I just had an idea

Flirting with nonhuman au feathery characters except there's so much confusion because a lot of the usual behaviors for either side doesn't really translate at times (plus not a lot of humans in the AU means that all the humans have differing accounts of good flirting techniques plus small sample size so not sure what's a good commonality)

So the Reader/Yuu does a last ditch effort to flirt via courting dance. They got a cloak/robe on to help emulate some of wing movements and they are all nice and decked out with some colorful things.

Just a silly idea lol (they could always communicate but then again a lot of the twst cast can have intimidating personalities plus who doesn't get a bit nervous with their crush)

Doing a dance and song but so that it's familiar (like trying to impress someone by cooking a dish they're familiar with from home but that you don't really know how to do but you try anyway except it's flirting in this situation lol)

Not gonna lie, when thinking about mating dances I do think of cute silly stuff but also something like that scene from American Dad.
