The Au Pair Boy Part 4
And this story is back!!! Sorry about last week, but I really wanted to finish the rockstar AU.
In this we get, Chrissy and the girls being cute and everyone gets to know each other a little bit more.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
~
Chrissy stayed the first day to help with the meltdowns but was a little surprised when Steve let them just lie on the floor.
Steve caught her raised eyebrow and huffed a laugh. “Sometimes the best way to deal with a temper tantrum is to ignore it. Plus, their dad just left for what is not short amount of time. He’s not coming back tomorrow or even next week. He’s going to gone for months. I think they deserve a little floor time, don’t you?”
She cocked her head to the side. “Huh. I never thought it of it like that.” She walked over to the girls and laid down next to them.
When Steve came back from making breakfast, he found both girls wrapped around Chrissy and all three of them sound asleep. He went back into the kitchen and carefully wrapped up their sandwiches. Lunch could wait.
It was some time later before any of them stirred. Joan was the first. She sat up and looked around. The sun had changed position so the room was darker. She spotted her sister and Chrissy, still asleep.
She wandered the house before she spotted Steve in his room reading.
“Well hello there,” he said gently. “Are you the only one awake?”
She nodded and crawled up on his lap. “I want Daddy, but I can’t find him.”
Steve set down his book and wrapped his arms around her waist. “Remember, Joanie, Daddy’s at work now, but he said he would call as soon as he plane landed. Has he called yet?”
Joanie looked up at him thoughtfully. “Would he call you or Aunt Chrissy?”
Steve scooped her up and started carrying her down the stairs. “He said he would call Chrissy tonight, then me every night I’m working. Which is why I’m taking back to her so you don’t miss his call.”
“Daddy is going to come back right?” she asked, his voice small. “Not like Papa?”
“Your daddy would never leave you like your papa did, Joanie,” Steve murmured. “He loves you too much.”
“Then why did he leave?”
Well he wasn’t sure how to answer that in a way she would understand. “Your daddy got a once in a life time opportunity to get back together with his band. He had work with four people’s schedules. But he loved you so much that he made sure that he had someone he could trust with you and Janie, okay?”
Joan nodded and wrapped her arms around Steve’s neck as he worked his way back to the front room.
Chrissy was just waking up, but Janice was still asleep. She looked at her watch and cursed.
“Aunt Chrissy said a bad word,” Joan huffed as Steve set her down.
Chrissy head whipped around to see Steve and Joan standing in the entrance way. “Oh, hi, Joanie, I didn’t see you standing there. You shouldn’t have wandered off without telling me.”
“I went looking for Daddy and found Steve,” she said pointing to Steve.
Chrissy looked up at Steve and then back at Joan. “Good job, Joanie.” She gently untangled herself from Janice’s iron tight grip and stood up. She straightened her clothes and glared at him.
“Why did you let me sleep so long?” she huffed, crossing her arms.
Steve pulled out his phone without a word and fiddled with a moment, before turning the screen around so she could see.
“Oh.”
There on the screen was a picture of her with the girls, all cuddled together in a pile on the floor.
“Um,” she said shyly, “if I gave you my number could you send that to me? I want it as the wallpaper on my phone.”
Steve nodded. She rattled off her phone number and he sent her the picture with a grin. Behind her Janice was waking up, groggy and disorientated.
“Daddy?” Janice asked sleepily. She looked around and saw only Steve, Chrissy, and Joan and immediately burst into tears.
Chrissy wrapped her arms around the little girl and held her tight. Joan waddled up to Chrissy and tugged her shirt sleeve. Chrissy brought her willingly into the hug. “It’s all right, pumpkins I think it’s past time for lunch. And I think everyone is feeling a little hangry at the moment.”
“I’ve got sandwiches in the fridge,” Steve offered jutting his thumb behind him.
Suddenly the girls pulled away from Chrissy and made a mad dash for the kitchen, Steve fast on their heels to make sure they didn’t try to get the plate out of the fridge themselves. Chrissy followed close behind, shaking her head fondly.
~
Lunch was a hit especially when the girls saw that their sandwiches were cut into little hearts.
“Did you throw away the scraps?” Chrissy asked as she munched happily on her non-hearted turkey sandwich.
Steve shook his head. “I cut the bread before adding anything to it, condiments, meat, cheese and then I use the bread scraps to make bread crumbs. Then I trim the cheese and have a little snacking cheese while I finish the other sandwiches.”
“Clever.”
Steve ducked his head and blushed. “Hey, girls what does your Daddy say about business at the lunch table?”
Joan and Janice shared a look and shrugged.
“Daddy usually doesn’t have lunch with us because he’s working,” Joan huffed. “Usually our nanny would fix us lunch.”
Steve looked over at Chrissy in surprise. “I was under the assumption that I was the emergency au pair, as in he didn’t have one before he left. Was that not the case?”
Chrissy shook her head. “I’m sure Eddie told you that they tend to chase off their nannies?”
“We do not!” Joan huffed crossing her arms in front of her chest and pouting.
“Yeah!” Janice said. “Miss Molly spent all the time on the phone with her boyfriend.”
“We were left unsup–unpup–unstupified!” Joan said, stammering around the big word.
“Unsupervised,” Chrissy said slowly then turned to Steve. “Molly was only the most recent run of bad nannies. One was spanking them for punishment, another was smoking weed in the house. And each time, the girls would misbehave so badly that the nannies would go running and blame the girls, only for the truth to come out.”
“Miss Emily liked to scare us,” Janice said with a whimper. “Jump out of closets and stuff. Said it would make us tougher.”
“Eddie found that one out because he came home early one day when a meeting with another producer fell through,” Chrissy said shaking her head. “She lasted two weeks.”
“Jimney Cricket,” Steve cursed. He turned to the girls. “I promise to not spank you or scare you or be on the phone with my boyfriend or girlfriend, mainly because I don’t have one.”
Joan cocked her head to the side. “You like both? Can you do that?”
“Yup!” Chrissy said brightly. “I’ve had a couple of boyfriends in the past. I just decided that girls were easier and more fun.”
Steve nearly snorted his water. He was so glad the girls were way too young to catch Chrissy’s meaning. Because, hooboy, their dad had only been away for a couple of hours and already Chrissy had gone feral.
“So you’ve had boyfriends and girlfriends?” Janice asked Steve, her head tilted the opposite direction of her sister so their heads were almost touching.
“I have!” he told her brightly. “Just not in a while. I’ve been taking care of sweethearts like you and have been too busy to date.”
Chrissy eyed him like he was a piece of meat she was thinking of serving up. Most likely to Eddie. His boss.
“But you aren’t a nanny, right?” Janice asked. “You’re an off pear? Is that rotted fruit?”
Chrissy and Steve shared a glance before they both burst out laughing.
“Au. Pair,” Steve said slowly. “Traditionally a young woman from a foreign country hired to cook, clean, and watch small children in exchange for housing and a small income. But I’m a little bit different.” He held up his finger and thumb really close together.
“Is because your a boy?” Joan asked at the same time Janice asked, “Is it because you aren’t foreign?”
Steve laughed again. “You’re both right. Though my mom is Italian, but I was born here in Indiana.”
“Just like us!” Joan said, throwing her arms in the air and almost knocking her plate and half of her sandwich off onto the floor.
“It’s all right, Joanie,” Steve soothed when she got really upset about almost knocking her plate on the floor. “You learned a valuable lesson in making sure your plate is pushed far enough on the table that it won’t get easily spilled.”
She sniffled but nodded.
They went back to eating and as Steve was cleaning up Chrissy asked him what he wanted to discuss at the table that got sidetracked by the girls.
“Just wondering when we should start looking for other help,” he said over his shoulder as he washed the dishes. “I don’t think we need to start right away for the cleaner and cook since there won’t be a lot of need for it, but a pool cleaner, ground maintenance, and gardener/ groundskeeper should be our top priorities.”
Chrissy stared at him for a moment. “Holy shit, you’re efficient. Yeah, we can start on all that shit tomorrow. I have the next couple of weeks off to help you settle the girls in. Eddie’s been gone for a weekend or two before and they’ve spent the night with me, so I’m always on call if you need anything.”
Steve smiled at her, wiping his wet hands on a rag he had draped over his shoulder while he washed.
“That’s great,” he said. “I won’t be able to keep calling on you because they’re going to need to get used it just being me.”
“Of course,” she replied. “Eddie really likes you and wants you to do well here so he’s authorized me to help you out anyway I can.”
“You don’t know what a relief it is to hear that,” Steve said, leaning against the counter. “Most parents either don’t care or are so afraid you’re trying to steal their children’s love that they undermine you at every turn.”
“Well you don’t have to worry about that with me or Eddie,” Chrissy said firmly. “Honestly it’s a relief. I’m not mom material. I never intended to be one. I like being Auntie Chris, but I’ve had to step up since Ethan walked out on them. It’s not fair to Eddie and it’s not fair to me either. So for both of us, having you come in and be that other parental figure in their lives is a huge fucking relief.”
Steve chuckled. “Duly noted.” He threw the balled up towel into a nearby basket. He liked having a place to put his used towels and wash cloths so he could remember to wash them as often as they needed to be.
“He shoots!” Chrissy cheered. “He scores!”
She waved her arms like she had pompoms in them and jumped in the air. Steve laughed.
“I may have played basketball in high school,” he said, a little sheepishly. Judging from the answers at the get to know everyone dinner, it seemed that the family didn’t do sports much and were very nerdy.
She leaned forward and put her hand to the side of her mouth and stage whispered, “And I might have been a cheerleader in high school and college.”
Steve’s interest was suddenly very piqued. “Really? That’s so cool!”
“Yup!” Chrissy said with a nod. “My mom wanted me to go pro, but I got a business degree for a reason and that was to manage the band. Eddie saved me from an emotionally abusive relationship when I went to him for weed and came out of the deal with a best friend.”
“Nice!” Steve said holding his hand out for a fist bump, which she gladly gave. “Me and my best friend met working at this hideously themed ice cream shop. We became friends when the owner tried to burn it down for the insurance but the idiot didn’t stop to think that we would still be cleaning up.”
Chrissy grimaced. But before she could respond her phone started ringing. “Oh shit, that’s Eddie!”
She went dashing out of the room, calling for the girls. Steve followed slower behind as he wasn’t really needed for the bit of that conversation.
As soon as he walked into the room and in view of the camera Eddie called out, “There he is! He survived day one!”
“Day isn’t over with yet,” Steve pointed out with a huff of laughter. “I’m dreading night time. It’s a bath night.”
Eddie and Chrissy both winced.
“Yeah,” Eddie said, “I wasn’t thinking about that when we chose today to leave. Good luck and may Poseidon keep you safe from Scylla and Charybdis.”
“Daddy!” Joan and Janice huffed. “We’re not monsters!”
“I got that reference!” Steve said, snapping his fingers. “Do you girls like Percy Jackson?”
Chrissy burst out laughing. “That would be tamer, but no, this idiot has read them straight up Greek myths.”
“Hey!” Eddie protested from the phone. “I’ll have you know I carefully edited out the worst parts and was sure not to introduce to stories like Oedipus and Circe’s island, thank you very much.”
“I loved hearing about myths and legends when I was a kid,” Steve said with a shrug. “I’m sure the girls are no different.” He turned to Eddie, “if it’s okay with you, I’d like to start reading those books to them.”
Eddie shrugged on the video. “I guess, I mean if they could handle me reading myths to them, they could probably handle that. Just not at night. Night time is for learning. They have a lot of great Sandra Boynton books I would prefer you read to them instead.”
They started talking about other things and soon it was time for Eddie to go. He kissed the screen and said goodbye to the girls.
Steve got them all dressed for some outside play that Janice loved and Joan merely tolerated. As he watched them play in the massive yard, he figured that today could absolutely count as a good day.

Eddie Munson x cheerleader! Reader, Chrissy tried to help her best friend, reader, with her crush, Eddie Munson, but she's very nervous when he's around her, meanwhile, Steve tries to help Eddie with his crush, Reader, but she makes him really nervous, they go to a party, where Reader sees a girl talking with Eddie, she has piercings, tattoos, wears leather and she thinks that Eddie's into that girl and not her, so she goes out of the house and Eddie goes to look after her and tells her that that girl likes Steve, not him, and that she's his cousin and Reader just throws herself at Eddie's arms, and tells him that she was jealous bc she likes him
I hope this is what you wanted and you enjoy it! Thank you for requesting <3
Shy game
Even though Y/N was popular and a cheerleader, had a strong voice and wasn't afraid to speak up. There was one person that made her so nervous that nothing came out of her mouth. Eddie Munson.
"He stares at you all the time! Just talk to him." Chrissy encouraged, once again here she was trying to get her best friend to just talk to Eddie.
"No way! He doesn't want some cheerleader coming up to him." Y/N argued. Eddie was not a fan of the popular crowd or people in general. She saw him shut down many girls before and she didn't want to be added to the list.
"And he probably thinks you wouldn't want him to walk up to you." Chrissy tried to reason with her. But Y/N shook her head.
~~~
"Dude, just talk to her. She's always looking at you. She wouldn't look in your direction if she disliked you." Steve groaned. There were only so many stories Steve could handle listening to about Y/N. But Eddie was too chicken to say anything to her.
"Probably because she thinks I'm a freak like the rest of the popular kids." Eddie groaned, slamming his dead down into his arms on the work counter.
"ow" Eddie said as he rubbed his forehead.
At first, Steve was happy to have Eddie join the family video store, but he didn't know all his shifts would be him talking about Y/N.
Eddie kept his head down as Steve continued to work. Once again his advice went straight out of Eddie's ear. Eddie felt Steve nudging him.... continuously.
"Can you not!" Eddie growled, picking up his head and using his hand to swat at Steve's arm. But then Steve nodded towards the door. Eddie looked and there she was.
Y/N giggled with Chrissy as they walked into the store. It was a Saturday morning, usually, no kids came in until the night shift. For once, Eddie was happy as hell he accepted a morning shift.
Eddie stared as she walked around the store. Her bright smile and pink glossy lips. Even though she was a few feet away, he could smell the sweetness of her perfume.
"Here's your chance! You're just being a helpful employee." Steve said, he shoved Eddie out from behind the counter. Pushing him in the direction of the girls.
"Hi, Eddie!" Chrissy said, loudly into Y/N's ear. A soft nudge from Chrissy as Y/N stood frozen. She bit her lip as she took in Eddie's band T-shirt, the green work vest, and his name tag. His vest was covered in pins of his favorite films. His black jeans and dirty white sneakers.
"Hi!" Eddie said, but his eyes stayed on Chrissy, he was terrified to even look at Y/N. He always felt like an idiot in that stupid work vest and now his crush had her eyes all over it.
"Horror movie fan! Y/N is too!" Chrissy observed from his vest, another nudge. But Y/N couldn't help but notice Eddie's eyes never once looked at her. Of course, he'd like Chrissy, she was perfect and so likable.
"That's sweet." Eddie coughed, his eyes moved to Y/N once, and went back to Chrissy. The small look was enough to make Eddie's heart race and his palms were drenched with sweat.
Eddie felt relief when his watch beeped.
"Time for my break, see ya." He gave a stiff nod and practically ran into the back. Neither girl had a chance to say goodbye.
"See! He barely looked at me." Y/N groaned.
~~~
Finally, the night arrived and Y/N planned to get drunk at Chrissy's party and ignore all the sad feelings she had about Eddie.
She was on the search for her first drink, eagerly pouring her red cup full. She threw in some ice and took in all the people in Chrissy's house.
~~~
Eddie was on his third drink of the night. His cousin Savannah was yapping in his ear about her date with Steve. But all Eddie could focus on was talking to Y/N. He knew he made an idiot of himself earlier and prayed the liquid courage would do all the work for him.
By the time Y/N worked her way into the living room, she found Eddie. But he wasn't alone.
A girl around his height stood across from him. She wore a T-shirt, which showed off her tattoos. She had piercings in her ears, nose, and lip. Y/N couldn't help but realize how much that girl was Eddie's type. The girl even had leather pants and a jacket around her waist. Thick black boots and dark nails. She was the perfect rockstar girlfriend.
Y/N gulped down her drink and raced to the front yard. She could barely see, the tears already welling in her eyes. It was all her fault anyway, Chrissy told her multiple times just to say something. And she refused, because of fear. Now Eddie could be free to anyone he wanted.
Eddie kept his eyes moving around the party and saw a split image of Y/N running out the front. Eddie wasn't sure if the alcohol did its job or if he was worried something happened to her, but he raced out the door behind her.
He found her on the curb, shivering as she held her body. Eddie carefully placed the jacket on her, her head snapped up as he took the spot next to her. He noticed silent tears streaming down her soft face.
"You okay?" He asked. She obviously didn't look okay, but always worth asking.
"Yeah! Just having a little moment." She tried to laugh it off. Even more embarrassed to be crying over a boy and he sat right next to her.
"We all have those! Maybe talking it out will help?" He offered.
"What's your type, Eddie?" Y/N asked, a bit of bitterness in her voice. Eddie was taken aback by the question and how snippy she sounded. "Because this morning, I swore you were checking out Chrissy, but now you are talking to this badass rocker chick. And I don't even know how I'm supposed to be either of them when they are both incredibly different." Y/N forgot how much of a lightweight she was, and hated how fast the liquor made her word vomit.
Eddie was in shock. He never thought he had a type, he just liked pretty girls. He never once thought Steve could be right about something, especially girls. But in this case, Steve was right.
"I wasn't checking out Chrissy. More of using Chrissy as a distraction from how scared I was to look at you. And the girl inside, her name is Savannah and she's my cousin. " Y/N loudly groaned as she covered her face.
"I'm an idiot!" She mumbled into her hands. Eddie laughed and gently removed her hands.
"No, you're not. It makes sense why you thought she'd be my type since she dresses like me and all. But my type is you. Not Chrissy, not rockstar chicks, fuck, not even another cheerleader. Because it's just you and it's always been just you." Eddie finally confessed. He couldn't believe just this morning he couldn't speak a word or look at her. But now he was confessing his love on a dirty curb with horny teenagers in the background.
"Just scared to talk to me?" Y/N asked.
"Yeah."
"I was too." Y/N smiled. But now she realized talking to Eddie was so easy. "I'm sorry for being jealous."
"Nothing to be sorry for. It was kinda hot." Eddie teased, a small wink as he threw his arm over her shoulder. The wink sent butterflies in her stomach as she giggled and moved closer to his body.
"How about a date? We can talk about all the things we were too scared to do." Eddie offered.
"I'd love that." Y/N smiled.
~~~
Steve smiled from the front door as he watched the two cuddle close.
Chrissy next to him with a proud smirk on her face.
"I did that." They said at the same time. Both dropped their smiles and looked at each other offended.
"You? No I did!" They said again at the same time.
"I DID!"
"I DID!"

Kings of the World: Caribbean Waves
Kai knew he was far above the rest. Born into money and power, he got everything he wanted, exactly when he wanted it. Women, cars, planes, food... all at the drop of a dime. He dressed in designer suits, which he constantly bragged about the price of. He wanted the whole world to bow to him, and worship the very ground he walked on.
This leads to Kai's 22nd birthday party, taking place in the Bahamas. He had invited five of his wealthiest friends, the only people he deemed worthy of associating with. They had spent the entire month on Kai's father's dime with women, watersports, booze, and dice, all leading up to one final drinking night on Kai's actual day of birth aboard his luxury yacht, moored to a private island. The party was too much: strippers dotted the decks, fireworks went off every half hour, loud music floated about, and poker chips poured like honey. Kai himself sat at the head table with his five rich friends.
"Here's to one more year of life!" Kai cheered, his voice slurring.
"Hear, hear!" His friends replied, and they all chugged down their liquor like it was water.
"Alright, guys, I've got the next round coming!" Kai shouted, as he dashed back to the bar... only something was amiss.
The scantily-dressed barwoman was nowhere to be seen. Instead, an absolute giant of an irishman stood behind the bar, dancing to the beat of the music. He wore no shirt, just a bowtie with a nametag reading "Dom," and short shorts, accentuating his enormous muscles. An easy smile sat on his face, accented by the enormous emerald earring in his right ear. Just by being in the room with the man, Kai felt a need to compete with him.
"Where's Chrissy?" Kai asked, a simmer of anger in his voice.
"Ach, she was feeling a tad ill, so she came to fetch me." The bartender replied in a soothing Irish accent. "Watcha looking for tonight?"
"Something powerful and special." Kai said. "You'd know a thing or two about that."
The bartender's smile twitched. "I think I got just the thing for a birthday boy like you. Little something from back home, you aught to enjoy it."
The bartender turned around, and started pouring a variety of liquors into a shaker, then dancing to mix it all up. Kai couldn't stop looking at his ass: while Kai was incredibly straight, he could easily tell that this man had a great, bouncy bubble butt. His pecs too were incredible, the girls should be all over him-- why weren't they?
The bartender brought the shaker right up to his enormous left pec, opened it up, and dumped something in it that Kai couldn't see. He then presented the drink into a tall tankard. It was a sparkling emerald green, unlike any drink Kai had seen before.
"What is this shit?" Kai groaned.
"Special recipe of mine. You'll learn to make it yourself, someday."
"As if. People make my drinks, not the other way around."
Kai took a big swing of the emerald drink, chugging it all in one go. Instantly, he could feel his insides bubbling.
"Did you poison me?!" Kai screamed, but was inaudible over the clamor of the party.
"Nope." The bartender said. "Enjoy." And with that, he vanished.
Kai ran to the restroom as his muscles began burning and pulsing with new strength. He could barely make it to the bathroom before he began to shake, shiver, moan, and grow.
As Kai grew, a single thought entered his head.
My behavior is not suited for a King.
----------
Kai's friends were starting to wonder where their leader had gone, when suddenly, a single text appeared on their phones.
Kai: Everyone, come down to the island. There's someone you need to meet.
The group stumbled to the beach, where a single man awaited them, carrying four drinks with him. He was enormous, seven feet tall, and was a stunning example of peak masculinity. He was clearly from the islands around here: his beautiful, dark skin reflected the setting sun perfectly, while saltwater trickled through his tight curls, mustache, and goatee. His gigantic, bouncy, fuckable pecs sat atop a tight muscle gut, indented with the turtle-shell pattern of abs. His biceps outsized his head, and were crisscrossed with a pattern of veins showing his strength. His legs would have been incredibly oversized on any other man, but on him, they were glorious, perfect cylinders striated with pure strength, able to cut through water with ease. His ass was a perfect breeding site for any cock able to work its way past his thick muscle cheeks. An inviting aroma of saltwater and musk wafted from him, beckoning the boys over. It assaulted their nostrils, the scent unimpeded by clothes, for this beach hunk wore only a speedo and a necklace of purest silver. It smelled divine, and although these boys were straight before, this musk was worth far more than any feeble heterosexuality. They almost climbed over each other to get closer to the man.
"Now, now," The beach hunk said. "We can take me in some other time; I'm not the important one here. What is important, is you."
"What do you mean?" One of the rich boys asked. "You're perfect!"
"And you can be too." The beach hunk replied. "You boys want a drink?"
"Yes?" Another rich boy said.
"I made them myself," The beach hunk said, gesturing to the drinks in his hands. They gleamed a pure silver, like liquid mercury.
"From this big boy down here." He continued, patting the massive cock straining to break free of his speedo.
By this point, every single boy had a raging-hard on. They needed to know what this man tasted like. They dashed over to the beach hunk, and each grabbed a glass from the man's enormous hands, and drank the whole thing in one gulp each.
Instantly, their bodies expanded. Their thighs grew from twigs to tree trunks, laced with power. Their arms mirrored their King's, bursting with strength the size of coconuts. Their abs, one by one, popped into existence, forming tight eight-packs on all of their cores.
Soon, one boy started noticing how hot his neighbor was getting. While the beach hunk was a true being of masculinity, his friend was definitely becoming capable of rivaling him. He reached over to his friend's chest, and touched his nipple--
And suddenly, his friend's chest ballooned past almost every letter of the alphabet with mass, growing larger and darker and more sensitive, until his pecs were just as bouncy and voluptuous as his King's.
"B-bro..." He moaned. "I... I need you to touch them..."
His fellow transformee showed no slowness as he latched his rapidly-expanding hands onto his friend's enormous muscle tits, pawing and kneading the muscle and nipple. His friend moaned with pleasure. How could his chest feel so good?
The other two had noticed what their friends were doing, and immediately joined in. One began worshipping another's ass, while the final one began giving his friend a blowjob. Soon, their asses and dicks had all expanded into pillars and beautiful mounds of dark flesh, sensitive and plush, perfect for kneading. The friends grew closer and closer together, their hair darkening and tightening as they went, until they had all become a massive literal clusterfuck. Each man was sucking a nipple, taking a dick, fucking an ass, all in the most intense pleasure any of them had ever felt in their life.
Though, eventually, it was all too much. They felt their load coming right from their new enormous bull balls... and they just couldn't hold it any longer. In a burst of cum, they all released each other, panting on the sand in their beautiful new forms.
King Kai knew his new boys would make great citizens of his kingdom, but there was still much work to be done. He would go about this subtly, with his own line of drinks laced with kingly fluid. Soon, the islands would be peaceful, and everyone would live freely and without strife.

--------------------------------------------
“You ever think about leaving this place?”
“What, Hawkins?”
“Yeah.”
Steve and Chrissy were hiding under the bleachers, waiting for the school to clear out for the day. This was only their second time hanging out together, but Steve hadn’t had this much fun in years.
“I guess. It just doesn’t seem like it’ll happen for me.”
They were sitting across from each other, whispering in case there were any stragglers in the gym, Chrissy still in her cheerleader uniform from practice and Steve freshly showered from basketball practice.
Jason had left with his friends a while ago, so there probably wasn’t much of a reason to stay hidden, but neither of them wanted to deal with him if he came back.
“I have to get out.”
She said it so seriously, Steve wasn’t sure how to respond at first.
Luckily, she continued to explain before he had to.
“If I stay, my future is picked out for me. I’ll graduate, marry Jason, work as a secretary somewhere and have two or three kids that I don’t want. I won’t even get to go to college.”
“Do you want to?”
Chrissy blushed and looked down.
“I wanna be a vet. But my mom told me I can’t. Too much school and she thinks Jason will find someone else and then I’ll be alone.”
“You could find someone at school! That’s so stupid. Your mom sounds stupid.”
Chrissy gave him a small smile in agreement.
“She thinks it’s the life I want.”
“Well, let’s say you get out of here and become a vet. What else does your life look like?”
“Hm.” She tapped her fingers against her knee, then beamed at him. “I’d marry Eddie Munson and he’d bring me backstage on his tours.”
This made Steve pause.
“Eddie Munson? Why him?”
“He’s amazing. He’s cute, and nice, and different. He wants to leave here and be someone. He’s brave.”
Steve agreed. Of course, he didn’t know how to say so without giving away that he’d had a crush on Eddie for months. That was new for him; liking men, admitting that he liked men, knowing the man he liked was Eddie.
Chrissy was looking at him expectantly. He didn’t know what to say.
“What do you think about him?”
Something about the way she asked set alarm bells off in his head. Nobody knew about him liking guys the way he liked girls. It wasn’t exactly safe for others to know.
“I mean, he seems a little odd. But yeah, he seems nice.”
She squinted her eyes at him before looking away, her eyes finding a spot behind him to focus on as she spoke.
“You know I have a cousin, Brad, who has a partner a lot like Eddie. He’s not allowed at family stuff, but I write him letters sometimes and he sends some to me through a friend.”
“Oh.”
“So if you maybe thought Eddie was cute too…”
“What? What makes you think I think he’s cute?”
“Hey, calm down. I was just saying if you liked him, I’d be a safe person to tell, that’s all.”
Steve’s body relaxed. He didn’t have to know Chrissy that well to know she wouldn’t lie about that.
“I-”
“You also don’t have to tell me or anyone. It’s up to you.”
“I do think he’s cute. In an annoying way.”
There. That wasn’t so bad.
Chrissy was smiling at him, reaching a hand over to his knee to squeeze it.
“You should ask him out.”
“What.”
Okay, Chrissy was a smart girl. Surely, she understood why he couldn’t do that.
“Yeah! I bet he’d say yes. Who wouldn’t?”
“Any guy I ask out!”
“Not Eddie. I’m pretty sure he’s into both.”
“What makes you think that?”
“Just a hunch,” Chrissy shrugged.
“Do you have evidence for your hunch or are you just hoping I get punched in the face?”
Chrissy rolled her eyes at his dramatics. Maybe he was being dramatic, but not that dramatic.
“Not exactly. I’ve just seen him at a bar that’s known for being a safe place for people who may swing in different directions.”
“And what were you doing there?” He raised a brow in question.
“I was testing a hunch.”
“You and your hunches.”
“I was right about this one!”
“And what was that hunch?”
“That I liked girls.”
Steve didn’t know what to say. Chrissy Cunningham was like him?
“Oh. So you’re…”
“Yeah. That’s how I guessed you were. And how I’m guessing that Eddie is too.”
“Maybe. I think you’d have a better shot, though.”
Chrissy shrugged. “I think you should ask him out at graduation.”
“What? Step on stage to get my diploma and declare my love? That sounds like a move he would do, not me.”
“No. But after. Maybe invite him to the diner to celebrate.”
“What about you?”
“What about me? I’ve got Jason. Eddie’s gonna be out of this place as soon as he can. He shouldn’t have to wait on me.”
“You have just as much of a shot with him as I do.”
Chrissy thought for a moment before she gave him a soft smile.
“I think you two have a chance at something. Pinky promise me you’ll try?”
Steve held out his pinky and latched it with Chrissy’s.
He would try for her, but he wouldn’t let himself consider a future with Eddie.

everyone was sword fighting in her mouth.
Perv!Mean!Bully!Eddie Munson x Bimbo!thick!latina reader
A/N:*INHALES LOUDLY* I cannot stand the lack of people, writing for latina's, SO I'm just gonna write myself *grins evil like*, but with a twist, HEATHERS AU!!, Eddie is ram Sweeney bc he's my fav, and reader is like Veronica Sawyer in the situation :P, Chrissy is heather McNamara, Nancy is heather duke, heather Halloway is heather Chandler!
WARNINGS: SMUT!!, NONCON,drugging ,impiled oral sex(F only), virgin reader!, PIV
you wonder how your life would be if you stayed in New Jersey, you sighed as you unloaded your boxes to your new house.. well trailer, you and your papa have been slightly struggling, your pink suitcase was heavy so your papa came to help, it wasn't a shabby trailer it was quite expensive, 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom was okay for you and your dad.
Now it was your first day , you've been to racists schools your whole life, casually getting rude remarks on your weight and race, but ever since you moved away from Hawkins temporarily, you can't shake the thrill of coming back!, you struggled, to slide your white skirt on, you made sure your thong wasn't peaking out so your dad wouldn't see, you put on a lacy white bra obviously!! a push up, a pink tube top,and cute black backpack a bow on the zipper!
When you arrived you got loads of flattering and a few un-flattered looks, you just looked at your schedule, you go to your locker number
seeing a woman already there, but the sudden turn around revealed a long-haired man, "Whats with the staring, baby doll?" he chirped,
"my apologies, I'm confused on how to open my locker? I forgot how, I use to be at this school I just moved but came back for personal family issues", he looks you and up down scanning your hot thick body up n down,
"you ain't new then?". you nod meekly, "ah okay, well let me tell ya sweetheart I don't recall seeing you 'round these halls" he says while pulling a cigarette out, you look away embarrassed,
"I was slightly overweight, glasses and baggy clothes..i-i was called chunky y/n.." you say stuttering,
he looks at you "oh now I know you, you looked HIDEOUS, those glasses were not for you" he says chuckling, his smile fading seeing your face form a frown,
"is a pretty face and body all that matters to you?"you say annoyed,
"well, what else is there to offer?", you scoff and storm away, fucking guy judging your body fucking looking at you like a pervert.
you skip your 3rd period class, your lip liner was fading, fashion emergency!, you reapply your lip-gloss as 3 girls walk in, one of them goes into a stall and forces themselves to throw up, another girl trails behind another, LOUD RETCHING NOISES, "god Nancy hurry up!" the main girl shouts checking her pores
a teacher walks in to use the restroom, "what are you lady's doing out of class??", you were quick to write fake passes after you recognized your first period teacher's handwriting and signature, you quickly hand the 3 girls one and say
"um Ms Burn-ham gave us each a bathroom note" you show the teacher, "oh very well you ladies stay out of trouble" she said as she exited the bathroom
"sick forgery, thanks for helping" the main one says, "the name's Heather Holloway, i'm pretty popular, among the school",
the second one chirps up, "ugh didn't even bother to introduce us Heather, i'm Nancy wheeler, and this is Chrissy Cunningham", Chrissy waves shyly,
"I see you being a popular girl stick with me and you'll be on top of the other low-life losers" heather says wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
a month has gone by heather wasn't fully wrong you were popular with her guidance, But so much people noticed you finally, even that sick pervert hasn't stopped trying, you were laying lazily on your bed, and get a call from Chrissy, "y/n I need help i'm at the cemetery"
before you could respond Chrissy hangs up you made your way to the cemetery, you see Chrissy in her car
, "uh why is uh Eddie munson passed out?" you questioned
"well nancy, steve, eddie, and I were ya know hanging out and they dung into the booze, then Nancy and Steve were together and Eddie tried hooking up with me..and he wouldn't stop trying to grope me..." she says blankly
"so after all this happened why'd you call me??" you say tugging at your annoying socks
"oh well that was the deal, if I called you Eddie promised to leave me alone"
"SO you avoided date rape by volunteering ME for date rape?"
"gosh you make it sound so ugly"
eddie groans drunkly, "HEYYYY Y/NNN, I WAITED HOURS FOR YOU!!"
he passed out, Nancy comes from Steve's car, him attached to her while she buttons her skirt, "Chrissy, open the door" she says sharply
"UGHH don't leave me like this baby!!" Steve whines. he lays on the grounded passing along-side Eddie
Eddie rises, when Chrissy and Nancy drive away, "so you're my reward huh" he says says while smirking
"as if , you have a left hand use it" you reply with disgust you hear a noise off in the distance looking away.
he whimpers, but replies, "there's some alchol left?" he was quick to slip in a roofie
"welp this Friday was shit i'll take it" you chug it down
"I don't feel so awesome" you pass out but Eddie catches you
"oh trust me sweetheart you will soon.."
your eyes flutter open, still in a ditzy unable to move trance, you feel an odd stomach twisting feeling between your thighs, a long- haired man between your thick thighs, you cry as he shoves fingers into you, you gush out more slick and cum
"fucking naughty girl, getting her tiny unused cunt violated, n getting wet off it, pathetic" he says degrading you
you whimper, and try moving or screaming unable to from the roofies effects, he tugs his boxers down, aligning his cock to your virgin cunt, you sniffle as he shoves his cock in, he thrusts uncaring if you're enjoying it
"so fucking tight, mmm yea just for me, fucking bitch you rejected me??, I don't fucking think so, you are enjoying this you're clenching go ahead slut, cum for me, cum on my cock"
you sqeaul and cream on his cock. after this everything fades to black
you awaken in your bedroom, you walk into your bathroom, hickeys everywhere, bruises, you sniffle knowing it wasn't a dream..
you arrive at school seeing Nancy cleaning out heather Holloway's locker, you heard she was kidnapped by billy who also died or dissappeared,
"jeez what are you rummaging for??" you say
"a little respect, I'm cleaning out a loved ones locker" Nancy scowls at you
"I don't think heather would want you going through her stuff-"
"lets not focus on me right now, more about your new reputation, Eddie n Steve have been telling the whole school about a scandalous little three way last night after Chrissy and I left" she said smirking
"there was no three way, I don't even recall doing anything with either of them-" you get off by the boys giggling
"THEY"RE WAS A BIG SWORD FIGHT IN HER MOUTH DUDE!!"
"MY BIG SALAMI BENT HER LIKE ORIGAMI!!" they both cheered
you ran into the bathroom crying terribly.. it was just a rumor but what could you do..
possible part 2?

The one thing that everyone seems to know about Eddie Munson is that when he's not out touring the world with his band, Corroded Coffin, he makes a point to be as invisible as possible in order to spend time at home with his family. Eddie, along with his wife Chrissy of seven years and their two young children, graciously invited Vogue into their Hollywood Hills home that's about as secluded as you can get while still having that coveted Los Angeles zip code.
Vogue: I have to admit, given what I've seen of Corroded Coffin on stage, I think I expected your home to reflect a bit more of that personality.
Eddie Munson: [laughs] You can thank Chrissy for that. She's the brains behind this whole operation, I just do what she tells me.
So there's no hidden dungeon in the basement?
Hate to burst your bubble, but nope. I've been trying to get a sacrificial altar for the backyard, but I haven't found one I liked yet.
Really?
[laughs] I'm kidding. But I had you going, right?
You really did. But that's what you've always done, right? Leaned into the mania of Satanic Panic and made it work for you?
Yeah, I guess so. I mean, people are gonna believe whatever they wanna believe anyway so I might as well give 'em what they want, right? Plus, [laughs] it's a hell of a lot of fun.
What's it like having that devil-worshipper stage persona with two young kids at home? Do either of your kids know what their dad does for a living?
Oh, yeah. They [redacted] love it. Wait, can I say [redacted]?
We can't print it, but you can say it.
[Redacted] yeah. Our little one doesn't really get the whole stage thing yet, but she sure looks cute in those big-ass headphones.
And your other daughter?
Oh, if she could be on stage with me every night, she would be. On our last tour, we had this gimmick where Gareth rigged a bunch of blood packs to his drums to explode during the encore and she thought it was the coolest [redacted] thing in the world. He even offered to let her do it when we were in rehearsals!
And did she?
Maybe.
From the look on your face, I'm guessing she did.
[laughs] Don't tell Chrissy.
Scout's honor. Until this article comes out, anyway.
[Redacted]. Is it too late to say off the record?
Way too late.
[Redacted]. Oh well. Worth it. She had the biggest [redacted] grin on her face when she was covered in fake blood, it was priceless.
Seems like you might be raising a mini version of yourself. Would you support your kids following in your footsteps and joining the music industry?
[Editor's note: At this point in the interview, the eldest Munson child came running out of the back door and pounced on her father, who took it in stride and continued answering questions as though he didn't have a six-year-old hanging over his shoulder.]
I mean, if that's what they wanna do, then hell yeah.
[gasps] Daddy said a bad word!
Daddy did not, Daddy said hell.
Mommy said hell's a bad word.
Mommy also said you were supposed to stay inside, didn't she?
Pip was crying. She misses you.
Do you need a moment?
[laughs] Believe me, if I took a moment for every time I wanted to be with my kids, I'd never get anything done.
Because you love us so much?
Exactly.
How much?
To the moon and back.
That's a lot!
Sure is, kiddo. Now shush and let the nice lady ask her questions.
Ooh, ask me! Ask me! I got lots of stories.
If you don't mind?
It's your funeral. [laughs] She'll talk your ear off if you let her.
What do you think about your dad being a rockstar?
[shrugs] It's okay.
Wow, thanks for the endorsement, kid. You heard it here first: being a rockstar is just okay.
Would you rather he had another job?
[shrugs] What other job?
I dunno. Playing music's the only thing I've ever been good at.
Nuh-uh! Daddy's good at lots of things.
Like what?
Telling stories. Playing with me. One time, he built me a big castle out of pillows and chairs and blankets and we played in it all day 'til Mommy said it was time for dinner. And then we all went to bed in it. Like camping!
Camping? When did you go camping?
Mommy let us sleep outside and said it was like camping. It was when you were gone. I don't like when you're gone. It makes Mommy sad. And then I'm sad. And Pip's sad. You're not going away again, are you?
No, baby. I'm staying right here with you.
Good. [to Vogue] Do you wanna see what Daddy brought home for me last time he went away?
I'd love to.
Okay!
[Editor's note: just as quickly as she came, Munson's daughter ran off to go fetch the present from inside the house.]
Do you need a minute?
Nah. It just… [sighs] never gets easier, you know? Hearing how much they miss me when I'm gone. I miss them all the [redacted] time.
I'm not surprised. Just from the last five minutes, I can see how much she adores you and I can't imagine what it's like to leave that behind, even when it's to go on a worldwide tour.
It's tough. I love my job, don't get me wrong. It's what's given us this house, all the [redacted] that the girls need, anything they could ever want, but… [shrugs] I dunno. Sometimes giving it all up doesn't sound half as hard as leaving them is. Maybe that's just me being ungrateful.
I don't think so. I think it means you're human. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, you know? Torn between two worlds.
[laughs] Now there's an idea for an album. The dichotomy of being a rockstar and a father.
I'd listen to it.
Hell, so would I.
(might continue this with a lil follow-up fic of chrissy and eddie reading the interview before it goes to print... thoughts? 👀)

Chris McLean As Your Ex
✎: My second Chrissy blog 🙈 it ain’t my fault he’s so bbg. (ex!Chris x f!reader) (Celebrity Reader)
♡Summary: Chris still has feelings for you after you broke up. Now he’s going to do everything in his power to win you back.
WARNINGS: Language, (toxic?) relationship, mild anxiety, arguing, angst, fluff, (catcalling?😭) smut next chapter and not really proofread. :(
════ ⋆★⋆ ════
The day you met your ex-boyfriend Chris McLean was the day your picture-perfect life turned to shambles, or maybe it was the minute you agreed to host with him on his sadistic show… You were too busy to remember.
After filming another successful episode of your talk show: ‘Icons Unveiled', infamously known for it’s ‘unique’ contestants, (which is why people loved it so much) - the drama, fights and scandals discussed on your popular talk show are the main factors why people religiously tuned in. From a fourteen-year-old fanboy that became known online for hardcore obsessing over you, to an iconic personality with everyday petty drama that’s publicised way too often: GlamZoe.
And today’s episode featured a well-known kid influencer, Big Mia, and her ‘best friend’ Isabella, who blasted her secrets online for clout. Their feud only escalated, despite their ironic intention of 'peacefully hashing it out'.
“You’re calling me stupid? Bitch you were dumb enough to tell me all about yo’ shit in the first place. How ‘bout that?” Isabella disdainfully yelled, swiftly flipping her hair behind her shoulder.
“You only have clout because of me, know your place.” Big Mia retorted.
The audience erupted in applause, laughter, and audible gasps as a result of their vulgar responses.
“And? everyone likes me more than you anyways, so…”
“Guys - let’s relax, you came on here to bless this beef, not open a butcher shop.” You quipped, taking a sip of coffee from your signature ‘Icons Unveiled’ mug. The steam emitting from the mug fogged your Versace sunglasses, making you place them on your head.
“I’m gonna fight this hoe outside, how about that?” Big Mia asserted, rising from her seat as she tied her hair in a few sharp motions. Instinctively, security had to restrain her and ensure she remained seated. You noticed most fights were embellished by the participants for two reasons: you, a known and highly admired celebrity were witnessing it all unfold, and the instigating noisy audience: bloodthirsty for any scandal. People would do anything to Y/N L/N’s attention, anything.
You couldn’t refrain from seeing yourself and Chris in their thoughtless arguing, there was this one specific argument that was the final blow to your unhealthy relationship:
“Chris, we can’t keep hiding from talking about it. The fans are concerned, we need to address this situation openly.”
“We can’t risk making things worse by giving it more attention, they don’t need to know every detail.”
“But that’s the problem! they’re not stupid, they’ll eventually find out and they’ll lose trust in-“
“Trust me, I’ve been handling this for a long time. It’s better to let things settle on their own.”
“So have I! You’re not the only one, Chris. I’ll politely remind you I’m famous as well.”
“I know that… I know. I just can’t when you-“
“When I what? Am I just a distraction?”
That back-and-forth conversation went on and on… until it transitioned into an argument before even realising it.
“Changing our approach could backfire, Y/N! It will affect the ratings!”
“Ratings ratings ratings, that’s all you seem to care about!”
“I have to! Why don’t you don’t get it.”
“Tell me something, Chris. Who would you pick, me… or the ratings? The amazing fantastic ratings you can’t stop thinking about.”
“Y/N, just… fucking listen to me. You’re choosing to ignore me,"
In hindsight, your power couple relationship was really toxic. Instead of talking it out or apologising to one another, you just had sex. Which is exactly what you did after that argument, (yes, the same argument that made you breakup). You shouldn’t have to fuck or kiss someone to prove that you ‘love’ them, that’s a commonly known fact. Yet it seemed like your relationship didn’t get the message.
But your viewers were going to be thoroughly entertained by tonight’s episode, that’s for sure. As the bathtub’s floral, sweet-scented warm water soothed you, you enjoyed every second of the chaotic scene unfolding on your iPhone, making you feel amused and mildly exhausted. People never mention how drama is better tenfold when you’re actually witnessing it, front-row seats and all. Their animated gestures and exaggerated words only further enhanced their bickering. Soon enough, the speculations on social media were flooding in - so were your pay cheques.
You couldn’t resist but chuckle at the absurdity of it all. Midway through the episode - just as they were about to reach the boiling point on your screen - your phone rang causing your heart to skip a beat. Nobody ever called you, the only exception was if it was undeniably crucial. Everyone understood how busy you were and the demands of your time. So when your phone chimed, that signalled something demanded immediate attention - the last thing you generously handed out.
The caller ID displayed ‘Liam Harrison’, your agent. You knew this wasn’t going to be just another casual conversation - he’d usually try to mask it as one before delivering bad news to you.
“Y/N?” he spoke, in that familiar gravelly voice you were unfortunately used to.
“Yes, this is she.” You laid back in your back tub and scarcely crossed your legs, mentally preparing for what was about to hit you.
“Tonight’s episode … crazy, right?” He said, a sense of relief lacing his words. Essentially because it was you who picked up the phone - not your voice note that he was unfortunately used to. You immediately picked up on the tone of his words and the slight relief present in them, It would be rare for anyone else to have picked up on this, but you were discreetly intuitive.
“Mmm,” you hummed in response.
“Right, erm, so I’m sure you’re aware of the high demand and the public being visibly upset about your absence on Total Drama.”
“Fuck me…” you muttered as you massaged your temples. Your anxiety gnawed at your thoughts, making you toy with your hair as you listened. As Liam presented his case, the high demand, phenomenal ratings, substantial income - the best part of it all: the increased fame.
You were focusing on the coffee mug that sat on the edge of your bathtub as you inattentively listened, it would always be comfortably cupped in your hands for every single episode as you watched scandals unfold, the viewers always called it ‘iconic’. Its pink interior contrasted the pristine white exterior, ‘Icons Unveiled’ etched onto the surface in a delicate font, this globally adored mug had soon gained a life of its own. It became so popular that it would be more rare to see someone who didn’t have your mug than to see someone who did.
Your business-savvy mindset embodied your influence, the minute you put them on sale it was even titled ‘The long-awaited merchandise masterpiece’, and it sold out in under half a minute. ‘Skyrocketing’ would be an understatement to describe how the sales performed - and it wasn’t just that, you sold coffee blends crafted to your taste, cute matching sets with your infamous catchphrase: ‘Getting up, close and personal with the icons!” and so on. Amidst your racing thoughts and tremors of anxiety, you realised something. Your smart business decisions pushed you so far ahead in the entertainment industry, something even Chris, (with all his charisma), hadn’t managed to accomplish yet.
“Y/N, what do you say?”
The abrupt noise enticed you to faintly jump, being so lost in your never-ending thoughts made you completely forget the disheartening situation you were in. You knew the moment you said ‘Yes.’ was the moment you sold your soul to the devil, to your demise to you have no other choice.
“I can’t wait,” you stated, not sounding as confident as you intended to.
“Great. We will be handling the contracts, drafting, legal approvals… all that stuff. As well as the promotional campaign to build anticipation for your appearance.”
“I appreciate it.”
“Goodnight, Ms. (L/N).”
“Night, Liam.” You hung up and your iPhone automatically resumed Icons Unveiled, you absentmindedly watched as your mind was in a completely different place.
The recruitment made sense so you couldn’t be too upset about it, when two wealthy and famous personalities collide, the mesmerising sparks are inevitable. You’ve built countless businesses just by having people on your show, you were consistent and dedicated to your craft, and some may say that you had it easy - that you were rich the moment you were born and got everything you wanted, luxuries and riches were an everyday thing. You played your cards right, became rich and famous, and were worshipped worldwide. Your alluring and humble personality made you hard to ignore giving your universal appeal, evoking envy and admiration from others in the entertainment industry.
Maybe this was what led to your breakup - your wits and marketing techniques may have triggered Chris to be slightly envious. But you weren’t innocent either; as his fame grew over time so did your jealousy. You weren’t exactly the jealous type, though. But the constant comparisons, busy schedules and fans feeding his already indestructible ego ignited something in you that you never knew was there.
On the other hand, he started feeling uneasy about your immense success. Chris was mainly looked down upon, but viewers kept tuning in as they were in a trance by the cruel ideas he came up with. You positively influenced your fans (or so they thought), but deep down you were just like him. You hated admitting it but you were both equally insane, you were made for each other. The spotlight that shone on you made him question whether he could measure up to your achievements, and he hated that.
════ ⋆★⋆ ════
After a long yacht journey, you arrived at Camp Wawanakwa; your new dreadful and thankfully temporary home. An isolated island with an untamed forest, towering trees and tepid cabins. The air’s musk had an earthy scent of moss and decaying leaves, the nostalgic smell that without warning brought you back to when you previously hosted.
As you stepped out of the lavish yacht, nervousness and excitement churred in your stomach. Chef, Chris’s loyal assistant, greeted you with a warm smile.
“You look just as young as I last saw you,” he chuckled in that familiar thick and passionate voice. Chef afforded you a reassuring pat on the back as he helped you with your luggage.
Although the campers were confined to their cabins until filming began, you could sense the excitement from the peeks you caught through the cabin windows. Whispers, screeches and a few wolf whistles followed you as Chef guided you to ‘The Chris Crib’.
You couldn’t resist but to wave at the girl's cabin, and blow a platonic kiss to the boys.
“Oh my God! Y/N L/N waved at me!”
“No, she waved at me! We all saw it!”
“Shut up - she waved at all of us.”
“Boys… she clearly digs us.”
“Yeah, did you see the way she blew that kiss?”
“She’s so fucking hot, I need her in my bed.”
When you entered the ‘Chris Crib’, (which looked way better than the worn-out cabins, very typical of Chris) the first thing you did was walk into your room to unpack your bags, not even bothering to greet …him. Your room was left untouched and Chris's faint scent lingered; a subtle sweet-smelling cologne. You caught sight of some lingering items you left behind.
You changed into your pyjamas, a silky white spaghetti top paired with satin shorts. After a brief moment, you picked up on the faint sound of his voice, your nosiness forcing you to overhear. He spoke in a hushed tone about how he couldn’t get you out of his head - how he still loved you and wanted to see you. Yeah, right. With the way he treated you? Sure he did. He can keep lying to himself if that’s what helps him sleep at night after tormenting innocent teenagers.
But the weight of your emotions and the relentless grip of anxiety had been tightening around you for weeks, pulling you into a tornado of racing thoughts. Today was no different, you found yourself lost in thought, sitting in your bathtub - the one inside the bathroom which was connected to your bedroom, you were still fully clothed in your PJs. You didn't even bother to lock any doors, so anyone could walk in at any given moment. A rumour on socials spread like wildfire about Icons Unveiled being staged, making your viewers worried and doubting you and your show.
Maybe you actually were just like Chris? You cared too much about what the fans thought. More than you think you should - but it was reasonable - they were your source of income. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s okay, your team would handle it, right? It’s all going to be okay. But this subtly affected your episode’s performances, some days you were better at hiding your inner emotions than others but the speculations made it ten times more difficult. This coupled with the continuous pressure to serve content was a lethal combo. You were grappling with the mounting burnout that had begun to take a toll on your physical and mental health.
The announcement of co-hosting TDI was a cruel twist of fate, a decision driven more by the demands than your own desires. As you wrestled with your thoughts, your racing heart gave way to a full-blown panic attack. Your audible heartbeat and heavy breathing and an overwhelming urge to just escape… You felt as if these were your last moments, as if these were your last breaths, last heartbeats.
This situation couldn’t get any worse until Chris walked in, you didn’t even want to look at him. Your wet hair draped over your shoulders and shielded your face, yet you could still sense a worried and concerned expression on his face. He’s seen this happen before - you had odd ways of coping, the one he was most used to was drowning yourself in your thoughts in any accessible bathtub. He saw your vulnerability and offered a steadying hand like he was reminding you that you weren’t alone.
“Hey, hey - take deep breaths,” His voice was gentle yet reassuring. He knelt beside you, and even though your pyjamas had turned completely see-through, he placed one hand comfortably around your back.
“I’ve got you, alright? You’re safe here.”
You reluctantly nodded, trying to focus on his words as your heart’s abnormally fast rate gradually decreased. But you couldn’t prevent the tears streaming down your face, tracing a scorching path along your cheek. The once bubbly and vibrant colour of your eyes was killed by the bloodshot hue, your breath hitched in your throat, catching on the sobs that wrecked your body. Each gasp for air was a painful reminder of the tightness gripping your chest.
“Panic attacks are tough, you’ve faced harder challenges. Remember that time you nailed that live episode? You’ve got this, listen to my voice.” he continued, his tone steady.
You always liked listening to his voice, so that would be simple enough task. It was husky and satisfying to the ears; it effortlessly put you to sleep on multiple occasions. You mentally recalled the day you had a panic attack before filming a segment for Icons Unveiled, three of your team members spent what felt felt like fifteen painstakingly slow minutes trying to calm you down. When it was Chris, him being there for only a minute or a few seconds would have you feeling much more serene.
You closed your eyes, trying to heed his words. You haven’t met his gaze once this whole time, avoiding revisiting the memories you shared just by simply looking at him. His presence was like an anchor, bringing you to reality amid the chaos in your mind. As your breathing slowed, his hand never left your side. “This will pass, you’ve got the power to overcome it.”
Finally, your words escaped your lips, and the grip you had on his other hand tightened as if your life depended on it, which heavily contradicted your next statement:
“I hate you.” The words were tremulous and engulfed with tension, yet your gaze told a different story. He knew you better than you realised - the emotional whirlwind that was happening inside you, and the conflicting feelings.
He hated (when I say hated I mean hated) seeing you in this state, struggling to fight an extremely challenging battle was so hard for him to see. He knew deep down it was because of him, which made him feel way worse. In that look you gave him, he sensed your frustration and appreciation. The Y/N way of acknowledging his presence when words weren’t enough.
No, he doesn't genuinely care... he's crazy. Crazy would be an understatement to factually describe him, you've seen the shit he pulls on his show. Chris is an emotionless man - in your scenario, it was all different. You give him emotions he's never felt before.
He gently tucked a few stray strands of hair behind your ear, his fingers lingering momentarily. His voice was a soft barely audible whisper,
“I know.”

Hi! I don't know if you do requests right now because you're probably working on a lot of upcoming projects, so don't feel pressured to write my request. I just can't get this idea out of my head; it's been on my mind for almost a week now. So, who better to ask than my favorite writer?! Anyways, reader recently came out as bisexual and is now in her first relationship with a woman, Chrissy, who's also bisexual. She is still new to the sexual experience with a woman, so Chrissy helps her out. I hope that's enough information for you to work with 💜
A/N: Okay, this has been sitting in my inbox forever, and my other projects unfortunately got in the way. But it's here, finally! I hope you enjoy it, I've never written Chrissy this way before! And I haven't written as much WLW fic as I'd like, so hopefully this doesn't suck! Thanks again for requesting, and *blush* thanks for saying I'm your favorite, it means a lot 💜

“Just relax, baby. Let me make you feel good.” Chrissy says as she looms over you on the couch in her apartment. Her eyes peer into yours, confident and reassuring. Your comfortable smile matches her own, the two of you having downed a nice meal of pasta and red wine before cozying up to watch a movie you'd rented. Of course, the film became far less interesting than each other's mouths rather quickly. And now, she's got you safely caged in, her body slotted between your thighs as her gaze offers you the world.
You've been seeing each other for a couple months after an initial blind date, courtesy of your friends. That went as awkward as one could imagine, complete with fumbling hands and a drink spilled on someone’s blouse. But once the ball got rolling, sparks began to fly between you in no time at all. Chrissy is unbelievably sweet, and kind. She genuinely cares about your needs. And you do everything you can to be the same for her.
You haven't always dated women, Chrissy is actually the first woman you've ever been with. Well, beyond the occasional drunken party make-out with Robin. It took you far too long to figure out you are indeed bisexual, denying your feelings and pretending. But at a certain point, it all clicked. You like girls as much as you like boys, and that scared the hell out of you when you first pieced it together. And it scared you even more to tell your friends about it.
You're pacing back and forth near the front door, waiting for your friends to arrive. You've invited them over under the guise of hanging out and having drinks. A typical Friday night. They have no idea what the real reason is, and how terrified you are. Tonight, you plan to come out of the closet.
You know you shouldn't be this freaked out. You really don't have anything to worry about when it comes to your group of friends. Robin is gay, Eddie (your ex) is bi himself and now dating Steve (also bi, obviously). And Nancy, Jonathan, and Argyle are the most supportive people in the world to all of them. You know they'll love you no matter what, that they'll be happy for you. But you can't help being a nervous wreck regardless, you've always been a chronic worrier.
Before you have time to fake being sick and call the whole thing off, the doorbell rings. “Fuck.” You mutter, smoothing down your shirt and running your hands over your hair to straighten up. You open the door, finding five smiling faces waiting for you. Steve's got a couple six packs in his grip, with Eddie gripping a bottle of whiskey while his other arm rests around Steve's waist. “Hey guys, come in.” You smile nice and wide, opening the door further to let them inside.
“Hey, Y/N. How's it going?” Robin asks, pulling you into a hug with her hands full of chip bags.
“Great, now that you're all here.” You say, genuinely meaning it. The second you’ve seen them all standing there in the entryway, you know everything is going to be fine. These wonderful people are your family, after everything you've been through together.
“Always happy to be around, sweetheart.” Eddie chimes in, helping Steve set the booze down on your kitchen counter just off the entrance to your apartment. Even though you're not together anymore, Eddie still drops the sweet names he used to call you. It's nice to be on such good terms with him, your break-up actually went pretty well. You cared about each other, and had a lot in common. But things just weren't working, and you decided you'd be better off as friends. Besides, he's never been happier now that he has Steve. And fuck knows Steve is totally over the moon to have his love after a long line of absolute duds.
“Thanks, Eds.” You reply, immediately grabbing the bottle of liquor to pour some into a glass.
“Eager to get the party started, huh?” Jonathan asks, giving you an odd glance. It usually takes a wee bit of playful peer pressure to get you to drink up, and here you are beating them all to the punch.
“Yeah. Why not?” You answer casually, knocking back a shot's worth before filling the glass halfway. You don't even bother with ice, you need the full sting of the alcohol to loosen your lips a little. Everyone else gets their drinks, and you all make your way to the couch and chairs in your humble living room. Nancy sits on Jonathan's lap on the sofa, Robin and Argyle taking the space beside them. Steve and Eddie take chairs side by side, while you stay standing.
“Something wrong, Y/N?” Steve questions, noticing your fingers anxiously tapping on your glass. Now that you're standing in front of them, your confidence is resting on shaky ground.
“Uh, yeah. I just, um…h-have something I've been wanting to tell you guys.” You start, eyes darting between them and the floor.
“You're not knocked up are you?” Eddie jokes, earning a smack from Steve. “Ow! Sorry, kidding.” He puts his hands up defensively, ignoring the disapproving glare from his boyfriend.
“It's fine. And no, it's not that.” You let out a dry giggle, partially wishing it really was something that simple.
“Ooh, does someone have a new boy toy?” Nancy pipes up, drawing ‘oohs’ from the others.
“Nah, he'd be hangin’ off her arm right now if she did.” Argyle chuckles. The rest of them laugh, too, further detracting from what you're trying to do here. You grip your glass tighter as they go back and forth making comments and poking fun. You know they mean well, and you love them to pieces. But you need a damn second to say this before you change your mind.
“That's not it, alright!?” You snap, shutting them up. The group looks at you with wide eyes, and you sigh. “Sorry. It's just really important that I tell you guys this. It's been weighing on me for a while, and I need you to listen.”
“It's fine, angel. We shouldn't have interrupted. Tell us what's goin’ on.” Eddie says apologetically, gesturing to give you the floor.
“Okay.” You pause, taking a deep breath. “I'm just gonna…come out and say it.” You scoff at your own unintended pun. “I'm…” You clear your throat, and spit it out already. “...bisexual.” You finish, holding your breath now as the room is still silent.
“Is that all?” Steve asks, raising an eyebrow. You frown, and he elaborates. “Sorry, I just thought we knew this already.” He shrugs.
“What? No!” You cross your arms, getting defensive. You search the eyes of your other friends, finding no amount of surprise in them whatsoever. “You mean to tell me everybody knew except for me?” You ask in annoyance.
“To be honest, princess? We thought you did, too.” Eddie replies, bearing an awkward expression.
“Well, I didn't, so…” You say meekly, overwhelmingly embarrassed. They all knew. It makes you wonder, if perhaps there's some big, obnoxious neon sign on your forehead that says ‘QUEER’ on it. Bright and flashing for everyone to see, except for you. “God, I’m a fucking idiot.” You scoff again, shaking your head. You down the rest of your drink, storming off to the kitchen for another.
“Y/N.” Robin calls after you, getting up from her seat to follow you. The others are only a step behind, on a mission to comfort you. Rob meets you at the counter, putting her hand on your shoulder as you pour a larger glass this time. You hesitantly meet her gaze, wondering what she'll say. “Y/N, you're not an idiot. Okay? We know how hard figuring this out is. Well, most of us, anyway.” She gets a small laugh from the others at that, as well as you. “Look, maybe we knew before you did, but that's not a bad thing. We've been where you are. Hiding, denying, feeling confused and afraid. But we love you exactly as you are, no matter what.” She pulls you in for a tight hug, and you gladly squeeze her back with all your might.
“You're stuck with us, babydoll. Us queers have to stick together.” Eddie adds, making you laugh through your happy tears. He joins in the hug, followed by the rest of your wonderful friends.
“Thanks, guys. I'm so lucky to call you my friends, my family. I love you all so much.” You say affectionately, muffled against Robin's shoulder.
“We love you too, man.” Argyle speaks on everyone's behalf, earning silent nods as they surround you in a comforting huddle.
“You okay, Y/N? You went somewhere else for a minute there.” Chrissy pulls you out of your own head, concern staining the smile on her face.
“Yeah. I'm fine. Where were we?” You answer, focusing on sharing this moment with her.
“Well…” She smirks, lowering herself to kiss your lips. It's soft and warm, and heat pools in your belly. “...I was gonna go down on my girlfriend.” Another kiss, firmer this time, but still just as loving. “Is that what you want, baby?” She purrs, waiting for your permission.
“Yes.” You whisper back, earning her mouth on yours once again. Chrissy slips her tongue past your lips, tangling with your own. Quiet moans leave you both, the temperature in the room quickly rising. Her fingers nimbly open the buttons on your blouse, the fabric parting to reveal your bra. Her hands trail up your waist and over your ribs, meeting the plush cups covering your breasts. She's not shy about squeezing them together, getting a real feel for the size and shape of them. “Chris.” You moan as her lips leave yours to find your neck instead.
Chrissy’s movements are completely self-assured. Simultaneously keeping you at ease, and driving you wild with arousal. You've never felt more comfortable getting intimate with someone than you do right now. Every kiss and touch feels like the best decision ever made, all by her hand. Though it's far too early to say it out loud, it's certain that you're falling in love with her. “Sit up, I wanna see more of my gorgeous girl.” Chrissy coos, backing off to let you up. You do as she asks, and she gently sheds you of your shirt before reaching around to your back. The clasp of your bra unhooks as if by magic, the straps falling slack from your shoulders. She gingerly removes the piece of underwear from you, revealing your pert mounds, nipples stiffened in the centers. “God, you're so pretty.” Chrissy exhales, finding your gaze again.
“Thanks.” You blush, bashfully looking up at her through your lashes. The way she's admiring you with her eyes, it's like you're a mythical goddess she's vying to worship. No man has ever looked at you this way, not even Eddie, who was definitely the best of them. It's as if you're truly being seen for the very first time. “Baby…” You let out a small giggle, having to turn away as her stare burns into you with the power of a thousand smiling suns.
“Oh, honey. Don't look away.” Chrissy tuts as she guides you to face her again, her soft fingers leading your chin. “You are the most beautiful woman I've ever met. Can you really blame me for getting lost in your image?” She says earnestly, the words charging the air with intense sexual electricity. It's official, you're about one step away from proposing if she keeps this up.
“I guess not.” You chuckle, unsure what else to say. Without another word, Chrissy leads you to lie down again. She follows you downward, her lips finding your collarbone next. She takes your bare breasts in her hands, sweetly massaging them in her palms. Her thin fingers and thumbs lovingly work your nipples, earning more quiet moans from you. Her mouth travels further along, meeting the top of your chest. The kisses she leaves are silky and warm, dialing up the simmering heat inside of you at a steady pace.
Chrissy keeps going, her hands leaving your tits to be replaced by her eager mouth. She kisses every inch she can reach, making your head feel light. Her hands reach further down your body, unbuttoning your jeans and sliding the zipper down its track. She slips inside the opening, finding what she imagines are matching panties. She presses on, no hesitation as she maneuvers underneath the luxe fabric to locate your needy clit.
“Fuck.” You moan as Chrissy's fingertips whisper over the sensitive bud.
“Oh, you're so wet, honey...” She smiles against your skin, pleased to know how good she's making you feel. She swirls your slick around, toying between your folds, circling your weeping hole. Her lips continue to worship your tits, licking and sucking to keep the pretty sounds spilling out of you. Your thigh happens to be between her legs in this position, and she can't help grinding against it as she's becoming rather worked up herself. She sighs into your flesh at the friction, your head spinning even more at the angelic sound.
“Feels so good, baby.” You say softly, cradling her head in your hand. Her strawberry blonde hair is in a ponytail, it almost always is, giving you the perfect view of her gorgeous face. Her plush lips and succulent tongue toil over your left nipple, her eyes blissfully closed. You can feel her breath fanning hotly across your skin, hear the soft moans as she slowly continues to grind on your leg, while her hand keeps riling you up inside your pants. After a few moments of being entranced by her, Chrissy slips two fingers into your soaked cunt. “Oh, god…” You whimper as she fills you up, curling her digits to hit your g-spot. The motion is slow and repetitive, teasing you before the main event.
She pulls her lips away from your addictive flesh, cupping your cheek. “I can't wait to taste how sweet you are.” She says softly, shifting herself off of your thigh to rest between your legs. Her hands reach for the waistband of your jeans, pulling them down along with your panties. You're left completely exposed to her now, knees tented to reveal your soaked pussy. Chrissy's smile grows at the sight, a twinkle of lust in her eyes as her gaze shifts between your face and cunt. “You ready for me, Y/N?” She asks, one final chance to make sure you're ready for this.
“Yes. Please.” You reply, without a care in the world for how needy you sound. A breathy giggle leaves her at that, and she maneuvers herself above where you desire her most. Her eyes flutter at the scent of you, musky and inviting. It's tempting for her to kiss your inner thighs first, drive you a teensy bit more insane before giving you what you want. But the unabashed begging in your expression makes her think better of it. Instead, she leans in, and licks a thick, wet stripe from your entrance to your clit. “Oh, fuck…” You gasp loudly, clutching at the couch cushions with your hands. It would be obvious to say you've been eaten out many times before, but nothing like this. It's like Chrissy’s tongue was made for you, setting your insides ablaze with a single stroke. You've never experienced anything so intense before, it almost makes you feel like you've gone crazy, or been dosed with some unknown drug.
“That feel good, baby?” She asks, gingerly gripping your thighs to hold you in place. She's both surprised and amused that you tried so hard not to squirm or buck your hips from one simple touch.
“Yes. So fucking good, Chris. Better than anything I've ever felt before.” The words pour out of you as if on command, all sense of control leaving your already sweating body.
“Yeah? Good thing I'm just getting started.” She says lowly, more dark and seductive than you've ever heard from her previously. It nearly sends your eyes rolling back into your head. That is, until her tongue returns between your folds where it belongs.
“Fucking christ…” You moan as she carefully circles around your sensitive bud, occasionally licking downwards to find every last sensitive nerve at your entrance. It takes everything in you not to grind into her face, or pin her down with your hands. Instead, one hand grasps the end of the couch cushion, while the other claws for the armrest above your head. It's all you can do to keep yourself even slightly together, and focus on the immense pleasure Chrissy gives you.
“So sweet, baby. Such pretty noises, too.” She praises between passionate licks.
You can’t offer much in reply besides your shameless moans, hands squeezing the plush of the couch as she drives you near the edge. It won’t take much longer at all, it’s almost embarrassing how quickly Chrissy has worked you up so close to climax. Her tongue prods around the spot that sends your knees buckling every time, making your thighs jerk in her grip. “Fuck.” You gasp, hoping she’ll keep touching you…
“Right there?” Chrissy asks in a sultry tone, repeating the motion to get an answer out of you.
“Yeah, fuck, right there. Don’t stop.” You answer breathlessly, sweat gathering on your brow, and in the bends of your knees. You’re practically digging holes into the upholstery of the sofa at this point, nails clawing so deep when you wish they were buried in Chrissy’s silky locks instead. Self-control wanes from you, and you can’t stop twitching and mewling with every stroke of her tongue against your pussy.
“So close already, baby?” She asks, struggling to hold your legs still while she eats you out.
“Mhm, don’t stop..please, wanna…wanna cum.” You say desperately to her, dangling over the precipice of complete and utter bliss now. All she has to do is cut you loose and let you fall. You can’t hold back anymore, your hands taking control of her head before you even register what you’re doing. There’s a gnawing need deep inside yourself, and you have to help Chrissy relieve it. She moans against you at your forcefulness, allowing you to take some control. Your fingers are weaved deep inside her hair, your hips rolling furiously into her pretty face. “So close, so close…” You whimper, panting like a feral animal. Your insides start to quiver as your orgasm comes into view, bright twinkling stars threatening to flood your vision. Chrissy pushes you that much further by keeping your pace, working your weak spot and your clit in tandem. “Oh, god, oh, oh, OH…” Your moans grow louder as your high ramps up, and one perfectly placed stroke of Chrissy’s tongue sends you toppling over the edge. “Chris一 fuck!” You cry out as your thighs tremble in her grip, hips bucking without rhyme or reason as you cum hard on her face.
“Mm.” Chrissy moans as she drinks up your juices, her eyes glued to the beautiful expression on your face in this moment. Eyes screwed closed, mouth agape in ecstasy, skin glistening with sweat as pleasure rips through you. It’s an expression she’s only seen once thus far, but it’s one she’ll strive to see again and again for as long as she knows you. She strokes your thighs gently as you slowly come down from your high, planting a warm kiss to your hip before pulling away. “How was that, honey?” She asks, words dripping with honey as she lays herself on top of you. Her weight rests carefully over yours, drawing your lust-drenched eyes to find her gorgeous face gazing upon you with even more admiration than before, if that’s even possible.
“It was the best I’ve ever had, baby.” You say with a satisfied smile, lifting your head to give her a kiss. You hum at the taste of yourself, and the plush warmth of her lips. You pull away a moment after, lips still brushing against one another as the fire is reignited in your belly. “Your turn.” You add, soft and confident. You’re ready to take your first try at this, because with Chrissy, every single thing feels easy.

Rushin’ through me like a fire Part 6
A Steddie Club AU
AO3 | Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 7
And he finally gets a chance to do what he’s wanted all night, tracing the line of scars from Eddie’s neck all the way down to his collarbone, featherlight touch in case Steve makes the wrong move here. But goosebumps trail in his wake, Eddie’s hands tensing on his thighs, that flush spanning the length of his neck. One of Steve’s hands settles on Eddie’s chest, slipped between the rips, right over Eddie’s heart, fingertips lightly grazing the raised skin.
“They’re from a fire,” Eddie says, voice calm even as Steve identifies a dangerous, uncertain look in his eyes. “People always ask. Figured I’d get it out of the way before you could.”
Steve’s hand slips, unsure if he’s allowed to keep touching, but Eddie must sense the movement and stops Steve with a touch to his wrist, holding his hand in place.
“You can touch them. No one’s touched them like this before." Eddie doesn’t drop his hand, just keeps thumbing along his wrist. Now they’re both covered in goosebumps. “My parents were musicians, always away at shows. They left me with my uncle Wayne a lot while they were on the road.” He runs his hand down Steve’s arm, gently cupping his elbow. “Once I was old enough, I would go to as many shows as I could, just wanting to be closer to them. But they were always in these dive bars. Places that could barely pass inspections. Nobody really pays attention to fire codes in places like that.”
There’s a heavy pause before Eddie continues, “One of those places only had one exit, about as far from the stage as you could get. Some dipshit lost control of a cigarette backstage and lit the whole place up in flames. They had all these ratty old curtains that made it worse. I tried to run to the stage, but I got dragged out of the place. Some of the rafters came down on me, fucked up my side and my face.” Another pause. His gaze unfocused and lost in the memory. “That was the last time I saw my parents.”
Steve knows there’s not anything he can say to make that loss easier, but it does make him think about the bar downstairs. How it’s named Hellfire. How the bar is branded with flames. How Eddie’s scared of crowds. How Eddie made it into a safe haven despite his fear.
“Is the club in honor of them?” Eddie’s eyes meet his again. He nods slowly.
“It didn’t start that way. I had all this money I didn’t know what to do with. They weren’t the fucking Beatles or anything, but they had a few albums do well and didn’t spend much of it before they died. Got a bit from their life insurance. Got even more when their house sold. Used a bit to pay the medical bills. Gave some to my uncle. Put the rest into this place.”
“It was a grimy old warehouse when I started. An absolute shit hole. But Chrissy and the guys from my band helped fix it up, we all worked to make it the place it is now. It gave me a really good outlet after everything happened. I was so angry and I got to hammer shit all the time.” He chuckles darkly, ducking his head. “Sorry I didn’t mean for this to get heavy.”
“Eddie,” Steve taps Eddie’s chin, raising it until they’re looking at each other. “Hellfire is like a home to me, to a lot of people. You made it into this safe place. Not just for yourself, but for others.” He plays with a strand of Eddie’s hair that’s come loose from his ponytail. “Your parents would be proud. Thank you for telling me about them.”
Steve leans down and presses his forehead against Eddie’s, meaning for it to be gentle, but Eddie surges up and kisses him. Grasping onto Steve’s thighs, he tugs him closer, sliding one hand around to the small of his back, pressing until it feels like there’s no space left between them. Chest to chest, Steve can feel how hard Eddie’s breathing, the way they both are trying to suck the oxygen out of each other.
It turns frantic fast, tongues battling it out in each other’s mouths and hands wandering under shirts. The lithe expanse of Eddie’s neck has been teasing him all night, flushed red and glittering with sweat. Steve breaks their kiss to lean down and lick up a bead of sweat, tongue following its trail before latching on with an open mouth and sucking on the side that’s not covered in scars. A high pitched mewl leaves Eddie’s throat, the vibration egging Steve on, desperate to hear that sound again.
Eddie’s sunk down enough that his head is thrown back against the armrest of the couch, leaving his neck on display for Steve, a pale column of flesh that Steve wants to sink his teeth into and not let up until Eddie’s a whimpering mess in his hands. He takes his time, alternating between a harsh sucking motion and soft delicate kisses until he sees bruises start to form. Pulling sound after sound from Eddie, blissfully leaving his mark and savoring the tangy salty taste of their exertion from earlier.
He takes a minute and runs his fingers along the scars on Eddie’s shoulder, holding the fabric of his shirt to the side and peppering kisses along the scars on the left side of his neck. A full body shudder takes over and Eddie’s hips buck up, seeking friction from Steve, his hands clenching on Steve’s thigh and back.
“Steve, baby,” Eddie whines, “please stop teasing me. This’ll be over before it even starts if you don’t stop. I haven’t even seen you naked yet.”
He sits back on his heels, both of them panting and staring at each other with dilated pupils and puffy, kiss-slicked lips. Eddie looks completely ravished, like Steve’s already taken him apart, neck littered in marks and hair so tousled it's barely in a ponytail at all anymore. Steve probably doesn’t look much better, with his polo tugged halfway out of his pants.
Steve pulls his shirt off in one quick motion, tossing it somewhere unknown. Eddie’s breath hitches in his chest, staring up at Steve with wild eyes. He feels like an entire meal that Eddie wants to feast on. This frantic want, but slow devotion is almost too much for Steve. It’s nothing like anyone he’s slept with before and they’re still mostly fully clothed.
It’s time to change that.
“Should we relocate?” Steve asks, nodding towards the bed and climbing off of Eddie’s lap.

“I’m not the only thing that’s haunting you, huh?” You clipped.
“I don’t wanna talk about that.” Eddie snapped back all too quickly, his voice stern and his eyes cast down to the floor, avoiding your glaring eye contact.
“Oh I get it!” you poke further. “You were dumped. She probably dumped you for some other guy who doesn’t have his jeans sewed to the couch.”
“Shut up.” Eddie came back bluntly.
“Oh so you can dish it out but you can’t take it? You bring all these people in to try to get rid of me, but I make one comment about you getting dumped?”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about, shut the hell up!” Eddie shouted before storming off.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You find Eddie on your apartment’s balcony, looking out at the night sky as it began to fall over Hawkins.
“Eddie?” you called after him, “I’m sorry.” you apologised.
You slowly made your way towards him as he turned to face you..
“It occurred to me that perhaps I don’t know you all that well” you began “So I just wanted to say that I’m really sorry. I was kind of a jerk back there” you apologised to him, the guilt of the way you had spoken to him was gnawing away in the pit of your stomach.
“Most people who go through tough situations find it helpful to talk about it” you offered kindly.
“Well I don’t want to talk about it!” he yelled back at you.
“Anger works too.” you nodded with a sigh.
There was a beat of silence between the two of you before you spoke again.
“Who was Robin talking about?” you asked him.
“Chrissy. Her name was Chrissy.” He replies lowly.
“Who’s Chrissy?” you ask again, your voice soft as you approach him.
“She was my wife.” he replies harshly before storming off again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eddie walks down the street, turning to the nearest bar where he’d agreed to meet up with Steve, who had also brought along two girls in the hopes of a double date? Honestly Eddie didn’t even care at this point he just wanted to get drunk.
“Hey man! It’s good to see you!” Steve shouts over the noise of the crowded bar. “What are you drinking?”
“Whisky!” Eddie shouts to the man behind the bar.
And just like that, there you were right beside him. Your face set in a scowl.
“Don’t you dare.” you scold him.
“Make it a double please, Barkeep!” Eddie shouts again to the bartender.
“You know you can’t drink to hide your feelings, Eddie” you tell him, narrowing your eyes at his appalling behaviour.
“So, are you okay? How’ve you been, man?” Steve asks, turning to Eddie when he notices that Eddie has been staring off into space rather than being a part of the conversation.
“You know, you don’t have to do this right? You could walk right out that door, get some food and have a good night’s sleep for once.” you challenged him. You’d been existing in the same space as him for almost two months now, you were all too aware of his “night-time routine” of drinking multiple beers in front of the tv before passing out on the couch.
“So…uh...Are you still seeing your little ghostly girl?” Steve asks, genuinely worried about his friend.
“You told your friend about me? Gosh, I feel so special!” you teased in a deadpan voice.
Eddie shushed you despite Steve not being able to hear your snarky comments.
“I think I just need to get a good night’s sleep, Steve.” Eddie answers.
“Oh you’re getting enough sleep alright. What is it? Twelve? Thirteen hours a night?” you snarked once more.
“Will you knock it off?!” Eddie whisper-shouts to you.
Eddie’s hand reached out for his scotch but he hears your moaning voice from beside him scolding him about his drinking habits.
“Eddie, don’t you drink that whisky!” you reprimand him.
He brings the glass up to his lips.
“I’m warning you.” you say firmly.
Eddie gets the glass up to his lips but before he can down any of his drink he feels your spirit possess his body. Your consciousness possesses him from the inside in your best attempt to steer him away from making any more bad choices. You try to get him to slide his hand away from the glass by controlling his arms and sliding him half-way down the bar. You feel Eddie’s own consciousness fighting against you, but you didn’t come here to mess around. You make him slap himself in the face as he constantly battles against you in order to drink his whisky.
The internal battle between your spirit and Eddie’s own free-will results in you causing him to haphazardly throw his drink over Steve and the girls he’d brought along.
The girls shriek and Eddie tries his very best to apologise before he feels your spirit possess him to march his way out of the bar, one uneasy step at a time.
Once outside the bar, you immediately shift your spirit out of Eddie’s body with a shudder.
“What the fuck was that all about, huh?” Eddie screams at you.
“You’re gonna thank me for that one day.”
“What? For making me look like a crazy freak in front of all those people?” He groans before storming once more.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eddie pulls his leather jacket closer to his body as he sits down on a park bench with a huff.
Sure enough there you were again. Sitting right beside him on the bench.
“Why are you still following me around?” he complains, although his voice sounded more tired than anything.
“Believe me if I knew why, I wouldn’t be following you in the first place.” you answer with a sigh. “Why are you the only one who can see me?” your voice sounding sad and despondent.
“Don’t ask me!” Eddie holds his hands up in surrender with a slight chuckle.
“Oh god! What if I really am dead?” you worried, holding your head in your hands.
“Come on now, I’m sorry I said you were dead.” Eddie apologises. “Perhaps you’re not dead, maybe you’re just a lot lighter than the average woman” Eddie jokes, in the hopes of easing some of the tension.
“If I could just remember something about what happened to me or why I’m like this, then I’d know once and for all.” you sigh disheartenedly. “I wanna figure it out, but I just can’t do it by myself.” you turn to Eddie with a look of hope in your eyes.
Eddie chuckles to himself quietly before speaking.
“Now I know you’re not asking me to help you…are you?” Eddie asks unconfidently.
“The way I see it you’ve got two options to choose from. You can either help me figure out what’s happened to me or you can continue being the town’s local freak who sits alone talking to himself on a park bench.” you offer, reminding Eddie since he was the only one who could see you, to anyone else it just looks like he’s constantly talking to himself.
“Alright then, let’s find out what happened to you.” Eddie says, getting up from his spot on the bench.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eddie goes back to your apartment complex, surely you had to have someone there who knew you, or knew something about what happened to you, right?
He starts knocking on doors on your apartment’s level, only to be met with confused stares from the other residents at the mention of your name. Some even claimed that not only that they didn’t know who you were, but that your apartment was vacant.
“I mean I know I spent a lot of time at the office but, come on! Did nobody remember me even a little bit?” you muttered.
“Come on we haven’t tried everyone yet” Eddie chimes, knocking his knuckles against another door.
The door swings open and a tall, blonde girl wearing very tight fitting work-out clothes answers the door.
“Hey I’m Eddie, I just moved to the apartment a few doors down.”
“Hey Eddie! Nice to meet you, I’m Annie.” The blonde girl introduces herself, looking Eddie up and down, her long, dark eyelashes fluttering as she talks to him.
You roll your eyes at her obvious lustful gaze. She was probably already imagining each and every way she could be pressed under Eddie’s naked body if only she could just get him into her apartment.
“I was just wondering about the woman who lived in the apartment before me?” he asks, completely oblivious to this girl’s flirtatious manner.
“Oh yeah, she was really quiet, kept to herself a lot.” Annie started. “Last I heard about her was when her family put her apartment on the market to pay her medical bills.”
“Medical bills? That doesn’t sound good. Oh god! What happened to me?” you cried.
“Oh..Well okay..Um thanks for your help, have a nice day.” Eddie says, waving her goodbye as he walks back down the hall.
“Don’t worry we’re going to get to the bottom of this, I promise.” Eddie reassures you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The hospital downtown was Eddie’s next point of call, someone there had to know something more about what happened to you.
Eddie makes his way through the busy hospital waiting room with you following in right beside him. Stepping towards the receptionist's counter he introduced himself, and began asking about what happened to you.
The receptionist directed him upstairs where a doctor was waiting for him, to hopefully answer his questions.
“Mr. Munson,” The doctor shakes him by the hand. “You’ve been enquiring about Y/N L/N?”
“Yeah, I was wondering if you could tell me about what happened to her.” Eddie pressed.
“Well first I need to know your relationship with her.”
“Tell her you’re my boyfriend, she won’t tell you anything unless she knows we’re close.” You instructed.
“She’s my girlfriend, we were fairly recent.” Eddie hoped that the doctor couldn’t tell that he was obviously lying about your relationship with him.
“So you don’t know about the accident?”
“Eddie, I remember it…” you whisper, drawing into yourself as the memories of what happened to you all come flooding back. The blinding bright lights. The screeching car tyres.
“Accident? What accident?” Eddie’s voice is full of worry as he listens to what the doctor tells him.
“It was about three months ago, ambulances rushed her in after a hit and run collision. We had to place her in an induced coma. She’s been recovering here since then.”
The doctor brings Eddie into the room where your body was lying unconscious in a hospital bed.
“Could I have some time alone with her please, I haven’t seen her in so long.”
“Of course. Take all the time you need.” The doctor nodded before leaving Eddie alone with your comatose body.

The Caged Bird Still Sings Part 2
I'm so glad that people enjoyed the first part of this so much. I hope you like sexy times and long chapters, because this has both.
I should point out that this is mid to late 80s and Eddie's cell phone is an actual fucking brick. Rich rockstar and all.
In this part we get Eddie sliding into home, finding out Steve's real age and how he got into the bar past a bouncer known for spotting fakes.
Part 1
Mature 18+ only!
~
Eddie was doing what he did best and that was absolutely shred on stage. He was back up vocals because Jeff truly had the pipes. Something they didn’t actually learn until they were half way through their first record.
He had no delusions that if he had remained lead singer, that they would have gotten absolutely fucking nowhere.
He was also keeping an eye on his little canary. Bright yellow in a sea of leather and chains. He just wanted to bite those cheeks. Face or ass, didn’t matter which. Though he would be very happy indeed to sink his teeth into that amazing ass.
Too soon and not soon enough they were saying goodbye. As they walked off stage, Eddie saw Chrissy come back up to Steve. Most likely telling him to stay a little longer.
Eddie was 97% sure that little Canary gave off queer vibes, but that little teeny-tiny doubt was all it took from going over there and bending him over the bar and fucking him wildly.
In the dressing room as they were putting away their guitars, Chrissy came bouncing into the room, bright smile on her face.
“You fucking owe me big time, lover boy,” she told Eddie. “His name is Steve, he’s twenty-two and he’s a local.”
Eddie leaned back against the sofa cushion and draped one arm over the back. “That’s all very interesting Chris, but that doesn’t help me get laid.”
She held up her hand. “I’m getting to it, babe. Pretty boy’s drinking his sorrows because Daddy kicked him out for being caught with his boyfriend.”
Suddenly Eddie was on the edge of his seat, elbows on his knees.
“Who told you that?” Gareth asked, twirling a stick between his fingers.
“Monty, the bouncer,” Chrissy replied, looking smug. “Steve is a regular and Monty knows him.”
Jeff raised a skeptical eyebrow. “Well enough that he would know the dude is queer in small town Bumfuck, Indiana?”
“That’s what he said.”
Brian rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “The worst thing that would happen is that he blows you off and you blow town. Everyone knows you’re gay anyway, it won’t hurt shit if he says anything.”
Jeff and Gareth exchanged concerned glances.
“I’m with Brian,” Eddie said, “and not just because I find the dude hot. He’s not going to start shit surrounded by all my fans and if he’s just out for drinks there’s nothing wrong with me having a couple with the guy.”
Gareth and Jeff sighed.
“You were going to do whatever you wanted to do anyway,” Gareth said. “And even I could tell he had a hard time keeping his eyes off you and I’m in the fucking back!”
Eddie cackled. “Damn right.”
~
Steve was enjoying his second Tequila Sunrise, when the lead guitarist slid into the stool next to him.
Steve turned in his seat to look at him. “Wow, as I live and breathe, Eddie Munson in the flesh. You know you’re better looking in person then you are in pictures.”
Eddie cackled and ordered a beer. He turned to face Steve as the bartender pulled his beer and set it down in front him.
“Cocktails are an interesting choice,” he murmured after taking a sip of his beer. “I would have pegged you for the bottle beer type.”
Steve raised an eyebrow over the top of his glass. “Beer’s great unless you want to get drunk fast then it’s shit. Especially in this hick town.” He took a sip. “Plus it tastes better.”
Eddie threw back his head and laughed. “Fair point. I stick to beer so that I don’t get drunk off my ass, falling off stage is never fun regardless of the height involved.”
“Sounds like you’ve had experience,” Steve said with a huff of laughter.
Eddie hummed around the lip of his bottle and took a sip. “Yep! In the early days of the band, took a header off a stage at some festival, right into the crowd. I’m not sure who got hurt worst, me or the poor people I landed on.”
Steve winced. “That’s rough. At least you were able to come back from that, don’t think most people could.”
“Thank you,” Eddie said with a smile.
They continued to talk. Steve knew the signs. The way Eddie was leaning close, the way he would let his hands gaze his skin, the flirty language. There was no doubt Steve was going home with this one. Well hotel, anyway. So he slowed up on his alcohol intake.
And if the bartender’s smirk was any indication, Eddie was doing the same. It seemed that neither one was interested in drunk sex.
~
Eddie was going to kill Monty and Jeff was never going to let him live it down. Because there was no way this guy was twenty-two. Sure, he knew how to hold his liquor and when to slow down, he had to give him that, so clearly he’d been drinking awhile. But he talked like a high school student.
He just hoped his little Canary was only naive and not actually fucking under age.
“Shit,” Eddie said after draining the rest of his third beer in two hours, “I could kill for a smoke.”
“I wouldn’t mind one,” Steve said, leaning close, “if you’ve got one to share.”
Eddie eyed him up and down. “What no room in those pants for a pack of smokes?”
“I mean I could,” Steve said cocking his head to the side, “But it would leave much room for anything else and I kinda need my wallet more than I need a pack of smokes on me at all times, so...”
Eddie laughed and shook his head. “Yeah, darlin’, I can see why that might be a problem.”
He hopped off the stool and Steve dutifully followed him out the back. He pulled out a couple of smokes and lit them both before handing one to Steve.
“So how did you get your fake ID past the door gargoyle?” Eddie asked after taking a drag and blowing straight up into the air.
Steve threw back his head and laughed. “What gave me away?”
Yup. Jeff was never going to let him live this down. God damn it.
“For all your big talk,” he huffed, annoyed, “you don’t sound like someone who’s been around long enough to be the age on your ID.”
Steve shrugged. “I’ve had the same ID since I was sixteen. Both of them. I have a cousin Scott who was nineteen at the time and altered it for me.” He pulled out the fake ID and handed it to him.
Eddie squinted in the dark and realized that if he hadn’t been told it was a fake he wouldn’t have noticed a damn thing. But there slight smudges where there shouldn’t be that just tipped it over the edge into fake territory.
“Okay,” he groused, “that is a pretty good fake. But Monty is known for his eagle eye in spotting a fake, so what gives?”
Steve grinned as he took back the ID. “Scott is my cousin on my dad’s side and Monty’s my cousin on my mom’s side. He knows my parents are shit so he pays the owner under the table when I go out to drink here. Which I keep to a minimum for his sake, mainly I use it to buy beer in out of town gas stations.” He pulled out his real ID and handed it Eddie. “I’m young, but I’m not stupid.”
Eddie blinked at Steve for a moment in shock. He looked down at the real age and god, the sigh of relief he bit back was immense. Nineteen. His little Canary was nineteen.
“Sorry for doubting you,” Eddie murmured, handing the ID back.
Steve shrugged again. “I get it. I’ve been told I have kind of a weird face when it comes to age, I could look anywhere from sixteen to thirty depending on the lighting and what I’m wearing.” He took his first drag of his cigarette and blew out of the side of his mouth, flicking the ashes on the ground.
Eddie stared at him owlishly for a moment before he dropped his cigarette on the pavement and ground it with the heel of his boot. Then he surged forward and grabbed Steve’s face to mash their lips together.
Steve’s fingers slackened and the cigarette fell from his fingers and rolled away. He brought his hands up to get his hands on those curls like he’d been dreaming about all night. Eddie moaned as blunt nails scratched his scalp. He wrapped his arms around Steve and pulled him in close.
This time it was Steve’s turn to moan. They pressed together from chest to knees and he could feel everything through the thin layer of his clothes.
Eddie’s hands roamed down his back and straight to those delicious looking ass cheeks. He wanted to taste them as surely as he could taste the ash on his lips.
All the buildup, all the tension all night was culminated in this first kiss. Eddie was heady with it. The alcohol in his system burning away in the face of his desire for this man. Because young as he was his little Canary was a man, no doubt.
A man who clearly wanted to take this elsewhere and Eddie wanted to let him.
“Just, just,” he panted when he pulled away. “Just let me tell someone we’re going back to the hotel, okay baby?”
Steve nodded a little kiss drunk and a lot breathless. “Should I just wait here for you then?”
Eddie nodded and then dashed back into the bar. He was barely gone two minutes before he was back out and dragging Steve to his car.
When they got to the car, Eddie pushed him up against it to kiss him again.
“Someone’s eager,” Steve teased, his hands skirting the stripe of skin between Eddie’s pants and shirt.
“Baby, you have no idea,” he growled, diving in to kiss him senseless.
Steve moaned as every nerve in his body lit up with every lick of Eddie’s tongue, every kiss of his lips, every touch of his hands. He felt like he was on fire.
Eddie pulled away long enough to unlock the car. He opened the door and practically shoved Steve into it, before he ran around to the other side of the car and got into the driver’s seat.
“Hold on, baby,” Eddie purred as the engine roared to life, “you’re in for a ride.”
“God I hope so!” Steve said breathlessly, pressing back against the leather of the seat.
Eddie cackled, pulling into traffic. “Oh honey, you have no idea.”
~
Hands were everywhere by the time they finally got into the hotel room.
Steve had stayed in some pretty swanky places growing up, traveling with his parents but fuck it was nothing this decadent.
All the fittings were brass and the tops were marble. In the middle of this was a large king size bed with black bedding and white throw pillows. If he wasn’t trying to get the two of them naked as fast as possible, he would have belly flopped on the mattress and buried his face in the pillows.
But all thoughts of that went out the window when Eddie’s mouth starting kissing down his throat as the only thing going off in his head became: YES! YES! YES!
Steve’s shirt was the first thing to come off as Eddie kept trying to get at more of Steve’s skin. Then Steve’s pants and shoes were next, leaving him naked in the face of the very dressed rock star.
Eddie picked him up and threw him on the bed. He tossed off his jacket and then tore of his shirt. He hopped on the bed and crawled up Steve’s body like a predator on the prowl. Steve moaned as Eddie kissed him deeply.
“God,” Steve groaned. “I need you to fuck me, so badly.”
Eddie grinned, his hands moving down Steve’s chest and sides to land on his hips. “Is that right, little Canary? You need to be fucked?”
Steve nodded, his capacity for speech having flown away with his ability to think of anything but getting to be fucked by a rock star.
Eddie scrambled off the bed and took off his boots and pants. Then he dug around in the nightstand before he pulled out what he was looking for. A small tube of lube and a pack of condoms.
Steve’s body shuddered with the thought of being absolutely wrecked by this beast of a man. Eddie looked good in his clothes, but so much better out of them. He was still as lean and tight as whipcord, but his body was toned with well-formed muscle. And then he pulled his hair back and suddenly Steve wanted to leave hickies all over that column of his throat. Because God! It was just as sinful as the rest of him.
“Shit,” he hissed. “You’re the reason people think gays are going to hell. You’re as gorgeous as sin. Fuck!”
Eddie blinked at him for a moment and threw back his had in laughed. “Baby, that was quite the line.” But before Steve could even think about frowning at being laughed at, he dived back in to kiss his mouth. “If I’m sin, little Canary, then you must be heaven sent.”
Steve wanted to protest that Eddie’s line was worst, but again all thoughts went out of his head when Eddie put the first condom on Steve. His hips bucked with the touch even if it wasn’t a sexual one.
“Now who’s the eager one, baby?” Eddie purred.
Steve moaned the loss of his hands as he watched Eddie sheath his dick in the second condom. He tossed the foil packets away and then popped open the cap of lube. He coated his finger with the liquid and circled Steve’s hole.
Steve let out a little whine at being touched but not enough. It wasn’t enough. Then Eddie breached the ring of muscle and holy fuck, it felt so good.
“You like that, little Canary?” Eddie teased, working his finger in and out of him.
“So good,” Steve breathed, trying not fuck himself on the digit.
“And you’re going to continue feel good, aren’t you?” Eddie murmured into Steve stomach. “Because you’re going to be a good boy and tell me if anything is uncomfortable or hurts, right?”
Steve nodded.
“Use your words, little Canary,” Eddie said, pulling his finger out of him.
“Yes!” Steve cried, though he would have said anything just so that Eddie would come back with his finger.
“Good boy.”
But when he brought his finger back, he added another and Steve nearly careened off the bed. Eddie held him down with his other hand.
“Look at you,” he purred. “I’ve never been with anyone so responsive before, baby.”
“So good for you,” Steve babbled. “Want to be so good.”
“And you are,” Eddie assured him. “You are so good for me.”
Shortly after the second finger, a third was added and Steve was muttering pleas and inanities as Eddie continued to work him open.
“Please, Eddie!” he cried. “I need you!”
Eddie removed his fingers and lined himself up. He grabbed Steve’s hips and slipped right into him.
Soon it was an uncoordinated mess of Eddie fucking Steve and Steve working himself to get off.
“So close...” Steve whispered.
Eddie grabbed Steve’s hand and together they finished him off. His body arched off the bed as he released into the condom. He fell boneless, to the bed as Eddie chased his own completion.
Soon after he was releasing ribbon after ribbon into the condom. His hips shuttered and then stilled as the last of his orgasm floated through his system.
He pulled off Steve’s condom first and then his own, making sure to tie each off before throwing them away.
He cleaned them both up with a wet hand towel from the en suite bathroom and then tucked a sleepy Steve into the bed.
He crawled in behind him and pulled him in close. He kissed Steve’s shoulder and the man muttered back sleepily something that sounded a little too close to, “Love you, too,” for Eddie’s liking.
Not because he didn’t want Steve in love with him, but because he was half way there himself.
This boy was going to be trouble.
~
Steve absolutely doesn't remember saying those three little words the next day.

Tell Him (Nothing) Everything Pt 3
Part One Part Two Link to Ao3
Chapter Three: Three Reunions
“Oh, I’m in so much trouble. I need some help, and I couldn’t think of anyone else to go to. So here I am to bug you again. Congratulations, you get to listen to my problems. Again. Too bad you can’t even stop me!”
Silence. Nothing but silence. There wasn’t even the sound of birds.
“I brought you flowers. Violets and white roses. I went to that florist you really liked. I actually know the people that own it now. Well, Steve knows them. Apparently one of their kids is friends with his little brother so he got me a hookup. I didn’t tell him why I needed the flowers, but I think it was okay. He’s good at not asking. It’s nice.”
Eddie could write a song about this. The quiet, the silence that was both freeing and confining. The way the violets and roses were held together with a soft blue ribbon that matched her eyes.
It wouldn’t be like any other song he wrote, but that was good. A song for Chrissy was going to have to be special, maybe the most important one he ever sang.
“I haven’t told you about him. Steve. He lives here in Hawkins, if you can believe that I fell for a small town hick. That’s a joke, and it’s not really that nice. I shouldn’t say that. He’s not a hick. He’s actually really sweet, and thoughtful, and funny, and… He owns a cafe in the middle of town called Claudia’s. I bet you went there when we came home to visit, it’s totally your kind of place. Maybe you even knew him. He’s only a few years younger than us, so you might’ve been in school together or something. You were the Prom Queen, and he was apparently a big time jock. I hope you guys never kissed or anything, that would be so weird.”
The good thing about going to the cemetery early in the morning was that it was always empty. Eddie was the only person there, so he could sit with his back against Chrissy’s headstone and babble freely without any worries of who might be listening in.
“I really like him, Chris. Like actually really like him, not just really like him because he’s giving me attention and I’m lonely.”
That was the thing she always worried about. She was viciously protective of Eddie, and she approached every one of his potential partners with high scrutiny over their intentions.
If only he had done the same.
The band even had a joke about it. No one Eddie ever went out with got the ‘Chrissy Stamp of Approval’. None of the dozens of men and women who wanted her best friend were good enough for him in her eyes.
Steve would’ve passed her test. Eddie was sure of it.
“You know that thing you always told me? About how I was going to find someone who just made things easy? I think I finally did. I’ve been so tired since… since everything, and when I’m with him I’m not tired. I’m- I’m happy. I don’t know if I deserve that. Actually, I know I don’t deserve it, but I am happy. Really happy, Chrissy, which isn’t fair, but it is true.”
Chrissy would have hated to hear him say that. She never liked when he put himself down. But without her around to check him on that, Eddie’s mind had no reason to stay away from the dark thoughts that lingered on the edges of his psyche.
“He’s just so kind. He always has time for me, even when things are busy. And he never pushes, even when I can tell he wants to. He’s raising his little brother, who is a huge fan by the way, and he takes care of this entire horde of kids that Dustin is friends with. I’ve never met any of them, but I can just tell they love him as much as he loves them.”
Eddie could tell by the hand drawn cards that littered the back wall of Claudia’s and the endless photo albums that Steve had on his phone. He could see it in the soft smile Steve wore any time he spoke about any of the kids, and the way he always saved extras of their favorite treats.
Normally, Eddie was terrified of people with children, petrified by the thought of fucking someone up like his parents had fucked him up. Wayne had healed most of those wounds, but ultimately Eddie had still sworn that he would never have any kids. He even got a vasectomy when he was 19 just to be a hundred percent sure that there would never be an accident.
Now all he wanted to do was meet Steve’s kids and do a solo show, just to rock their socks off.
“I can practically hear you in my head. ‘Why not just ask him out already then, Munson?’ Well, he doesn’t know me. I mean he knows me, but he doesn’t know that I’m ‘The Eddie Munson.’”
He could practically hear her groaning, begging him to come down from his inflated ego trip and realize that he was the same as any other person.
“I’m not the same as any other person though, Chris. You know what it’s like. Anyone who dates me gets put through the ringer. The paparazzi, the fans, the gossip rags, the YouTube channels, the Instagram stalkers. Steve’s life is so- small isn’t nice to say, but that’s what it is! He has this good little life that he’s carved out for himself and his brother in this small town world, and dating me would implode that. And it’s not like I can just walk away forever. I’m going to have to go back eventually. The band needs me, and the fans need me, and…and I don’t know who I am anymore if I’m not ‘The Eddie Munson’.”
He was someone Steve liked, he knew that much. They had been flirting pretty much the entire time but since his mini-freakout in the cafe, it had taken on a much more serious air, and their casual touches were starting to linger.
One of them was going to make a move soon, and Eddie needed to figure out what he wanted before that.
Well, not what he wanted. He knew what he wanted. He just didn’t know if that was the best option.
“I wish you were here. You’d know what to do…”
But she wasn’t. Chrissy wasn’t here. She was in the feeling of strumming a guitar, the sound of rain outside, the smell of Steve’s baking. Chrissy lived in a thousand different ways, she just wasn’t here anymore, and the closest Eddie could get to talking with her was sitting by her grave and talking to the air.
In other words, he couldn’t talk to her at all.
“I have to tell him first. I’ll tell him everything, and then I’ll let him decide if he still wants me. Today’s a good day for it anyway, right? It was supposed to be a special day. Now it’s just special for a different reason.”
With that Eddie stood up, stretching and rubbing at the spots that had gotten locked up from sitting on the ground too long. He put the flowers down where he had just been sitting and lighty ran his fingers over the top of her white marble headstone, reading the same inscription he had read a thousand different times.
Christiana “Chrissy” Cunningham
December 25th 1996- February 14th 2022
“And we wept that one so lovely should have a life so brief.”
Wayne had helped him pick it out. He was the one who suggested burying her here in the first place. Chrissy hadn’t had any family left but him and Wayne, and no one would ever look here to disturb her. They had a private funeral and everything, only the two of them and the rest of the band. Not another living soul knew where she was buried, and Eddie wanted to keep it that way.
After everything, Chrissy deserved a place to rest where no one would ever hurt her again.
Well, he wanted just one more person to know.
“When Steve knows everything, I’ll bring him here. Then you can give him your ‘Stamp of Approval’.” Eddie whispered, a soft smile flickering across his face as an unexpected gust of wind pressed against his back.
He didn’t believe in God, or the Devil, or any of the things the world tried to push, but he did believe in Chrissy. She lived, even if she wasn’t here, and when he was able to look past his own grief, he knew she wanted him to live too.
“Happy Not the Start of Tour Day,” Eddie called back towards her grave as he walked away. He was starving and only a certain man’s beignets would be enough to fill his belly right now.
And, like Eddie had called upon the God of Beignets himself, Steve was walking towards him just a few rows away, carrying a pink Claudia’s box. The naive part of Eddie was focusing on how cute Steve looked this morning, but the rest of him was instantly on guard.
How did Steve know he was here?
“I didn’t know you did deliveries,” Eddie called after he had strategically walked about a dozen gravestones away from Chrissy. Just minutes ago he had wanted to show Steve where she was, but now every red flag he had was lighting up.
Steve looked up when he heard Eddie’s voice, furrowing his brow and quirking his head to the side.
“Eddie?”
If he was putting on an act, then he was doing a very good job of being completely confused as to why Eddie was in the cemetery too.
“In the flesh,” Eddie said coolly, jamming his hands into his pockets and inching a little bit closer, still keeping a safe distance away. He had put his trust in Steve so far, but maybe that was a mistake. “What are you doing here?”
“What are you doing here?” Steve echoed, staying right where he was.
“I asked you first,” Eddie challenged.
“I’m uh, visiting someone,” Steve said after a hesitant pause, playing with the twine bow on the top of the box.
The hesitation was another red flag, but Steve’s body language was the thing that really set Eddie on edge. His shoulders were hunched, and it looked like he was trying to make himself small enough to disappear. Worst of all, his eyes were downcast, which meant Eddie couldn’t get a read on them.
Steve was an open book, but only when Eddie could actually see that book well enough to read it. Currently he could only get half the story, but it wasn’t a good half.
“I would hope you’re here to see someone. The only other explanation is that you’re stalking me,” Eddie said bluntly. There were only a few things to do with stalkers: Ignore them, which was a bad plan; Get a restraining order, which was a bad plan; Confront them, which was a bad plan.
There were only bad plans in this scenario and anxiety was starting to press down on Eddie’s chest, making it hard to breathe.
“Because you’re someone people are always stalking,” Steve said with a roll of his eyes. The casual bitchiness that Eddie usually loved was now a threat, and he bristled at the comment. By his count, Eddie had gone through at least twenty three stalkers, and those were just the ones that had been serious enough to merit intervention. He had no idea how many people were actually stalking him at any given time.
And if Steve was number twenty four, then Eddie might really just stop trusting people all together.
“Seriously, why are you here?” Eddie asked, trying his best to stay calm.
“Dustin had food poisoning yesterday, so we couldn’t come see her. I asked Heather to look after the store for me while I came to bring these. I don’t really like coming here, but Dustin is adamant that a sweet tooth is eternal, so we have to bring her treats,” Steve explained, holding up the box with an affectionate roll of his eyes.
That sealed the deal. It wasn’t often that Chrissy got on camera or took the spotlight, but she had been a frequent face on Eddie’s instagram, usually for food pics when they went out. He even had a story that was called ‘Chrissy’s Confectionaries’ just for all the candids he had of every dessert they had shared.
But how did they find her? How did they know she was here?
This was supposed to be a safe resting place. It was supposed to be sacred. Now it was destroyed the way everything was. There was nothing secret, nothing that didn’t belong to the world. This was supposed to be the one special place no one would ever bother her again.
“How do you find out where Chrissy is?!” Eddie demanded, stomping over and getting right in Steve’s face. Steve was pretty, and Eddie thought he was nice, but this was an absolute violation of trust and privacy, and he would not let Steve think it was okay just because his little brother wanted to do it.
If he even had a brother.
“Chrissy? Who’s- Eddie I…I’m here to visit my mom,” Steve stuttered out, grief coating every word in sticky black tar. He stepped back, clutching the box close to his chest with one hand and gesturing down to the headstone between them with the other.
It was a solid granite headstone, a soft red that stood out in the early morning sun. There were yellow tulips planted on either side of it along with a bunch of rocks, a few metal angels, and some tiny cat figurines sitting on the ledge. It was the words that caught Eddie’s eye though.
Claudia Marie Honore Henderson
November 11th 1979 - October 28th 2019
If pies were books,
Yours would be Shakespeare’s letters.
Eddie read it once, then twice, then a third time.
Still there. This was still real.
“Wow,” Eddie whispered, blowing out a harsh breath before letting out one incredulous laugh and pushing his hair away from his face. “I am a complete and total douchebag.”
A small smile broke through the hurt expression on Steve’s face and he gently nudged his shoulder against Eddie’s with silent forgiveness.
“Not complete and total, but I’ll give you two douchebag points,” Steve joked, lowering himself down to kneel on the grass in front of Claudia’s grave and patting the spot next to him, “You can share these with me to make it up.”
Eddie sat down quickly, crossing his legs so they wouldn’t bounce and looking at her grave again. There was nothing on Chrissy’s but the flowers he brought with him. Before, Eddie had thought it was kind of classy. The smooth blank white marble with nothing but the words he and Wayne had chosen.
Now it felt almost barren, empty, missing the homey touches that Claudia’s grave had. Claudia’s showed how well loved she was, personal things that still made her real. Chrissy’s was just empty.
“Not pie?” Eddie asked as Steve untied the string and opened the box to reveal three tiny brown cakes with dollops of whipped cream and drizzles of caramel sauce on top.
“She chose that quote, not me,” Steve replied, handing Eddie a napkin and a cake. He chose one for himself and put the last one in between the angels and the cat figurines.
Eddie bit into the dessert, automatically closing his eyes and savoring the flavor. It was spicy and sweet, ginger and brown sugar colliding on his tongue in an explosion of deliciousness. The caramel stuck to his lips, messy and oh so good.
It would be his favorite thing yet if Steve didn’t look so miserable.
“I never make pies anymore,” Steve murmured, not touching his own cake. He was staring off somewhere in the distance, lost where Eddie couldn’t seem to reach him. “They just don’t taste the same.”
Eddie knew that feeling. He had it every time he picked up a guitar now. He could play a song perfectly, hit every note at the exact moment he was supposed to, but it didn’t sound the way it should. Music was almost hollow now, a missing element that he couldn’t find no matter how much he practiced.
He briefly considered telling Steve, empathizing with the loss, sharing the secrets that were weighing him down.
“Henderson?” He asked instead, hoping that changing the subject would draw them both away from their thoughts.
“That’s um,” Steve trailed off, worrying his bottom lip between his teeth and staring down at his lap. Eddie’s heart ached for him and he briefly hated himself for the foot that had apparently taken up a permanent residence in his mouth.
“Steve, you don’t have to tell me anything, I shouldn’t have-”
“It’s okay, I want you to know.” Steve said softly, cutting Eddie off. He still didn’t look up, but some of the tension in his shoulders faded. “It’s a really long story though, so maybe another time?”
“Whenever you want,” Eddie offered, taking the leap and reaching over to take Steve’s hand. Steve looked up with glossy eyes, squeezing his fingers and brushing his thumb against the side of Eddie’s hand.
“And Chrissy?” Steve asked hesitantly.
Eddie could tell him. They could sit here for the whole morning talking back and forth, sharing those long stories. He had planned to tell Steve the truth today anyway. Now was the perfect time. He just had to open his mouth and start.
“Also a really long story,” Eddie sighed, mentally screaming at himself.
He was such a coward sometimes.
“Whenever you want,” Steve echoed, bringing their joined hands up and kissing the back of Eddie’s hand. It was a bold move, the boldest either of them had gotten so far, but it only cemented what they both already knew. Whatever was going on between them was more than just friendship, for both sides.
Eddie could pull away now, and maybe that would even be the smart thing to do. In the long run, they would both only get hurt by this, so maybe he should just stop it right here and now.
Instead, he scooted over so they were sitting leaned against each other, putting their hands in his lap and tapping a melody on Steve’s arm as he finally picked up his cake and began eating it.
Steve apparently didn’t talk to Claudia like Eddie talked to Chrissy. He just sat with his eyes shut, taking the moment to breathe deep and be present. Normally, Eddie hated silence, needing to fill it with music or words or just about anything, but this was peaceful, nice even. The sunshine that Chrissy now lived in kept them warm, and the breeze that held her spirit brushed past them, and Eddie could just hold the moment instead of needing to understand it.
He wasn’t sitting by her but he was close enough, and he had Steve, so things were okay.
“Let’s go back to the cafe, huh?” Steve said after a while, gently butting his head against Eddie’s. “I’ll make you a coffee.”
“I want a decaf nonfat white mocha with extra caramel chunks and oatmilk,” Eddie joked. Steve groaned, standing up and holding out a hand.
Every day there were at least three or four people that came in with absolutely ridiculous coffee orders, and every day Steve and Eddie would try and decide what the most outlandish one was. Eddie tried to get Steve to be grateful, because LA had about thirty or forty thousand people who had orders like that, but Steve always just gave him the stink eye and said that no one should be asking him for oatmilk in Hawkins, Indiana.
Sure, he had it, but it was the principle of the thing.
“Bye Claudia,” Steve said as they straightened up, “Me and Dustin are being safe. I promise.”
“Don’t worry he’s got me to protect him. Well, me to call 911 if anything goes wrong,” Eddie amended, giving the headstone a two fingered salute. Steve laughed his first real laugh of the day, shaking his head and rolling his eyes as he tugged Eddie away by their still connected hands.
They continued to hold hands for the entire walk from the cemetery to the cafe, chatting about nothing and everything in the way they always did. By the time they were turning the corner towards Claudia’s, both of them were extremely relaxed, free of any tension or stress that might have lingered if they went on their own.
“Hey! Eddie!”
Nevermind. Eddie was rigid as a board.
“Who’re they?” Steve asked, tilting his head to the side as he looked at the three men sitting at one of the tables in front of his cafe.
“No one,” Eddie blurted out, pulling his hand away from Steve’s and bouncing on his heels, filled to the brim with nervous energy, “On second thought I think I might skip coming today. And tomorrow. And maybe next week.”
“Eddie-”
Steve didn’t get a chance to say anything else before there was a body slamming directly into Eddie, the smell of Gareth’s cologne overwhelming his senses.
An unexpected hit of homesickness came right along with him and Eddie found himself holding onto Gareth in a death grip, burying his face in his oldest friend’s shoulder and shaking ever so slightly in his grip. Jeff and Frank quickly pushed themselves into the hug, and for the first time in months the part of Eddie’s heart that belonged to his bandmates quietly slotted back into its place.
“It’s been 84 years,” Gareth groaned after their way too long hug, holding onto Eddie’s upper arms and shaking him. “Never again man, never again. I can’t be stuck with these two sticks in the mud for that long. It’s been so boring.”
“What are you doing here?” Eddie asked for the second time that day, in much higher spirits than he had been the first time, “I told you guys not to try and find me.”
“Well maybe if you answered your phone every so often we wouldn’t have to go halfway across the country chasing you,” Jeff scolded lightly, Frank nodding sagely along with him.
“How did you even know where I was?” Eddie asked, wracking his brain. The answer immediately popped into his mind and Eddie’s eyes narrowed.
“Wayne,” He grumbled. Curse his big-hearted, too good, meddling, loving uncle.
“Eddie, we knew you would be here without him telling us,” Frank said with a roll of his eyes, “But when we dropped our stuff off at the house, he said to go to the bakery in town because the cute guy you’re obsessed with owns it.”
The other two broke into smirks, and all three turned to look at Steve with mischievous grins.
“I hate you guys,” Eddie said, blushing furiously and wishing that the ground would open up to swallow him whole.
“Obsessed, huh?” Steve said. His cheeks were dusted with a rosy rouge, but his eyes were locked onto Eddie’s, and he was wearing a very cute, very annoying, smug little smile.
“He is pretty cute,” Jeff said in mock appraisal.
“Cute enough to completely blow off a country wide-”
“Steve, these are my friends. Gareth, Jeff, and Frank,” Eddie said, cutting Gareth off before he could say anything else. “Guys, this is Steve, my…”
Eddie trailed off, unsure of how to end that sentence. Friend? Crush? Something more?
“Employer,” Steve decided for him, holding out his hand for the rest of the band to shake.
“Employer?!” Jeff practically shouted as Gareth took Stvee’s hand and began wrenching it up and down.
“You don’t pay me?” Eddie asked, just as stunned as the rest. Steve had just kissed his hand not even a full hour ago, and that was the word he chose to explain them?
Employer?!
“You sit in my cafe all day long eating and drinking for free. I think that I deserve at least a little manual labor in return,” Steve said in explanation, giving Eddie a full shit eating grin.
Oh. He was being messed with. Eddie snorted, holding back his laughter as he tried to give Steve a dirty look. Judging by the way Steve was slowly graduating to a full on beaming smile, he was failing pretty spectacularly.
“I am so confused,” Frank said from behind them. “Eddie, he does know that-”
“Well, Mr. Bossman,” Eddie quickly interjected, throwing his friends a look that told them to shut their mouths or face the consequences, “Would you pretty please feed my friends while we catch up a little bit?”
Steve, never one to do anything half-assed, brought out enough mini-quiches to feed an army, an entire tray of ginger cakes, and even some of Eddie’s favorite coconut cluster cookies. The rest of the band had apparently been traveling all night long, and they dug into the food with glee, praising Steve until the tips of his ears were red and he had to walk inside to ‘make coffee’ just to escape the flood of compliments.
The perfect time for Eddie to come clean.
“What do you guys think?” He asked, softly opening the question up to his best friends. They were the make or break now that Chrissy couldn’t be.
“He seems nice,” Frank said politely.
“He’s a great fucking cook,” Gareth said less politely, picking up the crumbs left on his plate. Jeff rolled his eyes and turned to Eddie.
“How long have you been dating?”
Great. They were jumping straight into the hard questions.
“We aren’t,” Eddie said slowly, making all three of them stop short and stare at him with increasingly incredulous looks.
“Well, I assumed the employer thing was a joke but now I have to ask,” Jeff said, sighing deeply before continuing, “Are you banging your boss?”
“No!” Eddie immediately shouted, shutting his mouth with a snap and shooting his gaze towards the inside of the cafe.
Steve was futzing around with something on the counter and either hadn’t heard Eddie’s shout or had ignored it, too used to Eddie’s tendency to be as loud as possible. The tip of his tongue was poking out of the corner of his mouth as he carefully placed caramel drizzle on some concoction he was preparing.
God, he looked so fucking delectable. Now that the thought of banging was there, he couldn’t escape it. The thought of what that tongue might do-
No. Nope. Stop.
Eddie was so weak.
“We’re not- I don’t- it’s not like that,” He finished weakly, groaning and letting his head rest on the table in front of him.
“Have you asked him out?” Gareth asked.
Eddie shook his head, keeping his forehead still pressed down against the metal. A brief pause from above him as the band had a silent conversation, and Frank spoke in a very hesitant tone.
“Does he know?”
‘Does he know’ was such a blank statement. Does he know you have feelings? Eddie was pretty sure he did. Does he know that you watched your best friend die? No. Does he know why you’re in Hawkins? No.
But Eddie knew what they were asking.
Does he know that you are ‘The Eddie Munson’?
He shook his head again ever so slightly.
“He doesn’t know you’re a world famous rockstar?!” Gareth burst out. Eddie’s head flew back up and he gave Gareth a death glare.
“Keep your voice down!” He hissed, looking back in the cafe. Steve was still by the counter, now ringing up a little old lady, giving her a gentle smile as he handed over a pretty pink box.
“Does he live under a rock?” Frank asked, staring at Steve through the window like he was from another planet.
“Be less obvious,” Eddie complained, rubbing at his temples. “He doesn’t live under a rock. He lives in Hawkins fucking Indiana and he hates social media. Steve barely even uses his Instagram, and that’s only to look at pictures of his best friend who’s traveling the world right now as a guitar player on some lesbian cruise.”
Remembering all that truly was a testament to how much Eddie liked Steve. He had never laid eyes on Robin Buckley, but he already knew she was Steve’s other half; she co-owned the cafe, she spoke five languages, and she played four instruments- one of which was guitar, hence the whole ‘running away for three months to play guitar on a lesbian cruise’.
Chrissy would have adored her.
“You have to tell him, Eddie,” Jeff said softly, giving Eddie a look. “He can’t find out from tabloids or paparazzi or something. It’s a miracle no one’s recognized you yet.”
“I know. I know. I’ve tried,” Eddie said, slightly desperate. He ran his fingers through his hair, pulling on the end of his curls. “I tried more than once, but every time it gets close I just-”
Tears pricked at the edges of his eyes, and the next breath he sucked in was unexpectedly shaky.
Fuck.
“If I tell him, then I have to tell him everything,” Eddie said, his voice breaking into a whisper halfway through, “and I can’t- I don’t know how-”
“That’s why we came here, even though we knew you didn’t want us,” Frank said, cutting off Eddie’s weak attempts at explaining himself.
“Because of Steve?” Eddie asked.
“Because of Chrissy,” Jeff clarified, making the lump in Eddie’s throat grow three times bigger. “Today was supposed to be the day.”
The day. The start of their big tour. The tour that was going to lead to a new album, that was going to get them that Grammy, that would put Corroded Coffin in the history books forever.
The tour that Eddie had completely screwed up.
“Guys… I’m sorry,” Eddie started, getting cut off by Jeff’s hand on his arm and Gareth shaking his head.
“Don’t start down that road, man. Once you let that monkey on your back, you’ll never get it off,” Frank said easily, spitting wisdom like it meant nothing to him. “She was your best friend.”
Best friend. What a stupid way to categorize Chrissy. Steve said Robin called him her platonic soulmate, which felt better, but not quite right. Steve just called Robin His Person. His Person, always in a way that you could physically feel the capitalization.
His Person.
Chrissy had been His Person.
“I can’t talk about her yet,” Eddie admitted quietly, feeling shame and smallness covering him like wings. “Hell, I can barely even say her fucking name.”
“You needed time. We were happy to give it to you,” Jeff said, pulling Eddie down off the cross he kept trying to nail himself to.
“But seriously, stop shutting us out. We miss her too,” Gareth tacked on, rubbing fruitlessly at his eyes. He had always been a sympathy crier, and even the hint of any of them breaking down sent him into tears. “We miss you, dude.”
Eddie had missed them too. He hadn’t realized it, but the entire time he had been in Hawkins, he had been looking for them. His bandmates had been with him since they were teens, all of them scared and unsure of the future, but so full of hope it hurt to look back and think about it. They had put their faith in him, and he put his trust in them, and they had made something amazing.
Something Eddie had pushed away the second he could, because he was so sure he didn’t deserve good things, so sure the universe would take them away anyway.
Maybe that was why he couldn’t tell Steve yet.
“And if you don’t lock this guy down, I’ll be missing his amazing goddamn quiches too,” Gareth said after they had all taken a second to cool down. He lifted the last one up and shoved it into his mouth in one bite, immediately coughing as he choked.
“Chrissy would want you to be happy, Eddie,” Jeff said softly as Frank pounded on Gareth’s back trying to dislodge the pastry. “If Steve is gonna make you happy, she would say go for it.”
“I know,” Eddie replied just as quietly. He had said the same thing to himself a dozen times, but hearing it from Jeff somehow made it even more real.
Speaking of Steve, he was walking over with a full tray of drinks.
“Alright I have one black coffee, one latte with a pump of hazelnut syrup and skim milk, and one iced matcha latte,” Steve rattled off as he put down drinks in front of Eddie’s bandmates. He paused after Jeff, giving Eddie a tricky little grin and putting down a colossal cup that was dripping whipped cream onto the saucer it was on.
“And for you, a decaf nonfat white mocha with extra caramel chunks and oatmilk,” Steve declared, both of them breaking into giggles at the sight of the monstrosity.
Just like that the weight that had been holding every single cell captive was gone, erased by the light that Steve brought with him everywhere he went.
“This is disgusting,” Eddie said after taking an experimental sip.
Steve slid into the open seat next to him, dipping his finger into the whipped cream and dabbing Eddie’s nose before licking it up. This led to an inevitable war of whipped cream till they were both sticky with caramel and laughing breathlessly, the rest of Corroded Coffin watching silently.
“Hey Steve,” Gareth said, catching the younger boy’s attention, “Wanna go on a date with Eddie tonight?”
It was like the very air stopped still.
“I’m sorry?” Steve asked, his voice raising up about five octaves. Eddie placed his palms flat on the table, giving his former best friend a triple layer death glare.
“Gareth!” Eddie hissed.
“You’re being a baby bitch about it,” He said, shrugging unapologetically and looking far too casual for the absolute chaos he was creating.
“Eddie thinks you're nice and hot,” Frank tacked on. Eddie let out what could only be described as a primal screech, mentally preparing to murder his bandmates right after Steve got up and ordered them all to leave his cafe and never return.
“He’s scared to make the first move, so we’re making it for him,” Jeff stated, driving the final nail into Eddie’s coffin. “Please go out with him. He’s a mess and he needs someone who can force him to eat a vegetable every once in a while.”
“Oh my god,” Eddie said quietly to himself, burying his face in his hands. He was going to have to throw himself into the Quarry, or let a semi run him over. There was no coming back from this. None.
“Eds?”
He didn’t want to look up. He just wanted to just stay right here until he actually turned to stone. Maybe he could. Maybe he just never needed to move again.
But he did look up, because it was Steve, and Eddie was a total goner for him.
“Are your friends fucking with me, or do you actually want to go on a date?” Steve asked shyly, looking at Eddie with those stupid big eyes that made him want to give Steve the entire goddamn world.
He couldn’t give him the whole world. That wasn’t possible. But, Eddie could give him the truth.
Or, he could give Steve a part of the truth, at least.
“I actually want to go on a date,” Eddie admitted, taking the leap. He wrapped a curl around his finger and chewed nervously on his ring, unable to look Steve in the eye. “But only if you want to, I mean.”
There was a full fifteen seconds of silence in which Eddie was sure he was going to lose his mind. Then a gentle hand pressing at his jaw, turning his head so he was looking Steve in the eye.
“Well, I have to check that Joyce can watch Dustin, but if it’s okay, why don’t you meet me at The Hawk tonight at 7:00. I’ll get the tickets if you buy the popcorn?” He offered, cheeks a deep red.
“Sounds good,” Eddie agreed breathlessly, feeling his heart attempt to leap straight out of his chest and into Steve’s hands.
“Then it’s a date,” Steve said, biting on his lip to try and hold back the huge smile trying to make its way onto his face. “I’m gonna get you a real coffee.”
Steve was up and gone in the blink of an eye, practically flying into the cafe and disappearing into the back despite all of the coffee supplies being right up front. Eddie watched him go, dazed and shocked as the rest of his bandmates shared victorious high fives and happy whoops.
“What just happened?!” Eddie practically screamed the second his brain came back online.

Your Beauty Never Ever Scared Me | Chapter 1
Hawkins, 1888
In dark times... Dark solutions come into the minds of people...
Eddie Munson came from an incredibly poor family, his parents left when he was young and he was taken care of by his uncle, who worked really hard to keep them both afloat
So when the opportunity of marrying his dear boy to the beautiful and desired Chrissy Cunningham, he immediately took it
"You're marrying Chrissy Cunningham..." Wayne had told his nephew with sad eyes, the boy couldn't believe it, he want ready to get married, not to her
Meanwhile in her house she was given the news, happy that she would finally have a husband and would make her life away from her horrible family
Different reactions to the same news...
........................................................
That day, they had to meet each other, before in a few days they would finally be a marriage
Eddie's uncle was telling him everything he had to know about his future wife
"Please be careful how you speak, keep your hands to yourself, be polite, don't overtalk and don't-"
"Uncle Wayne, I understand, I will not be myself..." He said with a sigh "But... I don't want to get married..."
Wayne pinches the bridge of his nose "I know boy, but this is necessary" he sat closer to his nephew "Eddie... We're close to dying of hunger if not there already, this marriage will do great for us..." He looked at the old man in front of him "Please..."
Eddie could only sit back and embrace what would inevitably happen...
Unless there was a way out...
.........................................................
"Mr. Munson! We are... Honored that you're here" Adelia Cunningham said with fake enthusiasm to the old man
"Remind me why we chose him?" Robert Cunningham whispered to his wife as they came down the stairs
"He's the only boy Chrissy's age that didn't die from the plague... Somehow..." She said back in a whisper
Finally down they reluctantly shook hands and invited them in
"Chrissy will join us soon, let us have some tea"
Meanwhile the girl was happily getting ready, brushing her hair and putting on her pearls, with a huge smile she came down the stairs
Eddie in the meantime had found an acoustic guitar reclined to a wall, he grabbed it and tuned it, strumming to it without noticing Chrissy
"It sounds nice" she said scaring him, making him drop the guitar
"Oh my God! I'm so sorry! I didn't hear you! I'm sorry!" He picked it up and put it where it was "Sorry"
"It's okay... I know how to play too, but mom says it isn't lady like" she sighed "I'm Chrissy, you must be Edward"
"Y-yeah but everyone calls me Eddie" he said scratching the back of his neck
"Okay... Eddie" she giggled softly
Meanwhile he wanted earth to swallow him whole, she was beautiful but... Not his style...
........................................................
"No, no, no young Munson it's "With this hand I will lift your sorrows" not your burrows" Priest Murray yelled at Eddie for messing up his vows again
Eddie sighed becoming more desperate and stressed
"Say it again young Munson, like you mean it, or is it that you don't want to get married?!"
Eddie stood silent, not knowing if he could actually answer that or not
Chrissy looked at him, worried "Do you not want to marry me?"
He was starting to sweat from stress, looking around at everyone staring at him for his answer he couldn't do it anymore and ran away
"Eddie wait!"
He ran away as he always did...

Nancy still has the grime of slaughtered demodogs caked onto her skin, the only clean part of her the spots where Doctor Sinclair had cleaned her off and patched her up after the scrape of teeth got too close in the fight. She’s barely slept and she’s spent more time counting heads to make sure everyone actually did make it through that particular battle than she does taking note of her own aches and pains, but they’re so close. She can feel it. Nancy Wheeler is not what one might call an optimist and even still, she can feel it.
and some bear au! perhaps from a future multi-pov, chaos chapter (:
Barb wasn’t always predictable in the way she made decisions. She was an emotion-driven thing, from what Steve could tell, and she had the ability to change her mind about how much she liked you on a dime. At first he had thought there was just something vaguely unstable about her, but the longer Steve hung around, the more time he spent in the kitchen and watched her deal with each new problem that arose, the more he started to get it. Because Barb Holland loved people. First and foremost. She didn’t make decisions based on what would make the restaurant run most efficiently, she made those decisions based on what would make her staff, her customers, her friends and family, the happiest. It’s not the best way to run a business, and Steve sees that more than ever now that she’s gone, but it had made that perceived instability make more sense. It had given rhyme and reason to her choices. It had made him love her, flaws and all.
