My Tatsumaki headcanon that spurred an entire Beach Episode idea (story outline under cut)

maytama is established (early stages)

group vacation courtesy of Fubuki

usual social circle (Saitama, Genos, King, Tatsu etc are invited)

Mayu is also invited.

Tatsu is offended that a civilian is joining the getaway. Thinks Mayu is a freeloader that just wants to rub elbows with heroes and doesn't trust her in the slightest.

Perfect time to get to know someone...

The gang stay at a Private Villa with a beach and summer shenanigans ensue.

Mayu, feeling out of place because of Tatsu's standoffish attitude (like calling her "plus one") eventually starts having fun with the gang and meshing with the group far better than Tatsu is. This doesn't help Tatsu's disdain towards Mayu....

At some point the two girlies are alone in the water and Mayu tries having a conversation.

Mayu notices Tatsu's never seen without her floatie and speculates aloud that Tatsu might not know how to swim.

Tatsu gives her a look that proves this theory.

Tatsu obviously denies this, Mayu gently bumps the floatie and she freaks.

Mayu tells her it's ok and promises not to tell anyone, even tho it's not a big deal to her.

The following (very early) morning Mayu, still asleep, levitated out of her bed, she is abruptly woken by being dropped into the water.

Mayu resurfaces, obviously in shock, her swimsuit smacks into her face and Tatsu tells her to shut up so she doesn't wake everyone.

Mayu is ordered to teach Tatsu how to swim.

So every morning in secret Mayu and Tatsu are up before everyone else slowly learning the basics and actually learn more about each other. They go to the beach so that their voices don't carry back to the villa and wake everyone else up.

We learn that Tatsu doesn't like being in the water because she finds it disorientating and can't move as effortlessly like when she is flying in the air due to the water's density. what she hates most tho is if she's underwater she immediately goes into a panicked state because she can't see, hear or breathe. Panic shows weakness and she cannot ever let anyone ever see that.

Tatsu is embarrassed by opening up so much

"I'm sure you think less of me now..."

"Are you kidding me?? You're TERRIBLE TORNADO. You're #2 of THE ENTIRE heroes association. YOU CAN FLY ."

Mayu continues to list all that makes Tatsu great including how absolutely terrified she is of her. This humours Tatsu and she plays it off.

"Hm...I suppose that's true."

Their moment is interrupted when a sea monster emerges and Mayu is dragged under. Tatsu fights with the monster and is swatted into the sea but is now able to collect herself and shoot herself back out of the water and wreck shit and save Mayu.

(Something cool for the finisher like she creates a giant whirlpool cuz cuz... it's like...a tornado....but water....)

Mayu is happy that Tatsu isn't afraid of the water and teases her like "aw, you do like me...." And Tatsu threatens to drop her in the middle of the ocean.

The story ends with Tatsu being.... tolerant and a bit more respectful towards Mayu and the two understand each other a little better. As well as a game of chicken fight in the pool with Mayu on Saitama's shoulders and Tatsu on King's, fearing for his life.

Saitama: I'm sorry you've had to put up with her this whole time, she can be a real brat sometimes...

Thinking about my arranged marriage!Neuvillette. Where reader has an interest in alcohol. Not to the point of being a drunkard but she likes to have it on occasions. The first time she drank it was with Neuvi and he saw her eyes sparkle at the taste, which was very foreign in his eyes. Once upon a time, she would sometimes invite him for a drink, but at some point she just never did. She has many habits that could be a showing of "affection", but inviting him for a drink of wine when she just could not sleep never really stuck.

And when Neuvillette realized that he could not help but become solemn at the thought. There were multiple occasions where he saw you with a glass late at night looking out the window, deep in thought enough not to notice him. Before he left thinking that you would like time for yourself, now he could not help but realize that even when time past nothing really changed after years.

~My Thoughts on Wonderful Pretty Cure! - Episodes 46-50~

Episode 46 - Meeeerry Christmas!:

This was a pretty typical Christmas episode. I don’t have much to say about it.

We did get some foreshadowing for Zakuro possibly being reformed or purified. I’m really curious if she’s gonna be present for the final battle or not.

I was super happy when we got that adorable moment between Satoru and Iroha. They love each other so much. It would be awesome if Iroha continues to wear that necklace for the rest of the season.

Besides all that, this episode was pretty stale.

Episode 47 - A Gaou New Year:

And so it begins. The final battle.

To be honest, the only thing I’m expecting is to see a giant wolf. Final battles in Pretty Cure always seem to have some giant monster to defeat. But other than that, I have no idea what’s gonna happen.

I’m glad that Zakuro is starting to come to her senses. Hopefully she can get Gaou to listen to her.

That’s all I have to say for this episode!

Episode 48 - Gaou’s Friends:

Niko down! Things are just getting worse here. Gaou took her power, and I don’t know what he’s gonna do with it.

But more importantly, that plot twist?! Hello?!

I can always predict the plot twists in Pretty Cure, but I didn’t see this one coming at all! So the whole time, it was just Subaru!

Now everything’s turning into a forest. I hope the Pretty Cure are gonna be okay!

Episode 49 - Your Voice:

This one was so sad.

Komugi got hurt, and even though I knew she was gonna be okay, I was scared for her. Iroha didn’t help either. She just made me more sad.

Also, Subaru having a whole mental breakdown was hard to watch. I was just waiting for him to be purified, so it would stop.

Next, the abrupt and disappointing transformations of Satoru and Daifuku. It happened so fast, and it didn’t last long either. Like at least give us an actual transformation sequence. But hey, I had convinced myself it wasn’t gonna happen at all. So I guess I should be more grateful.

Now, Subaru’s purified. So all we have to do is wait for the finale. I’m really hoping it’s gonna be a good one!

Episode 50 - Wonderful Forever!:

Well, it’s over. I still can’t believe it’s been a year already.

As usual for Pretty Cure, the last episode was both heart wrenching and heartwarming. I fully expected that the pets would lose their ability to speak and transform into humans once everything was over. But it was still sad to watch.

Iroha’s pain was so realistic. She felt as though she had lost Komugi, even though she was still there. It just wasn’t the same when she couldn’t talk.

I’m glad the mirror stone granted the animals the ability to speak again. I’m also satisfied that they couldn’t turn human. I feel it’s a good choice, because things still aren’t 100% the same as they used to be.

As for the baton pass, I really liked it! Cure Idol’s little cameo was so cute! Also, I’m assuming that little ribbon Cure Wonderful gave her has something to do with the show. I can’t wait to find out!

Anyways, here’s to the end of yet another season, and the start of a new one!

i’m switching from the whole ‘izanagi says something happened to yu’ plot to ‘the it gets brainwashed like the pts do��

like akira goes to check out inaba, finds their dads old friends all brainwashed like the thieves are (in au), and redoubles their efforts onto tracking down narukami and finally succeeds (having barely been able to find most of the it bc inaba has kinda shit internet and being famous fucking sucks sometimes)

then mayu/yui ends up teaming up with this random teen who knows a lot about her, before finding out that her best friend/hs crush had a kid who is now the leader of the pts (she does, because wild card solidarity; and also she needs to help her team)

yosuke finds out eventually but he’s busy dealing with the rifts and the wrong and he’s fucking hours away and deeply aware of what him suddenly not being home implies to his enemies, so one of the few people he’s ever trusted with his life being there when he can’t is at least a little reassuring

and i’m not talking the full 3rd semester brainwashing, i’m talking more of maruki getting them to think that he’s not a threat despite akira’s deep distrust of him

the more i let my mind wander, the more insane my thought process gets but we all get that way about our blorbos

i’m doing some full bodies of these 3 but that’s gonna take a while and! @verysexyseagull not art but i like ur opinions 🩵🩵

Rotating my current favourite Vocal Synth AU called 'Accidentally a Magical Girl?!' (or shortened to AMG) in my head lately, and I'm so happy that my friends enjoy it as much as I do!

It focuses on Yumemi Nemu, Xin Hua, Mayu, & Tohoku Zunko being summoned as magical girls by the ultimate magi-girl goddess, Rana, and having to fight against a bunch of other Vocal Synths magi-fighters who have been corrupted under Fukase, a magi-boy, who uses everyone he corrupts under his magic. (Or is it really Fukase causing all of this to happen?)

It's chaotic, it's queer, there's found families and some romance as well! I can't wait to work on this series more with my friends as a writing project!

Day 6: Halcyon [FFXIV Writing Challenge 2024]

The frigid mountaintop winds pierce the young Doman's coat, sending a shiver down her spine. Mayu's grip on her father's hand tightens as they walk along the ice, which he squeezes in return to reassure her. The two come to a stop after a few more minutes of trekking across snow and ice, arriving at their first ice hole.

"Dad, what if we don't find any here?"

"We'll find some, Yuyu." His gruff voice carries over the winds, almost becoming one with them for a brief moment. "Here."

A gloved hand offers out a rod towards Mayu. At the same time, the winds quiet down, falling snow now gently gracing the ground like falling feathers. Mayu hesitates, which causes her father to repeat the motion with a grunt.

"I'm not sure I can do it…" She mumbles through her jacket, taking the rod in both hands. "Last time I didn't get any."

"That doesn't matter," her father responds in a curt but gentle tone. "sometimes we don't succeed in our early ventures. But if we give up before we try, that is when we truly fail." He sets out a chair for Mayu. "Now, fish."

Mayu complies, sitting down. She attaches the bait to the jiggling rod, casting her line down the hole. The Doman youth buries her face in the jacket, ready to reel in a potential catch. Her father watches the horizon, content to sit in silence…

Suddenly, a bite!

Mayu cries out excitedly while her father jumps to his feet, barking orders to help her reel the fish back up the ice hole, her rapidly beating heart making it difficult to hear. After what feels like an eternal struggle, Mayu feels her father places his hands on her arms, and together, they do one final pull!

The fish erupts from the water, splashing both of them. Her hands, shaking with adrenaline, helps her father unhook the fish from the line. The two hug, her father's affection warming Mayu up through her jacket.

"You did good, Yuyu." His voice was soft, beaming. "Never give up, not until you've seen it through to the end."
