Let's get some things straight(or not that straight hehe), fandom

This will be a looong post. But please, read it! I don't mean to personally attack anyone or any ships, what I mean with this post is to get y'all to maybe try understanding each other. I will tag this as both Bumbleby and Black Sun, because I need both sides of the fandom to read this. It's important to create an environment of good vibes, because, in the end, we all(or most of us, Idk) want the same things. Our faves to be happy. Salem to be defeated. Faunus and humans living in harmony.

Bumbleby is NOT a toxic relationship. If I had to explain this as an entire analysis, it would take too long and people wouldn't want to read it, so I'll go straight to the generic line of thought. Blake "runs" away. Yang has abandonment issues. So... what now? The right thing to say is: Blake USED to run away. Wouldn't it be easier to go stay with her parents after defending Haven? Wouldn't it be easier to run away when she saw "Adam" on the train? Wouldn't it be easier to avoid Yang? If Blake still had the habit of running away, she would rely on that. But she doesn't. She stays, she promises to stay and she vows to not break that promise. Y'all don't trust Blake's capacity to keep her promise? Well, I do. I know she will. And that's the core of the rebuilding relationship between Blake and Yang. Blake not running anymore. Yang forgiving her and understanding her(Yang's not dumb, when she got to actually fight Adam, she understood Blake).

Not all Bumbleby shippers are bad or toxic people. I won't deny that I have seen some people be toxic, uncool, and everything towards others, even inside our own shipping "community". But it's important to notice that most Bumbleby shippers want to enjoy the show, produce content and enjoy content. If you go through the Bumbleby tag, you'll find mostly shitposts, fanarts, fanfics, ship analysis, and, if you go further, beehaw. There are some people who bash Sun for 0 reason? Yeah, there are. But they are the minority, and it's unfair to judge a whole group of people because of a small vocal part.

Not liking Bumbleby DOES NOT make people homophobic. It just means that the person doesn't feel a connection to the ship, and that's okay. I, for example, think some ships are cute, but I don't see them happening, bc I simply don't feel a connection to them. And I'm a bisexual girl who is supportive of the LGBTQ+ community!

Bashing Sun for absolutely no reason is unnecessary. I get some people were mad at him for following Blake the way he did, I was too. But as volume 4 developed, and volume 5 came in, Sun showed himself as a very supportive friend. Ship Black Sun or not, we can't deny that he helped Blake. And we can't deny that they care about each other. So, yeah, getting all the steps the guy makes, and every breath he takes, and turning it into some sort of atrocity that should be used against him/against his relationship with Blake is annoying.

Shipping Black Sun DOES NOT make people homophobic. It just means people like their dynamic and enjoy the idea of them together. Although I don't ship it, and lately have been seeing the two of them as very close friends, people have all the right to ship whatever they want. Don't take away others' right to ship. It's that old lesson everyone(I guess) is taught: your freedom ends when somebody's freedom begins.

It's okay to enjoy Adam's character construction, design, etc. I personally really like the work CRWBY did with him. They made him real. They made him someone who hides more than his eyes. And his design was, undeniably, one of the coolest of the show! So... stop bashing people when they say they liked Adam as a character. It does not mean they enjoyed him "as a person", which leads to the next topic.

It is NOT okay is to excuse Adam Taurus' actions and treat him as some sort of "poor boy". He was a victim of humanity's ways, yes, and that's undeniable. But let's not forget that he also killed innocents for the pleasure of it, hurt someone badly just to make another suffer, was involved in mass murders and such, even when the high leader didn't approve of some actions(Sienna clearly disapproved the Fall of Beacon). Adam was also abusive towards Blake, and it started as manipulation and psychological abuse. Pre-Beacon, we don't see him hit her, but psychological abuse is as bad as physical abuse. You see, Blake's self deprecation, the thought that she is better off alone... it all came from her time with him. So it is not okay to make Adam some sort of hero. He cannot- and should not- be lionized.

Someone having a different opinion than yours DOES NOT mean they didn't watch the show, it just means they watched it under a different pov. Not comprehending that makes the environment of the fandom a toxic place. That's toxic behavior, and it's something really sad to see. Each person is their own universe, and we have to respect that.

I’ve been browsing on the long lists of fanfics for Danny Phantom and many AU’s and found none about soulmates, not even one (and if there is it completely escaped me), I understand that’s not the spirit of the show (XD) and that it culd be difficult, but at least in my mind is not that difficult, maybe somewhere somebody thought about this already, anyway

What about...

* Every one has a white line around their right wrist, and it turns a different color when they meet their soulmate, only thing here, Danny’s line became gray after the accident and he uses some sort of band to cover it. Everything changes at some point when the line turns a pale reddish-brown one day when he’s human and a not so glowy but still green color when he’s a ghost, you can pair him up with who ever you want.

* The one where the eye color changes could be fun, since the soulmate could be really confused as to why it changes from blue to green so often

*One that could be interesting is the one where there’s a clock on with a countdown, no matter how you use it if at some point it means life time span you could have issues with it running and stopping every once in a while for a very stressed soulmate

*One where the world is black and white until you meet the soulmate but it looses color when they die, specially if certain ghost boy has to switch often or if by some reason he looses control over it for a day or something, gives for a good headache and ‘we need to solve this now’ kind of story

* The tatto one would be interesting, seeing as there is that Circus ghost that had many tatoos that came to life, it would do for some interesting power too

*A reincarnation one where you regain your memories from the past, this one will make it interesting to talk with other ghost, like ‘why didn’t you came back?’, ‘isn’t somebody out there waiting for you?’... oh, the angst and the possibilities

*The red string one works similar than the first one (the wrist line) but not everyone can see the string, only people with some special abilites can, imagine the Fentons working on this and the ghost portal, somehow with the idea that ghost can see it, but you can also add mediums, some religious figures, and somehow, shortly after the accident, Danny becames popular just because one time he complained about the huge mess of tangles in the school hallways

I don’t know, I think there’s still more that can come from the phandom, I just love being back and feeling creative (I realy needed vacations T-T)

Okay, this drawing was done without much expectation, I have a lot of that paper, and a bottle of India ink that I haven't used in a long time. I made a drawing and took a brush, (I don't usually do this with brushes at all, usually if I paint they are simple things that do not require fine lines, so it is not my best work) as it does not look so bad I put some details and the result is this. The reference used aside.

Accidental poisoning

Read it at AO3!

Danny was feeling under the weather, he had been feeling ill for some days already, which was weird cause he hadn’t got a cold since getting his core to fully develop, he could do like Elsa and proudly claim “the cold didn’t bother him anyway”; so, when he started hearing wheezing when he breathed and feeling more sleepy than usual (which shouldn’t be worse than it was, but here he was) he worried. To top it all he felt his throat ache and felt dizzy every once in a while.

It didn’t really help when Sam brought him some herbal remedies; the goth girl had given him some cough syrup made with eucalypt and also a cream as a form of aromatherapy, if anything this just made it worse. Not only was he dizzy now, but he was also nauseous and he still blamed the syrup for losing his lunch than evening, but Vortex had only managed to get him dizzier than he already was, and the syrup tasted horrible!

He was currently curled up in his bed, cradling his stomach that had been aching ever since; maybe he was doing something wrong somehow. However the more he thought about it, the less sense he could make of it. He had been sleeping more than usual (cause of how drowsy he usually felt), he hadn’t missed any meals, even those Sam had shared with him, even if she liked to use all sorts of plants, he hated the flavor of some of them, there were some leaves she was adding that were way to sour.

He closed his eyes, wishing that some sleep would help him feel better, but just as soon as he closed his eyes the door opened, Danny immediately lifted his head to see who had invaded his room, only to find Jazz already leaning above him to check on him. She knew better than trying to check his temperature with a hand on his forehead, so when she reached out to his face he batted off her hand.

She held his hand and stopped him, which sucked because he wasn’t feeling strong enough to stop her, but he did complain when she used her fingers to open more one of his eyes and looked at it critically.

“What?!” he asked, trying to know why exactly her sister thought an eye inspection had anything to do with how he felt.

“You’ve been poisoned”, she stated flatly, then she turned around and while Danny used a minute to work around the dizziness that overcame him when he sat up, she returned with a glass of water and two black pills.

“What’s that?” he asked, noticing his words were a bit slurred “Why… how do you even know I was poisoned?” he asked taking the glass of water and eyeing the black pills warily.

“I looked up your symptoms”, well, of course, she had. “I think you need to talk with Sam and take her to see Frostbite too.” Danny had closed his eyes and gulped down the black pills, he could always ask later, he trusted Jazz enough to not question her choices when it came to his health, she had learned a lot about that after being introduced to Frostbite.

“Why are we talking about Sam now? I thought I was the one poisoned…”

Jazz smiled and looked up at the ceiling, whatever she was going to say, he wasn’t going to like it.

“Well, I actually think she’s the one responsible for your condition, and before you say anything, I think this comes from that one time she was affected by Undergrowth” Danny frowned and looked at her skeptically, he lifted an eyebrow trying to get more information from her.

“Look, you know I like Sam, she’s a nice girl, and I know you two are taking things slow… but she’s been feeding you some plants that … uhm, while not toxic, can be dangerous in high doses, you’re just showing the ‘normal’ reaction to it, as in normal for you… and she’s not, so I’m also a bit worried about her”

Okay, that made some sense, he had been trying to understand Sam’s eating habits and had been trying mostly everything she had placed under his nose, including salads, more salads, juices, flavored water, the damn syrup, the cream, and… okay, he was probably doing more than he was supposed to if he was honest…

“…Even your room has started smelling like our granny’s room,” said Jazz, he had missed part of what she had said, but yeah, now he totally got it. Their grandmother had also been a fan of the herbal remedies and her room had had a particular smell that he could faintly remember now.

He pulled out his phone and dialed Sam’s number; better take care of this sooner rather than later. After hurriedly explaining why he needed her to come as soon as she could Danny excused himself, he still didn’t know what Jazz had given him, but it seemed like his dinner wouldn’t make the trip either.

About an hour and a half later, they were both at Frostbite’s nurse bay, Danny had been set up to a detoxing machine and was feeling better already, apparently exceeding the consumption of eucalypt was dangerous, and overdosing could be fatal, though the activated carbon that Jazz had given him had been a good way to start, so he was now going to make his own salads from now on and if Sam wanted to share there was a safe list there, speaking of which, she was sitting over the examination table and Frostbite was now reading some results from a series of tests he had done to her.

Apparently, her contact with Undergrowth and her habit of being an ultra recyclo-vegetarian had had an effect on her, making her immune to almost all plants that could generate an adverse effect on people, while she was able to use the beneficial properties more efficiently than most; she was now immune to almost every toxin or poison, and while she had known about the effects, when she didn’t experience any bad reaction, she hadn’t really worried thinking it was on safe levels.

It was kind of surprising seeing her expression when Frostbite listed all the effects she wasn’t going to be able to experience now, though he didn’t know what to think of her face when a certain psychedelic drug was mentioned, he couldn’t know if it was betrayal, superiority or disappointment. It didn’t give her any other abilities though, but apparently, she could now consider herself out of the safe level of ecto-contamination, they now just wondered if Tucker will show anything similar with time.

Sorry you're home sick RTA! How about Greenflame for the ship ask?

Thank you dude! Sorry it took me a while to get to this, but here and I got it now! Thanks for your patience.

1. How do much do I ship it?: Never heard of it/ Notp / Dislike / used to ship / maybe / ship it / aww / otp / IS IT CANON YET?

2. What non sexual activities do they like to do together?

Training, going to see movies, sometimes playing video games, fighting among side each other in battle and saving people together, racing each other with their elemental dragons, or just talking to each other.

3. Who does chores around the house?

Lloyd is often more busy then Kai so he has to finish the chores more often.

4.Who’s the better cook?

Kai. But only because he secretly watches youtube videos on how to cook before he does, he refuses to admit it though. No matter how much Lloyd can see through his bluff.

5. Who’s the funniest drunk?

Even if Lloyd did drink, he still wouldn’t get nearly as loopy as Kai does.

It might have to do with the time he got sprayed with Venomari venom, but Kai can get very out of touch with reality and do a lot of stupid yet hilarious stuff. Lloyd does everything he can to make sure he doesn’t get seriously hurt, but sometimes isn’t also afraid to film him when he’s doing something particularly hilarious to show to the others.

6. Do they have kids?

I could definitely imagine them adopting a kid when they both get older, but since Kai didn’t have parents for most of his life growing up, and Lloyd had a lot of issues with his father, I would imagine both of them would be very unsure of how to parent.

Lloyd would play the roll of the over enthusiastic happy-go-lucky parent, who really doesn’t want to be a bad father and goes out of his way to make sure he isn’t even remotely similar to how his father once was.

Kai would be the “cool dad,” letting the kid stay up a little bit past bedtime, try to act cool in front of the kids friends, and be a lot more chill than Lloyd. Mostly because he doesn’t really know if he’s doing things right, but if he acts confident about it then it can’t be that bad. (Which is basically his mindset for everything.)

Both of them I would imagine being very protective. Lloyd more than Kai in just common life, but Kai would most certainly turn into a paranoid wreck if their kid is ever put in a situation where she could be really hurt, like if the kid was training to go on missions or things like that.

(Sorry this turned much longer then I thought it would, I know the question was just “would they have kids” but I absolutely love this idea so much I had to expand on it a little bit at least.)

7. Do they have any traditions?

I’m not really sure. I could imagine the two of them doing something on the day Lloyd defeated the Overlord (sort of) since the two of them were quite a big focus during that time. Idk.

8. What do they fight about?

Oh boy here we go.

Obviously they would have simple little arguments sometimes like most couples do, but I think there would be one really big problem they would really get emotional with.

I know this is sort of behavior for Kai is only sort of hinted at in canon, but I imagine Kai would be very loyal and protective of Lloyd, to the point of making himself think he matters less than him, and put his own well-being and even his life on the line to make sure Lloyd’s safe. Lloyd of coarse doesn’t want him to do that and have Kai possibly get too hurt trying to help him, but Kai is just too terrified of the thought of loosing Lloyd to listen to him.

I’m not super sure how Kai would break out of that mindset, that could probably be for a fanfic all on it’s own, but I have faith they’d be okay.

9. What would they do if they found their paring tag on tumblr? (If they have one)

Well they’re not real so they never would, but I think if they don’t find the hateful stuff, Kai would absolutely love all the fanart, fics, and other stuff people have made and would totally show any new kind of things he finds to Lloyd, which would just make him blush and feel a little shy.

10.Who cried at the end of Marley and me?

Out of the two of them, Lloyd would probably cry the most while Kai would act like it doesn’t get to him but would be crying himself to sleep that night.

11.Who always wins at Mario kart?

Lloyd. Kai could get close but he always makes a wrong turn somewhere that would completely mess him up. Also Lloyd can be downright evil with turtle shells.

(Lil extra headcannon: I would imagine on game night where everyone is playing Mario Kart together, Kai would always focus on helping Lloyd win without letting Lloyd even know.)

12.One thing I like about this ship?

Greenflame has almost all my favorite ship tropes put into it, and reminds me a lot of a bunch of other otps I ship. I know a lot of what I like about the ship involves a lot of projecting things that aren’t entirely there, but …it’s shipping. It’s kind of part of the bargain.

13.One thing I don’t like about the ship?

Ignoring the obvious elephanti in the room, the only thing I don’t like about it is it competes with another ship I like equally as much as greenflame is greenstorm. To this day I still can’t choose which one I like more.

14.The song I would say fits them?

Ho ho man, I don’t think I could choose just one. I listen to a lot of soundtrack pieces that remind me of them, heck I could probably make a whole playlist, but if I had to pick and choose, I would narrow it down to these two songs:

Do it for Her - After everything I’ve just said, this should be quite self explanatory. Just switch the genders and pronouns and I could personally imagine Kai singing this about Lloyd to… I’m not sure who but you get my point.

Your Silver Garden - Okay I admit, this is mostly a greenflame song for me because of my Magica AU so it’s probably really weird coming from an outsider, but gosh darn this song is just so beautiful and reminds me so much of those two that I couldn’t not mention it.

15. Another headcanon about the paring? (Free space)

Lloyd and Kai hold hands almost all the time. Mostly when they’re out in public areas, on missions, or by themselves. It’s a big comfort for both of them.
