so in true “committing to the bit” fashion my stepdad and i established a few years ago a holiday tradition of making as many cookies as humanly possible in one day and when you have just a little dough left but not enough to justify another batch you make megacookie. we’re evil

I like to take the four different starburst flavors and compress them together into one mega starburst

Worked at subway at one point, couple of the guys I worked with came by to hang and we made megacookies using one of the things for each of the ones they had except the oatmeal raisin ones.

They were nummy

step one buy pre made cookie mix from the baking aisle of safeway because you’re fed up with homemade mixing 

step two make the dough. there’s instructions on the bag i’m not explaining this part

OPTIONAL: use vegetable oil instead of butter because you forgot to buy more butter yesterday

step three DO NOT PORTION OUT INTO BALLS instead just slap all the cookie dough on your baking sheet and then hit it with the spatula until it’s spread evenly in some sort of godless shape

step four haphazardly sprinkle all the cinnamon sugar packet over top. don’t worry if it’s even because it will not matter 

step five bake it. see step two

step six pull it out once it smells really good and then cackle madly at your own genius 

OPTIONAL: post photo on tumblr so everyone else can appreciate said genius

step seven cut it up into pizza slices because it’s funny and stack them all up in a lopsided tower on a plate. there is no structural stability to megacookie so don’t worry about making it look neat. this will also redistribute some of the cinnamon sugar 

step eight grab a fork or your fingys if you don’t care about getting them messy and dig in :) woo 

step nine wao it’s so tasty yum yum you are welcome

life gets so much better when you just do whatever the fuck you want

I was making cookies today and it got me thinking so here are the Hermits making cookies together:

Grian: Forgets to put the chocolate chips in the batter and has to put them on the top of the cookies just before they go in the oven

Zedaph: Is sitting on the floor eating cookie dough

Tango: Is futilely attempting to wash egg off himself and/or overheating the oven while waiting for Impulse to come back

Impulse: Is driving to the store at inadvisable speeds because they forgot the parchment paper for the cookie sheets

Xisuma: Has his flour in those matching ceramic jars, definitely labeled with a label maker. Also sifts every ingredient even if it has no lumps in it.

Iskall: Smooshes the batter into one giant square megacookie instead of doing individual ones

Doc: Crack open the thermal mechanics textbook kids, on god these are gonna be the most evenly baked cookies of all time. Nothing but the best.

Joe: Contemplating what counts as a cookie based on the subjective definition you use. Is it anything round and sweet? If so, is a pancake not a cookie? Is it round, sweet, and crunchy? If so what about soft cookies? He is discussing this as a mental exercise, but also as a distraction.

Cleo: Trying to stop Joe from doing the thing he's distracting from, which is putting jellybeans in her cookies. However, she is slowly starting to wonder if that might be a good idea after all.

Ren: Trying to make his cookies into cool shapes but he doesn't have a cookie cutter

Mumbo: Owns all the cool mixers and cookie scoopers and whatnot, he knows how to use them but the act of doing so vaguely scares him

Etho: Does not appear to be doing any work for the entire time but somehow ends up with the best cookies out of all of them in the end

Beef: Trying to convince everyone to put oats in their cookies

Bdubs: Yelling at Beef for putting oats in his cookies

Scar: Icing finished cookies but he keeps getting distracted by laughing at Bdubs

Cub: Putting far too much blue food coloring in the icing

OMG! I've just been all over the country side trying to get bloods done and either the nurses from @dorovich have decided not to turn up or they won't do it for me because I'm not a patient there.. #feelingalittepissedtosaytheleast 😆 . So to make up for that fiasco I've go these yummy #cookies for the gang this morning, I've turned my Anzac biscuits into Mega Kingston Cookies! They are pretty damn good too, I have to say. The trick to Kroll's Kookies (yes, it is intentionally spelled that way, lol) is to allow them to sit for 20 minutes after you remove them from the oven!
