I often think about Nightmare "recruiting" Killer. It's always something that has so many ways to be taken. Personally, I like to think he was crushed for the longest time, before eventually his view shifted when the others began to join the gang, and slowly he realized this was his new start, his new life. And he accepted that, consciously or not.
