Marvel character birthdays. Earth-18104.

Did I fucking write an entire list of births for marvel character for my AU? Yes, I did, because I have a thing for list and numbers and timelines.

Well, here we go. The birth dates are based purely on their first appearance, the stories they are in, and to make sense of thir physical age (like, why Kitty Pryde still looks so young after so many years), with some canon birthdays, like Cannonball's. Also, not all marvel character are here, mostly are X-Men.

After each name there's a few letter indicating if the caracter is a OC of mine (OC); if they were a mutant depowered on M-Day (DP)/ if they were lost in time so they age is different than what it's supposed to be (LT), for example Magik; if they died and came back (P), like Doug Ramsey;

In this universe the Snap happned, like in Infinity War, and it lasted six years (between 2004/2010), so if a name has (S) in the end, the character should be six years younger, since they didn't age during this time.

new parody oc story idea

Romeo-kun and Juliet-senpai

1 normal guy, 25 crazy girls

College first-year Romeo Adachi is a generic boy, studying to be a male witch, with a complex about his first name. In a crazy world filled with magical life forms, Romeo has no special features. Juliet Oyamada, a catgirl who is a year older than him, also has a complex about her name….

One day they meet, and end up hating each other. Then they find out each other’s first name… and chaos ensues.

Romeo and Juliet hate each other, but can’t seem to ever be separated. Especially since their families want them to get married because of their “star-crossed names.” (Even though in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the two families hated each other. Oh the irony!)

At the hidden magic college they go to, only 10% of the current student body is male. Romeo has a long time crush on the cheerful and sporty fox fauna girl, Ashley.

In Romeo’s class, there are 5 boys and 25 girls.

Romeo is an extremely plain guy surrounded by 25 crazy magic girls of all kinds of tropes. This manga is kind of a parody and the tropes are played with.

The world is a magical version of Earth. The school is a college campus that teaches magic, and is a very zany school filed with dungeons and secret rooms. There is also an adventurous twist in the story. Eventually.

The girls also all seem a bit bisexual.

A fauna is a person with animal ears and a tail.

The characters are as follows…

Tsundere girl with twintails- Juliet Oyamada the catgirl. She is messy, aggressive, bad-mannered, but has a good heart… and is surprisingly cute. She has orange hair in wavy long twintails.

Genki tomboy who loves sports- Ashley, Romeo’s initial crush and childhood friend from late elementary. A fox girl who is chaotic, uncouth, loud, deranged. She has boyish red hair.

The modest everygirl- Ichigo the dog fauna who has a crush on Romeo. Has been friends with Romeo since early high school. She has short pink hair.

Most adorable girl ever- Tomona the alien. She has pink skin, black hair, and antennae-like alien ears. Very innocent. She says “boop” after everything.

Shy nerdy book girl- Kyoko the cyclops. Kyoko is quiet, but knowlegable a wide range of subjects. She reads everything she can get her hands on. She cries easily, but hates to do so because a cyclops crying with one eye as is deemed a spectacle of sorts.

Mysterious pretentious girl- Daphne the reptile fauna dragon girl. She fakes being mysterious, basically.

Sassy gyaru girl- Leigh the bunnygirl. Leigh is confident and a bit loud, but kind and quite intelligent. She wears the gyaru fashion style and is a dancer. She is half-Uruguayan.

Masculine fighter girl- Kirara, centaur with an unfitting cute name. Kirara has a shaved head. She does martial arts, and can do a few extra moves due to being a centaur.

Dummy baka airhead girl- Hilda the chubby elfin girl. Hilda’s mind is always somewhere else. She also yells a lot. She is 4 feet and 6 inches. She is chubby.

Shy shrinking violet girl- Tasha the fairy. Tasha can shrink down to fairy size when she wants. She is very shy and doesn’t like to be seen, so it’s often. She is Black and has purple braids.

Sparkly cute idol girl- Aimi the android girl. Aimi was an android built to sing and dance, but she became sentient.

Normal tsukkomi girl- Amanda the harpy. Amanda thinks she’s the only normal person in this whole school. She constantly remarks when people are being Weird. She has a beak.

Otaku girl- Hyorin, Korean fairy girl. She moved to Japan because she loves anime. Hyorin loves the yuri genre and secretly loves girls herself… She even has two moms.

Classy well-mannered girl- Etsuko who has 3 eyes. She also has lavender skin and horns. She is classy and strict, and cannot handle uncouth things and people.

Wild girl who causes mischief- Meiran, Chinese, undead monster girl. She is always causing mischief and yelling. And living live to the extreme. And yelling.

Genius stoic emotionless girl- Zoey the serpentine girl. Nobody knows what goes on in Zoey’s head, but it’s a lot.

Sweet sleepy girl- Sonya the cyclops monster girl. She has a comfy presence. Sonya can’t wink because she has one eye. She is prone to falling asleep.

Zany inventor girl- Ayana, giraffe girl transfer student from Tanzania. She wears huge nerdy glasses. She also has a long neck. Ayana is always yelling “eureka!”

The mean queen girl- Minoru, called “Meanie” by boys, ghost undead. Minoru is your classic telenovela mean girl. Why is she so mean? What a snob.

Big sister girl- Urara is Kirara’s older sister and a centaur. Urara is very sweet, protective, and nurturing. She also gets into fights and kicks butt.

Tough punk sukeban girl- Nicole the wolf fauna. A lone wolf, who is similar to Miyu but doesn’t get along with her. They are rivals from opposing gangs. She has… you guessed it, a soft spot for cute things.

Yankee gang girl- Miyu the horned banshee. She is from an opposing gang to Nicole and clashes with her. She is always yelling and is very uncouth.

Goth musician girl- Rune the android alien girl. She loves to rock, demonic style.

Clumsy girl- Anisa the cheerful Indonesian Muslim deer fauna, a baker. She loves to cook but often spills her batter and trips over crumbs… But her cakes and cookies are usually delicious and filled with love… and sometimes random items she clumsily lost in the batter.

Edgy chuunibyou girl- Aurelia Xiomara Petrichor VII. A vampire. Yes, that’s her real name. She is pretentious and is a lord of the darkness.

The plain generic guy- Romeo Adachi. He’s so normal that it’s weird.

Obnoxious friend- Sugano the obnoxious yelling vampire. He is bald.

Handsome senpai friend- Kawamoto the sexy alien. He has a mustache.

Shy guy friend- Kizaki the ghost undead beaver fauna boy. He is soft.

Manly muscle guy friend- Nitta the fat bear fauna guy. He has a beard. He is gentle but kind of strange sometimes. Lots of muscle.

Eccentric teacher- Emma Hoshimi the art teacher is zany and eccentric

Shy teacher- Sori Lee the science teacher is always messing around in the chemistry room and causing explosions. She is very shy though.

Strict teacher- Kasey Elmer the math teacher is usually fed up with students. And life.

Protective teacher- Kendra Wilson is a nice teacher who cares deeply about the students, isn’t afraid to break up fights and get to the bottom of problems.

Romeo’s loyal mutt dog- Miso the brown shaggy dog. He looks like a bear.

An adorable cat who says “nimu nimu”- Poco is a blue cat!

A flying pig- Spot the winged pig can fly.

A little dinosaur- Toothy the little T-Rex.

A cute dragon- Garnet is an adorable dragon and a school pet.

A cute dragon- Topaz is an adorable dragon and a school pet.

A cute little mascot creature- Konamon is Juliet’s mysterious creature pet. Nobody quite knows what he is, exactly.

Tasha’s talking teddy bear- Cookie is a beloved plush from Tasha’s childhood who came to life.

Leipziger Buchmesse – Afterglow

Die Leipziger Buchmesse, bzw. für uns die MCC / Manga-Comic-Con, ist jetzt schon eine Woche her und ich habe mich endlich mal hingesetzt, um meinen Afterglow der Con zu schreiben, weil so viele schöne Dinge passiert sind. Ehe ich diese Dinge alle vergesse, halte ich sie lieber hier fest.

Dieser Text ist also keine Review der Con oder ein Erfahrungsbericht oder sowas in der Art sondern ein persönliches Erinnerungsfesthalten. Deswegen nenne ich es auch „Afterglow“, weil die schönen Erinnerungen und Gefühle in mir noch eine Weile weiterglühen. =)

Die epische Türklinke

Das erste, was ich immer erzählen muss, wenn es um die LBM / MCC 2023 geht, ist die Geschichte der „epischen Türklinke“. Die Story hatte eigentlich einen etwas unschönen Beginn, wurde dann aber schnell zu einem Dauerlacher auf der Messe.

Ich hatte aus der Not heraus im Dezember eine neue Unterkunft für die Messe buchen müssen, weil die Ferienwohnung, die ich eigentlich schon Monate zuvor gebucht hatte, sich scheinbar spontan entschieden haben zum Jahresende '22 den Betrieb einzustellen. Sie stornierten also meine Buchung für April und wer schonmal zur LBM eine Unterkunft gesucht hat weiß, wie schwer es ist „kurzfristig“ - also vier Monate vorher – eine bezahlbare Unterkunft zu finden, die nicht zu weit von der Messe entfernt ist.

Ich hatte nach einigen erfolglosen Versuchen auf AirBNB dann endlich Glück auf Booking und eine günstige Monteurswohnung ohne Stornierungsmöglichkeit gefunden. Aber das war ok, weil ich ja wusste, dass ich eh da sein würde.

Die Wohnung war sehr rudimentär eingerichtet und klein, aber das war ja egal, weil meine Helferin und ich nur da schlafen müssen.

Meine geplante Helferin war dann aus Gründen nicht dabei, weswegen ich zwei Nächte alleine da gewesen wäre.

Nun kamen wir an der Monteurswohnung an und die Gegend sah schon ein bisschen sketchy aus. =/

Der Mitarbeiter von der Vermietung war total mies gelaunt und sein Vibe war auch irgendwie off. (dazu muss ich sagen, dass wir später nochmal wen anderes von der Vermietung kennen gelernt haben und der war sehr nice. Also lag es nicht an der Vermietung sondern nur an diesem einen Dude)

Er ließ mich und Meiran (die eben die Hände waschen wollte) in die Wohnung mit seinem Schlüssel an einem Lanyard, zeigte uns miesgelaunt und kurzangebunden die Wohnung und den Schlüssel, den ich am Wochenende nutzen sollte und verschwand dann wieder aus der Tür. Mit dem Schlüssel an seinem Lanyard.

Nun ist irgendwie verständlich und klar, dass eine Vermietung auch einen Schlüssel haben sollte für Notfälle (der später auch eintraf XD) aber wie gesagt war der Vibe von dem Dude total off und wie er den Lanyard schwang beim rausspazieren... idk. Ich hab mich nicht so sicher gefühlt. (Wobei ich generell eher Angst um meine Sachen hatte wenn ich nicht da bin, als um mich selbst. XD...)

Jedenfalls habe ich daraufhin versucht, die Türe vom Flur zum Wohnzimmer abzuschließen, weil nichts im Flur stand. Leider gab es keinen Schlüssel für diese Türe. Etwas resigniert zog ich die Wohnzimmertüre hinter mir zu... und hatte die Türklinke in der Hand. (Also die Plastik-Zimmertürenklinke!)

Ich wollt sie erst panisch wieder in die Türe stecken, als Meiran meinte „nimm die doch mit!“ - und damit hatte sie den Grundstein für die epische Türklinke gelegt, die mich von da an bei jedem Trip außerhalb der Wohnung begleitete. Denn ohne die Klinke konnte niemand in die Wohnung, selbst wenn er den Wohnungsschlüssel hatte. Und in der Diele hatte ich ja nix gelagert.

Und weil ich ein kleines bisschen Selbstschutz habe hab ich auch nachts die Klinke abgezogen und nur von innen drauf gesteckt. ;D Passiert ist am Ende nichts.

Aber better safe than sorry.

Wenn ich die Story über meine „sketchy Unterkunft“ erzählt habe, habe ich dann natürlich auch ganz lapidar immer die Türklinke unter dem Tisch hervorgezaubert, sehr zum Amusement meiner Gesprächspartner beim Essen und Co.

Keine Sorge. Am Ende meines Aufenthaltes habe ich die Türklinke natürlich in der Wohnung gelassen und werde nie wieder zurückkehren. XD

Bachelorarbeit

Die ersten Signierstunden am Stand von Carlsen Manga seit gefühlten Ewigkeiten waren auch mal wieder sehr nice. Besonders krass war aber ein Moment, der mir wohl noch ne Weile im Kopf bleiben wird.

Ein junger Mann kam zur Signierstunde mit je dem ersten Band FOCUS 10 und dem ersten Band TEMPEST CURSE. Beide waren rundum komplett GESPICKT mit diesen kleinen, schmalen Folien Postit-Markern. Und ich war so „Oh wow, was ist denn da passiert?“

Mit der Antwort hatte ich dann nicht gerechnet. Ich dacht vielleicht, er ist Zeichner und hat sich irgendwie Panel markiert, die ihm gefallen haben zur recherche oder so. IDK XD Aber nein, er antwortete, dass er seine BACHELORARBEIT zum Teil über meine Mangas geschrieben hat!! Wie cool ist das bitte?!

Noch cooler war, dass das Thema (along the lines of, ich geb es sicher falsch wieder) „Genderidentität und Trauma in (deutschen) Mangas“ war. Das hat mich ganz besonders gefreut, weil er TEMPEST CURSE benutzt hat, in den ich sehr bewusst eine zweite Storyebene eingebaut habe, in der es exakt um das Thema Genderidentität, deren Findung und das Realisieren von „du musst keinen Stereotypen folgen um einem Gender anzugehören“ geht.

Ich kann nicht gleichzeitig zeichnen und auf den Stand aufpassen bzw. Kunden bedienen. Und ich muss ganz ganz ehrlich sein, dass ich da nicht traurig drum bin.

Es war mega schön einfach nur da zu sein und mit euch zu quasseln und euch meine Bücher anzudrehen. XD ♥

Ich hab schon überlegt, ob ich in Zukunft „Con-Commissions“ eine Woche vor Cons annehme und bis zur Con anfertige, damit sie da abgeholt werden können. Problem könnte dabei natürlich sein, dass einige von euch ihre Einträge in Bücher haben wollen... idk. Sagt mir gern, was ihr davon haltet. =)

Worbla-Figürchen

Am Sonntag (oder Samstag ＞ᨓ＜ Bin nicht sicher, Con is a blur) kam eine ganz liebe Person an meinen Stand um mir eine kleine Figur zu überreichen, die sie selbst aus Worbla gemacht hat. Die Figur stellt mich selbst dar mit meinem Grafiktablett und meinem Stift und einem kleinen Mochiküken. ♥

Sie hat sich bedankt für meine Streams und meine Arbeit und ach-! T ^ T ich hab direkt wieder Tränen in den Augen! Das war so heartfelt und was sie gesagt hat, hat mich so gerührt und etwas in mir wieder zusammengeklebt, was ein bisschen kaputt war. Ganz ganz großes DANKE an dich, du wunderbare Person! Du weißt, wer du bist! T ᗜ T *sob*

Newsletter!?

So viele Male auf der LBM kam die Aussage an meinem Stand: „Ich wusste gar nicht, dass es von TORRENT einen zweiten Teil gibt!!“

Dabei war ich mir sicher, dass ich es auf Social-Media so gut wie möglich versucht habe zu verbreiten. Aber entweder bin ich shit darin, Werbung zu machen oder – was wahrscheinlicher ist – meine Reichweite ist einfach shit. Ich merke, dass von den ca dreitausend Leuten, die mir auf Twitter folgen, vielleicht ein drittel meine Posts überhaupt SEHEN. Nicht liken sondern nur sehen! Jetzt wo man die Views sehen kann, kann man das ja eher einschätzen. Und von den Views sind sicher einige auch noch gar keine Follower. Das heißt, die Leute, die meinen Content sehen wollen (sonst wären sie mir ja nicht gefolgt), wird zwei Dritteln dieser Content vorenthalten. ୧(๑•̀ᗝ•́)૭ screw you, Twitter!

Im Gespräch mit einigen Besuchern auf der LBM / MCC kam ich dann zu dem Schluss, dass es vielleicht gar nicht so dumm ist in der aktuellen Social-Media Landschaft, in der immer mehr Künstler von dem Algorythmus, Shadow-Bans und dem ganzen Anti-Künstler-Shit geknüppelt werden, zurück zu gehen zu einer Form der Informationsverteilung, die im ersten Moment etwas „rückständig“ klingt. Newsletter.

Natürlich würde ich nicht jedes Mal einen Newsletter senden, wenn ich ein besonders leckeres Marmeladenbrot geschmiert habe oder ich mich über den DHL-Boten aufrege. XD Dafür ist Twitter da. Aber wenn jemand wirklich wichtige Infos von mir nicht verpassen möchte, ist ein Newsletter (vielleicht monatlich oder zweimonatlich?) vermutlich die einfachste und sicherste Methode up-to-date zu bleiben was meine Veröffentlichungen anbelangt. Ich habe mir schone in paar Anbieter angeschaut und zwei rausgesucht, die ich noch gegeneinander aufwiege. Und nächste Woche geht es dann wohl los mit dem Einrichten. Ich werde dann den Newsletter überall verlinken (Carrd, Webseite etc.) und nochmal überall die Werbetrommel rühren, damit hoffentlich jeder, der an sicheren Updates interessiert ist, die nicht von einem Algorithmus weggespült oder versteckt werden können, sich eintragen kann.

Haltet die Augen offen! OAO (und erzählt es weiter!)

So... ich glaub, ich hab alles erzählt, was ich nicht vergessen wollte.

Alles in allem war die LBM / MCC 2023 die beste Messe / Convention seit langem!!
