*Ages of this post based on information from Jason and Tim's original runs in the 80s, as im still in the process of reading the comics and I respect original runs more anyway
Jason was 12 (pre-crisis, not contradicted) when Bruce adopted him at some point after Dick left, and Dick had left Wayne Manor for about 2 years by the time Jason died (Batman #436) making Jason 14 at death, to turn 15 that year if his birthday is August 16th
Tumblr media
Tim is 13 when he introduces himself after Jason's death (Batman #441)
Tumblr media
They have like, a 1-2 year age difference
Jason returns to life 6 months after his death, spends 1 year in the hospital, then 1 year on the streets before someone recognizes him as Robin, then 1 year with the league of assassin's before being thrown into the pit (Batman Annual #25)
A total of 3 years with Jason running on just instinct and muscle memory before being healed by the pit
Therefore, Jason, while physically older, is largely missing 3 years of his life
Jason is younger than Tim
Thank you coming to my ted talk
(Dont take this seriously please bcksbdjsnks)

cdn historian’s continued assertion that riel was insane (and therefore his actions were wrong) is… insane. because if u were 24 and actively seeing the horrors of colonialism unfold upon your homeland and you were doing everything to protect your people but there were threats being made on you literally every day from everyone from your neighbour to the fucking prime minister and ultimately you are unable to effectively stand in the way of the ceaseless march of imperialism you would probably be insane too. and anyways it’s not really any doubt that riel was mentally ill but that doesn’t mean his actions were lesser for it. i don’t care if he thought he was a prophet that god spoke through he was literally right about everything he did. sorry i am doing my weekly reading of my métis history book

Halfway through Summer and I'm only now realizing that this is the first Summer in a few years that I haven't had seasonal depression. I've actually been pretty good? Maybe it's because I'm too distracted thinking about my Belgium trip in September to be sad.
Anyway it is lovely that it's also 20 years since Summer 2004 which is the summer from my childhood that I remember the best and have the fondest memories of. At least 5-year-old me and 25-year-old me were both happy at this exact time of year, 20 years apart. It's like we're saying hello to each other across time.

hey question when did spencer's get dope as fuck
#trick question the answer is the moment that the cashier overheard us loudly reading out the monster cock names and gave us#free boobie balloons because we and i quote 'seem cool'#actually i may need to relay the whole mall experience once ive had time to process it because literally so many wild things happened#did yall know middle schoolers are still using the 'did you fall into a tacklebox' thing#and also if you refuse to shake their hand theyll short circuit and shake their own hand.#the thing with being five feet tall is that sometimes children will mistake you for one of their own and attempt bullying#which makes it about 50000x funnier when they realize youre an adult with actual problems to worry about and get awkward JEBFKSBDK#at the very least though glad to see the children are returning to their natural habitat: being menaces to adults in malls#that sounded derogatory but i promise its affectionate MENFKSHFKSBFKDN#oh also if you just Ask them their age i guess theyll be compelled to answer with the truth because theyre so blindsided by it#lil man is 13 approaching 3 adults (one of which has far more facial piercings than me but is Very Tall And Threatening so. lol)#taking 4 attempts to actually ask his tacklebox question#not helped by the fact that everyone in our group is terrible at hearing and/or hadnt heard that phrase before so we kept being like#what? what was that? speak up young man i cant understand you when you mumble#and he tried to keep it going after that but me and my friend were both like 'no:) youre done now‚ good try though:) goodbye:)'#and he. listened JEBFKSHFKSBFKSBFKDHK#just turned around and left. walked back to his friends. likely did so knowing theyd just watched him have to shake his own hand#there is something nice to think about though that i got to be a part of this kids future 'oh my god that was so embarassing' moment JSJDKSJ#origibberish

Tumblr media
The echo of dripping water resonated through the dimly lit cave, mingling with the soft hum of distant waves crashing against the rocky shore outside. The natural formation of the cave walls created a snug, sheltered alcove where a makeshift bathtub had been fashioned from smoothed stones and lined with soft moss. Small glowing crystals embedded in the rock provided a gentle, otherworldly light that bathed the cavern in a warm, ethereal glow.
You stood at the entrance of the cave, your body aching from the skirmish with the Jedi knights earlier that day. Bruises and shallow cuts adorned your skin, and your muscles protested with every movement. Qimir knelt beside the stone tub, pouring a mixture of healing herbs and soothing oils into the steaming water, the aroma of exotic alien flowers, and restorative essences filling the air.
"I think it's ready now," he said, his voice echoing softly in the enclosed space. He looked up at you with concern etched in his features. "This should help with the soreness."
You managed a weary smile, your gratitude evident despite your exhaustion. "Thank you." You simply smiled, adoring Qimir from the other side of the cave. As much as you appreciated Qimir's work and his loyalty to you, you kept your distance. Even if your heart desired the opposite.
Qimir stood up, giving you space to approach the tub. You noticed he had even placed a new robe and new clothes. Looking at them as you made your way to them, you appreciated he matched your size and taste. You felt a surge of warmth dancing in your chest as you looked at him, his unspoken admiration clear in every thoughtful gesture.
He was beautiful in the dim lit cave, the light reflecting over his sharp features. You didn't want to push him away, but you weren't comfortable taking your clothes in front of him. You didn't mind him seeing you bare, but his stare as you'd take of your clothes made you uneasy and caused a strange feeling in your stomach.
As if he could read your thoughts, which he probably did, he apologised and made his way to the corner of the cave, to make you more comfortable.
"When you're ready, let me know." his voice echoed through the cave, startling you as you carefully took of your robe and pants, gently throwing them on the ground above the tub.
With a deep breath, you stepped into the warm water, the heat instantly beginning to soothe your battered body. You closed your eyes and let out a sigh of relief as the tension started to melt away.
Behind the corner of the cave, Qimir lingered for a moment, ensuring you were under the water before he spoke again.
"May I?" he asked, tenderness in his voice. Smile creeped its way to your lips, his voice warming you more than the water around you.
You opened your eyes and gave him a small nod. "You may."
As he appeared again, he smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkling in that familiar, adorable way.
As he quietly entered the cave, the sounds of the island and the soft hum of the Force filled the space, you sank deeper into the tub. The warmth seeped into your bones, and for the first time in what felt like ages, you allowed yourself to relax, knowing you were safe and cared for in Qimir's hidden sanctuary.
Qimir slowly made his way around you to kneel down behind your back. You kept your eyes closed, dozing off in the warm water that melted your pain away. Slowly, you felt Qimir's hand reach your hair, lifting it up and gently braiding it into a small braid. As he finished your hair, he moved it to the side over your shoulder, leaving your back exposed.
"If you won't be comfortable with anything, tell me." He leaned to your ear, whispering, not wanting to startle you from your peaceful setting.
You murmured something back, too distracted by the comfort of it all. The water hugged and caressed your wounds, the chilliness of the cave and Qimir's hands slowly massaging your shoulders. You wanted to melt, and you were sure you were about to.
Qimir's fingers danced their way around your sore muscles, around your neck, and between your shoulder blades. You liked the way they made you feel relaxed and at peace, clearing your mind from intrusive thoughts. When he offered you his tub, you were sceptical at first and didn't want to listen to him. Now you were glad you did as for all the pain and soreness dissapered, melted into the water and Qimir's fingers.
You were so lost in his touch that you were unaware of the noises you began to make, Qimir's lips turning into a soft smile. He felt proud that he made you feel comfortable and safe after the rough day you went through. He secretly wanted to jump inside and enjoy the smells and hot water together, but he respected your privacy, acknowledging you weren't that familiar with each other yet.
He didn't mind. You were close to him, and that was all that mattered to him at that moment.
"Where did you learn to do this?" you asked out of nowhere, wanting to break the silence no matter how comforting it was. Qimir's voice felt way warmer.
"Friend of mine." he replied, not stopping his movements around your right shoulder blade. "She taught me a lot."
A small sting of jealousy ran through your heart as he mentioned the unknown being. You felt ridiculous. He was obviously very charming, and it would be stupid to think he didn't share himself with anyone over his life.
"She died a long time ago," he added, sensing the tension forming around you. If Qimir's hands didn't hold you in place, you'd sink yourself under the water.
"I'm sorry," you whispered, his hands now around your neck, sending shivers down your spine. You didn't hear him answer, and the urge to turn around and apologise again grew stronger with every passing second.
"You mentioned your arms hurting too," he spoke, changing the conversation. "Do you want me to take a look?" he stopped massaging your neck, but his hands never left your skin, letting them rest on your shoulder.
"If it won't bother you," you replied quietly, staring at your feet below the water.
"I wouldn't ask if it did," you heard him smile, his fingers moving in slow circles on your skin.
"You can jump in while you do it." You didn't know what magical force let you say your thoughts out loud, but it was too late. You felt redness overtake your face as the silence kept stretching.
"Do you want me to?" Qimir wanted to make sure he heard you right before stripping himself.
"I want you to fix my arms." You coughed, hoping he didn't marge into your head and read your thoughts as he pleased to do many times before.
You wanted to speak again as another silence took over, but Qimir's hands leaving your shoulders and the sound of his clothes dropping right next to yours shut you up.
At the moment you saw his bare ankles next to you, you dropped your gaze down, nervously playing with your hands below the water. You heard a splash when Qimir sinked into the water, the close proximity melting your thoughts away. You dared to look up at him, choking on the air.
His jawline and high cheekbones prominent in the light, his two small pigtails on the opposite side of his head exposing his forehead and sharp eyes. He was one of the most beautiful men you've ever seen and no matter how cliche it sounded in your head, you didn't dare to deny it.
His chest glittered as the droplets found his way around him, the water reaching to his hips. He was ethereal.
You notice a small smirk on his lips as he lets you brush your stare on him before reaching out for your arm underwater, his eyes never leaving yours. He could have dropped his gaze and look down. He would easily see through the water, but he didn't. Instead, he admired your face, his fingers dancing its way around your arm to find the tense muscles.
"What is your mask made of?" You genuinely wondered, wanting to ask since you saw it deactivate lightsabers. You watched him now concentrating on fixing your arm, his fingers moving in sharp but tender movements.
"Cortosis," his voice low and raspy, his presence intoxicating. He radiated warmth, beating the hot bath he prepared for you. "Like the one we used as younglings." he explained further, his hand reaching your bicep, making him move closer to you. If you'd extend your hand, you wouldn't be able to stretch it fully before meeting Qimir's chest. The proximity and soft touch drove you crazy.
"So it's just you and the Force," you added before he could finish his further explanation. Despite staring at his hands, you didn't miss the acknowledging look he gave you.
"And whatever you bring with you." he whispered, nodding his head, his eyes falling back to your arm. When he finished your right hand, he reached out for your left, but before he could do so, you hid both of your arms behind your back, looking up at him with amusement playing on your lips.
"And what do you bring there with you?" you wondered, your gaze dancing between his lips and his black eyes. His half lidded eyes made you switch position so you could press your legs together. He didn't miss it even tho he acted like he did.
"My partner, I hope." he tilted his head, trying to read your expression. Nodding, acknowledging his answer, you didn't move. You let your eyes drop to his chest, around his nipples, fown to his abdomen. And back up.
Nervously, you played with your fingers behind your back as the silence took its place again. But this time, it was different. The awkwardness vanished, and something else took over.
"Have you found one yet?" Your mind traced back to the person he mentioned a few minutes back, wondering if she was his partner and he lost her. Or maybe he never found one, forever wondering for someone to fill his soul.
"I think I may have." he replied, moving slowly towards you, the water hugging his torso. "But I'm not sure if the person found me."
He was right in front of you. You could swallow his breath. His deep, longing eyesz scanning yours, his lips partially opened. His hair loosened up, falling over his forehead.
"She did," you whispered back, letting his hand caress your cheek before meeting his lips with yours. The softness of his lips made your knees betray you, but his arms were there to catch you. Your hands moved from your back to rest against his chest, feeling his soft glow skin. Your fingers drew shapes around his scars, wanting to love and learn every single one. His arms wrapped around you tightly, bringing you even closer to him. Wanting to feel every inch of you.
Candles flickered around the cave, casting a soft, golden glow that danced with the shadows. The fragrance of the candles mingles with the warmth of the water, creating an atmosphere of serene tranquility.
You leaned back, enveloped by the soothing embrace of the water and Qimir's arms around you. His chest is firm and reassuring, his lips soft and sweet as you imagined clouds would feel. You felt his steady heartbeat, a reminder of their presence and yearning.
In that moment, all pain and worries melted away, replaced by a profound sense of peace and security. Qimir's arms were your sanctuary, always ready to catch you when you stumbled and to hold you when you needed it most.
The feeling was a blend of love and ecstasy, as if every touch and whispered word from Qimir's lips was a promise of unwavering yearning and affection. The chill in the air around you only enhanced the cozy, intimate warmth you shared, making this moment all the more precious.
You closed your eyes, surrendering to the blissful combination of the hot bath, the ambient candlelight, and the tender embrace of Qimir's lips. In his arms, you didn't find just comfort, but a profound, soulful connection that filled you with an enduring sense of peace and love.

I really loved your scenario of The Justice League AND The Ill reader,Lmao, poor reader they only need a rest.
Anyway, ever since I read the first part I was thinking about the kids, you know, the League Sidekicks, obviously The Reader knows them, due to work (I can really imagine Batman introducing His kids to the Reader to force a bond , And obviously The rest of The League does the same) So I had the headcanon that the reader really likes the children, they talk to them after missions, sometimes they buy them some gifts for their birthdays, they listen to them when they complain about their father figures (Therapist Reader), etc. But at the same time I can imagine The Reader being totally uncomfortable with his parents, so I can't help but think of a scenario in which The Reader is talking to the League kids in a good mood, but the League members walk in. to the room (They obviously saw the Happy Reader, so they want to gain some advantage) And The Reader just turns off, goes into business mode and is curt as always with the league, and when he finishes talking to the league, he goes back to talking to the children and their mood is happy again. Man I would love to see the league's reaction to the obvious reader favoritism
PD:I really love your work, you are amazing
Pd2:If The kids are yandere, ITS UP to you

A Week in Life: Take Your Kid to Work Day
Synopsis: A week in your life where you get a lot of new little friends, even if you know something’s sketchy about it.
Pairing: Yandere!Justice League X Assistant!Gn!Reader; Platonic!Yanderes! Robin (Dick), Superboy (Konner), Miss Martian, Kid Flash (Wally) and Aqualad (Kaldur'ahm)
Tw: A single implication about Hal’s past dub/non con incidente (blink and you miss it); Implied emotional manipulation, I guess? Justice League using kids as a manipulation tactic; A little angst, I think we all hate how Superman treated Conner, so I added that, so technically not a healthy relationship between them here, could be interpreted as Superman manipulating him or Superboy trying too hard to make his bio-dad like him; The kid’s ages are definitely not accurate canon wise, but what is canon anyway? I mixed their personalities and origins from Young Justice (along with their age gap) and for Superboy it was mainly the animated movie Reign of the Supermen; English is not my 1st language.
Word count: 3,3k
Requested? More than once.
Extra notes: Dick is 10, Kaldur'ahm, Conner, Megan and Wally are 13. I wish I knew more about the Wonder Girls to write about one of them, I felt bad for not adding them, but I would’ve felt worse writing for a character I have no idea how to write.
General masterlist | A Day in Life - Series masterlist
— I wasn't aware that there was a Take Your Kid to Work Day on schedule... — You said in a surprised, maybe taken aback, tone, if not a little strangled and sarcastic, even if a little happy. You rubbed your forehead, you knew your hunch was right…
Monday…
You’ve heard the rumors Gotham media was spreading for months now, you even asked Batman if you should prepare the marketing team in case of an emergency, he denied everything.
So why was it that now you were staring at a 10 year old dressed as a traffic light?
— Miss/Mister/Mx (Y/N)... I’m hungry… — Worst of all? The kid was cute.
You smile in a friendly manner.
— Okay, okay. Just give me a second, buddy, I need to talk to your… Dad…?! — You just now realized you didn't know their actual relationship. Batman only told you his name was Robin, that he was his partner, and that he was in the watchtower to observe. You didn't know superheroes accepted 10 year old interns, but whatever. The kid just stared blankly at you, not giving an actual answer to if you got your assumption right.
— Can I go with you? — Robin fiddled with his fingers. So cute. You nodded with a small smile. The kid jumped off his too big chair and ran towards you, surprising you by taking your hand. He had small hands. So cute.
You walked slowly, to accommodate to his height, in the direction of the door to the briefing room, where Batman was talking to John Stewart. This other Green Lantern was a breath of fresh air. The other one (the one who shouldn't be named) was away, working on another district of the universe since that whole… Less-than-consensual situation. You were happy and surprised when the League didn't just brush it off, and even compensated you for it, alongside making him go away. He either agreed to that, or caused the 3rd World War against the Justice League. It was a temporary predicament, but happier nonetheless, since John wasn't obsessed with you, unlike the rest of them, and easy to work with.
You cleared your throat so they would turn to you.
— Does Robin have any restrictions? He said he's hungry so I'm gonna take him to the kitchen. — You said politely. Batman shook his head.
— Just don't give him sugar. He needs to sleep before patrol tonight. — You raised your eyebrows in surprise and nodded your head. Batman looked at the boy. — Behave, chum. — You blinked, Robin nodded solemnly.
As you walked in the direction of the kitchen, the kid showed to be very happy and talkative. You were surprised, considering who his dad was, but it warmed your heart. At least it seemed he wasn't mistreated.
At some point, he let your hand go and started cartwheeling and doing acrobatics all the way there to show off his abilities to you. You gasped and clapped, praising his talent along with other workers from the crew who were passing the hall. You were slightly worried that he would fall and get hurt, but the kid was really confident in what he was doing (but they always are, until they fall).
When you got there, you were impressed that he wasn't even the slightest out of breath.
— Do you have games on your phone? — He asked, sitting down on a table while you rummaged the fridge for some sandwiches or any healthy snack, since you didn't know how his home diet was, but guessing by his build, which was a lot more athletic than kids his age are, he was probably pretty healthy. Son of the Bat.
— Hmm, I have Dress to Impress, Pou and Candy Crush.
— What is Pou? — Your heart panged and you sighed, feeling old.
— When were you born? 2010? — You walked towards him and settled a plate with a sandwich in front of him, before pouring a cup of juice.
— 2014. — Your mouth dropped, speechless. — Wait, so not even Stardew Valley? — You cleared your throat and shook your head, sitting beside him, while he started eating.
— Wait, can I even let you play? Does Batman let you have screen time? — He nodded.
— I have a phone. I just couldn't bring it with me today… He said he would show me around the tower, but he got busy with work… — He deflated a little at the end of the sentence, your heart broke. — Anyway… He told me I could distract myself. I just need your permission. — You bite your lip.
— Okay. How about we go to the recreational room and you can play some videogames while I work from the computer. — Robin nodded eagerly.
— Damn, you can't even play with me? Working sucks. That must be why adults are so boring. — You took a napkin and cleaned some food from his cheek.
— It's not that bad… You can do whatever you want. — He perked up.
— I guess so… — He looked you up and down. You prepared yourself for one of those moments where kids are so blunt that they don't know they could offend someone. — But you're not boring, (Y/N), you're cool. Must be why daddy likes you so much. And he doesn't like no one.
Tuesday…
Wow, what a weird coincidence. Just yesterday Batman brought his kid, and now Martian Manhunter brought his niece.
Miss Martian looked older than Robin, but again, she was a martian, her appearance was shifted to whatever she wanted to look like. All you knew was that she was young and new on Earth.
Right now, she looked very human. She had freckles and auburn hair. The only thing that made her stand out was the green of her skin.
When she presented herself to you, you got startled by her voice in your head, but you and Martian Manhunter softly explained to her that on Earth people didn't communicate through their minds, and it was kinda like an invasion of privacy. Kinda funny hearing him say that, but whatever.
Like Batman the day prior, Martian trusted the girl in your hands. So many coincidences, right?!
— So, honey, how old are you?
— Oh, on my home planet I should be about 39. But converting to Earth years, I’m 13. — She said with a shy but friendly smile, you smiled back.
— You’re pretty young then. How are you settling on Earth? Planning to go to school maybe? — She nodded.
— I just started the school year… I wasn't too sure about that, but my uncle said it would be good to learn human behaviors. — You nodded.
— American school is nice, I recommend you should take part in clubs. And don't feel pressured to make a billion friends. It's better to have one good friend, instead of 10 people you know but can't rely on. — She nodded, biting her lip.
— I already know some of the other sidekicks, I just don't have any civilian friends… I was thinking about joining the cheerleading team. — You gasped, excited.
— Oh, that's really good! I always wanted to join, but was never the sporty type. You’re sweet, I think that already gives you some points. — Her green cheeks got darker.
— You think so?! — Her voice got louder with excitement.
— Of course! Now let me give you some tips about the jocks, honey…
Wednesday…
Today, Flash brought Kid Flash. You haven't met him until now. The sequence of days the older heroes brought in their sidekicks was starting to look weird… But not that weird. Batman said he would give Robin a tour but became unavailable. Manhunter wanted Miss Martian to meet civilian people and have a good role model — you don't know why he decided that that role model should be you, but it made sense, so… —. Flash Said they would spend the day using the lab to experiment some more on Kid Flash’s still recently acquired powers. So. Coincidences, right?
The boy was 13 too, he had messy red hair and green eyes. Flash didn't specify their relationship, but their personalities definitely matched a little. Both a little hyperiperactive and smiley. Although that could be more of a speedster thing, especially the first part.
Like promised, they spent half that day on the lab, occasionally calling you for snack breaks. However, at some point, Flash gave an excuse and left you with the kid.
Huh.
— Sooo, what do you do around here? — Kid Flash asked, spinning around in a chair he found somewhere and rolled to the middle of your office in the blink of an eye. You half-smiled. It was nice not being crowded by those weirdos and being around fresh and youthful people, but it was starting to feel weird.
— I plan schedule appointments, organize team meetings, prepare agendas and itineraries, book meals and travel arrangements, handle record keeping and documentation, and make sure a project stays on budget. — The ginger blinked and stopped spinning.
— Uhh, you went to college for that? — You blinked.
— I did, why? — He chuckled slightly.
— Nothing, it's cool, sounds boring, though. — You nodded.
— What do you want to work with? — He looked to the side, thoughtful for a moment.
— I think I want to be a scientist.
— Oh really?
— Yeah, I like physics, mechanics and a little bit of chemistry. — You smirked.
— Chemistry? Sounds boring. — Kidflash froze for a second, wide-eyed, then relaxed and started laughing loudly. His chuckling prompted you to chuckle alongside him.
He used his feet to push the chair around your table and stopped at your side.
— Hey, can I see how much people get paid here? If I'm gonna be a member of the League one day, might as well optimize time and just work here. — You slapped his hands away when he reached for your computer, he pouted.
— Wouldn't that make it difficult to keep your secret identity hidden?! — Kid Flash stretched his arm, then draped it across your shoulders, you lifted an eyebrow.
— Babe. I'm a superhero. I could change clothes really fast right now and you wouldn't even notice. — You scoffed and lightly pushed him and his chair away.
— A phone booth would be more appropriate for that.
— What's a phone booth?
Thursday…
Superman brought Superboy.
Why the fuck are they doing that, bro?
You didn't even know they were close! Sure, Superboy is Superman and Lex Luthor’s clone, the whole world knew that, and that Superboy took to Superman's side. But they were never seen together, unlike Flash and Kid Flash, or Batman and Robin, for example.
Worst of all? It looked like the mood between them was… Weary. Especially on Superman’s part. Did he not trust Superboy? You could understand that… But look at his puppy sad face!
And not even five minutes later, Superman just flew away, saying something about a hurricane in Texas, AND SUPERBOY STAYED!
The silence was awkward for a few seconds. You thought back to the personality he showed when he was first announced by LexCorp, when Superman was considered dead. He was all over the media (Lex’s marketing team was good) with his charisma and flirty personality. Although he kept the leather jacket, his quietness surprised you.
You cleared your throat.

— So… Are you hungry? Wanna play videogames? — You grimaced slightly. He looked at you again, a little hesitant.
— Uh… I think so? — He blinked. — You guys have videogames here?! — He exclaimed, surprised. You chuckled.
— Oh yeah, for such a serious and stern guy, Batman really invested in the work environment. — You chuckled together, walking towards the recreational area.
You were curious about the earlier weird vibe, but didn't want to prod.
At first, you just let the boy play by himself, just sitting beside him and working while talking, that was until he paused the game between missions and stretched, then looked at you.
— Are you guys involved? — You looked at him with your eyebrows raised.
— You guys…? — He pursed his lips.
— You and Superman. — You grimaced slightly.
— Oh no, he's my boss, and not my type at all. — He nodded, looking pensive.
— He likes you. — You kept a blank expression, waiting for him to continue. — I like you too, so I can imagine why he likes you. — You stared at him, exasperated. He widened his eyes. — Not like that! — He raised his hands to deny. — It's just- I feel comfortable with you. I felt comfortable with some of his friends before, I didn't even know why, but I think it's because half of me is from him. Like I have some things from Lex since I was… Born… — He looked to the ground for a second, pouting lightly. — That's why Superman doesn't like me. — You widened your eyes.
— I'm sure he likes you! — Superboy looked at you like he didn't believe you.
— No, it's okay… He's polite, I guess. And took me in as his family, just not… As his son… More like a brother, or… A cousin… I mean, I can understand, I'm basically a hate baby, created by his biggest enemy to outdo and destroy him… — You shook your head.
You didn't know what to say, since you didn't know how their dynamic was like.
— H-He brought you here to spend time with you, didn't he? He just had an emergency to take care of… — He looked to the ground and then at you again. He didn't have the heart to tell you that's the first time they ever “hung out”, and that his genius brain clocked hours ago that Superman's plan was to create a connection between you both by orchestrating a connection with you and him. He also didn't want to bad mouth Clark. A part of him always would have hope that Superman would want to be closer to him one day.
Superboy looked at the clock and then at you.
— Don't you have a break? I can hear your stomach, I'm hungry too.
Friday…
This madness has to stop now.
— Nice to meet you, Aqualad. — You nodded at the boy with a small smile. You were a little mesmerized by his exotic appearance. He had brown skin, blonde hair in braids (where are his roots?) and blue eyes. His arms were also covered in tattoos that you knew had something to do with his abilities.
— I was showing him around the Watchtower, but now I have a meeting with Wonder Woman, why don't you two hang out for a while? — Aquaman, always the most obnoxious one. Their intentions were 100% clear now.
Aquaman didn't let you say anything else and left the room with said hero. You heard her murmur something about having to find her own apprentice to bring to the watchtower as soon as possible.
You looked at the boy, not knowing what to say.
— Have you ever been to Atlantis? — He surprised you by speaking first, his tone was gentle, if not a little monotonous, but he looked at you with interest.
— Uhhh, no? I’m not that good of a swimmer and I can't breathe underwater. — Aqualad smirked lightly.
— You wouldn't need to worry about breathing, there are multiple ways for humans to do that, from magic to technology. As for swimming… I'm sure we can find some sort of solution for that, also. And I doubt my king would be opposed to the idea of teaching you. — You nodded slowly. So much for subtly.
— … My vitamin D is low enough as it is, I’d rather stay on land, no offense. — The atlantean opened his mouth to speak but you beat him to it. — Aqualad! Do you like the food here? I've always been curious about your culture’s cuisine…
You kept talking for hours, eventually, Aqualad and you ended up in the training room, he offered to show you a little of his control over water bodies, and you, still a little fascinated over the convivence with superheroes, and this being the second time you met someone from Atlantis, accepted eagerly.
— This is just like H2O… — Kauldur’ahm blinked.
— It is water… — The boy confirmed, hesitantly. You laughed.
— No, no, not water. It's a TV show, it's about mermaids. I guess it isn't exactly accurate, but they can control water, just like you! — He nodded, slowly, contemplating. You looked at your watch, noticing your lunch time was due. You looked at him, shyly. — If you're up for it, we could watch it now… — That seemed to make him perk up a little and he nodded quickly.
— I would like to.
Monday…
— I wasn't aware that there was a Take Your Kid to Work Day on schedule... — You said in a surprised, maybe taken aback, tone, if not a little strangled and sarcastic, even if a little happy. You rubbed your forehead, you knew your hunch was right…
There they were, in the meeting room, all seated around the big roundtable, almost double the number of people who usually sit there.
Now, the food order they made, made sense.
You pushed the food cart forward, one for Flash. You came back and pushed another one, this one for Kid Flash, you ruffled his hair. Then, you walked back and pushed the 3rd food cart around the table, delivering each meal for each hero.
— Steak for Green Lantern. One black coffee for Batman. One meat sandwich and chocolate milk for Robin. — You squeezed his cheek. He smiled brightly at you. — Toast for Martian Manhunter and a slice of strawberry cake for Missy Miss Martian. — As you put the plate in front of her, you whispered that you wanted to know how the cheerleading team was going. She nodded happily. — A burger with fries for Aquaman, a smoothie and salad for Aqualad. Oh, did you change your hair? I like it! — You smiled brightly at the boy and his cheeks burned, he nodded. — Ice cream for Wonder Woman. Another burger and fries for Superman and another for Superboy. I see you followed my advice, your style really matches with those piercings. Tell me how you did it later. — You laughed carelessly and went to the door. — Need me for something more? — Your bosses shook their heads, stunned. You left and closed the door.
— Can't believe you guys actually did it… — John shook his head, disappointed at his teammates.
— I knew it would work. — Batman said, sipping from his drink.
— That's why we stole your idea when we knew about it. — Aquaman chuckled.
— I really need to find a sidekick. — Diana huffed.
Batman turned to Robin.
— You did a good job, chum. — Dick chuckled.
— Yeah, I even asked for a sandwich without the crust. Now (Y/N) think I'm the cutest here. — He smirked smugly. Wally scoffed.
— Yeah, right. She totally doesn't think you're an annoying kid. — The duo stared at each other. — I, for example, made them laugh. — The redhead puffed his chest proudly.
— Are you sure it wasn’t a pity laugh?! — Superboy snorted at Robin’s retort.
— Although Robin might be physically more adorable, and Kid Flash, in his words, made them laugh. (Y/N) and I started a TV show together, my king. — Aquaman nodded at his apprentice’s words.
— You did a good job.
— But (Y/N) actually said they wanted to talk to me later! That usually oficializes human’s friendships! — Megan said, softly.
— They said the same to me, the other day. That I could talk to them whenever I wanted… — Superman looked at Superboy, surprised. He felt awkward praising him, so he just nodded his head and looked away. Superboy pouted slightly.
— Because you told them your sob story, now they think you're a loser. — Conner glared at Dick. — Their physical language showed that they loved me, B! I honestly deserve an Oscar after that performance! They're gonna be ours before you suckers know it!
As a screaming match raised inside the room, the adult heroes looked at each other, lost for words, not only had the kids gotten you roped a bazillion times faster then they could ever dream, but also you were so amazing that they were enamored with you too.

Sam's toxic relationship with Danny.
Alright, so, in Double Cross My Heart we all know Sam gets a new crush and Danny becomes jealous. But, after watching this episode for the umpteenth time, I really don't think he was jealous, he was just being overprotective as always (13).
Moving on, there was something about Gregor I noticed from the get-go and why I think Sam just fell for him on-sight, anyone want to take a guess?
Tumblr media
Well, let's see, he's tan, wearing black and white, has white hair, and green eyes (he takes his sunglasses off at the end of the episode). Any of these attributes sound, I dunno, familiar?
Do I think this was intentional? Yes, but not from his end, he had no idea Sam has a crush on Phantom, and yes I mean Phantom. Why?
Tumblr media
This is when Sam's crush on Danny actually started, this moment here. No not earlier in the episode when they're holding hands, she and Danny do blush but it's because they're in an awkward situation, not because 'oh no I'm touching my crush's hands'. Sam doesn't show any actual interest in Danny in any episode prior to this, sure she and Danny are dancing together at the freshman dance (parental bonding) but there's no romance underlying the scene, it's just two friends dancing platonically, Danny even says he wish he took her just because she wanted to go.
Do I think Sam even knows she has a crush on Phantom and not Danny? No, she's 14, she wouldn't understand that. Why do I think that? Well it's just the way she treats Danny as Danny and not as Phantom, when Danny does regular teenage boy stuff she gets all angry and annoyed by him and Tucker, but when it comes to the ghost stuff she's not as bad about it. I get she's trying to get him to be more mature etc, but he's 14 xD let him be 14.
Then there's Memory Blank, remember how she just straight up gets called out for her causing issues with Danny and just not apologising for any of it? She apologises for the fight, not for what she's done, and Danny just rolls over. It's insane. "Welcome to my world, remember? We should make the menu recyclo-vegetarian! We should let the gorilla out! We should sell all of your dad’s stuff at a garage sale!" "Anything else you want to blame me for? The ice age? Puberty?" "Sam, both monsters knew your name. Either there’s another Sam involved in ghost fighting-- or it’s you." "How about a “thank you”, huh?"
She never actually apologises for any of that tbh, even in this episode she had a go at Danny for beating up the possessed cow balloon and not for haunting the Truck Dealership place. Y'know, he does mature superhero things and she's like "yeah but my agenda", Sam has a tendency to only be mad at Danny for abusing his ghost powers if it doesn't give her perks.
Killer Garage Sale: Danny gains popularity, Sam is ugh. Splitting Images (the NEXT episode): Danny (who's possessed and Tucker even states Danny's acting weird) gains popularity, Sam ignores Tucker's observation and jumps on Danny's popularity to save the frogs.
I feel like the two finally getting together was only because of Elmer's initial plan, but in-universe they only got together because every other character insisted on it. Sam only has the Class Ring because Valerie dumped him and the only reason it has her name in it is because of Jack, Danny never actually gave it to her.
Alright, gonna jump all the way to Frightmare now because I think, even subconsciously, Danny just doesn't have any real feelings for Sam. Why?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because this happens. In order to wake up from Frightmare's dream helmet things, you need to have a shock in their dream, or basically a nightmare. So Danny's dream was basically perfect up until Danny was confronted with what he thinks is what he wants, yet he wakes up in distress over it. Then there's Sam's dream, which is identical, but Sam wouldn't have woken up from the kiss, it took this to snap her out of it.
Tumblr media
Which feels... Kind of telling to me. Sam's perfect dream was happening and she would have remained asleep, but Danny's exact same dream was happening and he woke up. Our subconciouses are basically our thoughts and feelings in their purest form, the way how you feel about something will be very apparent in an instant.
Ok, last episode I'm gonna talk about it, ugh, Phantom Planet. I know, I know, the writing in this episode was so messed up, but the one thing it did get consistent was Sam's character in this. I'm just going to take her last line in the show, which also happens to be the last line in the show, period. "Why not? Cool statue. Personally I would have made it out of recycled materials but, you know, that's just me." Honey, your boyfriend just saved the entire planet and you're going to take the time to complain about his statue??? Like... C'mon Sam... Anyway, yeah, there's a lot more I could say about this btw, but I think I'm done here. Personally, I think if Paulina and Danny wound up together I don't think it'd be as toxic as one with Sam's currently is. "But she only loves Phantom", yeah, but also she's never mean to Danny on her own, she's only mean to him in front of her friends and to Sam to piss her off. She always singles Danny out from his 'loser friends'. Weird huh? ((Just know I'm not saying I ship Paulina with Danny, just that she's actually not as bad as people think she is to him, she's a lot less mean to him than Sam is tbh, you can probably guess who I think is the better person for Danny xD)).
So yeah, I feel like after some time Danny's relationship with Sam would dwindle and eventually end, they'd still be friends, but just that.
I'll end it there.
EDIT: I also forgot about this.
Danny spies on Sam with Gregor because he’s worried Gregor’s with the GIW and doesn’t want Sam to get hurt, Sam gets mad at him for spying on her whilst on a date.
But when both Sam and Tucker spy on him and Valerie because they’re worried Valerie might waste him as Danny Phantom (Sam also has some very blatant jealousy spikes) everything is ok???
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don’t think Danny gets upset that Sam and Gregor kiss because he’s jealous either, I think it’s because either: A) he’s realising he might be wrong, B) he’s worried that if he’s right Sam’ll be heartbroken. If he was jealous he wouldn’t have been suddenly ok with Gregor after stopping the GIW from attacking him, he even apologised to Sam for the spying, Sam and Tucker never did ouo
When Danny goes on to say there’s many reasons to want to date Sam, again, only Sam blushes here, Danny just plays it off and doesn’t blush at all. He was just being a good friend and making her feel better, not saying he would date her. He’s 14, he doesn’t know you can platonically call someone pretty.
Let’s not forget Danny’s feelings for Valerie haven’t gone anywhere yet, the episode (double cross your heart) literally starts like this.

Kinktober Day 13: Size - Tutor!Miguel x AFAB!Reader 🎃
Tumblr media
can you tell i hate my math class this sem ?? :D
CW: unspecified age gap (reader is in college miguel is in grad school), trauma inducing stats vocabulary, piv (unprotected don’t be stupid), creampie (don’t be stupid), mean miguel, harsh grabbing, fingering (kinda), finger sucking, general size difference.
18+ MDNI
It was getting late, you and your roommates Machi and Gale having dinner with you. You huffed, slumping in the chair you sat on.
“This is such bullshit, I’ve been stuck on this problem for like half an hour already. Nothing’s clicking.” You pushed your dinner aside and looked at Gale for reassurance. She tilted her head at you with a raised brow.
“Girl, you know damn well I’m not getting it either. Just call it quits for tonight, it's not due for another two days.” She said, sipping a chilled can of coke.
“Oh, come on. Neither of us are understanding this shit. I mean, this symbol looks like a backwards three! I miss when math used to just have numbers,” you complained, squinting at the statistics homework in front of you.
“That looks ridiculous,” Machi laughed. “Never have I been more glad to be an arts major.” She said, getting up to put her dish away.
“If it bothers you that much, why don’t you just visit the tutoring lab? I think they’re still open.” Gale said, grabbing your dish and following Machi to the sink.
“Really?” You asked, checking your watch. 8 pm.
“Hey, we pay thousands of dollars in tuition, okay? If they can’t stay open or help when students need it what's the point in taking all that money from us?” Gale shrugged. You sighed, standing up from your chair.
“Well, I guess I better get moving if I want to make it to the tutoring center before 10. Let me know if you guys need anything while I’m out.” You grabbed your keys and left the apartment after grabbing your bag and slipping your shoes back on.
_____________________________________________________
You arrived at the building, glass doors sliding open as you walked through them, the cold air conditioning giving you goosebumps. You walked over to the sign in sheet, looking through available tutors for the next hour or so.
“Crap…” You sighed, looking through the sheets. It seemed like you needed an appointment before hand, at least electronically.
There was the sound of laughter down the hall, you turned your head towards the sound. There was a much larger man along with a guy who seemed about your age. You recognized the shorter individual from your statistics class.
“Well, I’m glad we could get your problem figured out.” The tall man said, a big hand patting the younger guy's back heavily.
“Yeah, it only took us all night.” More laughter.
“Hey, if its due in two days all night is nothing.” The tall, tanned man said. He was massive, you could practically see his muscles bulging underneath his white buttoned shirt. His chocolate hair slicked back, a few strands messily framing his face. You were in a trance when his almost red eyes met yours. You felt your face flush.
“U-Uh, Hey! You’re in my statistics class arent you?” You asked the shorter guy, desperately avoiding the older mans gaze. The shorter guy said your name questioningly, you nodded.
“Yeah, thats me.” You said, clutching your bag tighter. “So… you got help with the homework?” You asked, motioning to the taller man.
“Oh yeah, this is Miguel.” He said, patting Miguels back.
“Hi, nice to meet you.” You said, grabbing his large hand and shaking it. You felt your palms become sweatier, his hand practically enveloping yours. “I didn’t see your name under the statistics sign up sheet.” You said, voice almost trembling.
“Well as a grad student my major is scientific research so that's why I’m not under statistics.” He said, a slight smirk across his face, his grip on your hand becoming tighter.
“O-oh,” you said softly.
“But I use statistics in almost everything I do, so I can help out with any problems you’ve got if you need it.”
“Miguel’s not a bad tutor, it only took us so long to finish cause I haven’t shown up to class in weeks.” Your classmate laughed. “I’ve got to get out of here but thanks for your help, man.” He waved before walking out the sliding doors into the dark night.
You and Miguel turned to each other, you suddenly felt very nervous.
“So… Would you… tutor me?” You asked, rubbing your arms for warmth.
“Well, it's not quite 10 yet and I don’t have any other sign-ups, so why not?” He shrugged, walking down the hall with you following after him.
You two walked down the hall, reaching a small study room at the end of it.
“This is the room I reserved for the night, so don’t worry about anyone coming in here super late and trying to steal it from us.” He said, opening it up for you to walk through.
You walked into the room, a table with a few chairs in the center with a whiteboard behind it. It seemed fine to you as you walked in, sitting down on a chair, slightly taken aback when it rolled underneath your weight. You looked down and noticed wheels at the feet of the chair. You looked up again when you heard the door shut, Miguel locking it behind him.
_______________________________________________
“And that's why your z score is going to be 20.99. Does that make sense?” He asked. You were fucked.
The whole time you were supposed to be paying attention you were completely distracted by his being. He sat next to you, his large frame practically caging you in between him and the desk. He was everywhere, and if you weren’t staring directly at the paper, you were scared you were going to faint. You nodded, eyes looking down at the problem, refusing to tear away from the mathematical mess you made.
“Yeah…”
“Then tell me how you got it.” He said, deep voice rumbling in his big chest.
“Well, first you uh…” You circled a random number in the world problem then looked up at him with helpless eyes. He raised a brow.
“You start with the standard deviation?” He asked, clearly unamused.
“Well… You definitely use it somewhere…” You said half joking. Miguel was still unamused. He sighed deeply, throwing his head into his hand.
“I’ll explain it one more time, okay?” He said, grabbing the pencil from your hand. His hand brushed against yours and held your pencil as if it were a toothpick to him. “So, we’ve identified the mew, right?” He asked, underlining the foreign symbol.
“Yeah…” You said, asking yourself what the fuck is a mew?
You were determined to stay focused but that man made it difficult. You turned to look at him while his eyes were fixed onto the paper, scribbling out equations and typing into your calculator- which he also made look puny in his grasp. You watched him as he spoke, the way his soft lips moved as he talked, revealing sharp canines every now and then between words. You felt your face flush, entranced by his presence. You eyed his large shoulders, following them down to his massive arms. You looked back up at his face, admiring his features while he was so deep in thought. He looked down at you.
“So now we just divide and… hey?” he said almost harshly. “Are you paying attention?” He asked in a snarky tone. You felt your face drop.
“I… um…”
“Distracted again?” He tossed the pencil onto the surface of the table, muscular arms crossing as he almost glared at you.
“I’m sorry.” You felt exhausted, covering your face with your hands in defeat. You felt like crying.
“Maybe if you weren’t so focused on undressing me with your eyes and more focused on these problems, you’d understand this shit by now.” He grunted. You stilled, face buried deep into your palms before you peered at him through between your fingertips.
“W…What?” You asked, looking at his almost red eyes.
“I said what I said.” Miguel's voice was low, he grabbed your seat and pulled it towards him, the wheels moving you with ease. You felt your core tighten, as your face continued to burn hot, regardless of the air conditioning.
Miguel's eyes practically violated you, staring deep past your own and into your soul before looking you up and down, clearly enjoying how you cowered.
“That pretty little head not used to thinking this hard?” he asked low in your ear. You shuddered, hairs on the back of your neck standing at attention. “Pathetic.”
He grabbed your waist with his large hands, daring to crush you between his palms. He slowly stood up from his chair, face inches away from yours. You took that as invitation enough and crashed your lips into his, those soft lips felt even better than you imagined, a whimper escaping your lips as his grip increased. He pulled you off of the chair and slammed you onto the table, papers flying and pens scattering around you. You let out a grunt as the air escaped your lungs from the impact.
“I’m taking time out of my night to try and teach you this shit and you can't even meet me halfway and try to learn it?” He huffs yanking down your frumpy sweats to your ankles. You kicked them off, laying on the table in your tight shirt and panties.
“I-I’m sorry, you're just so-” he cut you off with two thick fingers plunging into your mouth, you gagged when they hit the back of your throat. He smirked, watching you drag your tongue around the knuckles of his fingers.
“That ought to shut you up.” He ran a finger from his other hand to your clothed cunt, you moaned around his thick digits when he caressed your clit. Your hips moved on their own accord, grinding against his large hand. “Would you look at that? I didn’t know they accepted whores into this school.” Miguel hummed, voice smooth like honey and deep like an ocean.
His single finger moved to where your pussy and thigh met, yanking aside your black cotton panties to reveal your wet cunt, which clenched around nothing at the sudden cold air.
“Jesus… I bet you were thinking about this all night, huh?” Miguel teased, the calloused tip of his finger just barely grazing along your seeping hole, spreading the warm slick higher and higher up your folds until he could smear it along your sensitive bud, eliciting another moan from behind his drooly fingers.
“Needy, aren’t we?” Miguel withdrew his fingers from your mouth while his other hand unzipped his dress pants, the metal of his belt buckle clanking together as he pulled it out of its loops. The belt hit the floor with a small thud and with his drool-soaked fingers he freed his massive cock and ran the slippery fingers up and down his shaft.
Miguel tore your underwear off of you, as if it was like taking a sticker off a piece of fruit. You felt yourself drip down your thighs, unsure whether or not it was okay to touch yourself while watching this Greek god of a man pleasure himself with your spit, watching your tense cunt beg him to stuff it.
“Like what you see?” He asked, slipping his finger into his mouth and moaning long and deep when he tasted your sweet slick on his tongue. You nodded vigorously, grabbing one of your tits to entice him even further. “Why don’t you take that off while we’re ahead?”
You quickly tossed off your shirt and bra, completely naked on the desk. Miguel softly laughed, watching how nicely you obeyed him.
“You're too easy, y’know that?” With a few more pumps to his shaft, he harshly grabbed one of your thighs and spread your legs even further, admiring your wet pussy.
The moan you two let out when he put his cock inside of you could've been heard by the whole building if it hadn't been well past 10 pm and everyone had gone for the day. His girthy member dared to split you in half, the sheer size of him was far too much to handle, especially all at one. We watched with pleasure as your breathy moans turned into agonized whimpers the further he drove into you. When he had finally gone balls deep inside of you, there was an obvious cock bulge deep inside of you as he stretched out your pussy wonderfully.
“M-Miguel…” You sighed, a bead of sweat rolling down your temple.
“Oh, so this can keep your attention but me slaving away on your homework can’t?” He smugly asked, pulling out before slamming into you with a grunt. You wailed, scratching the hard surface of the desk underneath you, crumpling stray pieces of scratch paper into your palm while arching your back.
Miguel started at a rough pace, making room out of your tight pussy for his intimidating cock, juices slicking the shaft of his member, and sounds of your wet pussy gushing paired with the creaking of the table filled the room, moans, and mewls adding to euphonious music of your fucking.
“So fucking tight… so fucking tiny… I bet I could fold you like a pretzel,” He said amusingly, grabbing the backs of your thighs and pushing the fronts of them against your chest. You cried out loud, new depth being explored by his commanding dick while he used you for his pleasure.
With his massive hands, he spread his fingers out, his thumbs on the backs of your thighs and his four fingers on the small of your back, grabbing onto you so he could bring you up and down on his deep thrusts.
You were seeing stars at this point, scared your arousal would drip onto your homework papers and soil all the progress you’ve made. But it didn’t matter anymore when you threw your head back onto the table and shook in his hands, pussy clenching around his meaty cock and milking him for his own cum.
“Ngh- What did I say? Easy…” He moaned, thrusting inside of you a few more times before he shot a huge load inside of your tiny pussy, cum leaking out between where your sexes met and rolling down your asscheeks.
You lay there on the table, shaking like a leaf in the wind. Miguel watched entranced as your shared cum leaked out of you, finger fucking it back inside of you, wondering if it he could stuff it all back in. He quickly realized your overstimulated cunt couldn’t take it as tears welled in your eyes.
“Sorry,” He said, removing his fingers. “Now uh… where were we?” He picked up the page of work, then his face dropped, looking at the splotch of cum that had spilled out on accident.
“On second thoughts… you might want to turn this in online.”

Can I request a Jason Todd X Wondergirl!Reader where shes Wonder woman's daughter and side kick?
They were super close and started dating b4 be died as Robin, and they reunite after his revival.
The JL and Young Justice shipped them like crazy, Bruce looked at her like a daughter, and she was also close with Dick and Tim.
Similar to how Dick had Donna, Tim has Cassie, Jason has Reader 💓
It can be smut, fluff, angst, or a combination, I really don't mind, I love all of your work it's addictive 💕💕💕
If you don't mind, you can ignore this aspect if you want, but could WonderGirl reader have long voluminous ginger curly hair? Similar to how Greek Girls in renaissance paintings have? Idk it's just super cute for me.
Anyways, take care and keep doing what your doing 🫶🫶🫶
hello my beautiful anon! i really loved this idea, i incorporated most of what you said, minus the ginger hair (mainly because i want the reader to remain ambiguous)! however, i hope you like it, as i liked it very very much!

# definition of love — jason todd
Tumblr media
synopsis — jason is found dead shortly after you began dating. it hit you like a train, and after a few years, you figured you had moved on. guess you’re proven wrong when you spot a figure who looks just like your boy.
warnings — nothing much, a timeline of events kind of, reader is diana’s daughter and sidekick. angst with a happy ending, reader literally having a mental breakdown twice, typical gf losing bf situation maybe a bit worse, reader has some amazonian features, reader's wondergirl suit is like diana's only the colors are like swapped so the top half is blue instead of red and the skirt is red, but the gold remains the same, as does the headband. this was proofread, but i probably overlooked a spelling mistake like always. i don't think there’s anything else
please please please reblog and like 🤍

seredipity (n.) finding something good without looking for it.
being wondergirl was like a dream come true. you couldn't lie that there were times you wanted to bash your head into a rock because of how stressful it was, but it gave you an excuse to spend time with your mother 24/7.
you were only 13, but your mother had started training you young. she claimed it was for your own protection, but you weren't necessarily sure that was the reason. nevertheless, you obliged and to be honest, it was fun.
getting to spend time with your mother and fight crime? hell yeah! plus, that meant you got to meet the justice league. the idea of it had always flown over your head, but when your mother finally came to you with the idea, you beamed.
luckily for you, that day had arrived as quickly as you had hoped. you were nervous to the point where you were shaking. you had met the young justice before and they were the nicest people you'd ever interacted with, given how close they were to your age. yet, this, this was different.
it seemed way more professional than when you met the young justice.
you stood beside your mother, as she showed you around the justice league headquarters. natural light streamed in through large, arched skylights and tall windows. the sun blared in your face, and it made you feel warm.
could this go any faster?
jason walked in beside bruce in his robin suit. he figured he looked stupid, but he always did when he put on the suit. when bruce had brought up the idea of meeting the justice league, he expected a much cooler headquarters. the hall of justice looked so...bland.
the walls were shade of cream, and a massive, glowing emblem of a shield stood in the main hall. the pair walked on the white marble floor.
in jason's eyes, he looked like a big ball of color surrounded by white. the boy had completely zoned out as bruce walked him through the establishment, talking and talking away.
he had completely forgot where he was when he spotted your flowing hair. he watched as you methodically fiddled with your red skirt. the blue and white on your bodice matched the skirt of the woman next to you. a woman he'd only assumed to be wonder woman.
bruce, unbeknownst to jason's staring, had led the latter over you and your mother, with plans of introducing you and jason.
your mother took notice of bruce's presence quickly, stopping her conversation with you. you watched as the two adults greeted each other with a smile.
bruce averted his gaze to you, looking down at your figure. "you must be y/n. i'm bruce. diana speaks highly of you." his words made your cheeks go warm and you smiled sheepishly.
"i would hope so." you rubbed your bare bicep, your nervousness coming back to you.
the man let out a chuckle, before turning over to the boy next to him. the boy you hadn't even noticed until now. and the minute you did, you felt everything stop. it felt weird, this had never happened before. whenever you met new people your age, you smiled and said hi, but you couldn't bring yourself to do any of that.
his presence hit you like the first bloom of spring after a long, harsh winter.
"this is my son, jason." bruce simply said, and jason's eyes widened, mainly because bruce called him his son, but also because this meant he had to say hi to you and he didn't even know if he could still speak.
you shook off everything you felt and gave the boy in front of you a smile. the three primary colors on his suit and the contrast between his and bruce's almost made you giggle.
the air seemed charged with something electric; tangible yet invisible. you gave him a wave which he very quickly returned. he quickly looked down at the marble floor and you watched him.
you couldn't stop thinking about that the entire day. and to be honest, it made you less nervous about meeting the justice league members. they were incredibly nice, but you just couldn't keep your eye off of jason.
you sure hoped you'd see boy wonder again.
best friend (n.) someone who will stand up for you in the times you need it most. keep your secrets close, and someone you trust with your life.
you were now 14. maybe you had a little crush on jason, but nevertheless, he was your best friend, so that didn't matter to you. what mattered was that you were with him, and he was with you; you sure as hell did not want to lose him.
the two of you sat on a rooftop, your feet dangling in the air. your gold headband held your hair back to the best of its ability as the warm summer wind began to pick up. the sun had set, making the sky a beautiful dark blue and the clock was nearing twelve.
you and jason had always spent your time on this rooftop. it gave you a perfect view of gotham and it was a perfect place for the two of you to escape your parents.
you got lost in conversation on this day, like always. hearing his laugh sent a shiver down your spine like always. you could never get used to it; it was like music to your ears.
in all those moments you'd spent on that rooftop, time slowed, stretching into something so ethereal. it made it so memorable.
talking to him was just so easy, one of the reasons you became friends. he just understood and so did you. he was like a piece of your puzzle you didn't know you were missing. and you loved it. you loved-
"if stars could talk, what do you think they'd say about us?" jason broke the short silence between the two of you. the random question made you chuckle.
you turned your head to face him with a smile, "what?" you tilt your head and jason swears it might just be the cutest thing he's ever seen.
jason grins like a cheshire cat, "i mean like, do you think they laugh at our problems and shit?" he always loved conversations like this. he only ever said stupid stuff to see you smile. every time you smiled, it felt like his heart was blossoming flowers.
"language. and you are so weird." you laughed, your hands gripped the concrete edge of the roof top.
"i am not weird. i just have a big imagination." he quickly defended, throwing his right hand in the air. his left hand, which sat on the concrete edge was lingering closer to your hand; none of you noticed.
you let out a snicker before sitting in a comfortable silence, staring at the sky. only a few stars were visible in the sky, mainly due to the amount of light.
you looked down at your left wrist subtly, a gold watch around it. it was a watch your mother had given you for your 12th birthday. you couldn't recall why you rarely ever took it off, but you were grateful you had it at that moment.
you averted your gaze to the boy next to you who was looking down at his lap with a smile on his face.
"happy birthday, jace."
he looked over, the wind blowing a strand of hair in his face. his eyebrows furrowed for a second before he realized it must've been the next day.
you smiled at him, laying your head on his shoulder. he couldn't keep his gaze off of you, and most of all, he couldn't believe you remembered.
god, he loved this.
lover (n.) 1. a person who is in love with another. 2. a person who has a strong enjoyment or liking for something. 3. a person who loves, especially a person who has or shows a warm and general affectionate regard for others.
"ow. ow. ow." the word became a mantra, a rhythmic complaint that escaped your lips as you lay sprawled on jason’s bed in the manor. the sharp sting in your thigh was unrelenting, a painful reminder of your ill-fated encounter with a kitchen knife and a tray of horribly cut brownies.
the room smelled strongly of antiseptic from the first aid kit jason had torn into moments earlier, the tangy scent mingling with the woodsy warmth of his cologne. that was one smell you could never forget. a crimson gash marred your right thigh, the jagged line oozing blood in slow paths that tickled even as they burned.
jason sat beside you, his expression torn between concern and mild exasperation as he worked quickly to stop the bleeding. the soft rustle of gauze and the metallic clink of scissors filled the otherwise quiet room, broken only by your repeated "ow"s and his hushed apologies.
"sorry, sorry," jason muttered, his voice low and sincere, though his hands remained steady. his jaw clenched as he pressed a clean cloth against your skin, the pressure sharp enough to make you wince.
"remind me to never put you in a kitchen again," he quipped, glancing up briefly with the hint of a smirk.
you rolled your eyes, propping yourself up on your elbows despite the dull ache spreading through your leg. "it was an accident," you retorted, a touch defensive. "i am perfectly capable of knifework."
he raised an eyebrow, the corners of his mouth twitching as if to suppress a laugh. "yeah, sure. because slicing your own leg is totally a pro move."
"very funny," you deadpanned, though your lips quirked in a reluctant smile. okay, maybe you weren’t the most graceful person when it came to handling sharp objects. blades weren’t exactly in your forte, and your mom was usually the one wielding kitchen utensils with precision.
jason snickered, the sound soft and melodic but undeniably amused, as he leaned closer to inspect the wound. his focus was intense, and you couldn’t help but notice the way his dark lashes framed his eyes or the small scar that laid on his jawline.
the bandaging took longer than it should have—partly because he was extremely meticulous, and partly because he kept stealing glances at you, his gaze lingering a second too long. his fingers brushed against your skin, the contact feather-light yet electric, sending a shiver up your spine.
he tied the bandage in place with a precise knot, tapping your thigh gently to signal he was done. the touch was brief but warm, leaving a faint heat in its wake.
"there," he said, his voice quieter now, almost hesitant. "all better."
"thanks," you mumbled, sitting up fully and letting your weight settle into the mattress. your hand rested on top of your freshly bandaged thigh, as if testing the sturdiness of his work.
jason scooted closer, the mattress dipping slightly under his weight. his presence felt larger than life, his shoulder brushing yours as he leaned in, a quiet tension settling between you. you could feel the air shift—charged, unspoken—but neither of you moved to break it.
he tilted his head, his eyes flicking briefly to your lips before snapping back to your face. "so… do i need to keep you on knife probation, or are you gonna behave?"
you rolled your eyes again, though your smile this time was genuine. "depends. are you volunteering to cook for me forever?"
his laugh was soft, a little breathless. "if it means you don’t bleed all over my bed again? sure."
despite jason’s earlier declaration, the two of you found yourselves in the manor’s sprawling kitchen. you’d insisted on redeeming yourself, though he stood watch like a hawk, his arms crossed and an amused grin tugging at his lips.
“alright prince,” he teased, leaning against the counter. “show me what you’ve got. just… keep the knives far, far away.”
you narrowed your eyes at him, grabbing a whisk with exaggerated confidence. “watch and learn, todd.”
the two of you fell into a rhythm, the kitchen filling with the comforting clatter of bowls and utensils. jason couldn’t resist stepping in every now and then, fixing your grip on a spatula or adding a pinch of seasoning to your mixture.
“bossy much?” you quipped as he reached around you to adjust the temperature on the oven
“Just trying to save b’s kitchen from a second massacre,” he shot back, though his tone was light.
at some point, the two of you devolved into playful chaos. A light dusting of flour ended up on jason’s shirt—your doing, of course. he retaliated with a swipe of chocolate from the batter bowl, smearing it on your cheek with a triumphant grin.
“truce!” you laughed, holding your hands up in surrender.
jason smirked, stepping closer. his eyes softened as he reached out with a damp cloth, gently wiping away the smear. “you’re a mess,” he murmured, his voice low and warm.
your breath caught as his hand lingered near your face. the playful energy between you shifted, the air thickening with something unspoken. his thumb brushed your cheek, the touch feather-light, but enough to send a jolt through you.
“jason,” you whispered, his name barely audible.
he hesitated for only a moment before leaning in, his forehead grazing yours as his eyes searched your face. “i’ve been wanting to do this all day,” he admitted, his voice barely above a breath.
then, without another word, his lips found yours. the kiss was soft at first, tentative, as though testing the waters. but it didn’t take long for it to deepen, his hand cupping your jaw while the other found its place at your waist.
the world around you seemed to melt away, leaving only the warmth of his touch and the steady rhythm of his heartbeat against yours.
when you finally pulled apart, his eyes sparkled with a mix of relief and mischief. “you know,” he said, his lips quirking into a smirk, “you’re even worse at baking than I thought.”
you laughed, your forehead resting against his. “we just made out and the first thing you do afterwards is insult me?”
“i wouldn’t call it an insult, just a mere fact.” he replied, brushing a stray hair from your face.
you shook your head, closing the distance between your lips once more.
grief (n.) deep sorrow, especially caused by someone’s death.
jason was missing. at least, that’s what it seemed like. the last time you saw him was two days ago. to say you were worried would be an understatement.
you’d even gone to the manor, desperate to find him, but neither he nor bruce were there. alfred, usually a source of calm and clarity, had only said, “i’m afraid i can’t explain,” before retreating into the quiet dignity he always carried. those words lingered in your mind, growing heavier with each repetition.
now, two days had passed. two painfully slow, gut-wrenching days where time seemed to drag its feet. sleep had become an impossibility, your bed feeling cold and empty. food felt like an afterthought—how could you eat when every thought spiraled back to jason? was he hurt? was he in trouble? was he…?
you didn’t dare finish that thought.
sitting at the kitchen island, you tapped your fingers against the cool marble countertop in a restless rhythm. the sound filled the silence of the house, a constant reminder of your unease. diana stood across from you, pouring hot chocolate into two mugs, her presence steady yet unable to dispel the dark cloud hanging over you.
she glanced up, her eyes soft with understanding. “it’ll be okay,” she said, though her voice wavered ever so slightly.
you didn’t respond, your gaze fixed on the swirls of the marble as though the patterns might hold the answers you so desperately needed.
when diana moved to the refrigerator for the whipped cream, a soft knock echoed through the house. it was almost hesitant, as though the person on the other side knew the weight of what they carried.
your head snapped up, and diana caught your movement, raising a hand. “i’ll get it,” she said gently.
you watched as she walked to the entrance hall, her back straight but her steps slower than usual, as if she sensed what was coming. she opened the door, and the chill of the evening air rushed in, making the hairs on your arms rise.
there stood bruce, dressed sharply in a suit and tie, his presence commanding as always. but tonight, his usual stoicism was cracked, a melancholic look etched into his face.
diana froze, her hand still gripping the door. “bruce?” she asked, her voice tinged with concern. “what’s wrong?”
he didn’t answer right away. his jaw clenched, and he bit the inside of his cheek, his eyes avoiding hers. for a man who had faced countless battles and tragedies, this moment seemed to unravel him. his silence spoke volumes.
diana swallowed hard, her grip on the door tightening. she didn’t press him, though every second of quiet stretched unbearably. finally, bruce exhaled shakily, breaking the silence.
“jason is dead.”
the words hung in the air, heavy and final.
diana’s breath hitched audibly, and she let out a small gasp, her hand flying to her mouth. she reached out, pulling bruce into a hug. he stiffened at first, his shoulders rigid under the weight of his grief, but then he let himself lean into her, if only for a moment.
when she pulled back, her hands lingered on his arms. “what am i going to tell y/n?” she whispered, her voice trembling.
bruce didn’t answer, his gaze dropping to the ground.
how does one tell their daughter her boyfriend is dead?
how does one tell their son's girlfriend he's dead?
your voice cut through the air, startling them both. you stood a few feet behind diana, your brow furrowed with confusion. the cold wind from the open door brushed past you, sending a shiver down your spine.
bruce turned to look at you, and for a moment, the man who was always so unshakable seemed small. his lips parted, but no sound came.
“bruce!” you said, your voice rising slightly as panic crept in. “is… is jason here?” you tilted your head, your fingers fidgeting against your palm.
the way his jaw tightened, the way diana avoided your gaze—it was enough to send your heart racing.
“what’s wrong?” you asked, forcing a shaky laugh. “why are you both looking at me like that?”
diana finally raised her head, tears brimming in her eyes. she stepped closer to you, her movements slow and deliberate.
“mom?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
she reached out, placing a gentle hand on your cheek. her touch was warm, grounding, but the look in her eyes made your stomach twist.
“he’s gone,” she said softly, her voice cracking. “jason’s dead.”
the world seemed to tilt, the weight of her words crashing into you like a tidal wave. for a moment, everything blurred—the sound of the wind, the warmth of her hand, even the beating of your own heart.
“no,” you whispered, shaking your head. “no, he’s not.”
"y/n.." diana began.
you backed away, letting her hand fall awkwardly. "no. no. you're lying," you looked over at bruce who was staring at the ground with such remorse. "you're lying, right?"
his silence was enough to make you sob.
after that day, nothing was the same. the world felt muted, like someone had dialed down the color and sound until everything was a dull, lifeless gray. days and nights blurred together, each one dragging on endlessly but offering no relief.
sleep was an elusive stranger. you spent most nights tossing and turning, tangling yourself in the sheets in a futile attempt to find a position where the ache in your chest didn’t feel so unbearable. when you did manage to drift off, it never lasted long.
the nightmares always came—flashes of his face, his laugh, his touch, and then, nothing. you’d wake up gasping, tears already streaming down your cheeks before you were fully conscious. the pillow beneath you was damp most mornings, a stark reminder of the storm you couldn’t escape.
the days weren’t any easier. you locked yourself in your room, the blinds drawn tight to keep the light out. sunlight felt wrong, almost offensive. how could the sun rise and set when your world had stopped?
your phone buzzed occasionally with concerned texts from dick and artemis, but the effort it took to type a single reply felt monumental. ‘okay.’ that was all you could manage, even though it was far from the truth.
your chest felt hollow, as though someone had reached inside and carved out every piece of you that mattered, leaving behind only a raw, jagged void. every breath was a battle—a sharp, painful reminder that you were still here, and he wasn’t.
the leather jacket he left at your house hung in your closet, untouched except for that one night when the grief was too heavy to bear. you’d pulled it down, burying your face in the worn material, desperately searching for the scent of him, the smallest piece of him that you could still hold onto.
at first, the faint smell of his cologne brought a flicker of comfort, but it was fleeting. the memories came rushing in, one after another, relentless and unforgiving. you crumpled to the floor, clutching the jacket to your chest as sobs wracked your body.
even now, the jacket remained where you’d left it—folded on the floor, too painful to look at yet impossible to put away. It was a symbol of him, of everything you’d lost, and it seemed to radiate its own grief, mirroring yours.
the hours crept by, each one heavier than the last. you existed in a haze of sorrow, your body moving through the motions of life while your mind remained stuck in the past, replaying moments with him like a scratched record. every laugh, every glance, every touch—they were all there, vivid and cruel reminders of what you’d never have again.
a year went by. then two. hen three. the grief hadn’t left, not really—it had just learned to settle in the cracks of your soul. you’d found ways to cope, ways to live. for the most part, anyway. the ache was still there, but it no longer kept you locked inside your house, staring at the ceiling, waiting for answers that would never come.
you started spending a lot of more time with dick. he had been a quiet but steady presence in the aftermath, his support unspoken yet deeply felt. he never pushed you to talk, but he always seemed to know when you needed someone to sit with you in the silence. with him, the weight felt a little lighter, the memories a little less suffocating.
about a year after jason's death, you’d met tim. the new robin. It had been a shock at first—seeing someone else in that uniform, someone who wasn’t him. but tim was different. he wasn’t trying to fill jason’s shoes; he was carving his own path, and over time, you grew close to him. he became another thread in the fragile net that kept you grounded, kept you moving forward.
life continued, in its strange, fractured way. then, one afternoon, everything shifted.
you had decided to take a walk downtown—a simple attempt to clear your head. the streets were bustling, the noise of cars and chatter filling the air. you ducked into a quiet bookstore for a while, thumbing through a few titles before stepping back out onto the pavement. you hadn't been in this particular bookstore in years. the sun was beginning to dip lower in the sky, casting a warm glow over the city.
and that’s when you saw him.
at first, it was just a figure in the crowd. but something about the way he moved caught your eye. the familiar stride. the way his head turned slightly as though he’d caught someone’s attention. your breath hitched in your throat, your heart thudding painfully in your chest.
it couldn’t be. it couldn’t be.
but it looked so much like him. too much like him.
you froze on the spot, your body rooted to the ground as the figure walked away, blending into the crowd. you wanted to move, to call out, but your legs wouldn’t listen. your hands trembled as they clutched your bag, and your vision blurred as tears welled up in your eyes.
you stumbled back into the nearest alley, your breaths coming in short, panicked gasps. leaning against the cold brick wall, you tried to steady yourself, but the world was spinning. you clenched your eyes shut, pressing the heels of your palms against them as though you could will the image away.
it wasn’t him. it could not be him.
but the seed of doubt had been planted, and it was growing, fast and wild, threatening to overtake your rationality.
by the time you made it home, you were shaking. the moment the door closed behind you; the dam broke. you collapsed onto the floor, the sobs tearing through you with a force that felt almost violent.
“jason,” you whispered, his name a prayer and a curse all at once.
the pain you’d worked so hard to manage came crashing back, sharper than ever. you cried until your throat was raw, until your body ached from the force of it. the walls of your apartment seemed to close in on you, suffocating and unforgiving. you didn’t care.
the image of the figure haunted you, replaying in your mind over and over. you wanted to believe it was him. you wanted to believe that somehow, against all odds, he was alive. but you couldn’t let yourself hope. hope was dangerous.
two days passed before you felt steady enough to leave the house. dick had invited you to the manor for dinner, saying bruce wanted to discuss something. you agreed reluctantly, still shaken from what you’d seen, but knowing you couldn’t keep isolating yourself.
seated in the dining room, you looked between bruce and dick, their expressions unusually grim.
“why do I feel like this isn’t just dinner?” you asked, trying to lighten the mood.
bruce sighed, his gaze dropping to the floor. “we’ve been tracking a new vigilante in gotham,” he said finally. “calls himself the red hood.”
the name sent a chill down your spine, but you kept your expression neutral. “and?”
dick hesitated, glancing at bruce before speaking. “he’s... unconventional. brutal. we’ve crossed paths with him a few times now, and his methods are extreme.”
“extreme how?” you pressed, your stomach knotting with unease.
“he’s not afraid to kill,” bruce said flatly. “he goes after criminals with precision and rage. he knows things about us, about gotham, that no one outside the family should know.”
the knot in your stomach tightened. “what are you trying to say?”
dick leaned forward, his voice softer now. “we think he might have a connection to jason.”
your breath hitched, and you gripped the armrest of the chair. “what kind of connection?”
bruce’s jaw tightened. “we don’t know yet. but his tactics, his targets... there are too many similarities to ignore.”
the room fell silent as you processed their words. the figure in the crowd flashed in your mind again. could it really be him?
but no, it couldn’t. jason was gone.
and yet, for the first time in three years, the possibility lingered.
love (n.) an intense emotion of affection, warmth, fondness, and regard towards a person or thing.
you couldn't bring yourself to stop thinking about that day in the bookstore and the dinner at the manor. it hit you like a train. you had truly thought you were over it.
you believed that no reminder of him was going to make you break down ever again. that melancholy and remorse? you thought it was gone. why did it have to be back?
why couldn't you be normal about it? what made this so damn difficult?
of course, you still loved him. you would never stop. you knew that for a fact. but no one told you that grief was so hard.
it felt suffocating. the weight on your shoulders came back and suddenly, you weren't so grounded anymore. god, you wanted to believe he was alive. just to make everything easier. you just wanted the cure to all of this.
your mother noticed something was off when she came to visit you, but you immediately turned her comfort down, saying it was just stress.
she knew that wasn't the case.
nevertheless, she left you alone and later that night, you found yourself in your suit on that very rooftop you and jason loved so much.
your feet dangled off of the concrete edge, staring into the night sky. the sky above was an inky black, its darkness punctuated by a few stubborn stars that managed to shine through the haze of city lights. the hum of the city rose faintly from below, but up here, it felt like the world had paused, leaving only you and the endless night.
from the rooftop, the city stretched out in every direction, its neon signs and glowing windows casting a faint orange haze over the horizon. above it all, the moon hung pale and solitary, its light soft and distant, as though reluctant to reach the ground.
it reminded you so much of him. the ability to talk to him and never know when to stop. he never failed to make you smile or laugh. god, you missed his laugh. you missed his smile and you longed for his smell.
you closed your eyes, and his face came to you, unbidden. his crooked smile, the one that always made your heart skip a beat. the way he used to look at you, like you were the only person in the world that mattered. god, you missed him. you missed everything about him.
he was so good to you, and he was gone.
your chest tightened, the hollow ache inside you growing unbearable. you leaned forward slightly, your arms wrapping around yourself as though you could hold yourself together. the rooftop had always been your sanctuary, but tonight, it felt like a prison.
you leaned back just in time to hear a rather modulated voice come from behind you.
"i thought you would've stopped coming here."
you jumped at the voice, immediately standing up. you gripped onto your lasso which laid attached to your red skirt. the rooftop was dark, save for the faint glow of the city lights below. shadows stretched across the concrete, and the figure in front of you emerged from one of them like something out of a nightmare.
fortunately, the red helmet that covered his head gave it away and ultimately, you knew who you were facing. red hood.
"what do you want?" you simply questioned, straightening your back.
he made an effort to step towards you but stopped when you put your hand up as a way to stop him. he sighed, though it was barely audible. "i'm not gonna hurt you. i would ne-" he cut himself off, looking down at the ground.
you raised your eyebrows, letting your hand make its way back to your side. your chest rose and fell with shallow breaths as your eyes locked onto the tall figure before you. you eyed him up and down.
he left no room for questioning when you heard a clank. you looked down at the ground and say that same red helmet that was just on his head, lying on the ground.
you looked up at him and your shoulders slumped. the grip on your lasso loosened and your breath hitched.
oh god, were you dreaming? surely, this couldn't be real.
standing before you was jason todd. your jason. your boy. he had certainly grown, standing at a little over 6'0, 6'1? you could see how toned he was through his suit. his hair was longer than before, and there were faint scars on his still beautiful face.
"baby..." he uttered out, biting the inside of his cheek.
how does one tell their girlfriend that they came back from the dead?
you ran over to him, wrapping your arms around him. you needed to touch him, to feel him. this was your chance. this was the cure. you felt him stiffen a bit under you before completely melting into your touch, wrapping his arms around you securely. it almost felt like he was scared to let you.
"i thought i-" your voice broke as you pulled your head back a bit to look at him. "i missed you, jace." the way his name rolled off your tongue so easily sent a chill down his spine. he missed this. he missed you.
his throat tightened as he looked down at you, guilt and regret written across his face. “i’m sorry. i’m so sorry,” he whispered, his voice barely audible, but it filled your ears like a soft melody. you had missed hearing it—hearing him. just hearing him speak to you like this, like he still cared, made everything else feel less heavy.
you tilted your head, your eyebrows furrowed with confusion. god, he missed that. "why?"
he swallowed hard, his gaze never leaving your face. “i didn’t look for you first. i should’ve. and then… i did things. horrible things. i mean, i killed people, y/n. so many people. and i—i don’t expect you to forgive me. i don’t even know if you can.” he paused, running a shaky hand through his hair. “but, but i can change. for you, i can. i just wanted you to know that. i… i just wanted to tell you that i’m still me. i’m still your jason.”
"then, that's all that matters." you stated, placing a hand on his cheek. it felt so much better to touch him. "i can't leave you. not when i just got you back." you sniffled.
you smiled for the first time, and he felt himself turn into jelly. he missed you and he missed that damn smile.
a shaky breath escaped him as his hands cupped your face, his thumb tracing your cheek softly. “fuck, i don’t deserve you,” he said hoarsely.
you shook your head, smiling through the tears that were now falling freely down your face. “you don’t have to deserve me, jason,” you whispered. “you already have me. also, language.”
he shook his head as he pulled you in close, his lips meeting yours in a soft, tentative kiss, as though afraid to push too far. but you kissed him back with all the love and longing you had kept hidden for so long. when you pulled away, both of you breathless, jason rested his forehead against yours.
“i always thought you looked good in red. i could get used to this.” you remarked, referring to the red helmet that was still laying on the red.
he smiled softly, placing a hand on the fabric of your crimson skirt. “got it from you.”
god, you loved this man.

My nana at 9 years of age was dragged kicking and screaming to school. Her math teacher had been molesting her. She told her parents. They did nothing. Best part? Her father was the principal. So obviously that teacher learned he could get away with anything and started molesting the other girls, who then blamed my nana because...I dunno, little kid logic I guess. It was unlikely their parents were going to be any more helpful than my nana's and he knew it.
My great aunt at the age of 13 was forcibly kissed by a teacher in full view of several witnesses who then gave her shit for seducing an honourable man.
My mom at 12 years of age left her physically abusive father to live with her mother and stepfather, only for her stepfather to molest her. Her mother to this day refuses to believe it.
My best friend had a longterm close male friend who sexually assaulted her in her sleep. Their entire friend group as well as the youth counselor encouraged her to forgive him because it was obviously a misunderstanding and she'd been giving off mixed signals and he'd had a huge crush on her and he wasn't intending to hurt her! So she did forgive him, publicly. And he did it again. And again. And again. And then it was her fault because she kept hanging out with him. If she really didn't want him doing it, why didn't she just abandon her entire friend group? He also got emboldened and went on to sexually assault other girls, so eventually they all started talking and went to the school against him. The youth counselor admonished my friend for going forward against him.
My other best friend decided to be "open-minded" and dated a trans-identified male. He also sexually assaulted her multiple times in her sleep but he framed her as the abuser at their youth support group for not adequately validating his identity.
My stepfather molested me from the ages of 7 to 12 and when I reported him he was dating a new woman at the time. She didn't believe it. They're still together. I can only imagine the number of girls he's been given access to over the years (he didn't go to jail, or get convicted of sexual assault).
I was also sexually assaulted in my sleep at my friend's party once. That guy's friend said I "probably wanted it".
Went to group therapy. All the women there had very different stories, but one theme that kept cropping up: they weren't believed or they were blamed.
I read books about therapy sessions with other victims. And that theme kept up. Not believed or else blamed. One woman told her story, learning to gloss it over before being dismissed out of hand, for decades before a professional finally asked her to elaborate and put her in touch with a sexual assault crisis centre. Another thing that came up in those books: knowing how hard it was for victims to come forward, and all the discouragement from people in their lives, many women must take it to the grave.
But hey, it's fine. Men have it worse. I mean we all watched a rich abusive man successfully publicly humiliate his victim while everyone said he was the victim and she was the abuser. And actually it's super common for abusive men to claim to be the victim, and police and family believe it! And it can take multiple women to come forward against one man for anything to be done, and often even that's not enough. But never mind that, men have it worse. We know this because they so--no, no, don't pay attention to hospital records or homicides or child marriages, or--Men. Say. They. Have it worse! So they do. Everything a man says is truth. That's why you must believe whatever a man says and accept every observation he makes as objective. No, there's no irony here, no historical precedent, no global trend.

A/n: Heyyy, guess who's not dead! sorry I haven't been around for like a year or two things for me have gotten busy but things are slowing down for me right now so I'm gonna be focusing more on writing now! I hope you enjoy :D

You had always heard stories of adventurers finding new civilizations, fight cool monsters, and traveling around the world. You were gonna be like one of those strong adventurers and be marked down in the history books. Though your training and honed your skills to your very limit yet your body stayed the same, growing at its normal pace. Sure you could punch through a brick wall but, you also looked as if you spent your days reading inside. But after a while you had come to accept that you would remain average size until you joined the adventures guild.
The adventure’s guild always had interesting commissions, from the mundane to the deadly. You joined looking forward to getting super hard missions where you could explore a abandoned temple and fight the spirt that lives there! Or a commission about a missing person who has been kiddnap by dozens of treasure hoarder and you have to fight your way through them! As Katherine hands you your first commission you read the page telling you to deliver mint to some guy.
You look up at kathrine with a “are you joking” face. She only smiles at you and asks if you have any questions. You insist to kathrine that you are a strong individual and you can handle your own. She shakes her head saying that this is the best commission for your skill level. You went back and fourth with Kathrine about the commission before she gave up and gave you some hillcurl camp to clean up on the west side. Snatching the commission out her hand you rush off to complete it.
It wasn't the intense adventure you hoped for but it was better than nothing. So you head out to the camp and when you get there you spot three hillchurls, easy enough. When you finish off
the last hillchurl you heard the sound of gears churning behind you.
“WATCH OUT!” a mystery voice calls out. Quickly turning around you are faced 13 feet tall ruin guard. It lifts up its giant geared hand attempting to slam it down on you, you dodge out of the way by jumping back. This is the first time you've ever encountered a ruin guard and there was something you wanted to try with it.
Throwing your weapon to the side you take a running start at the ruin guard. You can hear the stranger yell at you to get back when you leap into the air lifting your fist up pull it down right on the machine’s head. It flies back into a rock wall 12 feet away from you. Landing on your feet you watch as the ruins guard light flickers for a second then goes dark. Turning to the mystery person you are met with a look of…
Xiao: Shocked but doesn't care that much
Tumblr media
Xiao was patrolling the area around Yaodie Valley when he came across you fighting hillchurls. You had an adventurers guild uniform on but you looked far too weak to be fighting such monster, and at such a young age. But you looked to be holding yourself well so he didn't bother you. Until he saw out of the corner of his eye an old ruin guard started to shuffle and activate.
He yelled at you warning about it but to his surprise, you dropped your weapon and took off running towards it. He was about to intervene when you sent the ruin guard flying into a wall. He stood there for a second spear still out and in his fighting stance but, confused as hell. How did such a weak-looking child punch that machine like it was a stuffed animal.
“Uh, Mr. Adeptus?” You said trying to get the man's attention. “are you okay?” Snapping out of his trance he circles around you checking for wounds, none were found except for some red on the fist. And without any word he disappears.
Dehya: Worried but Amazed
Tumblr media
While traveling to meet her newest client she stumbles on you collecting stuff off the ground while a ruin guard towers over you. You looked no older than 18 and even tho you had a weapon didnt look like you could fight. She shouts a you watch out and unsheft her claymore. As she is running towards you she sees you turn around send the metal heap flying into a stone wall with a singular punch. Stopping her in her track Dehya looks at the scene before her with her mouth agape.
“Hey kid!” she yells at you. “Are you okay?!” She began checking your body for injuries. That was quite a punch but she needed to check that you didnt break anything from that.
“If i move your fingers like this do they hurt?!” She asked while bending your fingers slightly upwards.
“No ma’ma,” you resond
“I've just never seen someone knock out a ruin guard with one punch! How did you even do that without break your hand?”
“I drink a lot of milk.”
Lyney: Excitement
Tumblr media
Today was a day Lyney had all to him self, much to his dismay. Lynette was off on a solo mission and Freminet teaching some of their siblings how to dive. Lyney would have joined but those lessons were too slow paced for him and he'd end up getting board and leaving the group behind.
So now he was outside of the city walls looking for something that could entertain him. When he saw the slashing of a weapon out the corner of his eye and turned to see a teenager fighting a couple hillchurls. They looked skilled enough to take on a couple monsters but, defiantly not strong physically.
He was about to head out and look for something more interesting when he heard the gears of a ruin guard turn. He spun around to see you face to face with one of these machines. He saw you jump back nearly missing the hand crushing coming down on you. As he got out his bow to shoot the thing down he stopped himself as he saw you run and jump off a rock and landing a punch on top of its head sending it flying backward.
You turned to face him and his bow was still in his hand with a shit eating grin on his face.
"My archons that was amazing!" He exclaimed while throwing his hands up and trotted right up too you. "How did you manage to do that?" He was lifting your arms up and down like he was trying to find something to tell him how you knock the guard out in one punch. "Or is it just raw strength... Punch me."
"What?" He said that as if it was just a normal request.
"Punch me right here in the stomach, I wanna see something."
"Sir I just knocked out a whole monster and now you want me to punch you?"
"Yes, I don't know what's so hard to understand. you can take down an ancient machine with one punch but you look so... normal!" Rude. "I don't mean that in a bad way but I want to see how this is possible." for the rest of the day he spent it with you testing out your strength on different things. He should have more days to himself if it's gonna be like this one!

Pre-Season Testing - Bahrain  You prayed the white polo shirt went unnoticed by everyone as you wandered aimlessly around the paddock on your first day. The ‘induction’ into your role was nothing more than a three minute video about paddock etiquette and you still weren’t quite sure what it was you were meant to be doing. You were also too embarrassed to admit you had no clue what you were doing so you didn’t dare ask for help either.
Daniel watched you from the outdoor seating in Red Bull’s hospitality and he smirked to himself as you turned around twice before deciding on a direction that put you right into his path. The moment he saw you meandering around like a lost kitten he had felt a protective instinct snap into place and when you passed by his table he couldn’t help but steal your attention.
You frowned as a sharp whistle sounded beside you and you turned around until you spotted a man grinning back at you. It was impossible not to recognise him with his signature cheeky grin inviting you closer and you pointed to yourself as you looked around to see if he was smiling at someone else.
“Yeah, you,” he laughed, rising from his seat and grabbing the opened can of Red Bull from the table. “Where are you heading?”
“Um, I don’t know,” you said as you nervously played with your lanyard.
“I can help you find your way. Do you have a name, kitten?”
“Kitten?”
“Hmm, that was a good guess.”
“What? No, my name’s not kitten. And I’m not exactly lost. I just don’t know where I’m meant to be.” Your shoulders slumped as you pulled out the piece of paper in your pocket and tried once again to make sense of it but it was plucked from your fingers.
“Pretty sure that’s the definition of lost. Okay so, 10am in the pit, looks like you’re with me, kitten,” he said as he balled up the paper and lobbed it into the recycling bin.
“But I needed th-”
“Nonsense, you’ve got yourself the best travel guide now. I’ll protect you from the dangerous animals that roam wild in this place.”
You couldn’t remember hearing about any dangerous animals when you arrived in the humid country but the thought brought a rising panic that had you take a step closer to the Red Bull driver. He grinned as he threw an arm over your shoulder and tucked you into his side.
“There’s one right there,” he whispered in your ear as he pointed to Carlos who was leaving the Ferrari motorhome. “Careful, he definitely bites. And if left hungry, then no one is safe.”
A laugh bubbled up before you covered your mouth to silence the sound but it had already drawn the other driver’s attention, or maybe it was Daniel’s much louder laugh that he barked. The Spanish driver sauntered over and shook hands with his competitor before eyeing you up with a grin.
“Who's your friend?”
“This is-”
“Not kitten,” you interrupted as you held your hand out. “It’s Y/N.”
“It’s nice to meet you. I’m Carlos,” he said as he shook your hand before cocking an eyebrow at Daniel curiously. “Kitten?”
“Don’t worry about it,” Daniel said as his hand slipped down and you relaxed under the comforting pressure of his palm on your lower back. “Only I can call her that. I’m just going to give her the grand tour, I’ll catch you later, mate.”
You smiled at Carlos and gave him a small wave before you were once more making your way through the paddock. It was impossible not to laugh as Daniel joked and teased anyone and everything along the way. He had a charisma that few did and you completely forgot about work or even where he was taking you until he came to a stop.
“You have arrived at your destination,” he said with a dramatic bow as he pointed to the stage where some interviews were happening.
“Thanks, though I still have no idea what I’m meant to be doing here,” you said as you worried on your bottom lip nervously.
His eyes seemed to darken as he watched your bottom lip be pulled between your teeth and your stomach flipped at the unexpected tension that rose.
“I can keep you company,” he offered. “Wouldn’t want my little kitten getting lost again.”
The pet name seemed to be sticking around, and the more he said it the more you wanted to hear it. “Don’t you have your own job to do?”
He didn’t seem too happy at the reminder and seemed to nod, shrug and shake his head all at once. “Maybe…how about getting a drink after? I want to see you relaxed, and in something a little more…you,” he said as his fingers traced the hem of your FIA issued polo shirt.
“I can’t,” you replied when your voice finally worked.
“Why not? You don’t have a boyfriend, do you?”
“No.” He visibly relaxed at the answer and smiled brightly once more. “I’m only twenty.”
“Age is just a number, kitten.”
You already knew his age, but the gap of over a decade didn’t seem that far with his carefree attitude and humorous outlook.
You looked at your feet as heat scorched your cheeks. “I meant it’s illegal for me to drink here. Not…that.”
Daniel frowned and mentally ran through the next few weeks of races, the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix both having the same drinking age of 21 instead of 18. The frown eased as a smirk replaced it and he dipped his head closer to yours to whisper in your ear, “you’re in for a treat.”
“What’s that?” Curiosity getting the better of you.
“You, me, Aus GP. I’ll give you a night to remember.”
You bit your lip as your imagination ran wild beyond just having a drink but before you could reply your name was called by the woman who had assigned the job to you. You were grateful for it too as you stepped back and took a deep breath to steady yourself. Daniel was dangerous to be around, his allure made you forget what you were meant to be doing and you couldn’t afford to lose this job.
“I’ll have to take a rain check but thank you for showing me around,” you said with a small wave before rushing over to the lady waiting impatiently.
“You’re late.” She thrust a clipboard into your hands and tapped a finger on the timetable. “These are the interview orders. Find the drivers on the list and make sure they are backstage and ready. Got it?”
You nodded and scanned the table to see who was needed first and found Carlos’ name along with Lando Norris and Logan Sargeant. Thankfully the tour with Daniel had taken you past their motorhomes and you only hoped they were there as you started your search.

Round Two - Saudi Arabia You only just managed to duck in time to dodge the football that flew your way and a string of apologies quickly followed.
“Sorry, I wasn’t aiming for you, I swear,” Oscar apologised again as he jogged over to collect the ball.
“Nice reflexes though,” Lando pointed out with a grin. “Wanna play? Piastri could use all the help he can get, as you can see.”
“I’m terrible, trust me, you don’t want me on your team. I’m just good at dodging hazards.”
“Like Danny?” Lando joked. “He was looking for you.”
You had seen the missed calls from him but had been too busy to return them. “Is he a hazard then?”
You had ended up spending a lot more time with the drivers than you had expected with your job. You would even go so far as to say you were friends with some of them, mostly Oscar, Lando, Yuki and Logan since they were only a year or two older than you.
“Nah, he’s just protective of you for some reason.” You cocked an eyebrow up and Lando stumbled over his words. “We would all protect you, if you needed it, of course, we wouldn’t just, you know, leave you to fend for yourself. Daniel’s just a little more…Oscar?”
You looked to Oscar for an answer as Lando had but Daniel’s fellow Australian driver shifted uncomfortably and focused on the ball at his feet. “Possessive.”
Lando snapped his finger and nodded. “That’s the word I was looking for. Did he have ‘a talk’ with you last week?”
Oscar nodded with a grimace and you frowned at the sight of it on your friend's face. “What kind of talk?”
“Nothing, just racing stuff,” he lied, a fake reassuring smile plastered on his face. “Should we start making a move?”
You checked your watch and found there was still plenty of time to get the boys to the media pit but they were already walking ahead when you looked back up. You trusted that they would arrive there without too many distractions to make them late and instead headed to the Red Bull motorhome.
You tapped the back of your knuckles on the door with Daniel’s name and the hard line of your lips pressed together vanished as his accent welcomed you inside.
“Kitten, I wasn’t expecting you,” he greeted as he sat shirtless on the couch in the driver room, country music playing from a speaker in the corner. “What brings you to my humble abode?”
His body was a distraction and you had to look away, but there was no avoiding the scent of his cologne that lingered in the air and you had to shake your head to rid yourself of the intrusive thoughts. You crossed your arms as you stiffened your spine, remembering why you were there in the first place. “Did you say something to Oscar?”
“I’ve said lots to him,” he said as he stood up. His broad chest filled your vision and your eyes drifted over the definitions of his muscles before focusing on the tattoos that decorated his skin. “You’ll have to be more specific, kitten.”
“I don’t know, he was just acting weird,” you admitted as your hands dropped to your side. “And Lando mentioned some talk you had.”
“That’s not very specific,” he chuckled as he stepped closer.
Taking a deep breath, you dared to drag your eyes up his body until you reached those warm brown eyes of his. “Did you talk to them about me?”
He shrugged innocently but the look in his eyes was anything but. “Once or twice.”
“Why? They’re my friends.”
“Good, that’s all they should be.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means they will only be your friends,” he said through a cocky smile, “if they know what’s good for them.”
You tipped your head back to glare at him for what he insinuated. “You’re not my father.”
“You’re young, but you’re not that young,” he laughed as he circled you and whispered in your ear. “Oh, the things I would do to you if you were just a little older.”
The air in your lungs froze as your stomach somersaulted and you jolted back when his fingertips trailed up your arms. Goosebumps broke over your skin at the light touch and the breath you had held turned to a soft sigh. “Tell me.”
“That wouldn’t be a good idea, kitten,” he said as the lock on the door clicked into place behind you.
“Why?” You sounded as needy as you suddenly felt. This dance had become a familiar routine over the last three weeks but it had never gone further than a few flirty lines whispered in quiet corridors or text messages late at night.
“Because I want to do bad things to you.”
You turned to face him and it left your lips mere inches apart. All it would take was a subtle shift onto your tiptoes and you would be able to taste the lips that had tempted you since he found you on your first day. It took all your strength to resist being the first to give in to the pull between you but you did allow yourself a small indulgence as you traced the lettering of the tattoo across his collarbone.
“How bad?”
His throat bounced with the deep swallow he took and he caught your hand before it could reach his racing pulse. “Very bad.”
Your thighs clenched together at the gravel in his voice and you forgot why you entered his room as curiosity controlled your thoughts. Emboldened by the heat in his gaze, your free hand followed the contour of his hip to the deep V that disappeared into his jeans and his chest rose with a shaky breath. “Like…?”
“Kitty…” He licked his lips as he folded his hand over yours and pushed it lower. “I would destroy you.” He guided your palm over his jeans and your eyes widened at the size of the hard length you felt contained beneath the denim. A dark chuckle teased your ear as he watched your reaction before continuing. “Sweet, little kitten. I’d stretch every hole and make them mine.”
He curled an arm around your waist and pulled you flush to his body before his large hands trailed down to grip your backside, squeezing them roughly. You gasped as his fingers teased over the seam that ran down your ass and your core clenched at the thought of taking him in such a way.
“No one’s ever fucked you there have they?” he asked knowingly, his voice dropping lower as he turned you around and ground his erection against your ass. “Innocent, little kitten. I would work you up to it, don’t you worry. I bet I could make you cum with my tongue first, then again with my fingers, before you begged me to fuck you. And you’d take me so well, I just know it. You’d let me do anything to you, wouldn’t you, kitten?”
Your head fell back to his shoulder with a moan as your eyes fluttered shut. “Yes…”
“That’s what I thought,” he chuckled before he pulled away. “But you’re too young.”
If his words didn’t send a shiver down your spine it was the sound of the door unlocking before it swung open. Daniel leaned so casually against the frame like the last two minutes had never happened but his eyes were tortured as he looked at the glowing green emergency exit sign at the other end of the motorhome. “Run while you can, kitten.”
Tumblr media
It was impossible to look at Daniel without hearing his sordid words echoing in your head. All weekend you were tortured with the images he had placed there and your nights were spent tossing and turning in your room as you remained unsatisfied by your fingers.
He seemed to sense it too when he passed you in the paddock.
“You look tired,” he commented quietly as you escorted Lando to an interview. He had been quick to divert his own course of travel when he saw you walking beside the British driver and positioned himself between you two. “Trouble sleeping?”
“It’s just the humidity,” you lied but his smirk only grew.
“Won’t have to worry about that next week. Australia brings a different kind of heat. I can’t wait to show you it.” His arm draped over your shoulder. “Get that drink together. See where the night leads.”
You stumbled and would have fallen if he had tightened his grip, pulling you even closer to him so his lips brushed your cheek. “I thought I was too young,” you shot back quietly after you recovered your footing.
“You can drink at 18 there.”
You rolled your eyes. “That’s not what I meant.”
“I know,” he laughed as he slipped away with a wink. “I hope your sleep is more satisfying tonight.”
“Is your aircon broken?” Lando asked, a look of concern etched on his frowning face. “You can have my room if you need, I can bunk with Carlos - he probably misses having someone to cuddle.”
“Why would you bunk with Carlos? Not that we need to, since my aircon is working fine,  but we could’ve just shared your bed.”
Lando scoffed a laugh and jutted a thumb over his shoulder in the direction Daniel had gone in. “Yeah, if I want to wake to a castration, which I don’t.”
You sighed and rolled your eyes. “At least you still talk to me. I have hardly seen Yuki since he spoke to Danny before the qualifiers. I’m pretty sure they weren’t discussing the weather.”
Lando scratched the tuft of hair on his chin nervously. “That chat was about the TikTok you guys made. I mean, I found it hilarious but playing twister put you two in some pretty close positions.”
“It was just a game.”
“I know that, hell, everyone knows that.” Lando shook his head and looked around before leaning closer. “You know he’s protective of you-”
“Possessive,” you corrected.
“Possessive, whatever,” he said with a dismissive wave. “Just try not to drag too many of us into the line of fire, okay?”
You felt guilty for disturbing the peace, or friendships, and nodded sullenly. “Can you find your own way to the pit? I’m not feeling too well.”
“Want me to walk you to the med bay?”
You waved off the look of concern. “No, I’ll get another strike on my name if you’re late to your interview. Go on, I’ll be fine.”
He reluctantly left and you made your way to the admin building so you could beg for a different position, one that didn’t involve interacting with the drivers. The last thing they needed in their busy lives was more drama.
When you swapped out roles with a colleague you thought things would quieten down but your phone was pinging nonstop with the drivers asking why they had some random guy walking them to their appointments. You resorted to silencing the device until after the race was over.
Incident investigation, collision between DR3 and YT22 - noted
The notification came across your laptop followed by an email with the request for the first of the drivers to appear before the stewards. With a sigh, you closed the laptop and went in search of Daniel so you could escort him to where he needed to go since his race had ended early with a crash on the 50th lap.
It was like déjà vu standing in front of his door, tapping your knuckles quietly, but this time his welcome was colder and when you stepped inside there was no smile to greet you.
“Where were you?” he asked as he tossed his phone on the table, your name on the screen with all of his messages that you hadn’t replied to.
“Sorry, I was working and my phone was on silent.” You shifted on your feet as you fought the urge to reach for him and comfort him. “Are you alright? Is Yuki okay?”
“Why don’t you go ask him?”
“Maybe I will,” you said as you started to turn back to the door but he was there in an instant, shutting it closed and sliding the lock into place.
“You don’t go near him. And you definitely don’t make stupid little videos with him.”
Daniel stalked you across his room, taking a step for every one you retreated until your back hit the wall. Still he didn’t stop. Not until he filled your vision and his hands took yours, lifting them above your head and pinning them to the wall.
“You want to get knotted into positions like that, you come see me, kitten. Not Yuki, or any of those other guys.”
Your heart threatened to beat right out of your chest but it wasn’t fear that had it racing when he shoved his knee between your legs and spread them. A soft whimper escaped your parted lips as your skirt rode higher and his thigh brushed over the lace of your panties.
“You want that, don’t you?” he teased as his cheek rested against yours, keeping his lips out of your reach. “Has it been keeping you up at night, kitten?”
You screwed your eyes closed so you didn’t have to see the smirk on his face when you nodded but you felt the breath of his quiet laugh on your neck. “Don’t be shy now. Tell me what you need.”
You bit your lip to keep from voicing what you had fantasised but it didn’t stop him from feeling your body betray you. Your legs tightened around him without thinking and your hips rolled over his thick thigh with a whine for more but he used his body to pin you to the wall, unable to move and finish what you started.
“Is this what you came here for? Because you know I can make you feel good.”
“Yes,” you gasped as you felt every inch of his entire body against yours. But then reality crept in as the throb in your core faded without the friction and you shook your head. “No, stop, I can’t think.”
“Don’t think, just tell me what you need, kitten.”
“The stewards,” you reminded yourself as you pulled your hands free and planted them on his chest. “I have to take you to the stewards, Danny.”
He rocked back on his heels as you pushed against him before he conceded a step back and you could breathe again. Outside of this room he was friendly but inside it he was consuming.
“You are so bloody confusing,” you muttered as you pulled your skirt back into place.
“How so?” he asked over his shoulder as he unlocked the door.
“You act like you want me some of the time and then…it’s just confusing.”
His hand rested on the doorknob but made no effort to turn it. “I want you all of the time, I wanted you from the moment I saw you. I’m only sometimes smart enough to stop myself.”
You crossed the room and opened the door yourself, ignoring the warmth of his skin as you turned the handle he still held. “I wish you would just choose one or the other so I know where I stand. Now let’s go.”
Daniel smirked as you gave him the order to follow and snapped your fingers until he started moving. “Kitty has claws. I like it.”
Tumblr media
Round Three - Australia  Everywhere you looked you saw Danny’s face, posters of him were pasted to the walls and giant cut outs of his head were held up in the packed crowd. The support for him was unbelievable and he was riding the high as he swaggered down the fan walk, signing hats and shirts. It was impossible not to watch his bright smile from where you were organising the tv crews into the order of their live time slots.
The tension between him and the drivers seemed to have eased since you moved roles and they were all getting along once again when they touched down in Melbourne. The same couldn’t be said for you. It was difficult to breathe in the same room as him, or even look him in the eyes when all you could think of was how close your bodies had been, how close your lips had been.
“What’s your poison?” Danny asked in your ear over the loud music, caging your body between his and the bartop. You could feel his body heat through the thin material of the clubbing dress you wore and leaned back into him as his familiar cologne chased away the scent of stale underground air.
“I heard there was a half decent red, do you have a recommendation?” you teased as you looked at the wine menu and saw his bottle of DR3 among the selection.
“Think you can handle it? It’s aged to perfection, with a strong, full body, and has a bit of a kick to it too.”
“That’s quite the mouthful,” you replied as you turned to face him, your eyes lingering on his lips. “Why don’t I taste it and find out?”
If you hadn’t been in a nightclub full of people you fooled yourself into thinking he might have given into the temptation to kiss you but he had pulled away, keeping his lips busy with the beer he ordered instead. And for yet another night you returned to your hotel room alone and longing for something you shouldn’t have any interest in.
“After party tonight,” Daniel whispered in passing after reaching the end of the fan walk. He was gone before you could give him a reply but you caught the wink he threw over his shoulder.
It was a surprise you still had a job considering you did next to nothing as you lost yourself in the race. Daniel had an extraordinary start and took the lead early on, driving defensively to keep Max from stealing it from him. You weren’t the only one in the office fixated on the race as the tv screens were crowded with colleagues and a collective groan rose when Max caught him on a straight.
“Come on, Danny,” you prayed as the laps trickled away and still he was stuck like glue to Max’s rear wing, the rest of the drivers having a race of their own at least 10 seconds behind. “You can do it.”
“He’s waiting for the final DRS zone,” Gianni said from his cubicle next to yours, barely looking up from the report he was writing. “It’s a good strategy, as long as he has some grip left on his tires.”
“What if he doesn’t?”
The technician finally looked up and pushed his glasses up his nose. “Then he’ll be watching the victory lap from the gravel pit at turn three.”
You rose to your feet as the two Red Bull’s passed the start line and the final lap began. The pen you had been chewing on slipped from your trembling fingers as they came out of turn two and Danny’s rear wing opened, the car flying out of Max’s slipstream.
You couldn’t breathe as they hurtled towards the sharp corner and Danny cut across the front of Max just in time to turn into the apex, the back tires barely keeping the line without swinging out. Then just as the race had begun, Daniel was ahead and fighting to keep it that way until he passed the chequered flag.
An excited scream overpowered your colleague’s more sedate murmurs of praise and you apologised as you sat back into your seat with the widest grin on your face.
“What channel are you covering?” Gianni asked as he held his hand out for the radio on your hip.
“Four, marshalls and incidents,” you said with a frown. “Why?”
“I’ll cover you, go catch the podium.”
“Are you sure?” you asked as you unclipped the radio and placed it into his hand.
He clipped it to his belt and waved a hand. “Race is over, it’ll be quiet. Run while you can.”
You didn’t have to be told twice as you pushed your chair in and closed your laptop before rushing out of the building just in time to see the cars pulling into the pits. Your screams were lost with the home crowd who proudly chanted Danny’s name as he stood on top of his halo and threw his hands in the air.
Even with the helmet still firmly in place you knew exactly what smile it was he wore beneath it, one that was mirrored by yours. Pride, awe, joy. You wished you could share the moment with him alone but you would have to share it with the mass of people screaming for him. He still hadn’t given you an answer, he still hadn’t chosen you.
You watched him thrust the trophy high into the air with the anonymity that came with being surrounded by thousands of fans and you felt a single droplet of champagne reach you as he leapt from the podium to turn his bottle on the crowd. For a moment you thought his eyes had lingered where you were but it was impossible to believe he could see you from the stage he celebrated on.
Slipping from the crowd, you wove your way to the back where you could finally have the space to breathe again before continuing to the exit with the fans whose race didn’t end as well as yours.

Your phone was ringing once again and you watched as it went to voicemail for the third time. You had sent him a congratulatory text when you reached your room and had a shower but after ten minutes of staring at the dress you had chosen for the after party you decided you weren’t going to go.
If he couldn’t make the choice of where the two of you stood, you were going to make it for him - alone in your underwear with a bottle of wine that was not as good as his.
You were halfway through the bottle when someone knocked at your door and you paused the tv showing a replay of the post-race interviews and podium celebration. You wanted to tell whoever it was to go away but the next knock was harder and it was Danny who told you to open up.
“What are you doing here?” you asked as you cracked the door open an inch, but he pushed it wider and stepped inside.
“Picking you-” his words drifted off and his steps faltered as the door swung closed and he saw what little you wore. “Wow.”
A slow smile spread over his lips as he closed the distance between you, a large hand drifting behind your back to pull you flush against his body. He smelled fresh from the shower he had taken before leaving his room and your face inched closed to his neck where his cologne was strongest.
“You’re so fucking sexy.”
Your hands found the only space they could between you and you felt the hard planes of his abs beneath your palms as you tried to push him away. “You’re meant to be at your party. You won your home race, don’t you want to celebrate it?”
“Why do you think I’m here?” he said as he cupped your face and stared into your eyes. “I saw you there. In the crowd.” You swallowed as his smile faded and he licked his lips. “I saw you leave.”
“I’m sor-”
“Shh, I’m sorry,” he murmured as his thumbs stroked your cheeks. “I want you so fucking bad.”
A fine tremor worked its way over you in anticipation, the weeks of tension reaching a breaking point where something had to give. “What’s stopping you?”
“People will talk.”
Your tongue wet your lips before you dared him. “Let them.”
His eyes drifted down your body before he dragged them slowly back up. “They’ll say you’re too young.”
“Age is just a number.” You used his own words against him, the words that had lingered in your mind since he had said them to you the first day you met.
“They’ll say you only got your job because of me.”
A small giggle bubbled up as your fingers toyed with the buttons of his shirt. “I’ll show them my degree.”
“You have all the answers, don’t you, kitten?” he smirked.
“No, there’s still one I’m waiting on...”
The moment hung suspended in the air as his brown eyes searched your face for the answer and he swore under his breath. “Fuck ‘em all. You’re mine.”
His kiss was everything you imagined it would be. Dominant, overpowering, consuming. It was a riptide pulling you to sea and the only way to survive was to relax and let it take you, no matter where it led.
So you did.
Your fingers tore through his buttons and shoved the shirt off his shoulders as you broke the kiss with the desperate need for air and instead pressed your lips to the inked letters on his collar, of love and life.
“Bad things?” you asked as you peered up from beneath your lashes.
He chuckled as he reached behind your back and unclasped your bra, brushing the straps off your shoulders. His hot breath teased your nipple before his mouth sealed around it and you gasped at the tight sensation that shot straight to your core.
“Abso-fucking-lutely,” he promised as he grabbed your ass and picked you up, your legs wrapping around his waist. “Very, very bad things.”
“Tell me,” you begged as he pressed you to the walls, grinding his hips into yours. He nipped your bottom lip and smirked as you rolled your hips in response. “Show me.”
“My innocent, little kitten,” he tutted as his hand wrapped lightly around your throat and your eyes fluttered shut with the small squeeze he gave. “I’ll show you everything, all in good time. Tonight, I want to taste you on my tongue when I make you come. Tonight, I want to hear my name on those lips. Tonight, I want to see just how many times you can come undone before I even fuck you.”
He leaned in closer and you shivered as he breathed in your ear while his fingers brushed aside your panties and you moaned as one teased your ass. “Tomorrow, this is mine.”

Tumblr media
the ceiling fan spun in lazy circles, sheer curtains drawn shut and a small portable fan set on the nightstand. the two young lovers were drenched in sweat, despite not having left the bed (or gotten up to anything rated above a pg-13) all day.
the heatwave was a killer, and although they had been warned about the impending inclement weather to the dallas are, neither one had listened.
“ew, mick, your top is soaked through, take it off!”
“so is my skin!” he shot back with a laugh, shaking his head so that droplets of sweat flew off his soaked blond locks. “how’s that going to make any kind of difference?”
“it just will!” his fiancée whined from the bed, where she was lying on top of the sheets in nothing but panties and a grey robbed tank top. “I am literally dying here.”
laughing to himself, mick flopped down on the bed and reached for the tv remote, placing one warm hand on his lovers thigh. it felt like a branding iron on her skin, the simple sweaty contact becoming all too much.
“stop, stop! you’re too hot, I can’t take it!” the shout was followed by the rustling of pillows as she tried to find one that still had a cool side, pressing it over her face in an attempt to cool down
still laughing, mick sunk down on the bed next to her, nimble fingers raking his sweaty hairs away from his eyes as he joined his lover in staring at the ministrations of the ceiling fan.
“you know, this weather is hot, but you’re so much hotter, babe.” mick mused drowsily, turning to face yn.
the woman he loved. the one he was going to marry. there were only a few months now until the wedding, only a few things left to do.
if they could survive this heatwave, that is.
“mick,” she started, pausing for a second as she pulled the pillow away from her face, ready to hit him with it. “what do you have to be so cringe?”
“because you looove me.” mick laughed, leaning over her sweaty body to press kisses all over her face
“mick, you dog!” she shouted in between giggles, fighting the urge to curl her body around his, especially knowing how hot and sweaty she would become if she allowed herself to sink into his loving embrace.
she shoved mick to the side, using the last of her energy to sit up in bed, the gurgle of her stomach echoing throughout the room.
“uber eats?”
“uber eats. and nothing too heavy, the heat will kill my appetite pretty fast.”
moving to the edge of the bed, yn got up and slowly stretched out her sore limbs. she didn’t deal with heat well after having gotten heatstroke watching mick race in singapore a few years prior, hence why she had barely left her bed all day, allowing mick to do yard work and cooking and such.
“I can’t believe I’m saying this,” she started “and it’s likely the only time I ever will. please go and get the ice bath from the garage and make it as cold as humanly possible.”
micks eyes lit up, a devilish smile crossing his features. at the sight of his mischevious grin, yn regretted her decision almost instantly. her lover swept her off her feet, carrying her fireman-style to the garage. she sat on top of her dads old work bench as she watched mick set up the ice bath.
typically, she avoided ice baths like the plague. she found them far too cold, as if she was single handedly reentering the ice age.
but with heat like todays, that seemed to be the perfect answer.
she watched mick set up, his back muscles and shoulder blades moving under his toned skin. “water should be cold, I’ll run inside for some ice.” that smile. that damned cheeky smile. “do you want a swimsuit, or do you want to go skinny dipping. let me tell you which one I would prefer-“
“stop. please. it is too hot for sex today.” she whined, gesturing for him to come closer. “just dump me on the cold water. I want to feel something other than heatstroke.”
mick laughed, picking her up again. “babe, you do not have heatstroke.”
“you don’t know that!”
still laughing, mick leaned over the ice bath and slowly began to lower his lover into the icy water. as the cold water began to touch her, she squealed, flinching back.
“it’s easier if I just drop you right in!”
“well, what are you waiting for!”
with a hearty grin, mick dropped her into the water, stepping back to avoid the splash back.
“holy fuck!” she moaned “god, that feels good.”
“um, excuse you, you never moan like that when I’m the root cause of pleasure.” mick joked, pretending to be offended
she held up her hand, sinking further into the water. “hush. I’d like to meditate in this chilled water, in peace.”
mick knelt next to the ice bath, reaching to playfully tug on her nose. “the ice bath fits two. have room for one more?”
she laughed, turning to kiss him softly. “come on, romeo. of course there’s room for two, we just might need more ice.”
