#mel jay vik fic

i started thinking about meljayvik truth or dare while I waited for my logon at work soooo idk here's what I wrote:

“Truth or dare!” Viktor slurs, slamming his hand onto the table while taking a swig from the bottle. Without letting anybody else say anything, he yells: “ ‘ll go first! TRUTH!!!” and the bottle he is holding sloshes again in the direction of his mouth but is intercepted by Jayce, who takes it from him and quietly places it on the floor. 

Viktor is too drunk to even notice the bottle has been taken from his hand, so he just goes quiet for a second, leaning both of his hands on the table and pulling himself up to sit straight. He looks from Mel, to Jayce, and then back to Mel. Holds their gaze for a few seconds each, his half-lidded eyes threatening to close up on him but no, dammit! This is important! 

He takes a deep breath and finally, in the most serious, stoic tone he can muster, all of the excitement from the previous sentences completely erased. 

“ I... know.” he drags out. 

Mel taps Jayce’s arm, signaling him to pass the bottle to her. She takes a deep drink, scrunches her forehead, confused, asks “know what?” 

Viktor sighs, now. “ about you two. What you do.” 

Jayce is thinking that Viktor is way past his bedtime and he should get him to lay down or something, anything that will save him the humiliation of acting like common knowledge is somehow a state secret. “ Viktor, everyone knows that Mel and I are together. They’ve known for awhile now” he says.

Mel nods slowly from Jayce’s side. 

Viktor scoffs and waves his hand “ no no no… I know…the other thing”

He lowers his voice now, pointedly looking from one to the other back and forth, as if they were two children that got in trouble and must be talked sense into. 

“ I. know… that both of you keep picking fights with me because it makes you horny.” 

Mel spits out her drink. Jayce looks like this information shot him into another galaxy and back, he looks like he cant breathe (is he having a panic attack?? should someone help him?)

Viktor just asks “Tell me more” he raises his brows and tells them “I don’t think it’s fair that I’m doing so much work and getting no benefit from this situation… so, let’s talk”

The general gist of the picture (and I can go in more detail later) is Knightfall Vader/Anakin, Maul, Fallen Ahsoka, and Rex on their way to hunt down Palpatine. There's no gore, but Maul/Rex/Ahsoka are pretty bloody and beat up from surviving the Venator crash.

addition: after all, i did make an au of viktor being sold to jayce by the orphanage caretaker in exchange for continued house talis patronage. who's to say the same isn't happening here? a poor underci-ahem, zaunian-orphanage would greatly benefit from the patronage from lady medarda and lord talis. even if that means giving up two children? (...mel and jayce being freak4freak lmaoooooo love it)
