Judge Claude Frollo X Fem!Demon reader. (Based on an OC)

A woman walked within the shadows of Paris, silent as a mouse. Her skin as white as the snow on the cobbled floor. Her messy long (h/c), streaked with bright green, hair pulled into large pigtails. Pointed ears poke from the mess of hair.

Her dress a smokey black with mint green trim, decorated with a skull clip in the centre. Black and gray striped stockings covering her legs. Black platformed boots giving her a few more inches. Not that she needs it as she already stands at six feet tall.

Her eyes and mouth completely blacked out and in a permanent closed mouth smile. A wide chilling smile with upturned eyes.

The demon stalked through the shadows as she watched the annual Feast of Fools. Keeping an extra close eye on the corrupt Judge.

The demon woman had been keeping a very close eye on the judge. Feeling as her obsession with the human man grows with every passing day.

She had created a small shrine to the mortal in her pocket realm.

She stole pieces of jewelry, clothes, his favourite books, pillows and blankets.

She cut a small lock of his hair off of him while he slept once. Even keeps a small vial of his blood after she cut him on the arm, once again in his sleep.

The demon known as Y/N was engrossed with the corrupt Judge. Obsession is a strange but fascinating concept to her.

She admired the man in black and purple from the shadows of the houses. No one else mattered to her.

That was until... Esmeralda...

Y/N saw the lust within Frollos eyes as she danced. She despised it.

A thick, bubbling rage ignited within her stomach as she glared at the poor unsuspecting woman.

Y/N retreated into the darkness in order to create a plan. And within a few days....

She had one..

Her plan was very quickly set into motion. She tracked down the court of miracles before the judge had gotten there.

The demonic woman went on a rampage within those catacombs...

By the time Claude had made it to the court of miracles...

There was nothing but gore...

Bodies had been strewn up by fabrics, or their own entrails. Corpses ripped open, blood and organs and unprocessed food splattered up the walls and across the entire floor.

Burnt and charred bodies, ripped open, bloodied, gored beyond belief.... Half eaten bodies...

Upon the hanging stage was Quasimodo and captain Phoebus swayed from the ropes. Clopin lay impaled on the rafters... And a hunched over figure..

Y/N was crouched over Esmeralda's bleeding body... Chewing... The sounds of ripping flesh, crunching bones and squelching chewing noises bounced off the cobbled walls.

The judge and guards stood in terrified silence as they watched as this unknown woman, unhinged her jaw and chomps down onto the corpse in her arms.

A guard fainted at the disgusting sights and sounds bouncing from the walls. The woman's head snapped around to look at the noise, a piece of flesh hanging from her mouth.

The demon stood up at an alarmingly fast pace, causing panic to wash over the men. The guards make a dash for the exit.. but Y/N appears from the shadows in front of them.

The gory sounds of ripping flesh and screams of agony rattled within the minds of the living before they died.

Soon enough... Only she and Frollo remained.

Y/N was now coated in blood; head to toe. She slowly advanced towards the Judge.

Frollo, wearing a now blood stained robe, trembled in terror. Was this how he's destined to die?

"I've waited for this moment... For so long.." Y/N cooed.

"Please... I'll do anything.. just don't.. don't hurt me.. please.." Frollo whimpered pathetically.

"Hurt you? My love.. why would I ever hurt you?!" Y/N snapped confused.

"I'd never hurt you darling..."

Y/N reached her hands out to cup his face in her hands causing him to flinch.

"I'd never hurt my mate.." Y/N cooed darkly.

Y/N quickly pulled his head forward and forced him into a kiss. She licked across his bottom lip, demanding entrance.

When he denied she slipped her hand into his trousers causing him to gasp in shock and fear.

Y/N forced her long, thick, grey tongue into his mouth, making sure to explore the entirety of it.

Slurping and struggling noises echoed in the catacombs as Y/N took great pleasure in getting the chance to kiss her beloved, and how he tried to escape her grasp.

She broke the kiss, tongue continuing to play with his as saliva dripped from their mouths.

"I've waited so long for this moment... To take you home.."

And just like that- she pulled Claude into the shadows and disappeared with him.

Judge Claude Frollo was never seen again.. however..

A strange looking woman was often seen buying food from the people in Paris. And soon enough she fell pregnant multiple times and was seen with many demonic children.. that looked suspiciously like Claude Frollo: the missing Judge.

on the kick of movies, i ALSO forgot how good Hunchback of Notre Dame is (analysis ahead btw)

yes, it's a Disney movie (that's why we pirate it lads) so it won't have the same conformation to the novel that another corporation MIGHT have done (still highly doubtful) but it's still so good and holds up so well???

I prefer the musical's nuance when it comes to Frollo, but in the Disney movie he doesn't really need a reason to be "evil" other than just power-hungriness, racism and being a predator. I find it incredibly interesting how they divided the two aspects of his character into Frollo (Judge Version) and the Archdeacon, because when you know the background of his character you understand that complexity even when it's absent from the movie. Also I'm a SLUT for "Hellfire," because not only is the animation sequence DELICIOUS ASF, and the music and lyrics ASTOUNDING, but the overlaying Latin that just contradicts his convictions is SO good, as well as the predatory ideas he's grappling with, and his justification of them through religion and how he's "purer than the common, vulgar, weak, licentious," people of Paris. Even in the cut-and-dry Disney version, he's still a fairly layered character.

I also find it refreshing that Quasimodo's jealousy of Phoebus doesn't cause him to try and tear him down or hurt him; no, he doesn't love Phoebus, especially at first when he thinks he's chasing Esmeralda to hurt or arrest her, but he holds no grudge against him because it's unnecessary. I can't tell if I just got used to other bad movie jealousy plotlines, but it's nice to see that Quasimodo isn't petty as hell just because he's jealous of Phoebus.

Speaking of Phoebus, what a chad

Of course, the score for the movie is brilliant (excluding a guy like you, I'm sorry but i fucking hate it) and the repeating themes of different characters make it feel more like a live theater musical than some of Disney's other musical works. Frollo's "Kyrie Eleison," theme (which is so fucking funny to me by the way, having the Latin/Greek phrase of "Lord have mercy," be Frollo's theme, who doesn't have mercy whatsoever and really just reflects his last moments) is SO so scrummy, I eat that shit up every damn time.

The animation sequences are fairly good throughout the movie, but I find them ESPECIALLY amazing for particular songs like "Hellfire," "Out There," "And He Shall Smite the Wicked (Score)," and "Sanctuary (Score)." The movements are VERY smooth and flow well, and the usage of color in "God Help the Outcasts," is STUNNING.

All in all, I still really enjoy this movie after a long time of not seeing it, and just really enjoy the themes and general collective story of the Hunchback of Notre Dame

I have decided that we should ignore the novel, cause after researching it a little, I found out that basically everyone dies, except Phoebus who's apparently a horrible person in the novel.

Like, I knew Esmeralda dies (in the novel she gets hanged), and Frollo is thrown off the tower, but so many others die too?

Clopin (who we assigned YQY) learns Esmerelda has been accused of attempting to murder Phoebus, even though it was actually Frollo. So he tries to rescue her, as rallying the other criminals and outcasts to storm Notre Dame where she's being kept by Quasimodo (to save her through the church's sanctuary) and as a result dies when Quasimodo hurls stones and timber and Poor's molten lead on the group (which I'll admit is somewhat similar to the PIDW ending).

And, Quasimodo just curls up next to Esmeralda's corpse which just gets tossed aside after her execution, them just let's himself starve to death.

The only one with a happy ending is Phoebus who certainly doesn't deserve it, after he manipulates Esmerelda into sleeping with him. "I know I have no intention of leaving my fiance for you, but you said you loved me and now I'm sad you won't sleep with me." Then he could easily prove Esmeralda's innocence by saying a Frollo was the one who stabbed him, but doesn't, since that would reveal the he was an adulterer. So he just lets Esmerelda hang with no remorse.

Yeah, sorry, nothing to do with the AU, we're going to pretend the novel doesn't exist. I just wanted to rant.

Callahan asked with a small smile amidst his trouble thoughts, amused by the pair's disappointment, which was clear on their face when their mother mentioned it, with Erika pouting, "Phoebus is boring." She was also of the opinion that the Beast wasn't nearly as cool as a human, so clearly, her parents affection for monster-human romances was rubbing off on her.

"Why can't she be with Quasi?" Lon asked, arms folded as Colin shrugged with a wry smile of his own, "I, uh...I don't know, lad. Guess you'd have to take it up with the writer."

"Well...Esmeralda may not have ended up being romantically involved with Quasimodo," Josephine ventured to suggest, saying, "But that doesn't mean he lost out on having her in his life. They may not be a couple, but clearly, she still treasures him as a friend, and I think that's very important too."

Though Erika couldn't completely argue with that logic, she still felt firm in her belief that the pair should've been together in the end, something that made Randall chuckle-he was sure that belief would only further be solidified once she saw the 1923 film. Phoebus, while not the cad he was in the novel, still wasn't as heroic (or as humorous) as his animated counterpart, a very boring, safe romantic interest compared to Quasimodo, in Randall's opinion, and he was sure his children would agree.

But such lighter topics didn't linger for long: While Josephine took the empty bowl of popcorn back to the kitchen, asking the twins to come and help her clean up (with August tagging along, the Burke parents both having sensed the tension in the room, and felt it'd be best to give the Paces a little space), the Pace brothers, as soon as they were alone, moved to embrace not only their brother and sister-in-law, but their nephew and his wife as well.

"Wil...he told us everything," Colin confirmed shakily, fresh tears sprouting in wide blue eyes, with Wilhelm nodding to Randall and Emily, "I hope you two mind me telling 'em before you could, but we just got to talkin', and...well, it all just came out."

"I understand, Pa," Randall nodded back, his heart breaking for his uncles, who looked so shaken, all their jovialness, all their light-heartedness, having been replaced by a silent horror and heartbreak, now that they knew the awful truth.

Wilhelm began, placing his hands on his brothers' shoulders: The last thing he wanted was for them to feel guilty, not knowing what was happening to him in the States, but it was too late, both Colin and Callahan had an unshakable, overwhelming sense of guilt, a string of what-ifs filling their minds.

"We helped!" Lon declared proudly through a mouthful of popcorn, and even Erika smiled a little and nodded-it had actually been really fun, helping Grandma Josephine out. It was a lot like being in the kitchen with Grandma June, and that helped Erika feel a little more at ease about pitching in.

And watching her favorite movie also helped her feel a little more comfortable being around these new family members, admittedly, able to forget about her anxieties in favor of colorful animation and wonderful music, with the hot, sweet kettle corn being an additional bonus. Laying on her stomach watching the movie, Erika felt more content than she had the day before, and smiled as she relaxed. Maybe this visit wouldn't be so bad after all!

Meanwhile, Lon, sitting up beside his sister, was still trying to figure out what this "burlesque" was that his family kept talking about-it involved dancing, performing, but the specifics he couldn't quite figure out. When Esmeralda began her dance at the Feast of Fools, Lon turned back to ask his great-grandmother curiously, "Is that burlesque?"

"Ah, not quite," Josephine chuckled amusedly, though she could see some similarities there, between herself and La Esmeralda: Performing flirtatious, provocative dances for an appreciative audience (with some disapproving figures in the crowd as well), being looked down on because of it, but still remaining kind despite all that? Yes, that all sounded rather familiar to her...

everything was okay. he was having fun, he didn’t feel like running out of the ball. he was enjoying himself. it was satisfying to him-- how far he’d come. how he didn’t cop himself in his room everytime he could. how he had friends now. actual friends that cared for him, and who he cared about. and while some of them came and went, he’d never forget them. 

the moment everything started to violently shake, and everyone ran for safety he did the same. but it didn’t matter how scared he was, heart almost close to jumping out of his chest, the french man decided to help as many as people as he could. he could see some other students doing the same, he was glad that in moments like this, everybody became one. 

he figured right in that moment, his teleportation powers would’ve come really handy, but alas he had been one of the students to lose them. still, it didn’t stop him from carrying people to safe zones. 

zephyr was looking for more people that could’ve been hurt, when he saw someone a few meters away really close to a pole that looked like it was so close to giving away. “watch out!” he screamed as he sprinted as fast as his legs still allowed, the man tackled the person out of the way, but the next thing he felt was a severe pain in his chest, his vision getting blurry and then-- darkness.

zephyr sebastien de chateaupers wasn’t a hero, and he wouldn’t consider himself as such. he just wanted to make his parents proud-- and he had done so, since the moment he was born.

I had music on shuffle and I got to Out There, soundtrack form The Hunchback of Notre Dame (one of my childhood favorite Disney movies alongside Anastasia and Alice in Wonderland and Little Mermaid and Snow White and - ALL OF THEM OK?) so here's what I think:

"It's I alone whom you can trust in this whole city

I am your only friend

I who keep you, teach you, feed you, dress you

I who look upon you without fear

How can I protect you, boy, unless you

Frollo says these to Quasimodo, singing with fake sympathy in his voice and fake kindness with thinly veiled power in his eyes and the abuse dynamics between them are just classic.

Frollo was a classist, racist asshole with power who hunted down and killed gypsies migrating to France (he likened them to ants you can crush beneath your feet before they build themselves a colony and take your city out from under you).

He killed Quasimodo's mother on the doorsteps of Notre Dame and would've killed Quasimodo had the bishop not stopped him. To shut the bishop up, he took baby Quasimodo in and decided he might be useful in the future.

He shut Quasimodo away in the bell towers, not letting him show his face to anyone because according to Frollo, "You are deformed (says Frollo)

I am deformed (Quasi)

And you are ugly

And I am ugly

And these are crimes

For which the world

Shows little pity"

Frollo is cutting him off of any and all human contact that could tell him otherwise - yes all of France was classist, ableist and white-ruled, but then there were people like Esmeralda (poc/gypsy) and Phoebus (privileged white army general) who were his friends.

Quasimodo could've found friends, had a support network that weren't talking gargoyle statues or church bells. He could've been told it's ok to be born this way, that there was nothing wrong with him, but he was stuck with Frollo who constantly reminded him of how deformed and ugly and useless and powerless he is and how the world would reject him and hate him the second he went into it, even if he'd done nothing wrong.

He keeps reminding Quasimodo that he understand nothing of the real world and even the things he's been taught by Frollo won't be enough for him to be out there. Frollo won't teach him enough about it so that Quasi has to rely on him at every turn. That's how the catastrophe happens when Quasimodo goes out for the festival and his identity is revealed. He's afraid, he's panicking, he's being attacked, and I can only think how the only thing that could've been running through his mind at that moment was "Frollo was right he was always right I should've listened to him they hate me I should've stayed inside." Which just furthers cements in his mind that he can't do a thing and that he needs Frollo to survive and that no one wants him.

And he has guilt tripped Quasimodo into thinking he's wrong to ever think he could go out there and have a nice time, wrong to think he'd even be accepted, wrong to think he'd ever manage for even a second on his own. He's always heavily emphasizing on how Quasi should rely on him.

Before I go on to Quasi's part of the song, I'd like to state how similar their dynamic is to Rapunzel/Mother Gothel. Making them believe they're incapable of surviving on their own because they're so weak and unwanted and the world is such a cruel monstrosity.

Frollo also reminds me of SS Colonel Hans Landa in Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds. I Wonder Why. Of course, Landa was a different type of motherfucker but they both had a thing against marginalized people.

Now Quasi is playing with his wooden Paris model, singing this and the sheer amount of yearning for freedom in this verse always gives me goosebumps.

If I was in their skin

Now something here always, always hits me hard.

"Heedless of the gift it is to be them."

Quasi is describing the nuances and details of normal, everyday Parisian life going on below him

But just as no one knows, what Quasimodo is going through, he doesn't know what they're going through. He just sees the surface, and as much as he might or might not know that it's just a beautiful surface covering a decaying, rotten interior, he still wants to be part of it because it's the only different thing from the abuse he's known all his life (which he doesn't know is counted as abuse because HE DOES NOT KNOW ANY DIFFERENT. Frollo and his ways are literally all he's ever known.)

I'd like to point out how well this beautiful surface/rotten interior thing they depicted here goes along well with the French royalty before the French revolution. The animation is set in 1482, 3 centuries before the revolution, so the opulence and the class difference is a lot worse. Nicely done, Disney.

Back to the lyric that hit me hard;

Other than the other connotation that I noted, this sentence also implies to me how individuality is never an option in the bigger scheme of society. You're just another person to be viewed from above.

Also:

In another person's eyes, we are always elevated because everyone have their own problems (which CANNOT be compared with another person's in magnitude or ANYTHING because even though individuality means nothing in socialism, in interpersonal relationships it is heavily important. Please do not compare your pain with others'.) and to others, a smooth exterior is enough to deem us lucky to live and be.

In the end? If that's what it takes to "have a gift to be us" then why not think of ourselves the same way? Why should we only think of others like that? We are our own biggest helpers. Sole biggest helpers.

Esmeralda review-Musical edition

Alright,so this will be my little review of the musical Esmeraldas.Keep in mind thise are only my opinions.

Also,i'll be reviewing only the original casts.

Maybe i'll also do this about the movie versions,who knows?

Anyway,with that said,let's start:

Hélène Ségara (original French production)

To be honest,when i first saw the musical i didn't really like Hélène and her performance.She seemed too stiff and kind of emotionless.Her voice was flawless however.But as i rewatched the musical,i slowly started to fall in love with Hélène's version of Esmeralda.She was beautiful,graceful,sweet,innocent,naive and mysterious.Her movements were slow and mellow,but very graceful.She wasn't sexy.Just like Hugo's Esmeralda.It's also worth mentioning that even though her movements might seem rather normal and too watered down by today's standards,this story takes place in 1482.Back then,these kinds of movements would be seen as provocative.Moreover,her rare smiles,grimaces,eye rolls and overall facial expressions helped establish Esmeralda's mysterious nature.Of course,this doesn't mean that Ségara had a blank face during the whole musical.No,you could clearly tell what emotion she was feeling in every scene.Overall,i believe Ségara did an amazing job playing Esmeralda.In fact,in my humble opinion,she was the most accurate version of Hugo's original Esmeralda.

2. Lola Ponce (original Italian production)

Unlike Ségara,Lola was very energetic and had very engaging stage presence.Her movements were high in energy but still graceful.Innocent,but still slightly sexual.Her voice was also very powerful and beautiful.Lola is an amazing actress,because each and every facial expression she makes is absolutely perfect for the scene and situation she's in.Even though her movements are fast and expressive,they perfectly represent childishness and curiousity of a 16 year old girl.Despite the fact that Lola's Esmeralda is very different from her book counterpart,it's a unique and interesting way of portraying her.

3. Tahis Ciurana (original Spanish production)

Although i couldn't find any videos of Tahis' stage performance,i've listened to her vocal performance.Unfortunately,that's all i'm basing my judgement on since there seem to be no visuals of her (except for pictures).Anyway,Tahis has a beautiful and powerful voice.Her voice is deeper than any of the other Esmeralda's that i've heard.Interestingly,this only adds to the mature and mysterious nature of the Spanish Esmeralda.Her vocal control is also perfect.She oversings a lot,but it doesn't really effect the listener's overall enjoyment.

4. Tina Arena (original English production)

(Again,i couldn't find any gifs😭)

Out of all of these versions and singers,people seem to have the most resentment towards Tina and the English version of the musical altogether.Though i personally don't hate Tina,i do have some issues with her performance.As most people have already pointed out,she isn't good at belting.Beacuse of this,her voice sounds nasal,which can be really annoying.She has good emotions and is really convincing.I haven't been able to find any visual recordings of her performance,and ones that i found were in really poor quality.Due to this,just like with Thais,i can't judge her stage presence.Oh,and one more thing (though this isn't really directed at Tina nor is it her fault): Why is Esmeralda's dress red?Don't get me wrong,red looks great on Arena,but this isn't really the problem.Esmeralda's dress has to be green (at least the musical's version of it).Why?It's simple really;La Esmeralda means emerald in Spanish.The original Esmeralda from the book got her name thanks to her necklace with a green emblem that resembled an emerald.Musical Esmeralda doesn't have this necklace.Therefore,her dress was green in order to justify her name.Making her dress red kind of destroys the reason behind her name.Also,musical's Esmeralda wore green in order to stand out.In case you haven't noticed,every character in the musical wears one colour that represents them.Quasimodo wore red,Frollo wore black,Phoebus wore silver,Fleur-de-Lys wore pink etc.This was done on purpose in order to make the characters stand out from the background and extras around them.Also,it helps the audience in quickly identifying each character and connecting with them without getting lost or confused.So then,why make Tina's dress red?Especially if Quasimodo is already wearing this colour?It makes no sense.I wouldn't have been having issues with the red dress if they gave Esmeralda an emerald necklace that could be easily spotted and recognised by the audience.But they didn't.Moreover,red is considered a colour of bad luck for Romani people.So yeah...

5. Светлана Светикова (original Russian production)

Personally,i liked Светлана's performance.She has a very nice voice that she manages to control almost perfectly.I didn't like the fact that her voice sometimes sounded too whiney and slightly provocative.She also seems to "suffer" from the same problem that Lola's Esmeralda does.Her performance is highly energetic and slightly sexual.Though admitedly,not on the same level as Lola's.Светикова also seems to be the perfect Esmeralda appearance wise.She looks almost identical to how i always imagined Esmeralda to look like.Long black hair,black doe eyes and childish and innocent face.Of course,Esmeralda's looks aren't the only thing that makes her.As i previously said,Russian Esmeralda is similar to the Italian one in a sense that they are both energetic and childish,but still slightly sexual and provocative.And in spite of them being fun to watch on stage,they are almost complitely different to the original book verion of the character.

i'm glad we all seem to agree that twst frollo looks extremely bully-able lmao. like i cannot take him seriously and all i've done is look at the man. but still. very bully-able. yet again another character who does not know how to cut their own hair lol

it also seems that malleus will be like esmeralda's equivalent in the event apparently?? won't be complaining about that cuz both esmeralda and malleus are sO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL BUT i wonder if twst will introduce other characters based off of hunchback of notre dame later on. like an actual character twisted from esmeralda. and quasimodo too. maybe even phoebus lol. just wondering in general

you can bet that i will yet again be listening to the hunchback of notre dame's soundtrack on repeat. this is a must

Ermal and Fabrizio having a movie night, just the two of them

They chose Hunchback of Notre Dame because libero has to write about it at school and they want to be good parents and help him

Fabri keeps pointing out the similarities between esmeralda and ermal

(“look she’s pretty! her hair is bushy too ermal” “ohhhh she’s so sassy, ermal are you sure you’re not esmeralda” “fabri shut up and watch the damn movie”)

Ermal gets really into the story though and he wants to tease fabri too

so when they got to this part ermal threw fabri a look

Fabri laughs, he knows what it means

Ermal wants to reenact the scene

They do this sometimes for fun, they did it once when anita asked ermal to be snow white before and it has stuck ever since

So fabri, who’s already lying down on the couch, starts to pretend to be in pain

And ermal the drama queen says esmeralda’s line without problem

“You’re lucky. That arrow almost pierced your heart…”  He even throws the sassy, seductive hair flick in

Fabrizio smirks, taking ermal’s hands towards his chest “…I’m not so sure it didn’t”

Ermal, trying very hard to contain his laughter, leans down to kiss fabri

That’s when fabri breaks character, wrapping his arms around ermal and pressing their bodies close, all the while smiling into the kiss

The movie continues to play but they can’t really concentrate anymore

The next week when libero goes to ermal for help with his essay ermal goes “maybe papa bizio wants to join in as well?” and fabri groans

“Greetings. I am Phoebus. It means, "Sun God”. And you are?“ Phoebus asked introducing himself. "P.J. and this is Zizzi.” I spoke introducing us to him. “Is this some kind of interrogation?” Esmeralda asked to Phoebus. “I believe it’s called an introduction.” Phoebus stated on the obvious.

“You’re not arresting me?” Esmeralda asked. “Not as long as you’re in here. I can’t.” Phoebus spoke. As long as Esmeralda’s in the church, she cannot be arrested for what happened in the Feast of Fools. “Well, that’s good. Even for us.” I said making a sigh.

“Now, what is your name?” Phoebus asked to Esmeralda. “Esmeralda.” She replied. “Beautiful.” Phoebus smiled. “Much better than Phoebus anyway.” She stated as Frollo showed up. “Good work, captain. Arrest them.” Frollo commanded. “Claim ‘sanctuary’.” Phoebus whispered to us.

“We call sanctuary!” I shouted. “What was that?” Frollo asked. “I’m sorry, sir. These two claimed sanctuary and so did she. There’s nothing I can do.” Phoebus spoke about me, Zizzi and Esmeralda.

Zizzi had just appeared while the festival of fools was just getting started. She would sneak around the crowds as she kept trying to get a good look around the area. She was trying her hardest to not get noticed.

Quasimodo, the Hunchback of Notre Dame always wanted to go to the Feast of Fools, but his “master”, Judge Claude Frollo had kept him from going, because of the hunchback’s ugly appearance.

However he sneaked out of the cathedral, and was crowned the King of Fools. All of a sudden, Frollo’s thugs began to throw tomatoes at Quasimodo. But then, a gypsy woman known as Esmeralda had appeared next to Zizzi.

“Quick, help me untie him.” Esmeralda spoke to Zizzi.
