house doesn’t really care, his gender is “i just work here” but he does love to fuck with people. he caught onto “did you just assume my gender??” very early on and has NEVER let it go

wilson is like “no i didn’t assume your gender but i have to use SOME kind of pronouns for you because if i say your name any more often i’m going to get put on a LIST” [that one courtesy of my spouse]

house is like “actually i prefer amateur nouns” and wilson just starts making up neopronouns for him. including stuff like “cunt/cunts/cuntself” which house responds to without batting an eye.

genuinely i think house’s gender is “i don’t Mind this, transitioning is too much work, and being a man makes the world easier to navigate” but he does like to get a little funky with it from time to time. on special occasions (which could be anything from ‘cool party’ to ‘fuck with taub’ to ‘crack this patients egg.’)
