A Collection of Windows One of my favorite shots is a photo of a really interesting window. Great color, peeling paint, broken glass, tattered curtains, and many other atributes can lend to a striking window photograph. Windows can make for one of the best pictures in a set if captured correctly. Windows give life to a house by letting in beautiful ambient light, fresh air, and sometimes a breathtaking view. I often wonder how many times a person caught the view from a specific window. Enjoy this collection of windows I've photographed from the various abandoned structures and historical architecture I've visited in the past. Let me know what you think in the comments!馃槉馃摲 @letters4thelordpm I know you'll enjoy this one. ;) #oklahoma #okc #harrah #harrahok #harrahoklahoma #choctawoklahoma #valleybrook #valleybrookoklahoma #guthrie #guthrieok #guthrieoklahoma #okhistory #meeker #meekeroklahoma #tahlequah #tahlequahoklahoma #okhistory #oklahomahistory #abandonedplaces #urbanexploration #urbex #abandoned #abandoned_world #OklahomaCity #creepywindows #windows (at Oklahoma) https://www.instagram.com/p/ByaeVykh2B5/?igshid=feo1b5e4timj

"The Overgrown Gas Station" I was cruising down highway 62 just inside Meeker, Oklahoma on my way to Tahlequah when I caught a glimpse of this tiny, colorful, and overgrown gas station that had been overtaken by nature. She was beautiful really. The colors, the shape, the size, and the stones all contributed to make an interesting and "cute" little building. I pulled over to the side of the road. Walked around and took few pictures of the front from a few different angles. There were rich green leaves, bold colorful flowers, beautiful stone walls, and contrasting abandoned characteristics like broken windows, rotted wood, and crooked doors . The window was busted open so I just stuck my Camera in and took a few pictures. It was really just a bunch of trash and a few boxes of what I assumed are just mason jars. It was really beat up. I walked around to the sides and behind the building to find what looked to just be an old, abandoned, Neglected, and non-salvageable house. Destroyed. It was strange and also sad. It's so pretty from the front. It almost looks like it could have been a little museum or antique shop. Somewhere you'd find an old, quirky elderly couple living out their days together running a small home based shop. But, unfortunately it was beyond repair. The sides and the roof were coming down, the inside was just trash. This old gal probably will never sing again but given her location she probably won't be tore down anytime soon unless mother nature does it herself. This abandoned gas station is one of 12 different abandoned buildings and cars from the 2020 Oklahoma Abandoned 12-month photo calendar. Adventure time! Today, starting at 6AM I will be driving from Moore, Oklahoma to Tahlequah, Oklahoma. I will be avoiding all highways and only driving the back roads (mainly route 62). I have my camera packed up and ready! I'll be stopping at every abandoned structure I see along the way! So, if you are from any of the towns in this map or along my route please leave me a comment and let me know what of anything that may be awesome to photograph! Now, I gotta stop and get a red bull. Got a long day ahead of me!馃榿馃榿馃摲馃摲 #Moore #okc #Choctaw #harrah #meeker #prague #boley #okemah #henryetta #beggs #haskell #fortgibson #parkhill #MooreOklahoma #OklahomaCity #choctawoklahoma #harrahoklahoma #meekeroklahoma #pragueoklahoma #boleyoklahoma #okemahoklahoma #henryettaoklahoma #beggsoklahoma #haskelloklahoma #fortgibsonoklahoma #parkhilloklahoma (at Oklahoma) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxkAk7Ahlm-/?igshid=1mr41g8x7lg0o

One of my favorite shots from the abandoned gas production facility in Meeker, Oklahoma. Nothing screams abandoned building more than years worth of vines crawling all over the place. #oklahoma #myoklahoma #exploreok #discoveroklahoma #okie #okielife #outdooroklahoma #oklahoman #igersok #travelok #oklahomalifestyle #OklahomaCity #oklahomaphotographer #oklahomaartist #oklahomaart #oklahomaartists #oklahomaphotographers #thisisoklahoma #okc #oklahomanature #meeker #meekeeok #meekeroklahoma #tahlequah #tahlequahoklahoma #okhistory #oklahomahistory (at Oklahoma) https://www.instagram.com/p/ByQJz-HhtJb/?igshid=2oibv6ncyolm

While in Meeker, Oklahoma I passed this giant beauty. In all honesty I couldn't tell if she was even abandoned. It had a few of the signs but it seemed well constructed. The problem was there was a tall barbed - wire fence surrounding the place so I couldn't get close enough to take any real good pictures. This building was HUGE. I sing think I've ever seen such a large building with this type of construction. It looked like something straight out of a horror movie. I was forced to use my 210mm zoom lens and poke it through a fence hole just to get this one photo. I really wonder what was going on in there given the crazy fencing and very large perimeter the building had. #oklahoma #myoklahoma #exploreok #discoveroklahoma #okie #okielife #outdooroklahoma #oklahoman #igersok #travelok #oklahomalifestyle #OklahomaCity #oklahomaphotographer #oklahomaartist #oklahomaart #oklahomaartists #oklahomaphotographers #thisisoklahoma #okc #oklahomanature #meeker #meekerok #meekeroklahoma (at Meeker, Oklahoma) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx477F_BWDm/?igshid=s6cnobipu25t

"The Gift that Keeps on Giving" " My trip to Tahlequah, Oklahoma gave me a lot of photo opportunities in a lot of the different small towns. Choctaw, Harrah, Ofuskee, and Okmulgee, just to name a few. But, Meeker, Oklahoma was the gift that kept on giving. It seemed every 2 or 3 miles into Meeker there was some old, desolate, abandoned piece of architecture. This beautiful building was no exception. I had arrived at just the right time to. Now, I was told this building is an old natural gas production plant by the supervisor of the gas truck that was filling up in the actual working gas production area behind this old building. He said that building itself was probably 50 or 60 years of age. All the equipment inside was defunct and that it hadn't been utilized in quite a long while. I think the architecture is very interesting with the tall windows and vent holes in the sides and the solid brick design. Beautiful on the inside and out! Like I said above, Meeker gave me a ton of material and I will be sharing it over the next week. #oklahoma #myoklahoma #exploreok #discoveroklahoma #okie #okielife #outdooroklahoma #oklahoman #igersok #travelok #oklahomalifestyle #OklahomaCity #oklahomaphotographer #oklahomaartist #oklahomaart #oklahomaartists #oklahomaphotographers #thisisoklahoma #okc #oklahomanature #meeker #meekeeok #meekeroklahoma #tahlequah #tahlequahoklahoma #okhistory #oklahomahistory (at Meeker Showpigs) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bxz0flah-0m/?igshid=jiqorcynr4w1
