Kicking this off with my head cannon of who in the Mystreet universe I think would be a ✨Swiftie✨

Garroth- 10000% he BLASTS 1989 24/7!! Several noise complaints from neighbors

Laurence- Cadenza got him into her music and he’s bonded with Garroth over it so yea he’s a solid “casual” Swiftie

Aphmau- HELL yes!!! Her and Garroth are menaces when they get to fangirl in the same room she totally went with him to the eras tour

Aaron- he claims he only listens to her because of Aph but he for sure cries to every single song on Evermore

KC- surprisingly no, I think she’s supportive but definitely more of a Kpop girlie.

Zane- yes but he pretends not to be

Travis- yes but he can’t listen to 1989 anymore after being Garroth’s roommate (even tho it wasn’t that long)

Dante- thinks she’s hot but hasn’t really listened past her singles (except 1989- which he sings along to every time he hears it)

Katelyn- she enjoys her music (loves to see a strong confident woman) but doesn’t really go out of her way to listen

Gene- he wouldn’t realize he was listening to Taylor swift ever and probably wouldn’t care.

Lucinda- YEEEESSSS!!! As big as Aph and Garroth

garroth - probably wouldn't actually use it that much, got sucked into it by his friends. the only things he's reblogged are some of the generic stuff you get at the start and maybe a few of his friends posts. but he'd make a single good post venting his frustration about something and one of his friends with a bigger blog will reblog it and it'll get 10k notes.

aphmau - cute animals, fandom art, and a concerning amount of misinformation/net zero info posts totally unironically. also probably posts untagged x reader fanfic.

laurance - guy with lots of popular, incomprehensible shitposts but also a fair amount of solid, thought out discourse posts. some multifandom stuff maybe. very much a Tumblr veteran personal blog where be just does whatever.

zane - honestly don't know but he'd tell people to kill themselves on anon. maybe an aesthetic blog or a studyblr where he talks about history or the occult or smth.

katelyn - i think she'd reblog a lot of good informational stuff on current events, self defense, etc. very sober if a bit opinionated. but there's also a non zero chance she has a secret sideblog dedicated to thirsting/writing rpf about real life hockey players or smth.

travis - i think he'd have like 50 sideblogs/is a url hoarder. has gimmick blog where he does some shit like counting the asterisks in your posts.

You Knew

Words: 486 Pairing: John Shelby x Reader Warnings: MCD, Season 4 spoilers A/N: Written for @peakyswift​​‘s 900 follower celebration - It’s short but it does hurt. I hope you like it!

You knew something was wrong as soon as John sorted through the post. His posture stiffened, his face drained of color. He looked up at you, terror in his eyes, and sighed as he picked up the phone. You excused yourself to the kitchen, trusting that he would tell you what happened when he was ready.

It took two hours for John to come out of the study and when he did, he was jumpy, flinching at every sound. You handed him a drink and he sat at the table. Silence fell between the two of you as you sat and waited patiently for him to speak.

“Kids asleep?” he asked quietly, his eyes still on the glass he was spinning between his hands.

“Yeah, they fell asleep about an hour ago. Christmas really wore them out,�� you told him softly.

“I got a black hand in the post. Arthur, too,” he said, his quiet voice laced with fear.

“You’re marked,” you whispered as your eyes widened.

“You’re taking the kids to your parents.” He left no room for discussion and you weren’t in the mood to argue.

“Help me pack, then,” you requested as you rose from your seat.

John did as you asked, packing for yourself and the children quickly and getting the bags loaded into the car. He helped  you gather the children and tuck them into the back seat, kissing them softly and whispering how he loved them.

He wrapped you into a tight hug, feeling the tears streaming from your face soaking into his shirt. “Now, love,” he soothed, “we’ll see each other again soon.”

“We’d better,”  you sniffled, pulling away just enough to kiss him before you left.

You knew. Somehow you knew that the black hand had gotten to John before Tommy showed up at your parents’ door.

Tommy just stood there, smoking his cigarette while you screamed and cursed him, blaming everything that had happened on him. When you were done, he took you down to see John one last time.

The room cleared when you stepped in, whether from compassion or fear, you didn’t care. Your focus was on John’s body laying on the cold table, bullet holes in his chest. Tears spilled down your cheeks as you approached your husband’s corpse.

“You knew, didn’t you?” you whispered sadly. “You knew that it was you that would go first, go soon. And you didn’t want me or the kids there when you did.”

You sobbed as you stroked John’s hair and face, spending a few moments memorizing the way his lashes brushed his cheeks and how his hair always fell to one side. The door cracked open and Finn stuck his head in, nodding sadly to let you know that your time had come to an end.

“We’ll see each other again soon, my love,” you muttered as you brushed a final kiss across his forehead.
