I've been feeling boooored out of my mind lately, so what's better than openin' up an ask blog?

NOTHING!!!!

BUT Before you go nuts with the asking, I think it's best I throw down some rules for the weirdos n curious squiddos out there...

ABSOLUTELY NO NSFW. There will be no exceptions. Anything sexually explicit or graphic will be ignored or deleted.

OOC questions can be asked sometimes! But I would suggest going to the owners blog and asking there. Owner will be linked at the end. To help with organization, OOC posts will start with "🧑:"

Posts about Pearlina are allowed, for I myself am a heavy Pearlina shipper, but every question will be answered in the most canonical way possible. I would also prefer, if you for the most part stray away from constant shipping questions, but that's just my preference.

This is a parody, but NOT a roleplay account. I'm not going to answer roleplay asks.

I'm going to try my best to stay as close to canon as possible. Any asks mentioning lore-important things that haven't been confirmed in the Splatoon franchise will not be answered. Possibly SOME exceptions to smaller things.

so i was getting mad about how any video of “wHaT iF oRdEr WoN?” And it’s just an ai pearl cover of unconsous.

Marina 😳

I'll be honest, I haven't thought about her much (well, recently. I think I did during S2 but unfortunately that is all gone from my brain).

First impression: I thought she was pretty! It was also interesting that we got an octoling idol, and I was interested in learning about her in the game (since at the time playable octolings were only available via hacks).

Impression now: I found it funny that no one (in game) cared that she was an octoling. So like Cuttlefish is freaking out about the Octarian Invasion and all the other inklings are just like "oh, hey what's up" (I can't remember if the "they just thought Marina was a weird looking inkling" was a NA thing or not, but it's good either way). Also learning that she flew through Octavio's ranks at a crazy young age was both impressive and... a little messed up? I mean inklings aren't a whole lot better for blowing each other up for sport, but. Marina was making superweapons when she was like. 9. She's a good girl though! I feel like she's the "do no harm but take no shit" kind of person.

Favorite moment: I liked the chat logs during Octo Expansion! I was rereading them, and I especially liked when her and Pearl are sharing old photos they have of each other. Pearl posts the picture where Marina's half-asleep on a squid-Pearl plush just as she signs back in and is like PEARL! [MCPRINCESS has left the chatroom] (Session 4). Unfortunately they live together, but fortunately Pearl is tiny and her house is huge so hiding is easy for her (Marina would find her anyway, or Pearl would get lonely and go looking for her instead)(she's probably in the garage). Getting her backstory was also sweet!

Idea for a story: I wanted to do something for how they met, though it'd deviate from canon... I mostly just thought it'd be funny to have Marina lost in Inkopolis until Pearl ask her like "you fuckin' lost?" (not intending to swear) and then be immediately grateful when Marina has a very tentative grasp on Inkling. As a fan of Octavio's music (headcanon), Pearl knows a little Octarian. This post is becoming very much about Pearl (sorry).

Unpopular opinion: I am Out Of The Loop and do not know what is popular or not. So... Muscular, mostly from her time in the Octarian Army and as a mechanic; she doesn't begrudge Octavio for her time in the military, and neither do most escaped octolings. Though it can be a bit of a sore spot for her, that's mostly because she's worried what people (Pearl) would think.

Favorite relationship: Pearl! I like how much they support each other, no matter what. Definitely ride or die. They seem like an unlikely duo and are pretty much visual and emotional polar opposites, but they work really well together. I feel like they found each other when they were both at a pretty low point in their lives, so they've already seen the worst (and stuck together anyway/helped pull each other up with music). Marina is probably the only person who can get Pearl to calm down when she's angry, but she knows when it's best to just leave her alone for a bit.

Favorite headcanon: She probably does math questions for fun. Absolutely has multiple sudoku books and does a puzzle or two before bed. Marina now has multiple motorcycles (courtesy of Pearl), and has learned to be careful about even mentioning in passing that she likes something because there is a high chance Pearl will remember and buy it for her.

If you read manhwa, you might be thinking "Hey, I know that guy! That's the cold black-haired red-eyed duke from the North territory who's efficient yet cool to his subordinates and secretly has a tender heart and falls in love with the main girl!"

Well you're RIGHT!

THE PREMISE: Main Girl... she had a weird name I think lemme look it up- no, her name is normal, she's just Sonia. But HIS name is Ark McGuine of the country of BRIGANDIA.

I like to headcanon that the bandits overthrew the monarchy and now it's all an anarcho-syndochist commune, but of course it isn't.

So Bark McWolfknight falls in love with the missing princess because she was abused and lonely and sad and all alone and it's SO SAD that he can't help falling in love with her even when she's OBVIOUSLY dead from that carriage attack and she's right over there. She's living under a new name with her old nanny and coach driver. She's fine. They fall in love for some reason.

I skipped because even though this is supposed to be Generic Fantasy Light Novel Not-Germany Land, they all talk like modern teenagers? Like I dunno how much of that is translation choice or not, because I skipped a bunch, but I DO know that I skipped a fuckin' BUNCH and went 2/3rds of the way into the book?

Back and McPrincess were having hot dogs.

Maybe it was the Discworld guy. I gave up on the book after that. The romance was dumb and it was written badly. NEXT!

Dream of 7/5/23

This one was splatoon related and what happened was side order came out but I had slept through the initial release so when I woke up in the dream, I was like FUCK I have to download it still and so I’m like haven’t eaten at all or anything and I feel sooo fatigued in the dream and also just as if I’ve been shot. but anyways, Side order was one long movie instead of a game/game dlc. It was straight up a movie and it wasn’t even about anything related to splatoon at all until like an hour and a half in. There were these 3 main characters (THIS IS A LIVE ACTION MOVIE BTW) i dont remember their names or what the plot really was all I remember was that they wanted to go into the deep ocean to retrieve something. There was like some sort of machine in the middle of the ocean polluting the waters and they wanted to destroy it while on this quest to retrieve this item thing. Once they founded and touched the item there was some multiverse shit that happened and they got sucked into splatoon world. Where the movie was now animated but like the previous 3 characters were still like. real live action. They try to fit in inside the splatoon world and they go on the splatoon equivalent of omegle and they connected with Pearl and Marina I remember so vividly pearl was doing some epic dance moves and I noticed that their usernamed weren’t MCprincess or DJHyperfresh I remember this cause I was so mad that their usernames werent faithful to the games. I dont even remember what their usernames was but I know it wasn’t their normal ones. marina and pearl were the only ones who knew about the item and what it can do but so did the 3 main characters so they had to group together to find it again cause it got lost or something. And the 3 characters had a lot in common with pearl and marina and they were like best friends but I hated the main characters so much. There was no lore for them or anything and they werent anything like why are they there. There was some salmonid who was evil and was polluting the waters and also he had the item and was using it as a power source or something idk. I dont remember anything else other than I hated this goddamn movie.

Then another dream happened where i was home (i think) and i wanted to play this new game that came out but unknowing to me it was actually very dangerous and I could die irl. I dont remember what it was called but you had to buy this subscription off this website and you got a random lootcrate with random buffs/debuffs in it. and I was fighting someone (dont remember who) and I had gotten really unlucky stuff but it was also weird and that every now and then you got a quest/contract where if you didn’t do what it said in the next x minutes something bad would happen. So one of my tasks was to purify this possessed sonic doll where if you stared too long into its eyes it would fire a laser from its eyes and like. explode you. and so what I had to do with limited time was to try and look at it and then quickly make it look into a mirror where the laser would cartoonishly bounce off the mirror and destroy the doll but I fucked up and I couldn’t get rid of it and it just exploded in my hand. It was very gmod style where nothing bad happened like everything was still intact but I could hear this ringing noise and my vision got blurry for like 5 seconds and it was gone. At this point im starting to realize how shit this game is and I just want it to stop but I had to keep going until my subscription was used entirely i remember getting both a really good item and a bad one it was like, if I got hit by anyone or anything I would drop like 5 bombs and they would explode in random directions and the person I was fighting was decked out like +57 luck stat, the same bomb thing I had, and like a different array of buffs and I was like. what the fuck... I kept getting shitty/useless debuffs and eventually my opponent kills me and like, in my dream I go into spectator mode slkfhklhsglk and im just like badmouthing this fucking person who killed me and then like I was alive again (respawned) and the game finally was done and I was just like that sucked so much. I also had to play fnaf irl in one of my contracts it wasnt good it sucked.
