ᝰ.ᐟ NCT DREAM as CIGARETTES AFTER SEX songs

a/n: soo I'm back with another DREAM as CAS songs this time 🫂 I really hope ya'll are going to love this too...♡
also i would like to add that in this post there may be mentions of toxicity, BUT i have no intention saying that person is toxic.
as always, enjoy! ♡

𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ MARK as Heavenly.
Mark is a passionate person. As in music, in his profession, he loves giving his all into his work. Satisfaction rarely reaches his mind whenever he's done with whatever he's doing though. Beside work,he rarely has time for anything else, but nevertheless, his soul aches for a heartwarming love. True love. The song tells us about a person longing for a long and deep connections with somebody else. Mark needs that in his everyday life. Needing a partners love and affection whenever he gets home from a hard day of work, or whenever he has a hard time dealing with the feelings in his heart, waiting for someone to pour his heart out to.
For MARK I would also give Kiss It Off Me.

𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ RENJUN as Each Time You Fall In Love.
Renjun is someone who fears getting hurt over and over again. The song tells about a person repeating the same mistakes they have done in a relationship, not learning the consecquences. He is someone who is blinded by love, only seeing the perfect perks his partner has, overlooking the flaws. He ends up being confused and longing for something real, something permanent in his life.

𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ JENO as Dark Vacay.
Jeno would end up in a turbulent relationship. Not because his intentions are bad, but because he feels like his feelings are the main leak of the relationship problems. The song tells about suggest the protagonist a sense of escapism and self-destructive behaviour, such as running to alcohol, or other intoxicating relations. The song ultimately symbolizes the crasing, and falling feeling of not having, or rather being able to keep a healthy relationship.

𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ HAECHAN as Tejano Blue.
Haechan ultimately gives bittersweet love. Although, when he is with the right person, receives all the love in the world, he cherises that through everything. He appreciates what his partner gvies to him, returning everything he has every got from them. He longes for a deep and meaningful love, filled with precious memories. The song tells that the color blue, repsresents melancholy and longing. When Haechan finds the one, he searches with them for the everlasting bond and desire.

𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ JAEMIN as Nothing's Gonna Hurt You Baby.
Loving Jaemin offers nothing more but warmth and reassurence. He is there for his partner 100% , through good and bad, the love he gives lasts forever until he lives. The song tells about moments of romance between the couple, including whispering something in each other's ears and dancing together in the living room. Their love creating a bubble around them, representing that nothing can come between them. Loving Jaemin feels like this song.
For JAEMIN would also give Holding You, Holding Me.

𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ CHENLE as Sesame Syrup and Crush.
Being together with Chenle can be overwhelming. For him, and to his partner too. The type of love he gives is deep, and meaningful. Crush tells about the depths and lengths of how far he's willing to go, almost becoming a toxic feeling. Sesame Syrup appears to be about a relationship between two individuals who have a strong sexual attraction towards one another. In a relationship with him, both worlds could collide easily.

𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ JISUNG as Starry Eyes.
Jisung, as we know, loves the stars and the universe. It's inevitable, that he falls in love with someone who has stars in their eyes. He falls deeply, and quickly, almost instantly. The song tells about the feeling of a person's captivating, and enchanting personality and appearence. The lyrics indicate that the singer feels a deep sense of loneliness without this person and that they are the only one who can make them feel complete. Jisung would write a song like this, telling about the intensity of his love, the unwavering feeling he has whenever he is with his partner.
For JISUNG would also give Dreaming Of You.
important!: this is pure fiction, the act in this story is by my imagination and not based off true events. please do not copy the work.

PETRO AND BPD
I've wanted to write a post on how Petro is BPD-Coded, at least, to me. I found a lot of his writing very relatable and nuanced, especially when it comes to abuse and mental illness. I wanted to make a post detailing that, and why I see him as someone who has BPD.
Note: I am not officially diagnosed with BPD. While I have heavy suspicions I have it, a few things may be inaccurate. Do not take this as a be-all for everyone with this disorder, and do your own research.
So, to start, let's go over a few key symptoms of BPD, and a few brief summary of it:
A mental disorder characterized by unstable moods, behavior, and relationships.
Symptoms include emotional instability, feelings of worthlessness, insecurity, impulsivity, and impaired social relationships.
More symptoms listed below, with more detail:
Mood swings: Extreme mood swings that can last from hours to days
Unstable self-image: A sense of self that is unstable and distorted
Rapidly changing values: Values and interests that change quickly
Extreme thinking: Viewing things in extremes, such as all good or all bad
Unstable relationships: Relationships that are intense and unstable, alternating between idealization and devaluation
Impulsive behaviors: Dangerous behaviors such as spending sprees, substance abuse, and reckless driving
Self-harm: Cutting, burning, or other attempts to hurt oneself
Chronic emptiness: A pervasive feeling of hollowness
Anger: Intense anger or difficulty controlling anger
Dissociation: Feeling cut off from oneself or seeing oneself from outside one's body
The main highlights of BPD is unstable relationships, emotional instability, and unsteady self image.
I will not be going over every symptom, as this is already a long analysis.
I want to highlight the notable aspect: Petro and his relationships. When analyzing him, it’s easy to notice that he has significant gaps in his relationships, and who he has let get close. Overall, there are only 4 relationships that have significance in his life: His mom, The Wisp, Alux, and Mark. He might have met or known others during his life, but so far it seems like these people are the closest relationships he’s had- or, the only real relationships he’s had.
While ages aren’t confirmed, it’s suspected Petro is around 17. A large part of his development as a child was most likely skewed due to his relations to the cult and the Wisp. These four people are the only true connections he’s had, which is unhealthy for someone his age.
This would lead to attachment issues, especially under Petro’s circumstances. He lost his mother at a young age, leaving him isolated in a kingdom that would hate him for being magic. The only attachment that he’d have after that, for a long time, was the Wisp. Unfortunately, the Wisp only saw him as a means to an end.
Their relationship, which has been a constant through Petro’s life, is her belittling him, abusing him, and stringing him along enough for him to do whatever she wants. The only two relationships Petro had, years after meeting the Wisp.
Cults typically don’t allow outside communication, at least, not healthy ones. Since the Wisp stalked Petro almost all the time, there was little room for him to make meaningful connections. Alux and Mark were all he had.
While it hasn’t been shown how Alux and Petro met, we do see how quickly Petro gets attached to Mark. Though it’s never really stated when, we do know that they’ve only known each other for a few weeks, maybe a month at most.
Back to the main point. Obviously, yes, this leads to unstable relationships. Petro’s relationship with Mark was unsteady and filled with distrust at first, but it was able to work out between them eventually.
People with BPD can tend to have a black/white point of view when it comes to things, either seeing it as all good or all bad. This or that. Us or them. These switch-ups can also leave a state of mind switching between “leave me alone” and “please don’t go”. This mindset is also known as splitting.
With Petro, he demonstrates this mindset often. When telling the Dark Angel story, it’s told very straightforwardly, and while he doesn’t say it outright, he’s very much on the Angel’s side. He never seems to question his actions.
I’d also say this is shown in Episode 16 when it comes to Mark. Petro is outwardly aggressive, trying to push Mark away. However, once Mark makes it clear that he’s not leaving, that he’s ‘good’ in Petro’s eyes, Petro opens up. His vulnerability is shown, and he suddenly displays how much he cares about Mark through the rest of the episode.
Another note about BPD is that it can lead to quick attachment and idolizing. While splitting is a part of BPD, emotional attachment is another part. One can get extremely attached to someone quickly.
While this can be used as an example with Mark again, I want to draw attention to the Wisp. She very much uses Petro’s unstable view of usefulness and relationships against him. There’s a scene in Episode 10 I want to talk about. It’s in the beginning, when Petro and the Wisp are talking about the ritual, and she mentions there were others in this same position before him.
In the beginning of it , the wisp looks almost upset when mentioning others before Petro, almost like she's trying to bait his sympathy. Of course, he listens, asks if there were others before him. Then, she changes up entirely, becoming more closed off. Simply saying, "Yes, but that's not important now, is it?"
It's very interesting to me. She baits him, gains his sympathy, then suddenly acts like he's the one who was concerned the whole time, not her. You can see before Mark barges in that he's more nervous now, and she never elaborates why later. Essentially, all she did was leave him with concerns that wouldn't be answered. What happened to the others? Am I good enough compared to them? Can I do better than them?
The last question especially seems to follow Petro, considering how determined he is to complete the ritual. The way the Wisp responds to Petro too also feels vile. "That's not important now, is it?" almost like going, "it's not a big deal. Do you think it's a big deal? Why do you think that when it isn't?". It's suddenly putting the blame and topic on him when he barely did anything, and she was the one faking concern in the first place.
All he does is doubt himself. Yes, he knows he cares about her, but he can’t know for sure if she cares about him. She plants bits of doubt that make him want to keep striving to help her, to prove himself worthy. While the Wisp is very clearly horrible, Petro doesn’t care. She is all he has. He has no one else but her. No one else will care about him in any form.
He's impulsive, forced to hide his emotions due to the Wisp constantly stalking him. The only outbursts he can have are against other people, which only makes everything more confusing for him.
The Wisp knows this behavior, and has expected that no one will love his “true” self. Yet, someone does. Mark does. The Wisp, only using his disorder to manipulate him further, couldn't let someone love him like that.
Now, another thing I'd like to mention. While BPD does not have a clear cause, it's been noted that a decent portion of individuals who have BPD also have suffered through trauma growing up.
Quoted from an Alter article about this:
“While further research is necessary better to understand the relationship between trauma and borderline personality disorder, it is suspected that early trauma can trigger BPD because experiencing hardship, abuse, or neglect as a child affects different biological systems in the brain.”
In summary, I believe Petro has BPD due to his relationships and behavior outside them. I don't know if it was intentionally written in, or simply is just effects of the abuse Petro’s suffered.
It's possible to see his behaviors as just effects from abuse, which is alright. I'm not trying to dictate that Petro ABSOLUTELY has BPD, but why I believe and headcanon it. Truthfully, abuse symptoms and BPD overlap a lot, and again, I'm no professional therapist.
Thank you for reading.

hey, so i recently did some research and took the mmpi and a few other tests that i knew were well regarded as diagnostic tools by professionals, as well as self reflection and matching myself with criteria. (all tests found free probably illegally online via links on reddit cause i dont got that kind of money) and it appears that i have aspd.
I consider myself a good person, i try to always be good to everyone which is a lot of effort because it’s something i dont do naturally, and imo that makes me better than a “normal person” but i digress
finding this out, while relieving in the way that it explained a lot of stuff, has also made me feel more alienated. i cant tell anyone im close to because theyll just hear “sociopath” and think i dont care about them or ive been manipulating them this whole and leave, and i wont be able to find new people because im bad at connecting with others so ill be alone. and no one online with aspd seems to have my experiences (also a lot of the online spaces are filled with pwBPD and pwNPD using our tag lmao and i dont relate to them either obviously) so i feel alien here too.
I dunno, finding this out was helpful in some ways but in others i just feel worse.
I guess it’s a net good now that i know that my way of thinking and going through life doesnt make me a bad or manipulative person its just how i naturally think bc of my disorder, and as long as im choosing to be good to people it shouldn’t matter. i just wish it wasnt so stigmatized to have, and i wish people would realize that i am capable of being a good person just as much as they are, i just have my own way of doing it.
I actually dont get why having it Come Naturally is such a good thing anyway, isnt it more meaningful if someone isnt “good by nature” but actively chooses to be anyway? I think it means less and is less reliable if someone is good by nature because then it means that they don’t actually know how or why theyre doing it, and if they have a moment of fluctuations in their empathy then they could be worse than any of us disordered folk who had to learn they why and how of this stuff.
lmfao ok uh sorry for having a character arc in your ask box you can delete if you want idc
No, no worries! I'm sorry it took me this long to get to honestly because yeah I agree with this - it is in my opinion objectively better to do good things by choice, even when it's hard for us. And, in fact, the NTs feel that way too but they don't like that it applies to us.
It's a whole cliche people like to throw around, that it isn't easy to be a good person and that the only truly good people are the ones that doing it when it's hard too - that the easiest thing isn't always the right thing, all of that. They just don't like that those things apply to us too and therefore we are very much their definition of good people.
The world has so much stigma against us, and I'm sorry you're struggling with it, that any and all of you are. We shouldn't be treated this way as a result of us being mistreated as kids. It's not our fault, but we're labeled and demonized anyway. And it sucks, and even though it says everything about them and nothing about us, people believe them bc they're so used to thinking we're the scary ones so we must be wrong.
That seems to be slowly changing, and I hope I (and you) are around to see when it does.

Unit 4: Nature Interpretation through Art and Planning for “All” Scenarios
As someone who has grown up in a small town near Thunder Bay, I have always had a huge appreciation for nature. A new opportunity was presented to me a few months ago, I was asked to be a high school science teacher, a passionate subject I have had for so long. I love nature, understanding how it works, asking myself a million questions like, “how the heck do I live in a place like this?” Nature, for me, is something that I feel is able to bring me peace during the hectic days.
Now, while I wouldn’t call myself an artist, I still love all forms of art. From painting, to photography, to creating glass mosaics, I use it as a means to escape, a way to further connect with the world and myself. Art allows me to use a creative side of my brain, a more emotional side than a logical side. For me, I worry more so about the process than I do the result.
The question asks, who am I to interpret nature through art? While I would say we are all given this amazing ability. As discussed in Chapter 5, interpretation is all about making meaningful, personal connections with the subject at hand. ANy of those that have the ability to express their passion in some sort of creative means, have the ability to be an interpreter. Art is not only for professionals, the same way surgery is to surgeons, but instead it is a way of sharing the world as we see it. For some people, they will paint portraits with precision and depth, others dance around a stage to tell a story, and for those who are like me, find beauty in the creative process, regardless of the perfect lines or not.
For me, art is able to provide a bridge between science and emotion. I enjoy science as it helps us understand all the mechanisms working alongside nature, whereas art allows us to feel it. Art has the power to inspire others, and deepen their appreciation for the world. While I may not be an artist in a traditional sense, I love showing my creative process through a way that is meaningful to me. Since stepping into the role as a science teacher, I have realized a huge part of my job is allowing students to see the amazing world around them. In some ways, yes, science is about memorizing tedious facts, or how to label a plant cell, but in other ways, it is about asking in-depth questions, making observations, and finding wonders about the amazing world we live in.
Nature’s beauty is a gift, in both the way we see it and how it makes us feel. As I walk down to the beach on the North shore of Lake Superior, I see a beautiful sunset, but I feel warmth, peace, and relief. All of that relating to the topic of interpretation isn’t only about seeing, but also about creating an emotional connection.
All that being said, I believe our role as people is the same, to connect, observe, wonder, and appreciate. And while I may not be a traditional artist, I enjoy interpreting nature in my own way, allowing my curiosity and creativity to thrive.

Jumu'ah Sohbet: 8 December 2023
This was another providential week where we were made to see the connection between our micro-and-macro worlds, at a time of macro-turmoil that enables us with new eyes to redirect our attention to Allah in all spaces 🌎 Subhana'Allah!
#1. Shaykh Nishaat began casting a mirror reflecting my history when he reflected that we are all searching and looking for something; and when we are young, what that is is elusive. We just know what we like, want, and need, and so our life goes on. We fast-forward as we get older, most of us are really able to identify what we really want in our lives, and we are able to filter out a lot of things that were once a fixture. We are able to let go of things that were once important in our lives.
Only post-accident for me, these were my fixation with my former job, vain forms of social media, and many forms of connection to people. I had to recalibrate myself with my Divine purpose before I could rejoin some meaningful fora only. The heartsmith continued that when we look at any spiritual path, in Sufism, for instance, what we are searching for is the true human being in ourselves. How we go about that is through the sulook (spiritual path), which entails working on the lower-self called the nafs, and we have to traverse seven levels. He then laid out some of the uncomfortable truths of this spiritual path where it is not easy, nor does it happen quickly! We also realise that the more we work on ourselves, the harder it becomes because we are facing a reality like no other, which is ourselves ...
#2. At some point, he added another of my lived truths; we gain the insight that worrying about others is not an important factor as it once was. We then start looking at what is more seriously and earnestly important for ourselves, and one of the most important factors is our relationship with our Creator, which I entitled my accidental epiphany! We finally reach a place in our lives where we look at everything in and around us in relation to our relationship with Allah. Shukran Ya Allah, it's the reason that I can not surrender to being forlorn as an accident survivor!
As we go through the levels of nafs and we are experiencing all the qualities of a human being, which inevitably and Insha'Allah creates a sense of certainty in us. Above all of this is the light within our hearts planted by Zikr, which overcomes the influences of our nafs that we have lived with all our lives. As it grows stronger, it is able to show us and recognise the truth with surity. Like when Hazrat Abu Bakr immediately was certain that our Prophet Muhammad SAW went on Laylatul Mi'raj, when it logically and rationally made no sense!
Thereafter, the heartsmith poetically seared an analogy into our hearts that the light is within us all, and we have to work on to switch it on! We can't merely acknowledge the presence of Electricity, the switch, and its functionality, but where we don't actually use it! We can't even blame the Electrician because it is us that has to take charge. May we see the truth in everything that we are engaging in; with our families, friends, and the world at large! Are we truly aware of what our responsibilities are? It is hard because everything in our worldly lives is geared towards our nafs where we want and crave more!
#3. An overcommitted Dr Melinda, who is an old mureed (follower) of Shaykh Taner, competently and tenderly succeeded in delivering our last Saturday Sohbet. She teaches comparative religion at Marywood University of USA. Her research specialisation is on Islam with a particular interest in Sufism, religious literacy, and interfaith dialogue. She shared one of her planned lectures with her students.
Her focus was on establishing prayer in a time that we were presented with war, as presented by Gregory Boyl. He was a living example of someone choosing to navigate a life of constant anxiety, the presence of war, and a system that kept one in an ongoing violence that is hard to see and break out of! She said that she felt that our Islamic tradition, as well as the Christian Gospel of Luke, helped disrupt and break out of the system in order to see the violence differently!
youtube
#4. Dr Melinda began with the Qur'an before moving onto the Gospel of Luke. One of the reasons that she chose the Gospel of Luke is because it deals with social justice, and it reflects the Qur'anic way of dealing with the injustices of the world and the evil we may see. She referred to Surahtul Luqman, where Luqman said that no matter how small any deed is, the weight of a mustard seed or hidden deep in a rock where our hearts are hardened or way in the heavens, Allah will bring it forth. Most certainly, Allah is Latif (Subtle) and Qadir (All-aware).
"... My dear son, establish salat and spread kindness, bridge wrongdoing, and persevere whatever may befall you. You will need therein, resolute determination, and do not turn away your face in scorn, contempt, or disdain and do not walk with arrogance through the land. Allah does not love any deceitful boaster, be modest in your attitude, and speak with a soft voice because truly a harshest voice is the braying of a donkey!"
Thereafter, she referred to Surah Fussilat which says:
"Good and evil deeds are not the same. Give a positive response to an evil deed and see that one that was once your enemy has become your close friend!"
It is proof that such benevolent action is possible from us humans if our Creator says so! Insha'Allah, our ability to reach such gracious benevolence is materialised. Ameen, summa ameen!
#5. Serrendipitously, this week's Qur'an Contemplation and Action session hosted by Khalifa Rubina was on Surah Al-'Araf v26-v33
The group halaqa (gathering) discussion included how we find peace when we are authentic and after we connect with Allah! It was only after Hazrat Adam AS and Bibi Hawa AS who errored and asked for forgiveness, did they find peace because they earned it!
Another profound insight was that we only think of justice as a social concept but not as the rules that Allah makes for us and for our conduct. When we fail to do these actions as Hazrat Adam AS and Bibi Hawa AS did, we do an injustice as well! Injustice to ourselves and those around us inadvertently, as us subsequent humans were made to live the consequence of our beloved spiritual parents' mistake, because we seldom think of other people when we enact contrary to what Allah demands of us. We are most just when we direct our attention to Allah in the entire earth beyond the Masjids! Directing our attention to Allah in all spaces infact is justice.
Shukran Ya Allah (Divine gratitude) for placing us within a spiritual school that directs and redirects our attention to You, in all circumstances!

Now that I'm home from work, here's my thoughts on Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.
Overall, loved the game. I love the fact that you literally start off where you ended in AC2, and that you get to see the grand escape from the Vatican. I wish there was a bit more story before Cesare's attack, allow you to really feel the victory, you know? Mainly because the fact the Cesare attacks you literally the day after you beat up his dad and took the apple seems a bit...fast? Like how did he not only get informed of the incident, but he was able to rally his army at Monteriggioni with siege towers and everything? I don't think he'd actually be able to mobilize that fast.
I do love that when Ezio wakes up in Rome he immediately begins to fuck with the Borgia. The day he wakes up he kills an executioner and burns a Borgia tower?? He certainly works fast.
I do love the 'recruits' part of this, how you can find people to become assassin's, send them on missions that help you get money and items, I only wish that you could continue to personalize their outfit after they become Assassin's. And maybe give us a selection of weapons they can use? Instead of them basically being copy and paste.
Story wise, I think they could have given us a bit more background on some of the other 'big' assassinations, like Juan Borgia. He's related to Cesare and the pope, but we only know him as having a risque party and being a banker? Give us more reasons to hate this guy and want him dead! Overall, he didn't seem like an 'evil' guy.
The Romulus lairs were fun, but overall kind of pointless? You never ran into any of these guys actually harassing citizens or anything, so they didn't really have a plot point that we could see. They could have made them random encounters in the more ruin-like area's, like the hundred eyes thieves who would randomly attack you.
Fuck the checkpoint system. The whole point is to save your progress so if you die you can 'reload' to that point in time. Meaning if you fail a 100% synch requirement after a checkpoint, reloading should make it that you still have that progress and not make you REDO THE WHOLE FUCKING THING. I'm looking at you flying machine. If I'm at 100% synch so far, get a checkpoint, fail the 100% synch and then die, I should be reloading at my checkpoint with the same status as when I got the checkpoint. Meaning health, weapons, notoriety, and SYNCHRONIZATION!
The Copernicus Conspiracy was kind of pointless. It was just a bunch of assassinations of 'important' npc's.
The Da Vinci Disappearance, however, was great. Lots of story and purpose behind it, and the missions were fun and interesting. 10/10.
I also liked the modern bits. Leaving the Animus and walking around as Desmond, seeing the modern differences in Monteriggioni, was great. And also added subtle characterization. Shaun and Becca were friendly and joking with each other through email, Lucy was a bit more 'mission oriented' trying to stay serious. And poor Desmond often got ignored. He basically just got the schedule and emails that were sent to everyone. And I get that they had limited dialogue options, but after you spoke to everyone about 3 times they began to just brush Desmond off. I would say arguably Desmond is doing the hardest work, putting his very mental state on the line for these people (with little to no actual, genuine, consent from Desmond) and they can't even have meaningful conversations with him? I don't think anyone really ever asked if he was alright??
And finally, the ending. Honestly, from the climb of the castello to find the apple to the literal end of the game, was very rushed. A 'point of no return' if you will, that is not even hinted at really. And literal years pass from one mission to the next. It's all very quick and leaves little to no emotional connection to what's happening. One scene Cesare is being arrested, and the next he's leading an attack? When did he get out of jail? Did he get out himself or did he have help? And how, exactly, did Ezio know just from the apple? I don't believe the apple would have straight up said 'yo, Cesare is out of jail and attacking Viana'. That part didn't really make sense. And getting the idea to 'ask' the apple because Cesare said something along the lines of 'no chains will hold me' or whatever? Why did that make Ezio believe there was cause for concern of Cesare being freed? I'm sure a lot of people say that when being arrested.
To end this, I just want to say that I know it's an older game, and bound to have issues. I'm not saying it's a bad game, but I am saying that some of the issues could have been patched by now if Ubisoft cared to. And those patches might make it a better experience. But overall, it's a great game with 1 great DLC. (I just wish there was more Leonardo interaction! <3)

What is the paradox of Human Connection in a World of 8 Billion?
In a world bustling with over 8 billion souls, the paradox of human connection resonates through the corridors of our social existence. Each encounter carries the potential for a relationship, a shared story, a woven thread in the intricate tapestry of life. Yet, it's a universal truth a cognitive and emotional threshold that we simply cannot forge deep connections with everyone. This is not a tale of tragic scarcity but rather a narrative of selectivity and profound appreciation for the relationships that truly resonate with us.
Life's Tapestry and Human Bonds
Ever mourned the lack of human connection between you and a stranger? Before you let regret unfold, imagining the 'coulda, woulda, shoulda' moments that never came to be pause. What about the understanding that not every friend is destined to become a meaningful chapter in your life's story. You wouldn’t want them to all be, either. Not a human, even one who is capable of believing in infinite possibilities, would dare to say emotinal dynamics are just not logic, they defy our prefrontal cortex, it’s because they are governed admydala. Literally, nothing makes sense with the limited but profound experience of relational emotinal dynamics.
Good guys are never enough. I hate that I know that’s not true, but feel different about the odds of “good guys”, being enough. Total bummer cause I want to think it’s true. It almost feels tragic to think till you see this other perspective from my unique equation below and one realizes that feels sad but not tragic.
(Life's Tapestry + Human Bonds) - Superficial Ties + (Deep Resonance x Mutual Understanding) + (Acceptance / Judgement) + (Shared Moments of Harmony) - (The Need for Universal Approval)= Profound Connections that Last
This simple yet profound equation was developed to encapsulate the essence of human interpersonal relationships. Human life is enriched by weaving genuine bonds into our complex tapestry of experiences: subtracting superficiality and multiplying mutual understanding deepens the resonance of our connections. Acceptance is pivotal in the equation of relationships, outweighing judgment to foster profound and lasting bonds: shared moments of harmony add to the strength and substance of these ties. Ultimately, a meaningful social tapestry is woven not through the pursuit of universal approval, but through the cultivation of authentically connected relationships. It's natural only to have a select few relationships that deepen into something significant. Our emotional capacity, as suggested by Robin Dunbar (1992), is capped at about 150 meaningful relationships at a time—perhaps even over a lifetime.
Understanding Dunbar's Number
Dunbar's number, typically cited as around 150, is more than a statistic. It's a reflection of our cognitive limits to maintain stable and meaningful social relationships. This concept is grounded in the theory that the human brain has a finite capacity for managing the emotional complexities involved in our social lives (Dunbar, 1992).
Yet, the abstraction of this number contrasts starkly with the reality of our global population. In order physically manifest this, he is another equation to calculate the number of potential unique groups of 150 people out of 8 billion, we’d actually be able to chose from we're faced with a figure so large it defies comprehension. Here is my own equations for measuring that :
C(8,000,000,000, 150) = 8,000,000,000! / (150! X (8,000,000,000 - 150)!)
To summarize the expression of C(8,000,000,000, 150) \) represents the number of different ways a group of 150 people can be chosen from a larger population of 8 billion. This is a combinatorial problem, often referred to as a "combination," which calculates how many possible subsets can be formed from a larger set when the order of selection does not matter. The factorial notation (e.g., \( n! \)) signifies the product of all positive integers up to \( n \), which is a key part of the formula for combinations. The result of this equation is an astronomically large number, reflecting the immense variety of potential unique groups of 150 people within the global population.
While theoretically intriguing, that’s what we think cognitively, or no to be true, through logical means. But the emotional truth teaches us that the probability of forming meaningful connections with even a fraction of these combinations is virtually nil. The vastness of potential social networks is a mathematical marvel, but the intimate realities of our emotional world are far more selective.
The Probability of Connection
The mathematical probability of any specific group of 150 people coming together is infinitesimally small. Yet, the quest for meaningful connections continues. It's not the quantity of social interactions that defines our experience but the quality of the connections we do make.
We are adventurers in a grand landscape of social possibilities, yet navigators of a much smaller, more intimate map of personal relationships. The realization that we cannot possibly connect with every potential soul we encounter can inspire a sense of longinga wistful reflection on the bonds that could have shaped our lives in other circumstances.
The Practical Realities
As we travel this world, the reality is that we will only ever engage with a finite subset of the population. You have so many options, quantity but really none very much at all. Your temperament would never permit everyone being quality. Everyone too crazy to fully optimize every single potential. There are practical limitations of time, geography, and cognitive capacity ensure that the 150 people who constitute our social world at any given time are a carefully curated ensemble a reflection of who we are and what we feel close too. It may exist in the tension between the infinite potential what think exists in of our social networks and the finite nature of our emotional connections. Our crazy saves us, our tempermant, makes us too crazy for everyone and everyone too crazy for us. We would never tolerate to such ideal level of human optimization, even if we could and there is infirmity possibility to do taht, really too. Except when feelings don’t make sense are not working on the best possibilities out there. This dichotomy is hard to integrate fully into our personal realities, we want to be liked and warm with as many as possible. We think “all”, we know it, never feel it though!
What is really at the core of the essence of that probability is this: physiological and psychological sensitivities in our social existence. There is a world of boundless possibilities for connection, yet that’s mitigated by unique personal reality of meaningful and manageable emotional experiences too.
In Conclusion
The exploration of human connection in a populous world is a journey of understanding the limits of our cognitive and emotional capacities. It's a journey that teaches us the value of each relationship we choose to cultivate and the precious nature of the finite bonds that shape our existence.
As we ponder the vast array of paths not taken, let us also celebrate the connections we have made—the ones that have become part of our unique story in a world brimming with untold billions. In the landscape of human connection, it's a common feeling to worry about the depth of our relationships with others. We live in a world where the quantity of connections—friends on social media, contacts in our phones, followers on various platforms—can often seem to overshadow the quality of those connections. But it's important to remember that not every interaction will, or even should, lead to a deep connection. And that's perfectly okay. Here's a poem I invented to that captures this sentiment of this high level analysis. It summarizes what I mean perfectly too. Took me a few hours to make it, and I hope you enjoy it:
In the tapestry of life, each thread plays its part. Some bonds are fleeting, while others bind the heart. It's in the depth, not breadth, where true connections are cast,
For in the realm of human ties, some are meant to last. Not every soul we meet will walk our path till the end,
Nor every passer-by will turn to a confidant or friend. But that's the beauty of the journey, with its ebb and flow,
We cherish those who resonate, and gracefully let others go. For in the symphony of life, not every note is key,
Some harmonies are brief, yet sweet in their brevity. And though we may strive to understand each score,
Some melodies will touch us deep, some just brush the core. So fret not if crowds don't echo your inner song. For those who truly matter will hear it clear and strong. A few profound connections can outweigh scores of shallow ties and in the hearts that truly Certainly! I'll rephrase the poem to maintain its essence while aiming for clarity and coherence:
In life's woven tapestry, each thread holds its place,Some bonds might be transient, others embrace.
It's the depth, not the range, where true ties are found, Within the vast weave of human bounds, some are profound. Not all will journey with us until our story's end,
Not every stranger will transform into a friend. Yet that's the journey's beauty, with its rise and its fall,
We treasure the resonant few, and with grace, release all.
In life's grand symphony, not all notes are drawn out long, Some melodies are fleeting, yet their brief echo is strong.
While we seek to decipher each life's intricate score,
Certain tunes captivate us deep, others just skim the shore. Worry not if the multitude doesn't mirror your tune,
For those who truly matter will synchronize soon. A handful of deep connections surpass many that are slight,
In hearts that truly meld, our spirits unite.
Seek to invest attention and time with whom your soul finds peace, for they show you as you are. The rare ones who with a gesture or word, can heal or lightly scar.
It's not a fault to connect with only a few, as we navigate humanity's quest,
It's simply life's design, a cycle, not a deficiency to be suppressed.
For it's among the select bonds that we find our truest selves,
In this emotional dynamic lies our temperance on life's shelves.
It's more than a place of individual emotion—it's a shared embrace,
A haven of mutual understanding, acceptance, and grace.
Among the current billions, these gems shine amidst the gravel,
The stars that pierce the night, in a vast emotional travel.
We don't bond with all, but where we do, it's emotion that ignites the spark,
Humans seek their reflection in others, in this space where they embark.
We navigate the masses by feeling first, then contemplating our reflection,
Desiring more possibilities, we adopt a cognitive direction.
This emotional dynamic is not just ours but shared in duality's dance,
It's the truth we discover when we give different perspectives a chance.

I've been having a lot of hearthome related feelings, but in an odd way,
My hearthome is typically split, I often imagine myself I'd live in dark green pine forests amongst the mountains, often foggy and cool, able to find snow across paths, but the season of autumn in its entirety is also something that's deeply meaningful for me
I've believed I've only ever talked about it through Discord, but more or less I see myself finding comfort and home with any area as long as the skies are cloudy and the leaves are various warm colors. Between the pine woods where the green of pine blends well with the other orange leaves, the fog in the morning and evening, finding a possible pumpkin patch along my journey. That's a part of my hearthome I'd believe,
However, I think a part of it has become more known to me or maybe has changed to an extent? I am unsure of my place or setting but I often see myself in an archive and library, I feel this intense and grounding urge to sort through my findings and knowledge
I'm unsure of my habitat exactly, but I see myself as my paws walk across the sticks and soft leaves on the floor, various colors of orange and red and green from the pine needles. The usually crunchy leaves are softer in the morning and evening due to the dew and the fog. Whenever I inhale, I can feel the way the fog cools my throat and lungs, when I exhale I can see the vapor join the rest of the fog around me,
When I walk, I do not know what building I see, but I want to claim it's abandoned, run down from the outside, worn and isolated in the mountains of the diverse forest. Surrounded by various trees. When I walk inside however, using my back leg or tail to shut the door behind me, it's a library and archive, as well as a home of some kind,
I see shelves that reach the ceiling full of various books. Stories, history, survival, tips, and so on. Everything that I have found is stored here. I see that the walls are still worn down, possibly old brick or cement, I can't say. I can say however I see vines, roots and life breaking through cracks and adding nature's touch. It's a warmly lit room, added carpet on the ground to make it easier for my worn paws to walk across,
I can look through cracked windows and stained glass, cracked or not, it still adds a beauty to the room. When I walk by the windows, they reflect and I can view myself, see my coyote self. I'm content,
The room is connected to a hall, at the end of the dark hall that lacks proper light is a ramp and staircase that leads downstairs. This is where my archive is, where I can find and read what I have written and typed or what was gifted to me to store and protect,
I can see myself having a love for the tasks and work that comes with it. It's quiet, it's simple, but it's home to me,
Around my building I'm sure I would have more to it. A small kitchen for my drinks or to serve guests that I welcome to my home and den,
I suppose that makes me a bit of an odd coyote wouldn't it? That's where my little rant about being an anymic coyote shifter(link) could come in play, but maybe it's more to it?
My hearthome isn't just this building with its surroundings, but in the sense of animality, I think it's the general forest and mountains themselves. I am still a coyote in the end and I still run and hunt and cry my calls out in the comfort of it. Maybe my home still deeply carries a connection with me regardless of season, but autumn holds the most power? Where I am still a part of the forest and archive/library but in autumn I feel my best. Either it's a fluid feeling or a bigger more vast feeling,
Kudos to you if you got this far, have a cookie 🍪
This doesn't touch the possibility of finding a hearthome in a completely different setting that makes genuinely no sense to me whatsoever, being cyberpunk-like cities. Dark rainy cities with futuristic technology and neon signs and lights painting against the dark skies and setting. Secret underground raves and its culture especially being a part of this, though that may be for another time to really explain. I believe this whole message ramble has gotten too long, I'll be writing something more detailed and more organized soon <3

The Importance of a Logo Design Agency in Rebranding Campaigns
The Role of a Logo Design Agency in Rebranding Projects

Due to the increasing competition between brands, a rebranding strategy is often implemented, and in most cases, it has become imperative for… companies wishing to modify their outlook as well as target more audiences. And one of the most prominent and essential aspects of a rebranding campaign, there is a strong need for a logo that is artistically designed. In simple terms, a logo is the graphical depiction of the brand – its ideals, vision, and character. More often than not because of the strain of communicating this representation efficiently, a logo design agency becomes necessary. Such agencies have knowledge, imagination, and appreciation for the concepts of branding, making them very important during the process of rebranding.
Functions of a Logo Design Agency Different from a Brand Design Agency
A logo design agency is not limited to the design but it plays several roles in the rebranding exercise. The abilities extend beyond designing a captivating logo. They seek to the heart of the brand in developing a logo that appeals to the intended users.
This operation normally progresses through several stages:
Research and Analysis: The aims getting to know the background, principles and the objectives of the brand.
Concept Development: Exploring and drawing the first several ideas for the logo.
Design Execution: The process of completing the logo with the application of various designing aids.
Feedback and Revisions: Change the design as per the client’s satisfaction.
Finalization and Implementation: Designing files of the logos in various formats.
By adhering to these processes, a logo design agency makes sure that the new logo is not only appealing but also successfully portrays the message of the brand. Språk Design is a good example of a firm that readily embraces such capabilities. Their holistic model of logo design and branding enables businesses to create an enduring and effective brand image that allows for a more streamlined approach to branding.
The Importance of a Logo that is Attractive and Meaningful
An attractive logo is one of the factors that can greatly boost a rebranding strategy. Here are some areas in which it can help:
Brand Recognition: An original and creative logo makes it easier for the consumers to notice and recall the brand being offered.
Professionalism: A logo that has been designed by a professional exudes quality and reliability.
Differentiation: Through a unique logo, a brand is able to put itself above its rivals.
Emotional Connection: A well-designed logo has the power to create feelings thereby acting as a bridge that connects the audience to the logo.
Considering the above merits, it is commendable for a business in a rebranding phase to seek the services of a professional logo design agency.
Why Use a Logo Design Agency?
A logo design agency is by far a better option than using an in-house team or a freelance designer thanks to:
Skill: A logo design agency possesses more than just the experience of branding and design. It also has in-depth knowledge.
Ability: The agency has the latest and high level designs machineries.
Teamwork: Different creative people fulfill the project which makes the designs more creative.
Integration: They make sure that the logo relates to the rest of the visual identity.
As for the businesses in the food and drinking establishments, a logo design agency for example will also manage the other ancillary visual items like the design of the restaurant’s menu. Hence, helping to maintain visual harmony around all the customer contact points’ structures within the brand’s architecture.
Aspects to Keep in Mind in Logo Designing During a Rebranding
However, while coordinating with a logo design agency, here are a number of principal aspects to consider:
1. Company Values and Vision
The new logo should embody the fundamental principles and the vision of the brand. These components should be expressed vividly to the art department to make sure that every detail of the finished product is in sync with the brand’s nature.
2. The Target Audience
It is equally important to learn the demographic basis of the target audience. The logo should connect with the audience that the brand seeks to reach. This involves the different age groups, gender, cultural aspects, and even likes and dislikes.
3. Minimalistic and Functional
An efficient logo is one that is easy to understand and can be applied in many ways. It should be identifiable with ease and should also function well on different platforms ranging from business cards all the way to large billboards. The logo should be of different graphic sizes and should be visually pleasing in color and monochrome versions.
4. Durability
As much as design trends come and go, one should also have in mind the fact that the logo will design will not change. This is because a logo that is classic in design will still work after many years hence the costs and time spent creating new designs are limited.
5. Feed-back & Revisions
The process of designing connotes provision for the feed-back and the revisions. This is to ensure that the logo achieved at the end meets the satisfaction of the client and performs the intended purpose of the brand.
Case Study: A Rebranding Strategy That Works; Logo Design Agency
In order to show the essence of a logo design agency in the rebranding process, let us examine a case study:
Brand: A mid-sized restaurant chain that seeks to rebrand its image in order to win the youth.
Challenge:
The previous brand logo was rather old and did not appeal to their target audience. In simple terms, a new logo capturing the contemporary ideas and ethos of the brand was required.
Solution:
The restaurant chain engaged the services of a logo design agency. The agency carried out extensive market research, which included customer polls and analysis of rival brands, to ascertain where the brand occupied in the market. Then they were able to create some drafts of effective logos which were in congruence with the new image of the brand.
Results:
The final logo was a sleek, modern design that appealed to the target audience. The rebranding campaign, supported by the new logo, successfully attracted a younger demographic and increased customer engagement. Additionally, the agency provided restaurant menu design services to ensure a cohesive visual identity across all touchpoints.
How to Collaborate Effectively with a Logo Design Agency
In order to fully optimize your collaboration with a logo design agency, it is important to keep the following aspects in mind:
Articulate your Targets: Explain the reasons for your rebranding and what are your expectations, as well as the wishes, to the agency.
Be Constructive: Be productive and constructive in your comments directing to work on the logos presented.
Believe in the Professionals: Believe in the agency’s professional judgement and do not hesitate to accept their ideas.
Engagement: Engage in the process and make sure that the design team communicates with you on a regular basis.
Think ‘New Logo’ in a Broader Perspective: A new logo is a long term commitment, thus think about how it will fit with the company, by years to come.
Conclusion
One of the leading logo design agencies in the world remains the most crucial element in the success of a rebranding activity. Thanks to their skills, imagination, and tools, it becomes possible for a business to come up with and craft an impressive logo that appeals to its target market and elevates its creativity. No matter how small or big the company could be, it may be a startup or a multibillion corporation, branding is an expensive exercise and thus all the more the case for hiring a professional logo design agency.

Unit 04 Blog Post
In this course, I’ve been told over and over that I am an interpreter of nature. This was presented as a fact to me; however, this is the first time I have questioned who am I to interpret nature? Everyone is an aspiring interpreter of nature, using past experiences to understand the beauty in nature that surrounds us. A way that individuals portray this beauty is through art, this act of interpreting nature is not merely about presenting what is seen; it’s about conveying the deeper narratives that lie within the landscapes.
Being a nature interpreter, I use a set of skills and knowledge that allows me to connect with both nature and my audience. At the core of my role is empathy; understanding the feelings and perspectives of those I engage with and allowing them a safe space to share that perspective. This requires honing my observational skills, learning to look beyond the surface of a scene, and identifying the emotions and stories that nature conveys. As well as being able to weave narratives that resonate with viewers can make my art more relatable. A deeper understanding of ecology and environmental science is essential. This knowledge will not only inform my work but also allow me to share accurate and meaningful insights with my audience. My audience consists of diverse groups, each with their own interests, experiences, and levels of connection to nature; Something that is needed in a nature interpreter is Understanding how different cultures perceive and interact with nature will enrich my interpretations and broaden my artistic voice. In interpreting “the gift of beauty,” I see it as both a privilege and a responsibility. Beauty in nature offers solace, inspiration, and a sense of belonging. By interpreting and sharing this beauty through art, I aim to cultivate a deeper appreciation for the world around us. This journey is not just about my views; but about fostering a collective consciousness that cherishes the natural world.
Growing up I was never a splendid artist, I wasn’t strong at drawing, painting, or really any form of art. However, I have always had a deep love for art. I would love to travel around the world to view different pieces of art and maybe even buy some pieces for my own. I was first introduced to “Group of Seven” in my grade 5 art class, where we were tasked with recreating this “Iceberg picture”, In reality it had a much different name and wasn’t actually an Iceberg at all, however to my young mind this was all I was seeing in the picture. I hadn’t understood the message the artist was trying to portray. I hadn’t had enough experience to grasp these different ideas that implemented in these works of art. I have recently started to understand my own ideas and messages behind art that I see. Nature interpretation is all about being able to formulate opinions and share them with others around you, art is a very useful tool for this.

This was an image taken on a hike with my girlfriend, we were walking on a trail in Hamilton and were walking back when I noticed how the trees were angled and created shapes in nature, they looked like right angle triangle. The space in the air that was created due to the formation of path over time allowed these trees to grow and spread away from the forest and into this space. The trees stretched up and into this space filling the hole in the forest roof, it was so beautiful to see how nature responds to the creation of the path, the forest adapted and now shields the path from the sky as it did before. As if the pathway wasn’t there in the first place.
As I navigate my role as an interpreter of nature through art, I embrace the challenges and opportunities that come with it. By continuously developing my skills and understanding my audience, I aim to create meaningful experiences that celebrate the gift of beauty that is inherently present in nature. With nature being always changing, the opinions and ideas that we present must always be adapting and growing to suit the changing of nature. Art is great tool that helps to spread the messages and ideas of the artist to others as well to create a safe place for others to communicate their ideas. Nature interpretation at its core is the spreading and sharing of the beauty of nature.

Environmental Interpreter for a Marine Sanctuary
Long before I recognized the horrors of Marineland or Sea World, I used to be one of the visitors that frequented those places. As a little girl, I would run up to the glass windows and press my face against them trying to get as close as possible to majestic animals in front of me. But even then, a gut feeling lingering within me questioned the paradox: how could a creature as mighty as the killer whale find happiness in a place so constricted? Thinking about how much I love the track and field behind my house as my sense of place, I’d wonder if I couldn’t go there and was confined to my home, how happy would I be? That was probably my earliest memory of how I became fascinated with marine animals.
After that, we stopped going to themed zoos and instead throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunities to see marine animals like sea lions and dolphins in their natural habitats. Having said that, my ideal role of an environmental interpreter would be at a marine animal sanctuary. An environmental interpreter strives to embrace the wonder of life and crafts experiences that provide people the ability to foster a meaningful connection with the natural world. Whenever possible, I dedicate myself to raising awareness about the issues marine animals are going through. Just last year in Biol 2060, I had the opportunity to raise awareness on Northern Resident Killer Whales (NRKW) which are an at risk species around Vancouver Island.
As an environmental interpreter at a marine sanctuary, some of my responsibilities would include providing informative presentations. These would allow me to get in touch with people and be able to educate them first hand on the ecological significance of marine animals as well as the ongoing efforts to protect them. Other activities like having educational workshops for school age children would allow children to form a bond with marine ecosystems so they too could be inspired one day. As well, holding interactive exhibits would allow people to have a first hand experience observing the challenges marine animals face in their natural habitat.
There are many museums, coastal marine centers and marine sanctuaries in the world that are already working towards educating the general public. My ideal location would be at a marine sanctuary on Vancouver island since that is where NRKW are more often seen (Nichol & Shackleton, 1996). It would be a perfect location to be able to observe the killer whales, allowing for a more concentrated effort to develop strategies for preserving marine life.
To inspire individuals about marine life like the NRKW, I believe being acquainted with marine biology is important, especially with the behavior, anatomy, nutrition and conservation needs of aquatic mammals. Aside from educational knowledge, one should be passionate about marine animals, only then will they be able to communicate with passion so people are able to appreciate the wonders of marine life.

Is the goal to make players feel good?

In a series of posts about relation games I’ve been discussing game and narrative design from a relational perspective. I’ve been meaning to explore the role of player agency in games centered around relationships.
I also posed some specific questions:
Should players get a wide variety of romanceable characters to choose from, and be able to shift the relationships according to their preferences, or could it be meaningful to exhort players into having relationships they wouldn’t choose for themselves to convey a specific story?
I believe both these questions could be responded to with a yes… depending on what type of game you want to make. Catering to players’ wants and needs is one way of addressing relationships in games, and it’s probably the most common route to take – but it’s not the only one. In the end it comes down to what the purpose of the game is – is it to make players feel good and offer them the fictional relationships they want to have? Then covering a range of options that is as suited to the target group as possible would be the best thing. Players try to satisfy their needs while playing – and being able to shift the relationships according to their preferences will make this easier. But making players feel good isn’t always the goal. Sometimes you want to explore a certain issue that might make some players uncomfortable. For us, that’s fine – but that comes with an extended need for communication. Being clear about what to expect is important, as well as accepting that players might – or will – react.

Working with content warnings and information is one way to prepare players for experiences that they might not fully enjoy. Especially when you are working within a genre where many games are based on fulfilling the wishes and needs of players by letting them romance characters. Then, if you include routes where the relationships aren’t completely healthy or don’t go well, you might break the expectations of the genre, and players might need to have some preparation for that. As a creator of that kind of game, you would also need to be prepared that some design or narrative choices might have a – sometimes – unexpected impact on players. I’d say it’s impossible to completely analyze a game during the development process. Doing a lot of user testing might bring issues to the table before release, but it’s definitely not failproof.
Bringing what we've learned into Truer than You
When developing our new game Truer than You, we’re aiming to implement some of the things we’ve learned from making Knife Sisters. In this game, you play an androgyne character called Rin, who’s recently moved to an unfamiliar city to start a new life and a new position at the secretive company Truer than You, specializing in renting out actors for real life situations. There are rules you have to follow – for instance, you can’t have relationships with people you meet through your work – but that’s something that could happen anyway… and that’s how you get to know Ariel, Indira and Sylvester, the characters you can form closer relationships with.

This time we’ve chosen to have branching storylines following those characters, instead of having them complement a main storyline connected to another character (Dagger), as we did in Knife Sisters. That’s not only because some players objected to being forced into the relationship with her, but also because this game has a whole other set of themes than Knife Sisters, that we see could be better explored by connecting them to the characters. We think that this design will increase the desire to replay the game, and make the player feel more in charge of the story. Hopefully, people will also perceive it as less linear. In Knife Sisters, you do have a lot of agency when it comes to how each scene plays out, but not as much when it comes to affecting the main storyline’s course of events. This is perceived very differently by different players, but we’re eager to see what players think and feel when the story changes a little more.

What do strong emotional reactions to your game mean?
In the end, it’s impossible to cater to all your players’ wishes. So you’ll need to accept that people will get disappointed at times – but, like the player who wrote an angry message, they might come to enjoy the game anyway! Strong emotions connected to your game show that people have engaged with it. Emotions aren’t always easily interpreted, and the systems for leaving feedback don’t necessarily cater to that complexity. You might engage heavily with a game, but still decide to give it a “not recommended” review on Steam – because it left you with negative or complex emotions. But negative emotions also teach us things.

For me, I don’t think making players feel good is a goal, but rather to make players feel, period. To evoke many types of emotions, ranging from good, to sad or even angry. If we make a game that has the player coming back to it in their mind, over and over, then we have succeeded.
What do you think?
