Hey author, how are you? I hope your exams went well âșïžđ! I wanted to ask you who is your favorite character in House of the dragon? I can't quite decide. I love Daemon and Rhaenyra. But then there are also viserys and the sweet Luce (aka. Sweet boy) so I wanted to ask who your favorite character in House of the dragon is. What would also interest me is: if you could choose your parents in House of the dragon, who would it be? I would choose Daemon and Rhaenyra directly, I just love them, and I would have cool brothers, half brothers and half sisters....
I tried to send it to you yesterday, but I wasn't sure if it worked because the app crashed the whole time. So if you've already received this from me, I'm sorry
Heyyyy, absolutely love your asks. And you never need to apologize, love, it's all good đđ
My exams went lol. We don't talk about how they went, they just went đđ. Your exams were in May, right? Best of luck bestie, I hope they go well!!
Hmm, my fav character from House of the Dragon. I find all the characters so incredibly complex and layered that I actually love them all so much. I think my all-time favourite is definitely Rhaenyra. She is just so fascinating and she's been through so much and I just adore her with all my heart. Like I'm aware she's not perfect and that she does questionable things in both the books and show but I just love her so much lol. I support women's rights, but most of all I support women's wrongs, and Imma support ALL that woman's wrongs đ€đ€
I also find Alicent so fascinating. Young show Alicent is so young and she goes through so so much and my heart aches for her, and even though I don't love all the choices adult Alicent makes, I can't hate her either because she is just a product of her environment and an accumulation of her tragic experiences. It makes sense for her to be the way she is and honestly, I can understand her resentment for Rhaenyra. I mean if I went through what she did, and then I see someone I grew up with get to do whatever she wants without consequences while I have to put up with my shitty 100+ yr old rotting husband while she has like 2 of the hottest dudes in the kingdom, I'd be pretty jealous and resentful too. So yea I just find her so fascinating and I love doing like character analyses on her.
Honourable mentions go to Harwin, we love a king who supports his princess without wanting anything for it. The parallels he draws with Ser Criston Cole (I rlly hate him lol) are so immaculate. Crispy Cole has a huge hissy fit when Rhaenyra doesn't drop the crown and goes to sell oranges with him or something, while Harwin is perfectly content being her side piece. But like on a serious note, his love for Rhaenyra is enough for him and he doesn't need to be formally acknowledged as his boys' father or Rhaenyra's baby daddy. He is just content with the little pieces of her that he gets to have and I think its so tragically beautiful. Also Daemon, my fav war criminal 𫶠I know he's done atrocious things, and he will continue to do so and I will not defend him saying that he didn't do anything wrong lol. I just vibe with him cuz he's incredibly loyal to his family and we love a family man devoted to his wife (I pretend the choking scene did not happen, I'm delulu like that đ€Ą). Also love Rhaenyra's kiddos. They're so wholesome and sweet. Sweet sweet Luke and responsible Jace. I have so much to say about them oh gosh I've rambled here enough, you asked me my fav character and I went on like 3 different tangents on all my fav characters. But yea, every single one of these characters have such a special place in my heart, i love them all for various reasons, tea black and green both (I fkn hate Otto and Crisoy Cole tho).
Also omg parents, I want Daemon and Rhaenyra tooo for sure. First of all so I can have Jace, Luke, and Joffrey as my brothers cuz that would be soo nice but also can you imagine having Daemon targaryen as your fkn dad. Gosh the power you would hold. I wanna be Daemon and Rhaenyra's babygirl đđ And that entire family unit is so cool, all their kids/half-kids/step-kids are so cool and it would be amazing to be part of that family. Also i think they're a relatively happy family (until the war lol). Like I def wouldn't wanna be Alicent+Viserys's kid lol. Not because I have anything against them (I have issues with Vizzy T but thats a matter for another time), but they're just so dysfunctional lol. That's mommy issues + daddy issues + all sorts of issues waiting to happen lmfao.
Anyways thank you so much for your ask, feel free to send in more, I love rambling about my fav characters and I'd love to hear more from you too. Why do you like your favourite characters? Also I am currently working on your Daeron request so expect that to be out sometime in the next 2 weeks. I started a new job so it got kinda busy rip.
Cheers love đ«¶

so for the part two i love the idea of bringing the wife because id love to see how you will write that! and maybe they'll proceed to be in a poly relationship or idk. It's up to you tho! I'm looking forward to what you will come up for part two!
c// fem!reader, open relationship, gxg, mentions of polyamory, threesome, oral (f and m receiving), squirting, unprotected sex
part 2 of this, so please read that so you know what's going on!
you wake up to a text from the one and only jung wooyoung
you groan and bring yourself to read it, not wanting to remind yourself of last night's events
"please let me explain"
"can i come over today?"
"it isn't what you think"
"i really didn't mean to hurt you y/n."
sighing, you decide to see what he has to say
you finally reply to the text after you get through your morning routine and eat breakfast
"i'm free right now. come over if you want."
he sees it straight away
and soon enough there's a knock on the door
you open it and there he is
you don't know if you're imagining the sadness there
"hey." he gives you a small smile
it still gives you butterflies-
you settle comfortably on the sofa
"my wife and i are in an open marriage"
it's not what you expected him to say at all
the concept is a bit foreign to you
so your initial reaction is confusion
"it means we can have sex with other people-"
"i know what it means woo." you roll your eyes, still a little bit mad at him
"what about your kids?" you ask
"they're children, obviously they don't know about how their mum and dad's relationship works. but we love each other and decided to settle. that includes having kids."
it makes more sense to you now
"i see." you mumble.
"so are we good then?"
"i just wish you had told me before rather than springing it on me after taking my virginity and making me feel guilty." you say.
"you're right, i'm sorry for that." he says
you can't be mad at him for any longer with the way his eyes are all sad
"how about i make it up to you?"
you raise a brow
"how would you do that?"
"i'll give you a proper first time. even better than last night."
you choke on your spit
"it's okay if you don't want to." he says
you forget how casual people can be about sex sometimes
but you have to admit, you'd love to feel wooyoung's cock inside you again
it was literally one of the best things you had ever felt
"and if you wanted to, we could include a third?"
it confuses you
"a third?"
"my wife likes pretty girls like you."
if only you had a dollar for everytime wooyoung shocked you in this conversation
"think about it, okay? there's no rush."
he kisses your forehead before walking off with a smirk
your heart is pounding
surely you wouldnât have sex with a mother and father
and at the same time as well
the decision seems pretty easy
but something inside you wants to see what itâll be like
two people playing with you at the same time-
their hands all over you
wooyoung filling you up while his wife watches, or vice versa-
oh, youâre wet
frustrated at your inner thoughts, you decide to rub one out
teasing your clit, playing with your entrance imagining itâs wooyoung or his wife
you donât know what she looks like so in your head sheâs just a faceless woman
when youâre done, you text him
âletâs do itïżœïżœÂ
you organize a date and time when their kids are out for their karate classes
that gave you two hours
you come over, extremely nervous, and knock on their door
youâre wearing an outfit thatâs easy to take off - a hoodie with nothing underneath and matching sweatpants
if wooyoung is the most beautiful man youâve ever seen, then the woman who opens the door is the most beautiful woman youâve ever seen
power couple, you think
âhi, you must be y/n.â she smiles. âwow, youâre even prettier than woo described.âÂ
youâre absolutely done for
âth-thank you.â you say shyly. âyouâre even prettier than i imagined.â
she smiles too and youâre both falling into easy conversation
soon enough wooyoung walks in with no shirt on, and you canât help but gawk
âgood to see you too y/nâ. he giggles
and he goes right at it, kissing you and groping your thighs
he definitely has a thing for thighs and ass
âletâs at least get to the bedroom.â his wife tuts
when you get there heâs all over both of you
you can tell heâs been looking forward to this
he gives you neck kisses while playing with his wifeâs chest
and the sound of both of you whining/moaning is the prettiest thing ever
it gets wooyoung fully hard
soon heâs taking off his wifeâs bottoms and going straight to licking right up her core
âwatch and learn, y/nâ he winks
you pay attention to how he focuses on her clit
how he uses a finger to play with her entrance
it earns the prettiest moans from her, which makes you even wetter
heâs sucking her clit, slowly easing a finger into her entrance
âw-woo, iâm gonna-â she moans
and he pulls away
âbe a good girl and finish her off for me, y/nâ he smiles, his lips glistening with her juices
youâre dripping at this point
but you had never eaten a girl out before
she notices your hesitance and nervousness
âitâs okay baby, iâll guide youâ she smiles
you mirror wooyoungâs actions, licking a stripe up her vulva
it pulls a loud whine from her, and sheâs grinding up against your tongue
she holds the back of your head, gently guiding you like she said
you leave feathery kisses and licks on her clit
you must be doing a good job because she quickly becomes a shaking mess
âo-oh god, y/n iâm-âÂ
what you donât expect is for her juices to squirt all over your tongue
âwow.â wooyoung says, breathless. âshe hardly ever does that.âÂ
you see that heâs been jerking off this whole time
âhow about we treat wooyoungie for being so patient?âÂ
she gestures for you to follow her lead as she leans forward and takes his tip into her mouth
then she starts kitten licking the length of his cock
you join her, and you both suck his cock together c:
things to do w your bestie amirite
heâs bucking his hips forward while you both tongue the sides of his cock
âs-stop, i wanna cum inside either one of youâ he stutters
ây/nâs been such a good girl for us, you should make her cumâ his wife says
he nods, getting himself ready and putting on a condom
he makes you get on all fours, lifting your hips up
his wife positions herself in front of you, legs spread
you whine with each inch wooyoung slides into you
you flush at how his wife can see every single expression you make like this
and at the same time you have a full view of her pussy, how wet she is and every single needy twitch of it
she starts touching herself, playing with her entrance, and you swear itâs the hottest thing youâve ever seen
needily, you lift a hand up, going to touch her core
âah-ah, hands to yourself y/n. pay attention to how good wooyoungieâs making you feel.â she tuts
his pace increases, and heâs going even harder and deeper than the first time you fuck
he hits that spot every single time, making you see stars
you can smell wooyoungâs wifeâs arousal, and it gets you even closer to your edge
âoh my god-â you cut yourself with a cry, clenching around wooyoung as your orgasm hits you harder than the ones he had given you before
his wife cums at the same time, riding out her high as she fills herself up with her fingers
you all take a moment to catch your breath, sharing kisses here and there
âthat was really hot. we should do it more often.â wooyoung grins.

Hello!! ^_^ I hope you donât mind me requesting! I was wondering, how would the Azuchi warlords react to Reader defending her best friend who is being cheated on? Like basically the Reader literally FIGHTS the cheater and the girl he was cheating on the best friend with tries to step in, but Reader fights her too? Iâm sorry if this is a bit much, I just love your headcanons and am curious to see how you imagine this xD Thank you! đđ
I would definitely throw hands with someone cheating on my best friends. For each of these scenarios the other girl, who was also their friend, knows that the man was dating the readerâs best friend. I always feel bad when the other girl gets beat up on if she didnât know anything either. Iâve been writing a lot of feisty mc-based content lately and Iâm here for it lol XD
Nobunaga-Nobunaga noticed you STOMP in your shared tenshu, putting on your sturdy shoes, and gruffly saying âIâll be back late.â âWhat is the problem, fireball?â âMy best friendâs boyfriend decided to add another woman into his life, so Iâm going to help her subtract a kneecap from his life.â Â Nobunaga gives an amused smile to your determination, deciding to give you a bamboo sword and escort you so you or your best friend donât get into legal trouble. Your best friend shows up and tells you where her ex and ex friend are. You give a swift kick through the door, breaking it. âOh it seems that you forgot to invite us to the dinner date. Now apologize to my bestie OR ELSE.â Enraged, the man stomps towards you to try to shove you out, but you sweep the bamboo sword directly to his knee, forcing him to kneel. âAPOLOGIZE.â The other girl had the audacity to step in, saying âHe did nothing wrong! He loves me more than her.â You see RED after that, stomping to her and smacking her, âand how could YOU do this to your friend? You are utter scum! APOLOGIZEâ *smacks her on leg to put her on her knees*. As the man got up, ready to try to restrain you, Nobunaga decided to make his presence known. âEverybody settle down. We are going to settle this in a civilized manner. I had a talk with (best friend) and totaled up the damage you need to repay to her. Sheâs had to call off work several days to care for you when you got sick, so you shall repay her with those lost wages.â âI canât pay that back right now!â âThen you must get working.â Nobunga gave a haughty smirk, setting the fear of god in the manâs soul before he reluctantly agrees. After making sure your friend got home safely and Nobunaga and you walked home, Nobunaga praised you for your fiery attitude and how it made his heart ignite. (lets say you two might get heated in another way when you get home).
Hideyoshi- He went into town looking for you after getting off his shift early, wanting to see if he could help you with shopping. However, he witnessed you consoling your best friend at the tea shop. âWhere is he? Weâre going to settle this and make sure he gets the point.â You stand up, slamming your hands on the table, eyes filled with rage. Hideyoshi walked over, asking what is going on. After you explained that you were going to kick the cheaterâs ass and make him apologize, Hide was alarmed cuz he did NOT want you to get into an fight and get hurt. âI agree what he did was awful but do you think there is another way that wonât result in a physical fight?â âNo.â He sighed, but little did he know that the cheater and his other lady, who was a friend of you and your bestie, were walking towards the tea shop. As soon as you noticed, you paced on over, Hideyoshi going after you to make sure you donât get hurt. âOh so youâre okay to cheat in broad daylight? Then you should be okay with getting your arm dislocated in broad daylight.â You quickly pulled his arm out of socket, causing him to shout. âHey youâre taking this too far!â the other woman said. âOh I think you took things too far when you slept with your friendâs man.â The woman tried shoving you, you grabbed her wrists and pulled her in to ram your head into hers, knocking her to the ground.â The man rose up and grabbed his knife to try to get at you, but Hideyoshi swiftly kneed him in the gut, a glare in his eyes. âBetraying the trust of your woman is despicable, but you trying to lay a hand on (reader) is the worst thing you couldâve done. You will be charged for attempted assault with a weapon on an unarmed woman.â After the altercation and making sure your best friend is okay, Hideyoshi let out a weary sigh. âNever do that again.â âI will stop if men stop cheating. Iâm glad Iâll never have to beat you up.â *cue Hide blush cuz you trust him that much*
Ieyasu- Ieyasu knew you were HEATED that your friendâs man was a two timing cheater, but he didnât know you had malicious rage pent up. As you and Ieyasu went into the neighborhood to deliver medication, you bump into the cheater and the former friend. âOh its you, (reader). What are you doing here?â he asked snidely. âOh Iâm here to deliver cream to help with your guysâ herpes. They say filthy cheaters get the worst genital warts.â Ieyasu is internally proud of your sass. âTch stop playing as your friendâs bodyguard. Sheâs not worth it.â That was met with a swift punch to the jugular. âHey back off!â the other lady stepped in, shoving you back, which was met with a jab to the nose. âI think you made your point. Lets move on.â Satisfied, you started walking away until the cheater got up, âYou bit-â, Ieyasu covered his mouth, a cold glare daring him to continue, which led to the cheater and woman cowering away. âThanks for stepping in. I still wish they got more punishment.â âI may have thrown a laxative pill in his mouth when I covered his mouth. By accident.â Your devious smile shined, âDid I ever tell you I love you.â âSh-shut up, we have deliveries to make.â
Masamune- Eating sweet buns at the tea shop, you both were on a date when you noticed your best friendâs man with your other friend. Observing suspiciously, you saw them giggling and then they kissed. It was CLEAR what was going on and you were ready to expose his ass. âYou look like a cat ready to pounce? What do you see?â âI found a tomcat sneaking around and it looks like this tomcat needs to get neutered.â You walked up to their table as they were giggling. âHaha! Whatâs so funny guys?â âHey how about you mind your own business. Nobodyâs gotta get hurt in this if you pretend you didnât see anything.â âIf you have the audacity to cheat where the whole world can see, then let the world see me squash your manhood.â You stomped right on his man bits. As he was cowering, Masamune was HOWLING with laughter, enjoying every moment of his kitten unleashing her rage. âYou just have to take everything too far, huh?â the other girl piped up. âNot as far as you did in the betraying your best friend department.â You stomped on her hand, causing her to shriek. âThat was for (best friend).â As you straightened yourself to walk away, you threatened them to stay away from your best friend or else theyâd get more damage. Masamune offered them a toothy grin. As you guys walked away, he was laughing and praising you, thinking that was the coolest and hottest thing heâs seen you do.
Mitsuhide- You knew heâd point out all of the flaws of your plan if you brought up your rage and determination to get back at your best friendâs cheating boyfriend, but little did you know he already knew and was one step ahead of you. When you entered where the cheater worked, Mitsuhide was already waiting outside the place. Before you could walk away, he stopped you. âI know what youâre going to say, Mitsuhide but-â âYou think Iâm here to stop you? Heavenâs no. Little innocent me is just going to give an âhonestâ testimony in case he tries to press charges.â You smiled at him before entering the shop, where only he and the other woman were there, giggling. âWow a lot of the stuff here is cheap, just like you two.â âI think I upgraded. If you were dating (best friend) you wouldâve left he-â before he could finish, you grabbed a metal bar and swung it right at his ribs, knocking the air out of him. âDonât even think about it, you backstabberâ you grabbed the other womanâs arm before she could take a swing at you, hitting her with the bar, making her fall down. As the man was still heaving, Mitsuhide all of the sudden appeared in front of him. âOh my what is going on? You two are gaining up on an innocent woman?â âWhat? No! She attacked us! She has a weapon, we donât!â âOh really, then why do you have a dagger in your hand?â âI donât have a-â he looked down at the store dagger Mitsuhide planted in his hand while he was on the ground. âAssaulting a customer, especially after being charged twice in your record for aggravated assault? This isnât going to look good on your record. Neither for you or your accomplice.â As you and Mitsuhide began walking away, the man shouted âYou deceivers!â âTakes one to know one, dick nips. Unless you want to be thrown in prison, we can let this all slide as long as you never disturb my best friend. Got that?â He reluctantly nodded his head. Mitsuhide was very impressed his little mouse could be a devious genius. Wants to tag team for revenge schemes and make out with you more than before.
Mitsunari- You were walking with Mitsunari at the market when your best friend comes running to you crying. She explains that she saw her man making out with one of her other friends in an alleyway, fleeing the scene before they saw her. You wanted to stomp on them SO BAD, so you sat down your favorite strategist and brainstormed where a secret couple would hide out at and surprise them. He deduced the ideal location, which was on the outskirts of town where few frequented. When you saw the cheater, you took off your sandal and chucked it with all your might, hitting him on the back of the head and making him see stars. âHey back off my man!â the other woman tried stepping in until you took off your other sandal âDonât worry this sandal has your name on it too.â, chucking it right at her face. âWhat the hell are you thinking?â the man got up. âIâm thinking how people shouldnât get away with cheating on their partner and betraying their friend without a price. The price being a beatdown.â Mitsunari just stood there smiling, radiating sunshine and admiration for how cool and brave you were being. You grabbed the manâs kimono, drawing him forward and kneeing him in the tummy, causing him to hunch over in pain. âNext time you hurt my best friend, youâre injuries will be more permanent.â As you walked away, the man tried grabbing your sleeve, but Mitsunari swiftly came in, bending his wrist backwards. âMy apologies but if you try touching lady (y/n), you will face consequencesâ, Mitsunari gave a chilling smile before letting go, grabbing your hand and walking away to find some good books in town with you.

Bestie that recoupling went how I wanted it to! Goodbye Isaiah! Good riddance!! See ya! Iâm so happy that cash picked korey honestly and Aimee didnât pick Isaiah bc he doesnât deserve either of those girls.
Can we talk about florita? Like girl you cannot be having second thoughts when you friendzoned korey and picked Jeremy at the recoupling. Honestly she canât just drag it out bc if she keeps doing that sheâs gonna lose both boys. Like youâve made your bed now all you can do is lay in it. Korey deserves so much better than what sheâs giving him.
Okay also I say this with a little hesitancy but Olivia and javonny are cute. I still think that Olivia isnât as into javonny as he is with her and that sheâs just keeping him until she finds someone more her type but⊠yeah that trip to the grocery store was cute. When will I find my own javonny? And the fact that cinco said hell no Olivia canât cook? That was so funny.
Wes and Aimee for the win!! I am so happy that she picked him. I really hope that she opens up to him and gives him a genuine chance. Forget about Jeremy honey he doesnât deserve you! God I really hope that Wes and Aimee work out. Can you imagine if they did? Talk about a power couple. The two hottest people in the villa coupled up? Love that for them.
And the vote tomorrow?? Who are you gonna vote for? If itâs a vote for fave couple I think Iâll vote for Wes and Aimee or cash and korey (but probably not). I think that Shannon and josh and kyra and will are obviously good couples but I feel like everyone is gonna vote for them. Same thing with cash and korey too like theyâre fan faves so I think Iâll vote for Aimee and Wes. But if itâs a vote for least favorite couple Iâd probably vote for Jeremy and florita or maybe cinco and Trina. I like cinco but Trina is not my favorite. Honestly Iâm just happy that Isaiah is gone lol. I feel like not much happened in this episode for me to talk about. -E
OKAY OKAY I JUST FINISHED IT IM SO GLAAAAD ISAIAH LEFT LMAO HE BUGGED ME SO BAD. I feel like he's super into himself. Goodbye! Jeremy next please!
Florita is driving me craaaaazy dude. Like I know it's hard, and I can't even imagine how she's feeling cause she has been kinda forced to make a decision but like COME ONNNN. She is stringing them both along and loving it.
STOP I AGREE I HATE HOW MUCH OLIVIA AND JAVONNY ARE GROWING ON ME KFDL;ASFJ HE'S SO INTO HER AND ITS REALLY CUTE like he's really helping her to open up and we love to see it. Their grocery store trip was so cute :(
Dude I can't tell you how STOKED I am for Aimee and Wes! Like Wes is the WHOLE package and has the face of a GOD. He's a charmer, but there's a difference between him and say, Isaiah. Wes is confident in himself, he knows what he wants and he knows what he has to offer, whereas Isaiah is pretty and thinks any girl will fall for him if he bats his lashes and says the right words. Does that make sense? Do I sound crazy? Idk but anyway AIMEE DESERVES THIS! I just know she is going to be WINED AND DINED BY OUR BOY WES AND HE IS GOING TO TREAT HER RIGHT. "Spoken like a true woman" headass like okay then kiss her about it!!! GOD I LOVE THEM fksdf;l
Favorite couple... I agree with you like I want to vote Will and Kyra because they're my favorite (speaking of... their conversation about lingerie was so fucking cute please I'm obsessed with them) but I do think that everyone's gonna vote them so I'll probably do Aimee and Wes. But if it's least favorite.... shit I'll probably do Jeremy and Florita. Trina still bugs me but I feel like now that she has her man she's chilled the fuck out. I just want Jeremy gone more than anything lmao and at this point Florita can have him.
WAIT something I've been meaning to ask! Remember the night of the 90s party when Wes and Slade came in? Remember the game they were playing and Shannon said she heard that one of the islanders is a virgin? WHO DO WE THINK IT ISSSSS I'VE BEEN TRYING SO HARD TO FIGURE IT OUT LMAO At first I thought maybe Kyra but then I remembered in like episode two when she said she had a really high sex drive. (That was her wasn't it?) But like... maybe Will? Idk WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS

FONDUE FOR TWO // ELECTION WEEK    ‷ VICE PRESIDENT CANDIDATES RECAPÂ
Aaaaaaaand we're back again with part deux of Fondue For Two Election Edition. This time we've got the line up of Vice President candidates, looking cute very serious and ON TIME. Totally appreciated.Â
The fondue is reheating so you're going to want to give it a minute and careful, there's some sneaky pepper jack in there, we're keeping things spicy today. Just like with the peeps who were running for Pres, lets do a quick intro from everyone and tell us why you've decided to run..
RIE: Well, yes! Hi! I'm Rie Anderson. I'm running because I believe I could do a great job in helping students communicate their needs to the people running the Academy. I'm a political scientist and one thing that I've learned is how important listening and being transparent is. And I believe we can make this place even better with the students' input. We are the ones taking the classes and putting the acquired knowledge to use. Then, as Vice President, I'm going to work together with our President, to make sure we, as students, are always heard.
BRITT: A cutie with some solid declarations, we totally love to see it! Next on the panel...
EMERSON: Hello all, my name is Emerson Patterson Fabray and Iâll be running for vice president. I believe those who are running for president are strong contenders but theyâll need another voice to help them reach where they want to go, someone to bounce ideas off of, and ultimately share leadership and school decisions with, and I personally believe Iâm the woman for that job
BRITT: Excellent. Totally makes sense! And lastly,..
NORA: My name is Nora Cricket Toussaint and... Iâm running on an education based platform but these women beside me are very well spoken so---
BRITT: SO SUPER HOT! You are absolutely right Cricket! You may all know her as Cricket or as the cutest of her partners long list of girlfriends, Nora Toussaint everyone! Totally VALID and third VP candidate in our line up!
-
Now... lets get to the real stuff. Rapid fire questions! Emerson, youâre up first!
Q&A W/ EMERSON FABRAY -Â
B:Â The hottest dish of the day and personally the most burningest question on my mind just happens to also potentially be some family drama... it looks as though you are running alongside Mateo Weston rather than your own namesake, do you expect there to be BAD BLOOD circa 2015 terrible carbon copy of an already terrible black and white movie adaptation of Sin City, no matter the election outcome?
E: No Quinn and I are adults and my views align more with Mateoâs. There should be a system in place that what happened with the interim deans never happens again, equality in both our education and simply in our campus life, regardless of legacy status or not, is the most important thing and  not to mention of course order is needed. A lack of proper structure can wreak havoc, but too much structure to the point corporal punishments willy nilly, in public no less, red robes to mark those who have decided to push back against a broken system? Is simply insanity, and also not conducive to any sort of learning environment. Back to the question at hand I wish my sister the very best, of course I do, and I always will but my I 100% stand by my choice to run with Mateo Weston.
B:Â The rumor is that youâre starting a all blonde volleyball team, are potentially co-heading a belief group, and have recently entered into a claim... do you feel youâll have time to devote to the Vice President position should you be elected?
E:Â I mean.. Iâm simply in the Volleyball team Iâm not starting it, and Iâm not sure what belief system youâre referring too but... I can confirm I did enter a claim and thatâs part of the reason I decided to do this. I have 5 sisters at this school, countless friends, and now a submissive who were all affected by what happened last month which means Iâll be more than dedicated enough to devote time to both her, and this position if Iâm elected into it.
B:Â Same as I asked your running mate, as there seems to be a connection here in your joint purple candidacy, do you believe in the separation of church and state?
E: [short pause] ...Yes I do believe 100% in the separation of church and state.
- Q&A W/ RIE ANDERSON -
B:Â As the most technically qualified candidate for both the Presidency and VP, how do you plan to implement your MIT political science degree here at Deveruex?
R: When I was in college, I learned a lot about law making, laws in general and political communication. Those are all things that are going to help me here. Also, one thing that my professors were very strict about, was the fact that we should always look at situations with an unbiased opinion. Then we would know what to do, how to solve problems in a way that would be good for the Government but also for the People. So I plan to implement my degree by being a VP that listens, analyses and comes up with good solutions!
B: During a deep dive of your social media accounts I discovered that the adorableness of your face is so very distracting to any other thought processes, that I donât think I read a single caption. Are you going to use that asset to your advantage while intellectually pulverizing the board standing your ground on student issues?
R: [laughs] Well... Why not? As a great VP I should always use all the assets available to my advantage! As long as I can help the students be heard!
B: Maybe not a hot dish but totally sizzling, if you had to choose only one other Anderson to spend the rest of your life stranded on a deserted island with... which would it be?
R:Â I know I said I'd pick Mark to go with me not a long time ago, but you just said for the rest of my life. So assuming I can't leave the island ever again, I'd totally take Blaine with me. He's my favorite Anderson, so he seems like the correct choice!
-
Q&A W/ NORA TOUSSAINTÂ
B:Â Hey, Bestie's babe. You are an absolute angel. I don't have any questions for you, I'm just going to give you the next three minutes of air time. Go for it.
N: [ speaks on popular issues and education issues and the incident with the deans last month and how itâs unacceptable ]
- FINAL QUESTION FOR EVERYONE -Â
BRITT:Â We've heard your main concerns about the campus, is there anything you'd like to add? And also, what is the first action you are planning to take if elected?
EMERSON: My first act as vice president would be to make sure any legacy privileges become something attainable to all students. The divide is something that simply cannot last in a school that presents itself as forward thinking and liberal.
RIE: When I'm elected, I'd like to sit down with the President and talk about plans to make the school a better place for the students. I'd also like to set up an official anonymous communication channel for the students to be able to give their opinions without consequences. I'd also like to speak with the Deans to know what's their expectations of us, as students. From there, we'll start working!
NORA: [ clears throat ]Â My first act as vice president would be... To make sure our education is as up to date as possible. That weâre getting the most updated practices are being taught to us, and not something that was given to us 10 years ago that doesn't apply now. -
Well you heard their intentions here folks! Thank you all for joining me, itâs really nice to hear everyoneâs best foot forward on campus and student issues. I donât know about all of you listeners, but Iâm ready to get to voting!!
This has been your election dish here on Fondue For Two!! Iâm your host Brittany S. Pierce, signing off until next time...Â

Vampire! Kim Namjoon- A Little Game: Chapter 2
Hey guys, this is your reminder to please heed the warnings and stay indoors as much as you can. You are in my prayers and i hope this can make someoneâs day.
MASTERLIST
Part 1
Leggo
...
Sleeping all day and staying up all night was a dramatic difference for you. Namjoon had suggested you train to do so if you were to survive as a regular everyday vampire. You were still a newborn fledging with no experience in this world, your mind was still human. You had yet to come to terms with everything. You didnât want this. Yet here it was.
â Here is your room.â one of the maids, Mona showed you to a bedroom. âI hope itâs to your liking.âÂ
The walls were painted an ivory white colored with gold trimmings around the windows and foyer. The rug was a red velvety color that contrastsed with the charcoal black canopy style bed frame. A mini fireplace was on the far left side of the room, the obvious source of the warmth in the air..Â
âWow.â you crossed your arms, rocking back and forth shyly. âDidnât have to go all out like this just for me.â
âIt was Master Namjoonâs orders.â
You noticed she didnât have any strange symbol on her like you did. You just had to ask.âAre you human?â
âYes.â was her reply. âI have no interest in becoming one if thatâs your question.â
âOh no!â you quickly shook your head. âI was just wondering- and likeâŠfuck Iâm sorry. I probably sound like an asshole.â
âItâs quite alright.â she smiled. âIâm married with beautiful my 5 year old twins. I wouldnât give that up for immortality at all. Not that Iâm implying you wanted to give up your humanity. I donât think any human truely does.âÂ
You took a good look at Mona. She had very long, honey brown hair secured in a long braid that hung down her back. She had bright green eyes, that looked almost artificial like a glass bottle.Â
âIâll be honest, I kinda wish it would have ended for me there. Canât imagine how much shit Iâm gonna have to go through for the nextâŠforever.â you shook your head.
âWell if itâs any consolation. You are very blessed to have Namjoon as your sire. He is a great man. Be patient with him. If you need anything else, simply find me and Iâll be more than happy to assist.â
"Oh, thank youâŠ"
"Since you seem to be one of Namjoon's more promising fledglings, I'll let you in on a little secret." She smiled warmly. "Beware of one of Namjoon's acquaintances. Roseline Petras."
"What about her?" you raised an eyebrow.
"âŠLet's just say she's the reason I have twins instead of triplets." she replied, her face falling significantly. "and the reason vampire laws have changed in the last one thousand yearsâŠand why Master Namjoon vowed to never mentor a fledging for as long as he livedâŠuntil now for some odd reason."
âWhat do you me-â
Without another word, she exited the room, leaving you to your own devices. You watched as she left, in shock. You sat at the edge of the bed, timidly looking around the room. Namjoon would soon summon you to meet him. What did Mona mean by that? Who was this Petra lady? It took just that little information to know that you already didn't like her or what she stood forâŠwhatever the hell it was she stood for. You looked around the room, taking in your new surroundings. It had only been a few days, and yet it felt like the first day over and over again.
Before you could really relax, another maid, Maria appeared in the doorway. She had a mousy high voice, dyed pink hair and eyes so black they almost looked like Marbles. The epitome of a living doll. "Master Namjoon is ready for you now. I can take you to him if you'd like."
"OhâŠthank you." you smiled, standing to your feet. You followed Maria out in the halls following her down the brightly lit hallways. "How long have you been living here?"
"Since birth. I work in the kitchens with my father. Master Namjoon was gracious enough to let us all live with him, even if we have to sleep during the say to fit his schedule. He is a gracious man. The world isn't so accepting like he is."
"YeahâŠI believe it." You trailed off. "So all of you are human?"
"Not all of usâŠ" she replied. "It's hard to explain just how many of us are so different.  My father is one of the many Gods Of Destruction, but he gave up that life. He now comes up with vampire safe versions of human foods and spends his free time gardening."
"Where was he when I was drinking cold and most-likely expired blood!?" you asked, making the young girl laugh. Though she passed it as a joke, you were absolutely dead serious. Worst day of your life...so far.
You both soon stopped at a pair of large wooden doors. "You're free to go in. No knocking required." she said without another word. She pranced away, leaving you by yourself.
"AlrightâŠHere I go." you sighed. You grabbed onto the aged antique door handle and pushed the door open. You were welcomed by a room full of strangers. The only one you could recognize was Namjoon, who was casually flipping boredly through the pages of a book. You noticed the others around the room, they were all studying youâŠexcept for a woman who was staring out the window into space. Either that or she didn't acknowledge you right away.
The room looked like an old library archive, full of bookshelves full of old worn hardback copies of many different selections.Â
"Y/NâŠglad to see you made it here in one piece." Namjoon looked up and threw the book down. "Come in, and close the door behind you please."
You did as you were told, but you could only stand there. Something told you to stay put. Don't make any movesâŠjust stay right where you are and if you need to make a quick getaway you could.
"These are the friends I told you about." he motioned around the room. You took note of the seven other males and three women that stood before you. "They will be your teachers for the next few months."
"That's a lot of names I have to remember." you tried to joke, mainly to calm yourself down. The girl who was staring out the window must have snapped back to reality because she gasped the minute she heard your voice. You were surprised to see milky white eyes stare in your direction.
"There she goesâŠpsycho." one of the women who had been sitting down mumbled. She had long blonde hair and sit poised in an armchair, one leg crossed over the other.
This white haired, white eyed woman didn't seem to care for other girls remarks because she quite literally floated towards you. Her feet lifted of the ground, hair fanning all over the place as she crossed the room. No one else seemed f
"Blessed be, little fledging. A new life has been brought to our world." she grabbed your hand. "How joyous of days!â
"Blissa, I think you're scaring her." Namjoon laughed, seeing you look at him for some sort of help. "Y/N It's okay, you can trust these people. I trust them with my life."
"WellâŠmost of us at least." a male who had been sitting at a piano corrected him. He was dressed all in white, like an angel. "Can't say the same for some of us."
This didn't seem to faze this Blissa character, so she must have not been the one to be weary of. You suddenly remember what Mona said earlierâŠa woman named Roseline Petras. Suddenly, your eyes darted to blonde, sitting with her chin rested in her palm as if she was bored.
Not her a voice in your head said. The one next to her they whispered.
Blissa's smile fellâŠbut only for a second. You probably wouldn't have caught onto it had you not been paying attention. You raised an eyebrow in confusion. You didnât want to speak up, but something told you she was the one who put that voice in your head.
"Is something wrong my child?" she smiled, tilted her head to the side. You noticed her moving her eyes to the right, as if silently telling you to follow the direction of where she was looking. Her milky colored irises, dart once more before you understood. Â You finally caught on and followed her gaze to a short, jet black haired girl, typing away on her phone.
Yes, that one, that's Roseline.
Blissa left your side and began making haste back towards the window.
Best not to tell anyone I can speak to you just yet.
"Elva! Roseline!âŠdon't be rude." Namjoon snapped to blonde.
"âŠAlright alright, sorry!" the blonde sighed, standing to her feet. The other one just didnât look up, instead she leaned back in her head.  The blonde strode up to you, almost in slow motion. "I'm Elvalina. You can call me Elva, most of my friends doâŠno offense butâŠare those the only clothes you have?"
"âŠUh yeah," you answered awkwardly. You had realized you had been wearing the same shirt and jeans for about 4 days. Not the best way to make a first impression now that you thought about it. Â
"âŠI have so much to teach you." she put a hand on your shoulder. "When I'm finished with you, you'll be the hottest fledging anyone's ever seen. "
"Hey! Let some of us meet her first before you claim her as your bestie!"
"SHUT UP HOSEOK!" she glared at the guy who was casually flicking a light on and off. "She's the first girl I've seen around you guys in a while, don't ruin this for me!"
"Nice to meet you all." you bowed respectfully. You had no idea how this fledgling thing worked, so you used human decency instead. "I'm sorry in advanced if I take a while to learn."
"This oneâŠI like her." Elva wrapped an arm around your shoulder. âPoliteness...I dig it!â
âŠâŠ
"Is it always this cold outside?" you stood outside with Seokjin.
"No, our senses pick up on temperatures a lot differently than humans. You'll eventually get used to to it." He replied. "Now, what do you see?"
You tried to look around the forest, but it was pitch black outside. You couldn't see a thing. "It's too dark to see. You could barely make out your own shoes on the ground." you sighed with defeat. "Maybe I just can't do it." you looked down sheepishly.
"Hey." he reached out to touch your shoulder. "It's hard at first, yeah. But you can't beat yourself up, you're a newborn fledgling. It's normal for you." he comforted. "Here, close your eyes."
"You aren't gonna scare me are you?" you asked suspiciously. Every time someone told you to close your eyes, it ended with you almost peeing yourself.
"Trust me."
"Alright, alright." you closed your eyes as he instructed. "Now what?"
"Picture the space around you as if it were daytime."
"What? How do I do that?"
"Just try."
With another sigh, you tried to recreate the image in your head, only with the sun rays peeking out from the sky. You attempted to recreate the dirt path with dead leaves and wet logs from the morning dew sticking. You pictured the warmth from the damp air against your skin, despite being cold.
"Do you have it?" came Seokjin's voice.
"I think so." you responded. You opened your eyes only to be welcomed to a crystal clear view before you. The shadows casted from the tall trees were no longer shadows, but giant pine trees. The previously bleak sky had turned into a cloudless, star speckled painting and most importantly, the moon which had previously been nothing more than a standard crescent, was the focal point of everything you could see. It was exactly like a photograph. "Woah."
"You did it didn't you? Can you see it?" you turned to Seokjin who wore a smile. "Everything's so clear isn't it." he asked. "It always it once you complete the change."
Even as a human in the day time, the forest didn't look this clear. Nothing did.
"NowâŠwhat do you hear?"
Upon hearing him ask you, you were welcomed by all sorts of sounds, so many at one time. "Everything." you replied. "It's kind of overwhelming."
"Good, you're making process. Namjoon will be pleased." he replied. "You're learning quickly."
"Good to know." you said awkwardly.
"âŠ.I know this isn't going to be the most helpful or assuring, but Namjoon is the most trustworthy man I know. I've known him for many years, longer than your great great great grandparents have been alive. Maybe even longer."
"Yeah and I'm blessed to have him as my sire? I got this talk already." you crossed your arms. "I'm justâŠnot ready for this yet." you sighed. "I don't know how long it'll take me to get used to this."
"For some it takes all their lives. Lucky for us we have forever." he winked. "You don't have to go through this alone. If anything happens, call Old Man Seokjin." he winked.
"I'll remember that." you replied.
⊠(The next Night)
To say you were surprised to see Elva and Blissa standing over you.
"OH MY-" you rolled out of bed, falling on your back. "OOF-" you grunted, even though you felt no pain. "Where did you guys come from!?"
"We were here the whole time. You're a heavy sleeper. Did you know that?" Blissa smiled.
" I do now." you heaved yourself off the floor. "Not that I'm not thrilled to see you guys, but what are you doing here?"
"It's just about to be dark and we have loads to do. So get cha' ass up, fix your hair and put this on." a shopping back was hauled in your direction, courtesy of Elva.
"What exactly are we doing?"
"Seduce and glamour." Blissa said. "Not exactly on the lesson plan but fun to know nonetheless, wouldn't you agree?"
âAnd what better way to test these abilities then a night on the town. Trust me, youâll be one hundred percent safe with us.â
"âŠ.Sure." you trailed off. "Let's go I guess."

The Dinner
Summary: Keegan has always had a crush on her best friendâs dad. Sam Winchester has always thought of his daughterâs best friend as his own daughter. What will a dinner all together begin to prove?
Warnings: None
Word Count: 2.4k
A/N: This is the first part to my first series posted! Iâm excited to see how it turns out! Please give me feedback!
I stared at my reflection in the mirror, admiring the dress that I had picked up for graduation earlier while shopping with my best friend. The ruffles along my shoulders and at the bottom near the middle of my thighs were adorable, the fabric was soft to the touch, and the dress hugged my curves perfectly. In the mirror I could see Brook, my best friend, walking up behind me. She looked at me in the dress and said, âKee, you could not have picked a better dress for yourself. It fits you perfectly and looks absolutely amazing on you! You could steal anyoneâs heart wearing that dress!â
Brook and I have shared an apartment for the past three years that we have been in college. Freshman year we were roommates in the dorms and instantly clicked as friends, by the end of the year we agreed to split the rent on an apartment and it was the utmost best decision we ever could have made. Now weâre seniors with two weeks left before graduation and inseparable.Â
âDonât get me wrong Kee, I love seeing you in that dress but we need to get ready. My dad is meeting us at the restaurant in an hour.âÂ
âShit! B! You couldnât have told me sooner?! I still need to shower, dry my hair, and get dressed! Ughhh I hate when Iâm running behind.âÂ
âYou have time, jeez, itâs not like you have to dress to impress, it's only us and my dad going. Chloe told me she has to go to dinner with her sisters so Iâm a lone woman tonight alongside my bestie.â
Not known to Brook, I have to dress at least half decent because of the fact that Brookâs father, Sam Winchester, is the hottest and sweetest man to ever walk the earth. No matter how many times he has seen me dressed in sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt with a messy bun on top of my head, if I have the chance to dress in a way that he might find to be attractive I will.Â
Pulling off the dress and hanging it against the body-length mirror near my desk, I headed to the bathroom connected to my room to take a shower. Grabbing a towel from a shelf in the bathroom I placed it on the vanity before turning on the water to the shower. Stripping my bra and panties, I stepped into the shower feeling the hot water brush off the nervousness of sitting at the dinner table with Sam and Brook for around an hour.Â
After washing up, I stepped out of the shower wrapping the towel I had grabbed before around my body and walking to my closet to pick out an outfit for dinner. Looking at my clothes I decided on a pair of high-waisted white skinny jeans with a hole in each knee, a simple flowy black spaghetti strapped shirt, and a pair of black booties. Grabbing my black push up bra and matching thong I put them on before pulling my jeans up my legs and my shirt over my head. Walking back into the bathroom, I put on a little mascara and swiped some clear lip gloss and kept it as I walked over to my desk putting it in my purse. Putting my purse on my shoulder, I slid on my jean jacket that was hanging on the back of my desk chair and walked out of my room to meet Brook.Â
âAre you driving?â Brook asked as she locked the door to our apartment and we headed down the stairs to the parking lot.Â
âDonât I always?â I laughed and pulled my keys out of my purse just as we got to my jeep parked in the front of the parking lot.Â
Both of us laughed at the comment I made because of how true it is, we hopped into my jeep and I started asking her what restaurant we were meeting her dad at.Â
âThe italian restaurant on the corner that we always go to,â she told me as I pulled out of my parking spot and headed to the exit of the lot.Â
Pulling out onto the main road, Brook turned the music on the radio up loud and we both sang our hearts out for the quick ten minute drive to the restaurant. Getting into the parking lot I found a parking spot easily in the front since it was only a Wednesday. Turning off my jeep and both of us getting out grabbing our purses, I locked it and we made our way to the front doors of the restaurant.Â
When we walked in the front door Brook immediately saw her dad sitting at a booth in the back. As we walked up to the booth he looked up and saw each of us, getting up to greet us both he hugged Brook tightly first. I slightly looked over every square inch of him. He was wearing a nice pair of dark blue jeans that made his legs look longer if that was even possible, the black shirt he had on was just tight enough to show off his muscular chest, and the flannel he wore over his shirt was rolled up to his elbows and showed off his fantastic arms. Not to mention his long, brown hair looked soft enough that I just wanted to run my fingers through it and the scruff on his jawline like he hadnât shaved in a couple days was beyond sexy. God how was this man in his forties?
After Sam finished hugging Brook, I walked up and gave him a hug. Pulling away slightly from the hug, Sam looked at me with a smile, âKeegan, you look just as gorgeous as always,â his hand lingering on the small of my back as I sat in the booth next to Brook, followed by Sam sitting on his side across from us. My mind couldnât get over the way he kept his hand on my back for so long but I just chalked it up to me overthinking it.Â
After we ordered our drinks, Brook looked at me telling me that she needed the bathroom so I got up and let her out before sitting back down, alone at the table with Sam. Silently cursing myself for not going with Brook.Â
âSo, Mr. Winchester, how are things going over at the bar?â I asked trying to make small talk until Brook got back.Â
âKeegan, how many times have I told you that you can call me Sam?â he chuckled and flashed a huge smile at me before continuing with his response. âWell you know my brother, Dean, has always been such a great help and it was such a great idea for us to go in as partners instead of alone, and heâs been helping out a lot with the bartending especially now since Iâm getting prepared for you and Brook to be graduating,â he said as he rubbed the back of his neck, a nervous tick of his you had noticed over the past few years but it confused me as to why he was doing it while talking to me. âUm, Dean actually tells me that he sees you in there quite a bit, but somehow you manage to be there when Iâm not.â
Letting out a nervous chuckle, I looked up at him through my eyelashes, âYea, uh, I tend to go when I have a rough or long day, you know? And with graduation coming up it seems thereâs been a lot of those lately. You might as well give me a job helping bartend. I have been there so often.â
âIf youâre interested. It couldnât hurt having such a pretty woman behind the bar,â he said, meeting my eyes. I gave him a soft smile but neither one of us pulled our eyes away from the other, I could swear I saw some time of emotion in his eye that I hadnât seen before.Â
Hearing Brookâs voice as she came back to the table, both me and Sam looked away from each other before I got out of the booth to let Brook back in. As the waiter came back with our drinks we all ordered our food and started to talk about what Brook and I had left for our classes.Â
âI know Brook only has one final left on Friday, do you have anything left to do Keegan?â Sam asked me after taking a sip of his water.Â
âWell, actually, no. I took my last final on Monday so I have absolutely nothing to do until graduation,â I told him and took a sip of my sweet tea.Â
âYou could start training on Friday if youâd like. I wasnât joking about you coming bartend. Plus youâd start getting free drinks instead of having to pay every time you came,â he told me with a laugh.Â
Brook looked at both of us with this quizzical expression on her face, completely confused about what we were talking about.Â
Looking to Brook I gave her a smile, âYour dad offered me a job bartending at the bar,â I told her to clear up her confusion.Â
âOhh, that sounds like a great idea, are you going to take it Kee?â she asked me.Â
Biting my lip and looking between her and Sam, I let out a nervous laugh, âSure, I donât see why not,â and I instantly regretted my statement because that would mean Iâd be spending a whole lot more time with Sam without Brook being there.Â
Finishing our meals, we were all completely full and ready to go home. The waiter came by with the check and Sam automatically gave him his card. Brook looked at him with a glare, âDad, you donât have to do that, we can pay for ourselves.â After Sam took the last sip of his water, he looked between me and Brook, âI know, but consider it my treat. I donât get to see you two women as often as Iâd like,â and with his last few words his eyes landed on me. Those words instantly made me blush and I had to look down so that he wouldnât notice.Â
When the waiter got back with Samâs card and the receipt we all got up and made our way to the doors. After Brook gave her dad a hug goodbye, Sam looked at me and asked if I could stay and talk to him about Friday. âOh, uh, yeah of course,â I responded when he asked, giving the keys to Brook I said with a laugh, âYou can start it. Just do not go anywhere because that gives you the ability to wreck it!âÂ
Turning back to Sam, âSo what about Friday did you want to talk about?â I asked him.Â
âI genuinely am offering you a job if you donât think I am,â he started with a chuckle and started rubbing to back of his neck nervously for some unknown reason, âand, uh, Iâm going to personally train you on Friday so that you donât have to worry about it being Dean, someone that you donât know all that well,â he explained to me.Â
âI actually was a bartender for a few months freshman year so itâs fine if Dean trains me, Iâm sure Iâll get the hang of it pretty quickly,â I assured him, desperately trying to not have to spend an entire first night working with him.Â
âKeegan, I insist. Plus, itâll give me some time to get to know you more because I donât know really all too much about you,â he said with what looked to be a nervous smile on his face.Â
âOkay, I guess if you insist. Iâll see you Friday, I have to go before Brook messes anything up in my jeep,â I said with a laugh, âyou know how that is.âÂ
âYep I sure do,â he laughed. Giving me a hug goodbye I again felt as if his hand lingered on my lower back but it was probably nothing.Â
Walking to my jeep I put my head in my hands out of nervous habit over actually agreeing to take a job at Samâs bar and to be trained by him. Yet, I smiled when I lifted my head back up because I was kind of happy to spend alone time with him and that he wanted to get to know me more, even if it was just because Iâm his daughter's best friend.Â
Sam POV
Running my hands down my face I let out a huge sigh, not out of relief but out of nervousness surprisingly. I had been nervous throughout the whole dinner and I couldnât even start to understand why.Â
Keegan is Brookâs best friend, Iâve known her for four years, but yet somehow she surprises me. She always looked amazing, but tonight for some unknown reason her looks really hit me. The way her dark hair flowed over her shoulders, the way her shirt had dipped just low enough to show off a little cleavage, and the way her jeans perfectly shaped her hips and ass. And damn, the ass that woman had. But god, there was no reason for me to be thinking about her in that way, she was basically a daughter to me, right? Then I had to go and offer her a job, where she would wear clothes a lot more revealing than what she wore tonight.Â
Throwing my head back against the seat I kept thinking about how I couldnât even talk to her without getting nervous. Not even because of how she looks but because of how sweet her voice sounded and how cute she was when she was laughing.Â
What was going on in my pants? Sure it had been way too long since Iâd been with someone else but that didnât mean I was becoming attracted to Keegan that way because of it. And more importantly what was going on with my heart and why was I feeling this way all of a sudden?Â
I would really have to get it together before I spent the whole night with her on Friday. Putting the key in the ignition of my car I turned it on and quickly pulled out hoping that occupying myself with driving would take my mind off of her.

Books Read in February 2019
There There by Tommy Orange
I read one of the hottest new Lit books in a timely fashion? How shocking! I liked but did not love this. Less a novel then a story cycle it has 12 pov characters, all Native Americans, that are loosely related by blood or circumstance all living in and around Oakland who gather together during a pow wow with some disastrous consequences. The good was the writing which was engaging. I didnât mind the loose structure but it also disappointed me a little bit. If youâre going to have 12 pov characters you better make them damn distinct and unfortunately they started to bleed together a little too much. I had to keep flipping back through the pages to try and remember who certain characters were and I read this pretty quickly, I canât imagine how difficult it would be to remember if I was a slower reader. If Orange had focused on fewer characters and fleshed them out a little more I might have liked the book better. It was still a very good solid read, mostly lived up to the hype!Â
Animals by Emma Jane Unsworth
Another book I liked but didnât love! Honestly a pretty good solid read. I am a sucker for friendship books and this book is about a 32 year old codependent alcoholic on the verge of growing up and getting married who is still pretty much married to her hard drinking and the best friend who enables her. Itâs set in Manchester and honestly the writing was a little... dense for me to get through including some Britishims that Iâm not quite sure I understood. Really good and solid though. Also despite this being a really classic tale (woman has bestie, bestie falls in love with a guy, friendship gets fucked up) this had a really good and honest ending which felt perfect. Good read, would recommend.Â
An American Marriage by Tayari Jones
A fantastic book! I read this all in one go because it grabbed me from the beginning and never let go. The book covers about 7 years in the courtship of one couple, an African-American couple from Atlanta who, shortly after their first year of marriage, are separated when the husband of the couple is arrested for rape. The book makes it clear that he didnât do it, but because of his skin colour he winds up becoming a victim of Americaâs prison industrial complex and their marriage suffers as a result. Itâs a heart breaking read and there are three pov characters and Jones does an excellent job balancing between them and making it clear what their intentions are so that even when theyâre hurting each other we see theyâre not wrong exactly.Â
The crazy and sad thing to me is that I read an interview with Jones after reading the book and she said the entire thing was originally told from the womanâs perspective but everyone hated her so much and found her so unsympathetic she added in the male perspectives. Now the book doesnât suffer at all as a result but at the same time it made me really sad. I would have loved to read this book as told entirely from the womanâs pov and it sucks that black women are still judged so harshly and held to such brutal standards (she said people still find her female character unsympathetic to which I say âGet a gripâ). Anyway this was brilliant and I was happy to see that Jones has written other books which I will definitely be digging into.Â
Childhood by André Alexis
What can I say? Iâve loved Alexisâs writing since I first read the book that broke him into the big leagues, Fifteen Dogs. Childhood is his first book published in 1998 and is a really weird novel, so closed off and in some ways pedantic and self indulgent that I understand why it got very little notice when it was first published. The book takes the form of a love letter written to the main characterâs paramour and which he claims is about his mother and her love affair with a man called Henry who was like a father figure to him. At least half of it is about his actual childhood and anyway what itâs actually about is this repressed abused man finally opening up because he doesnât want to live the life of missed opportunities like his parental figures. Incredible writing completely carries this through. I really enjoyed it though I donât know if others would. For Canadian lit snobs only I guess.Â
Erratic Facts by Kay Ryan
I donât know, I donât feel like a good poetry reader and I seldom read poetry so I donât even know how to review this. Ryan is someone whose poems I admire every time I see one so I decided to give these a shot. Theyâre all quite short and quite beautiful. Only a couple really stuck with me. Still a good, short read.
Amsterdam by Ian McEwan
Iâve read 8 books by McEwan and Iâve loved 7 of them. That 7 now includes Amsterdam which is a quite brilliant and quite darkly amusing short morality novel. It regards two friends, a journalist and a composer, both former lovers of a wonderful woman who dies of a degenerative disease who make a pact to euthanize the other should circumstances ever require it. Fun, surprising, witty. Loved it. As I side not my choices this month were wonderful! not a bad book in the bunch!
I also read two scripts:
Destroyer by Phil Hay & Matt Manfredi
I was actually REALLY looking forward to this movie and when I watched it I was incredibly disappointed. I did something I almost never do after Iâve finished watching the movie and read the script. Sometimes screenplays work better as screenplays and donât pop when theyâre filmed off the page. I didnât think this one popped per se, but I did think the screenplay didnât show off the faults and plot holes as much as the movie did. Itâs too bad because I liked the story, the twist ending and the lead character but this was a draft or two short of really working.
Eighth Grade by Bo Burnham
Like almost everyone else I was totally traumatized by living through grade 8. I decided there was no way in hell I hated myself enough to watch this movie so I decided to read the script instead. This one popped immediately. Funny, brutal, sharp, hilarious. Iâm glad Burnham one some awards for this. Well deserved.

itâs your favorite bitches, @pixilated and @laprincessa here and ready to rock your world. Â we donât care if you read it or not, the rest of the world already has.Â
The Red Carpet Review with @pixilatedÂ
While some went unnoticed (I canât tell if those were intentional or not), there were definitely some looks. With every celeb on the red carpet dying to make an impression, some unfortunately are destined to miss the mark-- the Carringtonâs Gala was no exception. Now, I present to you last weekendâs best and worst dressed.
WORST: Sarah Park
No one would disagree with us when we say that Sarah looked like absolute literal trash, and sweetie, she canât even challenge us on this one. We get it, you love the environment. Showing up to the red carpet in a dress made of trash was a power move, Ms. Park. Thereâs something fishy about this whole demonstration, but Iâll let @laprincessa tell you all about that. This dress didnât even last the whole night, so structurally it was not sound. We applaud you for having the balls for wearing this as your red carpet look, I donât think anyone else could have pulled it off.
BEST: Tyler Henry
Not a big surprise here, with all the money this girl has we expected nothing less. Weâre almost positive that this dress costs less than the rock on her finger anyways. Henry also wore a stunning shade of green with her tiff toward Ms. Duffy and quite possibly a slightly different shade of green later that night due to her consumption of champagne-- eight or nine glasses would definitely make me sick. Thankfully for Ms. Henry, pink and green are complementary colors, so thereâs no need to call the fashion police on this one.
WORST: Drew Koenig
*Yawn* Guess we should have seen this one coming considering the Koenigâs past with their money loss, maybe they are just trying to be more fiscally responsible, who knows. However, we know some better ways to be fiscally responsible-- especially for an underwear model. Showing up in #hiscalvins would have been a look, but instead weâre left with this lackluster appearance.
BEST: Willa Duffy
Time and again, Willa Duffy does not fail to impress-- itâs no wonder sheâs continuously at the top of everyoneâs radar. She dazzled everyone at the gala with this blue and gold number, Ms. Duffy you truly looked like a princess. Flora and Merryweather probably fought less than @laprincessa and I did on who was best dressed -- pink or blue! We just couldnât settle on Ms. Duffy or Ms. Henry for the title, weâll let them settle that in their own time, we just wanted to add a little more fuel to the fire between those two.
WORST: Charlie Carrington
Oh Carrington, it seems like a cop out to just get a handkerchief to match your girl. Maybe Ms. Henry was too indecisive about her look that you settled for something simple. Your name wasnât even on the invitation, little Charlie, and your suit didnât make you standout either.
@laprincessa: Que decepciĂłn, I honestly expected more of you Carrington, especialmente cuando your fiance is a fashion icon, tsk tsk communication is key darlings! Â Let me take this time to express my utter disappointment with men in high society always showing up in the same old somber tones, in the same old boring suits. The fashion world is always moving forward and you have the money to really show up and represent. Explore with colors, patterns and textures! Floral is not just for the ladies, gentlemen-- the more vibrant the color the more impressive you stand out. Stop boring me to tears with the same old suit and tie.
BEST: Jared Caldwell
That brings me to the best dressed guy, which goes to New Money Caldwell. Let me just fangirl about this this man for a second, can you tell that I just absolutely love him. Sure no one really knows who he is and heâs just a nerdy guy who made the hottest app, but if he ghosted me I would be heartbroken. I can see why Martha was all over this man, look at that t e x t u r e. Boys, you need to take a few notes in your book from him. THIS is how you rock a gala look. Â
WORST: Victoria Sparks
Thereâs nothing awful about this look, in fact the only one who really swung and missed was Ms. Park, but thereâs nothing that really stands out either. I think we were all on the edge of our seats to see if your date would be your mother. I wonder if youâre feeling well, with your dreamy, far-off look and your nose stuck in a book-- what a puzzle to the rest of us is well, Ms. Sparks. I should have expected this from New Yorkâs Sweetheart who has been flying under the radar, but weâre dying to know why your personality is still missing when you are back in the big apple with mommy dearest.
BEST: Juniper Winslow
Such a classic look from Ms. Winslow, it brings me back to the Juni: Princess of the Galaxy days! You really were a star. Thank goodness you didnât have a fashion disaster tonight, but itâs such a shame your ex-mans was at the gala too. You really seemed on edge, Juni. The class the dress brought definitely compensated for the mess that followed.
BEST: Sarah Park
Hats off to you Ms. Park for not only receiving worst dressed, but also receiving the best dressed. While it wasnât your red carpet look, you definitely turned some heads with this one too. Your transition from the trash in our ocean to your sandy sparkly look was not only touching, but inspiring. Congrats from your two faves-- oh and tell your bestie that #TimesUp on the fashion trend she tried to bring to the gala.
No Me Digas! con @laprincessa
Now you all know we love our fashion opinions, but what we thirst is more than what our fellow socialites were wearing. We thirst for the knowledge of what they are doing and subsequently hiding. Good thing is... we know all, we see all and my, my, my! What juicy content do we have to share.
While so many of you flew under the radar, stuck to the walls or hidden in the corners, some of you truly saved this gala from being a total snoozefest. I for one, was ready to post some secrets just to have a reaction from all those in attendance, but early on it was easy to spot that things were bound to get interesting.
Let me start with the ever so fabulous Tyler Henry. Mija, you were a total mess. The woman who has everything-- the wealth, good genes, the rock on her finger with the handsome man at her side-- started guzzling down champagne like it was water. What could possibly warrant Ms. Henry to act impulsively on the night of her soon-to-be familyâs gala? Â My sources say that daddy dearest broke a promise and the Henryâs wholesome family unit was minus one. The night just kept getting better as Ms. Henry decided to up the ante and get into not one but two major confrontations.
The First: #theAutocrat vs #theVisionary
While we agree that Ms. Sarah Park was a total eyesore in that, for lack of a better term-- trashy dress, was it really necessary to ruin it? Now before all you Tyler-stans get all defensive here are the facts. The two ladies were spotted having a quarrel, it wouldnât surprise me if the camera crew got all the juicy details of what was said. All I know is that the back-and-forth reached the point where Ms. Henry was seen pulling in the Carringtonâs guest speaker real close, and not for the steamy reasons weâre all hoping for, Â and as Ms. Park pulled away... oops! Her dress was falling apart and Tyler was left with plastic in her hands. Seems pretty incriminating to me. In the end I feel like I should thank Tyler, Sarah was forced to change and I ended up getting a delectable view of her banging body. Â Â
@pixilated: Hey! #TeamTyler over here and I wouldnât say that miss-horny-for-change can get away without pointing a few fingers at her. No one would believe it, but rumor has it Ms. Park could have had a few tricks up her sleeve and wanted Ms. Henry to rip her dress all along. Hell, Iâd want that dis-gus-ting thing off of me too. Tyler did warn her never to call her by that godforsaken nickname. Seems like she was set-up to have the perfect alibi, but thatâs just my cup of tea.
Since @pixilated has already revealed herself to be in #TeamTyler I guess I can go ahead and reveal that while Iâm not on any teams yet,  I do have a soft spot for Sarah Park. She had the guts to embarrass herself in front of all the whoâs who of New York because her love of activism ran stronger than the need to look good. Sheâs constantly using her privilege for the greater good and I canât help but admire that. Not even a wardrobe malfunction could slow her down. Ms. Park was right on time to perform her speech and the outpouring of support confirmed what we all know, this girl is on fire. Was it just me or did any of you notice how her speech even used her dress falling apart to her advantage? Ms. Park is one smart cookie, good thing she seems like she wants to help the world and not ruin it. And as Selena Gomez always said, âeverything is not what it seems.ïżœïżœ *queue theme song here*
The Second: #theAutocrat vs #theModel
Youâd think I would be so over the drama between these two, but I canât help it! They are my guilty pleasure and they always indulge me. I wonder whatever compelled Tyler Henry to approach Willa Duffy in the first place? Was Willa enchanting too many guests? Was she taking too much of the spotlight? Or was it because Willa was looking a little too cute laughing up a storm with Charles Carrington himself? Whatever the reason was, Ms. Henry was seven drinks too many in and confronting Willa Duffy in front of the whole gala!! Scandalous! I know I felt a shiver of excitement when I saw that showdown happening. These queens of New York were both so formidable with their consistent, calculated clapbacks, but it was apparent that the Queen Bee, Ms. Henry, stung Ms. Duffy one too many times. It's amazing to imagine how they could rule the whole city if they only joined forces once again. I know, I know, never gonna happen! It's the dreamer in me I canât help it. Anyways, much like Tylerâs first confrontation, Willa left the scene first and while in many instances that would be a win. Is it really a win to act like a drunken fool in front of all your fianceâs family and esteemed guests? So whoâs the real winner here? We are of course! We would like to thank Charlie for quite literally making the whole Tyler drama sweeter by removing her from the premise to grab a scoop to forget her stand-up dad.
So much time spent on Ms. Henry itâs safe to say sheâs our Scandal of the Week. But there are so many who also caught our interest never fear!
Ms. Duffy where is your shadow? Consider us shocked at not seeing the Duffy twins attached at the hip. We know he was there or did he bail out before the party even got started? Perhaps itâs a good thing, we canât imagine you would have charmed as many guests with your demon of a brother at your side.
Drew Koenig, your foolish, misogynistic attempts to win over Bella De La Rosa Lopez did not go unnoticed. You might like your women like you like your drinks, âsweet and a little spicy,â but Iâve heard Bella likes her men how most people like their wine. Luck for us, Ms. De La Rosa ended her night dancing with Ms. Duffy and not with the likes of you.
@pixilated: Some advice for Charlie Carrington, if you want people to respect your relationship with Tyler Henry, you best not be seen chatting it up and getting comfortable with her sworn enemy. Maybe heâs just trying to keep their enemies close.
My girl here has a point, weâve been told that the Duffyâs and the Carringtonâs have been friends for years but there is such a thing as loyalty to your loved one no? On the other hand there is something so cute seeing two friends laughing up a storm. The real truth here is that Iâm a messy bitch and I live for this drama.
@pixilated: And one final word to the wise-- the Marthas of the world better throw caution to the wind and watch their back, Iâm tryna steal your mans <3
I donât know pixie, Jared seems pretty enamored with the one, the only, Willa Duffy, are the Marthas of the world the real threat here?
@pixilated: I donât care who you are, if you have heart eyes for Jared Caldwell, I suggest wearing shades so I canât pick you out of a crowd.
This concludes our honest review. If you didnât see yourself mentioned donât get comfortable, either you didnât do anything worthy of a mention which *yawn* or weâre biding our time to comment on all the messy things you do. Both options make me want to spill all your deep dark secrets but my partner says waiting is key to ultimate satisfaction.
Until next time,Â
xoxo

Tomorrow is another one of those Divas anniversaries â fourteen years to the day since Trish Stratus and Lita wrestled in the main event of Monday Night Raw in a Womenâs Title match.
This is a big one, not only because it was just the second time a womenâs match headlined an episode of Raw without any pesky men around, and not only because it was the biggest bout yet between the two biggest stars of the era, but also because it was the culmination of a nine month feud that was far and away the best thing about Raw in 2004.
On a personal note, this is the 20th Deep Dive Iâve written for you kind folks, and in an extraordinary and uncharacteristic show of restraint, I Dove Deep nineteen whole times while barely mentioning the greatest of all time, my sun and stars, moon of my life, Trish Stratus. Now, thatâs simply because Iâm so excited to talk about ALL of these women and thereâs so much to cover, but that streak is well and truly over today because for real dudes, Trish Stratus in 2004 is the greatest gift that He ever sent down from the heavens to grace this wretched wasteland of a planet.
She is God tier.
The entire feud is fantastic, in fact, so let me spin you another yarn. There are about three different soap opera storylines to get through here so the short version of this preamble is that in late 2003 Trish and Lita, bestest best friends, were being pursued by Jericho and Christian respectively, the boys made a bet for $1 (Canadian) that they could hit that, Jericho ended up catching feelings and turning babyface, only for Trish to kick his ass to the curb and turn heel and mack on with Christian on the WrestleMania XX stage.
Thank u, next.
You may wonder how Trish goes from breaking Jerichoâs heart to making Litaâs life a living hell. After all, last we saw they were bestest best friends! Iâll tell you how. This was all the fault of a womenâs battle royal. In wrestling, some battle royals are throwaway. Others change the course of the next nine months of television. This was the match that launched a thousand skits.
It was a couple weeks after WrestleMania, and this particular battle royal was for No. 1 Contendership. Basically all of the other dorks got tossed during the ad break and we end up with Trish and Lita facing off in a big finishing stretch to determine the winner. Despite Trish and Christian still being in the middle of their feud with Jericho, and despite Jerichoâs interference late in this match handing Lita the victory, Trish seems FAR more offended at Lita beating her than at anything Jericho is doing. Itâs a subtle shift in Trishâs motivation, where the focus of her vitriol becomes her bestie/archrival, Lita, someone sheâs comfortable fighting against, instead of a man that she isnât really a physical threat to. Heel Trish liked to punch down, and Lita was a much easier target.
She had NO IDEA how much of an easy target Lita would soon become.
For reasons that remain unbeknownst to this day, I believe, one fateful day on Raw, Kane decided to interrupt a Divas tag team match, corner Lita in the ring, and forcibly kiss her. Oh yes my dudes, THIS WHOLE THING THAT HAPPENED.
Kane began stalking Lita on Raw every week, with her then-boyfriend Matt Hardy often getting in the middle. Trish Stratus observed her best friend being relentlessly stalked and molested by a psychopathic monster and decided, âYep. I am going to ROAST THE SHIT OUT OF THIS BITCH LMAOâ
She started out with the gold standard of fuckwithery, âOh no! Look out! Kaneâs behind you! BAHAHAHAHAHA!â And just stepped it up from there.
When Kane defeated Matt Hardy at SummerSlam 2004 for the right to marry Lita (I know, I knowâŠ) Trish was kind and thoughtful enough to corral the other heel Divas and throw Lita a bridal shower! (And let me tell you, the way that Trish utters the phrase, âBecause you have to marry *KANE*â is just⊠I saw God.)
Then we ALL saw God when she crashed the wedding itself.
If you can get past the outfit, this run in is also basically the greatest speech anyone has ever made at a wedding. âAll you have to do is open your heart! Just like you opened your legs!â
Holy moley.
When Lita was impregnated with Kaneâs demon baby as a result of Kane coercing her into sex to protect Matt Hardy (hmmm why does this sound so familiar??) who else was there to greet her backstage with jokes about it âfesteringâ inside her but King Dick Trish. That whole episode in fact (Raw, September 6th) was basically a one woman show. She dragged Lita mercilessly for getting knocked up by Kane, turned around and dragged Nidia for yelling at her in Spanish (âI donât speak German!â), then dragged Nidia in the ring to one of her best matches like the GOAT she is, and then when Nidia started making her comeback, Trish could super not be fucked dealing with it and just straight up RIPPED NIDIAâS SHIRT CLEAN OPEN to distract her and kicked her head off.
I have no words for that kind of thuggery.
But back to our bullshit, when Lita then lost the aforementioned demon baby after an unfortunate and definitely-not-his-fault incident with Gene Snitsky (I KNOW, I KNOW OKAY!), who was there waiting to savage her some more about losing her pregnancy weight and drop lines like âAt Survivor Series youâre gonna lose to me, just like you lost your babyâ ?? You guessed it! King Dick Trish, the fucking asshole. What kind of prick trolls someone about having a miscarriage? Jesus.
Speaking of Survivor Series, let me catch you up on other, more normal events. At Bad Blood 2004, after an original Victoria vs. Gail Kim defense was changed to a four way with Trish and Lita, Trish, of course, stole the winning pin from under Litaâs nose and won the belt. From there itâs a tale of two women; Trish ruling atop of the Womenâs Division as champ, and Lita toiling away in the Utter Bullshit Division. For months they only really ever met in these backstage skits and promos where Trish would body her over and over when she knew Lita couldnât retaliate. And that was all they needed to make it the hottest feud on Raw.
Finally, in November Lita moved from the Utter Bullshit Division back into the Womenâs Division and immediately set her sights firmly on Womenâs Champion King Dick Trish Stratus. The match is made for Survivor Series. Jericho hosts a Highlight Reel featuring the both of them in the lead up, and he brings a referee out with him because heâs TERRIFIED of having them in the same room together.
With good reason. Theyâve barely laid a hand on each other since that title match back in June. There is five full months of angst packed into this powder keg.
And it well and truly goes off at the PPV.
Trish comes out first and is STILL making puffy cheeked chubby faces as Lita makes her entrance, determined to make absolutely sure of her own death I guess. Lita walks down to the ring and punches Trish right in her fucking face. And punches her again. And again.
Then they go outside and all hell breaks loose. Lita grabs a chair and absolutely WALLOPS Trish for the DQ. Trish BLEEDS. Women NEVER bleed on WWE TV, but Trish got that juice brother. Lita kept going crazy and blasted Trish from behind right into the stairs in one of the greatest camera shots of all time. Trish freaks out spectacularly at the sight of her own blood. And somehow, considering this was an immediate DQ finish for a PPV title match they spent half the year building, this was some great business.
From this point forward Lita is fascinating to watch. You might think sheâd go on some crazy tear of babyface revenge going after Trishâs title, but sheâs actually the complete opposite. Sheâs not frantic or wild or in a hurry. Sheâs⊠calm. Almost serene. Itâs as if she knows at this point that she HAS Trish. Sheâs got her. Sheâs finally free to fight her, she already beat the shit out of her at Survivor Series, now Trish is wearing a face mask on her broken nose that Lita can gleefully target, and she knows her day is coming. Lita is completely free to punch Trish in the face all she wants for all of the shit sheâs been talking all year. Lita is free. Finally. And so she doesnât chase Trish. She takes her time. She enjoys it. After all of the crazy shit sheâs gone through in 2004, itâs actually a relief to just enjoy beating up a familiar foe in a wrestling match.
I bang on a lot about Trish here, and itâs always the heels that get to have more fun, but donât sleep on Lita. She was also great during this entire angle (while having to do some truly horrid bullshit) and this part of it in particular was some fantastic work.
So the return match for title is finally made (by the ever-present Chris Jericho in his role as guest GM, in a nice touch) for the December 6th Raw. This show happens to be in Charlotte, not very far at all from Litaâs hometown at the time of Sanford, NC. The Womenâs Title gets that main event slot baby. They spent the whole night recapping the feud to build up to it. Jim Ross dropped a great line about how to these women, this title means as much as the Worldâs Heavyweight Title does to the guys. The scene is set.
But not before one last backstage skit. We couldnât really have it any other way. Trish had taken to calling Lita âThe Walking Kiss of Deathâ and jokingly asked whoâs career Lita was going to kill tonight, to which Lita obviously replied, âYoursâ and gave her a big smackeroo. Now, Lita was just being smart here because as we know from this and Mickie James in the near future, kissing Trish before a match increases your chances of having a motherfucking BANGER with her by at least 1000%.
Thatâs just science.
What is a lot harder to explain with science is how Lita actually survived the match.
Yâall remember THAT bump. Lita hit a tope and landed so hard on her face her body scorpioned ov-argh. Nope. Itâs fourteen years later and we know she was fine but man is it still hard to watch. She only came back from the broken neck a year earlier! Lita is officially a cyborg.
Iâd be remiss if I didnât mention it, but itâs a shame that the scorpion bump is sometimes the only thing people remember about this match. Whatâs important to remember about this match is that IT FUCKING RULED.
The tension was palpable from the bell, and the crowd was ready. Trish took off her face mask and used it as a weapon BECAUSE HER FACE WAS FINE AFTER ALL in a move so dastardly it caused Jim Ross to wig the fuck out on commentary. Litaâs bad bump ended up serving the match, lending a lot of weight to Trish working over Litaâs head and neck during the heat. Lita came back with a powerbomb and the rare and elusive womenâs superplex. There were a bunch of great, close nearfalls, and at this point the crowd was going insane chanting for Lita. When she finally went up and hit the redemptive, life affirming Moonsault for the win, people went APESHIT. J.R. literally screamed himself hoarse raving about Lita coming back from all that punishment and winning the belt.
A trillion and three quarter stars.
Revolution or no Revolution, this is still one of the very best womenâs matches in company history. And the perfect capper, at that point, to a rivalry that had started all the way back in 2000, and boiled over so spectacularly in 2004. I just love these women.
You can actually watch the full match on WWEâs Youtube here.
That was a lot, and yet like, I feel like I didnât even scratch the surface with Trish, or even get into half of the stuff with Kane and Lita and all of that nonsense. Iâm going to suppress the masochistic urge to dive into it that further, and come back next week to talk about another one of my favourite girls, the unfairly-maligned Divas of the world.

Q&A: Eric McCormackâs Comedic Revolution
Eric McCormack auditioned for the role of gay lawyer Will on Will & Grace without realizing the effect heâd have on closeted teenagers. âI was worried about network executives and what the gay community would think,â he says, âbut when I was thinking of the gay community, I wasnât thinking of 16 year olds.â
In 1998, when the sitcom touched down on NBC in a TV universe that was distinctly less gay, the show presented itself as farcical comedy. But by the time it ran its course, ending (or so we thought) in 2006, Will & Grace was, through sheer existence, a cultural landmark leading the way for LGBTQ inclusivity in entertainment and in the broader world.
And those â90s teenagers? âWhat has been revealed is that it was (them) sort of peeking over (their) parentsâ shoulder going, âOK, I like this show, this showâs for me,â and, âHey, if my mom likes this show then I can do this,ââ McCormack says.
Eleven years went by without Will, his roommate Grace (Debra Messing), his gay pal Jack (Sean Hayes) and Jackâs rollicking, boozed bestie, Karen (Megan Mullally). Marriage equality happened. More queer characters â trans, of color â happened. And in 2017, with Trump jabs and jokes scoffing at discriminatory cake bakers, Will & Grace returned to NBC with a new agenda for the queer-comedy revolution it once led.
Recently, McCormack, 55, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and this month, became the recipient of the Point Foundationâs Impact Award in recognition of his significant impact on the LGBTQ community. Here, the actor reflects on playing Will during a more conservative time in America, the episode NBC cut from reruns and the significance of gay actors portraying his love interests.
When you first began playing Will, how much more attention did you get from gay men?
(Laughs) Well, Iâm from the theater, so I was pretty much already gettinâ my share!
But this is national primetime television, known to the world.
(Laughs) I think that was the most interesting journey, because in the theater, all through my 20s, when I first started doing television guest spots in Toronto and Vancouver, I did a bunch of gay roles. I was a bartender at the gay bar, and I was the guy in the office who the girl thought was coming onto her â but I say, âHoney, Iâm gay.â These roles accumulated for me, and nobody else knew I was doing them. When Will finally landed for me, I didnât have to go out and do a lot of research. My best friends were gay men, I grew up in the theater. So, it was a natural extension.
But when it suddenly, as you say became ânational,â there was â yeah, you have to be careful with that (attention), though, because what happens automatically is NBC phones and says, âHey, People magazine wants to do a thing on you,â and of course People magazine always features you and your wife in the kitchen making pasta, right? Or something dopey like that. (Laughs) So within two months itâs clear (Iâm) married, but you donât want it to look like you begged People magazine to show the world that youâre straight. It couldâve backfired, and thatâs the thing Iâm always grateful for: the LGBT community couldâve just said, âEh, another one, no.â But they didnât.
Representation has evolved and shifted in the last 20 years, and now thereâs more criticism of straight actors taking on LGBTQ roles. Can you reflect on that era versus now as far as straight actors portraying LGBTQ characters?
I think the pendulum swings, and I really do think itâs project to project. I think what weâre doing with the trans community â first of all, that wasnât even an expression for most Americans five years ago, so itâs important how we handle that because a lot of Americans will go, âWell, trans is like what? He puts on a dress?â A lot of people just donât know. So, itâs important that, if there is a role that is specifically trans, we cast a trans actor so that we start to educate.
The flipside to me is that whenever someone says you were straight playing gay, I say, âWell, yeah, Neil Patrick Harris played the biggest womanizer and heâs quite openly gay, so I feel like itâs OK.â So I think if thereâs a balance, and if it happens in the right ways, if we make sure that people of color and women are represented, that weâre doing the right thing by all the communities that have needed it, then itâs great. But if we swing too far the other way, weâre starting to get to a point where I think weâre missing the forest for the trees.
Did you ever experience any pushback being a straight actor playing a gay character on TV?
There was a little. I remember Larry Kramer, who of course was such an activist in the gay community, said something and I thought, Does Larry Kramer even know what Will & Grace is? That was just amazing to me. So, I thought if anyone is gonna pushback, I guess itâd be him. But in terms of pushback from America, it didnât really happen. There were no pickets, there were no letters to NBC. I think they were very wise and eased us into the weeks on Monday and then we eased onto Tuesday, and then the next thing you know it was Thursday and we were winning an Emmy and it was OK. America actually dealt with it very well.
Do you have any real-life examples of how Will and Jack spoke to the part of America that didnât understand or werenât accepting of LGBTQ people?
The thing I always loved from the beginning: We were making a very right-down-the-middle, must-see-TV kind of show that just happened to have two gay characters. But they were not matching gay characters, and to have those two as best friends who support each other but also occasionally criticize each other, I thought that was possibly the most educational piece for Americans who didnât have a lot of gay friends.
To see how Jack would criticize Will for not being out there, for not being loud and proud, for not dating enough, and Will would â there was an episode (called âWill Works Out,â in season one) that was quite amazing where we were in the same gym and Jack was flouncing about. Will kind of mutters the âfâ word under his breath â calls him a âfagâ â and itâs something that when (Jack) says it to Grace, heâs like, âWill, whatâs the matter with you?â And Will is like, âHeâs embarrassing! He embarrasses me!â Will eventually apologies because itâs his own inability to be himself, but we tackle that. NBC stopped showing it in reruns for a while because it really was a big word to say, particularly from a character that we wanted you to love.
When the revival was announced, there were people who werenât sure what to expect from a Will & Grace in 2017 because the community had made so much progress since the showâs first iteration. Were you guys hearing the noise, and if so, how were you responding to it behind the scenes?
Most of the noise that we got came after everybody saw the piece we did for Hillary (Clinton), the 10 minutes on YouTube, which just proved it was possible for us to do this again. People generally were excited about that. Thatâs what I heard, mostly. Then, as we got closer, there were pundits saying, âHow valuable can it be in 2017?â And my response is always: It only needs to be this valuable because itâs a sitcom. Weâre not a parade that is marching in city hall and shouting. Weâre a sitcom, and we shout in our own way.
Except you were a groundbreaking sitcom, so thereâs a lot of social and political weight attached to the show.
Yeah, so: Will we live up to that in that way? Itâs like your queer uncle that was marching back in â78: Maybe he doesnât have the loud voice, maybe he canât march as fast now, but he is still just as important. And, in fact, those older gay voices â I loved that episode where Will educates (a character played by) Ben Platt (in season nine). Itâs like, âYou young gays canât take any of this for granted. This was fought for and people were beat up and died to get here so that your father and your mother could throw you a wedding with your boyfriend.â This is the result of a revolution, and so were Will and Grace and Jack and Karen.
So, I think we kind of showed up, but we didnât want to make it a victory lap, either. We wanted to make sure there was still currency, and I think the way in for that, particularly with Jack and Will, was: Whatâs life like when youâre almost 50 and youâre not the hottest guy on the block but youâre still living that life, youâre still in New York and youâve loved and lost, as they both have? And what do you want out of life? Thatâs a cool, new storyline â and, again, nobody was telling exactly that story.
The showâs first revival season in 2017 tackled politics and other hot-button issues. What topic from this current season do you most appreciate the show working in?
I think, obviously, the umbrella topic theyâre using in the ads is the idea of marriage. Jack is going to get married, and so thatâs great. We had episodes (before the revival) where I had the closest thing you could get to marriage back then with Taye Diggs, and then again with Bobby Cannavale.
I mean, to me, thatâs one of my proudest moments on the show, that I actually had a commitment ceremony in Willâs apartment with Taye Diggs, a white man and a black man, a big, long kiss. Hall & Oates performed (laughs). And it was virtually not even spoken of. This is probably season six or seven, but it barely even made the press because people were so like, âWhatever. Whoâs Will making out with this week?â But people donât remember that always. They always wanna talk about, âWell, Will is a bit sterile.â Itâs like, No, no; if you watch the show throughout, I had Patrick Dempsey, I had Bobby Cannavale. I had lots of hot guys and married a couple of them.
And if anyone has forgotten, you get with Matt Bomer this season to remind people.
Well, first of all, heâs the greatest guy. So freakinâ funny and gay, so itâs not like the old days where we get another straight guy to come in and we both act gay together. Now thereâs a bit more authenticity to it, and he was so great that I think weâll see more of Matt.
Is the dynamic different for you when your love interest is played by a gay actor?
When I think of last season, itâs three romantic moments I had and all three were with men who are actually gay and they were all Broadway guys, which was just great: Andrew Rannells and Ben Platt and Cheyenne Jackson. And yeah, for me I just loved that. Itâs a step forward, and there will always be someone from the community saying, âWell, why arenât they in bed?â And Iâll go, yeah, I know, but we still have the Ku Klux Klan. Letâs remember that this is a public network; itâs 9 oâclock, and we want young kids that havenât been able to come out to their parents to watch the show and have that parent love the show. The show was never about overtly pushing buttons. We were competing with Sex and the City where they could do anything they wanted because they were HBO. We had to do it more surreptitiously, more subtly.
Iâve seen some steamy stuff on primetime, though. I remember Desperate Housewives had a lot of bedroom scenes with that gardener.
True, but there is a difference. We are actually a four-camera sitcom, so the way that we have to get under peopleâs skin, the way that we have to be shocking is different; we have to do it with a lot of care. Weâre not callous about it. The jokes we choose, either politically or sexually, we play them throughout the week, we figure it out before we get in front of that audience, because we want to be around and we want to continue to be a voice and an example.
Sometimes all it takes is one bad decision, one bad joke, one situation that turns people off and all of a sudden weâre not in the top 20 or 30. Everything is calculated so that we can stay around and continue to be us, and itâs certainly changed in 20 years, but itâs still a country where people wonât get their cakes baked by a freakinâ baker, so itâs changed, but not as much as weâd like to hope.
Sean alluded to possibly seeing Jack and Will together, romantically, in the future. Do you see that as a possibility?
In a gay way, thatâs the Sam and Diane of it all. (Laughs) Early on, because thatâs how conservative network television was, people were thinking, âWell, maybe Will and Grace will get together, maybe sheâll fix him!â And as time went by, they started to realize thatâs not what this show is. This is not the gay-conversion comedy. But Will and Jack â itâs my favorite stuff to play. When he and I are together, we have so much fun. But we have to be careful how much we tease that out, because you do that and then thatâs a different show.
You played gay at a time when some straight male actors were told not to for the sake of their career. As a straight man auditioning for a gay role, did you or your team have any concerns?
I donât remember that being a thing. I got two scenes into reading it and I just thought, âThis is one of those shows. This is a Thursday night show. I bet they get Jim Burrows to direct it.â It just read like that, and that overpowered any fears. Plus, by that time, Iâm 35, Iâd been in the business a while, Iâd been watching Seinfeld and Friends for years â thatâs what I wanted. And I think probably the opposite happened, because I had played a number of gay roles â Iâd done drag roles â so this not only didnât scare me but it made me think, âThis is the one whose head will rise above the crowd because itâs not just Suddenly Susan or Caroline in the City; this is its own thing. Thereâs no other show like this at the moment.â And thatâs what proved to happen.
But can you still walk in heels?
(Laughs) You caught me on a good day â Iâm breakinâ in a new pair of pumps.
