A late night Lolex dialogue
I miss Lolex so much so why not I'll write a late night dialogue.
Also, let's just say apart from both the loss of Lolex and my currently both permanently and equally d**d and unresponsive 6 year old 2019 Macbook Pro model; I did felt truthfully more stressful than I was on a personal yet an irrelevant note; sorry. :(
But enjoy this dialogue from me to everyone. ;)
Also, I did felt as if they both are messaging via Sony Ericsson flip Phones especially the T707 phones.
A Lolex text message between Alex and Logan.
Let's just truthfully say, I'll truly imagine Logan is now living in the island of Oahu; Hawaii—both single and living a "Normal daily life" imaginatively in my very own universe. ^_~
Alex: Logan, do you truthfully miss me?
Logan: Yeah, I do; you?
Alex: I do really miss you very much. It hadn't been the same without you; buddy. :(
Logan: I know, it hasn't been the same without you.
Alex: Where are you now living?
Logan: An apartment building, dejectly not in an area near the beach but in the inland area.
Alex: At where, buddy?
Logan: Honolulu, Oahu: Hawaii. If you go near the area near a canal called Ala Wai Canal, it is on the opposite of the canal. Not the one with the hotels but much more inland or makua as what they had told me about. Makua means "Inland".
Alex: Oh okay, but I do truthfully miss you very much that every day I tried not to cry but already it does feels challenging to truthfully hold it back so I did ended up crying.
Logan: ?
Alex: I cried so much all because how you had left me so soon, buddy.
Logan: Sorry, maybe can you look for me at Island Vintage Coffee? It's Hawaii version of SB.
Alex: Okay but at where?
Logan: Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center; next to the pink iconic hotel building at Waikiki.
Alex: Okay. I'll see you there buddy.
Logan: Yep, I'll see you there. Plus you'll get to meet a new friend I had met her when she works at a boutique at the Waikiki Beach Walk.
Alex: Oh, can I get to know her?
Logan: Yes, but I'm going to truly keep it as a secret so no 'true' offense to you; buddy. Sorry. ;P
Alex: Oh. :/
Logan: But I'll make you a special cup of coffee but go get your sleep okay? See you soon.
Alex: Sure, take care of yourself. See you & miss you, bud.
Logan: Same here, I miss you too & take care: bro! Brothers forever & always.

I might make an intro post because why not.
I do digital art, but I use a Samsung galaxy tablet a 8 (2019) with the WORST FUCKING STYLUS, it is one of those shitty rubber dome ones that I fucking hate on a personal level now that I have used one, and my finger is as bad as the stylus. So yeah, I am probably going to post more traditional art than digital lol
I spin pens more than I draw though so I may make posts talking about pen spinning. I used to flip balisongs but I lost my balisongs when I moved (oops).
And I'm also a tech nerd who uses Linux. I have two laptops that run two distros. My Lenovo N23 Chromebook 80YS runs Arch Linux (btw), I call it my "Archbook". And then I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro running Arch linux as well (arch just works for me lol) that one's nickname is the "ArchBook Pro"
This Tumblr blog thingy, whatever it's called is where you can see all my dumbassery.

OK, I’m gobsmacked.
After about a year of dithering about this, I reinstalled Sims 3 1.67 from scratch the pirate way, with some tips from @ktarsims.
(I find it darkly amusing that I’m installing an illegally cracked version of software that I own legally but can’t install because EA wiped the pre-Origin digital installers from the Internet. I’m pretty sure that’s not actually piracy. LOL.)
I have a weird setup, though, because I’m a Mac user. I run Windows 10 in a virtual machine using Parallels, and I run Sims 3 from there. I’ve been doing that since about 2011, since the official Mac version of the game never even got a long addresses upgrade. I’m proud of my setup. I use Smooth Patch and frame rate limiting and NRaas -- I have my game running pretty snappy for Sims 3, much faster and more reliably than it did when it was actually in EA’s support window.
The problem is that I’m running a 2019 Macbook Pro, and that’s the absolute last Mac release to have an Intel processor. Parallels now supports a Windows virtual machine for Apple Silicon, but you can’t port over an existing machine built on an Intel device. If I ever want to upgrade my machine, I have to reinstall from scratch, and I *can’t* do that an stay on 1.67. I figured I’d have to just go on to 1.70, which is hardly the end of the world. I just don’t want to do it.
At any rate, as an experiment, I just installed the entire Games4theWorld archive on a “wine bottle” using CodeWeavers Crossover, just to see if it would work.
Hoooooooly crap.
Not only does it work, it runs about 4x faster and completely smoothly!
Even my medieval save with its laundry list of mods and cc!
With the entire store installed!
It doesn’t even have Smooth Patch!
Or the menu sort fix!
(I’m guessing that Crossover might do something with frame rate.)
Moreover, the colors are more vibrant.
I don’t know what to say. OK, maybe I do. I can’t stop talking.
The only stupid downside is that I don’t seem to be able to run windowed mode at 4:3 aspect ratio, which is what I have always done because the size of screenshots everywhere is pretty much determined by their width. The only value I get for screenshotting widescreen is that my pics are smaller. The game is capable of running at that aspect ratio, but Options only offers me the ability to select screen resolutions that match the aspect ratio of my actual monitor, which is 10:6. I wonder if there’s some way to edit options.ini to make it do what I want. Probably. I’ll have to play.
But seriously. I have to PLAY for a while.
Please, Watcher of Watchers, let it be as stable as it looked in my tests. Don’t taunt me and then make everything crash. Pleeeeeease.
ETA: It was NOT stable. SOB.

I have decided to attempt to resuscitate my friend's old mirosoft surface book which hasn't been charging.
Here is the saga thus far!
Issue #1: Refuses to charge.
it took forever to find out what exactly the computer was because i was told since day one that it was a microsoft surface pro. It's a book. Surface books are apparently very rare and uncommon as when you look for them all you get are pros and various surface laptops, neither of which i had.
On the left: a surface book. On the right: a surface pro. Note the kickstand on the pro and the weird hinge on the book.
These are not the same items!!!!!
Anyways once I figured it out, I found a youtube video telling me how to manually detach the screen from the keyboard. I popped it out, cleaned the charger a little, and charged the tablet. And it worked!
Issue #2: the keyboard doesn't work.
So my friend had spilled soda on it. This is fine, she's a messy person. Except I watched a video where a guy replaced his keyboard and gettin the damn thing to open was an ordeal because it's lued shut. My trusty 2018 Macbook pro which I'm currently writing on? It's secured via screwed. This extremely expensive 2n1 laptop? Secured via glue. That does not bode well for its longevity. I may not know much about computers but you want to be able to easily access the hardware! There's a lot of shit in there!
But. My friend is messy. And the keyboard works? Intermittently? So I took a clorox wipe, the only thing i have on hand, and wiped down the parts that connect the screen to the keyboard.
It works.
Issue #3: The keyboard battery won't charge.
Here's a quirk about the surface book: It can charge by both the tablet and the keyboard. The tablet battery? Working perfectly. THe keyboard battery? Not so much. The computer isn't even picking it up.
A quick google tells me that this has been an issue since at least 2019. The keyboard part just dies. So. That's fun.
I need actual isopropyl alcohol to see if i can clean out the port and see if that helps. Beyond that idk.
#talk tag#tech saga#this has been a small part of my afternoon#hopefully i dont have to break it open#it's an ordeal#the guy i watched used his 3d printer to warm up his computer and a heatgun to do the rest#i just have a blow dryer

alright people here's one for ya: I have a USB full of files from when I still had my MacBook Pro (lasted me from 2014 to 2019 before it crapped out on me). I was young and foolish and didn't think to convert the files from Apple's word processor (Pages) to Word documents before saving everything over to the USB. now I have a brick full of files I can't access because Microsoft Word doesn't recognizes .pages and neither does Google Docs, so I can't transfer anything across the platforms basically. short of getting another Apple product with Pages loaded onto to it and opening the files in that to export them to .doc, is there any kind of secure converter online I can use to change .pages files to .doc? I'm a little desperate here lol. I've got years worth of writing and notes I can't access because of Apple' stupid self-contained file type 😭
#apple products#icloud#microsoft word#idk what I'm doing my first laptop ever was an apple product so I was never introduced to like any kind of software that's actually Good#I just want to get back my old files 😔😭

Almost Perfect
This might be as close as Apple has ever come to releasing a perfect computer. The previous holder of this title was the 16" MacBook Pro from 2019. However, the M4 Mac Mini is absolutely a work of art–dethroning the previous title holder with ease.
The performance, specs, ports (USB-C everything and Thunderbolt 5), and Mac Studio mini styling is absolutely next level. The bump on the low-end to 16GBs of RAM and the repairability just seal the deal.
I have only two complaints:
No longer 1U - I rack mount most of my Mac Mini machines–and I have a lot of them so the loss of the 1U form factor hurts.
Power button location - I hate the power button location with a passion. I am not trying to stir up the debate, but to me it is the wrong solution for a problem that I don't think was really all that prevalent. (Why couldn't they just recess the power button?)
No matter how you slice it–the Mac Mini is a terrific value with terrific efficiency (This is mostly a function of the M4.). The computer gets so much right, and is a true return to greatness for Apple! Hopefully, they continue to deliver these sorts of amazing updates!
The Enterprise Mac - Perspective
YouTube and the internet are filled with standard technology news takes on this product, so now let's shift the conversation to the point of this blog–the perspective as an enterprise Mac.
If you think about the enterprise office environment–where users aren't taking their machines home the Mini fills an interesting niche. You have a machine that at its base specification will perform well in a well curated security agent environment. It has enough power to run just about anything–with an upgrade path to perform well even under demanding workloads with the M4 Pro chipset.
The size means you can minimize desk space and clutter. It even has some interesting possibilities being mounted behind say a large monitor.
Moving out of the office to the remote worker–the M4 Mini form factor is great for the small home office and can be paired with enough displays to keep even the multi-high-resolution display crowd happy (see the tech specs). The power sipping doesn't hurt–especially if you live somewhere where electricity is eye-wateringly expensive.
Storage is a bit lackluster at 256GBs, but recall in the business world many times the computer is just a terminal and not a place where data should be kept (If needed, you can simply toss the computer and replace it in a matter of hours or less.). In that world where data lives in source control and other accessible, secure, backed up and redundant locations the small drive is not as limiting as it might seem.
Add to this the price point starting at $599 and only rising to $1399 for the base M4 Pro model you have a tremendous value proposition on a machine that is likely to last out past 4 years. Apple already has a reputation for good value for money in the business-world both for the hardware and cost to maintain–the new Mini just continues to solidify that.
Keep an Eye On
MacStadium is a good vendor to keep an eye on for their perspectives on the new Mini–given how many they operate and the unique place that the Mini fills for them. See here and here.
Also Amazon AWS may have some interesting perspectives on the new Mini–its power and new form factor. This is the other half of the business equation–how it fits into large scale compute environments which back so much of the business world today.

I’m forcing (I’m kidding) my father to buy me a MacBook next year if I get a 97% + in my class 12th exams.
Which one should I get ??? And do you have any suggestions 😭😭🥳🥳
oooh wowow that's awesome! good luck on your exams!
i have a macbook pro 13-inch from 2019. it's OKAY. like it serves its purpose and that's so i can use it to write when i'm in bed lol and for uni work when i was at uni. honestly i can't have too many tabs open at the same time and i had to stop using google chrome because every time i would, the laptop would shit itself. firefox and safari are fine. i can run photoshop if i need to but it gets a bit mad about it.
i would say it's good for uni/study/casual purposes! i'm not sure about the newer models but i'd say they'd be even better in terms of performance than this model.

From the Archives: Unboxing the iMac Pro FINALLY!Hey guys, it's Josh here, and today I have a super exciting unboxing video for you. Before we dive in, I need to apologize for the makeshift setup. We’re house-sitting right now, so I don’t have my usual equipment. I’m filming this with a mirrorless camera, no microphone, no tripod, and no professional lighting. But I couldn’t wait to unbox this beauty any longer, so let’s get right into it.Why I Chose the iMac ProThis isn’t just any unboxing; it's the iMac Pro, and I’m thrilled to share this moment with you. A little backstory: I purchased this from Newegg. If you’re not familiar with Newegg, it’s an amazing electronics website where you can find everything from computer components to TVs and other consumer electronics.I was specifically looking for a refurbished iMac to save some money. When I stumbled upon this Apple-certified refurbished iMac Pro on Newegg, it was a no-brainer. The deal was incredible—23% off the original retail price. To give you some numbers, a brand-new base configuration iMac Pro would set you back $4,999. Thanks to Newegg, I got this one for $3,849. Even better, Newegg didn’t charge sales tax, unlike Apple’s official refurbished section, which had this model priced over $4,000 plus tax. So, I managed to save a significant amount of money, which is always a win.Unboxing the iMac ProAlright, enough about the backstory—let’s get to the unboxing! The packaging is top-notch, with a sturdy foam box to protect the contents during shipping. I remember my previous iMacs having pictures on the box, but this one is all about minimalism, featuring just the serial number and specs on the side.As I peel off the Apple tape and open the box, the first thing that catches my eye is the keyboard. It’s a sleek, dark color, which I love because it won’t show dirt and grime as easily as the white ones. Plus, it has a number pad—a must-have for me. Alongside the keyboard, there’s the Magic Mouse, also in black. While I appreciate the aesthetic, I actually prefer using a Logitech thumb-ball mouse for ergonomic reasons. Now, for the main event—the iMac Pro itself. The packaging here is interesting; instead of the usual foam, it's housed in a specially molded cardboard, ensuring a snug fit. The power cable is neatly wrapped, adding to the overall premium feel.First Impressions and SetupBreaking the seal and pulling out the iMac Pro, I’m reminded of the old saying, “A thing of beauty is a joy forever.” This machine is stunning. I’ve been working with underpowered computers for far too long. My previous setup was a 2012 MacBook Pro, and in 2019, it just couldn’t keep up with my needs anymore. Prior to that, I built my own Windows machines, but always on a tight budget, so they were never top-of-the-line.Setting up the iMac Pro is going to revolutionize my workspace. I have a TV and an external monitor ready to go, plus some audio monitors that I plan to get stands for. This setup is going to be a game-changer for my productivity and creativity.Final ThoughtsUnboxing this iMac Pro has been a thrilling experience, and I can’t wait to start using it. If you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up, and don’t forget to subscribe for more tech content. I FEEL you so hard. Have had my iphone XR since 2019 and it works ok (battery life is still ok and it doesn’t crash ALL the time) but i can’t wait until it’s practically a brick so i can switch to an android without guilt. The faceID kills me and I’m practically never using it (got a thin scratch in the glass above the selfie camera 2 years ago, so i have to make sure no light is randomly bouncing on the scratch when I unlock my phone, or the halo blocks everything) and it’s like having a babysitter version of a phone. I’m not allowed to use any applications not vetoed by Apple Inc. and almost all features are so much less customisable… sure, and iphone is great in some regards (5S and XR have been surprisingly good models in my experience) but for the past 3 years I’ve felt soo limited by Apple’s philosophy
Well, good news (or bad depending on how long you want to keep that phone), the iPhone XR is most likely next on Apple's chopping block of support. The iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X were all dropped with the release of iOS 17, last September. If Apple keeps on their linear path, this September, with the release of iOS 18, the iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max will all be dropped. Apple usually gives phones two years of security patches after they're dropped, however, so it depends on what you consider a "brick." I, unfortunately, have an iPhone 12-series phone, so I've got at least two more years of updates left, four if I wanna push my goal to the security update deadline.
Also, for the Face ID issue, idk if you've tried this, but try doing a rescan. Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode, and click "Set Up an Alternate Appearance." I don't know if all iPhones have this. I think they may have added it for the iPhone 12-series and newer, but if you have it, give it a try and see if it helps smooth over Face ID. By teaching it what you look like with the scratch interfering, it may be able to better compensate for it. If you're phone doesn't have that, you could always try tapping "Reset Face ID," too, to force it to re-scan. Although, with damaged glass, I don't know if it'll let you.
The App Store is another point of contention for me, too. I have a 2011 MacBook Pro that's been "obsolete" since 2017, when macOS High Sierra stopped getting updates. I wiped the drive clean and put Linux (Zorin OS) on it, and it's actually been really great. It runs like it's native. The problem, though, is that using Linux has opened my eyes to just how few free & open-source apps support iOS because of Apple's bullshit App Store requirements and $99/year developer fee. A lot of the apps I use on this computer are great, and they support Android, but they don't support iOS. It's a real bummer, and I'm just tired, in general, of not being able to do the things I want with my phone, so unless Apple decides to get really cool, really fast, this will certainly be my last iPhone. (Especially with iOS 18 coming with RCS Message support, almost entirely eliminating the difference between iMessage and Android to iPhone messaging.)
And I'm not trying to shit on Apple too much because Google is worse in plenty of ways. I have plenty of Apple devices from an iPhone, to an M1 iMac, to an Apple TV, etc. Apple makes really good hardware (with the exception of its repairability). Their problem is that they hold themselves back with their own greed. We've seen it with plenty of devices. The Apple Vision Pro is a great example. Apple thought they could use their brand image to make the device successful, but they recently had to cut production in half because demand fell off so steeply. If VisionOS was open and easy to develop for, then I'm sure it could've been a success, but Apple's desire to control everything has gotten in its way. I mean, who wants to develop for a $3,500 headset where you have to pay $99/year for a developer account, and then $400 for an Apple Vision Proprietary Port to USB-C adapter?
The Mac is honestly in the same boat. I saw a YouTube Short of a developer explaining why they dropped Mac Support, and it makes sense. To make an app on each platform you have to:
Windows
Have a PC
Code the app in any application of your preference.
Compile for Windows
Linux
Have the same PC
Code the app in any application of your preference.
Start a Virtual Machine and open the project inside it.
Compile for Linux
macOS
Buy Mac hardware ($600 for the base model Mac mini)
Pay Apple $99/year for a developer account
Code the app in Apple's Xcode
Acquire and add a Code Signature to the app so that macOS doesn't throw a fake error when attempting to open it.
Compile for macOS
If you want to upload your app to the Mac App Store, get Apple's blessing that it follows their guidelines.
Wait at least 24-hours before updates are published so Apple can approve them.
Give Apple a 15-30% cut of any money made from the App.
I used to thing that macOS had shit app support because developers just didn't want to support a niche market, but now I know it's the opposite that is true. Even if Linux has an even smaller market, it's as easy as clicking another button or booting up a free Virtual Machine and then clicking said button. You can use all the same hardware and programs. It's literally free to compile for Linux, and it expands your user base.
Meanwhile, for macOS, you have to spend a minimum of $700 just to make the app. Then, if you're not an A-List developer, you have to give a portion of your proceeds to Apple so you can put your app on their App Store for the exposure. Who the fuck would wanna do that?
Apple's death grip on their products worked for the iPhone and Apple Watch because they were both relatively new products to their respective category, but in a market where technology is starting to plateau, I'm simply no longer interested in supporting this behavior, mostly because I want to be able to use my favorite FOSS on all my devices, not just the non-Apple ones.

Saturday Morning Coffee
Good morning from Charlottesville, Virginia! ☕️
L.V. Anderson • Slate
As an adult, Kunz loves real coffee. But he also believes that its days are numbered. Climate change is expected to shift the areas where coffee can grow, with some researchers estimating that the most suitable land for coffee will shrink by more than half by 2050 and that hotter temperatures will make the plants more vulnerable to pests, blight, and other threats.
Say it ain’t so! First off we’d all be walking around like zombies. Second, I’d have to change the name of this series. Does Saturday Morning Chicory? Doesn’t quite work for me.

When Tool released their latest album Fear Inoculum back in 2019, it was the band’s first new release since 2006’s 10,000 Days. That’s a long fuckin’ time for new music from any band, let alone one with such a rabid fan base as Tool, and it’s something frontman Maynard James Keenan admits probably can’t happen again.
Yes, Tool kept us in suspense for 13 years — Maynard says 14 — but Fear Inoculum was so worth the wait. Now, do I want them to wait for 13 more to produce a new album? I do not. I’m ready for more but if they never produce another studio album I’d be ok with it as long as they keep touring.
Personally I’d love to see them release a bunch of live covers they’ve done through the years. Their version of Led Zeppelin’s No Quarter is so good and Ted Nugent’s Stranglehold, played 1998 in Michigan featuring Buzz from Melvins on guitar is a real banger. Collect them up and do a cover album. I’d love that.

While honeymooning in Rome, we spotted an Italian translation of my second book in the display window of a quaint old shop two blocks from the Colosseum.
Jeffrey Zeldman has given us so many wonderful blog posts through the years. It seems like he doesn’t post nearly as often as he used to so when he does they’re nice reads. This one is short and it’s a fun story.

In just two months, SwiftUI will be five years old. First released for macOS Catalina in 2019, it’s hard to believe that it’s only two years younger than APFS. Although I’ve been happily developing my apps using AppKit, one of the major components of Cocoa, I’ve been trying to recreate my app Skint using SwiftUI, so I can create a widget for it.
Neat little tour of Apple frameworks and SwiftUI observations. The bottom line is SwiftUI has some catching up to do. I know it gets better and better with each passing year but it does hold back some apps from making a pure 1:1 transition from UIKit/AppKit to SwiftUI.
Don’t worry, they’ll get there eventually. The good thing is you can drop back to UIKit/AppKit if the SwiftUI version of an API doesn’t support your needs.

Sources familiar with Microsoft’s plans tell The Verge that Microsoft is confident that a round of new Arm-powered Windows laptops will beat Apple’s M3-powered MacBook Air both in CPU performance and AI-accelerated tasks.
I hope this is accurate. It would be nice to see Windows boxes compete with M series chips.

“Dune: Part Two” is barreling to streaming. The epic sci-fi sequel, starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, will become available to rent and purchase on digital starting Apr. 16, and will release on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on May 14.
I’ll be purchasing the Blu-ray, DVD, Digital combo the day it’s available. What a great film.
Juli Clover • MacRumors
Apple is leasing 45,000 square feet of space in an office building in Miami, reports Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Miami? Really, Apple? Miami? I guess y’all use slave labor in China to produce hardware. Might as well go hang out in a state with an authoritarian Governor hell bent on making Florida a third world state. Disappointing.
Mark Frauenfelder • Boing Boing
A woman who left over $1,000 in tips at a Florida taco restaurant because she thought she was going to be swept up in the biblical rapture on the day of the eclipse, now wants a Rapture refund, claiming the restaurant defrauded her.
Hey, if you’re all in on being Raptured and believe, why worry about that money? You made some people’s lives a little brighter and a little better.
I can’t see this going anywhere.

A life update- 5th September 24
Very long post so . . . you might want to be prepared for a long and lengthy post here.
Aloha everybody,
so it has been a while ever since I did an actual post of my own on Tumblr however there are sad news I do want to truthfully share with everyone ever since it has been a long while I did an actual post on here.
Firstly, the first sad news I got to say is my 6 year old 2019 Macbook Pro had gone dead on me last night after dinner and when i did tried to turn it back on and also I tried pressing all of the correct keys onto the keyboard of the Macbook Pro unfortunately it didn't truthfully work which does truthfully worries me ever since I am going to have a huge and grave loss over many of the files I had neglected it for way too long and worse; those files won't be truthfully recovered at all to be honest ever since the 6 year old Macbook with the now discontinued touch bar had decided to take it's own life dejectedly out of nowhere.
(For anyone who are truthfully wondering what is the type of Macbook model I am using; the Macbook Pro I am using is a 6 year old 2019 model with the now discontinued touch bar which I'd think it might be a relief because I truthfully don't know whether my 6 year old Macbook pro with the touch can be repairable and if not then I guess I'll have to start all over with a brand new Macbook; a brand new OS [That's Mac OS Sonoma which I am not feeling truthfully impressed about in my own opinion.] and most of all having to re-do so many of the work I did have neglected for way too long honestly and clearly.)
Secondly, I have been feeling truthfully missing for a very long while ever since i do have to focus on my current job where I am now working as a receptionist in addition to a cleaner as well whom she did have to clean up the massage beds and sanitize it as well ever since working with not one but two jobs can be so challenging especially when we are talking about how it may look like family owned business but in reality you only have two people running the business and yet they both are part of the family which is actually both an advantage and a disadvantage.
(Again, I am actually working at a my family's Traditional Chinese Clinic in case if you are wondering what exactly I am truthfully talking about here obviously.)
Despite how I also lost many of the documents from my now 6 year old dead Macbook Pro I am supposed to do it for here as well as my personal blog however the good news is that I did managed to publish the Lolex AUS GP 24-Paula's edition onto my personal blog in earlier of this year in addition to many of the pictures I did truthfully saved on both my Macbook as well as publishing and uploading them on both my personal blog and also here as well plus my X account as well, i guess if there is one lesson I did truthfully learn from the experience of having a Macbook pro; it is to make sure to always back up on everything and never ever (EVER) forget your files especially the ones which you had seldom used it ever since Macbook doesn't last for long and make sure, you can take very good care of it as well plus to make it both clear and understanding; make sure you can always back-up your files every now and then from your very own laptop everybody since we may never know what is going to truthfully happens to your laptop everyone.
Thirdly, although I do have to re-write many of the writing projects by paper and pen (More accurately; both my diary and also a pen as well) and also on my iPad as well which I am feeling thankful I have it to make sure I can do the writing just in case if something goes wrong with my laptop plus it is also going to take a very long while ever since I do easily get drained and burned out both from my very own work in real life as well as having to truthfully experience on what feels like a 'One hour/ 1 Hour ride' back to home and vice versa going to work now ever since my estranged family/ ohana have to move out to a brand new location back in the month of November which is around late November 2022 all because of the nosy and the equally talkative neighbors whom they do truthfully have nothing to do all day but to simply gossip on about us out of both jealousy and spite from two houses away from the old and currently vacant old house where we used to live for 17 years long and honestly; to dig a deeper hole into the grave; the opposite neighbor of the nosy and talkative neighbors whom all they want to do is to gossip about us as if we are truthfully the main topic of both the news and the gossip in addition to also thinking about how we are also 'The talk of the town' just as when they mentally think we are the same as the royal family however we are just only a normal family whom we are all just living with our normal daily lives from the house no. 22; unfortunately another terrible neighbor we do have to truthfully experience is how the daughter had told her mother about how she felt so scared about going to sleep at night in her own room only because of how loud and noisy yet irritatingly crazy (But more so in a paranoid type of way where people would ask you questions of are you mentally ill or not honestly.) I am for making so much of noise very late at night then this is where we are truthfully forced to move out of late November 2022 to a brand new house and a brand new location where everyone seems to be very happy but I am the only one who seems to be the one and only genuinely unhappy camper from the move to the brand new house and the brand new area obviously.
And finally, i know this does feels like a very long post on here however I'll only be returning to writing if I am feeling truthfully both equally productive and also creative about the idea of the writing process however with so many of the things are happening in my very own real life in a very crazy way (Not in either a good way nor it does happens in a bad way but more so of a bumpy way where I did felt as if I am surfing in the waters of Waikiki during the summer season); I won't be continuing doing any writing projects unless if I am truthfully and willing to do it thus if there is another lesson I do have to pretty much learn from the experience, I'd think it is truthfully okay to take the time to truthfully take a step back and also having to truthfully prioritize and take care of yourself first despite how it does truthfully selfish and uptight at certain times but . . . if there is a lesson we can learn from it; I would say, it is truthfully okay to take steps back & take care of yourself first.
Anyway, since this is a very long and lengthy life update I have done it on here for the very first time however i am going to definitely carry on with this blog as usual whenever I can truthfully get the time to do any of the writing (Plus if you didn't feel like doing it; that's truly okay because another lesson we can definitely learn is our own personal projects isn't going anywhere for real--I learn that lesson from Tina who is Imawonder as both an artist and also a YouTuber from YouTube as well as a business owner of her very own online art shop of Imawonder.) Projects however I'll still sometimes pop in whenever I can on here plus I'll see you all very soon; take really good care of yourself and sending endless peace, love and prayers to everyone in general.

My Tech Setup
I’ll make separate posts for my software and bass guitar setups, but here’s my current tech hardware setup.
The overview. Details incoming!
MacBook Pro
My Mac is the center of it all — and I’m living the laptop-desktop lyfe.
Now, there are many things I like about living in Norway. And one of them, is that we’ve mandated by law that things like computers needs to have a 5-year warranty(ish). And this also applies to second-hand owners! So buying used Apple gear, is great here — and that’s how I bought my MacBook Pro when it was 10 months old.
It’s a 14-inch M1 Pro base model, with 512 GB of storage and 16 GB of RAM.
I do have to be mindful of the storage, and occasionally, I push the RAM. But it still works tremendously. I’ve never been this happy with a computer before.
Did you notice the Macbook in the previous image?
Apple Studio Display
Yes, it’s too expensive — but no, it’s not the same as just having a 4k screen. **And look at everything that happens when I connect one Thunderbolt cable to my Mac! **👇🏻
Power to the Mac
Power to the Xiaomi Mi Monitor Light 🖇️ (Website)
Laneware Macro-1
Laneware LW-67 keyboard
Both with Less but better keycaps and
Boba U4 switches (U4Ts in the large buttons).
Lightning cable for the Apple Magic Trackpad
Universal Audio Volt 2 🖇️ (Website)
PreSonus Eris E3.5 🖇️ (Website)
Grado SR125 (I don’t have X, though) 🖇️ (Website)
Røde NT-USB Mini 🖇️ (Website)
I just love that I can unplug one cable, and just take my laptop home with me.
When I had this at my home office, I also connected ethernet to the spare port, a mouse in the USB-A hub, and some more stuff.
I've tilted the trackpad (and its wrist rest), to improve the ergonomics. I should probably get a split keyboard as well...
Makes it easier to connect both my headphones and speakers to the Mac, and I also use it for bass rehearsel and recording, and for testing pedal boards. Fastened with Dual Lock.
The mic and monitors are fine - nothing more, nothing less. But very practical!
These sound great! Especially with Crinacle's EQ preset set through . Tons of leakage, though.
Desk accessories
The wool desk mat was custom ordered (to me previous, tiny, desk) from this Etsy store. The, equally custom, wrist rests are from this Etsy store.
I almost never need a wallet - so Apple's MagSafe wallet is perfect. The Moleskin notebook is just as under used.
The iPad and headphones stand is IKEA’s (very cheap) Havrehoj. I like it a lot!
iPad
I have the iPad Pro 11-inch from 2018 (the first with the flat sides), with LTE and 256 GB of storage. I also bought this used — in 2019, and it still works well (even though I’m starting to notice that it’s 5.5 years old, with the occasional slowdown). I’m one of those who loves having LTE — as it’s so nice to never having to worry about internet connection. I also used it as my «whiteboard» when I was a teacher — and could just switch to LTE if the school’s network was struggling. 1
I also have the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard, which I like.
iPhone
Not in the first image, as it took it.
I’m a noted Mini iPhone enjoyer, and my iPhone 13 Mini (in Midnight) has worked perfectly since the day I got it. It fixed all the issues of the 12 Mini, and is a top-tier iPhone IMO.
Here are some things I’ll say ’til the day I die (and will fight everyone who disagrees with 💪🏻):
The ordinary (potential) Mini buyer is on a long update cycle, and has also bought SE phones. So when the SE got updated half a year before the 12 Mini’s release, many of those had recently bought a phone — and this hurt the sales.
The 15 Plus phone also «flopped», but doesn’t get nearly the same amount of flak!
The lineup with the 13 Mini, 13, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max was the perfect lineup. Apple should be able to include a mini phone in their trillion dollar pipeline anyway. I don’t have particularly small hands (I just like to be able to use my phone one-handed), but many people do and should be well-served as well.
Here’s to hoping the next SE is a Mini. 🤞🏻 (But I doubt it. And, my next phone is probably a Pro for the cameras anyway…)
I also have the first gen AirPods Pro. I really like them, but I’ve had some troubles with them, and had to return them a couple of times. Luckily, there’s the whole government mandated warranty — so even though I bought them in 2019, I got brand-new ones (for free) as late as the fall of 2023. 🙌🏻
No, it’s far from as nice to just share from your phone. ↩︎

Week 10: 50 words per object
Led vfx screens
These screens represent the start of my visual creative journey as I started helping out with technology at my church. This experience allowed me to gain lots of creative experience and have fun times with good mates and people who I admire.
Hummingbird poster
This poster is one of many I have acquired which was a habit I picked ups hen I moved into Auckland CBD for university. At first it was for some free decor but it is also an inspiration for me and my own design.
Lord of the Rings box set
This box set was gifted to me by my grandparents and I chose it as an element as it represents the love of reading anything I can get my hands on. Lord of the Rings was a series I really loved as a kid and I still enjoy rereading the books on trips.
Bookshelf
My bookshelf represents a lot of the books I have really loved for a long time. To represent it, I took a picture and illustrated it, but chose to leave the spines blank because I know as I grow in my walk different books will have more or less meaning to me.
Poster wall
This poster wall is the summation of my favorite ‘borrowed’ posters from k road and the CBD. It ended up taking over 2 walls of my flat and made the space feel more fun. I think now part of my motivation as a designer is to make posters that some art kid is gonna tear down and take home and stick it up in their flat to their flatmates or parents chagrin.
Blue wall
Although it is not in this illustration, the wall in my room of my childhood home is blue, and I would stick things I found interesting up on it. I didn’t realise until I got to uni and all the lecturers talked about collecting stuff that it was a sign of a creative to have the desire to keep everything you find cool.
Wacom tablet
I brought this Wacom tablet in 2019 or so when I realise I really liked digital art and I wanted to pursue it. It was the cheapest thing I could find and while I should buy a better one, I can’t quite bring myself to spend a thousand dollars when this works.
Midi board
This APC40 mxii board is what I use to operate resolute arena and is the first piece of technology I got any good at using, which is significant to me because technology isn’t my forte!
MacBook Pro
This is the computer I use for uni, which was a hand-me-down from my mother. its the main tool I use for my creative process, from looking for inspiration to sending off a final draft.
Chapter one
This book is written by the founder of thank you, Daniel Flynn. It is one of my favorite books of all time and by far the most inspiring thing to not only my own interest in business but also one’s ability to do good in the world. My dream is to do graphic design for them one day.
Plants 1
It wasn’t until I moved into my own apartment that I really started to get into taking cuttings and propagating plants, and how my houseplant collection is quite sizable. This isn’t nessecarily strictly related to my creative process, but is a nice way to calm down and nurture a nice space.
Headphones
My WH-100XM4 headphones, which were a gift from my parents in high school, get daily use as listening to music is something I really enjoy- especially when I am spending a lot of time commuting. As I have gotten older I have started to spend more time listening to audio books as well.
Morgs letter
When I left high school, my beloved art teacher mrs. Morgan, who I would’ve spent the majority of my time with in school over the past three years, wrote me a note on the back of this print. The work ethic, technical skills, and concepts she instilled in me are still something I think about to this day, and I would not be in the place I am if not for her.
2004 Macintosh
This computer was actually a gift from a friend quite recently, however it reminds me of my childhood spending an hour a day (but no more!) on my parent’s home office Mac.
The Loyal Workshop bag
The significance of this bag lies in the brand that made it, the Loyal workshop. Their mission is to rescue women from the sex trade and train them with valuable skills and provide employment to them by selling these bags and other high quality leather goods.
‘Are we human’ design book
I recently purchased this book at the AGI conference because it caught my eye due to the beautifully simple binding, and interesting content. I have not had a chance to fully read it yet but look forward to stepping into another persons perspective on art and design.
Pens
Before I got into any form of digital art or design, I have always loved to draw. It helps me when I can see and visualize things in a tangible way, which is why for this project I wanted to emulate the way I think by illustrating all my items and hung them up in a tangible 3D space.
Paints
These are the paints I store in a shoebox to use every time I have a painting project. I collected them throughout my years doing paint in high school. They are close to my heart as part of my creativity.
Karangahape road perfume poster
The K road perfume is close to my heart because of it’s link to where I lived for the start of my university degree and it always reminds me of the fun times and also weirder and more dangerous times from K road. Also Sam Stutchbury and his work with and for Motion Sickness is inspiring to me
Plants 2
The first plant is the first plant I brought for myself, about half a year into my house plant collection. Others had been gifts of propagations and this one I paid for! (Shocking, I know) My aunt runs a flower farm, and gave me the middle plant when I was in high school as a gift. The other rounder plant was a gift from my parents this year as they are finally fueling my plant obsession!

I am a Low Key Nerd and Naturalist
Nerd is so passé, I prefer 'complex human being'. But what I do know is, I am not apologizing to anyone for anything I wish to post. I ain't got no kids, and my parents is long dead. Last I checked ain't a single person paying one bill up in this house except me, I have no one to be beholden to regarding my activities.
Generally speaking I like to stay away from including nudes on this particular blog since I have posted more than enough of that other places on the internet. But, I feel no need to pretend that if I am going to get the opportunity I am going to celebrate my work before anything else.
Meaning I am mildly excited about iPad iOs 17, which in all actuality only has like really five cool updates, but one of them that I am not sure if its been on the phone for a minute or not, is the changing lock screens.
On my early 2008 Macbook Pro I had my desktop changing like every ten seconds with a bunch of photos from my porn archive which I had on an external drive. I always love to have an electronic device with some changing element. Traditionally on my tablets, and this is my third, I utilize my abstract work as lock and home screens. Usually two different images that will be unique to that specific device.
This Os update now allows me to indulge myself and my body dysmorphia, or put a more public face on my tablet. Albeit I plan on never leaving the house after that damn flu I caught on my daily walks, I think the public face for my tablet will be rarely used.
Another feature which is solely a personal fav is the ability to run more than one timer at a time. Sometimes I am washing something and want it to soak for four hours and during this time I may order some food and need to set a ten minute timer so I can perfectly time getting dressed for the delivery person. Now I can do that!
I also love how they show the countdown on the lock screen. I am going to be honest since I don't have a phone the lock screen was never a big thing to be, but with the tweaks to the clock and the widgets Apple is making it a more welcome place for a bit more creativity and self expression.
I love how they took into consideration the vertical and horizontal orientation that tablet user utilize and made sure the screens could be formatted to the orientation of the device, it took me playing on my second tablet to find the fully tweaks, but I enjoyed the intuitiveness in the design.
Eighteen page PDF, I read the whole thing about all the new features, so many things I don't use like the health app, air pods, Safari, FaceTime or rarely use if at all. I did try out the new iMessage tricks and tried out the new tool bar they have changed out the old one for.
I love how we can do voice notes that are sent with transcriptions. It makes the audio a bit more permanent, since I am sure the transcript can be copied and pasted. But I enjoy sharing my voice with folks so they can get all the nuance of exactly what I am saying and most importantly HOW I am saying it.
Technology and me have always been friends but I think it wise to use it smartly and don't overdo it. My twenty-seven year old nephew has a Macbook Air, AirPods, Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPad. I told the nigga straight up he needs to buy some stock in Apple with him putting so much money in their pocket! #ForRealThough
I have only had like five computers and three tablets:
Mac SE (91 - 97 | returned to Campi)
Apple Powerbook 5300 (96 - 97 | recalled by Apple)
Apple Powerbook 1400c (97 - 01 | still have)
iMac G3 (02 - 09 | lent to Techu, never returned)
Macbook Pro (08 to present)
Tablets
iPad - 16 GB (2008 to present)
iPad Pro - 256 GB (2019 to present)
iPad Pro - 1 TB (2022 to present)
Currently I still use two of my tablets, and now that I have deleted a lot of data I can use my Macbook Pro to take trips down memory lane in the form of old photos, designs, videos and memories. I am a bougie bitch and primarily only deal with Apple. I could have bought a new laptop but my iPad Pro especially with the Apple Magic Keyboard really has all the computing power I need for my current needs.
I did win a FreePC through that advertising scheme years ago, where they gave away "free" Windows computers that had very heavy advertising on them. Anyway my yoga was shot today because I spent the morning on my laptop then got caught up in iOs 17 and that was all she wrote.
Today is supposed to be my regularly scheduled program day and I only got through two episodes of Killing Eve. Anyhow let me attempt to watch my shows, albeit I am excited I have a new distraction that is creating great content for my mini-blog and allowing me to reconnect with some folks who I am sharing what I find.
