Alright let's do this one last time...

My name's Melon, I like making rambles about looney tunes characters, and I've been baking for the past 2 years almost strictly in discord. So I figured I'd finally organise my notes and compile them in a place where I can find them.

Some are dated, some are scrappy, and I'm not gonna be moving all my looney tunes fanart to this blog aside from just reblogging them. I'm gonna be blunt, I write a little pretentiously.

I'm not any more knowledgeable on how to interact with people on tumblr than I was several years ago, but if by some stroke of circumstance you feel like sending asks or prompts, I'll be happy to respond!!

Why make a side blog if you're still posting your looney tunes fanart on your main?

This blog is made for archival purposes, alongside incessant looney tunes posting. I don't want to isolate all my looney tunes content into one blog, but I don't want to clog my main with all my rambles without warning. It'd be too cluttered for me since I do mainly use that blog for multi-fandom art posting. So after months of consideration, I finally caved in and went with this.

As of Dec 2023 of making this, I don't know if this blog will live for long, but I hope whatever stuff I've written can be enjoyed by friends, looney tunes buffs, and even newcomers.

How knowledgeable are you of the looney tunes?

I'm frankly quite limited in my knowledge. I've consumed some of the comics, some of the classic shorts, some of the spin off shows, some documentaries, obscure radio shows, audio discs, and read Anvils, Mallets and Dynamite by Jaime Weinman, Living Life inside the Lines by Martha Sigall and have been in the process of finishing Chuck Amuck.

I have been trying to pull myself back into the long term classic looney tunes shorts binge. I'm more likely to watch Duck Dodgers again. Help me /j

Why do you say "Dorky" in some of your rambles?

Because I can. /j

Dorky is me/Baffy Void's go-to term in referring to Daffy and Porky. Sometimes in platonic or romantic connotations -- could be simultaneous. I don't know if there's a "correct" ship name for them, but I live under a rock when it comes to looney tunes discourse and what-not.

Speaking of, stance on looney tunes discourse?

Sometimes I'm intrigued enough to offer my two cents. Other times I don't feel compelled to engage with it. So as of now, I'm fine with being exposed or told of it, but there's no guarantee that I'll respond to it. If my stance changes in the future, hopefully I'll be cognizant enough to update this answer.
