things and ideas and other ideas that I still have that I need to do or maybe do

1, my portal app universe: a universal all the port of characters are at and the uses are across the test subjects, Chell, Mel and 18 or Jess as I call her, are best friends, one day their phone started to malfunction, Wheatley the Facebook app, Nigel not sure what app is going to be but it's ok for you lot to help me out I need to know what app Nigel can be, it needs to fit in with his personality, and everyone is probably expecting for Virgil to be the repair app no he's not an app he's actually the repair man that fixes phones, and that is how Mel and Virgil is going to meet, and of course this a Portal au, we are  going to have the usual Black Mesa company in this, thinking of comic or story

  2. portal Star Wars AU: I know some people have kind of works on this but this is my version of my own portal Star Wars AU, and I'm a Virgil fan, so I'm always going to bring up Virgil, so my OC character is going to be the Luke Skywalker of this AU, If You're expecting Virgil to be dark Vader because my OC is his daughter, I am sorry to say this but no, my oc is going to be one with the force the good guys of the Star Wars people but Virgil is an outsider so he would have course as the classic orange lightsaber, because everyone says that Virgil's eye glows  orange, and because why not, and orange is in the 70s colour palette

    3. 70s portal AU: well this is going to be so much fun, no one has ever done a story or a art picture of the 70s aperture, well there has been some pictures of it damaged and broken or something about Cave Johnson, but I'm not going to do anything about that guy because I don't like him, if any of you have seen or played Portal 2 to you know what I mean, I'm not sure what's going to happen in this AU, but it's going to involve a lot of Virgil-ness

  4. writing about the characters and giving them backstories: because of course why wouldn't a fan of the portal game give a favourite character a very bad and dark and depressing backstory, that really hurts the character and makes them going to a depressive state, because we're just big fans of that character don't care, I think, but you will be warned, because here a little things about me I have a dark and depressing and psycho side, so my backstories might be a little bit too gory and depressing, and yeah, you can tell this is going to be crazy, and if you don't like the part and find it offensive what I said about us giving our favourite characters and kind of painful back story and that we don't care, that's kind of true, we're all in the same boat, don't believe me just look at the way you was about your characters backstory or anything like that that will give a hint to that backstory

    5. undertale, deltarune, portal and Half-Life crossover AU: I know they're not in the same AU but I was thinking about it, because why not, because I like undertale and deltarune too good games made by Toby Fox, also I'm not much into half-life franchise but it's a good game, “I'm still waiting for Portal 3 valve”, and if any of you tell me to give up, I'm not the type of person that will give up, because I still have hopes and dreams and determination and this is why I like undertale and deltarune

  6. MLP portal au: yes, yes, I know, I know, my little pony is a thing for kids but I still like it, you don't realise that adults that do like it shows including My Little Pony not talking about the bronies the bad ones and I’m talking about the good ones because yeah, there's also going to be references and easter eggs to the my Little Portal show, still waiting for the next episode

    7. what if portal AU: as you can tell by this portal AU, this is going to be a what if thing, so yeah, you can put your what ifs in the comments, of course we're going to have a couple of  my what if's, and they're all going to be about, the one, the only, Virgil, watch my if are going to evolve about because I love the character so much I can't stop thinking about him

  8. me telling everyone what I have done to Virgil in my head: it is not what you think and this is not AU, this is what I am done to myself, call me crazy or insane because I really have a really bad obsession of him, I know some people can be like that but I really took it to the maximum, like really really far into the unknown of Outer Space, so here we go, I have made my own religion about him, please don't be spamming in the comments about it, I know it sounds crazy, but, this is who I am, and my cousin and friends have to deal with it, if I don't talk about him or say about him I will go mad, like insane mad, ok, please don't get the wrong idea about this

    9. I am not afraid to draw pictures and just show my emotions and how I'm feeling: I know some portal artists don't do this, but I do, like it would probably be a picture of me talking to Virgil or any of the other portal characters, because well I don’t want anyone feel bad for me, it's perfectly normal, some people feel like this and they don't know how to describe the emotions in how their feeling, but the pictures would show something like be kind or to accept others or something like that, I know people already do that but, what about yourself, there is always that feeling about yourself, and yeah, so be happy, and make sure you always have someone to talk to, because why not, 😊

  10. Murder Drones portal AU: so I have watched this Prologue thing called Murder Drones on YouTube made by a channel called The Glitch channel, you can go check them out and subscribe to them. and my favourite character in Murder Drones series have to be n, he cute, he funny (not as cute as Virgil), and yeah, I'm not going to tell you what the series is about, because I don't want to spoil it, ok? Ok

Virgil as Gordon Freeman: this is the last thing I'm going to say before it is too much, and don't ask why I thought of this, I just did, I know this sounds like a bad idea, just imagine your Virgil in hevc suit and with a crowbar, that would be powerful, how can that be powerful, this is a little bit of a spoiler to half-life alyx, the character Russell says Gordon Freeman escape out of Black Mesa with a crowbar, and it does sound crazy, and it does mean Virgil will be wielding guns, and Rainbow core/James will be alyx vance, instead of half-life alyx it will be half-life James, and because I ship Virgil and Rainbow core, and that it

Generally, I’m certain that anyone can do tags regardless of whether they were tagged or not, but I mostly do the ones that I was tagged in, unless there’s something super cool around that I really want to do. I guess it’s because I have way less time to devote to simblr now.

Your name: Regina. I go by Mel on the internet and I highkey enjoy the contrast between my fancy first name and my rather simple nickname

Languages you speak: My first languages are Ukrainian and Russian, and I'd also say Polish (I don't speak it on a regular basis but I used to go to Polish school for the first seven years of my education, and my mom's side of family is Polish so I know the language very well). Then there's English, of course, which I've been studying since very young age, and German, which I have some basic knowledge of. I used to study Spanish too but my knowledge of it is even more limited

Are you a mermaid: Nah, I'm more of an alien 👽

Your play style: For a long time I almost exclusively did legacies and some side projects branching from them. But - spoilers - I want to try a completely new blogging style and pay more attention to stories, sim making whenever I feel like it, and maybe some gameplay reminiscent of my ts2 uberhood, because it brings me SO much joy. All this stuff isn't as pressuring as legacies and is much better for my mental health. More on that soon.

How was your day: It’s just getting started, but yesterday was nice for me in terms of simming, because I finished my CAS BPR and did some essential scenes in the Lilygreen legacy to end my queue on a positive note

Your favorite aspiration: If I'm honest, I rarely fulfill them. I'm a kinda laid back sims player who doesn't go to great lengths for all the game challenges and sees the game more like a creative outlet

The size of your mods folder: 8.48 GB (ts3) and 10.9 GB (ts2). I’m actually shocked because I was pretty sure ts3 one was bigger. It’s also funny because my ts2 game runs super smoothly while ts3... not so much, and note that it’s hairs that take up 90% of the folder

Your 3 favorite mods: Master Controller, Pose Player, and Time/Weather change mod

Your interests (other than sims): I love drawing, writing poetry and prose, spending time with friends, volunteering, travelling, photography. I'm very passionate about teaching English and I'm pretty sure I could land a teacher job soon which I'm super excited about

Which Sims games you have played (including mobile games): I've played all the four parts, even though I only touched ts1 a few times and it kept crashing anyway, so it's not as nostalgic for me as for many players. For me a “nostalgic” and special game is ts2, and the one that helps me express my creativity in the best way is ts3, so I love them both. I don't like ts4 that much but it has good sides and I can play it once in a while when I have a craving. As for other games, for me everything basically started with ts2 Life Stories! I'm still not over that Naomi choice where you have to give up your wealth or she dies. Also, I played sims mobile once but deleted it quickly because it was just too much sims for me and I didn't want to become addicted (for this reason I hardly ever install any games on my phone)

Propose a crazy scheme: Let's, I don't know, be nice, understanding and helpful to each other? Crazy, right? 😂

Best part of simblr: Creative and kind people who inspire me every day

Worst part of simblr: Unfortunately, there are also toxic people who crave drama and you can't escape them even in such a wholesome community

What other games you play: I'm not much of a gamer, but I do have some nonsims favourites. I love Undertale and Deltarune very dearly, and I'm also very much into Choices (my current jams are Blades of Light and Shadow and Bloodbound). Pretty sure I've played more good games but they're escaping my mind now.

Other websites or accounts (origin, twitter etc..): I have a Twitter, where I talk a lot about the game, my plans, my fandoms and completely random stuff. I'm semi-active there because it's not as lively as it used to be, so you're welcome to follow if you have a sims twitter too, I definitely need more people to interact with!

Are you single: Yeah and I don’t really mind it, even though I wouldn’t want to stay this way forever. On a related note, this question and the woohoo one stick out among the others in a kinda weird way

with some reshuffling (cheating) i've managed to get a few games on the card that otherwise were not going to make it on.

for subtitle: portal stories: mel

if you like portal 2 and you want more of it, this is easily a first stop for you. the game has its problems (my main one being that the intro is way WAY too long - it's basically a 20 minute walking simulator which i have to tilt my head and squint to even find any redeeming quality for it), but once it gets going, it is very good at playing in the sandbox of portal 2. it basically says: hey, you know all that stuff you learnt? let's see how far we can push it. it also comes with a story and voice acting, which i was very impressed at for a free fan-made game.

for realistic: portal reloaded

what portal reloaded lacks compared to portal stories: mel, it more than makes up for in the way it recreates the mind-bending feeling of working with portals for the first time. the gimmick here is that, as well as the normal two portals, you have a time (!) portal. this means you can hold up to FIVE portals at a time. (it takes some time to get your head around but two portals in the present + two portals in the future + time portal = five portals.) it seems clear to me that the creator thought A LOT about what rules this would need and how this would affect things and for the most part does an excellent job of teaching the player how these rules work in the same way portal/portal 2 did: slowly introducing one piece at a time and letting the player test things out for themselves.

for sacrifice: subsurface circular

i get the impression this is just one of those games that was not for me. it was fine - i enjoyed the experience, but the ending fell a little flat for me and made me realise that there wasn't much individual experience to the game, if that makes sense? it was sort of like the walking dead in that my choices didn't seem to impact the game much, but at least with the walking dead, even knowing that was the case, i still thought a lot about what my choices meant for the characters and who that made me. without that, being able to pick any old dialogue without much thought, i felt ultimately underwhelmed.

do i even need to say much here? loved it, even replayed several hours of it right after i finished because i missed the secret boss :)

if i had one complaint, it would be not nearly enough lancer :(

on a strictly neutral note, loads of people seemed to like the spamtom boss more than/find it harder than jevil but i completed spamton i think on the second or third try? the worst thing about it was honestly the cups back up, the fight itself always felt very doable. jevil on the other hand? woof.

for transformation: yakuza 0

my reason for putting this one here is that this is the prequel to the yakuza series, and so i think it's all about how the characters of that series became the people they are today. (though I wouldn't know as this was my entry into the series.)

wow, this game blew me away. i spent literally 200+ hours on it and i am usually the sort of person to look at those kinds of numbers and think why would i ever spend that amount of time on something? but this game seriously hit my completionist side and love of emotional stories and also just the whole dorky attitude of it.

(also i fell in love with a video game character but let's not talk about that.)

my only complaint about this game is that the first chapter particularly was WAY too much cutscene. i think the first time i was able to save it told me i'd been playing for two hours and i was like.... bro i think i've had actual control of the character for 20 mins tops. anyway once i was let free on the city it was a lot better bc i was roughly in control of when the cutscenes would happen so while they could still be quite long (i mean, so long that the game literally paused because there had been no input to my controller for too long), it felt like i was getting a lot more bang for my buck.

i'll cut myself off here before i start going on about everything i loved about this game (which might take several paragraphs), but i'm definitely curious now about going into the main series. a lot of stuff in this game was references to things that were going to happen (e.g. "you get a strange feeling you'll see this guy again some day", the fortune teller who tells you you'll have, i think it was 7 children??), a lot of the specifics of which went over my head but I could see it was obviously a reference to the series as a whole. anyway, i'm looking forward to getting to uncover those gems in reverse (as in, for people familiar with the series playing yakuza 0, they get the 'hey, i see what you did there :)' kick playing yakuza 0, but i'll get the 'oh so that's what that was referencing :)' when playing the rest of the series).
