throw back thursday one you have maybe seen over and over photo by jay, a dude, like me who is on the uprise mcyc crew photo on the 7” for some reason or another... it’s FP at the wetlands 97(?) i am forever grateful for the good the bad the dumb the fun & ignorant times i got to share with many people who have come and went who i maybe met through just being upfront and doing dumb hxc kids things to the bands of the time like floorpunch and ensign and kill your idols and one4one and fat nuts and who ever else was playing out often around the area. even if i felt like an alien in that crowd even if i never really felt like i connected and made meaningful friendships with in that scene i my always felt like many of the people there were going through that very same experience. i’m glad more than 1/2 my life has past and i still have this photo and i still have these memories and i still have these sort of shows bands music to look forward to always glad it keeps on keeping on carried forth new wave by new wave of the weirdos & freaques, the angry kids who aren’t really that in-touch with their emotions, the fuck ups and rejects who just happen to find dancing and diving more fun then most other things saturday nights might offer. Mid-Cities Youth Choir - Emmanuel Church

Shameless proud mom: This is my daughter’s choir group at our church. My nieces are also in it, and I’m proud to know most of these kids from helping out during Dollar Dinners on Tueday night Kids’ Klub.

These are awesome kids who love singing and love God. We’re so privileged to have Rachel and Kue Thomas leading these children!

It's been seven years since you passed but I still remember being shocked that you passed away so young, seemed so healthy, everything was perfect but God wanted another angel, and he called on you. It was a week after teen week at MCYC and I never really got a chance to get to know you, just seen a glimpse of your personality but that's all I needed to know what a great person you were. Every time I seen you or talked to you I couldn't help but have a smile on my face or laugh at something you'd say. Or the fact that you were the cutest kid around! I will never foget when you gave me a hug at my baptism, and the fact when I got my pictures developed the one of you and I never showed up. I guess God knew I didnt need a picture to remember you by. He knew I would always remember you. I miss you bud. Rest easy until we meet again.
