Coffee shop or flower shop?

While I love the aesthetic of flower shops and flower language, I feel like coffee shop au’s can get more in depth about character motivations AND it’s more versatile for any fandom!

Au or fixit?

Ughhh I love both but definitely au’s! Put the characters in One Thousand different situations, toss them into the time knife, and the torment nexus while you’re at it

Enemies to lovers or childhood friends?

For the drama, enemies to lovers (though I fear I haven’t been in many fandoms where the characters are truly enemies)

Angst or fluff?

WHUMP! WHUMP! WHUMP! I’ve put my poor blorbos through too much

Modern au or historical au?

I’m afflicted by a wizard’s curse where I cannot fully appreciate ballrooms and letters from the seaside as much as I do modern college au’s and the like

Soulmates or unrequited?

Soulmates by default, as I am weak of heart and unrequited hurts too much.

Break up and make up or proposal and wedding?

For the same reason as the above

Get together or AND established relationship? !!!

i have to be so real. sometimes you have to outright not give a shit what the author thinks. i’m not saying to disregard how a character is portrayed and give into fanon characterisations but sometimes i will see fans be like “(head writer) omggg do you think this character is a good person?” “how would this character react if xyz happened?” as though that’s not a question you can and have to answer for yourself.! any character can contain multitudes and if you keep limiting your perception of them solely on word of god its not fun for the writer or even yourself anymore. THINK FOR YOURSELF. INVENT NEW WAYS TO FUCK YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS OVER

the ask from tellih had me thinking... what are your thoughts on a kid au? i bet steve and adam were really cute as kids and i wonder just how different they were then compared to now

I think that's the kind of thing I'd like other people to think about rather than put my own thoughts on the table ^^

There's a million different ways they could have been as kids, and a million different ways they could have grown to be who they are now. So I don't want to put anything into too heavy a canon :)

I also haven't really thought about it too much! since it's not really relevant to the story I'm trying to tell, I'd think about it if it came up but otherwise I like to prioritize the things I think are important to building my story.
