Tumblr media
Authored by Marina Zhang via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours),
A new review suggests that COVID vaccines "may trigger" rheumatic immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, including arthritis, vasculitis, lupus, and adult-onset Still's disease.
Tumblr media
On average, patients developed rheumatic diseases 11 days after vaccine administration, according to the study. Seventy-five (over 27 percent) of these patients experienced total disease remission, and about 50 percent improved following treatment. Eight were admitted to intensive care, and two died from their symptoms.
"The short time span between COVID-19 vaccine administration and the onset of R-IMIDs suggests the potential possibility of a cause-and-effect relationship," the authors wrote.
Rheumatic immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (R-IMIDs) involve inflammation that manifests in the joints, tendons, muscles, and bones due to an unknown cause.
The study, led by researchers from the National Health Service in the United Kingdom, examined 271 participants from 190 case studies published worldwide.
Over 80 percent of the patients developed symptoms after their first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and most were treated and improved with corticosteroids.
Almost 57 percent of the injured patients received the Pfizer vaccine, nearly a quarter received the AstraZeneca vaccine, and 12 percent of the rheumatic diseases manifested after the administration of the Moderna vaccine.
Reported Diseases
Rheumatic diseases may be less common than myocarditis, a known adverse event of COVID vaccination. A search on the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) found that over 3,000 cases of myocarditis have been reported after the COVID-19 vaccine, with over 2,300 cases of arthritis, over 370 cases of systemic lupus erythematosus, the most common type of lupus, and 280 cases of vasculitis. The following are rheumatic diseases that were included in this first-ever systematic review of new-onset R-MIDs after COVID vaccination.
Inflammation of Blood Vessels
Vasculitis was the most common rheumatic disease in the review, with 86 adverse events recorded. The more common vasculitis diseases affect the smaller blood vessels, causing red spots and lumps on the skin and possible organ damage. Medium and larger blood vessels can also be affected, causing tissue, muscle, and kidney damage.
One patient with inflammation in the larger blood vessels presented with fluid buildup in her lungs. Another developed inflammation in the arteries in his head and lost vision in his left eye due to reduced blood flow to his optical nerves.
Connective Tissue Diseases
Sixty-six cases of diseases affected the connective tissues. Diseases that fall under this category include lupus, an autoimmune disease affecting the skin, joints, and internal organs, and myositis and dermatomyositis, which manifest as muscle and tissue inflammation.
Two patients died of their conditions. One was a 44-year-old man who developed myositis, or muscle inflammation, and compartment syndrome in his limbs. Compartment syndrome is a painful and potentially fatal condition where pressure in muscles builds up. Another 62-year-old female died after developing diabetes and dermatomyositis, inflammation of both the skin and muscles, after getting the Pfizer vaccine.
Arthritis
Fifty-five patients developed arthritis after taking the vaccine, primarily manifesting in the knees, elbows, and ankles.
After treatment with steroids, most experienced some improvement in their symptoms, 12 went into remission, and two had persistent symptoms.
Adult-Onset Still's Disease
Twenty-two cases of adult-onset Still's disease were documented in the report. Symptoms of this rare disease include daily fever, arthritis in more than five joints, and salmon-pink rashes on the body. Six of these patients also developed cardiac problems, two of whom developed myocarditis and heart failure.
Five of the patients went into remission, while most experienced improvement in their conditions after being treated with steroids.
Other Diseases
Less common diseases include polymyalgia rheumatica, reported in 21 people. Symptoms of this disease include stiffness and inflammation in the shoulders, neck, and hips, and sarcoidosis, which occurs when inflamed tissues start to grow inside organs, causing tissue malfunction.
Molecular Mimicry Is the Leading Explanation
The authors noted the very short duration between vaccination and symptom onset, with 11 days being the average duration. This duration is similar to those found in other studies investigating myocarditis side effects after COVID-19 vaccines. The authors reasoned that the vaccine may have been a "trigger" for the rheumatoid diseases.
However, some of the patients might have been predisposed to rheumatic diseases, the authors reasoned. Additionally, some might have been predisposed to having a highly inflammatory response to mRNA vaccinations, leading to rheumatic symptoms like joint stiffness and inflammation.
Molecular mimicry, which occurs when the body mistakes foreign substances for its own and mounts an immune response, is the leading explanation for the development of these autoimmune diseases. The authors reasoned that vaccine adjuvants like aluminum may be structurally similar to human proteins. Therefore, the body might have mistaken self-tissue while attacking these adjuvants, perceived as foreign invaders.
However, many studies have shown that the spike proteins on the surface of the COVID-19 virus share structural similarities to human proteins. One study found that antibodies that reacted to spike protein could also react to nearly 30 different human tissues. If the spike proteins induced by the COVID-19 vaccines are similar to the original viral spike proteins, then the vaccine spike proteins may also trigger autoimmunity.
Another possibility is that mRNA vaccines may trigger the formation of inflammasomes. Inflammasomes are clusters of proteins that signal inflammation and viral elimination. This can also cause immune cells to become hyperactive and damage self-tissues in an attempt to clear the vaccine.
THIS is exactly what happened to me. I have RA and haven't felt good two days in a row since I took the JAB. Both shots made me very sick. After the second one my heart beat exhilarated to 130-140 BPM.
They had to crack my chest in order to slow my heart down and restore circulation to the upper chambers of my heart (myocardia). Six months after that my appendix died and went to gangrene before it ruptured. Right now my kidneys have only 55 percent function. I hope the people I leave behind can figure out a way to sue the makers of the Jab. The VA refuses to document it.

Robust Laravel Application Development - Lessons Learned
Introduction
Building a robust Laravel application that can scale, handle high traffic, and remain maintainable over time is not without its challenges. Over the years, developers and teams have encountered several common pitfalls and learned invaluable lessons while building and maintaining large-scale Laravel applications.
Tumblr media
Developing robust applications with Laravel requires careful planning, attention to detail, and adherence to best practices. It is also essential to have an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of secure and scalable architecture. This would ideally mean trusting a software development outsourcing company like Acquaint Softtech.
This article provides more information on the lessons learned from building robust Laravel applications. It focuses on best practices, common mistakes, and solutions to improve application scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.
Laravel Application Development
Tumblr media
Laravel has rapidly become one of the most popular PHP frameworks due to its expressive syntax, rich ecosystem, and developer-friendly features. With Laravel, developers can build modern web applications with ease, thanks to the abundance of built-in tools, comprehensive documentation, and support for modern PHP standards.
It is a powerful PHP framework that offers developers a structured and efficient way to build web applications. There are many reasons why Laravel is the ideal web framework. It has an elegant syntax, follows the MVC architecture, and has a special Blade templating engine.
Besides this, Laravel also eliminates the need to build an authentication system from scratch since it is in-built. The special object-relational mapping, Eloquent CRM helps simplify the database operations.
But that's not all. Not only does Laravel have good features to build a robust solution, but it also has the necessary tools and features to help you test it. Testing, debugging, and validation are highly simplified with Lararel. It allows the use of special test tools like PHPUnit and PEST.
Here are a few interesting statistics:
2706 of the Laravel powered websites are from the Web Development sector. (6sense)
Over 303,718 Americans use Laravel, while this figure is 54,648 in the United Kingdom and 31,053 in Russia. (BuiltWith)
As data collected in 2024, 7.9% of developers use the Laravel framework worldwide while 4.7% use Ruby on Rails, 3.2% use Symfony framework and 1.7% use Codeigniter.
Node.js is one of the most popular with 40.8% using it; React comes close second at 39.5%
Lessons Learned
Tumblr media
Understand the MVC Architecture Thoroughly : Lesson 1
Laravel adheres to the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture, which separates the application logic from the user interface. This separation is critical for building scalable and maintainable applications. One of the key lessons learned from working with Laravel is that a deep understanding of the MVC architecture is essential for building a robust application.
Model: Represents the data layer and handles business logic.
View: The user interface that the end-user interacts with.
Controller: Mediates between the Model and the View, processing user requests and sending the appropriate response.
A common mistake is allowing business logic to seep into the controller or view. This breaks the MVC pattern, making the application harder to maintain and test. Adhering to strict separation of concerns ensures that each application part can be developed, tested, and maintained independently.
Key Takeaway: Always ensure that business logic resides in models or services, controllers handle user requests, and views strictly present data without containing any application logic.
Use Eloquent ORM Effectively : Lesson 2
Laravel's built-in Object Relational Mapping (ORM) tool (Eloquent) provides a simple and elegant way to interact with the database. However, improper use of Eloquent can lead to performance issues, especially in large applications with complex database queries.
Common Mistakes: N+1 Query Problem: The N+1 problem occurs when a query retrieves a list of items but then executes additional queries to fetch related items for each entry. This can lead to hundreds of unnecessary database queries. To avoid this, Laravel offers the with() method for eager loading relationships.
php code
// Bad
$posts = Post::all();
foreach ($posts as $post) {
echo $post->author->name;
}
// Good (Using eager loading)
$posts = Post::with('author')->get();
foreach ($posts as $post) {
echo $post->author->name;
}
Mass Assignment Vulnerabilities: Laravel's MassAssignment allows you to bulk insert or update data in the database. However, safeguarding against mass assignment can expose your application to vulnerabilities. Developers should always use $fillable or $guarded properties in their models to protect against mass assignment.
php  code
// Protecting against mass assignment
protected $fillable = ['title', 'content', 'author_id'];
Solutions: Always use eager loading to avoid the N+1 problem.
Define fillable attributes to protect against mass assignment.
Avoid complex queries in models. Instead, use Query Builder for more advanced database interactions that Eloquent struggles with.
Key Takeaway: Use Eloquent for simple CRUD operations, but be mindful of performance concerns and security risks. When necessary, fall back on Laravel’s Query Builder for complex queries.
Service Layer for Business Logic : Lesson 3
As Laravel applications grow, keeping controllers slim and models focused on data becomes increasingly important. This is where the service layer comes in. Service classes allow developers to isolate business logic from controllers and models, making the application more modular and easier to test.
Example:
Instead of handling user registration logic in the controller, a service class can be created to handle it.
PHP code
// In the UserController
public function store(UserRequest $request)
{
$this->userService->registerUser($request->all());
}
// In UserService
public function registerUser(array $data)
{
$user = User::create($data);
// Other business logic related to registration
}
This pattern makes it easier to maintain, test, and scale the application as business logic becomes more complex.
Key Takeaway: Introduce a service layer early on for business logic to improve code organization and maintainability.
Prioritize Security at Every Step : Lesson 4
Security is a fundamental aspect of building a robust Laravel application. One of the lessons learned from years of Laravel development is that security should not be an afterthought. Laravel provides many built-in security features, but it’s up to developers to use them correctly.
Key Security Practices:
Sanitize Input: Always sanitize user inputs to prevent XSS (Cross-Site Scripting) and SQL injection attacks. Laravel automatically escapes output in Blade templates, which helps protect against XSS. For SQL injection protection, always use Eloquent or Query Builder.
Use CSRF Protection: Laravel automatically protects against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) by including a CSRF token in forms. Developers must ensure that CSRF protection is not disabled unintentionally.
Authentication and Authorization: Laravel offers built-in authentication and authorization mechanisms through policies, gates, and middleware. Use them to control access to resources and ensure users have the necessary permissions.
Password Hashing: Always store user passwords using Laravel’s Hash facade, which uses bcrypt by default. Avoid storing plain-text passwords in the database.
PHP
$user->password = Hash::make($request->password);
Rate Limiting: To prevent brute force attacks, implement rate limiting using Laravel’s RateLimiter facade.
Secure API Development: When building APIs, use OAuth2 or Laravel Sanctum for token-based authentication. Also, rate limiting for API endpoints should be implemented to prevent abuse.
Key Takeaway: Leverage Laravel's built-in security features and be proactive in identifying potential vulnerabilities.
Lesson 5: Cache Strategically for Performance
Caching is critical for improving the performance of Laravel applications, especially as they scale. Laravel supports various caching mechanisms, including file, database, Redis, and Memcached.
Best Practices for Caching:
Cache Expensive Queries: If your application frequently runs heavy queries, consider caching the results to reduce the load on the database.
PHP code
$users = Cache::remember('users', 60, function () {
return User::all();
});
Route Caching: Laravel provides a route:cache Artisan command to cache all routes in your application. This can significantly improve the performance of larger applications.
Bash CODE
php artisan route:cache
View Caching: Similarly, views can be cached to avoid unnecessary recompilation.
Bash CODE
php artisan view:cache
Optimize Configuration Loading: Use config:cache to combine all configuration files into a single file, reducing the time it takes to load configurations during requests.
bash CODE
php artisan config:cache
Key Takeaway: Use caching strategically to optimize performance and reduce server load, especially for database-heavy applications.
Optimize Database Interactions : Lesson 6
Efficient database interaction is critical for building scalable Laravel applications. Poorly optimized queries or over-reliance on ORM abstractions can lead to performance bottlenecks.
Best Practices for Database Optimization:
Database Indexing: Ensure that frequently queried columns are indexed. Laravel’s migration system supports creating indexes with ease.
php code
Schema::table('users', function (Blueprint $table) {
$table->index('email');
});
Avoid SELECT * Queries: Always specify the columns you need in a query. Fetching all columns unnecessarily increases the load on the database and memory usage.
php  code
$users = User::select('id', 'name', 'email')->get();
Use Pagination: For large datasets, always paginate results rather than fetching everything at once.
php code
$users = User::paginate(15);
Database Query Profiling: Use Laravel’s built-in query log to identify slow queries. You can enable query logging with the following code:
php code
DB::enableQueryLog();
Key Takeaway: Optimize database queries by using indexes, avoiding unnecessary data fetching, and employing efficient pagination techniques.
Test Your Application : Lesson 7
Testing is a crucial aspect of robust Laravel application development. Laravel comes with PHPUnit integration, making it easy to write unit tests, feature tests, and browser tests. However, many developers tend to skip or neglect testing due to time constraints, which often leads to bugs and regressions.
Testing Best Practices:
Unit Tests: Unit tests focus on testing individual components or methods. They are fast and reliable but don’t cover the whole application flow.
php code
public function testUserCreation()
{
$user = User::factory()->create();
$this->assertDatabaseHas('users', ['email' => $user->email]);
}
Feature Tests: Feature tests allow you to test the entire application flow, from requests to responses. They ensure that the application behaves as expected in real-world scenarios.
php  code
public function testUserRegistration()
{
$response = $this->post('/register', [
'name' => 'John Doe',
'email' => '[email protected]',
'password' => 'secret',
'password_confirmation' => 'secret',
]);
$response->assertStatus(302);
$this->assertDatabaseHas('users', ['email' => '[email protected]']);
}
Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests with a continuous integration (CI) tool such as GitHub Actions or Travis CI. This ensures that your tests are automatically run whenever new code is pushed, preventing broken code from being deployed.
Key Takeaway: Always write tests for critical application components and workflows to ensure stability and reliability.
Prioritize Code Maintainability and Readability : Lesson 8
Laravel is known for its elegant syntax and developer-friendly structure, but as the application grows, maintaining clean and readable code becomes challenging.
Best Practices for Maintainability:
Follow PSR Standards: Laravel encourages following the PHP-FIG’s PSR standards, such as PSR-2 for coding style and PSR-4 for autoloading. Following these standards ensures that your codebase remains consistent and easy to navigate.
Use Named Routes: Using named routes instead of hard-coded URLs makes it easier to manage changes in the URL structure.
php code
Route::get('/user/profile', 'UserProfileController@show')->name('profile');
Refactor Regularly: As the application evolves, refactor code regularly to avoid technical debt. Use Laravel’s php artisan make:command to create custom Artisan commands that automate repetitive tasks.
Comment and Document: Clear comments and documentation help other developers (or even yourself in the future) understand the purpose of the code. Use Laravel’s DocBlocks to document classes, methods, and variables.
Key Takeaway: Invest in code quality by following coding standards, refactoring regularly, and documenting thoroughly.
Leverage Laravel’s Ecosystem : Lesson 9
Laravel has an extensive ecosystem that can simplify development and add powerful features to your application. Leveraging this ecosystem can save Laravel application development time and reduce complexity.
Key Laravel Tools and Packages:
Laravel Horizon: Provides a dashboard and tools to monitor queues and jobs in real-time.
Laravel Echo: Integrates WebSockets and real-time broadcasting capabilities into Laravel applications.
Laravel Telescope: A debugging assistant that allows you to monitor requests, queries, exceptions, logs, and more.
Laravel Sanctum: API authentication using tokens is especially useful for single-page applications (SPAs).
Laravel Vapor: A serverless deployment platform for Laravel that enables you to deploy Laravel applications on AWS Lambda without managing infrastructure.
Key Takeaway: Use Laravel’s ecosystem of tools and packages to extend your application’s capabilities and streamline development.
Prepare for Scalability : Lesson 10
As your Laravel application grows, you need to ensure that it can scale to handle increased traffic and data.
Key Scalability Considerations:
Horizontally Scale Your Database: As your user base grows, consider using database replication to scale horizontally. Laravel supports multiple database connections and read-write splitting.
Use Job Queues: Offload time-consuming tasks (such as sending emails or processing files) to queues. Laravel’s queue system supports drivers like Redis, Beanstalkd, and Amazon SQS.
Optimize Load Balancing: For high-traffic applications, consider using a load balancer to distribute incoming traffic across multiple application servers.
Containerization: Use Docker to containerize your Laravel application. Containerization ensures that your application can run consistently across various environments and can be scaled easily using orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Key Takeaway: Plan for scalability from the start by using job queues, load balancing, and database replication.
Use Configuration and Environment Management Properly : Lesson 11
Lesson: Mismanaged environment configurations can lead to security and stability issues.
Practice: Store sensitive configurations like database credentials, API keys, and service configurations in .env files. Utilize Laravel’s configuration caching (config:cache) for production environments.
Tip: Regularly audit .env files and restrict sensitive data from being logged or committed to version control.
Some of the other lessons learned from developing a robust Laravel solution include that it has Artisan. This allows one to use a command line tool, Artisan, that can automate repetitive tasks. This serves the purpose of accelerating the development process. It is possible to simplify the process of managing the packages with the help of 'Composer'. API development is a breeze with Laravel since it has in-built support for RESTful APIs.

The Importance of Forex Regulatory Bodies
The Importance of Forex Regulatory Bodies The foreign exchange (forex) market is the largest and most liquid financial market in the world, with daily trading volumes exceeding $6 trillion. Given its size and decentralized nature, the forex market is susceptible to various risks, including fraud, manipulation, and unethical practices. This is where forex regulatory bodies play a crucial role. These organizations are responsible for overseeing and regulating the forex market to ensure its integrity, transparency, and fairness. This article explores the importance of forex regulatory bodies and their impact on the market.To get more news about forex regulatory, you can visit our official website.
Ensuring Market Integrity One of the primary functions of forex regulatory bodies is to maintain market integrity. They achieve this by setting and enforcing rules and standards that all market participants must follow. These regulations help prevent fraudulent activities, such as price manipulation and insider trading, which can undermine the trust and stability of the market. For instance, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the National Futures Association (NFA) are responsible for regulating forex trading in the United States, ensuring that brokers and traders adhere to strict ethical standards.
Protecting Investors Investor protection is another critical aspect of forex regulation. Regulatory bodies implement measures to safeguard retail traders from unscrupulous brokers and fraudulent schemes. This includes requiring brokers to be licensed and registered, conducting regular audits, and ensuring that they maintain adequate capital reserves. In the European Union, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has introduced stringent regulations to protect investors, such as leverage limits and negative balance protection. These measures help create a safer trading environment for retail investors.
Promoting Transparency Transparency is essential for the proper functioning of the forex market. Regulatory bodies promote transparency by requiring brokers to provide clear and accurate information about their services, fees, and trading conditions. This allows traders to make informed decisions and compare different brokers effectively. For example, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the United Kingdom mandates that brokers disclose their financial statements and any conflicts of interest. Such transparency helps build trust between brokers and traders, fostering a more reliable market.
Enhancing Market Stability Forex regulatory bodies also play a vital role in enhancing market stability. By monitoring and supervising the activities of market participants, they can identify and address potential risks before they escalate. This proactive approach helps prevent systemic issues that could disrupt the market. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), for instance, closely monitors the financial health of brokers and takes corrective actions when necessary to ensure market stability.
Facilitating Dispute Resolution Disputes between traders and brokers are inevitable in the forex market. Regulatory bodies provide mechanisms for resolving these disputes fairly and efficiently. They offer mediation and arbitration services to help parties reach amicable solutions without resorting to lengthy and costly legal proceedings. The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) is known for its effective dispute resolution framework, which has helped resolve numerous conflicts between traders and brokers.
Adapting to Technological Advancements The forex market is constantly evolving, driven by technological advancements and changing market dynamics. Regulatory bodies must adapt to these changes to remain effective. This includes updating regulations to address new trading technologies, such as algorithmic trading and cryptocurrencies. By staying ahead of technological trends, regulatory bodies can continue to protect market participants and ensure the market’s integrity. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is a prime example of a regulator that has embraced innovation while maintaining robust oversight.
Conclusion In conclusion, forex regulatory bodies are indispensable for the proper functioning of the forex market. They ensure market integrity, protect investors, promote transparency, enhance market stability, facilitate dispute resolution, and adapt to technological advancements. Without these regulatory bodies, the forex market would be vulnerable to fraud, manipulation, and systemic risks. Therefore, it is essential for traders to understand the role of these organizations and choose brokers that are regulated by reputable authorities. By doing so, they can trade with confidence and contribute to a fair and transparent forex market.

The Invisible Hand
Back in the late 1700's a man by the name of Adam Smith in a book he wrote entitled, the Wealth of Nations, gave a name, "The Invisible Hand", to a system, a god, that had existed since the dawn of time. Known imperfectly throughout history, mankind still benefited from this god's benevolence every time goods and services exchanged hands peaceably, rather than through war, violence and coercion. First sheaves of wheat could be traded for clay pots, or barrels of fish; later these same sheaves of wheat could be traded for currency, which didn't depend upon the particular needs of potters or fishmongers to determine value. Every time something is, has, or will ever be traded, this god's activities are made manifest.
However, like every system on earth, as soon as man realized that he could exploit it, distortions resulted from this exploitation. In Ancient Rome, "Bread and Circuses", became the way a ruler could distract his people from problems that plagued their everyday existence. It was a market trade-off in distraction, but at some point the cost of maintaining the expense of these distractions could no longer be maintained, and the Empire that used these tactics fell into disarray and dissolution.
We currently live in a society that has raised this "Invisible Hand" to heights unprecedented in history. We have sects with their own priesthoods: Capitalists advocate for completely unmediated restraints on market manipulation, while Communists advocate for total restraint, with only government manipulation allowed. None of this is seen to be mediated in any way by an even higher power, by none other than God who established these processes and mechanisms that would enable us to engage with one another peaceably.
I remember the first time I heard, "Greed is good", I thought to myself that it was an oversimplification of a very complex issue. Maybe fine for a bumper sticker, but certainly not something anyone would take seriously. Enlightened self interest does lead to good outcomes. Every creature in the animal kingdom seeks to avoid pain and death, and seeks to acquire food and shelter. That greed could be seen as the greatest good, a moral absolute in it's own right, unmediated by the grace of God who made this gift possible seemed bizarre. What's really disheartening is hearing Christians passionately argue that Capitalism is God given in the same sense as God IS Capitalism.
To suppress the invisible hand is to deny reality. Many communes, and even countries have tried to find a better way to produce and distribute goods and services to those who need them outside of using the principles outlined by Adam Smith. These societies almost universally fall apart because of unmitigated human selfishness. They are frequently run by authoritarian leaders, and are characterized by rampant slothfulness, and hording. Inflation in the Soviet Union could be measured by the length of lines that formed for the acquisition of goods. Rather than exchanging time for productive work that produced a product and a wage that could be used to purchase a good or service; time was spent in a line, producing nothing.
The Invisible Hand is a God given creation, it cannot be denied, but must be constrained by the "Good God, who loves mankind".
Much of modern intelligentsia loves to blame the modern American "Consumer Culture" for the ills in our society. The problem with that assertion is that the consumer can only buy what is produced. My favorite example is that nobody can buy a house that hasn't been built. But other examples abound. Hot dog buns are sold in units of 8, while hot dogs are sold in units of 12. Printer companies sell a different printer every year, and jack up the prices of printer cartridges in prior models. Smart phones are almost required, you can't park a car in my town without using an app to register a parking payment. Manufactured obsolescence means that goods that could be cared for and maintained for ten years historically, must now be replaced every five; and repairs cost more now because instead of resoldering a wire on an electrical device, whole modules must be replaced and the old ones tossed out into ever growing landfills. Grocery stores no longer use dumpsters, but rather use trash compactors to prevent perfectly decent food from being scavenged away. Healthy food is filled with additives to increase profits, and sometimes to encourage addiction, resulting in an ever diminishing quality of food, making all of us sicker. Monthly subscriptions for various services has become almost ubiquitous. Our entire society practically forces paid consumption - forces it. We are not a consumer society, we are a PRODUCER SOCIETY. Government statistics measures GNP, Nothing must prevent the ever increasing production of goods. And heaven forbid if prices or consumer confidence drops.
It is always characteristic of the "haves" to blame the "have nots", the disenfranchised, for their issues. Corporations, in their unmediated quest for profit, takes advantage of the consumer. First, they do everything they can to minimize costs, polluting their environments, that then need to be cleaned up by the very same consumers that bought their products. No longer are goods priced at cost plus 30%; rather, market research pin-points the precise pain point that limits the price most customers will spend for goods and services, and uses that for guidance, pocketing the excess as "profit". And don't even get me started as to how most of these consumers earn their living. They are disrespected by both their bosses, and by their customers.
"Consumers" are disrespected by producers, manipulated by them through advertising, exploited, tricked, coerced, and blamed for the rise and fall of economies. They are seen as nothing more than pawns and marks. Do not tell me that the individual consumer has any control over any of this.
Contrary to the assertion that the modern American consumer experience is that of freedom, it is an experience of bondage to a vast array of powers greater than ones own. Governments - federal, state, and local, Corporations, policies, laws, rules, regulations, even HOAs. All designed to make the individual feel small, unimportant and powerless. It is no wonder that societal rage is on the rise.
In the first Century there was a movement in Palistine that preached a message of freedom in a world of exploitation by the principalities and powers of the age. The cost of following this message to those who followed "The Way" was extremely steep, persecution and death in many cases. Yet this movement grew, in spite of the negative market forces weighed against it. People heard this message, heard the testimony about the one who had stood up to the bullies of heavenly and earthly power, and came out of the ordeal glorified.
That is the God that motivates.
We need fewer apologetics defending a God in the mold of Capitalist exploitation, a corporate middle manager, or worse - a CEO. He is not a God that offers any kind of redemption. We need more evangelists looking outside of our self imposed silo Churches preaching of a God better then the fallen world around us. Better than that world, and able to transform it.
It's NOT the consumer, it's almost never the consumer, it's the product. No amount of advertising in the world will redeem a subpar product.
A man can't buy a house that's not being sold, and he's not obligated to buy the one that is.
Glory to God, the maker of heaven and earth and all things therein. Have Mercy upon me, A Sinner.

Navigating Harmony: The Role of Family Mediation Services in the UK
In the intricate tapestry of family life, conflicts and disputes can sometimes unravel the strongest bonds. In the United Kingdom, Family Mediation Services play a pivotal role in helping families weave those bonds back together, providing a structured and supportive environment for resolving conflicts amicably. These services are instrumental in fostering communication, understanding, and ultimately, maintaining the fabric of family relationships.
Tumblr media
Family Mediation Services act as a neutral third party, facilitating open and constructive dialogue among family members facing disputes, whether it be related to divorce, child custody, inheritance, or other familial issues. This alternative dispute resolution method has gained prominence in recent years due to its effectiveness in fostering collaboration and reducing the emotional and financial toll associated with lengthy court battles.
One of the key benefits of family mediation is its voluntary nature. Families can opt for mediation willingly, allowing them to have greater control over the resolution process. In contrast to court proceedings, mediation empowers individuals to voice their concerns, needs, and preferences in a less adversarial setting. Trained mediators guide the conversation, ensuring that all parties have an equal opportunity to express themselves.
Moreover, Family Mediation Services UK focuses on the best interests of children when parents are navigating the challenges of separation or divorce. Mediators work to create a child-focused environment, considering the emotional and practical needs of the children involved. This approach helps parents develop mutually agreeable parenting plans, fostering a stable and supportive environment for the children amidst family transitions.
In addition to its voluntary nature and child-focused approach, family mediation is known for its efficiency. Court processes can be lengthy and costly, whereas mediation offers a more time-efficient and cost-effective solution. Families can often resolve their issues in a few sessions, saving both time and resources while mitigating the emotional toll that extended legal battles can bring.
The United Kingdom recognizes the importance of Family Mediation Services and actively encourages their use. Legal professionals, including solicitors and judges, often recommend mediation as a first step in resolving family disputes. The government has also taken steps to promote awareness about mediation services, highlighting their benefits and accessibility.
It's essential to note that while family mediation can address a wide range of issues, it may not be suitable for every situation. Cases involving domestic violence or situations where there is a significant power imbalance may not be appropriate for mediation. In such cases, the safety and well-being of the individuals involved take precedence, and alternative legal avenues may be explored.
In conclusion, Online Family Mediation Services in the UK serve as a vital bridge to resolution in times of familial discord. By fostering open communication, focusing on the best interests of children, and providing a voluntary and efficient alternative to court proceedings, mediation plays a crucial role in preserving the fabric of family relationships. In a society that values harmony and collaboration, these services continue to be a beacon of hope for families navigating the complexities of conflict and seeking a path toward reconciliation.

Genetic engineering is a scientific tool that is utilised in a wide range of fields, including plant, animal, and human sciences. Plant genetic engineering has revolutionised plant science, with the first generation of transgenic crops being the most widely accepted technique in contemporary agriculture. However, genetic engineering has certain limits, and new methods are still needed to address difficulties such as gene stacking, transgene location effects, and insertion-site complexity. Because of the plasticity of the genome in plants compared to other taxa and the ability to manipulate and analyse such chromosomes throughout the life cycle and at various stages of development, engineered minichromosomes, also known as artificial chromosomes or synthetic chromosomes, are likely to have numerous applications in both basic and applied research. A minichromosome is a very tiny form of a chromosome either through de novo synthesis utilising cloned chromosome components or by telomere-mediated truncation of endogenous chromosomes.

Canadian Diplomats to be Evacuated from violence-stricken Sudan
Canadian diplomats in Sudan will be evacuated amid intensifying violence between the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support statement released by Global Affairs Canada on Sunday. “The situation in Sudan has rapidly deteriorated impossible to safeguard the safety and security of our staff in Khartoum,” the statement reads. “After consulting with Canada’s ambassador to Sudan, the decision has been made to temporarily suspend our operations in Sudan.” The statement also explained that Canadian diplomats will work outside with the Sudanese government, neighboring countries, and the international community. All parties will work on a coordinated response to help Canadians still inside Sudan’s borders. This decision follows a more extensive trend of international diplomats being evacuated from the war-stricken region. Two weeks ago, Sudan erupted over a planned transition to democratic rule, intensifying deep-rooted conflict between the RSF and SAF. The fighting between these two factions resulted from the two commanders’ unwillingness to relinquish their power despite promises of new elections by the end of 2023. They killed more than 400 people since April 15. Last Thursday, Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly said there were no means of evacuating Canadians from Sudan as Khartoum was inaccessible. According to Global Affairs Canada, there are 1,596 Canadians known to be in Sudan. However, since registration is voluntary, the exact number remains unknown. “We urge all parties to agree to an immediate ceasefire and to engage in mediation efforts supported by regional partners that promote dialogue and a lasting peace,” Global Affairs Canada’s statement said. “Canada remains committed to supporting the people of Sudan in their desire to secure a democratic future and a peaceful transition to a civilian-led government.” On Saturday, United States President Joe Biden announced that the U.S. military had carried out of embassy personnel in Sudan, calling the rising violence “unconscionable” and thanking American troops for safe extraction. Diplomats were airlifted and transported to an undisclosed location by officials. On Twitter, United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced that U.K. armed forces have evacuated British diplomats and their families. “I pay tribute to the commitment of our diplomats and bravery of the military personnel who carried out this difficult operation,” Sunak tweeted Sunday. As international diplomats continue to assess the changing situation in Sudan, Global Affairs Canada recognizes the need to offer service and security for Canadians affected by the violence. “The Canadian embassy will resume operations in Khartoum as soon as the situation in Sudan allows us to guarantee proper service and the safety and security for our staff,” the statement says.

Types of Construction Law in the UK
Construction Contract Law: Construction contract law governs the formation, interpretation, and enforcement of contracts between parties involved in construction projects. These contracts can include procurement contracts, design contracts, construction contracts, and professional services agreements. Construction contract law addresses issues such as payment terms, performance obligations, delays and extensions, warranties, and liability.
Planning and Development Law: Planning and development law regulates the process by which land is used and developed. It encompasses a range of issues, including zoning and land use regulations, environmental impact assessments, building regulations, and planning permission. Planning and development law is important in the construction industry because it sets the legal framework for construction projects, including requirements for obtaining permits and complying with building codes and environmental regulations.
Health and Safety Law: Health and safety law governs the legal obligations of employers and employees to maintain a safe and healthy workplace. In the construction industry, health and safety law is particularly important due to the high-risk nature of construction work. Health and safety regulations cover issues such as the use of personal protective equipment, the handling of hazardous materials, and the prevention of accidents and injuries on construction sites.
Environmental Law: Environmental law regulates the impact of construction projects on the natural environment. It covers issues such as air and water pollution, waste management, and the protection of biodiversity. Environmental law is important in the construction industry because construction projects can have significant environmental impacts, both during the construction phase and after the project is completed.
Dispute Resolution Law: Dispute resolution law governs the legal processes by which disputes between parties involved in construction projects are resolved. Disputes can arise from a variety of issues, such as delays, defects, and breaches of contract. Dispute resolution mechanisms can include negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
In addition to the types of construction law mentioned above, there are other legal areas that can impact the construction industry in the UK, including:
Insurance Law Insurance: law governs the legal obligations of parties to obtain and maintain insurance coverage for construction projects. Insurance coverage can include professional indemnity insurance, public liability insurance, and employer's liability insurance. Insurance law is important in the construction industry because it can provide financial protection against potential losses and liabilities.
Contract Law: Contract law is the general legal framework that governs the formation, interpretation, and enforcement of contracts in all industries, including construction. While construction contract law is a specialized subset of contract law, general contract law principles still apply in construction projects.
Intellectual Property Law: Intellectual property law governs the legal rights and protections of intellectual property, such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights. In the construction industry, intellectual property law can be relevant to issues such as ownership of design drawings and specifications, protection of proprietary information, and licensing of intellectual property rights.
Employment Law: Employment law regulates the legal rights and obligations of employers and employees in the workplace. In the construction industry, employment law can be relevant to issues such as the classification of workers as employees or independent contractors, compliance with minimum wage laws, and the protection of workers' rights to a safe and healthy workplace.
In summary, construction law in the UK is a multifaceted legal field that covers a wide range of legal issues relevant to the construction industry. Understanding the different types of construction law is important for parties involved in construction projects to ensure compliance with legal requirements, minimize legal risks, and protect their legal rights and interests.
Conclusion:
Construction law in the United Kingdom is a complex and specialized area of law that encompasses a wide range of legal issues relevant to the construction industry. Understanding the different types of construction law is important for parties involved in construction projects to ensure compliance with legal requirements and to protect their legal rights and interests.

BBC 0430 7 May 2024
12095Khz 0358 7 MAY 2024 - BBC (UNITED KINGDOM) in ENGLISH from TALATA VOLONONDRY. SINPO = 55445. English, dead carrier s/on @0358z with ID@0359z pips and Newsday preview. @0401z World News anchored by David Harper. Israel's army has said it has conducted "targeted strikes" against Hamas in eastern Rafah, after rejecting Hamas's agreement to a ceasefire deal. Armed factions in Gaza fired rockets into southern Israel in response. Hamas had earlier said it would accept a ceasefire deal drawn up by Egyptian mediators. It was however rejected by Israel as "far from meeting" its "core demands". It is not clear exactly what Hamas has agreed to, but the proposal is thought to include the release of hostages and the return of displaced Palestinians within Gaza. Israel's war cabinet voted to continue operations but is however sending a delegation to indirect talks in Cairo. For the fifth time Vladimir Putin will be taking the long walk through the Grand Kremlin Palace to the St Andrew's Throne Hall. There he will take the oath of office and be sworn in as Russia's president for a new six-year term. Twenty-four years on, the Kremlin leader is waging war against Ukraine; a war in which Russia has suffered heavy losses. At home, instead of developing democracy, President Putin has been curtailing it: jailing critics, removing all checks and balances on his power. A US Army soldier stationed in South Korea has been detained in Russia, the US military says. Staff Sgt Gordon Black is accused of stealing from a woman, reports the BBC's US partner CBS. He was not on official travel when he was held on 2 May in the city of Vladivostok, in Russia's far east. Rescue efforts were underway after three people were killed and dozens remained trapped after a multi-storey building under construction collapsed in the South African city of George. Twenty-four people were rescued from the site and sent to hospitals, the municipality of George, a coastal city east of Cape Town, said in a statement on Tuesday. Fifty-one people remained trapped, according to a statement from the municipality of George. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Tuesday it was unacceptable for Australian defence personnel to be put at risk in international airspace by the Chinese military as they took part in an operation to enforce United Nations sanctions on North Korea. A Chinese fighter jet endangered an Australian military helicopter during an unsafe and unacceptable confrontation over the Yellow Sea, Australia said on Monday. The Chinese air force J-10 jet dropped flares above and several hundred meters ahead of an Australian MH60R Seahawk helicopter on a routine flight on Saturday in the Yellow Sea as part of an operation to enforce sanctions against North Korea, Defence Minister Richard Marles said on Monday evening. In a television interview, Albanese said China had not yet responded publicly to Australia's representations over the incident. The US has opened a new inquiry into troubled jet firm Boeing, after the company told air safety regulators that it might not have properly inspected its 787 Dreamliner planes. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said it would look into whether staff had falsified records. It said Boeing was reinspecting all 787 jets still on the manufacturing line. Boeing will be forced to develop an "action plan" to address concerns about planes already in service, it added. @0406z "Newsday" begins.
