The medley that would set Iwatobi and Samezuka's teams against each other was only two weeks away; yet, Rin shoulders heaved and dropped softly right in front of him, on his damp couch. None of their friends would have believed it if Haruka and Rin had told them they were going to skip morning training only to be together...

Rin hesitated again, flexing the fingers that weren’t holding the umbrella to keep from reaching out to grab Haru’s hands. He wondered what he was supposed to say.

This scene is from "Only Honest When It Rains" by @reinetteslonelyangel, which I got to paint as a part of @thenightpool's Medley minibang! It's a sweet and emotional little fic, give it a peek if you enjoy road trips with a side of queer angst🌧️

My idea for the MEDLEY! reverse bang was an underwater pose, but in space! I thought it might have been Rin's dream, which is why there are hints of swimsuits.

Luckily, being in the artist's seat meant that I didn't have to come up with the story behind the picture. I partnered with Dragon, who has written a beautiful fic called That Purple Trail!

My art for the @thenightpool 's Medley Bang with @adorafics ! It's a real thrilling and atmospheric Noir mystery, and I'm so honored to have helped inspire it!

Warm Me Up

Kisumi and Sousuke turned towards him with furrowed eyebrows and confused eyes. It was Sousuke who answered his questioning stare, “Do you like the guy or not? Make up your mind, Rin.” “What?! I don’t like Nanase’s presumptuous ass, I was just pointing out a fact.” Objectively, Rin could admit—to himself, very silently���that it was a nice looking ass, but a presumptuous one nonetheless. Or the Hidaka AU no one asked for, in which Rin never got into competitive swimming and he swears to God if Nanase looks up at him with stupidly blue eyes and infuriating little smirk again, he might just strangle the asshole.

It was so fun writing this and I have to thank my partner for giving me the most beautiful inspiration for it, I hope you enjoy!

Haruka was cold expressions and icy blue stares, while Rin was playful pranks and cheery laughs. Rin wanted to become friends and maybe even more, Haruka just wanted the pool to himself and to enjoy his mackerel in peace. Just why are they so different? Rin being a dog and Haruka being a cat might explain it. But in all of Rin’s five months of life, he had never seen any cats navigate the water as gracefully as that.
