Whilst it may look like Odysseus was carrying the nymph, Melinoë, it was actually the aftermath of a fierce battle. The Underworld Princess had successfully launched an attack, crawling onto the man's back as the man played the role of her fated enemy. A hard won fight. One that utterly drained the young Goddess as she was being carried to her bed.

"I got you." She mumbled, shifting slightly in Odysseus' embrace to get more comfy.

Absolutely love your new Rhea design! I love seeing a character who is on equal footing with Chronos and can mock him freely (also, Mel being so confused/awkward about the whole situation is so funny to me)

Glad you like it !! :D To me Rhea could very easily beat his ass, but she doesn't for a good number of reasons, one of them being that their relationship has always been a lot of teasing but at a godly/ titanesque scale.

To Melinoë's dismay, Rhea will not fight Chronos although will sometimes show up and mock him, wherehas Chronos will act annoyed (probably is to some degree) but will retaliate in a similar manner.

When Cameron wakes up, there is a piercing ringing sound coming from somewhere in the cabin. It sounds like an alarm, and goes off once every 15 minutes, for one minute.

Unfortunately, it’s not restricted to the cabin. It follows him everywhere. And in addition to there being no discernible source, Cameron is the only one who can hear it.

Cameron groaned as some weird ear-splitting ringing goes off in his ear for the maybe tenth time that day. Everywhere he went, it seemed to ring over and over again, beginning to cause him a migraine. It was hard enough trying to walk with crutches and just one leg, the alarm-like sound was making it worse. Furthermore, no one else seemed to be bothered by it, apparently because they couldn't hear it, only him. "Can my life get any worse..." he sighed to himself, very tired and done with everything.

Lilith couldn't believe her ears, couldn't believe words such as those ever being spoken by the goddess, at least not towards her. For all her admiration and love she had for the other, Lilith never tried to overstep a boundary. After all, she wanted to distinguish herself from those weirdos who thought they were worthy enough to fuck a cosmic horror, a god, or another entity of some sort and then go out of their way to summon them (and not properly at that) so that by the end of the day at the same place that scene has happened there was nothing but blood left. Those degenerates.

No, Melinoe deserved better, much better.

But perhaps those other cases had made Lilith not take into consideration that Melinoe could have laid her eyes on her. She should have paid more attention to that. Thankfully, her idol knew how to graciously redirect it in the right direction. "Your wish is my command" escaped her lips, and like a most loyal devotee, leaned in, sinking her teeth into the soft skin.

Does Dionysus have any siblings from both parents? I explain: if Zeus is his father, then yes, he will have many half-siblings, but 'siblings'? As, both from father and mother? Hope I explained that well, English is not my first language.

You've explained youself perfectly ! But, sadly, no :( Not in the way people would want, I'm afraid.

Unless you consider Dionysus son of Zeus and Persephone, then yes, he has a sister from both father and mother, Melinoe. Yes, sadly, she's not Hades' daughter, as much as people want to believe that. I wanted to do it as well, but since we only have ONE source of her existence, and where the father stated is Zeus, then, nope.

Persephone had Melinoe with Zeus, who was disguised as Hades. Melinoe is considered Hekate too, by some. But that's another story.

The Orphic Hymns are a very realiable source for my shenanigans, but the whole Zeus and Persephone thingy is just... Uncomfortable. YES gods being siblings or any other family members were together, BUT they don't think it's that important the whole family thingy. Like for example, Zeus and Hera are siblings, yes, but they were mostly called husband and wife.

Now, Zeus and Persephone... They are always, ALWAYS reminding people that they were father and daughter, that what they did was something proihibited. They never say that with other relationships. So... Yeah. EVEN for the gods, a father and a daughter is intented to be... Weird. That's why i never choose this interpretation, and instead I go for the Zagreus one, in which Dionysus' parents are Persephone and Hades.

Soooo in the end, Melinoe DOES count as his sibling, just... Not in the way most people would want to. And the only hymn we have about her is only, like, seven lines long, so...

Or, well, Persephone would be his sister instead of mother if you made Demeter his mother, I guess.

She has... no idea who this is... or why they're throwing bedding at her. Perhaps this is someone Lord Hypnos once knew?

They sit together on the beach watching the moon and stars and waves, finally allowing tired, battle-worn limbs a much needed rest. The silence is comfortable, peaceful—finally—in contrast to the remnants of Chronos's destruction behind them. The only sounds are that of the wind, the gentle rush of waves against rocks and ruins of ships and homes alike, and her, breathing softly.

(He holds his own, if only to hear hers better; he's long gotten used to not needing breath, anyway.)

But as the moon begins to descend behind them and the stars slowly blink out one by one as the gentle pink glow of dawn begins to fade its way into the distant horizon, Icarus feels the pull of the Underworld more and more. It shouldn't surprise him, he supposes, with the House of Hades restored. But he is surprised by how much he wishes he had more time—just a little more time—to stay in this perfect little eternity before the world goes back to what it should be. He wanted to take her flying, if only once. It's selfish and greedy, he knows, but he's just a man. Not even that. Not anymore. One would think he'd learn after reaching for the sun, but it would seem the moon, too, is beyond him. Still, if he's fated to fall no matter what...

He finally takes a breath, sighs, and stands. When he looks back at her and holds out his hand to help her up, he's smiling.

it was done. finally she has succeeded, her task fulfilled, the order of things restored. there is a feeling in the air something that tickles her skin like a light breeze - death has returned onto the world and so did the ghosts rightful final resting place. she should be happy, should rush down to greet her family but...

...melinoe finds herself afraid. everything was about to change for her. she wants to reach out for icarus hand, hold it in hers to assure herself that he would stay. he had been a constant in her life - sweet, reliable icarus with his melancholic eyes and dreamy smile. would he be able to stay in the house? would he need to go somewhere else?

she knows her little spell may lose its power with this night, that she should bask in selene's light one last time and gaze upon her. but mismatched eyes focus solely on the soul by her side. she is sure the moon will forgive her.

when he stands up she worries icarus might suggest leaving but instead... melinoe blinks for a moment before returning his smile. green ghostly fingers brush against his as she stands up and steps close to him, fingers entwined. "I will follow your lead" she whispers, having their foreheads touch for now. melinoe had been shaped to be a weapon, dancing had not been an... essential skill.

Mermaid Melinoe in the Myths AU:

So, in this AU, Melinoe is a half-mermaid who grew up in an England coastal town (I wanna say Bournemouth, but a part of me is thinking, does it really matter?) and was raised by her mother for the first ten years of her life. Much like in the main story, Melinoe's mother, Nietune, dies when Melinoe is 11.

Melinoe leaves the town to find her father in the ocean. She doesn't have much luck finding him and has even worse luck when she's found by another mermaid named Heiss who promptly kidnaps her and drags her deep into the sea.

Melinoe remains in the sea for the next ten years. Trapped alongside another half-mermaid named Eglantine. One time skip later, Eglantine is killed by Heiss but is able to help Melinoe escape to the surface for the first time in ten years. She did, however, get some pretty bad injuries during all this and ends up washing up on some random beach. Where he's found by Cody.

And that's pretty much where the story starts in this AU.
