stutter? that's ok, they're more than happy to wait to let you get the words out, it just gives them an extra few seconds to appreciate your voice. Even if you get caught up on the same word a few times or the whole sentence struggles a little, they're not gonna make fun of you. It's you talking, what could ever be 'wrong' with that?

mix up your words? that's totally ok! whether you'd rather try again and say what you actually meant to say or just wanna repeat a few bits so they get the gist, they're not gonna make fun of you. even if you don't notice that you swapped around some words, they've gotten pretty good at deciphering your meaning, time together letting them hone their skills.

forget what you were saying halfway through it? that's totally fine too! whether they give you a few minutes to try and remember or just move past it till something jogs your memory again, they're fine to offer up some ideas on what it might've been about or a new topic to get your mind off of it.

use a lot of 'fluff' in your speech (ie. 'umm,' 'like,' 'uhh,' etc.)? they're not gonna rush the words out of you or interrupt your speech. They're more than happy to give you all the time in the world to talk, no matter how rambly and long-winded it might seem. They like hearing what you have to say and your thoughts are priceless to them.

If you're neurodivergent (or even just do things that are considered behaviors/actions of neurodivergence), your f/o will never ever judge or shame you. Whether you get overstimulated, you stim a lot, you're not the best with social cues, you're navigating how it feels to unmask, your tone isn't the same as your peers, (etc), they'll completely understand. In fact, they'll do their best to help you feel comfortable enough to be yourself without guilt or shame in their presence. Your f/o will always provide that safe space.

taking a moment to appreciate standoffish f/os that actually have the biggest soft spot for you. and no, im not talking about being mean or anything, just more so maybe nervous or hesitant. wether it be that they aren’t used to love this healthy or just general excitement and the slight awkwardness of doing new things in a relationship such as kissing or holding hands, they tend to be just a bit standoffish but they love you dearly.

you may ask to give them a hug and they just sheepishly turn their head away, trying to seem indifferent as they agree. but when they actually hug you, they can’t get enough, pulling you closer to them and snuggling in your warmth. even if they are a bit nervous, they still love you so much. they just aren’t the best at showing it 🫶

It doesn't matter if it's for some occasion, like you getting sick because of the winter cold, or working yourself really thin the day before, or just because they've gotten up earlier than you and felt like it, they never mind doing something nice for you to just take a bit of weight off your back. Imagine being woken up, feeling them gently shaking you by the shoulder, only for your sleepy grumbles to be met with a soft peck on your nose, which soon is followed by another one, and another.. You are never able to get angry at them, even if you're usually feeling really fussy about getting up early in the morning. :)

When you get up and go to the bathroom to wash up and brush your teeth, be certain that when you return your shared or separate bed will be made neatly, and coming into the kitchen to make yourself something to eat, you would see that everything is already prepped nicely just for you!! The table is already served, with your favorite meal laid out on your plate and a cup of your favorite drink. Even if you headcanon your f/o to not be the best cook in the world, every meal made with love tastes heavenly nonetheless! They'll sit beside you on the dining table, maybe listening to you talk about what you've dreamed about tonight and what your plans for the day are, and if you're not a whole lot talkative in the morning they will tell you something themselves or simply keep you company. With them, you never feel awkward talking about something as mundane as weather outside or just sitting in silence, basking into each other's presence (⁠/⁠^⁠-⁠^⁠(⁠^⁠ ⁠^⁠*⁠)⁠/

They'll trail behind you into your wardrobe too, if you'd let them. You will seek out options of what you'd like to wear for the day from the closet, laying them on the bed, and maybe they'll get really into the role of your personal stylist, tell you what would look the best on you because of the color or pattern. Or perhaps they'd mostly nag you about dressing warmer for the sake of your health and their nerves, and if they're usually the whole rough and tough type of character, they'll get all blushy if you tease them a bit for getting worried about you :3

They'll of course be eager to help you do your hair! Whether you prefer to wear it down styled some way, braiding it, and even if you wish to make something as basic as a ponytail, which doesn't take a lot of labour, they would be happy to just brush your hair, being sooooo very gentle about it, never daring to go as far as making a movement too sharp, scared to hurt you by tugging your hair.

When you're all done, you give them a twirl, showing off. If you would have done as much as looked up into their face in the mirror, you'd see them stare at you gleefully with admiration. It has been a while since you've felt so genuinely full of energy, and it is all thanks to them! ♡♡♡
