HE WASN'T IN THE BEST MOOD AS OF LATE. dylan knew what it was, but he couldn't really do anything about it. no matter what he did, the man couldn't sleep. which is how he found himself at a diner in the m i d d l e of the night. the workers used to him already at this point. his hearing aids next to him on the table as he stared blankly at the journal in front of him. when he felt someone sit across from him, he didn't glance up. just put the aids back on and sighed to his sister. "you didn't have to come all the way here." he spoke softly.

Kris had been a little on edge these past few weeks with the new attacks going on around town. She was almost starting to doubt her decision to move back here with Parker. It had its pros though like for one, they were surrounded by supernatural creatures and didn't have to hide who they were anymore... and of course the fact that her family is here. She's even trying to reconnect with Jon but she hasn't broached that topic with the rest of her family yet and isn't sure she's going to. Distracted from her thoughts as Parker got up and ran out towards the ice, Kris looked up and called after them. "Parker!" she yelled. "Do not go out on the ice without your skates on!" Turning towards her sister who was sitting beside her putting on her own skates, Kris shook her head laughing. "They're a little too excited... We didn't get the chance to skate much in Paris... They only opened the ice skating rink during the winter months." @mcnstercus

It wasn't that Saskia was trying to keep secrets from her siblings, but it just worked out that she was too busy to see any of them lately. Especially after the attacks, Saskia was constantly at the hospital. She wasn't a fellow anymore, she was a full fledged neurosurgeon and a damn good one. They needed her there. So now that she had a small break, she figured she should try to see at least a few of her siblings, and Silas happened to be the one available first. "If I tell you something, can you.. not tell the others?" she asked. Her engagement ring was concealed beneath the neckline of her shirt, attached to a long necklace chain. It was the easiest way to wear it at work.

Isa honestly didn't think she would say yes when she invited her out today... Even though it was a long time ago, she ended things with Clarissa to return home to sea because it was her duty. Just because she had to leave didn't make it easier on her or Clarissa. They were really just starting to talk again. It felt like Clary was starting to let her guard down some with Isa again and the future queen was more than grateful for that. She asked her to go to the wedding with the hope that they could rekindle what they had. Standing in the middle of the dance floor, moving to a slow song and staring into each other's eyes, Isa began to feel a little nervous. She chuckled softly and shook her head before looking back at Clary. "I was just thinking how perfect this night would be if they had a taco bar," she said. "But anyway... I wanted to thank you for coming here with me. I was surprised you said yes." @mcnstercus

@mcnstercus (Alex) God, how was she supposed to face her best friend? She had left him, something she had never done before. He needed her and she knew that and she had just... given up. But once he heard she was back, he invited her over. He hadn't said anything about being upset with her, but that didn't mean he wasn't. So she arrived at her old house that she had given to him and Mariza, pausing before finally knocking on the door.

Aristotle strolled along, clutching a digital camera in his hand, scrolling through a mishmash of photographs from his travels. They were tucked away on a random SD card he had stumbled upon while tidying up his loft. A furrow formed on his brow as the battery suddenly died, but he found some solace in the interruption, considering that a few of the emerging images were casting a shadow on his mood rather than lifting it. Regardless, he resolved to have them printed as keepsakes of his journey — call it sentimental or nostalgic. Pausing to process everything, he took a seat on the nearest bench, he let out a sigh, glancing over at the girl beside him as an afterthought. Pausing to observe her and her book for a moment, he eventually broke the silence, "...What are you reading about?" Aristotle inquired, his curiosity piqued momentarily. ( @mcnstercus )

Even though they'd been broken up for the past few months, Taelyn would always care for him and support him in any way that she could. Kieran hadn't been in the best place since his father died so Taelyn kept a watchful eye on him. That's how she noticed that he hadn't been out grocery shopping this week. She decided to do it for him, knowing what he liked and didn't like since they'd been together on and off for years. She showed up at his doorstep with bags of groceries in hand as she rang the doorbell and waited for him to answer it. When the door opened, she smiled softly and said, "I noticed your fridge was kind of empty when I was over yesterday so I got you a couple of things." @mcnstercus

" TOTALLY UNDERSTANDABLE. " he spoke softly. cassian didn't want to ever have to even imagine how anyone in their family might be feeling. " it's not a great feeling when there is so much happening but nothing to be done... but just being there TRYING and supporting is all anyone can do. hopefully it all settles soon. " he offered. it wasn't enough, he knew that, but it was truly all he could do. " just let me know if there is anything else i can do to help you. "

"I'm okay, or well as okay as I can be," he said, knowing his sugars have been absolutely crazy since the attack. "I'll be fine once everything settles down again. I'm just worried about Maggie, and of course Alex too."

Ariadne watched her new sister-in-law sit catatonically in the armchair. She was devastated upon hearing about her brother's condition and she could only imagine how Mariza was feeling. The older woman had been through a lot in her life and had learned how to process feelings and be a woman of action. The blonde had much fewer experiences in this field. Therefore, Ariadne was stepping in for her family, her whole family, and helping get to the bottom of fixing it. Turning away from Mariza, Ariadne faced the other people in the room. She glanced at Astra, almost seeking reassurance. There was a lot more whirring in her mind than just her brother, there was more layers to her guilt. She took a deep breath, "Okay. What have we got to go on?" she asked.

avery had been so busy as of late she'd forgotten to do her groceries, it was 30 minutes before the shop closed and she was running around like a chicken without a head. so distracted by her list she hadn't noticed that she was about to collide with a mans shoulder, hitting his back her groceries fell from the basket and to the ground. "fuck." she muttered, shaking her head as she bent down to pick up the scattered items. "i'm so sorry - honestly i'm trying to get my shopping done before they close i don't need them hexing me for anything."

THE ORIGINAL VAMPIRE COULD ONLY SIGH–- as much as he believed this was a conversation azlee should have with his niece, he couldn't ease her curiosity even if he wanted to. "unfortunately i can't tell you much. you're mother, like the rest of us, keeps her secrets." he tone was terse. lucian couldn't help but think of a time that he could say the two eldest sibling knew everything about each other. "i didn't know about your father until after she had already left him and came back here." lucien had been upset about that at the time of learning about it all, but also felt like he wasn't allowed to feel that way since she went through so much. "i'd say ask your mother, but i do know my sister... she might just brush a lot of it off. you shouldn't still try." he gave her a pointed look. "however, if you want to know more... i'd suggest asking the dragon."

"Yeah..." she said, Audrey knew some stories about how the Blackthornes were there for each other no matter what, even when they weren't getting along. "Did you... or do you all know about my Mom's relationship with my Dad, what it was like?" she questioned, unsure if she ever told them, or they saw. While she kept in contact with Azlee following leaving home, anything about her Dad was a topic that they rarely spoke about in their letters.

She'd given the heads up that she was coming early, so she figured she'd bring some greasy McDonalds takeout breakfast foods to really make the most out of it. It was only eight in the morning, but she'd been up since before six to get in some early morning gym time. "Get your sleepy butt out here or I'm going to come in there and jump on the bed," she yelled, setting the bag on the kitchen counter.
