Okay, so if you're up to it, then fic prompt for the PWF 'verse with the song 'Savior' by Rise Against in mind? Maybe some wonderful, beautiful angst? And with a focus on the whole song, but especially either the chorus or this part: "There is no reconciliation that will put me in my place / And there is no time like the present to drink these draining seconds / But seldom do these words ring true when I'm constantly failing you / Walls that we just can't break through until we disappear." 💖
Fandom: The Umbrella Academy Pairing: Klaus x Reader Word Count: 1.1k Rating: T Warnings: Recreational drug use, alcohol, swearing a/n: Thank you for this delicious angsty prompt, Mel! This is somewhat of a continuation of the flashback from PwF Chapter 5.
——
I love you.
Three little words. Three little words that threatened to shake his life apart.
Taking a shuddering breath Klaus rolled off the mattress and silently fumbled for his clothes scattered about the floor. As he slowly dressed he resisted the urge to look behind him at the sleeping figure now sprawled next to an empty space in the bed that come morning would be cold.
Trying not to think how much this hurt, how much it’d hurt her, Klaus pushed his feet into his worn chucks and shuffled toward the door. As he reached for the doorknob he paused, his shoulders tensing, his conscience itching with guilt, and against his better judgement he turned and looked back.
[Y/N] shifted in her sleep, reaching for where he’d been, her hair falling across her forehead as a soft sigh escaped her parted lips and Klaus nearly broke, kicking his shoes back off and crawling back into bed next to her.
No, he told himself, forcing himself to turn away though tears stung his eyes. He had to leave, this time for real. He had to go where she couldn’t follow, because follow she would. She always had. [Y/N] deserved so much more and he’d only hold her back if he stayed. If what he felt for her was love as well, then the kindest thing he could do would be to set her free. Free to find someone better than him.
Pushing the door open he stepped out into the hall, knowing that when it shut there’d be no turning back. No matter how many times she’d offered him a key, he’d turned her down. It was easier that way. It wasn’t permanent that way.
The click of the door sounded like a gavel falling, declaring his guilt, too loud in his ears and he took a deep breath, shoving his hands in his pockets before taking off down the familiar hallway and out into the night.
Out on the street the chill air cut through his long patchwork coat, sending it fluttering out behind him, but Klaus didn’t bother pulling it closer around himself. He deserved the discomfort, he told himself; it was a small price to pay for breaking a heart, after all.
The alleyway he often frequented to stock up on his usual brand of escapism wasn’t far and he forced a grin as he discreetly glanced both ways before entering, his dealer pushing off the brick wall as he saw him coming.
“Th’usual, eh, Klaus?”
“Yeah, hit me,” he exclaimed, rubbing his inked palms together expectantly. Money exchanged hands and Klaus left the alley, the small packet clutched in his fist feeling like salvation.
The packed club with the flashing lights and flashier people was the perfect place for him to drown out the voices in his head and numb the regret clawing at his insides like some feral beast. The pills went down easy and the alcohol went down even easier and Klaus lost count of how many drinks he downed in an attempt to forget her face. The only thing he discovered was that no amount of drugs would help with that, though they certainly helped lighten his conscience.
Lured onto the dancefloor by the music and a pretty stranger, Klaus closed his eyes, moving to the beat, trying to find that carefree place that usually came so much easier when he was high. His body felt good, so why didn’t he feel good?
The club spun around him and his stomach lurched as he fell to the ground, his vision swimming as he looked up, dark spots floating across the room. This wasn’t working. Each face in the crowd looked like hers, their eyes judging him and he ran; emptying his stomach on the cracked sidewalk outside. Doubled over he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and straightened, catching sight of a nearby police cruiser, and an idea came to him.
Somewhere she couldn’t follow.
Turns out getting arrested was easy. All he had to do was make an ass of himself to the right people.
Sitting in the holding cell a strange pleased feeling gripped him, like some fleeting madness -- he’d done it! and he barked an empty laugh when the guard asked him if he wanted his one phone call.
“Hey Diego! My favourite brother! So, uh, funny story, but I’m in jail again!” he laughed, fighting to hold onto the manic grin on his lips while clutching the greasy phone receiver and eyeing the guard watching him. “Isn’t that - isn’t that funny? Could you tell [Y/N] that I won’t be coming back? They’ll probably send me to rehab again, so I won’t be seeing her for a bit. Thanks buddy!”
The guard grunted as he hung up, escorting him back to his cell for the night, shoving him across the threshold and he stumbled, catching himself before completely tumbling to the concrete. Curling up into a ball on the hard bench Klaus wrapped his arms around himself, shivering, catching his thoughts as they longed for [Y/N]’s bed, her soft body pulling him close, her voice murmuring soothing words until his eyes would flutter shut, consciousness slipping into blissful oblivion.
He always slept so much better when she was around. Not just anyone. Her.
She was always there to pick him up again when he fell. Her smiling face the first one he wanted to see when he was lonely. Her laughter, infectious and carefree. Her fingers running through his hair or tangled in her sheets. The inside jokes they shared from years and years and years ago...
They’d always said you never missed a good thing til it was gone, y’know in the songs, and Klaus had never really understood til now.
The thought of [Y/N] waking to an empty bed, no idea where he’d gone, hurt and alone, was almost too much, and though he knew Diego would fill her in, it still stung.
He’d gotten everything he wanted, achieved everything he’d set out to do, not but only a couple hours earlier, so why did it feel so empty? Why didn’t he feel relieved?
“Because this isn’t what you want,” Ben whispered from across the room.
“It is,” he hissed, scrunching his eyes up harder, his hands covering his ears. “I don’t deserve her. She’s too good.”
“She chose you.”
“Well then, she’s an idiot.”
“Hey! Quiet in there!”
At the guard’s reprimand Klaus flinched, drawing further in on himself.
“You know I’m right,” Ben continued, knowing that Klaus had no choice but to listen to him, unable to argue. “This isn’t the way to fix things.”
“What do you know,” Klaus muttered sullenly, the last thought that filled him before he slipped into a fitful sleep was [Y/N]’s face.

Confessions of a Broken Mind||Therapy Session
TW: Addiction, Substance Abuse, Death, Suicide, Lack of self-worth, Family Disownment, Medication, Language, Some smart-ass comments (it’s basically everything and the kitchen sink)
Ah therapy the one place where Danny felt like he could just BE and not be judged. His therapist, one Matthew Davis, had been in Danny's life for over a decade, the two had such a familiar relationship the older man could take simple cues from Danny and know what to discuss, what to drop and what to push. Today, like most days, he was dressed casual: a pair of relaxed black jeans, an Atlanta Falcon t-shirt, sneakers, glasses and as always a pen and notebook in his lap. While this clothing choice may have seemed unorthodox for other patient and doctor relationships, Danny and Matt had established by then clothing was not the high point of their meetings. Usually. "Did you wear that shirt just to piss me off?" Danny asked after a few minutes worth of silence.
A smile played on the other man's lips before a quiet chuckle left his mouth. "No, if I wanted to do that I would have worn an Eagles shirt. Or the Phillies. Or the Heat. Or the Penguins." He flashed Danny a charismatic smile, leaning back in the chair that faced the couch where Danny sat. Matthew had a Mel Gibson look-deep set piercing blue eyes, a mound of brown hair that tended to have a mind all it's own, a slim but firm upper-body, a clean shaven face that was pretty close to perfectly symmetrical. Danny rolled his eyes but couldn't hide his own smile as he looked at the man. There's roughly a minute or two of relaxation before the notebook is opened. "So, how are you?"
While this sentence alone may seem broad, Danny has the shorthand down. "Uh...life hasn't changed much since the last time I saw you. Sleep is still for shit, but it's been that way for so long I can't remember what REM sleep is. Everyone is doing as well as can be..." He let out a breath of air and shrugged. "Sorry, Martin Riggs I am not" he said and gave a tentative chuckle before he looked down at the carpet. "Was there something specific you wanted to ask me? Or something specific you wanted to know?" It had been one thing back when Danny had first fallen down the rabbit hole of addiction but now with the help and support system he was determined to stay clean. He had too much to lose.
Matt's eyes were scanning the notebook, the pen twirling in his fingers. This suited Danny just fine, it was one of many reasons he preferred being the last patient of the day and Matt was more than willing to accommodate, he was either the one patient for the day or the last one. Anything else put him on edge. But now they could be relaxed with most of the day behind them they could take their time and be as at ease as they could. "It's been nearly two months since you lost your father. How has that been?" Danny raised an eyebrow but waited a minute as he reached in his pockets, feeling the chips in his fingers, his own touchstone to the real world as the one he was in could often distort and contort the realities of life.
"My parents...Being raised by them was kind of like being raised by terminators, their actions were dictated by a gain and loss margin, everything they did was calculated and for a specific reason. If they had a checklist it went like this: meet, check, courtship, check, marriage, check, offspring, check, take over the world" he finished and laughed again, brushing some hair out of his eyes. "I can't recall the word love being used, not by my parents, or my grandparents, or anyone else really, it was always fall in line, follow the rules, etc etc." He held the chips still firmly in his pocket, looking down for a minute before he finally looked up again. "She didn't even look at me, not at the funeral, not at the will reading, not a glance, not a single acknowledgment, I mean, I'm not surprised given our history but it's unfathomable to me that someone could be so cold. And for that matter if you aren't raised to love, knowing what it is, how do you learn to love? How do you love, period?"
A silence passed for a few minutes before Matt looked up from the notebook. "You had love-your brothers, all your friendships. May have not seemed like a lot at the time but it was love in it's own form. In a perfect world, all kids would be born to parents that loved them unconditionally and they would come at a time when life was just right for their appearance. But as we know life is far from perfect so stories like you and worse are fairly, sadly common. As for how someone can love if they are not raised with it, well, you may have not been raised by caring parents but it didn't stop you from growing up into a person that cares, the circumstances that you are born into do not have to dictate your own life." He stopped again, his head tilted as he thought for a minute. "You managed at least four relationships, unless the internet lied to me so despite what you weren't raised with you manage to love, no thanks to your parents and that is all you. Tell me about it."
Danny blew out a sigh and nodded. "Well, aside from some juvenile crushes when I was a kid, nothing really serious back home. I came to Cali and was too busy to considered dating, not that that was a real possibility or anything. In this business if you don't look like Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise, good luck, you have to take whatever is given and fight tooth and nail for a role you really want. Girls too man, I wasn't like those other idiots running around with hundred dollar bills in my back pockets, throwing them at anything and everything, no, like the song says mo money, mo problems. Anyways, Odessa was my first serious everything, well, first everything really...Pathetic...Here I am all these years later still gone. It was your typical teen love at first and well...Then it wasn't. Parenthood is hard enough for adults but for teens that are far from ready? A whole other beast. It didn't matter what our relationship status was though we had the same goal and that was raising our son the best way we could. Uh...my first relationship after that came when Wyatt was about two or so, I was completely upfront about my past, never hid it but in the end she was uncomfortable that I was always going to be in my son and his mom's life so that ended after about five, six months." Danny stopped for a minute to catch his breath. "One-night stands were few and far between with me, between work, Wyatt, staying clean, I was busy, well, that and I didn't like the way I felt in the morning. My next relationship was about a year and a half, um, she didn't care that I had a kid and an ex, not the way my first ex did, um, it was a nice relationship overall but at some point we realized we were better as friends. Weird when that happens after sex but hey" he said and shrugged. "And then came the most serious one, it lasted for three and a half years. It wasn't perfect, of course, nothing is, but it was really special. I mean clearly it was, it's not like I propose to just anyone. But she ended it and that was that. And then Odessa and I fell back into our old ways, had Heather, Brock and well...stay tuned is all I can say for now."
Another lapse of silence, Matt wrote in the notebook, Danny stood and stretched, the drive alone had been long enough and then to resort back to sitting was a bit of a pain. Sitting back down, Danny faced the other man. The dance was nearly over, it was a similar one each time he came, it may have varied on and off depending on circumstances but mostly it followed a simple pattern. Once more Matt was carefully turning the words in his head before he spoke. "Hollywood is a hard business, for some, impossible, and yet, you keep on logging your hours and taking whatever jobs you can. Why?" Now it was Danny's turn to sit and think, turning his words before he answered.
"Like I already said and this shouldn't surprise you or anyone for that matter: Whorewood, excuse me, Hollywood, is for the beautiful ones, or the wealthy ones that can buy their way into their business or worse the ones who are only famous because mommy and daddy are famous." He scoffed and shook his head. "My whole life I have felt like an outsider, like I didn't belong anywhere. But when I discovered acting, it was like a door to a new world had opened and I wasn't the shy, awkward, and just plain stupid Danny. I was anybody I wanted to be other than me. And that was incredible. I love it, I live for acting so while it might not be the easiest career opportunity, because if it was, let's face it, everyone would do it. I'm an underdog and that's okay, it just means I have to try harder, work harder. It's also why I root for the underdog teams" he said and shrugged once.
Matt nodded once before speaking. "You are far from a loser, Danny. Addiction is a monster that has ravaged countless people, it's destroyed lives, families, claimed lives, the numbers are staggering. And yet for every person lost, there is always someone who survives and thrives. You are one of those people, Danny, everyday that you are clean and sober and staying on the right path proves just how wrong you are when you say such disparaging remarks about yourself. Everyone in the world is a little broken, not everyone shows it and not everyone admits it but no one is truly happy or sane or normal. And that's fine, it's called being human and the one thing that we as humans can do is be the best version of ourself we can be. If you can look at yourself in the mirror at night and be content with the face staring back, then keep up whatever you are doing, and if you don't like the face staring back, sit and think and change what you don't like. Your life, whether you know it or not, means a lot to people, it may not be a lot of people, but there are people in your life that love you, care about you and want the best for you. Keep fighting and staying alive for them."
Danny whistled. "Woah Nelly I'm not sure what I said that made you think you had to like talk me off a ledge but I'm fine, at least in that respect. I take my meds, see you, my sponsor is on speed dial, if I get myself into a bad situation, I get myself out of it. Believe me I know that people are dependent on me, it's one of many reasons I keep going. One day at a time, that's all I can do, just take life one day at a time. I'm not trying for much here, I just...Want to be happy, that's all. But I guess if happiness came easily you would be out of a job" he added which made them both chuckle. Standing, Danny once more stretched and dug his keys out. "Same time, same place?"
Matt nodded and finished writing out the script, handing it to Danny as he too stood. "I upped your dosage-you may be okay with not sleeping but I have an issue so let's try and fix that." Danny shrugged and put the paper in his pocket, facing him again. "And yes I an a Falcon's fan-and a Brave's fan, and a Hawk's fan but my personal favorite team, if I had to pick one-Atlantix oh yes my personal favorite team." His face is impossible to read before he breaks into a grin and laugh, Danny flipping him the bird but chuckling with him as he heads out into the afternoon.

Tomoe, The Eastern Tigress - Chapter Six
Chapter Six - An Unknown Danger
It was the first peaceful morning Ohu had seen for the last six months. The Ohu soldiers gathered together, panting and praising each other over a job well done. Cross and Ken threw themselves onto Ben, unable to hold back concerned tears.
“Oi, oi,” said the old male, slightly embarrassed at the thought of the other males seeing him being cried over. “I told you both I’m alright. If anything, you’ll probably squeeze what little life I have out of me.”
“I’m just so happy you’re safe,” Cross cooed. She licked her husband tenderly on the cheek. Ben grew warm under his fur. “You had me worried. I didn’t want to lose you...”
“Yeah, Dad,” Ken agreed. “Don’t scare us like that, okay?”
“Guooo...” Ben groaned, though he couldn’t help smiling. He’d been so blessed to have a loving family. Even if it was smaller now than it had been five years ago, the love remained the same. He leaned his head against Cross’ and then Ken’s, his own, small display of affection.
Meanwhile, Tomoe and Jiyū found each other. They pressed their heads together, Jiyū running her tongue along her daughter’s forehead.
“We did it, Mom...” Tomoe said with a gentle smile. “We don’t have to live in that stupid, tiny den ever again.”
“I know, dear,” Jiyū chuckled, looking at the younger bitch with tender eyes. “I know, and I’m so proud of you. I shouldn’t have kept us away for so long, but I was just so afraid that I’d lose you...”
“I know, Mom. I understand. I guess it’s just a mom’s job to worry, huh?” Both females laughed together.
“I suppose so,” she chirped. “Maybe I’m just getting soft these days.”
“No way. The way you almost kicked that Jerome guy’s ass?”
“I...may have lost my cool there, hehe.”
While that was going on, Smith gathered together with Mel, Weed, and GB. They’d all made it through the battle, unscathed. Mel’s tail was wagging rapidly. His first battle as an Ohu soldier, and he was still standing!
“You all did great,” said the Spaniel proudly. He nodded towards GB. “Even you, GB. I honestly expected you to turn and run away at some point.”
“Oi...!” GB replied, slightly offended. “Give me some credit.” Smith laughed, not in a mocking way, but in a soft, almost father-like fashion. GB felt the corner of his maw tug into a slight smile.
“We saved Paradise,” whispered Weed, more to himself than anyone else. “If only Father were here, he’d be so proud of me...”
“I’m sure he would be,” Smith agreed. “And I have a feeling it won’t be long before he returns to us.”
“Really?”
“Mmm. Just hold tight, Weed. You’ll meet Gin soon enough.”
Jerome sat alone, far from everyone else. He stared at the ground, reflecting on the past battle. His allies were dead, and he should’ve joined them. However, Kaibutsu was dead. There was no need for him to die anymore, and yet...the Shepherd felt that he failed. He lied down, his head buried in his paws.
A few minutes later, a helicopter appeared in the sky. The swift movement of its rotary blades caused a gust of wind that all the dogs felt. Everyone looked up, seeing the aircraft hovering over Gajou.
“What do these guys want...?” Kagetora snorted. “Better not be here to cause anymore trouble.”
“They could be from that P4 place,” said Harutora. “They might be here to see if Kaibutsu’s dead.”
“Not that they helped any...” Buru scoffed.
Inside the helicopter were two men, the pilot and a supervisor from the P4 lab. Since Kaibutsu’s break-out, the supervisor had been responsible for keeping track of the assassin dogs and their mission, as well as keeping Kaibutsu’s existence quiet from the majority of the public. He looked out of the window, seeing the gathered dogs.
“Some of them are dead,” the pilot noticed.
“Mmm,” replied the supervisor grimly. “Our lab dogs...Robert, Rocca, Hoiler...I see Jerome, too...” He looked closer. Jerome hadn’t looked up from his lying position, too defeated to bother facing the men he’d failed. The supervisor couldn’t tell if he was injured, but there was no way he was going down and facing a bunch of wild dogs to find out. “Their job’s over...but where’s Kaibutsu...?”
The helicopter moved towards the crevice behind Gajou. Soon, both men could see the lifeless body of Kaibutsu. It seemed he’d finally bled out, as the water had returned to its natural color.
“So they’ve defeated him,” murmured the supervisor. He sighed, both relieved and tired. “Good...This whole “man-eating beast” ordeal is over and done with. Let’s just hope we never make the same, stupid mistake again. Take me back to the laboratory. I need to let everyone know.”
“Yes, sir.”
As quickly as the helicopter appeared, it was off. Only now did Jerome bother to look up. He watched as it grew smaller and smaller, before, finally, it was gone. He sighed. Weed took notice of him from afar, and padded closer to the Shepherd.
“Jerome?” he began. “Were those your humans?”
“Yes,” Jerome replied. “They’ll return to take Kaibutsu’s body away, but after that...you dogs’ll have your Paradise to yourselves.”
“And what about you?” Weed tilted his head.
“I...don’t know. I was supposed to give my life to fighting Kaibutsu, and yet, I survived. You Ohu dogs finished him off before I could. Now that he’s dead, I have no purpose.”
“Don’t say that...!” Weed barked in alarm. “It’s better for you to be alive than to waste your life! You survived for a reason...!” Jerome looked up at the young male. His eyes radiated with such passion...
“Weed...” murmured the Shepherd, a tear streaming down his face. He’d had a feeling about this puppy ever since he first laid eyes on him. Perhaps...perhaps this was where he was meant to be now...aiding the future leader of Ohu...
Once things had settled down, burial was had for those who’d fallen during the final battle. Ken led the way to where the substitutes had been laid to rest, and new graves were dug for Jerome’s allies, and the two Ohu soldiers. Everyone sat together, heads bowed in honor of the brave sacrifices. Ben took his place before the rest of the group, speaking loud and clear.
“Soldiers,” he started. “Dogs of Ohu and Paradise. It’s been a long, hard six months. Never have we lost so many of our own since the battle against Akakabuto. And yet, despite all our hardship, here we are now. Today will mark a new age of peace. Paradise will be reopened to all dogs seeking a place to call home. The Ohu Army will reach its great numbers again. I...remember something that the first Boss of Ohu, Riki, said to Gin just before he died.”
Weed perked at this.
““Don’t cry because I’m dying,” he said...” Tears were flowing freely from Ben’s eyes. In fact, many of the Ohu Veterans were weeping harder than they had been before. Tomoe rested a comforting paw on her mother’s shoulder. ““Celebrate because you’ve won!” That's what we have to do now, all of you. Howl, not out of sadness, but victory!”
HOOOOOWL!
Ben threw back his head, taking the lead in the victory howl. One by one, the others joined in, filling the forest with a song of triumph. It reached out for miles; anyone who heard it could tell that Kaibutsu’s reign of terror had ended. As Tomoe howled, for a moment, she wondered if her father could hear her, wherever he was. Would he finally come home and see the strong woman she’d become? Maybe. Tomoe didn’t know for sure. All she could do was hope.
Far from Ohu, at the base of the Southern Alps, a dog named Hook had gotten himself into serious trouble. It was days ago that he’d said goodbye to Weed, Mel, GB and Smith. Traveling on his own, free from the burden of his past, the dog unknowingly had crossed the territory of a dog named Nero. Before he knew what hit him, the Labrador mix had been surrounded by the small pack. While Nero stood back, his three followers pinned Hook down, biting into him. Hook flailed out, trying to free himself from his captors.
“Call off your grunts and fight me yourself, Nero...!” Hook challenged. “Or are you really as cruel as the rumors say you are!?”
“Shut the fuck up!” Nero snapped, his fangs bared. “It’s your own fault for intruding. I have every right to treat you however I wish. Now, you three, hurry and beat that idiot to death!”
“What’s going on here?” a low, baritone voice demanded. Nero looked up, spotting three dogs standing on top of the concrete wall nearby: An akita Inu with a silver, striped pelt and scars on his forehead, a German Shepherd, and a white Kishu Inu with a scarred neck. “Why are you all ganging up on that male?”
“Tch.” Nero’s mismatched eyes narrowed. “I’m not answering to a bunch of trespassers. Don’t you all know who I am?”
“You wouldn’t have anything to do with this Hougen guy we’ve been hearing about, eh, brat?” the Shepherd jeered.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” the Husky spat. He clicked his tongue, and his trio of followers stood at attention. “Kill those three! They’ve pissed me off!”
Swiftly obeying their leader’s command, the three dogs ran up the slanted wall, prepared to bite and kill. Rolling his eyes, the Shepherd wasted no time spinning around, kicking back with his hind leg and sending one of the males flying. The Akita gripped the second male’s neck, swinging him around and sending him back down where he came. Meanwhile, the Kishu seemed to vanish before the third dog could bite down on him.
“Uh!?” the grunt wondered, before the Kishu landed on him, flattening him out on the ground with his paws. Down below, Hook stood up, staring at the Akita in wonder.
“Weed...?” he whispered to himself. “No, no...he’s much too big to be Weed...it’s only been a day or two since I last saw him...”
“Are you done wasting our time, asshole?” asked the Shepherd, yawning.
“I’ll tear you all down,” Nero threatened. “One by one!” His sights were set on the Shepherd, but he never got close enough to reach him. The Akita darted forward, catching the Husky by the neck and launching them both into the air with a kick from his powerful hindlegs. Nero cried in terror as the ground grew further and further away. Finally, gravity took hold, and both dogs fell back towards the earth. The Akita pushed Nero in front of him, forcing him to take the impact.
CRACK!
Nero’s skull hit the ground first, splintering into pieces. The Husky was dead before he even knew what happened. The Akita dropped Nero’s corpse, resting a paw on him as he gave the male’s grunts the side eye. The three males immediately fell down onto their stomachs, whimpering submissively.
“No...!” one of them sobbed. “Please! Don’t kill us! W-We were just following orders! He’d kill us if we didn’t...!”
“Don’t blame him for the actions you chose,” the Shepherd snapped from afar. “Now beat it, or you’ll be feeling my fangs next!”
The three males obeyed, scrambling to their paws and leaving the scene without any other delay. The Kishu and Shepherd joined their comrade, who approached the shivering Hook.
“Don’t be afraid,” said the Kishu. “We’re not going to attack you. Are you hurt?”
“No, sir,” Hook replied, shaking his head quickly. “You all look familiar...”
“We’re the Boss Dogs of Ohu, son,” the Shepherd barked. Hook’s mouth fell open in shock.
“Ahh...!” he exclaimed. “I see now! You’re Gin, John and Akame!”
“That’s right,” Gin affirmed. Hook bowed his head immediately.
“Sir, I owe a life debt to Ohu ever since your son helped me a few days ago.”
“Uh...?” Gin was taken back. His son? John looked at him, a wide grin on his face.
“D’you hear that, Gin?” he said cheerfully. “Ol’ Sakura’s given birth. And a son, too, heh. Wonder how he’s gettin’ along with my Tomoe?”
“I just wish I hadn’t missed the birth...” was Gin’s solemn response. “I hope the others were able to keep her comfortable.”
“I wouldn’t worry,” Akame piped up. “Everyone in Ohu looks out for each other. I’m sure things are fine.”
“Er...” Hook shuffled his paws awkwardly, recalling the rumors he’d heard not long ago. “You’re all headed to Futago Pass...right?”
“Right.” Gin nodded. “That’s where the Dog Paradise is.”
“I...heard there was a terrible incident there a few months ago. A lot of dogs ended up dead.”
“What!?” the trio spoke at once. Gin felt the blood leave his face, and he instantly began feeling light-headed. What happened!? His friends were dead!? Were Sakura and his son alright!? The questions buzzed around in his head like a nest of hornets. Noticing his distress, Akame leaned closer to the Akita and allowed him to rest on his shoulder.
“We won’t know what’s happened for sure until we get back...” the Kishu attempted to remain calm and rational despite the situation.
“What are we still standing here for!?” John began heading north. “If anything’s happened to Jiyū and Tomoe, I’ll...!” He trailed off, though the glistening of his eyes revealed the tears of fear that were threatening to form.
“Y-Yes...” Gin agreed. “It’s best we move on. Hook, thank you for the information. Please be careful out here.”
“Of course, Boss...” Hook bowed his head again. “Thank you...!”
The trio were on their way after that. Akame had to pick up his pace in order to keep from being left behind by the two fathers. Hook watched them leave quietly. The first snowflakes of winter danced around him, settling onto the ground.
Weed... His thoughts returned to the young puppy. Your father’s coming. I just hope everything in Futago Pass is back to normal. I didn’t mean to worry anyone...
Not far from where Hook stood, high up in Japan’s Southern Alps, a large gathering of dogs stood before a small, abandoned hut. The sliding door was partially ajar, allowing whoever was inside to see and hear what was going on while he remained in the shadows. At the front of the assembly were Nero’s lackeys, all three of them bowing as they explained what happened to them.
“Hmph...” a rough voice scoffed from inside the hut. “I’m not surprised that idiot Nero died. He was a weakling, anyway. But to think he’d be taken down by an overrated piece of shit like Gin? Ha!”
“They embarrassed us, Lord Hougen...!” one of the trio whined. “I even heard one of them, John, asking about you. They must’ve been the dogs interfering with our pack takeovers, sir!”
“I see.” There was a sharp creaking sound as the leader of the dogs, Hougen, stood up. He appeared at the doorway of the hut, a hulking, harlequin-patterned Great Dane. “And did you kill them?”
“...Sir?” a grunt barked.
“The dogs from Ohu,” Hougen explained himself calmly. “Did you kill them on the spot? Can’t have them ruining my plans, now can we?” The three dogs remained silent, but Hougen already knew the answer. Without another word, Hougen dove at one of the three males, a paw slamming down on his head and fangs pressed into his throat.
“Kill those other two!” Hougen ordered, ignoring the shrill begs of the unfortunate trio. He snapped his head back, tearing out his victim’s throat. The other two dogs were pounced on by Hougen’s followers, quickly being torn to pieces. Hougen lifted his head, licking the blood from his jowls. “Worthless idiots. Could’ve saved me the trouble of killing those Ohu fools myself. Hmph. You three!”
Three Borzoi dogs, who’d been watching the scene with terror, straightened up as Hougen glared at them.
“Your breed’s fast, right?” The Dane continued. “Go find Gin and his sidekicks!”
The Borzois obeyed, taking off down the mountain trail with a cry of compliance. Hougen ascended the steps of his hut, taking a seat at the top. Looking down, his yellow eyes blazing with the desire to conquer, he gave his order:
“Gather the troops together! By sunrise tomorrow, I’ll make the famous Shooting Star into my personal bitch! Gyahahahaha!”
Gin, John, and Akame had been traveling for hours, yet the peaks of the Southern mountains still loomed over them. It was night now, and the two or three snowflakes had transformed into a blizzard. Neither Gin nor John were willing to stop, though, not until they’d made it back. Akame traveled behind them at a slower pace. It was better to preserve energy rather than wasting it fighting the elements, though his advice was lost to the emotions of a pair of concerned fathers.
Passing through a neighborhood, the crunching of paws in snow had alerted a sleeping Pet Dog. The female Akita mix sat up in her doghouse, looking around for the source of the noise. Through heavy snowfall, she could make out the three travelers not too far away. She took notice of Gin’s pelt.
“That tora-ge fur...!” she gasped, before stepping outside and barking after the males. “Excuse me...!” All three of them stopped, but John was particularly antsy. He pawed at the ground impatiently.
“Can we help you?” asked Akame.
“You...wouldn’t happen to be Gin, Boss Dog of Ohu, right...?” the bitch responded timidly.
“I am,” Gin called over the gale. “Did you need something? We’re in a bit of a hurry, miss...?”
“Reika.” The bitch bowed her head. “My father was a soldier of Ohu. He fought against Akakabuto. He didn’t survive, but my mother told me the story after I was born. I never imagined I’d meet veterans like yourselves...!”
“That’s all fine and all,” John began, continuing to shift about in the snow. “But did you need something?”
“Calm down, John,” Akame insisted. “Show the lady some respect.”
“Have you traveled very far? I can bring you food and shelter.” Reika’s tail wagged politely as she spoke.
“That’s very kind of you, Reika.” Gin flashed the younger bitch a grateful smile. “But--”
“Gin, you and John have been running for hours,” the Kishu interjected. “You’re going to have to stop eventually. If you both rest now, we can get a day’s journey out of the way tomorrow.” John and Gin were both quiet. John still looked hesitant and frustrated, but Gin knew that Akame was right.
“You’re right,” the Akita admitted. He turned to John. “Come on, John. Just for tonight.”
The Shepherd groaned as Gin and Akame followed after Reika. With one last glance towards the north, he reluctantly joined his comrades. It was a short walk to the edge of the neighborhood. An abandoned shed appeared through the snow, one big enough for a small pack to sleep in, if they wanted to. Unable to control themselves, the three males all let out a sigh of content. They’d take a shed over sleeping out in the wind and rain any day.
Reika stepped away after allowing the males to settle in, returning to her home and sneaking in through the back. She got one of the extra bags of dog food and brought it out. Surely, her master wouldn’t mind; it was for a good cause. As Reika began the trip back to the shed, however, a dog appeared in front of her. She dropped the dog food, startled.
“Who are you!?” Reika tried her best to sound firm and confident, but there was a tremble to her voice that revealed her fear. The dog, a Borzoi, flashed what was obviously meant to be a charming smile. Reika didn’t feel any less terrified.
“My name is Rocket,” the Borzoi stated. Although his eyes were definitely focused on her, the large irises and tiny pupils gave them a sort-of dazed look that made Reika very uncomfortable. “I’ve come from the base of Hougen, leader of the Southern Alps. I’m sure you’ve heard of him. Anyway, I’ve heard that a tora-ge Akita and his right hands were in the area. Have you seen them?”
“No, I...” Reika swallowed, tearing her eyes away from Rocket’s. “I haven’t. I’m sorry.”
“I see.” The Borzoi’s eyes didn’t even blink. “Sorry to bother you, then. Please, carry on.”
Nodding, Reika did her best to walk away without making herself seem even more suspicious. She could feel Rocket’s eyes burning into the back of her head, but she forced herself to remain calm until she was certain that she was out of the Borzoi’s line of sight. She broke into a run, heading back towards the shed, her heart pounding. Unfortunately for her, she hadn’t taken into account the speed and stealth of a spy. Rocket, joined by his two brothers, watched Reika from the shadows, seeing her path to the shed. Rocket sneered.
“Just as I thought.” he barked. He turned to his brothers. “Missile, Jet, you stay here and keep watch. I’ll report back to Hougen.
“Nero’s little goons ratted us out,” John snapped after hearing of the mysterious Borzoi. “I should’ve ripped their throats out.”
“We already know that Hougen plans to assemble an army and take on Ohu,” Akame pointed out. “He was bound to find out about our investigation eventually. As long as we lay low, we can make it out of this area and back to Ohu. Then, we can put together a plan with the rest of the army.”
“If there’s even an army left...” John stood up, pacing and lashing his tail. He growled bitterly as dread clung to his heart. Reika sat, awkwardly watching the situation. She couldn’t help but blame herself. Gin, who’d been chewing on some kibble, decided to speak up.
“Look, let’s just...sleep on it, for now.” The brindle male brought up a paw, rubbing at his tired face. He then looked at Reika. “Reika, we’re incredibly grateful for your help tonight, but for your safety, you should return home while you can. The last thing we want is for you to be accused of helping Hougen’s enemies.”
“I don’t mind being accused,” the bitch replied, her voice soft, yet firm. “I’ve heard what kind of male Hougen is. I don’t intend to be loyal to him.”
“Still,” Gin said. “I don’t want to take any risks on your behalf. Perhaps, if you can, you could join the Paradise in the future. For now, though...”
“Ah...I understand, Boss.” The disappointment was rich in Reika’s voice, but she wouldn’t disobey. She stood, giving one final bow of her head before she headed back out into the snow.
“Farewell...! I’ll be praying for all of you!”

Journey (Legolas) part three
Warnings:Spoilers?, (if you haven’t watched LOTR), death but I think thats is
[One] [Two] [Three]
Following Gandalf you arrived at a set of stairs, without hesitation you all quickly descended stopping when the stairs did. The gap was big but should be okay to jump, Legolas jumped first, making it look easy, Gandalf was next,
“Y/N!” legolas called to you, you weren’t looking forward to the jump you were far too clumsy, but you didn’t think about it, taking the leap with your eyes closed, and you didn’t open them until you felt Legolas catch you,. In haste you moved away to allow Boromir to jump, holding the brothers. Aragorn then threw Sam over. Gimli took the leap himself, only to be caught by Legolas who had to grab his beard. As Aragorn and Frodo went to take the plung, the stairs beneath them began to crumble, they barely got out the way. The orcs fired arrows at you all, only making the situation more difficult. Eventually, Aragorn grabbed hold of Frodo and started leaning, using their weight to bring forward the crumbling stairs, allowing them to jump. Now that everyone was safely on the other side, you all continued down the path and across a bridge. The Balrog, was hot on your heals. When you reached the otherside you turned around, checking on the others, freezing when you saw Gandalf face to face with the Balrog, was he really going to try and fight?. You watched as he called out to the Balrog but the beast didn’t care walking towards the wizard. Your heartbeat hard in your chest. Gandalf lifted his staff up and slammed it down on the bridge causing it to crumble under the creature. The Balrog fell into the pit, he did it. Gandalf did it. You felt a wave of relief, but it didn’t last long, the Balrog’s whip had wrapped around Gandalf’s leg, dragging him down too he was able to grab hold of the ledge, keeping himself there. You tried to run to him, but Legolas stopped you.
“Please” you begged.
“Fly you fools!” Gandalf ordered before letting go and falling. You looked up to Legolas, meeting his eyes, then back to the place were Gandalf was, there was nothing you could do, you allowed Legola to drag you onwards.
It wasn’t until you had reached the fresh air did you stop. Standing frozen tears traveled down your cheeks, the old wizard had practically raised you, he was your family and now he was gone. It was like you were in a trance, until a hand on your shoulder brought you back. You turned to see Legolas standing there looking sober.
“We need to move” he said softly, You nodded not really taking in what he had said. You looked around the others were back on their feet, ready to move on. You followed them in a daze.
Finally reaching a forest.
“Stay close, young Hobbits, they say that a great sorceress lives in these woods, an elf-witch of terrible power. All who look upon her fall under her spell and you are never seen again” Gimli whispered. You knew of who he spoke. Lady Galadriel, Gandalf and her were friends, though you had never actually met her, you had heard stories of her and they were pretty much all good.
You wanted to say something but didn’t really have the energy to.
“Well, here is one dwarf she won’t ensare so easily I have the eyes of a hawk and the ears of a fox” Gimli continued. Suddenly there were arrows pointed at you.
“You were saying” you chuckled putting your hands up
A tall, golden-haired elf appeared from the back,
“The dwarf breathes so loud, we could have shot him in the dark” he spoke. This elf lead you all to platforms, where you could talk,
He greeted Legolas, knowing who he was, then turned to Aragorn, it seemed they knew each other. His name was Haldir.
“So much for the legendary courtesy of the elves, speak words we can also understand” Gimli interupted.
“We have not had Dealings with the dwarves since the dark days” Haldir spoke.
“And you know what this dwarf says to that?, ishkhaqwi ai durugnul” Gimli replied, you didn’t know exactly what was said, but you knew for certain it was an insult. Haldir ignore it, and turned to Frodo.
“You bring great evil with you,” he said then turned to Aragorn
“You can go no further”
Just like that. Aragorn pulled Haldir aside, pleading your case and eventually Haldir agrees. Leading you to Cara’s Galadhon, the city was beautiful, more so than Riverdell. For a moment your sadness washed away. Haldir continued to lead you all up to meet Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn. The two descended the stairs looked majestic. Lord Celeborn started talking, telling you that the enemy knew you were there. ‘Not good’
“Nine there are here, yet ten there were, set out from Rivendell. Tell, where is Gandalf? For I much desire to speak with him, I can no longer see him from afar” he asked, you felt sick the sadness that had momentarily disappeared came back hard.
“Gandalf the grey did not pass the borders of his land. He has fallen into shadow” Lady Galadriel said. You couldn’t bring yourself to look up anymore,
“He was taken by both shadow and flame, A Balrog of Morgoth, for we went needlessly into the net of Moria” Legolas replied, he took a quick glance at you beside him.
“Needless were none of the deeds of Gandalf in life, we do not yet know his whole purpose” Lady Galadriel continued.
“What now, becomes of this fellowship?, without Gandalf, hope is lost” Lord Celeborn
“The quest stands upon the edge of a knife, stray but a little and it will fail to ruin of all” Lady Galadriel clarified. Your head shot up, ‘hope was not lost’ Lady Galadriel met your eyes
“Yet hope remains, while the company is true” she continued, smiling.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled, go now and rest for you are weary with sorry and much toil. Tonight you will sleep in peace”
With that, elves lead you all away, back down to a place that you could camp safely for the night. You had just set up your sleeping bag when a song filled the air. They were singing for Gandalf. The song was too much, you decided to go for a walk, away from everyone. Further away from the singing. Once you felt it was safe enough away from everyone, you let yourself cry. Things were playing in your mind, of course, you knew this quest would be dangerous, but it still came as a shock and now all you could think about was what if you were to lose someone else, you already thought you had lost Frodo more than once, what if you were to lose Merry, Pippin. Legolas, when his name crossed your mind you felt a fear that you had never thought you could feel. You couldn’t bear the thought of losing him. More tears fell, you were sobbing into your hands.
“Y/N?” A voice called out to you. It was Legolas, you dared not look at him, keeping your face in your hands. Legolas placed his hand on your shoulder, squeezing slightly. He wasn’t used to seeing someone cry not like this. He didn’t know what to do to help, all he knew was he hated seeing you like this.
“Hush now my friend, don’t cry” he spoke softly in his native tongue. When you didn’t reply, Legolas walked in front of you and gently pulled your hands away, you didn’t have the energy to fight he kept hold of your hands. Keeping your eyes on the ground, you stood there sobbing. Legolas thought a moment. He tried to think back to watching humans in sad times, but he had no experience in it. He did know what humans liked hugs, so he decided to try it. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you tightly to his chest, this was a pretty new experience for him, he started doubting the idea, until you returned the hug. Thanks to Legolas comforting you, the tears stopped.
“I am sorry you had to see me in this state” you chuckled half-heartedly.
“Ha's okaui mui mel” Legolas replied. When he felt you freeze against him, he finally realised what he had said. ‘Mui Mel’ if you weren’t mistaken it meant ‘My Love’ if that was so, he probably meant it as a friend. Maybe it was elven custom to say it to a friend?. You decided to question it though.
“Mui Mel?” you whispered. Pulling away looking at him with confidence you had never felt before. Legolas pulled away completely, taking a few steps back. You didn’t think it was possible for an elf to blush and look so awkward. You waited for him to speak, feeling less and less confidence. Even if by chance he did actually love you in any way it wouldn’t happen, it couldn’t. After a moment Legolas resolved himself.
“Yes, I said my love” he repeated, in English for you, “Because it is true” he stumbled over his words a little.
“You love me?” you asked, skeptically making sure.
“Yes,” Legolas replied, you stared at him for a moment,
“Im Mel cin” you whispered praying you had said it right. Legolas expression brightened, then looked somber again.
“I did say that right, right?” you asked suddenly, this earned you a chuckle,
“Yes” he replied. He then looked like he was thinking. He was, he was thinking about the fact that you are human and he is an elf, his father's thoughts, but then he looked up to you, your bright eyes. Legolas cautiously walked towards you. His hand grazed over your cheek, barely touching you, but when you didn’t move his confidence grew, he gently pressed his lips to yours, it was like a butterfly touching you, before pulling away. He was still gaging your reactions, it wasn’t enough for you though, so you kissed him back. The kiss quickly turned passionate, you had never experienced anything like it before. When he pulled away all you felt was bliss for a moment.
“My heart” Legolas whispered in his native tongue, it sounded so much better to you in elven, you could listen to it all day.

Shall we Date? Wizardess Heart Part 15 - Mel Glover Route
How rude of Mel to just steal her apple and eat it!! I’d be so angry! Well, what a great first day for the heroine; she gets lost in the forest because she heard the voice of the tree, meets Mel, gets scolded by Leslie and then Sigurd comes to pick her up with Smokey, his flying magical beast! Now she doesn’t even need to walk back lmao.
Wow, what an honour for the heroine to be his buddy. Mel is so amazing to author textbooks, travel the world and be so knowledgeable about magical trees and plants etc. Lmao at their awkward interactions. Kate looks cool! Legit can’t believe the heroine is older than Mel, he looks so much older lmao. Loll at Mel’s eyes sparkling when he started thinking that the reason they lit up as buddies was to balance her childishness with his maturity haha and other theories. Awww his first impression of her was cute and interesting! I’m so surprised hahaha. Omg, it was so unexpected when Mel actually reacted with emotion and kindness when she said that he should sleep better otherwise his body will always be tired, and that she cares about him because they’re buddies, then he thanked her saying it was nice that someone was looking out for him! That’s actually really cute! I guess he’s always used to being alone so this made him realise that the feeling of someone caring about you is pretty nice.
Omg, honestly didn’t expect him to kiss her already lol. And to be when they were hiding under the podium too lol, so random. Not sure whether to feel happy or insulted that he kissed her because he felt that her heart beating really fast had influenced his heart to be the same, and that made him feel like kissing her lol. That’s wonderful, Mel🤨 It’s kinda funny how mature Mel can be but also how childish he can be at other times. It was nice of Mel to personally craft a new wand for the heroine since her one broke. I’m surprised the heroine so willingly gave the wand back to the magical tree and restore it when the wand was given to her by her parents. Guess it’s better to thank the wand and let it be useful to the tree than to keep it as just a memento.
Not sure why Mel doesn’t want to be her buddy anymore but he made her cry! That’s no good, Mel! Amelia is like the best friend ever btw. She lets the heroine cry her heart out, take her around the city to cheer her up, give advice and tell her that giving up so fast on Mel isn’t something she’d do and during all this, she somehow found the address of Mel’s master so the heroine could go visit and see what’s going on!? Dude, where can you get a great friend like this? She’s logical and understanding, I love her. I was just about to call Mel childish for running away after seeing the heroine, and then I remembered that he’s younger than her lol. But yeah, it was really cool and funny when she used the magic that he taught her to restrict his movements for a moment so she could catch up to him, she’s smart and capable haha! Only when she’s chasing boyfriends hahaha.
I always find it so adorable when a guy holds the girl’s hand and puts it in his pocket to keep their hands warm. Like, I’m not sure how big those pockets they have are since my clothes barely have any pockets, nevertheless, it’s so sweet and cute. Mel’s words can be blunt and hurt the heroine’s feelings but I think his self awareness towards this and apologising for it is very considerate. I’m glad he finally realised that the feelings he has towards the heroine is love. Took him a while but it was cute how their relationship progressed so I’m happy. It’s so cute how Mel says he’s a kid only when it’s convenient to him hahaha. I always forget that he’s younger though considering how mature he is most of the time. It was so adorable when they both didn’t want to leave each other, omggg. So corny but cute lmao.
For this season/arc, it’s a hard choice but I think I’ll have to choose Sigurd for the best route this time. Mel is a really close second though! And Leslie is a far off third lmao. Honestly, I think in terms of the story and progression, Sigurd’s route wins hands down, but in terms of romance, Mel’s was much cuter, sweeter and it progressed at a good pace. As for Leslie’s route, it just lacked in both areas and I don’t like Chica hahaha. Mel’s right though, they’ve kissed already and they’ll eventually be doing things that are even more embarrassing than him piggy backing her, so really she should just let him carry her since her ankle is like that loll. He’s so honest with his feelings and thoughts after he confessed lolll, the heroine is going to die from embarrassment🤣
I’m not sure why Mel is hiding things but I really wonder whether shooting an arrow with the Bow will really cure the magical tree that’s wilting? Kate seems kindaaa suspicious. And she is! She’s a bit frightening tbh… Was she jealous of Mel all this time? The preview for the next chapter was kinda sad though, Randy said Kate seemed like an evil person whereas Azusa said that from his perspective, she just seemed like someone overwhelmed with sadness, it made me think of Azusa himself and I guess he can really relate to that. I guess Mel wanted to protect Kate and bring her back to their side but it didn’t work.. I wonder why Kate is doing all this since she has the power to go through parallel worlds transcending time? You can see why she doesn’t like the heroine since she’s been thwarting her plans as the Sol Maiden in the different worlds aside from this one. So, the heroine getting together with Mel brings the world to an end? (Since Kate is successful this time around, hahaha)
I find it saddening that Kate is really doing all this because she feels so inferior to Mel since he can do anything, is super happy and has everything in life, whereas ever since she was abandoned as a child, she never had anything that was truly hers until she found out she had the power to transcend time, so now she wants to destroy the world and make herself the only living person so she can finally be special. It’s a terrible way to think about things especially if she succeeds, she’ll realise she’s not special at all because people are only special when they can be compared with someone normal. If she’s the only one alive, no one will recognise that she’s special anyway, so what’s the point?
I like that the summon was successful and that there’s more trouble to come but I honestly find Kate a weak villain especially since she was convinced so easily when she was so intent on destroying the world… It was cool to see the heroine’s clothes transform LOL, Sailor Moon moments hahaha, well gotta look pretty when you save the world from darkness I guess? Omggg when the heroine saved the world and all her friends and their familiars were thanking her, Taffy was sooo cuteeee when he jumped at her and clung to her saying he loves her omgg, I want Taffyyy! It was nice to see the heroine get to enjoy the festival this time around with Luca and everyone, sounds like fun~ She also delivered her part as the Sol Maiden well without any mistakes! The only sad thing was that Mel wasn’t there to share all this with her :( Personally, like the headmaster, considering the situation, there should be no reason for his licence as a magical tree doctor to be revoked since he did it to save the world, I don’t think anyone has the right to judge him for that!
Glad everything turned out well with Mel just being reprimanded and Kate being taken by the ministry, but with their master there to watch over her, so I guess now she can reflect but also get what she wanted most, which was the care of the master. Lmao when the heroine asked what Mel would do if she failed the academy judgment exam and he said he’d laugh hahahaah. He’s right though, regardless of whether she passes or not, that doesn’t change the fact that he loves her. I always forget that the story spans across only 13 days, so really, they met, fell in love, confessed, saved the world and then Mel proposed to her?! A lot of things really happened.. You could give me 13 years and I still wouldn’t be able to do those lmao.
I never considered the heroine becoming a magical tree doctor tbh since just because she can talk to them and cast the protection spell doesn’t mean she can become one too lol, but I guess considering how clingy both Mel and the heroine are with each other in this route, working in the same profession, travelling together and being together all the time would suit them. I love the engagement ring Mel made, it’s made with wood from the magical tree and it has a snow apple on it lmao. I’ll forever remember Mel eating her apple🤣 I felt it ended so nicely with Mel being able to fulfill his dream of attending school and it’s alongside the heroine~ Sweet!
Overall, I quite enjoyed Mel’s route, I guess it really helps to pick up on all the romance that Sigurd’s route lacked, but it was kinda to the point that the whole story was basically romance with a bit of plot hahaha. Well, it was good to finally see Mel’s perspective and how this event was related to Mel, but I think it was rather undermining and Kate was a meh kinda villain since her reasons and determination was rather flimsy. Anyway, if you want some more cute romance, then this is the one XD Overall though, I liked Sigurd’s route the most because I felt the heroine grew the most in that route and really became a strong independent woman that Sigurd couldn’t help but fall for eventually haha. Then I’d pick Mel since he’s sweet and I felt that he and the heroine grew together nicely in this route, where they learnt to rely and believe in each other and not just love each other I guess haha. Last is Leslie is because his route was really bland, I personally do like Leslie but his route just felt like nothing happened haha.

AUTHORS NOTE: i want to first apologize how late this imagine is. AND to warn everyone this isnt proof read. I tried but i couldt read it well on my phone lol. This is my first desendants imagine it was requested by @princess-of-the-fandoms she requested this ☆~ okay ... so i had an idea of like the reader was dating ben but be choose mal over them. So they somehowg get onto the isle and they join Umas crew. So when the VK (villian kids) and ben go try to get Mal back. They see the reader ans they re dating Harry. Maybe you can choose the ending? ~☆ So i tried hard to write this. I seen both movies loved them but of course couldnt remember any bit of the movies while i wrote lol. Hopefully you enjoy. Sorry if it seems choppy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It happened unexpectedly. The isle kids, villian kids. The trouble makers. Mostly you call them the isle kids. They arrived to the prep boarding school due to the new kings first rule as King.. Saying they deserved a chance. Most people call him your highness or majesty you simply call him Ben. Or beast Jr. You got away with it since he was in love with you. Likewise you loved him. Which made him being your boyfriend the happiest thing in your life. You and Ben have been dating for six months. Dating Ben, you werr on the cheer squad, miss popular. That all changed when the infamous villain kids came to town. You welcomed them with open arms (mostly becuase ben forced you too) to your surprise. You became instant friends with Evie , Jay and Carlos.. Mal was a different story you always felt off around her. Probably because her mom sent your aunt into a slumber. (Your uncle married Aurora making you a princess) you did try to forget the fact her mom was a magical she- devil. Ben tried convincing you it was because of family history and Mal was a good person. You didnt believr that for A second. But you stayed friendly and kind. Jay was your greatest friend out of the isle kids. So when Ben announced he was breaking up with you (infront of the entire school) too date Mal you were devastated. Staying in your room crying eating chocolate and watching horror movies for days. Till Jay came bursting in one day. He tried to get your mind and heart off ben. It was Jay who told you about the love spell Mal put on Ben. You figured afterwards he would go back to you but. He choose Mel over you. Jay helped a lot. It was Jay who helped you run away. Your family was furious you lost the crown prince too a villain kid. Nothing was the same. You weren’t the same happy go lucky girl you were before. So Jay helped you go too the Isle. It wasn’t long until Uma took you under her wing and soon enough you met Harry and completely forgot about boring. Stupid Ben. MaL was hated on the Isle. Which made it easier for you to blend in. Several months went by you were at Uma’s mom place arms wrapped around Harry as you kissed his cheek. He smiled brightly. He was caressing your arm as Uma snapped “get a room!” you chuckled saying gladly. Harry chuckled as you both got up and left. Harry was a gentleman more or less he walked you home as you pushed him softly against the wall pulling him into a deep passionate kiss. He may be a gentleman but you werent. He gadly kissed you back holding your sides softly on the hips. You loved when he walked you home. The quite time away from Uma and the others.just you and Harry. Perfect moment What interrupted your perfect moment was loud gasping. Plus the voice from the past. “Y/N?” turning awaying from your devoted loving boyfriend to face your ex now offically King Ben. And his little villain friends. Evie, Carlos, and Jay. Stumbling backward surprised as Harry noticed the old villain kids . “ Well-well-well isn’t this a surprise. The traitors have returned and brought a little friend.” “Y/n! This is where you been all this time here?” Ben was in shock. His color disappeared seeing his former girlfriend who use to be all natural colors, with always a pretty dress on and wearing fancy designer cloths was now Wearing a pirates hat, bold pink hair. Tattered torn cloths. And ehich was more shocking his ex girlfriend. Princess Y/N wrapped around the son of captain hook. “you know this poser love?” Harry questioned it. But soon figured it out who was the stranger. the king. Grabbing Harrys hand you spoke up. “ only took 7 months to be found. What you doing here beast jr?” Jay and the others were surprised at your tone. Jay was your friend but Harry knew thr real you. But Ben knew the old you. Ben stepped forward worried about you. But first he had to question you about Mal. “Mal she ran away were trying to find her.” Nodding your head. Looking up at Harry curious if he would ever risk his neck for you like that. “have you seen her?” “trust us. If we saw miss princess we wouldn't be in a dark alleyway. Doing stuff your innocent eyes are not acustomed too” Turning to Harry he smiled brightly leaning over kissing your cheek. as he spoke, “well we probably would but. I know Uma will be excited to hear that traitor is back.” Kissing Harrys cheek you pulled back looking at them. “good luck finding her in one piece. Night Harry.” It was the next day you were on Harry ship. Uma called you onto the ship seeing Harry smiling and leaning close too Ben arm wrapped around him. Ben looked at you like he was torn insides. You were surprised to see Ben tied up. Surrounded by Uma goons. “look at that beautiful creature. What sort of mad man would choose to willingly leave her??” walking over to the two boys you asked what this was about. “easily were holding lover boy hostage until Mal and her little frirnds return with the fairy god mothers wand.” Looking at Uma you were in pure shock. She could destroy the peace with that wand. Turning too Harry he noticed your unsettlement as he spoke calmly “its ok beautiful" shaking your head. You walked over too the side of the boat. Letting it all sink in. Pulling off your pirate hat. Harry stole it for you the first date you had. You never took it off. Seeing the white feather you turned seeing Ben. Was he a great boyfriend? NO. Harry was ten times the boyfriend. But this was wrong. If Mel gave up the wand and knowing idiot Mel she would. All your friends and family back home would be in danger. You walked over too Harry pulling him into a kiss. He gladly accepted the kiss as you slipped his dagger too Ben freeing him. You and Ben barely escaped. Back in a Limo driving back too the villain free school. You didn’t look at Ben. He was quite the entire ride home. Once home you walked off catching sight of Jay as you rushed over to him hugging him. Crying realizing what you judo gave up. HARRY. Four weeks later you were sitting on a bench reading. Well trying to read you were heartbroken over Harry. Feeling something go on your head you grabbed it looking up. Seeing it was your pirate hat. Turning seeing Harry there wearing the official school uniform. You gasped getting up hugging him tightly. Pulling him into a kiss he smiled brightly as you asked what he was doing here. “ Mel convinced the King too let me come. To be with you.” Smiling as you kissed him again. Just reviled he didn’t blame you for Uma failed plan. “im so sorry" harry shook his head “No I am. Im so sorry Y/N I love you” you replied back with a kiss.

RALLY CO. #3: THE RACKETEER PART 3
Rib-Eye Renzo was valuable. That’s why Don Malvoli holed him up in a hotel whose owner was on their take. Cozy little spot, though hardly luxurious. So he tried to sneak out as often as he could to go shopping for things to help stave off the frustration of being stuck here until the job was done. Malvoli’s thugs were his security, but Renzo knew ways to convince them into relaxing their guard.
“Mister Renzo! Whatcha getting’ us today?”
The neighborhood kids were set to heckle him again. But Renzo didn’t mind: For a little pocket change he’d buy them some candy or a small toy. He couldn’t spend too much all at once, but it felt nice to at least do something until this business working for Don Malvoli was squared away. The nearest grocer or butcher shop would provide him with ribeye steaks, the fresher the better. And then he could resume his divining for the gang.
Just as he was carrying his paper bags of personal things like toilet paper and deodorant—and a lone plastic bag, tied to secure the ribeye steaks within, he bumped into someone who had stopped by to purchase the latest newspaper from a corner stand run by a teenager.
“Oh! Dreadfully sorry, my man. Allow me to help you.” said the fellow Renzo bumped into.
“Aw! I’m sorry, I shoulda been payin’ attention. Real lousy and lout-like I was—what.”
Renzo perked up when he recognized the famous occult detective, Solomon Callahan! Did that mean that Callahan was onto him? And that Rally Co. bunch that had come back—he’d heard of them! And how they fought ferociously against fiends, despite being new to the adventuring scene.
“Something the matter, my friend?” said Solomon. The older man couldn’t place what it was, but he tried to maintain a calm appearance. Solomon had no intention of frightening Renzo. In fact, the occult detective wasn’t even looking for him.
“Here, you dropped your ribeye steaks! Fresh looking cuts, you’re a lucky—”
But mid-speech, Renzo had just stood up and started jogging away, terrified. Solomon took up the groceries and hurried after, confused but determined to ask what was bothering the poor man.
X
“Ya told me you wasn’t followed!” exclaimed a woman in a fancy vest, and shirt with folded up sleeves. One of Don Malvoli’s captains: Menace Melanie, as she was called.
“Get off my back, Mel!” sputtered another gangster, who had tied a bandanna around his mouth. “It was a whole blasted chase! And look!”
The lowly gangster gestured to his car: Three other enforcers, all knocked out.
“If I hadn’t taken the wheel and covered my mouth… You shoulda caught a whiff of that juice! They had these fancy pellet-capsule things filled with the crap. Each shot enough to lay out my boys. I ways swayin’ through traffic just catching the secondhand… gas!”
“Well whaddya waiting for?!” bellowed Melanie, before waving to a few other goons to grab their weapons. “They’re gonna crash this joint real soon! So we gotta nix ‘em before all our product and operations in this neighborhood get busted!”
“No, I mean—there it is now!”
Melanie turned to see some of the pellet-capsule things colliding with the wall: She’d just lost a couple more guys to these things, as Felix and Tycho came charging in.
“Prepare ta be blasted!” bellowed Tycho, letting loose with a barrage of impellets. The remaining gangsters let loose with their own weapons, as impellets and bullets flew every which way.
“I’ll do the blasting, pintsworth!”
Ez wasn’t far off, flicking the cap off of a test tube and lobbing it forward to create a small explosion.
“They missed us! We’ve got ‘em!” cried a gangster.
“You idiot!” screeched Melanie. “It’s a smoke bomb!”
Melanie stumbled through the smoke, trying to get away when she caught a glimpse of Felix trailing after her. Ez snuck up on a gangster from behind and poured a handful of impellets into their back, forcing them forward and falling into an open crate. Tycho found a ladder propped up against a stack of crates, and began to climb it, before dropping onto a gangster with a body slam.
“Your number’s up, Mel!” exclaimed Felix, between coughs as the criminal captain struggled to open a backdoor that would have led into the alleyways.
“I ain’t done yet, you goody two-shoes!”
Menace Melanie drew a switchblade and thrusted it forward at Felix, who took up her jutte with her free hand and used it to redirect the blade in a circular motion. The lightning fast motion twisted Melanie’s arm and forced her to let go.
“We want to know about the rising star.” said Felix sternly. “Don Malvoli. Last I heard, the old bosses weren’t stirring up such trouble.”
“You’re right about that—guy’s a pain in the ass. He had a lot of grief with all the other syndicates. Our old lead, Gramps Toretti took him in on account of the fact Malvoli wouldn’t have made it on the streets on his own as a youngster. But too much pity went around for that little bastard. He had free rein to live comfy. Took some of our… less disciplined people and they all put together a plan. Took out Toretti together.”
“And now you’re just following him? Isn’t anyone going to stand up?”
“You don’t get it: He made friends with all the meanest legbreakers, and the saps who run the numbers, balance our business books. All the guys we used to keep in check before he talked Toretti into letting ‘em roll with him. An idiot like Malvoli needs people stronger and smarter than him to buy into his schemes. And if nothing else, Malvoli could sell a sob story. Made all of the slimeballs—even among mobsters, see themselves in him.”
Felix scowled at the thought. Malvoli might have had a rough life, but that was no excuse for his actions now. The only one he aimed to help now that he had the power to do so, was himself! All others would be his pawns. Loyal to him, but never the reverse.
“I’ll tell you where he is, if you think you’re tough enough to stick it to him.” said Melanie. “But be warned: He’s turned to some mumbo jumbo and monsters. Another reason why we couldn’t jump him ourselves. But I hear you Rally Co. people got some tricks of your own in the weirdo department.”
“Quite a way to phrase it, but yes.”
Felix dragged Melanie back over with her fellows, and the lot of them were bound to a pole with chains found by Tycho. Once Felix had the information she wanted, she nudged the shorter adventurer.
“I’m going to call Solomon to inform him of our findings. I thought I’d let you know there’d be a cryptid involved.”
“Any idea what kind?” said Tycho.
“Hopefully nothing large. I could do without a big monster for a while… That and I doubt its size because I’d have caught wind about the gangs carrying something like that, or using it against enemies.”
Meanwhile, from a nearby van parked on the curb, a couple of jumpsuit-clad working men were staking out the scene: And In the back, one more of their number keeping a caged beast at bay.
“They’re boutta go.” said a gangster, adjusting their jumpsuit and cap repairman disguise. “Let that thing out already before they get away.”
“Youse got it.”
The third gangster opened the rear doors, and turned the cage to open it: As Felix had suspected, it wasn’t a terribly large cage. But it was spacious enough the nimble cryptid within could move around. Agility was the ally of this one.
“Hey, is it out yet?!”
“Don’t scream at it, Agata—”
But it was too late. The nimble little cryptid reached out a limb and latched onto Agata’s face, becoming a flurry of pain for the two gangsters up front. At least, until one of them could roll down the window in time to allow the cryptid to escape. But by the time they did, their faces looked as if they’d been belted one too many times by a handful of stones and a nightstick.
“If I was one of them gangsters, Felix,” started Tycho, as the two headed back for the car. “I’d get one of the biggest, meanest jerks I could. And tough luck if they’re too chicken to get a real beasty! In fact, I’ll bet they just up and got an oversized chicken to come after us.”
But before Felix could respond, the two perked up at a sound: Something hopping along the roofs of the parked cars. Felix would reach into her jacket for a weapon, but by the time she’d fired off a couple of impellets, the approaching aggressor had seemingly vanished. When she turned, she spotted Tycho wresting with something, as the two fell into the shadows of an alleyway.
“Tycho?!”
Tycho was swinging his fists, trying to find his opponent, but something caused him to bash his fists into the nearby brick wall. He would have cried out, but the cryptid had its tail around his mouth. It had meant to ensnare his throat, but the stout cryptozoologist was not easily taken.
“I can’t get a clear shot!” exclaimed Felix. She tried to move in to pry the thing off of Tycho, but he gestured for her to stay back. As Tycho teetered back into the light, she could see just what it was: Some sort of monkey, but the tail seemed to have a stony layer, rendering it a deadly weapon.
“Mmmph!” Tycho sounded off. Just as Felix watched, Katrina and Ez had wheeled up in the car. Katrina of course, was quick to try and use her telekinesis to tr and remove the cryptid. But as its legs were forced off, it simply latched on with its arms, while its stony tail whacked Tycho over the head repeatedly.
“Eep!” cried Katrina. She pulled at the arms now. It latched on again with the legs, that club-like tail battering Tycho some more until finally, Katrina got the idea to levitate it by its tail.
“Tycho! Oh, I am so sorry dear.” said Katrina. “Are you well?”
But the Irishman was dizzy from the assault. And all he could blurt out was:
“Slàinte!”
“I’m almost glad for Malvoli’s rotten luck…” sighed Ez. “Felix being able to intercept Dr. Leistung’s creation, and now Katrina capturing this little nuisance? Otherwise Don Malvoli might have actually had a hypercompetent fighting force.”
“Issa Granite-tailed Howler.” puffed Tycho, holding his head in his hands as he recovered. “They’re not as bad in the wild if ye leave ‘em alone. But this one was steamin’ mad.”
“Ah, that’s always how it is with distant relatives, you foolhardy orangutan!” said Ez, getting some things from her bag. “Come here, Tycho. Let me see how badly that thing hurt you.”
X
The next morning, Don Malvoli was at a golf course upstate, outside of the city of Arcadia. But despite his best efforts, he never could seem to get a hole in one… or anything resembling getting his golf ball into the hole. And his instructor had long since been threatened into near silence. Rib-Eye Renzo was driving a golf cart over to Malvoli’s spot, with the third gangster from the night prior—who had disguised themselves as a repairman or some such.
“Renzo! What gives?! I thought I told youse to stay put!”
“That’s just it, boss!” cried Renzo. “I ran into Solomon Callahan on the way to getting more divining steaks. And this goomba here says they not only busted Menace Melanie, they caught your cryptid!”
“What?! But I ordered a big monster!” spat Malvoli, moving for the repairman-gangster with an impotent thirst for blood in his eyes. But Renzo had stepped in.
“Wouldn’t you eh… rather have me peer into the future? I only got one steak left and it’s been goin’ bad fast!”
“What? Oh, aw right, Renzo. Keep me updated… They mighta found youse, but I guess you technically ain’t failed me yet.”
Renzo nodded meekly and took out a plastic bag he’d filled with ice. There was a ribeye steak starting to lose its crimson shade. But he held it up to his eye, as it peered through the round bone, and into the future.
“Well?” said Malvoli.
“I see… I see…!” chanted Renzo. Malvoli just stared for a while, before Renzo slapped the steak a bit before putting it back up to his eye. Malvoli himself proceeded to slap Renzo about the face.
“Whaddya see, wiseguy?!”
“Gah! Alright, alright! I see lotsa guns firing. Rally Co., and a spectacular ambush!”
“Is it ours or theirs?!”
“I can’t see so good no more. This steak’s bit the dust.”
Malvoli’s eyes nearly bulged out of his head at Renzo’s inability to clarify. But then he just started laughing.
“That’s good, that’s good! I’m gonna set up an ambush of my own… That way, Rally Co. ain’t gonna get the jump on us! Cause see, we’ll get the jump on them!”
“Wow. Real swell plan, boss.”
“Damn right. Now get outta my sight. Get yourself some new steaks!”
Renzo nodded and scurried back to the cart. But before the gangster-repairman could join him, Malvoli beckoned for him to turn around. And then with a swing, Malvoli walloped the nine-iron against the repairman-gangster’s rump, an anguished cry ensuing as Malvoli forked over some extra money for his golf instructor to help him beat the underling up.
Renzo had caught a ride back to the city. Took a walk for a while to clear his head, but that did little good for the stress. So it was back to his safehouse to try and relax. He’d go in thirty minutes to get a fresh steak. Working for Don Malvoli was such pressing work—in the past he’d just been counted upon to help win at gambling. Horse races and blackjack at the underground casinos and backroom card games. Still criminal, but Gramps Toretti kept him away from any drugs or death-dealing actions. Easy enough since Toretti put the organized in organized crime. Settled things with conferences between the local syndicate leads before coming to blows. Now, it was like Don Malvoli used him for every little thing. Regardless whether there was blood to be had or not.
And under Malvoli, they went from fencing goods, gambling and embezzlement to plans for heavier drug trafficking, protection and loan sharks, arms dealing, and controlling prostitution with an iron grip. And with that the rival syndicates would step up to try and match Malvoli’s high stakes operations. Renzo felt a little guilty at first—Toretti’s jobs weren’t exactly noble. But now they were taking more money from the neighborhoods and less from the banks or the suits uptown.
There was a knock at Renzo’s door. One of the thugs guarding Renzo had drawn a pistol, and gone to check: It was some of the kids from down the block. The ones he’d bought candy for whenever he was out.
“Mister Renzo, you can’t do this!”
“What?! What’d I do?!” cried Renzo. One of the kids had lunged at Renzo, battering him with their fists to a little over minimal effect.
“Papa’s store! Your bums wrecked Papa’s store! He never snitched on your gang, and this is how you pay him back?!”
Renzo shouldn’t have been shocked. But Leonardi’s shop was around as long as Renzo could remember. Renzo himself used to go in there to bring the best ingredients home to cook. And now here was Leonardi’s kid, blind in his desire for bloody vengeance.
“That’s enough, peanut.” said the guard, ushering the children away. “Get lost before you get hurt.”
Renzo sat there a while. This had to end. He was privy on Don Malvoli’s schemes. Heck, even out of his good graces he could combine his knowledge of the mob with his divining power. Put an end to this all! But how could he? The police would never trust him. And Rally Co. was crashing as many operations in town as they could, weren’t they?
“Hey, yer steaks are here. I didn’t know they delivered.”
“Huh?”
“Yeah! All classy-like with that suit. At least ya don’t have to worry about going out in public no more for a while.”
Renzo looked up to see Solomon Callahan as the door closed. He held in his hands a small crystal, of which Renzo caught a glow. It was the sort of arcane stone that alerted one to other mystical powers in the area, the glow stronger the closer the source was. And once the door shut and Renzo had a chance to test one of the steaks, Solomon was certain he’d found the place: The crystal grew even more brilliantly.
“Mr. Callahan?”
It was Felix. She had helped Solomon stake the street, and follow Renzo around the area unseen.
“That fellow you said you needed help shadowing. Is he?...”
“Not so loud, my young friend. But yes, you were right.”
Solomon gestured for Felix to follow him outside. They could not linger here, but they also did not depart from this street right away. The more experienced occult detective between the pair of investigators pressed his index and middle fingers to the temple of his skull, and he glanced back up.
“Do not make a sound. Your bodyguard needn’t know of this commune.”
“It really was you!” thought Renzo, responding to Solomon’s telepathy. “I’ll come quietly. I’ll confess to everything, but you’ve got to get your Rally Co. bunch to lay off! I want to help bring in Don Malvoli!”
“Perhaps. But for the time being we need you to stay in his good graces. Can we count on you, Renzo?”
“Yeah! Youse ain’t gonna regret this none, Callahan. But I should warn ya: After some fortune telling, Malvoli’s settin’ up an ambush of his own.”
“Where?”
“Dunno yet. He’s been private with that info. You’ll have to be careful wherever youse guys track him!”
Solomon looked over to Felix.
“Felix. Inform the others: Rib-Eye Renzo is with us. But Don Malvoli has prepared an ambush at an unknown time and location.”
Felix’s eyes widened with astonishment at Renzo’s change of heart. But nodded.
“I’ll do you one better, sir: I’ll snoop around and find out just what… then we’ll mount our own counter-attack!”
