i'm a short hair aisha truther though i do enjoy drawing her w/ longer hair sometimes. alec in my head always had, like, "forgor to cut his hair" mediumlong hair and "forgor to shave" scraps of teen guy baby mustache. i do regret not giving him a friendship bracelet to match with aisha though. i would guess vista doesn't wear green outside her cape outfit... the way I see it is, being "missy" is Playing A Role to her. hence she chooses clothing that supports the role + clothing she (12yo) thinks is Practical. and i can have one (1) sophia picrew. as a treat.

i love long fics! to me it's like... <5k is short, 5-15k is medium, 15-40k is mediumlong, and >40k is long. like flash fic, short story, novella, novel, lol, just scaled down a little. but the longer the better for me.

i sometimes hesitate w unfinished works bc i just do not have a long term memory and i worry i'll forget everything by the next update. but i still read them sometimes, esp if i like the author alreayd.

I agree with your rankings of short to long, that's also how I think of it. in general I like to read long-er fics, like +15k at least, because I know it'll make me FEEL things. anything sub 5k I assume is pwp which, while fine, isn't what I read fic for. when I say this one will be long I'm thinking maybe +30k if that.

I like to think I've built up enough good will in the wincest community by publishing at least one fic a month for like a year that if I did a WIP published sequentially, people would trust that I'd finish it, but I think the pressure of it would bug me. and I don't think I'd do it if it were ACTUALLY unfinished because, as discussed, I write non linearly and you have no idea how many times I've changed the beginning of a fic after writing the ending. I'd hate to have it set in stone

tldr I'll most likely just publish one long multi chapter fic all at once when it's done. short chapters are enough of a smooth-reading-break experience for me

Don’t mind me Imma just put down two longfic (or mediumlong idek) ideas for when my current blackmadhi one is done: 

- (The fluffy one; Blackmadhi and others) Phoenix and Miles are finally getting married!  Athena keeps prodding Simon about who his “plus one” will be, and he continually tells her to leave him alone but starts having to interact more and more with Nahyuta as they plan for Miles’ wedding.  Would also include Wrightworth (obv), Klapollo, Junithena, maybe Franmaya, and others idk.  Also Maya would be Phoenix’s “best woman” and Miles would have both Franziska and Gumshoe as his.  Debating on whether or not there would be full wedding parties, which would include basically the Wright Anything Agency on Phoenix’s side, and the main prosecutors on Miles’. 

(Also imagining Klav trying to be like “Herr Edgeworth’s bachelor party will be at this hip club” and Simon shushing him and saying they should go to some nerd thing with Steel Samurai shows.  Simon wins.)

- (The angsty, messed up one; Simon-centric, Phantomquill, maybe Blackmadhi but also others) Basically there are multiple phantoms - the organization that Simon’s Phantom was part of basically kidnaps and grooms new spies from a young age.  Said organization is not happy at all that Simon took down one of their best agents, and makes an effort to get their revenge.  They kidnap Simon by faking an attack on Nahyuta while he is visiting - knowing that since Nahyuta is a head of government, people will focus on him and leave Simon relatively alone.  But they aren’t interested in killing Simon; rather, they want to destroy him in other ways; they impersonate everyone in his life and psychologically torture him to the point where he can no longer tell who is real and what he actually feels.  

(Basically just torturing Simon psychologically because I like to hurt my faves apparently.  IDK MAN I’VE HAD THIS IDEA FOR A WHILE BUT IT IS SUPER FUCKED UP EVEN MORE IN MY HEAD like it is dark and idk we’ll see if I ever do it I love fucking with Simon apparently.)
