Leshy died and these guys started to bombard me with 'I love you's'. :""D. Found family in my head. (I will start a new game just to be able to give Leshy and other bishops golden necklace. I can't relive heartbreak every time they die...)

Shamura fell in love with a follower and just at the moment when I'm like 'Oh, hurray! They are together!' they do that.:/ Leshy wouldn't approve.

I came across a follower in the Darkwood whose whole family had been killed by Leshy's followers 'cause they assumed that then he will give them lot's of stuff. The saddest moment for me in the game, well, except for Hemah existing, it’s so painful to look at her...:(

The way you draw Narinder infuriates me. And that isn’t meant as an insult. Every time you draw his smug face it pisses me off so bad, and based on your other posts about him I think you do it on purpose. So I want to tell you that it’s working. He ruins my day every time. And I really love your art style.

Okay you had me in the first half, I was SO sure this wasn't going anywhere pleasant but I started laughing my ass off as soon as I got to the third sentence. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I'M GOING FOR WHEN IT COMES TO NARINDER, just a guy that you want to tie into a pretzel out of anger and throw into a brick wall because you'd do anything to wipe that smug grin off his face. But he just keeps on smiling......because he KNOWS his job as the death god means he's technically too important to be killed off. Bro can get away with aNYTHING and it's the WORST!!

Im on break from drawing for a couple of days so let me share some info about her instead.

Heket's favorite sibling is Shamura and then Leshy. She looks up to Shamura and is protective over Leshy.

When the last of the five brothers and the youngest one was announced, she was over the moon because she wasnt the youngest sibling anymore! Hurray! And then she embraced the older sibling role for Leshy, looking after him, teaching him and protecting him when Narinder bullied him.

Heket loves singing but is not as good at it as her brother Kallamar is. Kallamar is happy to spend time with her to teach her singing but the older brother would frequently get punched when he was being an asshole about it. "Too low pitch, too high pitch, ugh let me show you how it is don- ow!"

She cannot sing anymore.

She also loves cooking! She used to love cooking more than eating when she was a child. Now that she is a king, she hardly cooks.

As a child, she would often provoke Narinder to have a swimming competition with her and/or Kallamar knowing he would always lose because of the diffrence in their species. She would always say things that would strike Narinder's ego to make sure he would jump into the pond and then would laugh at him every time he lost. Making a wet and angry cat chase her while she happly threw insults at him. Leshy would often join Narinder chasing Heket for no reason.

Shamura has always loved seeing these moments, even when they were busy.

Gonna be taking a bit of a break from art and such and so, specifically cotl stuff mainly because i got abunch of wips in the backlog and others stuff to doodle but also i like this little freakshow im making too so have abunch of fun facts about the funny lamb universe i got goin on for now under the cut

⁍ The Lamb would canonically win in a fight against 4 Leshy's or 2 Heket's, but not 3 Shamura's or 2 Kallamar's. ⁍ The Goat literally just walked into the Cult and acted like he already knew everyone. This somehow worked for 3 years. ⁍ I have no idea if Narilamb is canon in this or not, but if it was then it would not end well for anyone ⁍ Plimbo is the best character, this is a fact and you cannot dispute it. I tried designing him like 8? times and I just couldn't get it in a satisfying way. this is because he is without flaw. ⁍ The Lamb was fully aware of the prophecy before the beheading. They were counting on it. There is blood on their hands. ⁍ Sozo is very dead. Whatever's walking around the Cult, that's not Dr. Sozonius. ⁍ Look at this thing I can do ☺ isn't that wild ⁍ It takes place in a permadeath save. This means that the Lamb's delusions of power definitely weren't helped by the fact that they BARELY even knew Narinder, and the fact they killed 5 gods without sleeping. ⁍ Also Lamb killed Narinder lol ⁍ Mystic Seller is named "That Which Takes" ⁍ Leshycat's canon but I'll never design them its just gonna be like in Tom and Jerry where they're just slightly offscreen at all times ⁍ Midas that rat fuck owes me 20$ ⁍ Surprisingly, Heket got the closest to killing The Lamb. She wears this as a badge of honor, or as a means to make fun of the other Bishops. I forget which. ⁍ I might make a fanfic one of these days based on cult of the sham but it'd literally just be an always sunny episode lol ⁍ Webber is literally the exact same as the one from Don't Starve. They had to put him down because he kept placing spider nests all over the Cult, and Pigs kept trying to throw down. ⁍ A little gnome just ran behind you when you weren't looking. ⁍ The Lamb is ambidextrous, this is because I keep forgetting which hand to have them hold stuff with. They also have no idea what this word means. ⁍ The gnome ran behind you again you gotta pay more attention to this stuff ⁍ ☺sorry i didn't mean to do it that time ⁍ Clauneck and Kudaai like switching clothes and acting like eachother to fuck with people, it works every time without fail. ⁍ Aym and Baal are hanging out with Forneus. The Lamb didn't let them do this, they literally just booked it as soon as they got the chance and Forneus totally could beat the shit out of The Lamb. ⁍ help its red now ⁍ nevermind we're good ⁍ Ratau was driven mad by the crown. He's had the knowledge of the gods ripped from his skull and delicately placed onto some psychopathic woolen beast. He's not all there. ⁍ Any time I'm working on COTL stuff I'm usually listening to King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard. To get the general tone I try and set, listen to their album "I'm In Your Mind Fuzz". Good stuff. ⁍ The Industrial Meat Grinder incident was an inside job.

Since the topic of Heket's tail seems to be appearing quite frequently in my and other artist's ask boxes, here's what I have to say.

This is your reminder that it is not okay to comment on people's artistic choices like that.

Art is art, and it begins in the artist.

Art exists to express its creator. It's to put their ideas, their love and passion towards a character or a franchise as a whole into something that others can see (listen to, read, touch, I'm not speaking just about paintings).

Art is a shared experience. It is to be observed.

And it is not an artist's job to try and fit their work into every frame that some people on the internet may have created for themselves.

Heket is not a frog. She may appear so, but her existence in a regural frog's body had ended very long time ago.

She's a goddess. A fallen and defeated one, at last, but the divine essence has intervened with her existence so much that it can't ever be taken away from her.

Frogs aren't fifteen-ish times the lamb's height. They don't have additional sets of eyes and the definitely do not have some weird crosses and tower looking like things sticking out their head. Oh, right, and they don't have tails too.

Cult of the lamb is a fantastic fictional world, with magic, relics, gods and ???. Narinder used to possess an ability to rip his face open and detach his eyeballs from their sockets to have a fight with lamb.

I don't see any good reason why in given circumstances Heket's current body can't have a tail. She still has other eyes and crosses, even though I don't include the latter in my art.

Once again, art is art and my design is my design. I've made that decision and I'm well aware that it may not be accurate to real life biology. Question awaits, why in the world should it?

I used to grow toadpoles into frogs in an aquarium a while ago. I've watched them go through every stage of development, I've seen them change and transform, and it isn't a momentary process. The tail doesn't suddenly fall off. The toadpoles first grow their back legs, then front ones, and by the time the latter are fully formed, they still have their tail for about a day or two. So, here's your biological explanation: her current body is very, very young.

I chose to include the tail in the design as a metaphor of bishop's rebirth. Her mind may be old, but right now she's like a child in a world that is so new and unfamiliar to her. She has to go through everything that all young people have to.

This post might seem just out of place, as if I'm looking too much into a simple comment like that one. But I've seen just one too many artists bullied into thinking that their ideas or choices aren't valid and do not matter. They were forced to change their beautiful works because someone else had told them to.

So let me tell you something instead.

You don't have to change your art. You can make whatever artistic choices you want, and they are valid, and they are beautiful, because they are yours.

We wouldn't have a quarter of the diversity and creativity in art if a long time ago one artist their contemporaries claimed to be weird and incorrect submitted to them and returned to only drawing what they thought were allowed.

Frames are to be broken.

Leshy would be a well balanced father, he knows when to treat you sweetly and he knows when you need to be scolded. For me Leshy is one of the most leisurely patrons, so you can have plenty of free time to do any kind of parent and child activity.

I really believe that Leshy would teach you how to make wooden figures. Just you, his dear child, and him, making some wooden figures together. Did you cut yourself with the knife? Of course, don't worry, Leshy will have his full attention for you and take care of your cut. Leshy isn't desperate with certain injuries of yours, of course he's worried, but he knows you're going to be fine.

Leshy will have a hard time making food for you... Seeing how he's not very fond of cooking. Having some cookbooks would be nice right now...

Leshy tends to sleep hugging you, he wants to make sure you're warm, the woods usually tend to be cold, and he would hate to see his dear child have to suffer from a cold nose and sneezing.

Leshy will teach you how to hunt, write, read, how to skin animals without getting blood on you, etc. Basics for you to survive in the forest if at some point you want to live alone.

Also, Leshy tells you bedtime stories! He was hesitant at first, but seeing how insistent you were, he couldn't say 'no' to your lovely smile.

I bet Grimora has dreamed/wanted at some point in her life to have a child, so trust me, you are a blessing in her life!

Grimora showers you with verbal support. You did a drawing of her? "Why, isn't this splendid my child! I'm truly proud of you Y/N. Keep drawing and I bet you'll be even better than uncle Magnificus!". You finish the duties Grimora sent you to do? "Good job Y/N! I know that I could always trust you." Or anything else that you made a effort? "Magnificent Y/N! I'm so happy to hear this news!"

She doesn't spoil you, but Grimora clearly gives the attention every child needs to you and you alone. Grimora doesn't just want to be your mother, she wants to be your friend.

Grimora loves to teach you things, even the simplest things, like sewing or how to make tea. And after that the two of you try to sew something together while she listens to you talk about your day.

Magnificus being a father figure is similar to Leshy, but more protective. Leshy trusts you and knows you can get by with his learnings, while Magnificus is extremely protective of you.

He always asks where you're going and who your new friends are. Don't get him wrong, Magnificus its just worried and care about you, both your physical and mental health. He wants to make it more than clear that you are not just anyone, but the child of Magnificus. Perhaps this sudden fame and a lot of people treating you like royalty might irritate you slightly, so it would be best to talk to Magnificus about the situation if that's what bothers you, so he can make an attempt to sort things out.

I don't think Magnificus is one of the best fathers, so he puts a lot of expectations on you as his child, but over time he realizes that you are not a saint and sometimes you just don't have the physical/mental strength to do certain things , he tries to lighten the weight of expectations and responsibilities on you while you're still just a kid, you deserve to be free :]

And like Grimora, Magnificus likes to shower you with verbal support, always telling you he's proud of you for doing your chores. Sometimes, he even gives you gifts that he knows you like!

Magnificus is also a great listener. The moment between the two of you while Magnificus paints a picture and you talk endlessly about your interests is pleasant for him. Speaking of painting, you're the first person he shows the paintings he's done!

Oof, P03 is a tough one.

P03 never planned or was interested in having a child, and yet, here you are.

P03 is horrible at showing the affection they have for someone. The easiest type of affection for P03 to express affection is simply helping you with whatever difficulties you are having.

They help you pick up things you can't reach for your size, helps you with tasks you're having and listens to you talk about the horrible day you had (with a bonus of them calling whoever bothered you an asshole. And having something against that person after that day).

And of course P03 will teach you strategies and how to play cards, saying that "I don't want to suffer the shame of having a horrible player as a child", but in fact he meant "Omfg I don't want anyone calling my kid a loser I want them to be the best so they can be proud of themselfand not have their mental health destroyed by idiots"

And when P03 praises a drawing you made for it or completed a task or won a card battle, it just says "Good job Y/N", with a lil' pat pat in your head. But he SWEARS he's been so positively affected by the things you've done, he just has a big problem expressing it. So please, do tell him if you don't feel appreciated enough, and P03 will make an attempt to show his true feeling more.

i've been sitting on them bc i wasnt entirely sure about how everyone felt about each other, and while i still am not I feel like everyone likes each other at least!!!

i also wanted to draw people's lambs reliving a bunch of my childhood memories, but i felt the idea wouldn't be accepted because i don't know how many people would related to em. these sketches are new since all i had was a jpeg of thumbnails, but they are @paintpaintpaintman , @spiderin-space , and my lambs!! the first pic is just them enjoying some honeysuckles, trying to buy some candy at the weekend market, and visiting kids in better looking neighborhoods than they lived in AHHSASHHSA i dont think i care to complete this but it is really fun drawing the lambs being lambs.

The shitten dancing inside my head because I am dying to make a Happy Family AU where everyone has a normal life and in the middle there is kids shenanigans (kind of like Yotsubato, I like SOLs) Facts about this kid's AU: -His name is Agnes, he is 5 years old and a MENACE. -His friends are Aym and Baal (they are both 11 in this AU and playmates at the park), Ratau (who babysits whenever he can), He loves Shamura and Leshy (because they teach him fun things, Leshy is banned from babysitting tho), also the crown is there and they get along pretty well. -Monch is his official babysitter. -Lamb works with Leshy at a paper store as a manager, they manage Leshy, so everyday is interesting. -Leshy is a Vtuber in his spare time, is married to Yellow Cat (his name is Fiodor) -Heket is a writer, she writes cookbooks and does restaurant reviews. -Kallamar works as a Health teacher at a middle school. -Shamura is a therapist, and is often taking care of him if nobody else is available. -Narinder works at an ice cream parlor and takes care of cooking and the house. He is in a band with his highschool friends, who play the weekends (he is relatively young as they had their kid in their twenties) -Ratau used to be a popular B rate actor in his young years. I am still drawing the other AU I have but it takes me long to draw every chapter. Still I love this little guy.

Hello! How do you characterise your Lamb? What is the AU that has two Lambs here? One seems to have a history with Heket. What is your favorite weapon and curse and relic? Who is your favourite NPC? Drink water and eat your vegetables daily.

This took me a while to answer because I was gonna draw art for it but I felt bad for making you wait after begging for asks so I'm answering anyway.

The Lamb is my au is just a tired little creature they go by both They/them and He/him, mostly they/them though. They only really give a shit about their Mom, Uncle (Jay), and their grandpa Ratau. Lamb is literally their name. Like, that's their full name. But, Marrei calls them Lamby sometimes. They're always tired and sort of stoic, they get annoyed easily, and are full of teens angst despite being forever eighteen. They're SOOOOO a Mama's Boy it's a chronic condition actually. They love naps and slaughtering those against them, also homemade food and sewing. They like to garden, and cook but aren't good at either.

If you're talking about my drawing of my Lamb meeting canon lamb it's because it was just a "how would those two react upon seeing each other" kind of scenario, but if you're referring to the drawings of Marrei (his mother) she was presumed dead thousands of years ago by Leshy, Kallamar, and Shamura because that's what Heket told them so that's why she's still around. When they executed Lamb they truly figured they had the last lamb.

She does have a history with Heket as she used to be her consort and is still devoted to her after all these years despite her sadness about their fallout. Marrei is the only one allowed to worship the Old Faith in the cult because Lamb can't find it in them to get mad with their mother.

I think my favorite weapon is the poison sword but the godly version and I despise the axe. I'm a "need for speed" kind of person. It's not the dagger because the strong attack is horrendous when trying to break shields.

Curses I think is the four tentacles in each direction, relic is the one where it strikes lightning on a random enemy. It helped me kill Kallamar and my wife Heket.

Ratau is pretty high for NPC but if Heket counts I choose her every time, but I assumed you mean the friendly ones. I like the clothing lady she's fun, but still. Ratau is my little man. I love rats a lot. I've had three. I also am interested in Aym and Baal, I have Baal in my cult rn and he's so cute. I fw the fox so hard he's so mysterious I think he'd be my favorite IF HE DIDNT EAT MY GRANDPA!

Day 1: Inscryption Leszy

Fun fact, my roommate and I have a gecko named Leszy, named for the Inscryption character Leshy (but the Polish spelling is cooler).

Okay so- back in... 2014? 2015? I drew a finished piece in ink every single day for 200 days straight. I think its about time I attempt that again but aim for a full year.

This project is meant to just be fun but help me improve. Originally I had to only use black ink and I had to fill a two page spread, but I don't have that kind of time anymore xD So! These can be rough or finished, realistic or cartoonish. I also am taking the black ink only, as I would love to play more with paint and colored pencil~

Also I will be allowing myself more break days. Easy small doodles, minimalistic, or even rough sketches. There may be lots of eyes and slugcats lol.

Playing through Inscryption again and I've decided that my goal should be to go about things as slowly as possible, since I'm in no rush to beat the game a third time (unlike Luke Carder, apparently.) Turns out there are a few things to see going through like that.

PO3 gets annoyed if you don't look in the rulebook as soon as he brings it up. He'll mention it in varying degrees of "please just go and look up the Wing Clipper sigil, god" every time you draw him. I don't think he ever stops until you do—I ended up caving so I could pick up the squirrel topper.

Speaking of, you can absolutely meet the Woodcarver before you find the squirrel topper. I always kind of just assumed she only showed up afterwards. Though I wouldn't recommend waiting on the topper—you won't get to use it until you meet the Woodcarver again.

If you beat Leshy before taking his film roll, you get a little card with a first place ribbon and the name you give him pinned to the door. Every time you beat him you can get another one. I wonder what the limit is...

On the subject of people getting annoyed at the gameplay? Luke is mostly silent for Act I, but after beating Leshy, he gets both talkative and clearly tired of going through the game again.

Apparently the Moon is not immune to Touch of Death in Act I. I could have sworn it was, but the stone sigil doesn't show up anywhere (even on actual boulders!) despite being in the rulebook.

I still haven't figured out what's up with the painting, and not for lack of trying. It haunts me. It's probably the one place I'd refuse to look up anything for, just because it seems so doable! But it isn't!
