the moon, Jeonghan found himself lost in a quiet, ironic admiration.
Here she was, completely mesmerized by the pale, glowing orb in the sky— and yet, to him, the real moon lay beside him, nestled in his arms.
Luna.
He watched the way her brown eyes glistened under the moonlight, their deep, warm color now reflecting the cool, silver light. Her expression was soft, almost dreamlike as if the light had cast a spell on her.
But Jeonghan knew better— it was she who had cast the spell on him.
He watched the way her brown doe eyes reflected the moonlight made them sparkle, turning her soft, innocent gaze into something more enchanting, almost siren-like, as though she were lost in thought, drawn into the beauty of the sky. Her pale porcelain skin, smooth and delicate, glowed under the moon’s light, and Jeonghan couldn't help but smile softly at the sight.
He took in every detail of her, from the gentle rise and fall of her chest as she breathed to the faint dusting of freckles across the bridge of her nose— something only visible up close, and he always found them endearing, a hidden piece of her beauty that not everyone got to see.
But he did.
He noticed everything.
The way her lips parted slightly as she lost herself in thought, the way her hair fell messily over her shoulder, catching the light in glittering strands.
Jeonghan admired her just as she admired the moon, realizing that to him, Luna was just as captivating— if not more so.
It was poetic, really, this silent moment between them.
As she gazed at the moon in the sky, Jeonghan found himself gazing at the moon in his arms.
Jeonghan admired her in silence, his heart swelling with affection. There was something so serene about Luna in moments like these, something that took his breath away every time.
She was beautiful in ways she didn’t even realize— imperfections that made her perfect to him.
As he continued to trace slow circles on her back, he vowed silently that he’d show her. He’ll make her see how perfect she is. How she’s so much more than she thinks.
The silence between them was comfortable, the quiet hum of the city outside a distant sound they barely noticed. Then, breaking the stillness, Luna’s soft voice filled the air, her eyes never leaving the moon.
"My mom loves the moon," she said quietly, her voice almost wistful.
Jeonghan’s eyes softened at the mention of her mother. He reached up with his free hand and gently brushed a stray hair off her face, tucking it behind her ear with a tenderness that made her heart skip a beat. "I know she does," he murmured in response, his voice low and gentle. "You told me before."
A small smile tugged at Luna’s lips, still staring up at the moon as if it held all the secrets of the universe. "She said if she wasn’t a ballerina, she would’ve been an astronaut," Luna giggled softly, a sound that made Jeonghan’s smile widen.
He loved it when she talked about her family— her face always lit up with a kind of soft nostalgia. Jeonghan listened, his hand continuing to move in gentle patterns on her skin, offering her the quiet comfort she needed.
"She used to tell me," Luna continued, her voice light with memory, "that she would talk to the moon and make wishes to it."
Jeonghan smiled at that, his thumb rubbing soothing circles on her back. “Yeah?” he asked, his voice just as soft.
Luna nodded, the movement subtle as her head remained resting on his chest. “I remember telling her she sounded crazy,” she chuckled, her laughter warm and full of affection.
Jeonghan’s eyes sparkled with playful mischief, and before Luna could react, he poked her side, his fingers finding her waist. "No, you didn’t," he teased, his voice playful.
Luna squealed, a burst of laughter escaping her as she squirmed slightly, turning to pout up at him. Her lips jutted out in an adorable frown as she met his teasing smile. "I did!" she insisted, her voice filled with mock indignation.
Jeonghan grinned down at her, his eyes twinkling as he admired the way her cheeks flushed, her pout softening into a smile. He was always so easily captivated by her— by the smallest details, the little quirks she didn’t even know she had.
Luna shifted her gaze back to the moon, her voice quieting as she spoke again. “She loved it so much, she named me after it.” Her words were almost whispered, and there was a reverence in her tone, as if the name held all the weight of her mother’s love.
Jeonghan’s chest tightened with affection. His eyes drifted between her and the moon outside, and a gentle smile tugged at his lips.
It was fitting, he thought, that Luna was named after the moon.
Just like the celestial body that lit up the darkest nights, she illuminated every part of his life, even the pieces he didn’t know needed light.
“Did you know,” Jeonghan broke the silence, his voice soft, “that the moon isn’t perfectly round?”
Luna raised an eyebrow at his sudden trivia, curiosity and amusement flickering in her eyes as she glanced up at him. “I did know that, nerd,” she teased, her tone playful as her lips curved into a smile.
Jeonghan chuckled, his playful side emerging as he stuck out his tongue and ruffled her hair. “If you knew that, then that makes you a nerd too, nerd.”
Luna let out a soft whine, quickly removing his hand from her head— not because she cared about him messing up her hair, but because she didn’t want to let go of his hand. She hated losing that connection, even for a second.
Jeonghan chuckled again, his tone softening as he cooed gently, “Okay, alright, I’m here.” He wrapped his arms more securely around her, pulling her even closer to him, and she let out a content sigh, her body relaxing once more into his embrace.
After a beat, Luna broke the silence, her voice soft but curious, “What was your point?”
Jeonghan hesitated for a second, his gaze lingering on her face, his thumb gently stroking her cheek. He cupped her face, the warmth of his palm grounding her. “The moon is full of imperfections,” he said, his voice tender, almost reverent.
Luna softened at his words, knowing exactly where he was going with this.
He was trying to prove his point, his way of telling her she was enough, even with her insecurities and doubts.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
She felt her chest tighten, but not in the panicked way it had at the airport. This pounding sensation was different. It was calm, steady, and tethered to him. She could feel her heart beating in sync with his, the rhythm of their shared breaths filling the space between them.
Jeonghan’s voice drew her back to the moment. “But people like your mom,” he continued, his eyes locking onto hers, “they still talk to it, still look for it when they can’t find it. And they still love it... and it still shines, regardless.”
Her eyes welled up with tears again, her heart aching at how deeply she loved him in that moment. No one had ever made her feel so seen, so deeply understood. The way he cherished her, imperfections and all, made her want to cry and laugh at the same time.
Jeonghan's hand gently wiped away a tear before it could fall, his expression soft but serious. “You’re no different, Jiyeonie,” he murmured, his voice full of affection. “I still talk to you, I still look for you when I can’t find you. And I still love you… and you still shine, regardless.”
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Her heart clenched at his words, and she could feel that familiar pounding again, not the anxious panic from before, but something far more peaceful— like her heart was trying to tell her that everything was okay.
The way his heart beat in time with hers soothed her, anchoring her. The tears slipped freely now, no longer held back by the dam she’d built around her emotions.
Jeonghan's expression shifted as he noticed her tears, his lips curling into a soft smile as he tried to lighten the mood. “But…” he said, drawing out the word as if he was about to reveal something serious.
Luna blinked up at him, her eyes still glassy, wondering where he was going. He smirked playfully. “One thing you won’t have in common with the moon is… being lonely.”
She furrowed her brow, trying to follow his train of thought. Before she could ask, he leaned in, his voice low but teasing, “You have me, my moon.”
That was it.
The floodgates opened again, but this time she chuckled through her tears, pushing him playfully. “You’re a nerd,” she whined, sniffling, “and a sap.”
Jeonghan laughed at that, his whole face lighting up with amusement. He reached out and wiped her face gently, his fingers brushing away the stray tears. “Aww, my little crybaby,” he teased her in baby talk, cooing at her like he was speaking to a child. “C’mon, no more tears, okay?”
Luna pouted, swatting at his hand, “Stop making me cry then!” Her voice wavered, a mix of frustration and affection, but even as she said it, she couldn’t help but smile.
Jeonghan grinned, unbothered by her playful complaint. “Oh, I’m sorry, is my love too overwhelming for you?” He teased, laughing softly as she glared at him half-heartedly.
“Shut up,” she muttered, though there was no real bite in her voice. Instead, she let herself melt into him again, feeling safe, loved, and seen.
Without warning, his fingers brushed her lips, the pad of his thumb grazing the soft curve of her mouth. Her breath hitched slightly at the unexpected tenderness of the touch, her pulse quickening.
The sensation was gentle, yet electrifying, as if his touch alone sends sparks dancing across. He traced the outline of her bottom lip slowly, deliberately, as though memorizing its shape.
Luna's heart pounded, and she felt the world narrow to just the two of them at that moment. Jeonghan's fingers moved with an almost featherlight touch, teasing yet reverent. His eyes flicked from her lips back to her eyes, and without a word, he began leaning closer, his breath mingling with hers.
Just as his lips were about to capture hers, Luna ducked her head, pressing her face into the crook of his neck. Jeonghan paused, clearly confused, his brow furrowing as he tried to understand what had just happened.
"You seem to forget," Luna mumbled against his skin, her voice muffled, "that I'm sick."
Jeonghan blinked, his large hand instinctively finding its place at the nape of her neck. He gently pulled her back, cupping her face so she had no choice but to look at him again. "No, I didn't forget," he replied, his tone laced with quiet confidence as he leaned in once more.
But Luna swerved again, her hand shooting up to block him as she glared at him, eyes firm but still soft. "Han! You're gonna get sick," she scolded, her voice a mix of exasperation and concern.
Jeonghan's brow quirked upward in challenge, the corner of his mouth lifting into a smirk. "Okay... and?" His eyes twinkled with amusement, clearly unconcerned.
Luna sighed, knowing this was a battle she was likely going to lose, but she pressed on. "Cheollie is gonna kill us both if we both end up sick— you know how he worries."
Jeonghan chuckled softly, clearly unimpressed by the argument. "It's worth the risk," he murmured, leaning in again to kiss her, but Luna pressed her palm against his chest, stopping him just short.
She was on her back now, and Jeonghan was sitting up over her, his arm braced on one side of her head, the other hand gripping hers firmly, yet gently. His touch was grounding, but there was a playfulness in his movements, a slow, deliberate tension in the way he held her still, his eyes never leaving hers.
"There's no guarantee I'll catch it, Nana-ya," he said softly, his voice low, the teasing lilt clear.
Luna bit her lip, shaking her head as her fingers curled against his chest. "Hannie— I can guarantee a hundred percent you'll catch it. It's already a risk that we're breathing the same air right now." Her eyes glinted with a mix of playfulness and worry as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer despite herself.
Jeonghan pouted dramatically, his expression boyish and unconvincing. "What makes you say that?" he asked, raising his brow as though daring her to argue further.
"Because you're you, Yoon Jeonghan," Luna retorted, her voice light, teasing. "You might have a weaker immune system than me." Her smile was cheeky, but her gaze was tender.
Jeonghan's jaw dropped in mock offense, his eyes narrowing as if deeply insulted.
"Says the girl who's already sick!" he shot back, his voice playfully accusatory.
"Exactly!" Luna exclaimed, triumphant. "Which is why you're gonna be a good boy and move to your side of the bed and leave the kisses to a minimum until I get bett–”
Her sentence was cut off abruptly as Jeonghan, with a swift and determined motion, cupped her neck with one hand and pulled her to him, capturing her lips in a kiss that left no room for protest. The warmth of his mouth on hers was intoxicating, the softness of his lips moving with an easy confidence that made her head spin.
Luna's defenses crumbled instantly. Her hands that had been pushing him away moments ago now gripped the fabric of his shirt, pulling him closer as she melted into him.
The kiss was slow and deliberate, Jeonghan's lips moving against hers with a rhythm that left her breathless. He smiled against her mouth, his smirk felt more than seen, and it sent a thrill down her spine.
The sensation of his lips was dizzying, a perfect blend of softness and firmness, a touch that was both teasing and sure. It was like he was savoring the moment, dragging it out, knowing he had won this small victory.
Every movement, every shift of his mouth against hers felt like a carefully calculated move, designed to make her give in, and she was powerless to resist.
When they finally pulled away, Luna was speechless, her breath coming in short, uneven bursts as she tried to gather her thoughts. Her lips tingled, the remnants of the kiss lingering like a warm haze.
Meanwhile, Jeonghan leaned back slightly, a smug grin tugging at his lips, his eyes alight with amusement.
"Well," he began, his tone teasing and oh-so-condescending, "looks like someone didn't mind that too much." He winked at her, his voice dropping into a sing-song tone as he added in baby talk, "Aww, is my sick little Jiyeonie all flustered now?"
Luna gaped at him, still trying to recover, before shoving him playfully. "You're the worst," she muttered, though her voice lacked any real venom.
She couldn't deny it— he had won, and they both knew it.
Luna shook her head at Jeonghan’s smug expression, her chest still fluttering from the lingering kiss. “You’re absolutely insufferable, you know that?” she muttered, though the smile tugging at her lips betrayed any irritation she tried to muster.
Jeonghan let out a low chuckle, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “Mmm, but you love me for it,” he teased, leaning down to rest his forehead against hers, their breaths mingling in the intimate space between them.
She huffed, half-heartedly shoving him again, but this time her hand stayed on his chest, her fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt. “I never said that,” she replied, her voice soft, and playful, though the affection in her eyes was impossible to hide.
“Didn’t need to.” His voice dropped to a near whisper, the teasing edge softening into something tender as he shifted slightly, his arm wrapping protectively around her waist. “It’s written all over your face, Jiyeonie.”
Luna felt her cheeks heat under his gaze, her usual quick wit failing her as she looked up at him. “Shut up,” she murmured, burying her face in his chest to avoid the intensity of his stare, though she couldn’t stop the giggle that escaped her.
Jeonghan hummed in response, pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head as his fingers began tracing soothing patterns on her back. “Mmm, whatever you want,” he whispered, his voice low and lazy now as if the teasing energy from before had melted into something softer, more intimate.
The conversation slowed, their words becoming fewer and farther between as they lay together, wrapped up in the warmth of each other’s presence. Their voices were no more than whispers in the quiet of the night, the sound of their breaths mingling with the gentle hum of the city outside.
“We still haven’t told the guys about us… been too busy,” Luna mumbled sleepily, her eyelids growing heavy as her head rested comfortably against Jeonghan’s chest.
Jeonghan smiled faintly, his fingers still lazily tracing over her skin. “We’ll figure it out. We always do,” he murmured, his voice a soothing lull in the quiet room.
“Hmm,” Luna hummed, her arms tightening slightly around him. “I don’t want you getting sick…”
Jeonghan’s lips brushed her forehead again, his voice barely audible as he whispered, “Nothing matters but you, Jiyeonie.”
There was something about the way Jeonghan said it— soft, sure as if it was the simplest truth in the world. The tenderness of the moment wrapped around them like a blanket, warm and safe, and Luna’s heart swelled in response.
“Don’t say that because I could say the same thing about you,” Luna whispered it out.
The words hung in the air, delicate and true, as the weight of the day began to pull them both under.
Jeonghan’s hand brushed through her hair, the same tender care present in every touch, every glance. It was the way he held her when the world became too much, the way he listened without needing words. It was the sweet nothings they exchanged, the unspoken promises, the quiet love that bloomed in the spaces between their conversations.
Their breathing fell into sync, the quiet rhythm of their bodies melding together in the shared silence. Jeonghan’s hand slowly stilled on her back, his thumb brushing against her side in slow, sleepy strokes. Luna’s eyelids fluttered, her mind drifting in and out of consciousness, her body relaxing fully into his embrace.
The warmth of Jeonghan’s presence, the steady beat of his heart beneath her ear, grounded her as her breathing slowed, her body sinking deeper into the bed. Luna’s last thought before sleep took her was the gentle comfort of his arms around her, the soft press of his lips on her hair, and the way his fingers felt like home as they held her close.
The sincerity in his words wrapped around her like a blanket, and Luna knew— no matter how hard things got, no matter how overwhelming the world outside could be, here, with him, she would always be safe.
She would always be loved.
And in the quiet of that truth, she let herself finally surrender to sleep, knowing that in this moment, nothing else mattered but them.
